Can Traditionalism, Annihilationism, and Universalism all be right in some sense? In this episode, Josh Klein and Dr. Tim Stratton sit down with Chad McIntosh to discuss his provocative proposal concerning the nature of hell, the fate of the damned, and what it means to bear (and potentially lose) the image of God. Chad argues for a unique view in which the damned ultimately cease to be human, conscious suffering is not necessarily everlasting, and those who remain are preserved as eternal "monuments" to God's justice and the significance of salvation history. Along the way, we discuss the imago Dei, personal identity, the Second Death, annihilationism, universalism, eternal conscious punishment, libertarian freedom, and whether a person could continue to exist after ceasing to be human. Whether you agree with Chad's proposal or not, this is a fascinating attempt to reason carefully through some of the most difficult questions surrounding the doctrine of hell. ➡️ LEARN MORE ABOUT CHAD ⬅️ https://www.camcintosh.com/about/ ➡️ CONNECT WITH FTM ⬅️ https://www.freethinkingministries.com/contact ➡️ SUPPORT FTM ⬅️ Help us continue producing conversations, articles, and resources designed to help people reason together: https://www.freethinkingministries.com/donate ➡️ CHAPTERS ⬅️ 00:00 Introducing Chad McIntosh & a New View of Hell 05:08 The Traditionalist Defense: Can All Three Views Be Right? 14:09 Can the Damned Cease to Be Human? 16:58 The Spectrum View of the Imago Dei 20:57 Does This View Make Some People Less Valuable? 34:40 C.S. EVEN MORE about this episode! What happens when you suddenly begin seeing angels—and realize they may have been there all along? Julie Ryan talks with Rebecca Kastl about the extraordinary night a simple journal entry to God triggered a spiritual awakening she never expected—and changed the way she experienced reality.Within days, Rebecca began seeing luminous light around complete strangers, receiving unmistakable guidance from angels, and having dreams that later came true. But what began as wonder eventually led to years of questioning: Was it really Spirit, or was she imagining it all? Then came a frightening carbon monoxide incident—and an experience Rebecca believes was nothing short of angelic intervention.Rebecca and Julie explore Archangel Michael, guardian angels, prophetic dreams, angel numbers, feathers, pennies, “God bumps,” and the subtle ways Spirit may be communicating with us every day. They also discuss why spiritual awakenings can arrive when we least expect them, how to distinguish intuition from imagination, and what happens when we finally stop dismissing the signs.Guest Biography:Rebecca Kastl is a pediatric speech language pathologist, healer, speaker, and teacher who underwent a life-changing Spiritually Transformative Experience (STE) in her twenties while working on healing from childhood trauma. Her STE started when she spontaneously devoted her life to God while writing in her journal. That night she saw a beautiful light that spoke to her, after which she began seeing light inside everyone, having psychic dreams, viewing alternate timelines of her life, feeling how connected we all are, and sensing and communicating with angels. Rebecca is a former total skeptic with Christian, Jewish, and indigenous influences in her family that helped shape her understanding of her experiences. She now speaks about her experiences on podcasts and at conferences and offers her Sacred Soul sessions to clients around the globe. If the angels existed in the presence of God and beheld His divine glory, how could Satan—or any angel—possibly choose to turn away from Him?We explore what the Eastern Church Fathers teach about the nature of angels, their free will, the angelic hierarchy, and the fall of Satan. Nathan examines five factors that help explain how beings created in communion with God could nevertheless rebel against Him, including pride, envy, intellectual passions, and the possibility of God's pedagogical withdrawal.Along the way, Nathan discusses the nine orders of angels, competing patristic explanations for Satan's rebellion, why some Fathers connect his fall to the creation of humanity, and what angelic freedom can teach us about our own relationship with God.======================================Timestamps00:00 How Could an Angel Fall?00:47 What Is an Angel?02:09 Angels as Created Beings03:21 Free Will and Self-Determination04:23 Angels as Ministering Spirits05:10 How Angels Mediate God's Energies07:18 How Creatures Participate in God08:39 The Hierarchy of Angels09:06 The Nine Orders of Angels10:23 What Does the Fall of Angels Mean?13:13 How Could Angels Reject God?15:50 Five Factors Behind the Fall16:38 Not All Angels Experience God Equally17:32 The Intellectual Passions18:33 Pride, Envy, and Satan's Rebellion19:38 Did Satan Fall Because of Humanity?21:15 How Satan Led Other Angels into Rebellion22:39 Divine Hiddenness and Free Will24:56 Do Angels Leave God's Presence?25:17 Why God May Withdraw His Presence26:58 How the Angels May Have Been Tested27:26 Final Thoughts======================================Do you like this content? JT Follows JC joins Nephilim Death Squad for a wide-ranging conversation connecting UFO disclosure, alien encounters, the Nephilim, the Book of Enoch, MKUltra, Project Monarch, Tartaria, old world architecture, artificial intelligence, and Biblical prophecy through a Christian worldview.David Lee Corbo, Matthew Heppner, and JT Follows JC (Joe Telford) begin by discussing JT's journey from working in construction to creating content full-time. That background leads directly into questions surrounding Tartaria, Greco-Roman architecture, Gothic cathedrals, cymatics, frequency, resonance, hidden technology, mysterious stonework, and seemingly impossible construction timelines. Could previous civilizations have understood sound, vibration, energy, and architecture differently than we do today? The conversation then turns toward UFO disclosure and the modern alien narrative. The guys analyze Spielberg's Disclosure Day, alien abduction experiences, astral simulation theories, Skinwalker mythology, MKUltra, Project Monarch, trauma-based dissociation, and occult symbolism appearing throughout movies and television. From Zoolander and Gravity Falls to Stranger Things, they ask whether entertainment is simply fiction—or conditioning audiences to interpret spiritual phenomena through a different framework.Could AI eventually replace the alien invasion narrative? Why are discussions about demons, the Nephilim, and the Book of Enoch becoming increasingly mainstream? The episode explores Tucker Carlson, modern disclosure conversations, the Anunnaki narrative, the Watchers, Greek mythology, The Odyssey, and possible Biblical parallels involving fallen spiritual beings. The final section goes deep into Scripture and theology: Pharaoh's hardened heart, free will, predestination, manufactured prophecy, Israel, replacement theology versus fulfillment, Rahab, Ruth, Passover, the mixed multitude, hyssop, Jesus Christ, the Book of Life, and once saved always saved. Finally, the guys return to the central question: Are alien and UAP encounters actually demonic or spiritual phenomena masquerading as something physical? What do you think—physical extraterrestrials, demonic deception, psychological manipulation, or something even more complicated? Before the foundations of the world, God had a plan -- and that plan was you. This week, Pastor Jordan West walked us through Ephesians 1:3-14 and the profound truth that salvation was planned by the Father, accomplished by the Son, proclaimed by us, and secured by the Holy Spirit. You cannot earn it. You cannot lose it. And you did nothing to deserve it -- which means the glory belongs entirely to God. Whether you are wrestling with questions about God's sovereignty, your own free will, or simply wondering if you are truly saved, this message is for you. Salvation is not about your works. It is about Christ's.
New Realities with Alan Steinfeld Disclosure, Religion, and the Simulated Multiverse Alan Steinfeld hosts New Realities with Dr. J.J. Hurtak, Dr. Desiree Hurtak, and Rizwan Virk for a two-part conversation on extraterrestrial disclosure, religion, divine intelligence, interdimensional realities, consciousness, simulation theory, the simulated multiverse, AI, free will, soul memory, and humanity's awakening into a larger cosmic identity. Guest Spotlight: Dr. J.J. Hurtak, Dr. Desiree Hurtak, and Rizwan Virk This episode of New Realities, broadcast on August 8, 2026, features host Alan Steinfeld with guests Dr. J.J. Hurtak, Dr. Desiree Hurtak, and Rizwan Virk. Dr. J.J. Hurtak is a theologian, linguist, researcher, and co-author connected with The Keys of Enoch; Dr. Desiree Hurtak, a spiritual researcher and co-presenter; and Rizwan Virk is the author of The Simulation Hypothesis and The Simulated Multiverse. Disclosure, Religion, and the Question of Other Beings Alan opens the program by asking how religious communities should respond to extraterrestrial disclosure and the possibility of other intelligences. He notes that some religious leaders may interpret extraterrestrial beings through familiar categories such as demons, while he argues that the phenomenon may require a wider lens. Dr. J.J. Hurtak responds from his background in theology, linguistics, ancient documents, and comparative religion, while Dr. Desiree Hurtak emphasizes that extraterrestrials may include positive, negative, and neutral beings, much like humanity itself. The opening establishes the episode's central question: how can religion expand without collapsing into fear? Angels, Demons, ETs, and the Expanded Religious Framework The Hurtaks suggest that extraterrestrials should not automatically be confused with God, angels, or demons, but understood as part of a larger field of intelligences. Dr. Desiree says many ETs may exist on levels closer to humanity, while divine, angelic, or demonic realities may be beyond that range. Alan repeatedly argues that people are trying to put an unknown phenomenon into old boxes, while the Hurtaks present a broader cosmology of multiple heavens, divine realities, lower levels, higher light beings, ultra-terrestrials, and various forms of consciousness. Together, they frame disclosure not as the destruction of faith, but as an invitation to expand humanity's idea of creation. Jesus, Light Bodies, Merkabah, and the House of Many Mansions The discussion then turns to whether figures such as Jesus should be understood in extraterrestrial terms. Dr. Desiree rejects the idea of Jesus “riding a flying saucer,” but describes Christ as coming from a higher light reality, entering this world, and returning to a light body. The Hurtaks connect this to their work with the Shroud of Turin, the concept of light-body transformation, Merkabah vehicles, Ezekiel's vision, and the New Testament phrase “house of many mansions.” Their view is that some beings may use craft, while others may operate through vehicles of light, dimensional realities, or higher levels of divine intelligence. Consciousness, Genetics, Cosmic Family, and the Purpose of Contact Alan and the Hurtaks then explore consciousness as the core of the ET question. Dr. J.J. says consciousness is the capacity to deal with all levels of universal intelligence, while Dr. Desiree suggests some beings may need something from humanity, including soul capacity or genetic capacity. The conversation touches on cattle mutilation, cloning, Area 51 references, Dan Burisch, divine-source God code, DNA, panspermia, the Pleiades, Sirius, and humanity's possible cosmic family. Alan frames the larger purpose of contact as awakening humanity to one human family and preparing us to meet other intelligences peacefully rather than through fear or worship. Humanity's Graduation and the Call to Wake Up As the first part concludes, the Hurtaks and Alan emphasize that extraterrestrial disclosure may push humanity into a new anthropology, cosmology, and spiritual maturity. They discuss interdimensionality, remote viewing, dreams, the Book of Enoch, multiple heavens, and humanity's capacity to activate a higher identity. The speakers suggest that extraterrestrials may appear now because of nuclear danger, environmental crisis, or a long-hidden disclosure process, but they stress that the deepest response must be spiritual: humility, discernment, heart awareness, cosmic citizenship, and the recognition that divinity lives within. Alan closes the first section by describing humanity as standing at a threshold of renaissance, expanded belief, and new realities. Rizwan Virk and the Simulation Hypothesis The second part brings in Rizwan Virk for a cross-cultural conversation about simulation theory, ancient spiritual traditions, and the simulated multiverse. Rizwan explains that his thinking began with a virtual-reality ping-pong experience that briefly convinced his body the game was real, leading him to ask how long it would take to build a digital world so convincing that people would forget there was a part of themselves outside it. He compares physical reality to a massively multiplayer video game in which the player exists outside the game and the character inside the game is an avatar. This allows him to connect modern simulation theory with ancient ideas such as Maya, Plato's cave, Buddha's dream, Shakespeare's stage, and Yogananda's film-projector metaphor. Multiverse, AI, Free Will, Forgetfulness, and the Game of Life Rizwan explains five assertions of simulation theory: that the world consists of information, that information is computed over time, that it is rendered for us, that reality may function like a kind of hoax, and that we agreed to participate in it. The discussion expands into the simulated multiverse, quantum branching, Philip K. Dick, the Mandela Effect, retrocausality, delayed-choice experiments, alternate selves, AI, prompt theory, Google Genie, and the possibility that humanity is birthing a new form of life through artificial intelligence. The group also discusses forgetfulness across spiritual traditions, ensoulment, the soul entering the avatar, remembering after death, and the possibility of remembering while still alive. Soul, Service, and the Gift of Life The closing section brings the simulation conversation back to spiritual purpose. The speakers discuss life review, the Book of Life, the scroll of deeds, Archangel Michael, free will, reincarnation or biogenesis, avatars, higher selves, overself awakening, and the idea that life's challenges may function like quests. Rizwan says the point of the “game” is how we treat other people, while Dr. J.J. cautions that life is not merely a game but a gift filled with creativity, joy, compassion, and higher understanding. Alan concludes that realizing we are in a beautiful simulation can help people enjoy life more, serve others and themselves, learn from experience, and recognize both the game and the gift of being alive.
