Everything You Know About Skin Care is Wrong - with Danny Neifert Before our guest Danny Neifert dove into the four pillars of optimal skin health, show host Wade T. Lightheart asks her about the “dark arts” of skincare that mislead people into painful procedures and applications. Many skincare routines and products do more damage than good — or they do nothing at all. Danny talks about all of this from her years of experience as a licensed aesthetician with over twenty years of experience with natural product formulating and hands-on individual treatments with clients. She is a clean beauty advocate and speaker, author of Relearning Skincare, The Story of Skin and the New Way, who loves to bring skin health back down to earth through story and practicality. In this podcast, we cover: How Danny ended up going down the rabbit hole of skincare and emerged an expert How our skin is our first line of defense - which is why we should treat our skin well - not burn, clog or scrape it abusively The “caveman” and “cave girl” skincare method The dodgy marketing techniques that suck you into the beauty aisle at your local drug store What types of skincare you should avoid The four pillars of skin health - the “bill of rights for skin” Functional medicine model: skin is hydrated, nourished, and unclogged How Danny’s skincare career started with a bottle of horrible pink goop… In her early twenties, Danny was a young mother - when she brought home her first child from the hospital. This is when Danny became mindful of the importance of taking care of our skin. She bathed her infant daughter, then applied something from KMART called baby magic. Danny remembers the product was pink and smelled like melted plastic. “Even back then, I had the good sense to give her another bath to take it off.” Before her first child’s bath, the skin was not something Danny thought much about. Becoming a parent sent Danny on a quest to understanding our skin. She went down the “rabbit hole” of the skincare industry, spent thousands of dollars to further her education, and the twists and turns of this 20-year journey led Danny to her current skincare business that she describes as a hybrid of medical skincare and natural skincare. Got acne? Be careful which products you choose. Danny talks about acne - what causes it and how to treat it. Most acne products you find on store shelves are astringent, which will dehydrate your skin. Danny says dehydrated skin is the most significant contributor to congested skin. Congested and dry are the same thing with skin. Our skin is supposed to be soft and permeable and a release organ. You are supposed to have a whitehead once in awhile. If you never have a whitehead, your skin is probably dehydrated. Acne products dry out our skin at an extreme level, which causes the skin to get congested, and Danny describes the build-up as like your skin is constipated below the surface. So don’t use acne products. If you use them and don’t have acne, eventually, you will. Tune in as Danny Neifert tears down the myths of skincare. There’s a difference between cosmetic industry skincare vs. natural skincare. Stop getting ripped off by “Big Skincare.” Change the way you care for your skin and start glowing with a new radiant look - like we’re all supposed to look! Men will benefit from this episode, too. You can look years younger by implementing some simple skincare changes! One of the main reasons most tradies get into business is to earn more money. Yet ironically, financial education is one of the things we were never taught at school. So when we dive into the profit and loss statement, we end up staring at it with a puzzled look, not really knowing whether business is good or bad. Well, there's no need to get dizzy just by looking at those numbers anymore. In this week's podcast episode, Danny Kerr—co-founder of Breakthrough Academy and a repeat guest—joins us once more in the first episode of the “Measuring What You Manage: The Only Way to Run a Profitable Trades Business at Scale” series. Today, we talk about budgeting and how it is essential to be able to interpret and break down your financial data effectively. Competitors come in, product life cycles and Amazon are fairly short unless you have a really unique product or a patent. So, if you’re not constantly doing product research, launch a new product, just doing things to maximize your current product, then it’s not doing to last” “I would recommend hiring a dedicated, at least part-time / 20 hour, general virtual assistant. If you can afford it, you can get something like that $400 a month. Even if your profits are not much more than that, the ability to be able to focus on the things are going to generate more revenue for your business that is going to improve the system so that you can scale the business. Just the fact that you can focus on that, even if you keep your profits not that high above break-even, you are going to be building an asset for yourself that can then scale to a much larger company.” “It’s really important to go through a process at least 5 times by yourself so you really understand the process. If you are anything like me - you’ve struggled with how to deal with your inner critic over the years. There are a few things that have helped me deal with my inner critic, but I am always excited to hear what my peers have done to address this common issue in the art community. Here to share his unique and valuable perspective is the artist - Danny Gregory. Danny is an artist, and he has written nearly a dozen internationally best-selling books on art and creativity. He is also the co-founder