In this hour, the guys dive into the latest controversies surrounding New York sports and the NFL offseason. The Yankees & Trent Grisham Saga The show opens with a reaction to Brian Cashman's recent interview, where he doubled down on the Trent Grisham trade and contract. The Debate: Cashman calls the $22 million deal a "steal" in the current market, while the hosts debate if Grisham is merely an expensive insurance policy that blocks younger talent like Jasson Dominguez and Spencer Jones. The Roster Impact: Is Grisham's presence stunting the development of "The Martian," or do the Yankees need veteran depth for a World Series run? Giants Ownership & The Epstein Files The conversation shifts to the reports regarding Giants co-owner Steve Tisch and leaked emails connecting him to Jeffrey Epstein. NFL Discipline: A discussion on whether the league will punish Tisch similarly to how they handled other owner controversies, or if the lack of criminal charges protects him. Future Ownership: Speculation arises on the Koch family's minority stake and if they are positioning themselves to take over a local team in the future. Super Bowl Storylines & The "Boring" Build-Up With the Super Bowl approaching, the hosts struggle to find compelling narratives, leading to a "Top 5 Storylines" list that includes: Sam Darnold's "Middle Finger Tour." Fears of a new Patriots Dynasty. The Seahawks/Patriots revenge narrative. Stefon Diggs winning a ring before Josh Allen. 49ers practice facility conspiracy theories. The Kwesi Adofo-Mensah Firing & Paternity Leave A heated discussion regarding the firing of Vikings GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and reports citing his two-week paternity leave during training camp as a point of contention. The Contrast: The hosts compare this to Bills coach Joe Brady's comment about missing his child's birth for a game, ultimately concluding that both approaches are personal choices ("to each his own") rather than fireable offenses. NBA & MLB Notes KAT vs. The Critics: A deep dive into Karl-Anthony Towns' statistics. While he is averaging 19 points and 11 rebounds, the hosts note this is his lowest career field goal percentage and effective field goal percentage, sparking a debate on his All-Star validity vs. Pascal Siakam. Reds Sign Suarez: Reaction to Eugenio Suarez signing with Cincinnati and what that means for the Mets' reliance on Mark Vientos.

In reconstructive urology, preventing infection often means prolonged antibiotic exposure, raising important questions about stewardship and long-term harm. In this episode of BackTable Urology, Joshua Sterling of Yale University joins host George Koch to examine how antibiotic stewardship and emerging insights into the urinary microbiome are reshaping infection management in reconstructive practice. --- SYNPOSIS The discussion centers on real-world clinical challenges, particularly in high-risk populations such as patients with neurogenic bladder, chronic catheterization, or prior reconstruction - groups in whom antibiotics are frequently used prophylactically or indefinitely. Drs. Sterling and Koch explore how well-intentioned prescribing patterns can contribute to resistance, dysbiosis, and recurrent infection, while often failing to address the underlying drivers of disease. Rather than framing infection control solely around eradication, the conversation considers a shift toward modulation of the urinary microbiome, drawing on lessons from gastroenterology, infectious disease, and transplant medicine. The episode concludes by outlining how a more nuanced, multidisciplinary approach may better serve reconstructive urology patients in the long term. --- TIMESTAMPS 00:00 - Introduction02:22 - Antibiotic Stewardship in Urology06:34 - Current Landscape of Antibiotic Use13:44 - Protocols and Practices in Reconstruction18:24 - Antibiotic Overuse and Misuse21:02 - Shifting the Microbiome25:12 - Chlorhexidine Irrigations32:38 - Future Directions38:27 - Implementing Antibiotic Protocols40:48 - Conclusions --- RESOURCES STOP-IT Trialhttps://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa1411162
Nowy przekład debiutanckiej powieści Thomasa Manna „Buddenbrookowie” autorstwa Jerzego Kocha to niewątpliwie jedno z najważniejszych wydarzeń literackich przełomu 2025 i 2026 roku.