The Metaphysical Hour with Julia Cannon and Tracie Mahan and Question Master Tiffanny Lion's Gate, Soul Timelines, and the Everyday Mirrors of Metaphysical Life Julia Cannon, Tracie Mahan, and Tiffany explore Lion's Gate energy, conscious manifesting, personal power, generational healing, parallel timelines, soul aspects, animal mirrors, QHHT, Soul Speak, and the everyday signs that reveal how deeply metaphysical life is woven into ordinary experience. The Metaphysical Hour Opens With Energy, Humor, and Global Connection This episode of The Metaphysical Hour, broadcast on August 7, 2026, opens with Julia Cannon, Tracie Mahan, and Tiffany welcoming viewers into a lively, playful, spiritually focused conversation. The hosts invite viewers to share where they are watching from, creating a sense of a global energetic grid lighting up around the world. Lion's Gate and the Power of Collective Focus The first major topic is the Lion's Gate portal, which Tracie describes as a major energetic gateway connected with manifesting, creating, and the 8/8 portal. She notes that she has posted a Lion's Gate journey on her website, Facebook, and YouTube for anyone who wants to use it. Julia and Tracie discuss the idea that while there may be astrological or energetic factors involved, much of the power comes from collective human focus. They emphasize that people are always creating through their thoughts, and the Lion's Gate simply offers a concentrated opportunity to focus on what is desired rather than on old patterns, worries, or “woe is me” energy. Viewers Around the World and a Portal-Like Sun Image Tiffany reads off viewer locations including Florida, Seattle, Arkansas, Australia, Quebec, Tasmania, San Antonio, Tucson, San Francisco, Wisconsin, Nova Scotia, Kansas, Sweden, Arizona, North Dakota, Indiana, Michigan, Iceland, Scotland, Ohio, and more. The hosts respond by describing the audience as lights shining around the world, spreading outward in an expanded field. Tracie then shares a story about taking a selfie near a pond and later noticing that the sun in the photo looked like a portal with rainbow energy coming out of it. The image becomes an example of the episode's recurring theme: extraordinary signs may be happening around people even when their attention is elsewhere. Generational Healing, Personal Responsibility, and the Ripple Effect An audience question about a QHHT session leads Julia and Tracie into a deep discussion of generational and ancestral healing. The viewer explains that a practitioner asked the higher self to heal everything across all generations, but the higher self responded that each generation is responsible for its own healing. Julia emphasizes that the primary responsibility is to heal oneself, not to take on everyone else's lessons. Tracie adds that healing can occur across all time, space, dimensions, realities, timelines, and versions of a person, but both hosts stress discernment, free will, belief systems, and the idea that personal healing naturally ripples outward when appropriate. Free Will, Mirrors, and Stopping Patterns From Moving Forward Julia and Tracie further explain that people cannot take away the lessons another soul has chosen, whether that soul is living, ancestral, or in another dimension. They compare this to relationships and manifestation: one cannot force healing or outcomes for another person if that person is not ready. Tracie discusses the idea of volunteers or souls entering certain family lineages to stop patterns, such as abuse, from continuing forward. In that sense, the work is not about fixing everyone in the past, but about choosing differently now, becoming a healed example, and no longer passing a pattern forward through one's own life. Parallel Timelines, Soul Aspects, and the Infinite Self Another audience question asks whether, when someone dies in one timeline, they also die in other timelines. Julia answers no, explaining that other aspects of the soul may continue on their own trajectories, join another version, or return to the oversoul. Tracie shares a personal story about unexplained pain on her right side that she connected during a session to another aspect of herself, a teenage girl in a car accident who died in another timeline. Once the connection was seen and cleared, Tracie says the physical symptoms and a fear response connected to left turns disappeared. The hosts use this to discuss parallel lives, threads of the universe, soul tapestries, and the vastness of the oversoul. Awakening Abilities and the Gradual Opening of the Doors Julia reflects on spiritual abilities by recalling an image she received years earlier of two French doors barely cracked open, with only a small line of light coming through. At that time, she says, the opening represented the beginning of abilities coming in. Now, she feels the doors have opened more, though still gradually, because a sudden full opening would be overwhelming. The hosts discuss how people often want all their abilities at once, but spiritual expansion unfolds at a pace the soul has chosen. They remind listeners that people are not their experiences or emotions; they are souls having experiences. Everyday Metaphysics: Lawns, Deep Cleaning, and Animal Mirrors The episode becomes especially practical when Tracie describes watering a patchy lawn while preparing to move. She realizes the lawn may be mirroring something within her: green and lush around the edges but empty or ungrown in the middle. As she reflects, she connects the yard work to deep cleaning, purging, and examining hidden areas of her life. Julia explains that this is metaphysics in everyday life, not something separate or lofty. A later question about an aggressive cat leads the hosts to suggest that pets often mirror the energy of the person closest to them, especially unexpressed anger, frustration, agitation, or inner tension. QHHT, Soul Speak, Retreats, and Closing Love Near the end, Julia and Tracie direct listeners to several resources. Julia mentions QHHTOfficial.com for sessions, practitioner training, and an upcoming retreat in Santa Fe, New Mexico, as well as SoulSpeakOfficial.com for understanding the language of the body and related metaphysical patterns. Tracie directs listeners to her website for the Lion's Gate journey and other information. Tiffany closes with the simple parting message, “Love one another,” and the hosts echo that message with affection, gratitude, and goodnight wishes to the audience.

If God knows the future, why would He create someone who will ultimately reject Him?This is one of the deepest questions in Christian theology, and one that was asked by a 15-year-old Orthodox Christian. In this episode, Nathan Jacobs reads one of his favorite theological letters, exploring how the Eastern Church Fathers—especially St. John of Damascus—approach God's foreknowledge, human freedom, divine goodness, and the mystery of damnation.Rather than offering a simplistic answer, this discussion challenges many common assumptions about God's knowledge of the future and reveals a profoundly hopeful vision of God's unwavering love for every person He creates.======================================Timestamps00:00 Introduction01:48 A Letter to Agatha02:39 The Common Assumption About Damnation04:20 The Eastern Church Fathers' Answer05:10 Why We Exist07:03 God's Knowledge and Creation08:51 Why God Doesn't "Choose the Saved"09:27 Why Not Simply Avoid Creating the Damned?11:04 God Always Chooses the Good12:08 Outcomes vs. Goodness14:44 King Saul and Divine Justice16:26 The "Future Hitler" Thought Experiment18:11 Free Will and God's Omnipotence19:27 Can God Make a Square Circle?21:55 Abraham and Isaac24:20 Damnation Is the Creature's Choice25:20 Christ's Victory Over Hades27:18 A Prison Without Bars29:01 Hope for Universal Salvation?30:30 St. Sophrony's Final Reflection======================================Do you like this content? What if Judaism has been misunderstood all along, and the real reward for doing good isn't what you get, but who you become? Is Judaism really about reward and punishment—or is it about becoming? Parshat Re'eh begins with a tiny grammatical anomaly. Instead of saying, "if you obey," the Torah says "that you obey." Could one unexpected Hebrew word change the way we understand blessing, virtue, and even human nature? In this episode of Madlik, Geoffrey Stern and Rabbi Adam Mintz follow that question from the Bible through the Rabbis, Maimonides, the Sefer HaChinuch, Aristotle, and contemporary philosophy. Along the way they uncover a radical Jewish insight: the reward of a mitzvah isn't a prize—it's the person we become. Can a single act of kindness change your character? Is blessing something we receive, or something we cultivate? And what if the Torah's deepest teaching isn't about earning rewards, but about forming a life of virtue? Join us as we explore why "the reward of a mitzvah is a mitzvah" may be one of Judaism's most profound—and surprisingly modern—ideas. Key Takeaways The Torah's smallest words often contain its biggest ideas. Parshat Re'eh doesn't say, "if you obey" (אִם) but "that you obey" (אֲשֶׁר). That subtle shift invites us to read blessing not merely as a future reward but as something woven into the very act of living a good life. Judaism is less about reward than about transformation. From Ben Azzai's teaching that "the reward of a mitzvah is a mitzvah," to the Sefer HaChinuch's insight that "a person is shaped by his actions," Judaism teaches that our deeds don't just determine what happens to us—they determine who we become. Character is created through practice. Long before modern psychology and virtue ethics, the Torah and the rabbis understood that goodness is cultivated. Every good deed forms a disposition toward another good deed. We don't become good and then do good; we become good by repeatedly doing good. What happens to the mind and spirit in the moments between waking and sleep? In this episode of Fridays Are for the Lord, Ed Mabrie of Faith By Reason joins the Nephilim Death Squad crew for a wide-ranging discussion about spiritual warfare, sleep paralysis, nighttime anxiety, brainwave frequencies, prayer, generational blessings, and forgiveness.Ed explains why he believes spiritual attacks often intensify when people are falling asleep, waking up, or experiencing the vulnerable mental state associated with dreams. The conversation explores the conscious and unconscious mind, alpha, beta, theta, and delta states, the “veil” between the physical and spiritual realms, 3 A.M. awakenings, night terrors, and whether tools commonly associated with binaural beats or New Age spirituality can be redirected toward biblical meditation, Scripture, and spiritual preparedness. The discussion then turns to morning routines, social media overload, intrusive thoughts, fear, and anxiety. The hosts examine how Christians can distinguish ordinary stress from a spiritual attack, take every thought captive in Christ, pray repeatedly without falling into vain repetition, and approach God honestly as a Father. They reference the Psalms of David, the Sermon on the Mount, the Pharisees, biblical fasting, authentic prayer, and the danger of performative religion.Later, Ed and the crew debate whether prayer has a transactional or judicial dimension. They discuss Genesis, God's rest, David and Solomon, Jesus praying for future believers, salvation by grace through faith, heavenly rewards, obedience, praying “in Jesus' name,” and the difference between salvation and reward. The episode also examines generational blessings through Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Esau, and the twelve tribes of Israel, along with spiritual inheritance, generational curses, and leaving children more than material wealth. The conversation closes with forgiveness and gratitude as offensive spiritual warfare. Forgiveness is presented not as approving evil, but as refusing personal vengeance and turning judgment over to God.What do you believe happens spiritually during sleep? Can biblical prayer, gratitude, and forgiveness change the way Christians confront spiritual attacks? Send us Fan MailDoes God's will always happen—or can fear, hesitation, and disobedience cause us to miss what He intended? After returning from a transformative 6,650-mile ministry trip across the country, Karl and Susie Gessler sit down to discuss the divine appointments they experienced, the opportunities they almost missed, and the lessons they learned about partnering with God.Many Christians assume that everything that happens must be God's sovereign will. But Scripture reveals that God has given human beings genuine authority and responsibility. Our prayers, choices, courage, and obedience truly matter. In this episode, Karl and Susie explore: Whether God's will happens automatically How fear can prevent us from stepping through an open door The difference between God's timing and a missed opportunity Why divine sovereignty does not eliminate human responsibility How prayer and obedience help bring God's purposes into the world What to do when you believe you may have missed God How to recognize and respond to divine appointments This is more than a theological discussion. Free Will by Sam Harris. An audiobook summary and review by StoryShots. Does philosophy prove free will is an illusion? This audiobook summary reveals why your choices might not be your own.
