1. U.S. Government & Political Context The podcast opens with a brief discussion of the government shutdown that ended quickly, and is evidence of political posturing rather than substantive conflict. The transition sets the stage for broader national security concerns rather than domestic legislative issues. 2. Emergence of the Polisario Front as a National Security Threat The Polisario Front, a separatist group in Western Sahara founded in 1973, is presented as an underrecognized but growing terrorist threat. Iran is funding, training, and supplying the group, attempting to turn it into a West African proxy similar to the Houthis. Alleged activities include: Collaboration with Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Hezbollah Use of drones, weapons transfers, and regional destabilization Labeling the group as a terrorist organization is essential, this represents a dangerous blind spot in U.S. counterterrorism policy. 3. Accusation of Institutional Caution and “Deep State” Resistance State Department officials are portrayed as intentionally evasive during Senate testimony. The analysis claims this reluctance stems from: Ongoing diplomatic efforts in Africa Desire to avoid disrupting negotiations involving Morocco and Algeria 4. Iran at a “Tipping Point” Iran has become internally fragile, facing: Widespread protests Mass casualties allegedly ranging from 10,000–40,000 protesters The Iranian regime’s actions (e.g., drones near U.S. naval assets, attempted tanker seizures) are interpreted as provocations meant to rally domestic support and distract from internal collapse.: Negotiations with Iran are a delaying tactic The U.S. should support Iranian protesters directly, including by providing weapons Regime change is framed as: Preferable if carried out by Iranians themselves Potentially the largest positive national security shift since the Cold War if successful. 5. Global Domino Effect Narrative Iran is grouped with Venezuela and Cuba as regimes allegedly near collapse. Simultaneous democratic transitions in all three would represent a historic geopolitical realignment in favor of U.S. interests. 6. Netflix–Warner Bros. Merger & National Security Concerns The proposed $83 billion Netflix–Warner Bros. merger is criticized on two main grounds: Cultural and ideological influence The entertainment industry is portrayed as overwhelmingly left‑leaning and hostile to conservative or pro‑American perspectives. Concern that increased market power could amplify ideological “propaganda.” Foreign influence Alarm over foreign (especially Middle Eastern and Chinese) capital shaping American entertainment content. Content has been altered or censored to appease foreign governments. The merger is not merely an antitrust issue but as a matter of national sovereignty and cultural security. A few years ago, Shabaz Ali was a chemistry teacher in Blackburn. Today, he's one of the internet's most beloved creators, best known as Shabaz Says, with millions of fans and a knack for skewering the most outrageous (and often tasteless) displays of online excess. Since quitting the day job, Shabaz has launched a podcast, performed at the Edinburgh Fringe and published his book I'm Rich, You're Poor. Beneath the humour though, there's always been something more serious at play: a sharp commentary on the psychological erosion that comes from spending too much of our lives online. In this episode, we talk about Shabaz's upbringing, being bullied at school, how his taxi-driver Dad didn't even realise his son was famous until recently and why no-one should ever spend £10,000 on an outfit. ✨ IN THIS EPISODE: 00:00 Introduction 03:03 The Impact of Social Media on Youth 05:14 Navigating Imposter Syndrome and Success 10:53 Embracing Authenticity and Overcoming Criticism 12:46 Growing Up in Blackburn 15:45 Challenges of Intersectional Identity 22:36 Family Perspectives and Cultural Expectations 24:04 Struggles with Poverty 25:20 Empathy 30:15 From Teacher to Social Media Star 31:24 Unexpected Career in the Hospital Morgue 33:38 Finding Viral Success Online 37:16 Representation and Finding Your Voice
Welcome, To A Dark Minisode. On Today's Minisode, a lifelong sceptic recounts how a series of increasingly disturbing incidents inside a shared home slowly eroded his relationship, his certainty, and ultimately his sense of reality. What began as whispered sounds and strange coincidences escalated into moments that challenged everything he thought he understood about grief, love, and the unseen. This is not a story about chasing ghosts, but about what happens when belief is dismissed.Stay safe,Kevin. We're giving a full weeks trial of our Patreon away! Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Distraction Pieces Podcast with Scroobius Pip!This week Pip is joined by model, activist and general whirlwind of greatness JESS MEGAN!A deluxe edition of the podcast this week as Pip catches up with Jess, which as you will bear witness to, is no average catch up. While they worked together on the 'Dark Summer' Speech Development merch shoot back in 2016, which seems like mere months ago, that was an entire decade ago it turns out. And as with life in general, it also turns out that an almost insurmountable itinerary can intervene. In Jess's case, without treading on any of what you're about to hear, there's been an immense amount of grief, varying degrees of addiction, depression, and in case you need any sensitivity warnings, there is frank discussion of suicide - so please know that before you begin this episode.Of course, among the heavier elements of the conversation, a huge amount of light enters - Jess and Pip are lovely people and you're in safe hands, as hopefully you'll feel aware of by now. There's a lovely balance of the fun and the far more serious, including a lot of fascinating chat regarding social media and the like. But importantly, even if this situation doesn't mirror one of your own, there will likely be familiar moments or perhaps some which might be of help for others going through it. However you meet it, you'll emerge at the end in a different spot, and hopefully have found a glorious new friend in the bargain. Psychologists Off The Clock: A Psychology Podcast About The Science And Practice Of Living Well
Caregiving is often framed as a burden, but what if it's also one of the most meaningful ways we come to know ourselves?Emily sits down with acclaimed journalist and cultural critic Elissa Strauss for this episode to discuss her extensive work on the politics and culture of parenting and caregiving, which has appeared in publications like The Atlantic and The New York Times. Centering on her new book, When You Care: The Unexpected Magic of Caring for Others, they challenge feminist notions that have undervalued caregiving and explore how caregiving can enrich one's sense of self. You'll hear about the philosophical foundations of care ethics and how caregiving for various dependents, not just children, brings profound personal growth, scientific research on caregiver well-being, the importance of male caregivers, and also the need for systemic support for caregivers.Listen and Learn: How redefining caregiving, not as a burden, but as a powerful source of meaning and self-expansion, might change what we think feminism, motherhood, and what a “full” life actually look likeHow caregiving across parenting, disability, and aging becomes an intense, surprising mirror that reshapes identity and meaning in ways most of us never expectThe research that shows why caregiving doesn't have to wear you down, and under certain conditions, it can actually make you healthier and even help you live longerHow one husband turned the challenges of caregiving into moments of quiet activism, love, and connectionHow does caring for others bring meaning, even when day-to-day life feels messy? What if the real barrier for working caregivers isn't just the glass ceiling but the glass door separating home and work, and how breaking it could change everything we value about care? Why men's brains change when they care for others, how caregiving reshapes masculinity, and what it really means for dads todayWhy caring for those closest to us isn't just personal—it's a radical philosophical lens that could change how we think about society itselfResources: When You Care: The Unexpected Magic of Caring for Others https://bookshop.org/a/30734/9781982169282Elisa's Website: https://www.elissastrauss.com/Elisa's Substack: https://elissa.substack.com/Connect with Elisa on Social Media: https://www.facebook.com/elissa.strauss.7/https://www.instagram.com/elissaavery/https://www.linkedin.com/in/elissa-strauss-742720112 About Elissa StraussElissa Strauss is a journalist, essayist, and cultural critic who has been writing about the politics and culture of parenting and caregiving for more than fifteen years. Launch Your Box Podcast with Sarah Williams | Start, Launch, and Grow Your Subscription Box
In this week's Ask Sarah episode of The Launch Your Box Podcast, I'm answering a question I hear all the time from subscription box owners who are doing the work - posting consistently, showing up - but still feel like no one's seeing it. Staci asked: “How else can I get followers on Facebook and Instagram? I'm currently posting on my Facebook page but haven't done any ads yet because of my budget. What else can I do to get followers for free?” If you're growing on a tight budget (or no budget at all), this episode is for you. First, Let's Normalize Where You Are I want you to know this upfront: if you're showing up and posting but growth feels slow, you're not doing anything wrong. Organic growth is slower, but it's absolutely possible. And you are not alone in this stage. Why the Right Followers Matter More Than More Followers Before we talk tactics, I ground this conversation in something important:It's not about big numbers. It's about aligned followers. Those people who could actually become subscribers or customers. A small, engaged audience will always outperform a large, disconnected one. 5 Organic Ways to Grow (No Ads Required) 1. Start Conversations in Your ContentInstead of just showcasing your box, invite people to engage. Polls, this-or-that questions, and simple prompts work incredibly well. Example: “Would you rather get Product A or Product B in your next box?” Engagement helps your content get seen. And it's free. 2. Show Up in Facebook Groups (Strategically)Join 2–3 groups where your ideal customer already hangs out. Don't sell. Be helpful. When people see your value in comments, they naturally click through to learn more about you. 3. Share on Your Personal Profile (Gently)Your personal network already knows and trusts you so let them in on what you're building. Share behind-the-scenes moments, your why, or sneak peeks, not just polished product posts. 