of Sketchbook Skool with tens of thousands of students worldwide. In our conversation, Danny opens up about how he got started as an artist, why he loves working on “Zines,” how he deals with his inner critic, what it takes to stay creative, and much more. I know you’ll get a ton of benefit from Danny’s thoughtful perspective. Find your people! If you’ve been around the Savvy Painter community for any stretch of time, you know that I am passionate about encouraging artists like you to find your people. Let’s face it - life as an artist can be a lonely existence - but it doesn’t have to be! Even back in the ’90s, artists like Danny Gregory found a way to connect with peers who would encourage and challenge them in their creative pursuits. Discovering an artist from eastern Oregon by flipping through a “Zine” at Tower Records in New York City changed Danny’s life. He quickly befriended this artist via correspondence, and the two went on many trips together. Have you found your people yet? Why “Zines” are so appealing Speaking of “Zines,” have you ever encountered one before? When Danny mentioned reading zines in Tower Records back in the 90’s I had a total flashback to my college years. For my millennial followers - zines or fanzines are publications produced by enthusiasts of a particular niche interest. Traditionally, zines are circulated free of charge, or for a nominal cost to defray postage or production expenses. There are so many amazing things you can do with the zine medium - and according to Danny, they are starting to make a comeback! Nurturing a creative focus A few years ago, Danny wrote a book called “Art Before Breakfast.” I love that title by the way! His book explored several small ways he incorporated his drive for creativity each day. From keeping a sketchbook next to the kettle in the kitchen to sketching an image while waiting for his wife to finish shopping - there are a ton of helpful ideas that artists like you can use. At the heart of Danny’s message is this - you can fit creativity and art making throughout your day if you just redefine what that means. For many of you - Danny’s approach will be a bit of stretch - after all, we are conditioned to think of “Art-making” as a structured and specific time we set aside. Dealing with the inner critic Another book Danny wrote is called, “Shut Your Monkey: How to Control Your Inner Critic.” In this book, Danny explains how he’s dealt with and learned to live with his inner critic. Do you still struggle with silencing your inner critic? If so - I can’t recommend Danny’s book enough! He dove deep into where the inner critic comes from in our minds and how to better understand it. Danny discovered that the voice of the inner critic actually is there to protect us from making risky decisions - which is great when it comes to danger - not so great when it comes to creating art. Make sure to check out the links to Danny’s website and his books in the resources section - I know that many of you will find them helpful! Wassup bid-ness peeps! Episode 42 was BANGIN with top real estate dude Danny Rezko and comic Noshod Barrow (soon to be Cincinnati's funniest comedian)! While we had a sh!tload of fun, we also got into some serious stuff with Danny about his dad and role model, Tony Rezko. You see, Tony was one of Chicago's top businessmen: - Muhammad Ali's business manager - owned 75+ fast food restaurants - ran one of the largest real estate companies - provided Obama with his first seed money. Then, in 2008, Tony and several others were convicted in a broad Illinois corruption scandal. Tony got jail time. Danny tells us the story of losing his role model and how that impacted him. Danny also walked us step by step through how he and a team are looking to make upwards of $50 million on a real estate deal of a 320-unit apartment complex. Before that, tho, my grandma came on and broke down the train wreck Uber IPO and explained why all sorts of sh!t is hittin the fan with these IPOs. We have a really great interview for you today! Danny Estner is on the show! He is the Head of Marketing for NuORDER, a cloud & mobile B2B eCommerce solution empowering brands and retailers to streamline their business operations since 2011. We had a great discussion with Danny about the evolving relationship between brands and retailers, caused partly by the new ecosystems they had to adapt to and partly driven by Amazon and e-commerce. If before we used to navigate through many different channels prefered by brands, now it has become clearer that these channels can be synergistic, they can exist alongside each other, and they can also be complementary to one another. In other words, it's not one channel versus the other any longer. Information found online can compliment a shopper's experience in a retail store and, similarly, the customer's experience in a retail store can compliment an online shopping experience. For many years, the process by which brand manufacturers and retailers collaborated was pen and paper driven, and so it was slow, arduous and often error-prone. NuORDER is a technology company that helps streamline that process, as today's consumer has become accustomed to jumping online and getting all the information they need at any time. Wholesalers realized that they had to catch up by moving to the digital sphere, and this is where NuORDER comes in. NuORDER has digitized the wholesale process to make the collaboration between brands and retailers real-time, dynamic, and online. KEY TAKEAWAYS Although their primary customer is the brand, NuORDER really represents both the brand and the retailer. What differentiates