Would you like to better understand your patterns and feel more empowered? Do you sometimes have a challenging time finding the positive in certain situations? Lisa continues the conversation today with researcher and best-selling author Ravinder Taylor. She has helped literally thousands of people change their state of mind and therefore empower their lives. Her latest book is "Mind Training: The Science of Self-Empowerment." Ravinder talks about the importance of choice. If bad things happen, it is not your fault. She asks us to ask, "What do you gain when you have a problem?" What is the difference between being informed and being prepared? How can you be aware of a problem or upcoming situation, yet not attract it? Ravinder has studied optimism and pessimism. Some people believe that doom-scrolling is about helping them feel more prepared. People have the "hope" that if they have information, they can be prepared so the worst-case won't happen. If someone looks for the negative, they will not have an enjoyable time and will feel stressed. Ravinder talks about statistics which show how much healthier people can be if they are more optimistic. What you expect, you observe. Your body will either fight or grow. Cortisol makes us feel stressed and can affect our hearts. She discusses actual techniques to increase optimism. We can be aware that some things will not work out, but if we are optimistic, we can grow and have a happier quality of life. Her "Mind Training" book talks all about the benefits of optimism and positive thinking. We can learn when things go wrong, and that means you have grown as a person. If your self-talk is positive, you cannot be depressed. Ravinder also talks about compassion and forgiveness. She talks about the prison system and studies about blame. We may need to separate ourselves from toxic people and toxic situations, but we can still offer forgiveness. She talks about the idea of "Forgiving the Unforgivable," and Free Will. We have choices and we can teach by example. This is Part 2 of the interview. Info: RavinderTaylor.com
Anil Seth is a professor of cognitive and computational neuroscience at the University of Sussex and one of the world's leading researchers on consciousness. His central claim is both unsettling and liberating: we do not passively receive reality, we actively generate it. The world that appears when you open your eyes is not a transparent window onto what is actually out there. It is the brain's best guess, a controlled hallucination, built from the inside out. What We Dive Into:1. Your brain is not reading out the world like a camera. It is making constant predictions about what is out there and updating them with sensory signals. What you perceive is much more a product of those internal predictions than of the raw sensory data coming in. In that sense, all perception is a form of hallucination, just one that happens to be grounded in reality.2. Just as the brain generates a model of the external world, it generates a model of the self. The feeling of being a continuous, stable "I" is another best guess, not a fixed essence waiting to be discovered. This is both humbling and freeing, because a constructed self can be examined and updated in ways a fixed one cannot.3. As AI systems grow more sophisticated, they will increasingly appear to have inner lives. Anil draws a sharp line between intelligence and consciousness, arguing that current AI lacks the biological, embodied, self-regulating properties that we believe underlie genuine experience. Welcome to Gnostic Insights and the Gnostic Reformation on Substack. Before I get into this week’s episode, let me tell you that the entire uninterrupted interview with Bishop Nathan Wilson of The Gnostic Union is now available on YouTube under Cyd Ropp Gnostic Insights playlist. I’ve tried and tried to upload the captioned transcript underneath the video, but neither YouTube nor my video editing software will cooperate. I can only chalk it up to Demiurgic interference, so this must be one important interview! The link is provided here to go straight to it on YouTube. Please “like” it and forward it to friends. Thanks. This week I exchanged emails with a podcast subscriber that presented me with some excellent questions prompted by recent episodes. I asked his permission to share them with you anonymously. I always treasure sincere observations and questions from subscibers because it prompts my gnosis. So here we go. Hi Cyd how's it going? I hope that all is well with you. I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed your series of podcasts with the Bishop. Very interesting to hear some stuff on the unpacking of the original Gnostic texts. I thought that today's pod about your discussion was also very revealing as somebody who loves history, but it's giving me an insight into why you are so suspicious of history—would I be right in thinking that you want your texts to be unfiltered from various historical takes from different flawed human recounters? Yes. It is a common saying that history is written by the victors. This refers to the fact that the winners of wars, both physical killing wars and more subtle ideological wars, write the narratives of their opponents from then on. This is why we have had a couple of thousand years of hearing only one side of the gnostic story and one conventionally accepted version of Christian theology. And we have heard that version from Catholic Councils of the 4th century on down through the Protestant churches of today. The surviving descriptions of the nature of gnosticism were written by those who hated gnosticism, and their work is still read and venerated to this day. And I can tell you that even in the little village I live in, the church folks who have no idea what gnosticism even is are dead set against it and dead set against my efforts of sharing my gnostic insights with them and others—and they let me know of their disapproval. I think these divisive times we are living through now also illustrate how what passes for truth is malleable and untrustworthy. We can all see for ourselves how half of the population characterizes the big picture one way and half of the population characterizes it in a completely different way—and these two sides of the ideological divide are incommensurate with each other. Incommensurate is one of those big words I learned during my graduate studies in rhetoric. It means exclusive—both can't be right—you can't hold both positions—it's either or. So if you extrapolate the culture wars forward a few hundred or a few thousand years into the future, how will history frame the disputes that are currently raging through society? If, for example, socialism finally wins out do you think capitalism will be fairly represented? The reverse is also true, and the winner of this tug of war will be the one who lives to tells the tale. My correspondent goes on to say: I think it must be very appealing to be able to narrow down everything into one text and say that we are only going to look at this one source of right thing for the true knowledge. I think this approach has led us to the Bible and the Koran and other food containers which some followers take quite literally and interpret very strictly. There must be safety and comfort in this approach which could be described as textual at best—literal and possibly in a kind way, and without any judgement, fundamentalist, in its true essence. However, and I expect you are waiting for the but… What is listening whilst listening? He continues: It did occur to me that what you are basically saying is that everything in the Tripartite Tractate is correct. And all of the other texts are interesting, though they may be not to be taken seriously because they are myths. Surely it must've occurred to you that the writer of the Tripartite Tractate was also a human, and ergo—a product of the culture that surrounded him or her? Knowing you to be such a thoughtful and perceptive person, is there something I'm missing here? What is objectively different about the Tripartite Tractate, written by a human, just like all of those other gnostic texts? I am not trying to score points here, I genuinely would like an answer. To which I respond: Truly I do not agree with everything the Tripartite Tractate says and, conversely, much of what the other books say is right, though obscured with layers and language of mythology. The difference between the Tripartite Tractate and the other gnostic texts is that it stands alone and doesn’t depend upon a preexisting mythology to make sense. By that I mean that the Tripartite Tractate is a logical argument that any Sophist would be proud of. It speaks in the language of symbolic logic rather than mythology or (purported) history. The Tripartite Tractate begins with a starting premise (a priori) that in the beginning was consciousness without form. It then proposes a method by which consciousness and its attendant qualities, such as power and love, emanate from the origin and make their way downstream into us and other living creatures. It calls the descent of consciousness a fall, but does not condemn the fall, as it was necessary to escape the purely ethereal and create matter. It describes the fall as a “presumptuous thought” choice by Mr. Rationality itself—Logos. I characterize this presumptuous thought as the first action of “ego” made independently outside of the cooperation of the Fullness. This all seems to me to be an entirely rational argument that simply describes the process of the distribution of consciousness. We don’t have to argue the originating premise because our consciousness is self-evident. We are asking where it came from and going upstream until we reach a logical a priori starting point. A lot of what I share at Gnostic Insights comes from my own Theory of Everything—A Simple Explanation of Absolutely Everything—that I conceived and wrote 20 years ago, without benefit of any gnostic texts. So that lens informs my reading of the gnostic books. And I immediately recognized my own T.O.E. when I first read the Tripartite Tractate. The Simple Explanation is written using secular, non-religious language and lots of science and math. My illustrations and charts are different than my gnostic illustrations and charts. But the master chart is identical. The Tripartite Tractate did give me an answer I had been chewing over within the Simple Explanation, that being the difference between living creatures and inert elemental matter. I appreciated that clarification and incorporated it into the Simple Explanation. Otherwise, the book still stands as True. What is meant by True in this philosophical sense is whether or not the argument is coherent and internally consistent and comports with direct observation of the world. Now, as to whether or not I believe that only the Tripartite Tractate is true gnosis and the other gnostic books are mostly mythological–that is not the way I would put it. I don't take the Tripartite Tractate as more holy than other books, and there are a couple of aspects I don't fully understand or agree with. For example, the Tripartite Tractate aligns with other gnostic books in saying that there are three types of humans—the spiritual—called the pneumatic; the ordinary, emotional type called the psychic; and the material, called the hylic. The Tripartite Tractate doesn't seem to think that the hylic types are true second order powers and that they didn't exist in the beginning and will not return to the ethereal home above after death. The final page of the Tripartite Tractate codex is riddled with burned out areas from a fire, yet it seems to say, and I'm filling in some missing words: “While the material beings will be left behind until the end to perish, for they will not give their [missing words—probably acknowledgment of the Christ or allegiance to the Christ ]… If they have returned once more to that which … [missing words—probably worships the demiurge] … in the way that they were… [missing words—probably passing as humans] while they do not exist… [missing words—probably from the beginning] but they had been useful [for the] time that they were among them, even if they are not… [missing words—probably second order powers, —possibly among creation] at first, then… [missing words—possibly they were brought forth] to do something else by means of the power they had in the establishment [to] oppose them.” [yes, I realize I am interpolating a lot of missing words. if you have a more cogent interpretation, please offer it.] This final section of the Tripartite Tractate seems to indicate there are hylics among us with whom we live and work side by side who will not be redeemed at the end of time. This holds out the possibility that there are non-second order powers among us who can pass for living beings—not an uncommon thought in gnostic circles. My brother, Bill, and I contend that all life forms come from above and contain the consciousness and life of the Source. So for a non-living creature were to be born in the usual way is an impossibility. In my mind, the only way a truly non-living hylic so-called “human” could walk among us would be in the form of robotic facsimiles. There are many examples of this in science fiction, such as the cylons of “Battlestar Galactica” and the self-aware bots in P.D. Dick's “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” which became the film called “Blade Runner.” We are now be on the threshold of building and employing these newly constructed robots who appear human, appear conscious, appear living, but are actually programmed imitations that did not exist from the beginning. (Battlestar Galactica carries this very question throughout the series as the cylons become self-aware and question their relationship with God.) If that is the case, then these could be the hylics that will not return to the ethereal because they did not come from the ethereal and the end times would need to be pushed back far enough to accommodate their undetectable assimilation into society. But hey—that's just my notion. And here at Gnostic Insights I try to stick with gnostic insights, not my wild speculations. Cylons of Battlestar Galactica television series. The cylons adapt to become more and more “human.” What is true is that I believe the Tripartite Tractate describes our existence and our origins, as well as our future. But we have to remember it is at least 2,000 year old prophecy and embedded in the language and concepts of that time. Maybe the writer was indeed anticipating androids among us, but that seems an unlikely interpretation. I have been watching quite a few “alternate history” videos lately on YouTube that propose completely different backstories and histories that stretch eons into the past—histories that could indeed have been technologically sophisticated enough to produce androids that blend in with the crowd. But we're getting way into the weeds here. One reason that most readers of the Tripartite Tractate and other gnostic texts think there is an order of unredeemable humans is that they are referred to as “those who belong to the imitation.” The most basic interpretation is that those who we call materialists are the people who only believe what they can see, measure, and taste. In that sense, they belong to the imitation since the imitation is the material projection that is this cosmos. The atheists among them do not believe in the ethereal space Above, or the originating Source, and so by default they belong to the imitation. Yet, if all living creatures are children of the Fullness above, even these will return to the Fullness at the end of time. The way I reason this comes from following the logic of emanation and return—the Fullness would not be Full without them, and it is a basic proposition that nothing of the Source can ever be lost. So you see, the logic is what drives my interpretations, logic—Logos—not mythology. At least that