“To will is human, but to surrender is divine.” - Guy Finley So much of our suffering comes when life does not go our way. Traffic makes us late, meetings unfold differently than expected, or loved ones face challenges we cannot control. In this episode of 10 Minutes to Less Suffering, you will learn how our will can equal pain, how uncertainty can become an ally instead of an enemy, and how pure surrender eases stress and creates space for renewal. These practices show us how to meet everyday struggles with less resistance and more peace. Affirmation Poem: When my will demands what life does not give, I meet the birthplace of pain. I breathe, I soften, I release. Uncertainty is not my enemy. It carries hope, renewal, and possibility. In the unknown, I am free. Surrender is not giving up. It is giving over. It is opening to life itself, allowing it to reshape me, polish me, make me whole again. Here I find less stress, less suffering, and the peace of flowing with what is. Today we hear from Dr. Dana Mincer, founder of Love Health Direct Primary Care in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, to share her personal journey and the transformative impact of Direct Primary Care (DPC) on patient care and physician well-being. Dr. Mincer discusses her background in holistic and integrative medicine, shaped by unique experiences in Switzerland and Italy, which informed her passion for reimagining American healthcare. Dr. Mincer candidly addresses the widespread issue of physician burnout, drawing from her own experiences of exhaustion, depersonalization, and disillusionment within conventional healthcare settings, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and her time in high-volume urgent care. She explains how DPC allowed her to break free from the rigid constraints and time pressures typical of value-based care models, granting her the autonomy to practice truly patient-centered medicine, focus on preventive care, and build long-term relationships with patients and her community.Register HERE for the Physician Attendees ONLY RiseUP Summit brought to you by FlexMed Staff & My DPC Story! Today, I am delighted to reconnect with two previous guests, Dr. Darren Candow. Dr. Candow is a distinguished professor and an internationally renowned researcher on creatine monohydrate, nutrition, and physical activity, whom I had the pleasure of speaking with on Episode 301, where we discussed creatine. We are doing an AMA session today, delving into various themes surrounding creatine, from debunking outdated RDA recommendations to exploring the synergies between strength training and creatine efficacy. We examine the cognitive benefits of creatine, investigating its interactions with caffeine and its implications for bone health, hydration, anabolic resistance, and metabolic health. You will find today's AMA session as enlightening and enriching as I did while recording it. IN THIS EPISODE YOU WILL LEARN: The safety and efficacy of creatine as a supplement How creatine increases muscle mass and reduces protein catabolism The benefits of combining creatine with protein Is it better to take creatine before or after a workout? How creatine supplementation may improve brain performance and mental clarity Why exercise is essential for those who want to experience the benefits of creatine for maintaining their bone health The benefits of resistance-band workouts for post-menopausal women Are there any age-related limits for creatine supplementation? Bio: Dr. Darren Candow Dr. Darren Candow, PhD, CSEP-CEP, is Professor and Director of the Aging Muscle and Bone Health Laboratory in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies at the University of Regina, Canada. The overall objectives of Dr. Candow's research program are to develop effective lifestyle interventions that incorporate nutrition (primarily creatine monohydrate) and physical activity (resistance training), with practical and clinical relevance for improving musculoskeletal aging and reducing the risk of falls and fractures. Dr. Candow has published over 120 peer-refereed journal manuscripts, supervised over 20 MSc and PhD students, and received research funding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Canada Foundation for Innovation, the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation, the National Institute of Health, and the Nutricia Research Foundation. In the early 1900s, Edgar Cayce claimed he was able to heal sick patients by tapping into something called the Akashic Records—a metaphysical archive of every soul's thoughts, emotions, actions, and past experiences—in this life and the last. Some say that Edgar's abilities were nothing more than a hoax—but others point to his predictions of the future as evidence he was the real deal. For a full list of sources, please visit: sosupernaturalpodcast.com/mystical-edward-cayce-and-the-akashic-recordsSo Supernatural is an Audiochuck and Crime House production.