In this Saturday episode, AHG Founder & Executive Director Emeritus Patti Garibay welcomes Dr. Kathy Koch back to the podcast as a returning guest to talk about ways we can raise gender-confident girls in a world steeped in confusion. Even when the culture tells us that Scripture is antiquated and oppressive, girls can embrace the clarity, purpose, and peace God offers us through His Word—a solid foundation for both Patti and Dr. Kathy in this conversation. Dr. Kathy shares about her new book Raising Gender-Confident Kids, co-authored with Dr. Jeff Myers of Summit Ministries. Dr. Kathy courageously describes the intention behind the book with Dr. Jeff Myers to embolden parents to push back and say 'no' to a deceptive notion of transitioning kids to different genders by altering their physical bodies. Patti draws out the direction of the book's title—gender-confident rather than gender-confused. Dr. Kathy unpacks the joy behind this theme by rooting a family's confidence in God first and then trickling down to a girl's understanding of her gender. Patti recalls her mother's phrase, 'God doesn't make mistakes.' This led the discussion to understanding God as the Potter at the wheel designing and crafting our bodies with perfect intention and meticulous care. Dr. Kathy shares her personal journey as a girl learning to embrace things about herself that she previously ached to change, then under her mom's wise leadership shifting her thinking to love the unique facets of her body's design. From her height to her voice, Dr. Kathy shares wisdom, joy, and hope for girls struggling with their body's design. Dr. Kathy offers precision in regard to gender confusion, settling that it is loving for a parent to correct confusion in gentleness and love. Patti and Dr. Kathy address the notion of labels that has changed drastically over the last 50 years in western cultures. To calm the strife, Dr. Kathy guides listeners to celebrate both the strength and softness of a girl's femininity rather than letting culture guide our views. Through the lens of a Biblical Worldview, Dr. Kathy teaches ways to let Scripture guide a girl's understanding, both with quoted chapter and verse as well as values of the Bible woven into daily conversations. Dr. Koch and Dr. Myers' book includes conversation starters so parents have a helpful launch-point when issues come up. On the anniversary of Ted Bundy's execution, Obsessed With Death revisits the moment veteran correspondent John Koch witnessed his first execution in 1989, the death of Ted Bundy. Koch reflects on covering Bundy's crimes and the events leading up to that night, and how experiencing his first execution at the center of such a notorious case shaped his approach to journalism.

Warning, this one is really sad.Pulled over for speeding, no criminal past. Five children and a husband at home. Disappeared. Deported. A broken family left behind. Imagine how many Democrats would fly to Mexico to find this woman and exploit her story.2007. Episode 445 Brought to you by: C&G Holsters Medical Gear Outfitters Die Free Co. Blue Alpha Bowers Group Swampfox Optics Text Dear WLS or Reviews +1 743 500 2171 Dear WLS Question from Micah Oxard ♻️ Any updates with potential holster sponsorships? Jeremy's still a cunt. Happy holidays. Question from Drew Peabauls ♻️ I'm planning to purchase a Mitchell defense 10.3” DOC for a home defense rifle. Considering the potential indoor use case, I want to run a dedicated suppressor. What recommendations do you have for the quietest can with low back pressure? No price limitations. Question from Brassguy Jarhead ♻️ "Do ya have any experience with Right to Bear Arms builder sets? If so, what are your thoughts? I'm going to build a 204 Ruger and was going to use an Aero Precision builder set but apparently they quit doing those. Thanks for the input. No notes. PS. Jeremy is a cunt" Question from Karl F ♻️ Hey guys! I live in Virginia and that isn't going to change anytime soon due to proximity to family. Unfortunately, after recent elections, we are almost guaranteed to be facing an assault weapons ban along with a myriad of other gun control next year. I'm currently stocking up in hopes of a grandfather clause. I have plenty of AR15 components; however, I don't have any piston guns. Any suggestions for something I should consider picking up before I can't anymore? I'm not interested in an AK, and I would like to stick to either 556, 300 Blackout, or 6.5 creedmore. I'm leaning towards a 16"" barrel but am open to others. My first thought was a BRN-4 from Brownells but they appear to be all out of stock at the moment. Any input is appreciated. Keep up the great show. #blamecanada Question from Harry Pickle ♻️ Is it just me or is it the older I get (im 29) the more I appreciate the bush on a woman. Do yall appreciate the bush? I'm all for bringing back the 70s hair and 70s bush, and I'm not talking about no landing strip I'm talking about ZZ Top eating a beef and cheddar Question from Nightwasher513 TX ♻️ Thank you for trying to answer my question on episode 435. It was about making