how it seems to me. Another aspect of the imitation is the molecular structure of our world, including our bodies. We inhabit a molecular body. Our living essence, the light of consciousness that makes organisms soft and squishy and alive, literally inhabits an otherwise dead, rocky, elemental body of molecules. So everywhere we go, it goes. And when we “die” and our spirit exits this material cosmos, our hylic body is left behind. It belongs to the imitation—get it? So in this case, the hylic human refers to the elemental molecules that make up our bodies—that inert mud that the Demiurge could not raise up to life, as the mythological version goes. So, this material aspect of our earthly existence is part of the imitation and will not return to the Fullness along with our spirits because it did not exist from the beginning. It is a product of the fall. But I digress—back to the subscriber's email: Secondly, I would like to ask you a question about giving glory to God. I liked what you were saying about turning your attention away from yourself, and your ego, and to look towards the divine and offer up a prayer. I am at the stage of my journey where this is something that does not seem so completely alien, as I am moving gradually away from materialist atheism, which has been caught on my existence for the past 50 odd years. Where I get into trouble is basically the whole business of giving glory to God, because the monad who is omniscience and immutable is hardly likely to need me to do a lot of worshipping or giving glory. This was like a bit controversial, and I'm not trying to argue in bad faith, but wouldn't the demiurge himself be more likely to want humans to give glory to him than the monad? I imagine that giving glory means something to people who have come up in a Christian background, but personally it seems completely irrelevant and unnecessary – A bit like one of those business buzzwords, you hear like synergism or government types talking about inclusiveness or diversity—a sort of empty phrase that could really mean anything you want. It would be really helpful if you could unpack it a bit for me because I'm sure I'm missing something here. Giving glory is not for the benefit of the Father. Giving glory is how we tune into the Father’s resonance. Giving glory is for our benefit, not God's. Now, the God of the Old Testament, the Demiurge—is that jealous, forgetful god that thinks it’s the be-all and end-all. It does like to receive worship and glory because it feeds its ego. But the God Above All Gods, the Father of consciousness and the ALL, doesn’t need our worship and glory—you are right about that. It is we who need to give glory, not It that needs to receive glory. The Totalities of the ALL which were the first emanations from the Son, and the Aeons of the Fullness love to give glory. The Totalities do nothing but give glory to the Father, and that is a pure expression of love and devotion to the Father. It's a good thing for us, way down here in the consciousness stream, that they give unceasing glory, because they are the first emanations out of the Son and the fountain of the consciousness and love that eventually flows into all living creatures. The Totalities that give glory continuously are like an electrical plug that stays connected to the greater originating Source. As above so below—we also connect with the Source when we give glory. And since connecting with the Source cannot be accomplished when ego rules your psyche, you must be humble enough to set your ego aside and pray to/give glory to the greater Source. Surely you recognize that your ego is a lesser being than the Father of everything. If your ego does not allow you to think that, then you are not putting your spiritual foot forward but merely your ego. Our correspondent replies: Dear Cyd As usual- I’m so impressed by your clear and reasoned thinking – it is so elegant and simple. I wish I could think like that. However, there are a few things I would like to push back on respectfully. I have been dialoguing with the Demiurge – Chat GPT – and here’s what the archonic AI came up with in answer to your firm assertion that there is no mythology in the Tripartite Tractate. It basically thinks that it’s an overstatement – and I quote: The text gives an extensive creation story involving:• an unknowable Father;• the Son and the Church;• emanated aeons inhabiting the Fullness or Pleroma;• Logos making a presumptuous, defective attempt to comprehend the Father;• the production of deficiency, psychic and material powers;• a Demiurge who creates humanity;• three fundamental classes of human beings;• and a Saviour who descends to restore what has become divided. [Cyd] Let me pop in here to correct a very important error in this demiurgic version of Gnosticism. It sneaked into its answer a very demiurgic assertion that is not True: • a Demiurge who creates humanity The Demiurge certainly did not create humanity or any other living, conscious being. The second order powers—all living beings—are children of the Aeons of the Fullness, sent down into this lifeless cosmos to remind the Demiurge of the greater power Above, the true source of life, love, and consciousness. I have a habit of calling us the children of the Fullness, but the Tripartite Tractate actually calls us the fruit or the spores of the Fullness. Which is another way of saying the emanations of discreet packages of consciousness, or what I call in Simple Explanation language units of consciousness. To me, this is not mythological but descriptive to the best of our ability. Now, back to the correspondent's email: That is all mythological material. So then it rambles on quoting lots of sources etc BUT what the machine is getting at is that the difference between the Tripartite Tractate and some other gnostic texts is that there is a solid logic framework under the superstructure of mythological language and characters. This fits in with your TOE very neatly – and it is no surprise that you had an ‘OMG’ moment when you discovered the Tripartite Tractate—I would also have thought the same if an ancient text fitted perfectly into a system of thought that I had spent years developing. And you might be right—the uncanny fit could be a ‘tell’ that this truly IS the way of everything. On the less interesting point of contention though – I must disagree with you – there IS mythology in the Tripartite Tractate superstructure – the language is mythological – maybe less so than other gnostic texts. As an aside, as a writer – I would also say -there is nothing particularly bad about being mythological either. To which I reply: I have to laugh at using Dialogue with Demiurge AI as a trustworthy source. lol. I will see your Chat GPT and raise you Microsoft CoPilot AI (poker language, I assume you recognize). My AI says this: “This work presents a restored cosmology of the Fullness — a structural, metaphysical account of creation, fracture, and restoration. It is not myth, nor allegory, nor theology in the conventional sense. It is architecture: a precise description of how consciousness, relation, and harmony operate across the three great phases of existence.” I like that description—that the Tripartite Tractate gives the metaphysical architecture of consciousness rather than a myth. I always like to take the higher, meta view of information, which is literally a step above the normal language and arguments. That’s the secret of how I observe and reconcile seemingly irreconcilable positions—by looking up above the words for the meaning behind them. It seems to me that most people are lost in the language and “can’t see the forest for the trees.” Not meaning you, necessarily, it’s just my observation of how understanding goes awry. By taking the meta approach, the concepts automatically simplify as many points of view and language choices are collapsed into their base meanings. The words I use in my Simple Explanation of gnosis and science and everything else are not written in stone. They are my attempt to convey large concepts in the simple, most recognizable forms. If I say “god” it’s because people are familiar with that term. I offer alternative words, like Source, Mother-Father, Metaverse, the Great One, the Origin, so that people will see that the particular word is less important than what it represents and that what they think of as god has a broader meaning than the meme they have been holding onto. These images from my well-worn copy of the Tripartite Tractate of The Nag Hammadi Scriptures edited by Marvin Meyer, show you the process by which I read and interpret arcane texts. I put the language into illustrated concepts and words I can recognize and understand. The writer shared this final thought from the Chat GPT: There is also a genuine philosophical difficulty: how can a perfect and harmonious divine Fullness generate an irrational act? Saying that Logos possessed the capacity to exceed his proper limits explains the mechanism only by placing the possibility of deficiency inside the supposedly perfect order. He says, I think that is actually a pretty decent question from our AI demiurge—right? I expect that you have a great answer though. To which I reply: As to the Demiurge’s new question that you have put forth in this email—that’s an old canard that is often trotted out to stump theists. “How could a good and perfect God allow for the creation of evil?” I am not at all stumped by that question. The answer can most simply be stated in two words: Free Will. If we begin with the premise that the Father/Source/etc. emanates its entire nature outward with its emanation, then obviously free will is a part of that emanation. After all, it is inarguable that the Source possesses free will. The Aeons have free will. Logos is an Aeon. Logos has free will. While the rest of the Aeons were using their free will to cooperate with each other and to glorify the Father and the Son, Logos used its free will to go in a fresh direction. Logos thought it would be going upward to rejoin the highest glory. The Tripartite Tractate says that Logos didn’t realize this was in impossibility, because no one can approach the power source that is the Origin without being annihilated. And like a magnetic polarity, Logos was repelled by the Source and was knocked out of alignment with the Fullness (the fall). This dissonance became our material cosmos. And because Logos had free will, we have free will. This all flows logically from the a priori definition of the Source. This may sound mythological, but it is not. It could be easily described in scientific terms. Like the way a beam of focused light still allows for stray photons to go off beam. Or boiling water in the kettle mostly clumps together on the top of the water as bubbles, but some bubbles go outward to the edge of the kettle and pop. And so forth. The limit is our language, not the architecture or process. The limit is also imposed by the meme bundle being held the human observer-inquirer when their memes do not allow for certain possibilities to be seen and accepted. It is our meme attachments that limit our capacity to observe and learn. So says me.

In a world racing toward smarter machines, empathy speakers and authors Rob Volpe and Maria Ross get curious in this limited subseries about what only humans can feel, do, and be — and why that's our greatest competitive advantage. Enjoy this limited subseries here on The Empathy Edge. Aspiration, Hope, Free Will & the Future-Oriented MindHumans don't just live in the present. We imagine futures that don't exist yet, then try to build them, and we do it using the same neural machinery that lets us remember our past.Maria Ross and Rob Volpe explore what psychologist Endel Tulving called mental time travel: the brain's unique ability to simulate scenarios that haven't happened using a network that overlaps almost entirely with episodic memory. We can't dream forward if we can't look back. Yet, our memories can be unreliable, causing us to build narratives around what actually happened or how it impacted us. Are we the only species who can do this? That sets up the harder question: do we actually choose, or does it just feel like we do?Finally, we discuss the difference between hope and optimism. When humans are at their best, they describe aspiration, vision, and forward motion, but humans in survival mode, who cannot access hope or aspiration, are equally human. What does that tell us about how fragile, and how earned, this superpower really is?To access the episode transcript, go to www.TheEmpathyEdge.com and search by episode title. Physicist Jenny Wagner joins us, asking not whether dark matter is possible but whether it is necessary, whether the missing mass was ever missing or only misplaced inside the models we carried in before we looked up. She works the inverse problem of gravitational lensing the way a person works a locked door in the dark, feeling for what the data actually says against what the assumptions quietly whisper, until the cosmological constant, dark energy, and the whole dark sector start to look less like discoveries and more like scaffolding we forgot was scaffolding. From Zwicky and the Coma cluster to MOND and the Bullet cluster, she traces how a pragmatic guess hardened into orthodoxy, and how general relativity alone might carry more of the weight than anyone budgeted for. Is God truly omniscient, or does the Bible present a different picture? In this episode of Nephilim Death Squad, David Lee Corbo (The Raven), TopLobsta, and Ed Mabrie (Faith By Reason) continue a thought-provoking discussion about God's foreknowledge, free will, prophecy, and what Scripture actually teaches. The conversation examines challenging biblical passages involving Job, Abraham, Satan (ha-satan), Isaiah 45:7, Revelation, and the nature of God's knowledge. Does free will require that future human choices remain genuinely open? How should Christians understand omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence? Are these biblical concepts, or later theological formulations?Ed Mabrie walks through numerous scriptural examples while explaining why he believes the Bible teaches that God possesses all knowledge that exists while allowing genuine human freedom. The discussion also explores prophecy, the role of the adversary in the Book of Job, the seven churches of Revelation, and why Christians should test every teaching against Scripture rather than blindly accepting tradition.Whether you agree or disagree, this episode is designed to encourage careful Bible study, thoughtful discussion, and deeper examination of difficult theological questions. If you enjoy conversations about:Biblical theologyChristian worldviewFree will vs predestinationRevelationOld Testament studiesBiblical prophecyNephilim researchChristian apologeticsyou're in the right place.► Subscribe for more Biblical analysis, Christian worldview discussions, and conspiracy research through a Biblical lens.Listen on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and everywhere podcasts are available.Ed Mabrie (Faith By Reason)Website: https://faithbyreason.netYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@FaithByReasonFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/FaithByReason00:00 Intro00:54 Welcome & Patreon Updates02:20 Brohemian Grove Announcement03:05 Ed Mabrie Introduction04:10 Faith By Reason & New Book07:05 Continuing Last Week's Discussion08:30 Does God Know Every Future Choice?10:20 The Three "Omnis" Debate12:05 Free Will and God's Foreknowledge13:00 Job, Satan, and the Nature of Testing14:40 Isaiah 45:7 and God Creating Evil18:00 Biblical Examples Supporting the Discussion28:30 Revelation and the Seven Churches43:15 Questions, Objections & Scriptural Responses58:40 Final ThoughtsBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/nephilim-death-squad--6389018/support.☠️ Nephilim Death Squad — New episodes 5x/week.Join our Patreon for early access, bonus shows & the private Telegram hive.Subscribe on YouTube & Rumble, follow @NephilimDSquad on X/Instagram, grab merch at toplobsta.com. Restlessness, dissatisfaction, the feeling that you're somehow in the wrong life... what is life telling you? Most people spend their entire lives asking the wrong question: 'What should I do?' The soul sees things differently. Until you shift your perspective, you are going to keep coming up against the same problems when it comes to your purpose. There's a reason spiritual teachers call it the 'dark night of the soul', and it almost always traces back to the same root cause. Today we're going to talk about what that is, and what to do about it." In this LIVE episode of Soul Elevation with Kara Goodwin, we explore one of the most powerful and fundamental questions you can ask: Does everyone have a life purpose? And what actually happens when you don't live yours? We'll dive into: ✨ Does every soul arrive with a unique life purpose? ✨ How to know if you're already living your purpose ✨ What happens energetically, emotionally, and spiritually when you resist your calling ✨ Whether living your purpose is a requirement, and what the cost of ignoring it might be ✨ How to begin finding your purpose if you feel completely lost Handprint analysis episode with Richard Unger: https://www.soulelevationpodcast.com/251-discovering-your-lifes-purpose-a-profoundly-accurate-system-richard-unger/ ─────────────────────────────