4. Collaborate with Other Creators or Small BusinessesCollaboration is one of the fastest free growth strategies out there. Joint giveaways, co-hosted Lives, or simple cross-promotions introduce you to the right audience without spending a dollar. 5. Use Reels and Live Video (Keep It Simple)Both Facebook and Instagram prioritize video, especially Live video. Go LIVE while packing boxes, sharing a theme, or answering FAQs. It doesn't have to be fancy. Bonus: you can repurpose Lives into reels, clips, and stories for extra mileage. You don't need a huge audience to win. You need trust, consistency, and connection with the right people. Organic growth takes time, but when you stay visible and intentional, you're building a foundation that lasts. Join me for this Ask Sarah episode where I break down exactly how to grow your audience organically, even with a limited budget and how to focus on growth that actually supports your business. You know the pattern is there. You've seen it loop enough times to wonder if the universe is taking notes. If you've ever felt like certain doors refuse to open, or open too easily at exactly the wrong moment...this conversation reveals what's been quietly influencing your choices before you even made them.Episode Overview Astrologer and intuitive guide Gabrielle Celeste joins Will and Karen to explore how consciousness, astrology, and subconscious patterns shape the decisions we think we're making freely. This isn't about horoscopes or vague predictions. It's about understanding why specific themes keep surfacing in your relationships, career, and timing, and what your birth chart reveals about the patterns you're unconsciously running.Gabrielle shares her journey from corporate fall guy to full-time astrologer, explains how your chart functions as a cosmic roadmap (not a prison sentence), and breaks down the difference between sun, moon, and rising signs in terms anyone can grasp. She also delivers a sobering forecast for 2026, including a February week that demands your attention.Questions This Episode AnswersIs your birth chart a cosmic blueprint or a predetermined sentence? Gabrielle explains what your natal chart actually captures, and whether you're stuck with what it reveals. Why does knowing you're a Gemini (or any sun sign) tell you almost nothing about yourself? Discover which of the "big three" astrological placements reveals the truest expression of your soul, and why most people are reading astrology backwards. How do professional astrologers actually see what's coming? Gabrielle reveals how she blends chart readings with intuition, numerology, and shamanic training, and shares examples of eerily specific predictions that came true years later. What separates ethical spiritual practitioners from the grifters? Hear Gabrielle's unfiltered take on what's required before you're qualified to hold space for others...and why bypassing your own shadow work harms the people you claim to serve. What astrological events in 2026 should actually be on your radar? Gabrielle breaks down the most significant transits of the year, including a cosmically loaded week in February and why October/November might echo unfinished business from 2018.How can you tell when you're resisting alignment versus actually lacking it? Gabrielle offers a surprisingly simple divination tool you already have...no chart required. Why This Conversation Is Different Gabrielle doesn't sell certainty or comfort. She acknowledges the paradox of free will versus cosmic influence without pretending to have all the answers. She's transparent about what astrology can't predict (and what she refuses to touch, like exact death dates). She calls out grifters in the spiritual space who chase profit over purpose. And she frames astrology not as mystical fortune-telling, but as a practical lens for understanding subconscious blocks, timing friction, and recurring life patterns; concepts skeptics can respect even if they don't "believe."This episode avoids both spiritual bypassing and cynical dismissiveness. It's grounded, curious, and refreshingly honest about the limits of any single system. For the Skeptic Still Reading You don't have to believe in astrology for patterns to exist in your life. You don't have to accept fate to recognize that certain themes keep surfacing. Gabrielle's work, whether you interpret it as cosmic influence or psychological archetype, offers a framework for seeing what you've been unconsciously repeating. If nothing else, it's a mirror. And mirrors don't lie, even when the reflection makes you uncomfortable.Curiosity isn't gullibility. Exploring astrology doesn't mean abandoning critical thinking. It means asking: What if there's a structure I haven't noticed yet?Listen If