The Guru Returns! Welcome to the concluding episode of this two-part series with health and fitness trainer/ influencer Dylan Holvey. Dylan has a private practice in the Los Angeles area where he consults with clients about workout regiments and diet, but he has also built an impressive social media following that educates his followers about healthy living. In addition, he has a weekly podcast called The Holvey Hour that is available everywhere you get your podcasts, and you should definitely be listening to every episode. This episode gets deeper into the steps that we can all take to build habits and a lifestyle that makes positive changes. It's not about taking big swings or starting programs that are unsustainable, it's about doing one thing a day to improve your diet or exercise, and then building on that to create habits. As Dylan says, if it feels too daunting to be able to do for 30 years, then don't even bother trying it for 30 days. Move that mountain one stone at a time. They also discuss the social media swindlers that are just trying to promote their own products or diet pills, and how to identify those that you shouldn't be listening to. Follow Dylan on his instagram at @dylanholveyfitness, and be sure to download his podcast, “The Holvey Hour” Talk About It with Greg Grunberg is excited to be sponsored by Neurelis and by Jazz Pharmaceuticals.

Do you ever feel like you're running on caffeine, sugar, and sheer willpower… and still crashing by 3 PM?You're not alone, friend.Today on The Secrets of Supermom Show, I'm joined by Sarah Rau, a full-time accountant, health and wellness coach, mom of two busy teens, and Supermom Summer Camp alum. Sarah knows firsthand how easy it is to get stuck in what she calls the survival cycle—running on high-sugar snacks and coffee to get through the day, then winding down with wine at night, only to wake up feeling more tired than before. We're talking about how to break that cycle, boost your energy naturally, and build healthy habits that actually fit your real life—even if you're juggling work, kids, and a to-do list a mile long. And, if you've listened to Episode 247 about cycle syncing or Episode 248 about mineral deficiency, you'll see exactly how Sarah's strategies connect. Just like cycle syncing helps you work with your body's natural rhythms, and mineral balance supports energy from the inside out, Sarah's “bridge” approach helps you move from knowing what to do… to actually doing it, in a way that's sustainable.Text us your feedback or questions!Stay connected! Can AI spot your health problems faster than a doctor? We all know the grind: long hours, too much stress, and that feeling of burnout that never seems to go away. Traditional medicine often just slaps a Band-Aid on the symptoms, leaving the root cause unaddressed. But what if there's a better way to get to the bottom of what's really going on with your body? Discover how AI-powered health tracking can pinpoint hidden issues like low testosterone and stress-induced glucose crashes. Learn how to use your own biometric data to have more productive conversations with your doctor. And find out what simple lifestyle changes can make a massive difference in your mental and physical well-being. Listen now to learn how to turn your health data into actionable insights. Topics Discussed: - AI and Testosterone: Garrett shares his personal journey of using an AI chat to pinpoint a potential diagnosis of hypogonadism due to head injuries, which was later confirmed by blood tests. - The Problem with Doctors: A major frustration is the lack of time doctors have to truly sift through a patient's complex history to find the root cause of issues like chronic stress or low energy. - Biohacking with Wearables: Wearable tech and continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) can reveal surprising correlations between emotional stress and physical biomarkers, like a fight with a partner causing a blood sugar spike. - The Biopsychosocial Model: The conversation highlights how physical health and mental health are inextricably linked and that physical issues can often manifest as psychological symptoms and vice versa. - Trusting Your Data: The hosts discuss the balance between trusting the data from wearables and listening to your own body's intuition, noting that the data isn't foolproof. - Quick Fixes vs. Root Causes: The discussion touches on how Western medicine often focuses on treating symptoms with quick fixes like medication, rather than addressing the underlying lifestyle factors. - The Power of Feedback Loops: Using AI and wearables creates a tighter feedback loop, allowing people to experiment with lifestyle changes and see the results faster, which helps maintain motivation. - Burnout as a Lifestyle Choice: Burnout is framed not just as a workplace issue but as a lifestyle problem driven by priorities that don't include recovery. - Behavioral Change is Hard: The hosts acknowledge that knowing what to do isn't the same as doing it, and that current behaviors often serve a purpose, even if they're unhealthy. - Data Privacy Concerns: Garrett acknowledges the risk of sharing personal health data with AI but weighs the benefit of gaining health insights against the potential for data leaks. If you like, please subscribe for more!     Healthy Aging: Embracing Wellness Throughout the Lifespan Aging is a natural part of life, and how we age can greatly influence our quality of life. Embracing wellness throughout our lifespan is crucial for maintaining physical, mental, and emotional health as we grow older. Here are some key strategies to promote healthy aging and ensure we live our best lives at any age.   1. Stay Physically Active Regular physical activity is one of the most important aspects of healthy aging. Exercise helps maintain muscle strength, flexibility, and balance, reducing the risk of falls and injuries. It also supports cardiovascular health and aids in weight management. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise each week, including activities like walking, swimming, or cycling, as well as strength training exercises.   2. Eat a Balanced Diet Nutrition plays a vital role in healthy aging. A balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats provides essential nutrients that support overall health. Pay attention to portion sizes and hydration, and limit the intake of processed foods, sugar, and salt. Incorporating foods rich in antioxidants, such as berries, nuts, and leafy greens, can help combat oxidative stress and promote cellular health.   3. Prioritize Mental Health Mental health is equally important as physical health in the aging process. Engage in activities that stimulate your mind, such as reading, puzzles, or learning new skills. Social connections also play a crucial role in mental well-being. Stay connected with friends and family, join clubs or groups, and participate in community activities to foster a sense of belonging and support.   4. Get Regular Health Check-ups Regular medical check-ups are essential for early detection and management of health conditions. Keep up with screenings and vaccinations, and communicate openly with your healthcare provider about any concerns or changes in your health. Preventive care and early intervention can significantly improve outcomes and enhance your quality of life.   5. Practice Good Sleep Hygiene Quality sleep is fundamental to healthy aging. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep each night and establish a consistent sleep routine. Create a comfortable sleep environment, limit exposure to screens before bedtime, and avoid caffeine and heavy meals in the evening. Good sleep supports cognitive function, mood regulation, and overall physical health.   6. Manage Stress Effectively Chronic stress can have detrimental effects on health. Incorporate stress-reducing practices into your daily routine, such as mindfulness meditation, deep breathing exercises, or yoga. Finding hobbies and activities that bring joy and relaxation can also help manage stress and improve overall well-being.   7. Stay Hydrated Hydration is crucial for maintaining bodily functions and overall health. As we age, our sense of thirst may diminish, making it important to consciously drink enough water throughout the day. Aim for at least eight glasses of water daily, and adjust your intake based on activity level and climate.   8. Avoid Harmful Habits Avoiding harmful habits like smoking and excessive alcohol consumption is vital for healthy aging. Smoking and heavy drinking can lead to numerous health issues, including heart disease, cancer, and liver damage. If you need help quitting, seek support from healthcare professionals or support groups.   9. Maintain a Positive Attitude A positive outlook on life can greatly influence your health and well-being. Cultivate gratitude, practice self-compassion, and focus on the things that bring you happiness and fulfillment. Engaging in activities that you are passionate about and setting achievable goals can provide a sense of purpose and direction.   10. Stay Engaged and Active in Your Community Being active in your community can provide a sense of purpose and belonging. Volunteer, join clubs or groups, and participate in community events. Staying engaged with others helps maintain social connections, which are crucial for mental and emotional health.   Healthy aging is about embracing wellness throughout the lifespan by making conscious choices that promote physical, mental, and emotional health. By staying active, eating a balanced diet, prioritizing mental health, and maintaining social connections, we can enhance our quality of life and age gracefully. Remember, it's never too late to start making positive changes that contribute to a healthier, happier life.

