Rob and Michele Reiner did everything right. They showed up to every therapy session. They paid for eighteen rehab stays. They hired private instructors and family therapists. They let their troubled son live in their guesthouse even after he destroyed it—multiple times. And on December 14, 2025, they were found stabbed to death in their Brentwood home. Their son Nick, 32, was arrested that night and now faces two counts of first-degree murder.Today on True Crime Today, we break down the troubling history of Nick Reiner—the entitled Hollywood son whose struggles with addiction and mental illness were met with endless resources and zero consequences. A 2009 rehab roommate tells the Daily Mail that Nick was "a fucking pompous little punk" who constantly ranted about hating his parents—the same parents who attended every family session while other wealthy families sent nannies. We examine Nick's own admissions on the Dopey podcast: destroying property with "no logic," stealing OxyContin from sick elderly people, and getting high during the press tour for Being Charlie—a film about his recovery that his father directed. We look at the 2020 mental health conservatorship, the reported medication change weeks before the killings, and the disturbing scene at Conan O'Brien's Christmas party where guests say Nick was "freaking everyone out" just hours before his parents' deaths. This is the story the headlines won't tell you. Money is not a silly or superfluous thing. Money was designed to be our dignity. It answers to something God put down deep in us: that we all need to have part of the world to care for, and without any part of the world to care for, we have no dignity. But what has happened in most of our lives is instead of being our dignity, money has become our definition. Money is power. It can act destructively or constructively in your life. How can you be sure it's acting constructively? You know the answer: it's in the Bible many places. It's not how much money you have or how little money you have, it all depends on your heart attitude. You have to be freed from money as your definition so that it can become your dignity and you can release its power where it will do the most good. There are three principles that need to be worked down into your heart, and we see them in what Paul says in 2 Corinthians: 1) God owns everything you have, so you have to act like a trustee, 2) Jesus gave everything for you, so you're freed for radical generosity, and 3) you can take it with you if you invest it in eternal things. This sermon was preached by Dr. Timothy Keller at Redeemer Presbyterian Church on January 7, 1990. Series: Ten Commandments 1989. Scripture: 2 Corinthians 8:1-15. Today's podcast is brought to you by Gospel in Life, the site for all sermons, books, study guides and resources from Timothy Keller and Redeemer Presbyterian Church. Two-time Emmy and Three-time NAACP Image Award-winning, television Executive Producer Rushion McDonald interviewed Ashley M. Fox. Summary of the Interview In this episode of Money Making Conversations Masterclass, Rushion McDonald interviews Ashley M. Fox—former Wall Street analyst, Howard University alum, financial educator, and founder/CEO of Amplify, a fintech platform focused on making wealth‑building accessible to everyday people. Ashley shares her journey from working with ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients on Wall Street to becoming an entrepreneur determined to bring financial education and empowerment to communities traditionally excluded from wealth conversations. She discusses the creation of Amplify, her financial fall and recovery, her work in schools and prison systems, and how digital content has allowed her to scale her mission globally. The discussion emphasizes mindset, self‑belief, access, and a practical path to wealth, even starting with as little as $20. Purpose of the Interview The interview aims to: 1. Inspire financial empowerment Ashley explains how anyone—regardless of background or starting point—can begin building wealth and shift generational outcomes. 2. Demystify investing and wealth-building She breaks down how simple investing can be, the power of small consistent contributions, and how wealth isn’t limited to entrepreneurs or high earners. 3. Highlight her fintech platform Amplify She shares how Amplify democratizes financial education through online tools, community, and accessible investing classes. 