You Want ToUnderstand why astrology goes far deeper than daily horoscopesLearn what your rising sign, moon sign, and houses actually meanHear how one woman went from corporate scandal to professional astrologerGet a heads-up on 2026's most intense astrological windowsExplore the intersection of intuition, shadow work, and consciousnessQuestion whether free will and cosmic blueprints can coexistTopics: spiritual awakening, astrology, consciousness, intuition, natal chart, shadow work, metaphysics, soul purpose, modern spirituality, Saturn return, subconscious patterns Speical Offer:Use the code "20AGUA" for 20% off any of the services listed on her website.Connect with Gabrielle CelesteWebsite: https://www.aguaastrology.comSpiritual Sisters Podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/76R1e2m64NVuAzfp9cBuOXInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/aguaastrologyListener Survey:Help shape the future of the Skeptic Metaphysicians. Supporting articles about this and much more from Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast in platforms like Medium , Blogspot and Linkedin . A Life of Service, A Line-of-Duty Death On April 12, 2024, Officer Ross Bartlett was conducting a traffic stop on southbound Highway 77, just south of Ceresco, Nebraska. He was seated in his patrol car when a pickup truck struck his vehicle from behind, forcing it into the car he had stopped. Bystanders immediately rushed in, attempting life-saving measures. Officer Bartlett was airlifted to Bryan Health West Campus, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the stopped vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Available for free on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast website, also on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Youtube and most major Podcast networks. Investigators later determined the pickup truck driver was driving distracted. “My father was doing his job, protecting others,” Tiffany said during the podcast. “He never made it home.” Her Police Father Was Killed While On The Job: A Daughter's Voice, A Family's Fight, and a Mission to Help Others. The driver was charged with felony motor vehicle homicide. On Oct. 29, 2025, a Lancaster County District Court judge found him guilty after he changed his plea from not guilty to no contest. He was sentenced to more than two years in jail, and his driver's license was revoked for two years. Thirty Years of Service, and a Family Left Behind Officer Bartlett dedicated 30 years to law enforcement, serving seven years with the Ceresco Police Department, while also working concurrently for seven years as an investigator with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services. His career included service with the Valentine Police Department, Boone County Sheriff's Office, Madison Police Department, Madison County Sheriff's Office, and Newman Grove Police Department. Beyond policing, he also served as a volunteer firefighter with the Ceresco Fire Department. “My dad lived a life of service,” Tiffany said. “He gave everything to his community.” But according to Tiffany, when her family needed support the most, it never came. “The Ceresco Police Department totally dropped the ball in assisting our family,” she said. “And they still do.” Her Police Father Was Killed While On The Job: A Daughter's Voice, A Family's Fight, and a Mission to Help Others. Available for free on their website and streaming on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Youtube and other podcast platforms. From Personal Tragedy to Purpose Out of profound death and loss, Tiffany Yant turned pain into purpose. She is now the Chief Operating Officer of GIVE BLUE HOPE, a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization with a clear and urgent mission. GIVE BLUE HOPE exists to help bridge the financial gap for the immediate families of Law Enforcement Officers, Corrections Officers, and First Responders who are feloniously assaulted and killed in the line of duty. “When an officer is killed, benefits don't arrive overnight,” Tiffany explained. “Families still have mortgages, groceries, funerals, and bills, right now.” The organization's charitable gifts are not meant to replace pensions or benevolent benefits, but to support families during the critical months before those benefits are awarded. “We step in when families are at their most vulnerable,” she said. “That gap can be devastating.” It is discussed across News platforms and shared on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Apple, and Spotify, where true crime audiences continue to get their content. Sharing the Story Across Media Platforms Tiffany continues to share her father's story and the mission of GIVE BLUE HOPE across Social Media, including The Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast's Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other locations. Her Police Father Was Killed While On The Job: A Daughter's Voice, A Family's Fight, and a Mission to Help Others. Her appearance on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show is part of that effort, to educate the public, hold systems accountable, and ensure fallen officers are