This podcast is with one of the leading ladies of the bowhunting community who has climbed the ladder in the industry. I've gained a lot of respect for Jessica just in the decade I've seen her in the industry. I think it's important that more women and youth get into the outdoors but more importantly, stay there. Jess takes me down her timeline of her first hunts with her dad to being mentored by one of mine as well. This is a great podcast discussing personal pressure, growing up in bowhunting and unlocking new doors in the industry. Jessica is currently the Brand Relations Manager for Montana Knife Company.

In this eye-opening conversation, Matt Edmundson and William Gasner challenge conventional wisdom about influencer marketing. William reveals why the democratisation of social media has shifted power away from mega-influencers to smaller content creators who often deliver better engagement and conversion rates. The episode explores how the social media landscape has fundamentally changed—from platforms prioritising follower count to now favouring quality content regardless of audience size. William shares practical advice on implementing micro-influencer strategies, avoiding common pitfalls, and building long-term influencer relationships that drive authentic engagement.I wonder if your influencer marketing approach is still stuck in the old paradigm? Are you looking for more ways to spice things up in the bedroom? We've all heard the usual—lingerie, toys, candlelit date nights, maybe even a threesome. But have you ever wondered if the real magic has been there all along, just waiting for you to try? What if feeling more, instead of doing more, is what really lights the fire? Curious to find out?  In this special Language of Love Bite, I dive into something that's not just my newest obsession—it's the subject of my brand-new book: Sex Magic. The truth is, the pandemic—and everything that came after it—opened my eyes. I started seeing more and more people, whether in monogamous or non-monogamous relationships, desperately looking for ways to spice things up. And while the desire was valid, the strategies? Often risky. I heard from couples exploring threesomes, opening their relationships, chasing novelty in ways that were threatening the very foundations of their connection. But what if I told you that there are powerful, beautiful, time-tested ways to bring that spark back—and they've been around for thousands of years? That's where Sex Magic comes in. In this episode, I share: Why traditional advice on “spicing it up” only goes so far What the ancient traditions of Tantra, Taoism, and Kundalini can teach us about modern intimacy How to move sexual energy through your whole body—and even beyond A ritual you can use to manifest your desires during orgasm (yes, really) How sex magic can create emotional intimacy, spiritual connection, and even…miracles Whether you're solo or partnered, curious or all-in, this episode is your invitation to explore a whole new dimension of pleasure, connection, and personal power. Want to take it further? When you grab your copy of Sex Magic, you'll also receive bonus tools: My Quantum Sex web course A beautiful Sex Magic Ritual Journal A live initiation replay to help you get started Visit drlauraberman.com/sexmagic to learn more.  And if you try these practices or manifest something juicy, I want to hear from you! In this milestone 249th episode of The Business Development Podcast, Kelly Kennedy kicks off the highly requested Podcast Playbook series with brutal honesty and real talk about what it actually takes to start—and sustain—a successful podcast. As one of the few shows to break into the top 1% globally with over 250 episodes, Kelly shares the behind-the-scenes truths that most people won't tell you. From fighting fear and imposter syndrome to the time, cost, and consistency required, this episode lays bare the emotional and tactical realities of podcasting in 2025. If you've ever considered launching your own show, this episode will either light your fire—or save you from a painful false start.More than just a technical how-to, Part 1 is a mindset check. It answers the real question: Is podcasting right for you and your business? Kelly unpacks the power of podcasting as a long-term trust engine, global growth tool, and thought leadership platform—but only if you're truly ready to commit. Whether you're a business owner, executive, or aspiring content creator, this is your must-listen starting point. Get ready to decide: Are you in for the long game, or just flirting with the idea?Key Takeaways: 1. Podcasting is a long game that requires consistent effort before any return shows up. Expect to invest months, not weeks.2. If you don't genuinely enjoy it, you'll burn out. Passion and energy are what keep you going when it gets tough.3. The biggest challenge is internal. Fear, self-doubt, and ego will try to stop you more than any technical hurdle.4. If you're an expert in your field, you owe it to the next generation to share what you know.5. Chasing trends won't sustain you. Podcasting only works long term if you're doing it for the right reasons.6. Each episode takes real time. From prep to post-production, it's hours of effort per release.7. Podcasting is about trust. Your listeners build a relationship with you, and that connection is your real asset.8. Small audiences can be incredibly powerful. Fifty loyal listeners can change your business if they're the right ones.9. Your podcast should tie into your greater mission. Done well, it becomes a growth engine for visibility, leads, and reputation.10. There is no easy button. The only way to make podcasting work is to show up, stay committed, and keep improving every step of the way.Want to go deeper with business development, podcasting, and personal growth?Join The Catalyst Club — our private community for entrepreneurs, founders, and leaders who are serious about leveling up. Garth Heckman The David Alliance TDAgiantSlayer@Gmail.com    Why am I here? Who am I supposed to be? What is the point of life? These are great questions and I am sure we have all wrestled with them at some point, but they all come down to one main question… and that question is???? Thats where we are going today.    