4. Encourage a mindset shift Ashley stresses the importance of eliminating fear, building confidence, and using logic instead of emotion when making financial decisions. Key Takeaways 1. Wealth Begins with Belief and Mindset Ashley learned on Wall Street that the biggest difference between wealthy and non-wealthy people is not education—it's self-belief. Many people don’t believe wealth is possible for them because they've never seen it. 2. You Don’t Need a Lot of Money to Start Investing She urges people to start with $20, even buying fractional shares. It’s consistency—not starting amount—that builds wealth. 3. You Can Invest in Others’ Ideas—Not Just Your Own Building wealth doesn’t require launching a business. Buying stock is one of the easiest ways to participate in wealth creation. 4. Ashley’s Own Journey Included Failure After leaving Wall Street, she was evicted, slept on her parents’ couch for two years, and maxed out credit cards. Her purpose kept her going. 5. Financial Education Should Start Early She developed financial education programs for schools, prison systems, and everyday families because adults often learn too late. 6. Amplify Scales Wealth Education Her platform offers 300+ hours of videos and tools, helping members open 3,000+ investment accounts and invest $7.4M collectively. 7. Social Media Is Her Biggest Access Point Ashley reaches millions by being authentic, relatable, and consistent—meeting people where they are. 8. You Must Pay Yourself First Most people pay bills, companies, and creditors before investing in themselves. She emphasizes reversing that pattern. 9. Logic Over Emotion Wealth requires logical decision‑making, especially in the market. Emotional reactions undermine long-term financial growth. Notable Quotes (Taken From the Transcript) On Wealth Mindset “When you think and know and believe you have the power to create wealth and you deserve wealth, you move a different way.” “There is no president that can build the wealth that you can create for your family.” On Starting Small “You don't have to have a lot of money to start. You just have to have the will to begin.” “A whole lot of $20 can get you to a million—as long as you don’t stop.” On Investing “Consider the companies you give your money to and own them, because they are a lot cheaper than you think.” “If I’m helping you build a billion‑dollar business by using your products, I deserve a piece of the pie.” On Self-Reliance “You pay everybody… the bartender, the mortgage company—and you’re the one without money. Who’s going to worry about you?” On Purpose and Identity “My story never changed. The mission was always dedicated to the people I didn’t see coming into that building on Wall Street.” “Amplify is the movement. It just has my DNA.” #SHMS #STRAW #BESTSupport the show: https://www.steveharveyfm.com/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM709_MDM_Nov29_25.mp3 When Your Future Depends on You, Waiting Is the Real RiskYour future depends on you—not on time, not on money, and not on circumstances lining up just right. In this episode, I speak directly to the quiet habit that keeps most people stuck: waiting. Waiting to feel ready. Waiting for clarity. Waiting for permission. And while it feels harmless, that delay quietly determines everything that follows. Why Your Future Depends on You Making Decisions NowEntrepreneurs think differently than most people. They don't wait for certainty. They decide first, then allow the path to reveal itself. Time becomes irrelevant. Money becomes secondary. What matters is the internal decision to move, act, and commit—fully. How Responsibility Shapes the Future You ExperienceWhen your future depends on you, excuses lose their power. Let's unpack how emotional maturity, discipline, and daily focus create momentum that compounds over time. The people who win aren't more talented—they're more decisive. This episode is a grounded reminder that clarity comes after commitment, not before it. Your future depends on you choosing today—because five years from now will arrive whether you decide or not. Episode 37 – Gratitude Series: Part I – Personal ResponsibilityEpisode 55 – Decisions, DecisionsEpisode 698 – Become the Person You Need – Close the Back Door You are successful on paper… but why doesn't it feel like freedom? In February, I'm bringing together a group of driven entrepreneurs for a 2-day business intensive where we strip away the fear, resistance, and patterns that quietly cap your growth, and get you clear on your next breakthrough. Together, we'll uncover what's been holding you back, claim the freedom you've been chasing, and walk away with the clarity and courage to lead your business — and your life — on your terms. Ever feel like your supplement cabinet is full but your energy is still empty? We take you behind the label to show exactly why some products change lives and others