When we resist the present moment because it doesn't match our expectations, we create distance from our happiness. We tell stories about how things should be or fear what the future might hold, and in doing so, we miss the value and possibility in what's actually here. When we accept what is and remember that uncertainty is a space of unlimited potential, we become more present, open, and available. This not only helps us get the most out of the moment, it is also a powerful recipe for creating a better future. Affirmation: I accept this moment as it is, and I trust that uncertainty holds the potential for something beautiful. I release the stories that create distance from my happiness and stay open to all that life has to offer. In today's episode of Ten Minutes to Less Suffering, I explore the difference between constantly trying to fix ourselves and learning to fully inhabit who we already are. When we stop searching for solutions outside ourselves and begin to listen inwardly, we return to a place of clarity, presence, and strength. Affirmation: I don't chase wholeness. I remember it. Even in heartbreak, in silence, in longing—Wholeness was never gone. I am not a problem to solve. I am not waiting to be rescued. Even when I ache, I am not less. Even when I stumble, I am not lost. I begin here. As I am. Breathing. Listening. Living. Healing is not becoming someone new. It is the soft, honest return to who I've always been. I can spend my life trying to fix myself… Or I can finally choose to be myself. One is endless effort. The other is freedom.  I want to be free. Here I am. Not fixing. Just being. And Maybe that… is enough. If you found this podcast enjoyable, kindly consider subscribing and leaving a rating or review. The Second Phase Podcast - Personal Branding & Brand Marketing and Life Strategies for Success for Female Entrepreneurs

Embrace the Power of Rest and Breathe In a world that glorifies hustle, the concept of rest often feels foreign. Rest isn't a luxury; it's a necessity for both your mental and physical health. You need to rest and breathe. Embracing rest and breath can transform your daily life, enabling you to lead and parent with vitality rather than burnout. Understanding Effective Rest When we refer to rest, it's not about idleness; it's about rejuvenation. It's crucial to reject the misconception that rest equates to laziness. Proper rest involves creating space for simplicity, silence, and sacred rhythms. This approach enables your mind and body to renew, allowing you to approach life with clarity and purpose. Regulated nervous systems and renewed minds are integral to genuine rest. These elements counteract society's push to overachieve, leading to unhealthy stress levels. To avoid unhealthy stress levels and potential future health complications, it is essential to rest and breathe. The Vital Role of Breath Breathwork serves as a powerful tool for regulating your nervous system. Proper diaphragmatic breathing helps ensure that your physiology functions optimally, promoting peace and reducing anxiety. Many people unknowingly breathe incorrectly, using shallow breaths that keep the body in a stressed state. Engage in breathwork by practicing slow, intentional breaths. These conscious breathing exercises can bring immediate calm and enhance mindful living. Incorporate Rest Daily Rest can be integrated into your life without sacrificing productivity. Consider setting aside five minutes each day for silence and solitude. During this time, focus on your breathing. Let go of societal expectations, tune into the present moment, and experience the tranquility of God's presence. Simplicity and moderation are key. Allow yourself permission to reduce clutter in both your schedule and mind. This intentional practice of slowing down fosters a refreshing sense of peace and presence.