a pistol brace for your 3d printed firearms. My follow up question is. What is the likelihood that any of the 3d printed pistols with a pistol brace, would have gotten a letter from the ATF. Case in point, the MacDaddy MAC 11 has a pistol brace designed on it. So then since that designer most likely has not gotten a letter from the ATF, does that mean the 1000s of people that have printed it and installed it are breaking the law? That being said, is there any negative effects on submitting a brace design to the ATF. I carry every day with my DB Alloy MAC 11 in my backpack? And last follow up question. If a steel plate at had a serial number engraved on it to ATF specs that then was inserted into the printed frame during the printing process and could not be removed without destroying the print be in compliance with the ATF rules? I really hope you read this question before Aaron gets back. #NOAARON. Question from Duzzit Fittenmy ♻️ Camorado is Rad. When are we going to get line of flannel shirts? I think each WLS cast member should come up with their own flannel pattern and color scheme. Question from Mitch C ♻️ Which 9mm revolver would you guys get if you wanted to dip your toes in the revolver classes of your local matches? Red dot and holster compatible. Or would you just not be a poor, broke ass bitch and shoot .38? Thanks for everything, daddies *reader of this question then lets out a little moan* Winner: Drew Peabauls Gun Industry News HK Offers VP9 Packages with Vortex Defender Optics ♻️ Heckler & Koch is now offering pre-packaged VP9 pistol bundles that include Vortex Defender red dot optics, simplifying the optics-ready setup for shooters. Tom opens this week's livestream with an update on the upcoming New Biology Experience at Polyface Farm (June 2026)-Registration is still open, and space is limited. Tom will be joined by New Biology Clinic specialists and enrichment facilitators for a weekend of talks, food, music, and community. Join here. This session features two in-depth topics:1. How Money Actually Works-Tom reads and responds to recent articles from Mises.org, reflecting on the nature of fiat currency, the illusion of central banking, and the political consequences of how money is created.-He ties these ideas back to a section he wrote on money in Human Heart, Cosmic Heart (2016), describing a hypothetical system where one person creates all the money and inevitably owns everything—a parody of the current system. The 2 articles that Tom discussed is here.2. Does H. pylori Cause Stomach Ulcers?-Responding to a listener question, Tom critically analyzes the famous study by Barry Marshall that claimed to fulfill Koch's postulates.-He breaks down the methods used in Marshall's self-experiment.-Tom contrasts this with a 2025 Harvard article acknowledging that 80–90% of people with H. pylori never develop ulcers, challenging the idea that this bacterium is a singular causal agent.Q&A:Was Koch's postulate actually fulfilled for H. pylori and ulcers?Support the showWebsites:https://drtomcowan.com/https://www.drcowansgarden.com/https://newbiologyclinic.com/https://newbiologycurriculum.com/Instagram: @TalkinTurkeywithTomFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/DrTomCowan/Bitchute: https://www.bitchute.com/channel/CivTSuEjw6Qp/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzxdc2o0Q_XZIPwo07XCrNg

Happy New Year! To kick off the year with a bang we're joined by Brit Koch, an Indigenous educator and creator who teaches rest, ritual, and resistance, for a grounded conversation on decolonizing self-care and spirituality.Brit breaks down what “decolonizing self-care” actually means: moving away from the consumer-driven version of wellness (the constant “buy this to feel better” cycle) and returning to practices that are accessible, nature-rooted, and internally led. We talk about the line between appreciation vs. appropriation, including why white sage is a common example and what to do if you already own it.We also explore the recent history many people were never taught, including how Indigenous spiritual practices were legally restricted until 1978, and why that context matters when we talk about “gatekeeping.” From there, Brit shares simple, no-cost practices you can start with today like grounding, working with the elements, and reconnecting with your ancestry and lineage in respectful ways.Plus, we discuss how creators and teachers can engage in this work without tokenizing, and how self-care can expand into community care in a sustainable, meaningful way.You can find links to Brit's books and website here:Rooted RitualsReclaimed & Radicalbritkoch.comJoin our Patreon for bonus episodes, magical downloads, and unhinged side quests: https://www.patreon.com/demystifymagicPre-order Molly's book Mundane Magic A Lazy Witch's Guide to Hacking Your Brain, Building a Daily Practice, and Getting Stuff DonePreorder Mundane Magic & Join the Virtual Book Tour: Celebrate the release of Molly's new book with an exclusive online event on Feb 21, 12 PM EST. Avicenne, Babinski, Charcot, Galien, Koch, Laennec, Pasteur...