NuORDER from other technology platforms. The study that NuORDER put together around the changing dynamics between brands and retailers. Danny gives his perspective around how the relationships between brands and their buyers at retail stores have shifted. Why these business models are so interesting to brands. Some examples of the business models that have really been enticing to brands. Why there is currently less hostility from retailers towards Amazon. Amazon is evolving to be more than just an online store. It's evolving to become an online search engine. Amazon is the jumping off point for many consumers for their buyer journey. Consumers expect to be able to have key questions about products answered on Amazon. Amazon is becoming more of a marketing channel, so it can be used strategically, as a platform for brands getting discovered and for generating social proof for their products. How Danny sees brands investing more in their relationships with retailers. What retailers are doing to attract brands and bring value to them. Brands understand that retail plays a very important role for them, so the brand/retail relationship is actually getting stronger and more collaborative. Danny Schuman is a writer, marketer, entrepreneur, and president of the marketing consultancy, Twist, which specializes in brand marketing as well as product and service innovation. Before starting Twist, Danny wrote and directed marketing campaigns that helped build iconic brands like Quaker Oatmeal, Coors Light, and Gatorade. His bestselling book “The Worst Business Model in the World: A New Kind of Guide for a New Kind of Entrepreneur” is available on Amazon. What you’ll learn about in this episode: How the big economic downturn of 2008 launched a new adventure for Danny. How crumbs from agencies Danny worked with in his corporate career become the dough for his business when he created Twist. Why Danny believes the economic downtime was actually the perfect time to go out on his own when conventional wisdom suggests otherwise. Hint! The numbers support him. Why Danny continues to operate on a “startup” model even though Twist has been in business for 10 years now. How Danny came up with the title of his book. Why he almost changed it. And why he ultimately decided to keep it. Danny’s belief that each new project is an opportunity to solve a different problem and why that appeals to him. Danny’s belief that it’s more important to shift the focus to making friends rather than making money and how by developing those relationships with friends, you’re essentially creating a network that will help you make even more money in the end. Why Danny doesn’t prepare for meetings. And, why he thinks you shouldn’t prepare for them either. Hint! It’s more about listening than talking. What Danny believes is the most critical skill business owners need to master for success in today’s highly competitive marketplace. The most influential lesson Danny has learned from a mentor and how that lesson has shaped the way he operates his business. Not to mention his bottom line. Who Susie is and how creative types of business owners need a Susie in their lives and how more business oriented business owners need someone more creative to help with their businesses. It all goes back to that important lesson Danny learned from his mentor. Ways to contact Danny: Website: www.TwistYourThinking.com

How are you Danny? Danny: I'm good. Thank you for having me. Steve: It's certainly a pleasure to have you and I couldn't help from the accent to notice that that doesn't sound American. Where are you from Danny? Danny: I'm based just outside of London but I’m originally born in London. Steve: Okay, fair enough. and so I know you and and I already know that you're Awesomer but help our audience understand kind of what you do in your day to day world. What do you spend your time doing mostly? Danny: Okay. My life is split into various different areas though my day starts with Asia into the UK into the US. I run three businesses. One’s an Amazon product business where we’re in Home Kitchen and in Topicals. I’ve also got an agency with my partner Ellis who is the guy behind Jungle Scout. We’ve got a PPC service agency that does automation. It’s managed accounts as well. We can do international page like multilingual PPC and we mainly manage large accounts. I also got a service business as well which is in the construction industry. I also host Seller Sessions which we publish three times a week and I also do public speaking on all things Amazon. Steve: So basically what you're saying is you only work in about half time. That’s a pretty light scheduled there, very impressive. Knowing how many pots you’re hands are stirring at one time, plates you’re spinning - whatever metaphor you prefer, do you find it rewarding to you or stressful to you? Danny: No, I love every minute of it. I enjoy what i do. If I didn’t like it, I’d have to get it removed from my life. I got to that age, I’m 42 now. I want to enjoy my life. This is going to be stressful from time to time but if you are passionate about what you do, that’s what gets you up in the mornings.

Join your host Declan Edwards as he interviews this week’s special guest, Danny Hersee. Danny recently made a massive change in his life - choosing not to follow 5 generations worth of family history in order to pursue what he was personally passionate about. Tune in to find out: 1. Danny’s 3 key steps for making a massive change (even if it’s scary) 2. How Danny knew it was time to make a change 3. How to react when everyone around you doesn’t believe in your vision.
