What would change if you stopped trying to push through fatigue — and instead learned what your biology is trying to tell you?On today's episode of Finding Mastery, we sit down with entrepreneur, author, and biohacking pioneer Dave Asprey — founder of Bulletproof, Upgrade Labs, and widely regarded as the father of the modern biohacking movement. This is Dave's second time on the podcast, and it's a nuanced exploration of what it means to live with vitality and consciousness in a world obsessed with optimization. In this episode, Dr. Mike and Dave dig into the science and philosophy behind performance, recovery, and emotional regulation — from neurofeedback and cold exposure to trauma, forgiveness, and redefining what “health” actually feels like. Dave opens up about losing his company, being publicly criticized, and the deep internal work required to find strength and gratitude again. You'll learn:Why “listening to your biology” may be more effective than pushing through fatigue. How Dave used neurofeedback and meditation to recover from collapse and betrayal. The link between emotional regulation, energy, and mitochondrial health. How to think critically about longevity practices — from fasting to peptides. Why darkness, stillness, and sunlight are as vital as any supplement. The conversation bridges biology and self-awareness — asking whether efficiency can coexist with depth, and what mastery really looks like when you align your body, mind, and purpose.Quick note from the Finding Mastery team: The views expressed are the guest's own and do not reflect those of Dr. Mike Gervais or Finding Mastery. In today's episode of Next Level University, hosts Kevin Palmieri and Alan Lazaros challenge how most people think about fulfillment and why chasing the wrong thing leads to long-term dissatisfaction. They examine the gap between outcomes and meaning, question commonly accepted definitions of happiness, and address why fulfillment cannot be manufactured through success alone. Drawing from years of experience and real-world patterns, this episode reframes fulfillment as something built over time, not something found in a moment. This conversation is a grounded reminder that meaning is earned through consistent execution and personal alignment, not intention or emotion._______________________Visual Asset:The Pyramid of Fulfillment Learn more about:Join our private Facebook community, “Next Level Nation,” to grow alongside people who are committed to improvement. - https://www.facebook.com/groups/459320958216700The “Next Level Hope Foundation” creates meaningful experiences for kids growing up without a father figure and builds a positive, supportive community around them.To support this event, you can donate here: https://gofund.me/5c6abcf7f_______________________NLU is not just a podcast; it's a gateway to a wealth of resources designed to help you achieve your goals and dreams. In today's episode, I'm talking honestly about body image and not from a place of perfection, but from my real everyday experience.  We'll  unpack how constant exposure to food content, fitness trends, and curated lifestyles subtly shapes the way we think about our bodies. I share what intrusive thoughts around appearance can sound like and why they tend to show up when life slows down or feels uncertain.  We talk about the arrival fallacy and the belief that once our body looks a certain way, we'll finally feel at peace and why that promise almost never delivers. I reflect on how comparison creeps in quietly and how it disconnects us from actually enjoying the lives we're building.  This episode isn't about fixing your body; it's about understanding the mental patterns that keep you feeling dissatisfied even when things are objectively good. I also share perspective shifts that have helped me soften my relationship with my body without forcing positivity.  We explore what it looks like to hold ambition and self-acceptance at the same time. If you've ever thought, “I should feel happier than this,” you're not alone.  This conversation is an invitation to notice, not judge, the stories you're telling yourself. Body image isn't just about how you look. It's about how present you're able to be in your own life. And sometimes, the work isn't changing anything externally, but learning to arrive where you already are. Time Stamps: (1:32) Instagram Food Algorithms(7:26) The Intrusive Thoughts(9:02) Binging Landman(15:52) The Arrival Fallacy(20:49) Arthur Brooks Quote (23:12) Our New Home (31:32) Let Us Know If You Enjoyed Today's Episode---------------------Find Out More Information on Vital Spark Coaching---------------------Follow @vanessagfitness on Instagram for daily fitness tips & motivation. ---------------------Download Our FREE Metabolism-Boosting Workout Program---------------------Join the Women's Metabolism Secrets Facebook Community for 25+ videos teaching you how to start losing fat without hating your life!---------------------Click here to send me a message on Facebook and we'll see how I can help or what best free resources I can share!---------------------Interested in 1-on-1 Coaching with my team of Metabolism & Hormone Experts? Divorce can feel like you're unravelling from the inside out, and today Dr. Beth Karassik and Louise Zito, Esq. join Susan E. Guthrie to explain why and how you can regain your emotional footing.  