Double Tap Episode 441 This episode of Double Tap is brought to you by: Blue Alpha, Midwest Industries, Gideon Optics, Primary Arms, Die Free Co., and Mitchell Defense Welcome to Double Tap, episode 441! Your hosts tonight are Jeremy Pozderac, Aaron Krieger, Nick Lynch, and me Shawn Herrin, welcome to the show! Text Dear WLS or Reviews +1 743 500 2171 - Dear WLS ThreeRaccoons InnaTrenchCoat - What programs do Shawn, Nick and Savage use for 3D modeling? Are they subscription based or free? I would like to dive into 3D modeling but don't really want to pay a subscription. A one-time fee would be okay i suppose. Tuul Steele - "I was thinking Hard the other day about that long, cylindrical reciprocating part of an Assault Railer - 15 and it got me curious (bi-curious) about steel selection for a BCG. YES, I know all steel is not created equally Jeremy, but in the case of the BCG which does the cast recommend and which is just more expensive for no reason. Not talking coatings, although you can add that to the pot, I am mainly referring to the materials; Carpenter 158 aka "The Thing", 9310 aka "The Beverly Hills BCG", or S7 Tool Steel aka "The Audi Tool". Love the show and the cast. You guys are keeping me topside on long days. Keep up the good work. Also just buy Aaron a huffy with a baseball card in the spokes and call it a day. Toss in a bottle of Malort for the basket on the handle bars. #WLSisLife #shootstraight" Plow Guy Dave - What do you think will be the cool, new trend at SHOT Show this year? Do you think that there will be an influx of NFA stuff like SBR's, SBS's and suppressors since the One Big Beautiful Bill will be active? I know you guys don't go to SHOT anymore, but what would you like to see come out? John B - So I was listening to the AR-15 podcast and Dauly keeps saying you need to buy mags in “generational wealth” volume. What is it that you guys think is the appropriate number of mags to have for your rifle and pistol? Do I really need to have 10 mags minimum? Gus Gus - Hello people and Aaron, What one thing do you each think we do or use or teach in the firearms space that we will one day look back on and say “wow, I can't believe we let that happen” (besides letting Aaron speak). Could be anything from gear to training to lawfare practices. For myself, I think open emitter red dots on concealed carry guns will be looked at as weird and genX level fuddery and anyone who uses one will always feel like explaining it away like Jeremy does with iron sights. Thanks guys and Aaron Unfit for Human Consumption - What software would you recommend for tracking a gun collection? I have (only) a few dozen guns, and have been using "NMCollector" since about 2005, and it meets my needs. It is now $15/year which is very reasonable, and a "lifetime" activation is less than 85-bucks. A quick search on the interwebs for alternatives reveals "ArmoryBook" which is $200/yr for up to 50 records, and "GunTrack" which is $100/yr for up to 100 records; both are way over budget for my needs. Are there other softwares I'm not aware of that you'd recommend? I don't keep pictures generally, and all I really need to track is make, model, caliber, description, year & country of manufacture, source, cost, appraised value, etc for insurance records and for my wife to cash in on this "401(G)uns" fund when I'm gone (hopefully not for several decades). Or should I just create an Excel spreadsheet? Sunshine Shooter - Forced Reset triggers seem to be a commercially available thing now, but I'm having trouble keeping track of what is out there. What forced reset triggers/super safeties do you recommend I look into getting for a poor man's MP5 I'm planning on putting together? Matthew P - Just bought a 5 inch VFM-9 from Foxtrot Mike. What accessories would you add to this if you are going to keep it as a backpack gun? Suppressor? Flip up sights and/or red dot/prism? sling? anything else? The winner of this week's swag pack is Gus Gus! To win your own, go to welikeshooting.com/dashboard and submit a question! After 17 years of farming, Tryg Koch now farms about 2500 acres, which is 100% leased land with over 70 landowners. With his operation and the ever-changing landscape of more houses and less wheat fields, Tryg talks about how products like AgriGro just need to work quickly.