change nothing. With Emily from Orthomolecular, we unpack the real markers of quality—verified sourcing, GMP manufacturing, third-party testing, and forms your cells can actually use—so you stop guessing and start feeling a difference. We start with the fish oil you love to hate. If your softgels smell rancid, cause burps, or require a handful to hit a therapeutic dose, you're not imagining it. Source, processing, and form separate effective EPA/DHA from junk. Then we tackle magnesium: oxide and citrate may keep you regular, but chelated bisglycinate supports sleep, mood, heart rhythm, and muscle calm because it gets inside cells. We also talk about the digestion piece too many overlook—low stomach acid from stress or long-term PPIs can block absorption, turning even good formulas into expensive decorations. From there, we map the essentials most women need: vitamin D3 with K2 to protect bones and arteries, omega-3s to dial down inflammation, and an advanced multivitamin with activated B vitamins for energy, methylation, and hormone metabolism. On gut health, we share why a multi-strain, shelf-stable probiotic can be a smart daily “maintenance” choice, and how Saccharomyces boulardii acts like a cleanup crew for the GI tract, helping maintain barrier integrity and support immunity. If you're ready to simplify, we explain how to audit your cabinet, check forms and doses, toss expired or ineffective products, and consolidate into a lean, therapeutic stack that works. No hype—just practical steps, clear explanations, and products designed to meet label claims and clinical standards. In this episode of Travis Makes Money, Travis and Eric have a fun, insightful conversation about their personal “Mount Rushmore” of business influencers and how those voices have shaped the way they think about work, money, and success. From early inspirations like Gary Vaynerchuk to deep thinkers like Naval Ravikant, plus polarizing giants like Grant Cardone, they unpack what these leaders get right, what people copy wrong, and which ideas are actually worth modeling in your own life. On this episode we talk about: Why Gary V is still a no-brainer top spot on Travis's business influencer Mount Rushmore How Naval Ravikant blends real-world success with philosopher-level clarity The difference between thinkers (like Adam Grant) and doers (like operators and founders) Why people misunderstand Alex Hormozi and Grant Cardone—and what they actually do well How Travis and Eric each define their own Mount Rushmore of business and productivity mentors Top 3 Takeaways The best influences are a mix of operators and thinkers—people who've actually built businesses and can clearly explain how they did it. Copying someone's routines, style, or “persona” rarely works; the real leverage comes from adopting their principles, not their aesthetics. You should build your own Mount Rushmore based on what truly shifts your behavior and mindset, not on who is the most popular or least controversial. Notable Quotes “You're looking in the 20% of their productivity for your 80%, and that's not where the real results come from.” “You can order Chipotle all you want, but it's not going to make you Alex Hormozi.” “Money only solves your money problems, but it's easier to solve the rest when you've got money in the bank.” Connect with Travis Chappell: LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/travischappell Twitter/X: https://twitter.com/traviscchappell Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/travischappell Other (Website): https://travischappell.com Learn more about your ad choices. Ivan Bebek, Founder, Director, Chair, and CEO of Coppernico Metals, joins host Michael McCrae on Mining Stock Daily from the Vancouver Resource Investment Conference to unpack what he calls a “new paradigm” for metals markets. With gold pushing record highs and copper trading near historic levels, Bebek argues the sector is still in the early innings of a powerful, multi-year bull market—particularly for copper.Bebek explains why surging demand from electrification, AI data centers, infrastructure modernization, and electric vehicles is colliding with a tight global copper supply. New discoveries are scarce, existing mines are aging and declining in grade, and building new copper mines now takes decades due to massive capital requirements, social and permitting challenges, and logistical bottlenecks. Money alone, he says, can't solve the problem—time is the real constraint. The conversation also explores why M&A is poised to accelerate as major miners, flush with cash and higher share prices, look to replace depleting reserves. Bebek discusses Coppernico's strategy of chasing higher-grade copper targets and why major miners like Newmont and Teck are already shareholders.Touching on lessons from past bull markets, cost inflation risks, and the importance of grade, Bebek makes a compelling case that copper prices have much further to run—and that discoveries, not capital, will ultimately define the winners in this cycle.