If you're overwhelmed, scared, or emotionally flooded in the middle of divorce, there is a scientific reason for it and there are ways to steady yourself, even when everything around you feels chaotic. In this powerful conversation, Susan Guthrie is joined by clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist Dr. Beth Karassik and longtime mediator and collaborative professional Louise Zito, Esq. to break down what's happening in your brain and body during divorce and share practical tools for restoring calm, clarity, and control. Together, they help you understand why your reactions feel so big, why everyday decisions suddenly feel impossible, and what you can do right now to support your nervous system through one of the most destabilizing experiences of your life. Plus, for legal practitioners, discover how Beth and Louise's work can help you re-align, re-center, and rein in the chaos of divorce work. Why This Conversation Matters When you're navigating divorce without understanding what's happening in your nervous system, it's easy to blame yourself, question your decisions, or feel like you're failing. But the truth is this: divorce places an extraordinary cognitive and emotional load on you. When you know why you're reacting the way you are and you have tools that actually help you communicate more effectively, you make better choices, and you're able to protect your well-being through every stage of the process. And for the professionals who support divorcing individuals, understanding these emotional dynamics (and tending to their own regulation) directly affects their ability to guide clients forward. A grounded professional creates a grounded process, leading to healthier outcomes for everyone involved. This conversation supports both sides of the experience: the people living through divorce and the practitioners walking beside them. You Will Learn: Why divorce triggers fear, confusion, and emotional flooding How stress impacts communication, decision-making, and co-parenting Signs that your overwhelm is actually a trauma response Practical grounding tools you can use today Scripts for setting emotional boundaries during conflict How to build a support system that keeps you steady Why the emotional health of your divorce professional affects your experience Insight into the Calma Collective Retreat supporting divorce professionals Download the Calming Exercise Guide from this Episode: Access the grounding tools discussed in this episode. Negativity can pile up on us through out our life. So much so that it is very easy to start to believe that nothing good will ever happen. People will suggest affirmations and law of attraction and many are skeptical that those things will ever work for them. The trust is that they will work only if we believe they will. They won't work, if we believe they won't. We have to retain ourselves to not feel silly thinking positively. That silly feeling is resistance and cynicism creeping back in. This meditation aims to help the meditator regain some peace and balance while reminding them that good things can happen, if only you just believe they can.

As we move into 2026, The Building Better Humans Project is refocusing—by going back to where it all began. In this episode, Glenn Azar shares an honest update on the future direction of the podcast and why now is the right time to return to the show’s roots: unapologetic, no-BS personal and professional development across all the areas of life where people feel stuck, challenged, or overwhelmed. Glenn also addresses the decision to step away from Mayhem Monday as a regular segment. While it was enjoyed by many, consistency, integrity, and capacity matter—and this episode explains why doing fewer things better is essential for long-term growth, both personally and professionally. With over 11 years of podcasting and 1,500+ episodes, this show remains a free, consistent anchor in a crowded personal development space—focused on mindset, discipline, responsibility, leadership, and real-world application. Mayhem sessions may still appear from time to time as bonus episodes, but the core mission is clear:Three episodes a week. Real conversations. Practical tools. No hype. Success changes the weight you carry, not the work you avoid. In today's episode, Kevin and Alan cut through one of the most misunderstood ideas in self-improvement and personal development. Growth does not simplify your life. It sharpens it. The better you get, the more responsibility your decisions carry. The higher you climb, the more consistency and self-awareness are required to stay there. This conversation challenges surface-level motivation and reframes what real progress actually demands over the long term. If you are serious about personal development, disciplined decision-making, and building success you can sustain, this episode will reset your expectations. Listen carefully. Healing isn't a checkbox; it's a way of relating to what hurts. We sit down with Insight Meditation teacher and author Justin Michelson to explore a grounded path through stress, pain, and trauma that begins with self-compassion and widens into nature, lineage, and something larger than ourselves. Justin's website: JustinMichelsonDharma.comJustin's book: The Dharma of HealingFrom his first teen meditation class to hard-won lessons with overwhelming energies, Justin shares how he moved from striving to surrender—trading the warrior stance for a bow that restores safety and connection. We dive into a powerful framework he calls the four turnings of the wheel of healing: surface compassion for daily frictions, depth compassion for buried fear and grief, collective compassion for what family and culture seeded in us, and universal compassion that lets us rest in a benevolent field. Along the way, we unpack his striking metaphor of self-aversion as psychological autoimmunity—how our ancient impulse to pull away from pain turns inward and keeps wounds stuck—and how kind attention unwinds that loop. For listeners far from forests, Justin offers simple, sensory ways to let nature be a teacher: a patch of sun, a street tree, the feel of wind as a reminder that we're held by more than our thoughts.Justin also opens a window into his Native Foods Nursery, where tending edible native plants becomes a living practice of reciprocity and belonging. Teaching, for him, is shared practice—not perfection—where the goal is to help people remember their own inner wisdom and build resilience that can meet a turbulent world. If you've been craving practices that are practical, humane, and spacious enough for real life, this conversation offers a map and the companionship to walk it.If the episode resonates, share it with a friend who could use a gentler path forward, and leave a review so more people can find these practices.