In this episode of the Wander Your Way Travel Podcast, Lynne sits down with author Kat Koch to dive into the magic, mystery, and everyday beauty of West Cork, Ireland — the place that inspired her memoir, Rainbow Weather: Stories from a Beautiful Nowhere.Kat shares how a childhood dream, sparked by a piece of film music, eventually pulled her across the Atlantic and into the rugged, soul-stirring landscapes of West Cork. She spent four and a half years living there, following her intuition, navigating challenges, and discovering the serendipitous moments that shaped both her book and her personal journey.Together, Lynne and Kat chat about the warmth of the West Cork community, the power of traveling with an open heart, and how letting curiosity lead the way can create the most unexpected connections. Kat reflects on how the Irish countryside — its coastline, its quiet, its raw beauty — changed her, grounded her, and helped her integrate the highs and lows of living abroad. If you're dreaming of Ireland or searching for a destination rich with culture, scenery, and soul, this conversation delivers plenty of inspiration. Kat leaves listeners with thoughtful travel wisdom and her favorite hidden gems across West Cork — the kind of places that make you want to pack a bag and chase a little “rainbow weather” of your own.Want to chat more about West Cork?Email Lynne — Lynne@WanderYourWay.comIn this episode:1:19: Intro + Kat Koch bio5:20: Placing West Cork Ireland on the map5:45: Kat's story12:07: Writing a book15:19: Challenges & perks23:43: Ending a chapter26:49: Favorite places39:07: Standout stories45:12: More popular places54:08: Final thoughts1:02:33: My final thoughts on Kat's book1:04:39: Wrapping it upImportant links: Rainbow Weather: Stories From a Beautiful Nowhere by Kat KochRainbow Weather InstagramWest Cork IrelandThe Best Things to Do in Schull and West Cork Ireland Tracy's List (Solo Traveler)West Cork (Ireland tourism)Wander Your Way ResourcesWander Your Way AdventuresWander Your Way ★ Support this podcast ★

Send us a textA passion project can stay pure and still pay its bills. We open the curtain on how our shed-industry podcast evolved into a practical media and consulting platform, why we invite direct competitors to the mic, and how we're formalizing a vetted network of niche experts in operations, rent-to-own, CRMs, 3D configurators, lumber, and growth leadership. The goal is simple: connect real problems to the right expertise, measure outcomes, and keep the conversation honest enough that everyone gets better. You'll hear the why behind our approach to monetization and sponsorships, including exclusivity, rigorous vetting, and a commitment to fairness even when we sell. We also share what changed our trajectory: a health scare, burnout, therapy, and an inattentive ADHD diagnosis that reframed decades of focus struggles into an attention-surplus superpower. That transparency isn't spectacle—it's strategy. When leaders stabilize, teams perform, customers feel the difference, and the entire supply chain benefits from clearer thinking and cleaner processes. We're building peer groups and roundtables where shed pros can ask hard questions, bring fresh data, and iterate on what works month after month. Education alone isn't enough; iteration compounds. If you bring niche expertise or need targeted guidance, we want to talk—because iron sharpens iron, and this industry grows faster when we learn out loud together.Subscribe, share with a colleague, and leave a review to help more shed pros find these conversations. When I went back and edited this episode with my guest, filmmaker Tom Koch, I realized: he's doing a color series of films! To put that much thought into his work as well as have the creative control to name his films is the perfect way to describe Tom: extraordinarily thoughtful, humble, and a guy capable of doing anything in his films: acting, writing, directing, accents, ballet even! His latest film, OLIVE (2025) is an absolute treat -- the logline "while caring for grandma, Sam, the character played by Tom -- begins to question the nature of their relationship" -- and it shows his mastery of the craft. He even knows war films, which is my unique quality. If he ever gets into indie film podcasting, I can't say I wasn't warned about how great