In this episode of the Crazy Wisdom Podcast, host Stewart Alsop sits down with Violeta Bulc, former European Commissioner for Transport and coordinator of the book Leadership Challenged, featuring 24 authors from around the world. They explore the dangers of transhumanism, the misuse of artificial intelligence, and how Silicon Valley has lost its authority to lead on technology ethics. Drawing from her background as a computer engineer who worked in Silicon Valley, Bulc argues for creating global AI infrastructure with democratically agreed-upon standards—similar to how the early Internet was built. The conversation covers the manipulation of public consciousness, the importance of middle-class agency in social change, and why humanity needs to reclaim ownership of its collective knowledge before private enterprises consolidate total control. Bulc's book is available for free download at ecocivilization.earth.Timestamps00:00 Stewart introduces Violeta Bulc and her book Leadership Challenged, coordinated with 24 global authors discussing humanity's chance through better leadership approaches.05:00 Violeta explains her technology background and critiques artificial intelligence naming, arguing these are powerful data-processing tools without true intelligence, emphasizing unknown ethical standards embedded in AI systems.10:00 Discussion of transhumanism as investment buzzword serving elite agendas, comparing to previous Silicon Valley bubble while emphasizing humanity's unexplored relational, spiritual and energetic dimensions beyond industrial development.15:00 Stewart discusses mainstream culture's fragmentation since 2008, Silicon Valley's dystopian vision, and personal strategies for reducing dependency on AI tools through diversification and stepping back from reliance.20:00 Violeta explains historical civilization patterns and middle class destruction, expressing hope that emerging thoughts worldwide will eventually converge to shift current power dynamics and technological obsessions.25:00 Technology as tool versus misuse, emphasizing builders' responsibility and ethical frameworks needed, comparing AI regulation needs to automotive safety standards that weren't implemented early enough.30:00 Edward Bernays discussion revealing manipulation through public relations and psychological operations, leading to modern sock puppet armies used by nation states for narrative control online.35:00 Internet described as most democratic technological tool ever built, maintained by responsible groups preserving equality and inclusion principles through decentralized infrastructure and IP address accessibility.40:00 Proposal for global AI infrastructure with agreed rules treating applications as interfaces, questioning private enterprise ownership of humanity-generated data and advocating collective management with usage fees.45:00 Technology evolution patterns from mainframes to personal computing back to centralized cloud computing, emphasizing need to prevent domination while preserving entrepreneurship and collective decision rights.50:00 Quantum physics principles applied to human connection and responsibility, discussing EU ethical committees reviewing AI projects post-approval, emphasizing caring hearts over short-term quarterly corporate thinking.55:00 Violeta shares company transformation experiences moving away from competition models toward serving genuine market needs, concluding with book availability at ecocivilization.earth for free download.Key Insights1. Violeta Bulc argues that artificial intelligence is fundamentally misnamed because there is no actual intelligence within these systems. They are powerful computational tools capable of processing massive amounts of data and identifying patterns, but they lack genuine intelligence. What concerns her most is that this technology has owners with embedded interests and unknown ethical standards, yet society increasingly wants to build everything on these applications and even allow them to make decisions for us. She emphasizes that as someone with decades of experience in high-tech engineering, including work in Silicon Valley, she understands the architecture behind these systems and believes we must recognize them as tools rather than intelligent entities.2. During her time as European Commissioner, Bulc helped write the first European strategy on artificial intelligence, which included three critical elements she was proud of. First, there must always be a red button to switch off any application or technology when it causes harm. Second, there must be a responsible person behind every app who can be held accountable for its consequences. Third, there should be an ethical committee evaluating powerful applications to understand their potential consequences. Though these principles have been somewhat diluted over time, they represent an important framework for responsible technology development that prioritizes human oversight and accountability.3. Bulc observes that throughout human history, great civilizations have risen across all continents, not just in Europe or the Americas, and most brought themselves down through decadence, self-centeredness, and arrogance before being finished off by external forces. She believes Western civilization is currently at this point, having become accustomed to obtaining resources through force and authority while constantly readjusting moral standards to serve elite interests. The industrial revolution initially improved conditions for people because industry needed workers, which led to the emergence of a powerful middle class. However, the elite recognized that the middle class was the only segment of society truly interested in change, so they systematically worked to destroy it over the past twenty to thirty years.4. The Internet represents the most progressive democratic tool ever built in human society, according to Bulc. Its fundamental architecture, based on TCP IP protocol and packet switching, was designed to be non-hierarchical, allowing any computer with an IP address to be seen on the same level as powerful global corporations. The maintenance of Internet tables remains in the hands of people with high levels of awareness and responsibility who are faithful to its initial democratic mission. She had hoped this technology would bring the world together as the closest tool humanity has invented to support equality and inclusion, and despite the problems with applications built on top of it, the underlying infrastructure still maintains these democratic principles.5. Bulc proposes creating a global AI infrastructure with globally agreed rules and standards, similar to how the Internet functions. She argues that many AI tools currently claim ownership of humanity's knowledge, wisdom, and heritage without permission, manipulating data that rightfully belongs to all of humanity. Instead of allowing private enterprises to capture this data first and then charge people to access it, she envisions putting all of humanity's data into a commonly managed infrastructure with clear rules about who can use it, under what conditions, and with fees paid back to humanity. This approach would challenge the current fragmented network of privately owned data centers and restore collective ownership of human knowledge.6. The transhumanism movement represents an obsession rather than a thoughtful application of technology, in Bulc's view. She distinguishes between using transhumanism as a tool for exploring the universe under extreme conditions where humans cannot survive versus implementing it on Earth as a replacement for humanity. The fundamental problem is that the human characters building these machines and applications have questionable ethical models, and they will not allow the rest of humanity to coexist peacefully on the planet. She advocates for transhumanism to be used for space exploration while preserving Earth for humans who want to live as relational, spiritual, and social beings connected to the natural ecosystem.7. Bulc emphasizes that we must move beyond the competition model and think carefully about the consequences of our actions because humanity is too connected and interdependent to simply do things because we can. She applies three basic laws of quantum physics to everyday life: we are all connected and influence each other, the same ideas can emerge simultaneously around the world through entanglement, and the observer always makes a difference in any situation. The current rush to develop technology without pausing to assess consequences is a deliberate tool to prevent thinking, driven by fear of competition. However, her fourteen years of experience helping companies recover from financial trouble demonstrated that moving away from competition models and focusing on genuinely serving market needs creates sustainable, prominent players who work together with customers and local communities.

Join me for a King Hero interview with Will Keller, who has passionately pursued many avenues of freedom, including reality itself. While Will is best known for teaching Natural Law, this conversation explores a different question:What does it even mean to be real? We'll look at the difference between reality and philosophy, reality and hope, reality and what we think should be, along with the very real experiences within the human psyche that are often overlooked.Inside this conversation, we'll explore:reality as a path to freedom (and what freedom even is)the relationship between Natural Law and lived experiencewhy so much of modern life is disconnected from realitythe human tendency to substitute ideals for direct experiencethe importance of recognizing what is actually happening within ourselveshow greater contact with reality can transform the way we livehow freedom and responsibility are connectedThe more clearly we see what is, the more consciously we can choose how to respond, be responsible, and gain greater freedom.Join us for a conversation about bringing attention back to what is, inside and out, and why that may be one of the most powerful acts of freedom available to us.About Will KellerWill Keller is a public speaker, educator, and freedom advocate dedicated to teaching Natural Law and the principles of morality, consciousness, and human freedom. Through presentations, podcasts, and educational content, his work bridges philosophy, metaphysics, and practical action, helping people better understand the human condition. As Will says:"It's not about watering down wisdom; it's about inviting everyone to drink from the well of knowledge."His work seeks to make profound ideas accessible, encouraging people to explore consciousness, morality, and the deeper questions of existence with clarity and curiosity.Learn more at:https://willkeller.com ***MORE FROM BETHSign up to take a 5-minute King Hero's Journey archetype quizApply to become a member of the House of Free WillRumbleKing Hero Telegram ChannelTwitter (X)InstagramSign up for a Hero's Journey Archetype ReadingOrder a copy of my book, ‘Journey: A Map of Archetypes to Find Lost Purpose in a Sea of Meaninglessness'Donate by PayPal if you're inspiredIf we're just meeting...I'm Beth Martens—founder of the House of Free Will, pattern hunter, archetype reader, podcaster, author, coach trainer, and business coach. You have to bring it back to the investment of the transformation they want to have, and how badly do they want to have that. Lesley Logan 0:13 Welcome to the Be It Till You See It podcast where we talk about taking messy action, knowing that perfect is boring. I'm Lesley Logan, Pilates instructor and fitness business coach. I've trained thousands of people around the world and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self-doubt. My friends, action brings clarity and it's the antidote to fear. Each week, my guest will bring bold, executable, intrinsic and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and Be It Till You See It. It's a practice, not a perfect. Let's get started. Lesley Logan 0:55 Welcome back to the Be It Till You See It interview recap on my coast in life. Brad and I are going to dig into the enlightening convo I had with Julian Barnes in our last episode. If you haven't yet listened to that interview, this will make a lot of no sense, because it was a different type of interview. It wasn't really an interview of what Julian does, it wasn't really a Be It Till You See It, it was very much a "let's talk about the Pilates industry." Brad Crowell 1:17 Yeah, it was an industry debrief. Lesley Logan 1:18 An industry debrief, and so. Brad Crowell 1:20 It was kind of cool, actually.Lesley Logan 1:22 Yeah, and I also, coming off of the recap of Adrian Starks, it made me even more aware of our purpose when it comes to Pilates business coaching. Because I don't know if Julian asked me this when we were on camera or off, but he was like, "You like helping these small studios?" And I was like, "Because that's what accessibility is." There's got to be different types of Pilates studios, because people need different things, and everyone shouldn't be in a 14-person class.Brad Crowell 1:48 Yeah.Lesley Logan 1:49 So, anyways, it's a really... if you are a Pilates instructor, or you have one, then they need to listen to both these episodes. After you listen to the amazing announcement of today, the holiday and the charity, and the other things, if you want to go off to an FYF or something else, I won't be offended. If you like the sound of this voice and you want to keep supporting it, and Brad, just the voice.Brad Crowell 2:12 Just the voice.Lesley Logan 2:13 You should be an OPC member. OPC is not for people who are obsessed with Pilates, I mean, it is, but it's really for people who just want easy access to real Pilates, and then a safe place to be imperfect, and to be themselves, and to be supported, and to be like, "It's okay if you missed a week, you're welcome back. We're all here for you." And if so, "Oh, you recover from injury. Oh, I had that one. Here are these things." It's where you get community support, and you're not alone. So, go to opc.me/40Brad Crowell 2:39 Yeah, actually, we got a new link for you. It's opc.me/beitLesley Logan 2:43 opc.me/beitBrad Crowell 2:45 B-E-I-TLesley Logan 2:47 B-E-I-T. I'm still waiting for my "just be it" things, given that everyone can distill people's shit around here. Why can't I just have "just be it"?Brad Crowell 2:59 I love that.Lesley Logan 3:01 It's