never reduced to statistics. “If telling my dad's story helps one family survive what we went through,” Tiffany said, “then his death won't be in vain.” You can find the show on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, X (formerly Twitter), and LinkedIn, as well as read companion articles and updates on Medium, Blogspot, YouTube, and even IMDB. Looking Forward GIVE BLUE HOPE is actively seeking to partner with other organizations that share the same vision: standing beside the families of fallen heroes when they need it most. “We're stronger together,” Tiffany emphasized. “And these families deserve nothing less.” Her Police Father Was Killed While On The Job, but his legacy lives on through his daughter's voice, her advocacy, and a mission born from sacrifice, love, and unwavering resolve. 1. Entertainment as National Security American film and television are portrayed as a strategic asset that shapes global perceptions of freedom, democracy, and U.S. values. Weakening U.S. media companies allow authoritarian nations, particularly China, to fill the cultural vacuum with propaganda. 2. China as the Primary Adversary China is repeatedly the main threat due to: State control over media Global investment in influence campaigns Censorship of American films (e.g., Top Gun: Maverick being blocked over a Taiwan patch). TikTok is an example of why foreign ownership of media platforms is viewed as dangerous. 3. Merger Framed as Pro‑American Jobs The entertainment industry is supporting hundreds of thousands of middle‑class American jobs across multiple states. Netflix’s $1 billion New Jersey studio investment is used as evidence that large, stable companies create domestic employment. The argument asserts that scale = stability, and stability prevents layoffs. 4. Pro‑Consolidation Argument Unlike traditional antitrust concerns, the author claims this merger: Does not reduce competition Actually protects U.S. production from outsourcing Helps resist foreign-backed acquisitions Consolidation is defensive, not monopolistic. 5. Opposition to Foreign Capital in Media Strong concern is raised over foreign government money (Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Qatar) potentially entering U.S. media. Such investments are not neutral and are intended to influence narratives and public opinion. 6. Historical Framing Ronald Reagan is cited: Culture and storytelling were weapons in the Cold War Media independence is essential to freedom The merger is consistent with Reagan-era American leadership principles. 7. He also reveals his new clothing and skateboard brand, "Snake Pit," and his focus on signing the next generation of Atlanta artists. We dive deep into the mindset required to win today, from discipline and eliminating blame to finding opportunity in confusion. You'll learn:Why Rich the Kid's new album is a global, universal project inspired by African and Latin culture. My predictions on the next massive waves in business: Live Shopping, Live Streaming, and AI.Why "losers" are the only people not excited about change. Why discipline, not information, is the key to winning in business and life.
On today's episode of “Fearless,” Jason connects Patriots owner Robert Kraft's Hall of Fame snub to DEI's damage to merit. Kraft and his former coach Bill Belichick were both passed over for induction into the Hall. Their resumes as owner and coach, respectively, are as good as we've ever seen. But Hall voters apparently prioritized lesser candidates (L.C. Greenwood, Ken Anderson, and Roger Craig) out of fear that they would never make it into the Hall. The Spiel looks at the latest Epstein document dump and why each release manages to embarrass powerful people while resolving almost nothing. With millions of files still unreleased, disclosure itself becomes a spectacle that displaces accountability. Then, David Greene joins to talk about an act that may be either civic heroism or mild insanity: helping turn Lancaster's 230-year-old newspaper into a nonprofit newsroom built for a digital future. Plus, the arrest of Jill Biden's former husband and a mini history lesson on the semi-legendary the Delaware bar he once owned. This week I'm joined by my good friend Chenell Basilio, creator of Growth in Reverse and one of the most thorough newsletter analysts in the space. We spent over an hour diving deep into what's really working in email right now — from the death of newsletter hype to the opportunity hiding in recommendation networks. Chenell shared her framework of "insanely valuable content" (the one thing that matters more than any growth hack), and we got surprisingly honest about using AI to create short-form content from our long-form work. We also tackled the big question: how do you grow an email list if you refuse to use social media? Turns out there are more options than you think — from public homework challenges to old-school guest posting making a comeback. Plus, I introduced a new segment called "Unhinged Questions" where we played kiss, marry, kill with email platforms. As social media seems to descend into a dystopia of tech overlords dominating algorithms, our attention, and our self-esteem, it's worth asking: should we