Working in acrylic paint to transform a space is a great way to brighten your home on a smaller scale and through painting everyday objects there's also a special sense of accomplishment that comes with customising your space. Where in the world am I? In San Diego, talking about Thessoloniki Greece, Part 1 Welcome to the  Dr. Mary Travelbest Guide podcast. I returned from a 90-day journey around the world, and I'm excited to connect with fellow travelers and share experiences for world peace. Here is an FAQ about plane or train travel, Thessoloniki Greece, Part 1, and also about a health issue you don't want when you travel. Give a listen. I guide you to solo travel experiences to bring out your best. The FAQ is: If you could take a plane or a train, which would it be and why? Answer:  If I have the choice between a plane and a train, Most of the time… I choose the train. Now let's be practical. If the distance is extreme — say, cross-country or intercontinental — the plane wins on efficiency. At this stage of life, I value my energy. Six hours in the air may beat twenty hours of transfers. But when are both realistic options? Train. Here's why. First, the train allows me to arrive gently. There's no stripping down at security, no liquid anxiety, no rushing to a distant gate. I walk onto the train. I keep my water. I keep my dignity. That matters. Second, the scenery. At 50+, we understand that the journey is not separate from the destination. On a train, I see villages, farmland, people waiting on platforms, laundry on balconies. I watch life unfold. A plane gives me clouds. Third, ease of movement. I can stand up. Walk. Stretch. Visit the café car. Talk to someone if I choose — or not. For solo women, that flexibility feels empowering. Fourth, arrival point. Trains typically drop you in the center of town. Planes drop you 40 minutes away, followed by taxis, shuttles, and more logistics. Simplicity wins. Now — here's where I get skeptical of my own bias. If I'm exhausted… If connections are complicated… If safety or night travel becomes a concern…Going from Oslo to Bergen this past summer, we had a 7-hour delay, stranded in Voss due to the heated tracks. That was not unusual, I later learned. Side note: I did enjoy my time in Voss and learned to slow down. If I anticipate a delay like this, I will absolutely take the plane. Comfort and safety override romance. So my answer? If time is short and distance is long,,,,, fly. If time is flexible and distance is reasonable, take the train and let the world move past your window. At this stage of life, we're not just getting somewhere. We're experiencing how we get there. In this episode, I want to invite you to start viewing your internal health through the same lens as you view your external health. Nothing is one and done. You're never done. The goal is not to be done. The goal is learning what your baseline is, what it feels like to actually live in balance, because most people have no concept of what their actual baseline is when their body is in balance. And from there, it's learning how to listen to your body and do what you need to maintain your balance. Something I wish everybody understood is that our microbiome is always fluctuating. It's influenced by the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, the chemicals that are sprayed on our food, the chemicals sprayed in the air.It's influenced by exposure to bacteria and pathogens, viruses, yeast, mold, and parasites. The health or unhealth of our relationships. It's influenced by how we experience stress and how much stress we experience. Our microbiome is very dynamic and it's always responding to so many different variables in our life.I invite you to rebalance and learn your baseline, experience balance, and then get curious. Pay attention to what fluctuations feel like for you, what they look like for your child, and stop chasing this illusion that our internal health is a one and done thing.I invite you to start living in relationship with your body instead of fighting your body. I invite you to start listening, listening to those, maybe they're quiet symptoms. Start listening with curiosity and without judgment.Let yourself dream. Your business has built you. And I immediately knew exactly what she meant by this because I've always from the very beginning from that very first vivid vivid dream I had of ōNLē and the products I've known that ōNLē is much bigger than me. She went on to explain that ōNLē is its own consciousness and that I was given a really hard experience so that this consciousness ōNLē could flow through me and I could live out my life purpose of sharing this profound healing.And I know this is true for you too. Whatever you are experiencing right now, whether you are healing your child or yourself or you are expanding and stepping into the next version of yourself or building a business or experiencing a hard or very delightful time in your marriage, whatever you are experiencing in life right now, it's bigger than you.You are so brave, you are so courageous, and I am so proud of you. It can feel like it happens overnight. Suddenly there is fear where there wasn't fear before. Anxiety that doesn't make sense. Obsessive thoughts. Out of nowhere rituals and OCD like behaviors. Maybe tics. Rage that feels completely out of character. Sleep goes to heck. Separation becomes unbearable. And you're left standing there wondering what just happened to my child.If you are listening to this and your chest feels tight because this is your story, I need you to hear me. You are not imagining this. Your child did not just decide to become someone else. And you are not dramatic for knowing something deeper is going on.