The question that answers every question…    Matt. 6:33 31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?' or ‘What shall we drink?' or ‘What shall we wear?' 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.   Seek the kingdom of God… right up front Jesus is saying change your perspective. Look eternally…      No purpose Fall into petty fears, worries, troubles, poor choices, self pity,  Which leads to weakness Which leads to sins Which leads to a flat and void existence full of failure, unhappiness, and questions of doubt.   You can have energy, you can have brains, you can have God, you can have money, you can have friends, you can have good looks, you can have titles… but if you have no purpose it feels even more meaningless.    What happens when you have a purpose?  Goals start to align. Systems start to form. People start to show up. Steps start to be taken. Resources start to flow, new ideas start to grow… a purpose is the dirt inwich you grow everything else. I can grow anything, anywhere just about anytime if I have dirt… but without dirt it aint going to happen.    How do you find your purpose… Ok, we know our overall purpose is to seek the Kingdom of God (that is doing things Gods way, with his heart and his commands… reach the world for Christ)  Great Garth, but can you be a little more practical… I will tell you what works for many…  Combine your passions, your gifting and your highs and ask yourself what people group does this line up with up best.  My passion is winning people to Christ My gifting is speaking, leading and equipping My high comes from seeing other people win. When I see someone that I spoke into, taught, equipped, loved on, poured into… when I see them succeed in their purpose… it fires me up!  And finally All of this is best suited for men. So… again.  Passion winning people to Christ Gifting speaking, leading equipping My high seeing other succeed Who is my audience? Im drawn specifically to men

Play Episode Listen Later Jun 24, 2025 104:07

We are back with Episode 94 of the Camerosity Podcast.  For this episode, we decided to revisit a topic we covered all the way back in Episode 30, which is talking about camera stores with people who work in camera stores. Joining us for the discussion are Meredith and Corey Reinker from Roberts Camera (aka UsedPhotoPro) in Indianapolis, Indiana and Zeb Andrews from Blue Moon Camera and Machine in Portland, Oregon.  Of course, two of the Camerosity hosts, Paul and Stephen both used to work in camera stores too, so between those four, we were well represented. Much has changed in the photography space since we did our last camera store episode.  Releases of new cameras like the Pentax 17, Rollei 35 AF, and recent announcements of a new "film like" digital Yashica SLR have caused a lot of ruckus and it will be interesting to hear how actual camera store people see these latest developments. Joining Paul, Stephen, Theo, Mike, and our special guests was a long list of callers including A.J. Gentile, Betty Ann Cochrane, Brad, Dan Hausman, Hong Lee, Howard Sandler, Larry Effler, Miles Libak, Pat Casey, Shane from  Discord, and Will Pinkham. During the show we ask Meredith, Corey, and Zeb a wide range of questions ranging from what differentiates their stores which has allowed them to remain successful well into the era of digital photography.  We cover what the modern camera store customer looks like today and what makes photography appealing to a younger crowd.  We cover both lab and home developing, what one camera both camera stores wish there was an unlimited amount of, how they acquire their inventory of used cameras, and Zeb shares a cool story about how Blue Moon developed a roll of film which had images of Mount St. Helens erupting. Mike gets excited that he received a bottle of the new Adox Syrup 110 developer and attempts to break down the myth that C41 home developing is difficult.  Theo and Zeb counter that you shouldn't be shamed into developing your own film and that the consistency of a professional lab is worth it. While most episodes are a lot of fun to record, while doing this one, it was amazing how fast the two hours went, and I wish we could have talked to Meredith, Corey, and Zeb longer.  Who knows, maybe we'll return for a third Camera Store episode some day! As always, the topics we discuss on the Camerosity Podcast are influenced by you!  Please don't feel like you have to be an expert on a specific type of camera, or have the level of knowledge on par with other people on the show.  