really stay on these platforms... and why???KP Pilley — the social strategist behind the popular "Nine Grid" offer — joins me to talk about taking your power back on social media, building ethical content worlds, and making it stupid-easy for people to hire you without posting 30 Reels a month.Themes from the episode:The Nine Grid: Your Digital Bulletin Board (Not Your Full-Time Job: Instagram's become this weird proof-of-existence thing, but the nine grid lets you treat your profile like a coffee shop bulletin board — nine strategic posts, then peace TF out. You don't need to live there 24/7 to run a successful business.Instagram's Chokehold on Our Worthiness: Let's be honest, Meta is making money off our insecurities. KP and I discuss how to use the platform on your terms and drive people to owned media where Zuck can't deplatform you for posting a caption with the word "sex" in it.Pain Point Marketing Is Dead: That girl boss panic-inducing marketing where you scare people into buying? It attracts nightmare clients who feel buyer's remorse the next morning. Real marketing talks to someone's most regulated self, not their freaked-out swipe-my-credit-card-at-midnight self.Your Editorial Stance Beats Any Algorithm: When you have a clear worldview, content becomes easier because you're not trying to rage-bait —you're just showing up as yourself.Relationship Marketing Isn't Transactional (And That's the Point): Orbit jumping and showing up in people's worlds doesn't always result in immediate sales, and that's okay — sometimes you're just planting seeds or having a good conversation. If you're ready to ditch performative posting and build a presence rooted in your values (not Adam Mosseri's latest metric), connect with KP for more resources — and maybe even a social media presence that finally feels like you.Connect with KP:WebsiteInstagramContent Constellation Waitlist (aka the Supernova is a thinking lab for visionaries building frameworks that transcend algorithms. If the world feels louder, heavier, and more emotionally exhausting than ever...and your spiritual practice isn't giving you the calm it used to...this episode is for you. What if the problem isn't that you're “doing it wrong,” but that you've misunderstood what peace actually is?In this reflective solo episode, Will shares a Zen-inspired story; The Silent Mountain, and uses it as a grounded framework to explore a very human question: how do we stay present, awake, and spiritually connected when the world feels chaotic and emotionally overwhelming? Rather than chasing spiritual highs or bypassing discomfort, this conversation reframes spiritual awakening as a spiral, not a summit. Peace isn't found by escaping the noise of life...it emerges when we learn how to relate to it differently. This is modern spirituality without platitudes, gurus, or denial of reality.Key Insights & TakeawaysSilence isn't the absence of sound, it's the ability to remain internally steady even when life is loud.Spiritual awakening isn't linear; growth happens in cycles, with ascents and descents that are equally meaningful.Feeling anger, grief, or outrage doesn't mean you're failing spiritually, it means you're engaged with the human experience. The danger isn't emotion, it's getting stuck in it and losing perspective, agency, or gratitude.Awareness changes everything: when you stop fighting the “noise,” you begin to notice the larger pattern...the symphony underneath it all.You can hold gratitude and discomfort at the same time without invalidating either. Why This Conversation Is Different This episode avoids spiritual clichés like “just stay positive” or “everything happens for a reason.” There's no spiritual bypassing, no denial of injustice, and no promise of instant peace. Instead, Will explores consciousness and metaphysics through lived experience, acknowledging real emotional weight while refusing to let it collapse into despair. It's an invitation to stay awake inside the mess, not pretend the mess isn't there.Listener Reassurance Questioning doesn't make you cynical. Feeling overwhelmed doesn't mean you've lost your way. And curiosity does not equal gullibility. This is a space where skepticism and intuition can coexist, and where modern spirituality is allowed to be honest, imperfect, and deeply human. Call to Action Listen with curiosity, not expectation. Reflect on where you might be fighting the noise instead of listening to the larger rhythm beneath it. And if this episode resonates, join the conversation, because navigating awakening is easier when we're willing to talk about it honestly. The Skeptic Metaphysicians is a pragmatic spirituality podcast for curious minds exploring the unknown without abandoning critical thinking. Each episode breaks down metaphysics explained through grounded conversation, examining hidden truths behind spiritual awakening, consciousness expansion, and expanded consciousness. We explore intuition, mediumship, spirit guides, and the mechanics of healing and personal transformation—bridging skeptical inquiry with meaningful spiritual experience. If you're navigating your own awakening or questioning reality while staying intellectually honest, this podcast