The Bible has much to say about money—the “how” and the “what” but, what about the “why?” Why are there such radical teachings in the Scriptures when it comes to money and generosity for followers of Jesus?

In this episode we answer emails from Isaiah and Mike. We unpack how metrics hijack meaning and show how a diversified, risk-parity approach lets you thrive without chasing perfect scores, review our business model and help Mike tweak his portfolio selections. And THEN we our go through our weekly portfolio reviews of the eight sample portfolios you can find at Portfolios | Risk Parity Radio.Links:Father McKenna Center Donation Page: Donate - Father McKenna Center"The Score" Video Summary: The Score Summary Video.mp4 - Google Drive"The Score" Slideshow: The Score Summary Slideshow.pdf - Google DriveHow To Do An Asset Swap Video from Risk Parity Chronicles: How to Do an Asset SwapBreathless AI-Bot Summary: Numbers promise clarity. But when scores start steering our choices, we trade meaning for metrics—and investing gets harder, not easier. We take you inside a listener-recommended book on gamification and value capture, then connect its insights to practical retirement planning, rebalancing discipline, and the craft of building portfolios that can handle ambiguity.First, we break down a simple framework to resist metric addiction: practice metric mindfulness, guard “opaque” spaces where you don't track every moment, and treat numbers as disposable tools. That shift matters for health, career, and especially money. Chasing precision in complex markets leads to false confidence and needless anxiety; aiming for ballparks and using satisficing rules keeps you steady. From there, we dive into performance and positioning. While large growth stalls, small cap value, gold, commodities, and managed futures are pulling their weight. We share how diversified, risk-parity style allocations harness those uncorrelated trends without prediction—and why selling strength into rebalancing is the quiet edge that compounds over time. You'll also hear clear, practical guidance on tax location and cash: put growth in Roth accounts, anchor bonds in tax-deferred space, keep cash lean if you have flexible liquidity, and rebalance across accounts at the household level.Underneath the tickers is a broader life stance. Money, power, and fame are easy to count and easy to chase. Relationships, time autonomy, and meaningful work resist scoring yet deliver the lasting returns. Let numbers serve your purpose, not replace it. If you're ready to think beyond dashboards and build a portfolio—and a life—built for uncertainty, you'll feel right at home.Enjoy the conversation? In this insightful episode, Favour Obasi-ike, MBA, MS breaks down the critical differences and essential overlaps between traditional Google SEO and the emerging field of ChatGPT SEO (optimization for AI search). The core distinction is framed as Websites vs. Conversation. While Google prioritizes structured, keyword-optimized websites, AI models like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini focus on providing direct, conversational answers.Favour Obasi-ike argues that the future of content visibility lies in establishing your website as the central anchor for all content distribution. By consistently linking your website across all platforms (YouTube, LinkedIn, podcasts, etc.), you build the domain authority and citation structure necessary for AI models to trust and cite your content. He emphasizes that AI-driven search is shifting the user experience from "clicking" on a link to "trusting" a direct answer, making the source's authority more critical than ever. The podcast episode concludes with actionable advice on technical SEO, including optimizing for page speed, Core Web Vitals, and formatting content with listicles and tables to be easily digestible by AI.Need to Book An SEO Discovery Call for Advertising or Marketing Services?