We LOVE people who are into shooting or collecting cameras, no matter how long you've been doing it, so please don't consider your knowledge level to be a prerequisite for joining! The guys and I rarely know where each episode is going to go until it happens, so if you'd like to join us on a future episode, be sure to look out for our show announcements on our Camerosity Podcast Facebook page, the Camerosity Discord server, and right here on mikeeckman.com. We usually record every other Monday and announcements, along with the Zoom link are typically shared 2-3 days in advance. For our next episode, we don't have a dedicated topic and will open up the Zoom recording to anything you'd like to discuss.  If there have been any questions or topics from previous shows you'd like to revisit, or share with us your latest camera GAS pick up, we'd love to hear from you!  This next one will be a free for all!  We will record Episode 95 on Monday, July 7th at 7pm Central Daylight Time and 8pm Eastern Daylight Time. In this episode, I'm joined by Heather Thompson Day, whose insights challenge our perceptions of success, passion, and the presence of God in our lives. Heather boldly explores the idea that our true story isn't found in the circumstances we face, but rather in how we respond to them. We dive into themes from her powerful book, What If I'm Wrong?, discussing how passion is not about acclaim or abundance but about faithful presence even in uncertainty and failure. Together, we uncover how deeply God's faithfulness and presence are intertwined in our stories—especially when life doesn't go according to our plans. Heather's wisdom and authenticity offer a refreshing invitation to live with courage and purpose, even when we're navigating doubts and difficulties. So join us for an honest conversation about embracing passion, redefining success, and finding peace in God's enduring presence.Dr. Heather Thompson Day is an interdenominational speaker, an ECPA bestseller, and has been a contributor for Religion News Service, Christianity Today, Newsweek and the Barna Group. Her new podcast, What If I'm Wrong? debuted in the top 200 of all Christian podcasts. Heather was a communication professor for nearly 15 years teaching both graduate and undergraduate students in Public Speaking, Persuasion, and Social Media. She is now the founder of It Is Day Ministries, a nonprofit organization that trains churches, leaders, and laypeople in what Heather calls Cross Communication, a gospel centered communication approach that points you higher, to the cross, every time you open your mouth. Heather's writing has been featured on outlets like the Today Show, and the National Communication Association. She has been interviewed by BBC Radio Live and The Wall Street Journal. She believes her calling is to stand in the gaps of our churches. Hi everyone! Welcome back to another episode of The Chai on Life Podcast. I'm Alex Segal and today, I have Elisheva Liss, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist on the show. Elisheva works with individuals and couples to help improve their quality of life and relationships — most commonly treating depression, anxiety, relationship problems and anything dealing with intimacy. She has a collaborative approach, which means she looks at her work as a partnership with each client. In this episode, we basically have a mini (or honestly, extended) therapy session about a lot of common issues women may be dealing with in the religious community, outside of it and in the unique time we're living in.As frum Jewish women, we live a beautiful life with holy values. We plan and often host Shabbat meals every week, opening our homes to those who need it. We bake challah, daven, say Tehillim, try to do chesed when we can, often work outside of the home, raise children, try to be a giving and loving wife, find time to learn and grow as people, find time for our own wellbeing and self-care with exercise, preparing healthy meals, maybe even our own therapy, we prepare simchas for our families, make time for friends to nourish ourselves and focus on what's going on in their lives, and so much more — the list goes on.Even just crafting this list — which I'm sure is still missing a lot — shows me just how much we may have on our plates at any given time. So especially when you lean more to the overachieving, perfectionist side of the mental health spectrum, it can often feel like you're not measuring up. We are taught that Hashem gives us time to partner with Hashem in this world, and the worst feeling is to feel like we're not utilizing that potential. How do we know when it's enough? How do we feel okay with just not being able to do it all?So I brought on Elisheva Liss to help me work through this concept. She is a beautiful, well-spoken therapist who actually has her own book called “Find Your Horizon of Healthy Thinking: Hack Your Thoughts and Improve Your Mood” which really was a perfect match for this topic. In our conversation, we speak about the pressures frum women face today, how to feel more comfortable with where we're at in this exact moment and how to use our brains to develop a healthier way of thinking and honestly, enjoy the lives that we're leading. Here, the books she shares in the episode:168 Hours: You Have More Time Than You Think by Laura VanderkamThe Rhythm of Life: Living Every Day with Passion and Purpose by Matthew KellySlowing Down to the Speed of Life — by Richard Carlson and Joseph BaileyBittersweet by Susan CainFollow Elisheva on Instagram here.Join her weekly newsletter here.