is for seekers and skeptics alike.Subscribe, Rate & Review! If you found this episode enlightening, mind-expanding, or even just thought-provoking (see what we did there?), please take a moment to rate and review us. The key to success is not the platform itself, but the consistent application of SEO best practices, such as creating high-quality content, building quality backlinks, and optimizing for relevant keywords.3. How important are plugins for a WordPress site?Plugins are essential for extending the functionality of a WordPress site. They can add features for SEO, e-commerce, security, and more. However, it is crucial to use well-coded plugins from reputable sources, as an excessive number of plugins or poorly-coded ones can slow down your website and create security vulnerabilities.4. What are the main cost differences between WordPress and Webflow?Webflow operates on a subscription model with different pricing tiers based on features and traffic. WordPress is open-source and free to use, but you will incur costs for hosting, domain registration, premium themes, and plugins. The total cost for a WordPress site can vary widely depending on your specific needs.5. What was the key takeaway from Ryan's experience with the Google update? The main lesson from Ryan's story is that SEO is an ongoing process. Relying on past success without continuous effort in link building, content creation, and technical updates can leave a website vulnerable to algorithm changes. It highlights the importance of staying proactive and adaptable in your SEO strategy.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

1. Short, Limited Government Shutdown Most federal agencies and benefits (Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, food assistance, mail service, passports) are unaffected. The shutdown mainly impacts non‑essential services and is expected to last only a few days. Shutdowns are often politically exaggerated, and that even full shutdowns leave most government operations running. 2. Detransitioner Lawsuit as a Legal Turning Point A New York jury verdict awarded $2 million to a woman who underwent gender‑related breast removal surgery as a minor and later detransitioned. The case is presented as: The first successful malpractice/detransitioner lawsuit of its kind. A potential precedent that could encourage similar lawsuits nationwide. The argument is this: to Change medical and hospital behavior. Increase legal scrutiny of gender‑affirming care for minors. Gender‑transition procedures for minors have become a profitable industry. Some hospitals and professionals allegedly prioritize financial incentives and ideology over long‑term patient welfare. The lawsuit can be a tool too: Hold professionals financially and legally accountable. Deter similar practices through litigation risk. 3. Trump’s Withdrawal from UN Agencies and Treaties Withdrew the U.S. from 66 United Nations agencies, programs, and international commitments. Cut or refused funding to several UN bodies, contributing to a UN financial crisis. A move to reduce U.S. taxpayer spending. A rejection of what they characterize as ineffective or ideologically driven international programs. The UN is financially mismanaged and overly dependent on U.S. funding. Jason delves into the fact that 10 NFL teams hired new head coaches, sans a black coach hiring. He states that black men see themselves as victims, not leaders. That victim mentality explains why black coaches fail and were bypassed during this NFL head coaching cycle. Mike Tomlin has been criticized for failing to produce a coaching tree, having leaned on veteran assistants during his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jason explains Tomlin was viewed as a players' coach, not for his strategy. How many black coaches are known for their strategy or brand? Brian Flores is the highest paid defensive coordinator in the league, however he is suing the NFL following his dismissal as the Miami Dolphins head coach compromising his candidacy. Bucky Brooks joins Jason to discuss the head coaching hires and the firing of Kwesi Adofo-Mensah as Minnesota Vikings general manager. Did taking paternity leave really factor into his dismissal? Steve Kim comes aboard for the final lap … discussing Steve Kerr apologizing for spewing misinformation about ICE, Deion Sanders spewing misinformation that coaches and players voted Shedeur Sanders into the Pro Bowl, and Maria Taylor's Peacock special "Field Generals: History of the Black Quarterback" debuting this week. David Greene joins us to talk about his new podcast, David Greene Is Obsessed, where opera singers map public restrooms, pizza-tour guys chase the perfect slice, and even David Arquette turns Bozo the Clown into an intellectual-property saga. We get into why an obsession can unlock a different kind of interview, plus Greene's own confessions, from the Hay-Adams bathroom workaround to sports fandom. Plus: the Mississippi miracle, and what China's van-based math prodigies say about how serious nations approach the future. And in the Spiel, life expectancy hits 79 in 2024, why that stat misleads even when it's true, and why good news gets swamped by the bad stuff.