>> Book a Complimentary SEO Discovery Call with Favour Obasi-Ike>> Visit Work and PLAY Entertainment website to learn about our digital marketing services>> Join our exclusive SEO Marketing community>> Read SEO Articles>> Subscribe to the We Don't PLAY Podcast>> Purchase Flaev Beatz Beats OnlineKey Episode TakeawaysThe Fundamental Difference: Websites vs. ConversationThe core difference is in the format each search system prioritizes. Google SEO is built around ranking individual websites on search result pages (SERPs) for structured keywords. The user's journey involves clicking through to a website.ChatGPT SEO, on the other hand, is built for a conversational AI interface. The goal is to provide the perfect, direct, and trusted answer within the chat window itself, minimizing the need for a click. The New SEO Ecosystem: LLM VisibilityTo achieve LLM Visibility (Large Language Model Visibility), you must understand that search is now split between two major ecosystems. The Google/OpenAI ecosystem includes Google search, ChatGPT (using the Atlas Browser), and the associated platform, YouTube. The Microsoft/Perplexity ecosystem includes the Perplexity AI platform (using the Comet Browser) and the associated Microsoft-owned platform, LinkedIn.Actionable Steps for 2026 SEO StrategyEstablish Your Anchor: Your website must be the central hub for all your content.Distribute Your Authority: Place your website link on every third-party platform (social media, podcast directories, video descriptions).Optimize for Speed: Prioritize Core Web Vitals and page speed for both mobile and desktop to ensure a positive user experience, which Google rewards.Format for AI: Structure your content using tables, listicles, and concise, keyword-rich formatsto make it easy for AI models to extract and cite direct answers.Build Trust, Not Just Clicks: Focus on building long-term trust and authority with search engines through consistent, high-quality, and structured content.Episode Timestamps[00:00] Introduction: Google SEO vs. ChatGPT SEO, Optimization Showdown.[00:30] Defining the core difference: Google focuses on websites, ChatGPT focuses on conversation.[01:33] The connection: ChatGPT Atlas (browser) citing YouTube (owned by Google).[03:52] The goal: Use your website as an anchor for content distribution.[04:02] Understanding LLM Visibility (Large Language Model Visibility).[04:28] The emerging AI browser landscape: ChatGPT Atlas, Perplexity Comet, and the upcoming Google Disco.[05:30] The two major ecosystems: Google/YouTube/ChatGPT vs. Microsoft/LinkedIn/Perplexity.[06:15] The importance of checking your business's citations with "Google Learn About."[06:56] AI's focus on directness and specificity in answers (Siri, Alexa, etc.).[08:00] The shift from "click" to "trust" in AI-driven search results.[09:00] Why a strong website domain authority is crucial for AI citation.[10:00] The concept of "AI-friendly" content and the need for listicles and tables.[11:00] The future of search: AI-driven answers vs. traditional links.[12:00] The importance of structured data and schema for AI.[13:00] The difference between a website and a social media profile.[14:00] The need for a content mix (audio, video, text, image).[15:00] The role of a website in the new SEO ecosystem.[16:00] The power of a website's domain authority.[17:00] The shift from "click" to "trust" in AI-driven search.[18:00] The importance of technical SEO: Page Speed and Core Web Vitals.[19:00] How to build content that is easy to read and digest.[20:00] The value of brand citations and authority.[21:00] The long-term benefit of placing your website everywhere.[22:00] Final call to action: Check if your content is in table and listicle formats.[23:00] The power of tactics, strategy, and timing in SEO.[24:00] Conclusion: Build structure and trust with search engines, as they are "talking to each other."See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
In this comprehensive session, Favour Obasi-ike, MBA, MS explores the strategic nuances of email marketing. The discussion transcends basic sales tactics, positioning email as a foundational pillar for business documentation, professional credibility, and high-impact communication. Favour emphasizes that while social media platforms often dominate the marketing conversation, email remains a superior channel for conversion and long-term relationship building. The session provides a detailed roadmap for entrepreneurs and developers alike, covering technical infrastructure, audience psychology, and the necessity of intentional engagement.Strategic Insights and Market ComparisonsThe conversation highlights a stark contrast between the ephemeral nature of social media and the enduring impact of email marketing. Favour notes that social media conversion rates typically languish below 1%, whereas search engine optimization (SEO) and email marketing can achieve conversion rates ranging from 16% to over 33%. This discrepancy is attributed to the "currency" of email: the exclusive time and attention granted by the recipient. Unlike social media posts that are quickly buried by algorithms, an email retains its conversion potential long after it is sent, provided it reaches the recipient's inbox through proper technical execution.Need to Book An SEO Discovery Call for Advertising or Marketing Services?