okay, but we have "be it," and you can be it too, and you can be an OPC member while you're being it. I promise, I promise it helps. Today is July 9, 2026, and it's International Emergency Kit Day.Brad Crowell 3:13 That's right. It's Emergency Kit Day, y'all. This is a Boy Scout talking to you right now.Lesley Logan 3:18 Today is a day to raise awareness about being prepared when disaster strikes. An emergency kit, sometimes called a go-bag or disaster bag, is a portable kit that has essentials you and your family need to survive in case of emergency. They are easy to grab when you need to evacuate for whatever reason, usually a natural disaster. This day is a reminder to check your kit or build one today. It will make all the difference when an emergency happens. We have first aid kits, but that's what I thought this was, and it's clearly a go-bag, which we do not have, Brad.Brad Crowell 3:44 Yeah, we don't have. I don't have the movie duffel bag that's like, "Go, go, go," and you grab it on the way out the door, or the baby bag when someone is pregnant and has to run to the hospital, they got a bag ready. We probably could put one of those together. I think that would be wise. Don't let someone sell you a $300 go-bag. Put it together yourself.Lesley Logan 4:07 Just put it together. Just please put it together yourself. Photocopies of things are really great. If you learn anything from the fires of LA, it means you need to have copies of very important documents: birth certificates, passports, but also insurance policies, wills, whatever that is.Brad Crowell 4:24 I should digitize those and just put them.Lesley Logan 4:25 Can we have a digitized go-bag, Brad? Because I gotta be honest, we're gonna have to then remember where it is. Because I thought there's an emergency kit thing, and it was so funny, because you were asked if you had one recently by someone, and you're like, "Oh yeah," and I'm like, "Thank God they asked you, because if they had asked me, I'd be like, 'We don't have one.'"Brad Crowell 4:47 But not only that, if you have an emergency kit, go through it, because when was the last time you had it, or opened it, or used it? I went through ours, I don't know, six or 12 months ago, and I pulled everything out, and all the Band-Aids, the stickiness of the Band-Aids was just gone.Lesley Logan 5:03 Not sticky.Brad Crowell 5:04 Yeah, so I was like, "Oh wow, yeah, all this expired in 2005." So I got rid of all that and replaced everything. And then sure enough, somebody asked us, "Hey, do you have an emergency kit?" And I was like, "Yes," and I can stand by that everything is ready for you here. Yeah.Lesley Logan 5:23 And it's really funny because we actually have a really massive emergency kit in the bathroom by our studio in the house, and I was looking for Band-Aids in the bathroom that I get ready in every day. And then I was cleaning things up and getting ready for people to show up, and there's this massive Brad kit, and I was like, "Oh, we have a massive emergency kit," and I opened it up. No Band-Aids. Zero Band-Aids. That has not been updated. I'm like, clearly this is not a real studio, because. So go check your emergency kits, go create a digitized go-bag, because. Brad Crowell 5:56 We want a digitized go-bag, and then maybe a real one that's like, if you got to run out the door and you need a change of clothes or some shoes or something. This is notLesley Logan 6:02 This is not what the holiday is, what the holiday is, but there's that If I Die book. Have you seen this? I got asked for it on my Instagram. It's called If I Die or When I Die, and it's all these important things, and we should really fill that out.Brad Crowell 6:16 Everything You Need to Know Journal. If I Die.Lesley Logan 6:20 Brad's gonna find a digital one.Brad Crowell 6:21 I found it already. Yeah, well, this is a book, actually, by Christopher Lombardi. Collect all the information your loved ones will need to know at a difficult time. And he said, "When my father passed away, I wish I had such a book."Lesley Logan 6:35 Yeah, well, that's interesting. It's a little too much adulting for me in one day, but I like the idea of it.Brad Crowell 6:40 Yeah, there's also When I Die planners with pockets.Lesley Logan 6:44 Pocket.Brad Crowell 6:44 Yeah, that has little pockets in it.Lesley Logan 6:46 Oh, for things like my card, I have a card in Brad's office attached to the refrigerator from when my dad dies, a number to call for them to cremate him.Brad Crowell 6:54 Yeah.Lesley Logan 6:54 I know where the card is.Brad Crowell 6:56 I mean, there's even Reddit arguments about this: I made an "If I die" packet for my husband. My family is now calling me morbid for this effort. I think it's smart.Lesley Logan 7:05 It's incredibly smart, and it's not morbid. And you are gonna be... here's the thing, we talked about grief two weeks ago, had nothing to do with people, but we're just gonna bring it back up, when someone is dealing with the loss of a loved one, the last thing you need to figure out is the fucking password to your shit.Brad Crowell 7:22 Yeah.Lesley Logan 7:23 Don't do that to people. I'm watching The Pit, and that is a trap. You don't want to be dealing with that, plus what is their insurance? All that stuff. No, no, don't do that to people. And as I say this, Brad and I are hypocrites, because we have yet to sit down and do our fucking thing that his parents asked us to do three times, which is the DNR and the will thing, and all that stuff. So.Brad Crowell 7:48 There's a, we talked about this before, there's an organization called Free Will. Make your free will online.Lesley Logan 7:54 Okay, well. Brad Crowell 7:57 freewill.comLesley Logan 7:57 Well, this day just turned into a very helpful day, and my ADHD is really overwhelmed. Upcoming travel and events, you guys, eLevate 2027 is full, sold out, can't take another body, but you can join us today.Brad Crowell 8:13 You can join us today.Lesley Logan 8:17 At 1pm Pacific time.Brad Crowell 8:19 Is that 1pm? Lesley Logan 8:20 Yeah. Brad Crowell 8:20 I'm glad you know that.Lesley Logan 8:21 It's at 1 p.m. to learn about 2028 Elevate, and if you're like, "Well, Lesley, thanks, I'm going back to this on a different date," there's probably a replay up.Brad Crowell 8:31 Yeah, there'll be a replay. We'll put the replay up on the Elevate page, I'm sure.Lesley Logan 8:35 Go to xxll.co/waitlist, and if you missed it. Brad Crowell 8:40 Then go to lesleylogan.co/elevate and that's where the replay will be.Lesley Logan 8:45 Yeah, summer tour is really close, a few weeks away.Brad Crowell 8:49 OPC Summer TourLesley Logan 8:50 Yeah. Brad Crowell 8:50 Come join us in real life, I'm very excited.Lesley Logan 8:52 How many cities are we going to?Brad Crowell 8:53 13 or 14Lesley Logan 8:54 It's the reason we're recording prior to the announcement, so we don't know, but what I can say is it's probably mostly sold out, so you want to go to OPC. I can confidently say that.Brad Crowell 9:04 Yeah, I mean, we're getting close to.Lesley Logan 9:07 Well, because these are not conventions, these are literal pop-ups. These are small studios, we're talking small classes and workshops, and we do that so instead of having 50 people in a workshop, there's 25 and you can actually get to talk to me, and we get to take pictures, and we get to nerd out on Pilates. And the workshops are only 90 minutes. You don't have to take a whole day off, you can just take a part of a day off, and you get to be with other people. And Balanced Body is sponsoring our tour again, and so we'll have the Contrology equipment with us, plus some really fun prizes. So, opc.me/tour.Brad Crowell 9:41 opc.me/tour come join us.Lesley Logan 9:43 If you're new here.Brad Crowell 9:45 If you're new here.Lesley Logan 9:46 I make flashcards with Pilates exercises, and they have QR codes that take you to videos, and they have the setup and action on the back, and they have really cool tips that I gave you that are my words based on these things. If you like the way that I talk about Pilates, they're right there. And they've been edited by a contemporary trained teacher with contemporary women, and they've been edited by someone who's never done any of the stuff before. Shout out to the spine corrector, because after that, she wanted to buy one. So that's how good that deck is. So, go to opc.me/flashcards.Brad Crowell 10:12 Yeah, opc.me/flashcardsLesley Logan 10:15 And if you have the flashcards, do you know that we have posters, and you can get our posters at opc.me/posters? And you want to know something fun about the posters: we make no money on them. However, the shipping, because they're printed on demand, the shipping is cheaper because it's usually shipping to near you versus the flashcards, which come from us. By the way, my Aussies and my Canadians, we have distributors on the flashcards, so just reach out to us if shipping shocked the hell out of you. We have distributors in Australia and Canada.Brad Crowell 10:44 Yeah, awesome. Well, we used to do a question answer session here, but we're going to skip that. We've moved all the live Q&As over to YouTube for Sunday morning at 9 a.m. Pacific, and we shifted our focus here because we really like celebrating good works that other people are doing, and sharing about it with you all. Lesley Logan 11:06 Being more aware about things, just the different things that exist out there, and the different ways we can support things that might be of interest. And so July is actually an awareness month of a lot of awarenesses. So when I looked up July month.Brad Crowell 11:22 It's a month of awarenesses.Lesley Logan 11:23 Yeah, one of the things that July is an awareness month about is the ADA laws, and it's like a Disability Pride Awareness Month. It's also an awareness month of mental health awareness for minority communities.Brad Crowell 11:36 ADA for non-Americans, it's the Americans with Disabilities Act, ADA. So, yeah, and that was a big fight that started in California many years back.Lesley Logan 11:45 Yes, I learned a lot about it. It's very impressive. Yeah, and so anyways, I wanted to highlight the mental health awareness for minority communities on today's episode, because last time we did a recap, we actually did talk about mental health, and I just thought it would be a perfect time to bring that up. This charity is Mental Health America, and they actually have a lot of information and support for BIPOC mental health specifically. And if you go to mhanational.org, they actually have a whole section, because they do have a lot of support for the BIPOC community. Culture, ethnicity, and race all play a large role in the way that each person experiences the world and the types of mental health support that they may need. MHA's online BIPOC Mental Health Resource Center offers a wealth of information and tools to bring light to the unique experiences of Black, Indigenous, and people of color communities and empower and uplift BIPOC individuals on their mental health journeys. And I just thought that this is a really cool resource in case you need it, or there's someone that you know who needs it. Because the reality is, is that if you have had a different experience in this world, having a therapist or someone who can understand that is important, and it's key. And I just think that, how cool that there are people who are making sure that resource is easy to find. They'll have blog posts, but they actually have a whole resource page where you can find someone and find some help near you, especially with the shit going on in the world right now. Specifically in the US, I know we have a lot of international listeners, but they just fucked with the Voting Rights Act one more time.Brad Crowell 13:15 Yeah.Lesley Logan 13:16 And we are back to Jim Crow era shit, and it sucks, because the answer to all this is that we all have to vote in November in a way that tells them to fuck off, but also, people of color have been trying to do that for a really long time. You and I were listening to what's his name, that amazing senator from Georgia, who's a reverend, and he's like, "I lived my whole life under that act, and now my children have to fight..."Brad Crowell 13:44 Raphael WarnockLesley Logan 13:45 Raphael Warnock. "My children have to fight for their rights," and I just...Brad Crowell 13:50 Yeah, I mean, it's.Lesley Logan 13:51 Top of life.Brad Crowell 13:52 It's fascinating to hear him talk about that, where he's like, you know, I don't know how old he is, but he's an adult, he's a senator, he's been a pastor for a long time. He has two kids who are younger than 10 years old, and he said, "For me, because of the changes that happened in the '60s, I actually grew up in a more equitable time that allowed me to become a senator as a person of color," and he said, "Unfortunately, my kids are not going to have that."Lesley Logan 14:23 And what they're doing in Tennessee, where they just literally got rid of the one Black Congress person, just terrible stuff. And that's all just... even if you're like, "Well, that's politics," well, politics affects life, and on top of that, if your job and all these different things just becomes really heavy, we need to make mental health support seem like the same thing as you're gonna go get new toothpaste, or you get your things done, like you go to the dentist for cleaning twice a year, we go three. Mental health support needs to be as routine and normal as all of that, and also if you're BIPOC community, I think it's important that you have people who understand what you're going through, because it is different.Brad Crowell 15:05 Yeah.Lesley Logan 15:05 And you're not alone. So, hopefully, mhanational.org resource helps you. If not, and there are other ones out there that you want us to highlight, please send it in. We would love to do that. We'd love to use the platform to do that to help people who need that.Brad Crowell 15:19 Yeah, so leave us a voicemail, 310-905-5534, or you can also share your wins for our Friday pod at beitpod.com/questions. Brad Crowell 15:31 Let's talk about Julian Barnes. Julian is the co-founder and CEO of the BFS Network, the company behind the most comprehensive market research in the boutique fitness industry. He spent 20-plus years helping fitness and wellness businesses build the structure and strategy they need to grow, and he works directly with CEOs and founders of multi-location studios across the country. He brings a data-driven, numbers-first perspective to the work of building a profitable studio.Lesley Logan 15:59 Yeah.Brad Crowell 16:00 And it's really interesting too, because I mean, his background is law, and then he... I don't remember exactly how he got into fitness, but. Lesley Logan 16:07 He told the whole story. It's very weird how he got into it, but. Brad Crowell 16:10 He told us his story, but it wasn't, it was when we were.. we were talking about.Lesley Logan 16:15 Oh, sorry guys, it was definitely at dinner, but it was like, "Oh, he was helping this out, then he did this thing, there was his trainer." It's really kind of cool. Too bad that that's not on the pod, because it doesn't matter, because that was not what he wanted to talk about. But it really went along with Adrian Starks's finding your purpose kind of a thing. So, at any rate, just know that Julian is the evidence of doing that. If you listened two weeks ago, you know, it's interesting, because a lot of people think that studios are only studios if they have multiple teachers and group classes and things like that, and I think.Brad Crowell 16:47 Maybe the word "legitimate studio," right? Because they are still obviously a studio, a real studio, or whatever.Lesley Logan 16:55 But you and I see a studio as anything where a teacher is teaching in, and that studio could be a one-person show.Brad Crowell 17:03 Yeah.Lesley Logan 17:04 And that person can teach small groups and groups and things