he'd be.In this episode, Tom and I talk about:save some talent for the rest of us, Tom -- acting, writing, producing, directing, ballet?!;how he got started in acting;how his approach evolved from ORANGE (2024) to OLIVE (2025);writing a script and playing a character you weren't expecting to play;when writing, directing, and acting becomes a bit too much in indie films;the challenges of casting in a world that cares more about celebrity and follower count than actual talent;how much being a stage actor matters;what does he look for in actors when he's casting his own projects;the best way to think about OLIVE before watching;what excites him about "telling stories with a twist", the motto of his production company;the festival circuit for his films and what advice he has for film festivals;what he's working on now and when people can expect to see OLIVE;whether we'll see him behind a camera and his great eye for war films.Tom's Indie Film Highlight: AMOUR (2012) dir. by Michael Haneke; THE PIANO TEACHER (2001) dir. by Michael Haneke; THE WHITE RIBBON (2009) dir. by Michael Haneke; WARFARE (2025) dir. by Ray Mendoza; Alex GarlandMemorable Quotes:"Nobody saw a stage play or school play of mine...when I was seven and said, oh, that kid.""The big thing that I changed for OLIVE was that ORANGE was really a proof of concept." About acting in OLIVE: "And there was a part of me that thought it would make things easier because I didn't have to find an actor and I didn't have to tell them what Sam was, in a way.""Sadly we're in a world now where we're competing with so many different productions and so many different artists, and funding for film is getting a bit harder because I don't know if people trust the medium as much as before."More about acting: "It's one of the only jobs where people get placed in it out of nowhere when it requires so much training and people go to school for four years to...get better at acting and do like classical work. You would never do that with an athlete.""I don't think it's necessary to do stage to be a great screen actor.""You can take a little bit more liberties with a short...people are not really behind your butt saying oh, you can't write this, you can't write that. Oh, you have to change the ending because you're you're doing your own thing. So it's perfect for that.""It's a very hard and tedious process where the cards are not in your hands and you work for a year on something that you create with a group of people. You put it on a Vimeo link and you pray.""They've watched thousands of films and they picked a few, and they're like, go watch those.""I feel like the more I act, the better director I can become."Links:Follow Tom On InstagramFollow OLIVE On InstagramWatch ORANGE NowSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/first-time-go/exclusive-content
Send us a textUseful beats clever, every time. We open with the hard truth about why most content and sales conversations miss: they're built for the creator, not the customer. From there we get tactical. Shannon and Cord map the journey from problem unaware to purchase-ready, sharing practical ways to qualify buyer knowledge, read heat, and design messages that fit each stage. If you've ever watched a good lead go cold after a feature dump, this conversation offers a cleaner path: serve first, sell second, and match your offer to what the buyer is ready to hear.Cord's background adds weight to the playbook. Raised on a working farm, sharpened in big-agency work in Chicago, and proven through scaling a national franchise footprint, he brings an operator's eye to marketing. We talk about turning seasonal spikes into steady pipelines, finding adjacent offers your customers already want, and raising lifetime value by simply being more useful. One standout example: shifting “spring service” outreach to fall, bundling pickup, tune-ups, and trickle chargers to smooth demand and increase trust. Small changes in timing and framing can unlock meaningful revenue without more noise. We also share where Shed Geek is headed next. Expect more topical, timely episodes that spotlight what matters now, live ad reads that keep promotions current, and sponsored newsletter segments that deliver value first. We're bringing more consumer-facing moments into a B2B space so manufacturers, RTO