>> Book a Complimentary SEO Discovery Call with Favour Obasi-Ike>> Visit Work and PLAY Entertainment website to learn about our digital marketing services>> Join our exclusive SEO Marketing community>> Read SEO Articles>> Subscribe to the We Don't PLAY Podcast>> Purchase Flaev Beatz Beats Online| Marketing Channel | Average Conversion Rate | Primary Advantage || Social Media | < 1% | High initial visibility and brand awareness. || Email Marketing | 16% - 33%+ | Direct connection, longevity, and high intent. || SEO | 16% - 33%+ | Sustainable organic traffic and credibility. |Technical Infrastructure and DeliverabilityA significant portion of the session is dedicated to the technical "hygiene" required to maintain high deliverability. Favour introduces Google Postmaster as an essential tool for monitoring domain health and ensuring that communications are not flagged as spam. The technical setup involves a rigorous configuration of DNS records, including MX, SPF, and DKIM, which serve as the digital credentials for a legitimate sender. Furthermore, the discussion touches upon the physical properties of an email, such as file size and font optimization, which can inadvertently trigger spam filters if not managed correctly.| Technical Component | Purpose | Best Practice || Google Postmaster| Domain Health Monitoring | Regularly check [postmaster.google.com](https://postmaster.google.com). || MX, SPF, DKIM | Authentication & Compliance | Ensure all DNS records are correctly configured. || List Hygiene | Deliverability Maintenance | Clean the list after every campaign to remove bounces. || Email Size| Spam Prevention | Use standard fonts (16px-20px) to keep file sizes low. || Segmentation| Engagement Tracking | Group audiences by behavior or interest for targeted messaging. |Content Strategy and Audience EngagementFavour and his guests, including the developer Ifeanyi, discuss the shift toward more sophisticated, developer-friendly tools like Resend, which allow for scalable, code-driven email templates. The consensus is that modern audiences do not "read" in the traditional sense; instead, they "skim" for value. Consequently, the use of listicles, bullet points, and concise subject lines is paramount.A professional subject line should ideally be limited to three or four words to avoid appearing "junior," while the preview text should be leveraged to provide the necessary context that encourages a click. The session concludes with a call for intentionality in marketing. Favour suggests a "Want vs. Need" framework: use the subject line to address what the audience *wants* (immediate value or curiosity), and use the body of the email to deliver what they *need* (tutorials, case studies, or interactive elements like polls). This approach ensures that the communication is not just seen, but acted upon.Podcast Episode Timestamps[00:00] – Introduction to the role of email in documentation and professional communication.[01:03] – Favour Obasi-ike's background in intellectual property and search engine marketing.[02:35] – Comparative analysis of conversion rates across social media, SEO, and email.[04:50] – Technical requirements for deliverability: Google Postmaster and MX record configuration.[06:16] – Reflections on the "We Don't PLAY™️" podcast and Favour's six-year tenure on Clubhouse.[22:37] – The impact of font selection and email file size on technical deliverability.[23:53] – Strategies for audience segmentation and the importance of reviewing engagement analytics.[24:26] – Managing hard and soft bounces through consistent list hygiene.[28:44] – Guest contribution from Ifeanyi on using "Resend" and React for scalable email infrastructure.[45:20] – Timing strategies: Measuring audience activity windows for optimal email delivery.[46:25] – The psychology of subject lines: Why brevity (3-4 words) signals professional maturity.[47:43] – The "Want vs. Need" framework for content delivery and engagement.[49:36] – Utilizing polls for market research: A case study on Google vs. Perplexity preferences.[52:02] – The efficacy of listicles and skimming-friendly formats in modern digital communication.About Favour Obasi-ikeFavour Obasi-ike is a prominent business consultant and entrepreneur specializing in helping creators and business owners secure their intellectual property through search engine marketing, Pinterest, and podcasting.