I love hearing success stories – especially from individuals who found theirs from the ground up. My guest today, Danny Morel, is one of these stories. Considered the “man of the house” at an early age after a cross-country move from New York to California, he shouldered a lot in order to protect and provide for his family. From driving at age 13 to starting his first business at age 18, he knew he was wired for more in life. Since that time, Danny has run successful businesses, only to lose everything when the market crashed, and once again fought his way back to become the owner of several businesses that earn more than $40 million in revenue. Crediting much of his success to his thought process, he unknowingly (and luckily for us) lays out a step-by-step plan to help others get what they want, too. You definitely don’t want to miss this inspiring and motivational conversation. Oh and if you’re in the L.A. area July 11-13, be sure to get to tickets to his Relentless event. There will be some incredible speakers and I’m so bummed I can’t make it. Check out how you can get a free $199 general admission ticket in the Resources section! -- Question Highlights: What’s your favorite quote? What’s one of your superpowers? With over 20 years’ experience in the real estate business as a coach, mentor and broker, he embarked on a career as a salesperson at 19. By 27 years old, Danny had earned 1.5 million in commissions during the course of one calendar year. Even more impressive was his ABSOLUTE commitment to creating a leveraged business. Danny successfully closed 150 transactions that year while only averaging 4.5 days a week of work, while others struggled to close 30 transactions while working 7 days a week. His passion for others led him to teach the EXACT principles he followed as a sales person to others through his brokerage that started at zero and within 5 years of opening achieved 800 million dollars in sales annually. In 2017, his brokerage closed nearly 1 billion dollars in sales volume in only its 6th full year in business. His companies have been featured on the Inc 500 and Inc5 000 lists as one of the fastest growing companies in America between 2015 and 2017. People that work with Danny experience transformations that are typically unheard of. 30, 50 even 400% increase in production within 12 months are common play. In 2017 he authored his first book, The Resilience Road Map to provide his step-by-step philosophy of success to entrepreneurs worldwide and launched M.PIRE University, an online coaching university for entrepreneurs now hosting hundreds of clients. When not working on improving the lives of others, Danny enjoys time with his beautiful wife, Claudia and their three boys. -- Resources Instagram: @dannymorel RelentlessEvent.com July 11, 12, 13, 2018 | Los Angeles, CA **Get a BONUS General Admission Ticket!** When you buy a ticket and following me at ChrisWHarder on IG, I’ll pay for an additional General Admission ticket (value $199) for the first 10 people who message me with a receipt (I’m offering 5 and Danny is matching an additional 5!) -- For more stories and tips on becoming unapologetically wealthy, follow me @Chriswharder on Instagram and check out fortheloveofmoney.com.

I’m often asked for advice on career opportunities in the world of ReWilding. Many people feel stuck in the rut of a 9-5 and dream of doing work in the world that’s fulfilling, meaningful, adds value to the lives of others and is in line with their personal beliefs and values. I’ve spent over a decade setting up a lifestyle where work and play blend seamlessly. It is a beautiful thing to wake up each day and do work that fuels you with passion, drive and purpose. I’ve seen health and wellness “trends” come and go over the years, and I’ve found the ones that stand the test of time are those rooted in our ancestral biology. Natural movement is one such niche of the ReWilding lifestyle, and today’s episode instructs on how you can get involved with natural movement as a career path. Danny Clark — MovNat Performance Director and Master Instructor — is here to share a bit about the MovNat Trainer Certification program with us. MovNat is more than a system of natural movements, it is a training platform for enhancing the efficiency of your motility — walking, running, climbing, crawling, bounding and vaulting, lifting and carrying. It is a ReWilding approach to movement, placing its emphasis on retraining the brain and reprogramming our movement software. I’ve personally attended the MovNat Level 1 and 2 Trainer Certification courses and can vouch for the caliber of instruction and value received (and fun had!). What I learned from MovNat has helped me to become more efficient in how I move through day to day life. In particular, it has immensely improved my efficiency in hunting and gathering, which I explain more about in this show. If you are interested in a starting a more meaningful career path and are passionate about natural movement, now is a great time to get involved on the ground floor of this budding industry! What do values have to do with your business? Isn’t business just about making money? Danny Iny, CEO and founder of Mirasee and author of Teach and Grow Rich: Share Your Knowledge to Create Global Impact, Freedom and Wealth, shares his reflections on how values can enrich an entrepreneur’s life as well as become a core competitive advantage. In this episode of Business Reimagined, you’ll discover: What business is really about (hint: it’s not just about money) The key indicator that sets apart great online courses (and other products) from mediocre ones How technology has made it virtually impossible to conduct business without ethics and transparency A simple barometer to determine, at any given time, whether you’re conducting business with integrity Why online course creators have the exciting opportunity to empower people, not as a cause that’s tacked onto their business, but as its core effect Listen to this episode to discern what it means—and what it takes—to build a business that’s aligned with your values: Key Points: 01:30 - The opportunity for many to experience the magical convergence of making an impact in the lives of people and doing so profitably 03:46 - The true meaning of growing “rich” 06:38 - Game theory and how it relates to conducting an ethical business 10:56 - Danny’s his definition of business 13:55 - The exciting opportunity for online course creators 14:13 - Consequences for online course creators who don’t really care about their students’ outcomes 17:04 - How Danny lets his values guide his business behavior 19:38 - An example of how ethical behavior pays off in unexpected ways 25:42 - Danny’s advice to entrepreneurs who want to build businesses in alignment with their values