like that. And so it was interesting to hear the different ways that, in air quotes, legitimate studios are doing things, the numbers they have. But on the non-data side, one of the things I love that he said was there's no transformation without the transaction, and this is really important, because for any business owner who is listening to this, people don't buy your process. I'll just be really honest with you, please don't tell them your process, no one cares. But they cannot get the transformation they want to have, the goal they want to achieve, without paying you the investment of what that is, that's just part of the deal. If they want to have better posture.Brad Crowell 17:45 There's no transformation without the transaction, yes, but let's, before we go further on that, can we take a step back? What do you mean specifically? What's an example of "don't sell the process"? Because how are people actually making a mistake with that? Lesley Logan 18:02 What does thatlook like? They're saying, "We have classes on three days a week at 10 a.m. and your package of six sessions allows you to come two times a week." That's selling the process, right? "You come three days a week at 10 a.m." or "Mat classes are at 6 o'clock" or "At our studio, we have mat, semi-private, and private sessions on the Cadillac Tower." All of that's process. It's overwhelming information. It's words that they don't want to hear.Brad Crowell 18:30 It doesn't even mean anything to them.Lesley Logan 18:31 Even if they know what most of that stuff is. That's not what they actually care about. They care that you understand the problem that they have and where they want to grow, and that you are excited and a trustworthy person for that, and I think where a lot of people. Brad Crowell 18:50 And that's what they will pay for.Lesley Logan 18:51 Yeah, as well. Yoga Works doesn't exist anymore, it's a perfect example. Their entire advertising model was "first two weeks free, your first two weeks are free." That's a process, right? They were not selling "get meditated in 14 days or less" or "de-stress from traffic," right? They weren't selling what you were gonna gain from doing the yoga for two weeks, whereas if they had actually talked more about how you would feel when you left the yoga class.Brad Crowell 19:29 Sure.Lesley Logan 19:30 I think more people would take them up on that for two weeks free, because it's like, "Wow, two weeks free, this class must be full." No, they weren't, and they're not in business. But I see this all the time in people posting about their Pilates stuff: "Hey, I've got, I'm opening up two spots on Mondays and Wednesdays." Unless someone already trusts you, that's unhelpful. Launa Jae, who's been on our show, has done this really well: "Hey, I'm opening in two weeks, I'm moving four spots for women over 40 who are tired of yo-yo dieting, and they want to actually make a change that lasts a lifetime."Brad Crowell 20:03 Right.Lesley Logan 20:03 You can hear the difference, right? "I'm accepting four new clients," or "In two weeks I will have four spots available for this type of person."Brad Crowell 20:11 Yeah.Lesley Logan 20:12 That is listing the transformation someone's gonna have. She doesn't say, "And when you sign up, you'll have to do eight weeks of macro counting." No, she's not saying that, because no one wants to do that. That's too much information. Yeah, and then we get this a lot, because people will say, "Pilates is too expensive." People have been saying Pilates is too expensive since it was fucking cheap. People have been saying Pilates is too expensive since I started teaching, and people weren't even charging $1 a minute, right, for a private session. But you have to understand that if people are making decisions based on cost, they will always do that. You have to bring it back to the investment of the transformation they want to have, and how badly do they want to have that? Brad Crowell 20:51 Yeah, that's the shift.Lesley Logan 20:52 Some people don't actually want to pay the investment that the transformation would cost, so those people will always be looking for a deal, constantly frustrated. They're the ones who are buying this silly tool this week, and the next thing over here, they're bouncing around. But there are people when, if you reframe it to the investment for what you want to achieve, as Julian said, the investment you want to achieve for your desired goal is going to be one of time and money, right? So you change the word to investment, and then in doing that, you're going to shift the mindset from cost to investment, right? Which is a really good shift you want to make in someone's brain, because they invest in things all day long. They invest time in scrolling on their Instagram, they invest time in being in traffic, they invest time on a lot of different things. So, how can we shift the investment of time and money to something that actually works for them? When I was teaching mat classes only, and I was trying to get people in them, I would say, "Stop spending time in traffic, spend that hour in Pilates and get home in 20 minutes after,"Brad Crowell 21:54 Right.Lesley Logan 21:54 So I had people literally come to my mat class two nights a week that I had it, and they loved it, because instead of sitting in traffic for 90 minutes, they did an hour of Pilates, and then it takes them 25 minutes to get home, same amount of time, but they actually got a transformation to go with it. So really shifting that mindset. And then when people do ask for discounts, you have to have some confidence in the product that you have. I keep telling our agency members, "You need to have courage and conviction in what you do," and that also means telling people how they have to be to be a client of yours. My trainer has so much courage and conviction, she is like, "You cannot be a client of mine if you can't commit to this many times." Yeah, and I really do think that if a lot more Pilates instructors said that, yes, they might have fewer clients in the beginning, but I actually think they would have more later, because the transformation of their clients that they're getting would get them more clients.Brad Crowell 22:44 Yeah, I think this is a perfect transition into what I was hoping to talk about, which is... there was a moment where he was talking about Steve Jobs and the iPhone, right? And he's like, he wasn't like, "Hey, do you think it'd be cool if maybe you guys might want..." none of that. It was like, "Hey, check out this amazing tool that we built that's gonna change your lifeLesley Logan 23:07 Yeah.Brad Crowell 23:07 radically," right? And he said, so he was talking about confidence, right? And there's a difference between polling your audience and getting feedback, and how do you present the thing that you sell or do, right?Lesley Logan 23:21 Absolutely certain that there were NDAs signed of people who were looking at the iPhone before we got it. Brad Crowell 23:27 Yeah, but Julian pointed out that you have to be confident enough that the universe will present you what you need when you need it, riht? Lesley Logan 23:35 Yeah.Brad Crowell 23:36 And that is a scary thing. That is the "leap and the net will appear" kind of approach, right? And obviously, that's definitely something that gets severely tested, and Julian acknowledged that, for sure, especially when you have financial needs, and the wrong clients are coming through your door, but saying... y'all were talking about clients, and the clients that will stay with you for the long haul or not, right? And it's always a scramble at first, like we'll take anybody who comes in the door, but what if our messaging, like we were just talking about, was attracting the correct person who we want to serve and is excited to get the transformation? Yeah, they're going to stay with you way, way longer. And I am... I don't know if you picked up on it if you listened to the interview, but I was so proud because we had a bunch of agency members fill out his big questionnaire, and he compared agency members' stats against the industry stats. And what he said was that agency members retain their clients longer. Yeah, and I was really, really excited to hear that.Lesley Logan 24:49 Yeah and it's because our Agency members, even their process to become a client of theirs sets them up so that they're not getting these crazy wackos that just want to bounce from place to place. They are actually set up to make sure that they are the right client, they're advertised in the right place. One of our members is actually changing her website to being specifically their Pilates studio for women over 40.Brad Crowell 25:15 Cool.Lesley Logan 25:15 Right? Because she's like, "I'm tired of getting calls from 20-year-olds who are comparing me to this other studio over here. That's not what we offer. And even if they can't afford my intro offer, they don't like the classes because they're not for Pilates princesses." And it's like, right. So, there are women who are fucking tired, like, "I want to go to Pilates, but all these Pilates princesses are pictured." And so this client of ours has women over 40 pictured. That's going to matter so much to them, right. And so I am so proud of our agency members. They have solid businesses, and you have a business you can depend on, you're not going off what the trends are. And I really think that right now the Pilates bubble is bursting in several ways. One, Hailey Bieber just announced that too many studios are out there, and they're crappy teachers. Hailey Bieber wrote this. And then The Guardian did an entire article about how people are getting hurt all the time doing Pilates. And here's the thing: if you were doing real Pilates, you could not get hurt if you were actually ready for the exercise that you're doing. Most of the time, people are getting injuries because they're in large group classes that are not on real reformers, and or their teacher was not trained thoroughly enough, and so the teacher's boss is all about how fun the class is and how entertained and how packed the classes are versus the results that they're getting. And I think Julian would back me up on this. Going back to the transformation you want to have and the investment you have to have: I have to get you that transformation, which means you have to show up, but I have to have the teachers that are quality. And so I actually think between the recession that we are all expecting to show up and the fact that people are not going to see the results they want by studios where the people aren't trained fully.Brad Crowell 27:04 Yeah.Lesley Logan 27:05 I do see the pendulum swinging now. How far is it? It's not going to swing that far if you are a solid studio that truly knows what you're doing and why you do it, and you're not begging people to take class for you by offering it for free, but instead you're like, "If you want to participate here, here's how often you have to come, here's the transformation we can provide you, and here's how we do that." You come every other week, I can't get you shit.Brad Crowell 27:26 Yeah, and being real with them. That's where that confidence comes into play, having the confidence to know that the universe will present you what you need when you need it. I remember trying to convince clients, I remember how much time I spent trying to convince clients that we were the right agency for them, or coaching group for them, or web development company for them, or whatever. And it always felt like I'm really good at that, but then we would land a client and they were just the fucking worst client. They never delivered the photos that they said that they had, or they never gave me copy, and so ultimately I'd start this project, we would take a deposit, start the project, and then get stuck, right? Or we would have clients come in, they'd pay us one time for coaching, and then they would never participate, and then they would disappear. And that just felt like such a waste of effort on both our time and theirs.Lesley Logan 28:25 Totally.Brad Crowell 28:26 That time payment didn't feel worth it. It certainly wasn't satisfying. We didn't help them, right? And so.Lesley Logan 28:31 It's also why we've even changed how agency operates now, because it definitely is only attractive to people who are willing to actually do the work.Brad Crowell 28:39 Yeah.Lesley Logan 28:39 You have to do the work. You can't just do calls with me or Brad every quarter and whine and whatever, and then go, "Well, I got this action, I can go make a checklist, and I can feel like I did something new." No, Agency now requires you to ask a lot of questions, put your problem in there, go watch a course, come to an office hour, ask which course to watch, ask what next steps to take, like, you actually have to do the action. And the reason I love that more, even though it's definitely not a sexier sell, is that what we do actually fucking works. I know that, and the people who've listened to us have been with us for years, and when they do the work, it works. Period, end of story. And we recently were at an event, and I saw one of our ex-Agency members who paid because they wanted the transformation, but didn't want to do the work. And then this person would also do the things I said not to do all the time, and then they would come back with a problem. And it's like, "Okay, with the contract you've already signed, there's not a lot I can do, because you made a contract without asking our opinions, and then you signed it." And that person is like, "Yeah, I've just been so overwhelmed, and I'm closing these two studios, I'm doing this, I'm just downsizing a lot." And I just wanted to go, "I fucking told you." Yeah, but here's the thing: I have courage and conviction in how we coach and who we are for, and I know what we can do with people who will do the work. And that means, though, you have to also have courage and conviction in what you offer as a studio. And if that means telling someone, "I actually don't work with clients who are in and out every single week, unless they're gonna do homework, and if you're gonna do homework, it means you have to do it three to four days a week." You have to tell people, "I just don't work with those people, because I don't want to take your money, that's dirty money." Any studio that takes your money and tells you that they can get you what you want, and you're only going to come in once a week or every couple of weeks, is lying to you. If you educate people on that, I'm telling you, you will get a great client. And here's why I can tell you this with my own courage and conviction, with another story: I used to sell a teacher training program for Equinox, and I would always ask people, "Where are you in your research process? Oh, I'm the first person you're talking to? Great, let me explain to you how training programs are not apples to apples. Let me explain to you what it is that you need to be looking for, what questions to be asking." By the way, these are all in my book. "What questions to be asking, what you need to be experiencing, what these things are. When you go and look to other places, I want you asking these questions, because if they don't have answers that work with your life, it does not matter the price, you will be stuck. So I can tell you right now, based on the local programs that I know that exist, we are more expensive on paper, but here's where we solve a lot of those problems. Why don't you go back, do your research, call me back, let's do another thing." I could follow up with them, and there'd be people who say, "You're too expensive, that's too much time, I can't make blah blah blah." And then they would come back and they'd sign up, because they would go do the research, and they would realize that on paper, while we're more expensive, we actually have more things. So you have to have that with people, because if someone's gonna price