partners, and suppliers can speak directly to shed buyers' real questions. As AI reshapes search and discovery, teams that educate clearly and show outcomes will win the clicks—and the customers. If this conversation sparked an idea you can use this week, tap follow, share it with a teammate, and leave a quick review. Avicenne, Babinski, Charcot, Galien, Koch, Laennec, Pasteur... In this episode of Talkin' Hawks with the VandeBergs, Matt and Laura break down Iowa's emotional walk-off win over Michigan State—including Drew Stevens' senior day game-winner—and reflect on the heartfelt sideline moments surrounding longtime PA announcer Mark Abbott's retirement and Kelsey Laverdiere's final game in Kinnick. They also spotlight the unsung heroes of special teams and the offensive resilience shown in the fourth quarter.Men's basketball standout Cooper Koch joins the pod to discuss Iowa's undefeated start, his unique recruiting story, growing up in a competitive hoops household, and the cultural shift under Coach McCollum. He gives insight into leadership, conditioning, strategic defensive changes, and the intentional connection the team is building with students and fans. The episode closes with a preview of the upcoming matchup against Nebraska, highlighting key adjustments and what to watch for as the Hawks prepare to carry momentum into the rivalry game.
In this episode, I sit down with Kendra Koch, the founder of Divergently, a private community built for late-diagnosed neurodivergent women who want clarity, support, and a softer landing than the internet usually offers.Kendra came to this work through her own late diagnosis, years spent in the Silicon Valley wellness world, and a growing sense that the tools available to neurodivergent women were either too shallow, too loud, or too overwhelming to actually use. What started as her personal search for answers eventually became Divergently- a curated, trauma-aware space built to help women understand themselves and make daily life feel less chaotic and more doable. We cover a lot in this conversation, including:What it feels like to receive a diagnosis later in lifeWhy so many women only start connecting the dots after their kids begin evaluationsThe emotional and logistical realities of navigating care, systems, stigma, and uncertaintyHow trauma keeps showing up in ways many of us don't expectThe difference between “having information” and actually being supportedWhy “just disclose at work” isn't simple — or safe — advice for everyoneHow creating boundaries inside a community can be what makes it truly inclusiveThe small, practical shifts that make life less prickly: body doubling, environmental tweaks, lowering the bar in smart, supportive waysAnd how Kendra is building a company while raising a young child, healing, and moving at a pace that fits her real life — not the one hustle culture demandsThis conversation is thoughtful, honest, and full of moments that made me rethink how we support ourselves and each other. If you've ever felt like something wasn't quite adding up, or you've been searching for a place that feels safe and steady, you'll feel seen here.Where to find Kendra:Website: joinedivergently.comSocial: @joinedivergentlyLinkedIn: Kendra KochConnect with Ashley:Website: https://www.ashleyblackington.comPodcast website: https://www.andbothpodcast.com/Dovetail® App: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/dovetail-app/id6744341822Instagram: @mydovetail.appLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ashleyblackington/

My guest is Dr. Christof Koch, PhD, a pioneering researcher on the topic of consciousness, an investigator at the Allen Institute for Brain Science and the chief scientist at the Tiny Blue Dot Foundation. We discuss the neuroscience of consciousness—how it arises in our brain, how it shapes our identity and how we can modify and expand it. Dr. Koch explains how we all experience life through a unique “perception box,” which holds our beliefs, our memories and thus our biases about reality. We discuss how human consciousness is changed by meditation, non-sleep deep rest, psychedelics, dreams and virtual reality. We also discuss neuroplasticity (rewiring the brain), flow states and the ever-changing but also persistent aspect of the “collective consciousness” of humanity.