Danny Iny was a self-described “goodie two shoes” for the first fourteen years of his life. Until the age of 15, when he suddenly lost interest in school, missed 152 days of classes and then convinced his parents to let him drop out in the middle of ninth-grade so he could start a business. They let him. He started that business and climbed aboard the entrepreneurial roller-coaster which was initially filled with some ups but a whole bunch of downs or as he calls them “plot twists” including losing everything in 2011 after his 3-year old startup imploded… Leaving him down -- but not out. In 2011, he started Firepole Marketing with less than nothing: No traffic No subscribers No relationships with any influencers in the industry And over $250,000 of personal debt (left over from that last failed startup) Which he then turned into into a seven-figure business through: Some ingenious marketing efforts (Such as becoming the "Freddy Krueger of Blogging") A strong commitment to teaching people And whole lot of listening to what his customers actually wanted In essence, he discovered the magic of how to “Teach and Grow Rich” and has since helped thousands of other people do the same. In this exclusive interview Danny walks us through his journey up until today... from dropping out of high-school -- to serving in the Israeli military -- to his first business “misfires” and... How he finally lit the match, made things simple and became one of the world leaders in the online education and marketing space. Some of the big things you'll learn from Danny in this "on fire" interview are: The four kinds of "educator entrepreneurs" that exist... and how to determine which one you are. How Danny convinced his parents to let him drop out of school at 15.... and why he’s completely fine if his own kids choose the same path (starting with first grade). Why stepping into difficult situations (that you’d rather avoid) will ultimately make you better in every way possible... and how he had to do this recently. What the two contradictory and unsustainable business models (that destroy many entrepreneurs) are... and how to "straddle" them both for success. What the "Teach and Grow Rich Opportunity" is... and the super simple steps you need to take to harness it. We'll cover all of that (and a lot more) in this exclusive interview with Danny Iny in Episode #11! Thank you SO much for checking out the Deconstructing Success show. On this episode of the Amazing Seller podcast you’re going to learn all about the power and importance of reviews on your Amazon products. Danny Brewer and Scott Voelker have a lot of experience soliciting and promoting reviews and both of them have tons to share about reviews and review groups and how they can help and hurt you when you’re trying to get your products out to the world. What do reviews accomplish for your products? Reviews are one of the most important parts of getting your product moved to the top of the page when someone searches for keywords related to your product. But there’s not a direct correlation. Reviews encourage potential customers to buy your product. Why? Because it appears to be more legitimate, more trustworthy. It’s THOSE sales that push your product higher in the organic search results. On this episode you’re going to hear two experienced Amazon sellers chat about the right and wrong ways to go about getting reviews for your Amazon products. What’s the biggest reason reviews are deleted by the Amazon powers? Amazon’s policies require reviews to be posted within certain guidelines. If your reviewers are not following those guidelines, the reviews they leave will eventually be deleted, which is of no benefit to you. The main reason for deletions is that people who receive a product for free (through one of your promotions) in exchange for a review do not say so in their review. Amazon requires that. On this episode you’re going to hear how you can encourage and even help you reviewers leave their response to your product without it being deleted. Be careful of the trolls that lurk in public review groups. When you post a free code for your product in an effort to promote it, you may get a great response. But consider what could happen (and often does). The people who see your free promo are not only potential customers, they could be potential competitors - and some of those competitors will do anything to hurt your sales, even buying your product using your promo, and leaving a bad review. It’s something that happens and that you should be very leary of. Today’s episode features some ideas you can put into place to make it where you don’t have to use public groups. How can you find good, quality places to ask for good reviews? Danny Brewer learned early on that promoting Amazon products with free or discounted coupons is problematic at best. Not only can trolls buy your product and give you bad reviews, people who are not serious about reviewing products can get in there, give you bad or lackluster reviews, and hurt your product in the end. Danny’s got a group that he’s been able to develop that is a powerful way to get quality reviews, and you can submit your products for consideration. The group doesn’t accept every product, so know that going in. Listen to this episode to get the details.