shop, they're gonna price shop, but I can tell you why. "Oh, well, we're more expensive than them because we're three people, not 12." Hello, educate them. They don't know.Brad Crowell 31:53 Yeah, they don't know. Lesley Logan 31:55 So you're getting resentful of them, but they don't know what they don't know. You have to say.Brad Crowell 31:58 Yeah can also say something like, "Our teachers have 600 hours of certifications under their belt," or something like that.Lesley Logan 32:04 Yeah, when people would do that when we were at the studios, like, "Oh, well, this is more expensive than the Pilates across the street." "Yeah, well, those teachers can only teach on one item, they can only teach on a Reformer, and that's all they're trained on. These are comprehensively trained teachers. These people did at least nine months to a year of training, they spent $8,000-plus, and they have access to all this equipment to get you the goals you want. But if you have to go off of that investment, I get it, go do it over there." Anyways, well, I could keep talking for hours, but we should get to the Be It Action Items, because clearly, I love Julian's data, and I love that we can help people. Knowing what the data is really helps us understand where they are in their business and what they have to focus on. Because you're not going to focus on new clients and retention at the same time. If you have great retention, you don't need new clients.Brad Crowell 32:51 Right.Lesley Logan 32:52 You know, you don't need as many anyways. Okay.Brad Crowell 32:54 Yeah. Well, stick around, we'll be right back. All right. So, finally, let's talk about those Be It Action Items: what bold, executable, intrinsic, or targeted action items can we take away from your conversation with Julian Barnes? He said on client commitment and transformation, Julian said that the first step in the transformation is transforming your daily routine. He emphasized that people need to adopt a new routine, one that says, "I'm coming on Tuesday morning, Thursday after work, and Saturday morning. I'm committed to this change," right? For studio owners, you are more likely to be successful if you present a prescription that gives your client the opportunity to adopt a new routine from day one.Lesley Logan 33:41 Yeah.Brad Crowell 33:41 Right? Like, think about it, if you've got a person coming in the door and you try to get them to make a change, let's say you've had a client for a really long time, and then you try to get them to make a change, do they make the change? Very rarely, right? People get annoyed at change, they get frustrated at change, they like what they like, they like what they have. But if you set that precedent right out of the gate, this is how people get change here.Lesley Logan 34:08 Yes, right, I love that. Well, also, I had a client who was always late, and they'd always apologize, and I had a client before them and after them, and I never gave them more time, and they weren't asking. I said, "Hey, don't apologize to me. This is on you. If you only want a 45-minute session, I have no problem with that. But if you want the full session, you have to ask yourself why you don't feel worthy enough to have a full session so that you can figure out how you have to leave work early. But that's the change you have to make. It has to be based on what you want, it can't be on me." And you know what? She was never late again.Brad Crowell 34:41 Yeah, it's a great example, because what Julian said, which I thought was kind of snuck in there again, he said, "Keep your power."Lesley Logan 34:52 Yeah.Brad Crowell 34:53 Right? We have power. The power is that we are the authority figure, right? And I mean, not in a tyrant kind of a way, but you can say to someone, "This is how it works here, this is how we see people have success here, and this is what we recommend for you."Lesley Logan 35:10 I think we'll just go into my action takeaway, which is like, if you're actively listening to what they have to say, you literally hear what they are, and you use those words, and you connect them to how your services are offered, then you have to step into the authority, because they came to your house.Brad Crowell 35:26 Yeah.Lesley Logan 35:26 If this person came to your house, and you are a "no shoes in the house" person, would you just go, "I guess I'll let them wear shoes"? No, this is a no-shoes house, right? It's a no-shoes house. So, if you are like... I always tell people, take my shoes off, we don't, but you're the person who does, how come you can't be that at the business where you actually are an authority? This is where, I think a lot of people have doubt about the benefits that they can have, because they themselves have forgotten their own practice.Brad Crowell 35:53 Sure.Lesley Logan 35:54 And they themselves have not made any clients actually have consistency, and so they're not actually having the benefits to back up their power. But you have 100 years of Joe Pilates's work working to go off of. So if you are a new teacher, you have 100 years, literally 100 years. This is the year, this year is 100 years that he came to the United States to go off of this, and then you go... I'll give you the advice that I was given, and we'll wrap this up. My first week as a teacher at a studio at Equinox, this teacher said to me, "The best advice they can give you is to get one client and make them your own, like, make them obsessed with you, and you'll have all the clients." And I made those clients obsessed with me, and they did start getting results, results that they weren't getting with their other Pilates instructor, because I got them from... right, because that other Pilates instructor let them come and go. So, please, I was like, "Nope, you have to make up that session you're about to miss next Sunday. I'll see you on Friday. Let's do it. Let's go. I'll make the time." And it's because, one, I need the money, but two, I listened to that advice, and that advice gave me conviction and authority to sit here today and tell you, if you make people be consistent, they get results.Brad Crowell 37:05 Yeah.Lesley Logan 37:06 So be the boss. They came to you.Brad Crowell 37:08 Yeah, they came to you. Don't give away your power.Lesley Logan 37:11 If you need help with that, if you need these pep talks, you should just go to agency.Brad Crowell 37:15 Yeah, this couldn't be an easier segue here. Lesley Logan 37:19 I mean, so profitablepilates.com/agency go there. We have for sure, at the time that we're recording this, one amazing way to work with us. It's quite possible the second way, which is a secret, is available. I'm not sure.Brad Crowell 37:31 It's possible.Lesley Logan 37:32 possible. And if you don't see it, then you book a call with Brad, and you ask him which one is best for you and what's going on there. But we can help you. We can help you.Brad Crowell 37:40 We can certainly support you with these things.Lesley Logan 37:42 Yep.Brad Crowell 37:42 And you can keep your clients longer, too.Lesley Logan 37:44 Yeah, you get all the benefits that our clients get.Brad Crowell 37:47 Yeah.Lesley Logan 37:47 And also, guess what? You get a predictable, boring business, which is so nice. Go be entertained by your streamers, not by your business. Okay, life's stressful enough. I don't need an up and down on my business to be what's going on, what I'm going my vibes off of. Okay, I'm Lesley Logan.Brad Crowell 38:04 And I'm Brad Crowell.Lesley Logan 38:05 Thank you so much. I hope this was fun. It was an interesting deep dive into the industry, and Julian, his company does some really great work that is on the data. So, BFS is the company. Holographic Reality, DNA Memory & Future Timelines with Geraldine Orozco | Soul Elevation Join Kara Goodwin as she hosts Geraldine Orozco, who explores the holographic universe and how our DNA, through epigenetics, influences memory recall. This discussion offers fascinating insights into the creation of our reality and helps us understand consciousness on a deeper level. Discover how our experiences shape our perception in this thought-provoking episode. Geraldine shares her background in meditation, Qi Gong, pranic healing, hypnotherapy, and epigenetic psychotherapy, describing a 2013 retreat that led her to recover memories from the womb and ancestral lineage, followed by a multidimensional experience involving tall ET beings and consciousness travel to the Pleiades. She explains emotions as bioelectrical charges that store and crystallize trauma, how healing involves alchemizing memories to a neutral "zero point," and links these ideas to morphogenetic fields, wave genetics, and bioelectrical memory research. We also discuss the "matrix" construct of reality, the three bloodlines that created our human origins, free will, and two future timelines spanning transhumanist technocracy versus regenerative, nature-aligned technology and energy medicine. https://www.geraldineorozco.com/

What happens when you realize no one is coming to do what you know needs to be done?In this King Hero interview, I'm joined by Ben of Cambridge, whose path led him from quiet observation to direct action during the rollout of 5G technology in the UK.After researching the technology for himself and concluding that it posed serious concerns, Ben chose to act. He equipped himself with the evidence he believed he needed to stand on firm legal ground, taking responsibility for his own decisions and accepting the consequences that followed. His actions resulted in two arrests and no charges being laid, reinforcing his conviction that ordinary people can learn, prepare, and stand for what they believe. Our conversation, however, goes beyond activism. We'll explore the inner journey that accompanies taking meaningful action—the place where fear, purpose, courage, and trust intersect.Inside this episode, we discuss:what inspired Ben to take actionpreparing to stand in law and personal responsibilitythe experience of being arrested and what it taught himthe relationship between fear and couragdiscovering purpose through lived experiencelearning to trust silence and inner guidancehow the Hero's Journey unfolds when no path has been laid before youEvery Hero's Journey reaches a point where certainty disappears and something deeper begins to lead.About BenFor Ben, that place became silence.Join us for a conversation about courage, responsibility, purpose, and the unexpected gifts that can emerge when we trust the path unfolding before us.Ben from Cambridge, UK, decided to take action against the rollout of 5G technology in his local area when he realized no one else was going to do it for him. After researching what he believed were the dangers of the technology being installed and concluding that it was military weapons technology, he prepared himself with the evidence he believed was necessary to defend his actions in law.He was arrested twice and not charged, an experience that strengthened his belief that others can also learn to stand on informed conviction.Following a profound dark night of the soul and a period of purposelessness, Ben came to recognize the gifts hidden within his journey. Today he speaks about allowing fear to become a guide rather than something to escape, and about finding purpose through direct experience.Stay tuned about his adventures:https://t.me/TrustTheSilenceFor more from Beth, her books, her social media links, Telegram Groups, and to apply to become a member of the House of Free Will Ministry visit: https://linktr.ee/bethmartens If we're just meeting...I'm Beth Martens—founder of the House of Free Will, pattern hunter, archetype reader, podcaster, author, coach trainer, and business coach. My calling has truly been a life-or-death matter. After a decade as a corporate VP in my family's firm, eight transformative trips to India, and a three-year battle with cancer nearly 25 years ago, I turned to archetypes and deep deprogramming work to save my life.Despite doing everything wrong based on limited health knowledge, I accessed the hidden inner roots of what was keeping me sick, stuck, and unconscious. Letting those patterns go changed everything. I went from dying to living almost overnight.Today, I help people who love truth more than their beliefs—people who want to serve with their life's work and walk their Hero's Journey—to deprogram the beast system from within and stop unconsciously feeding the forces that harm us.I host the King Hero interview series, where I spotlight leaders, entrepreneurs, movement makers, and lovers of freedom who are carving new paths in a world that desperately needs them. And I also share my own voice, insights, and stories through my new solo podcast, Beth of Fresh Air.

Anthony Freda drew one of the most recognizable cartoon characters in advertising history — and illustrated the op-ed pages that helped sell a war. He was paid extraordinarily well to move product, opinion, and entire populations. Then he walked away.In this episode, Dr. Roger McFillin sits down with the illustrator-turned-whistleblower to trace the hidden machinery of persuasion — from Edward Bernays and the "engineering of consent" to the four simple tools used to manufacture belief, sell wars, and convince a nation that its own sickness was health. But this conversation doesn't stop at media criticism. What begins as an insider's confession becomes something far stranger: a story about fear as a weapon, technology as a delivery system, and a spiritual war most people never realize they're inside.
“There must be some way out of here, said the joker to the thief. The thief, he kindly spoke; It's an eminence front – It's an eminence front, it's a put-on – People forget.” Crrow777“The news slows – People forget – The shares crash, hopes are dashed – People forget… forget they're hiding…” “But you (more...)
Welcome back to Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu. In today's episode, Tom Bilyeu dives deep into one of the most provocative questions facing science and philosophy: Do we really have free will, or are we all just highly sophisticated NPCs—non-player characters—running a program inside a vast, resource-efficient simulation? Drawing on groundbreaking neuroscience experiments, the story of Phineas Gage, quantum mechanics, and the work of leading thinkers like Robert Sapolsky, Tom Bilyeu challenges everything we think we know about choice, consciousness, and the true nature of reality. But this isn't an episode about nihilism. Instead, Tom Bilyeu reveals why embracing the truth of a stochastically deterministic universe can actually make life feel more meaningful, freeing us from the weight of the past and inspiring us to make the most of every moment—programmed or not. Philosopher Stefan Molyneux questions if sin is God's design in this 31 May 2026 Sunday call-in, tying theology on temptation and free will to how childhood abuse like spanking kills self-empathy and breeds excuses for harm. He pushes actual virtuous behavior over belief, money as freedom through self-control instead of treating it like a drug, and protecting kids to break the cycle.GET FREEDOMAIN MERCH! https://shop.freedomain.com/SUBSCRIBE TO ME ON X! https://x.com/StefanMolyneuxFollow me on Youtube! https://www.youtube.com/@freedomain1GET MY NEW BOOK 'PEACEFUL PARENTING', THE INTERACTIVE PEACEFUL PARENTING AI, AND THE FULL AUDIOBOOK!https://peacefulparenting.com/Join the PREMIUM philosophy community on the web for free!Subscribers get 12 HOURS on the "Truth About the French Revolution," multiple interactive multi-lingual philosophy AIs trained on thousands of hours of my material - as well as AIs for Real-Time Relationships, Bitcoin, Peaceful Parenting, and Call-In Shows! You also receive private livestreams, HUNDREDS of exclusive premium shows, early release podcasts, the 22 Part History of Philosophers series and much more!See you soon!https://freedomain.locals.com/support/promo/UPB2025
