Seems like this isn't the first time Mrs. Clause has run off to an exotic location filled with thirsty dudes. “Finding Mrs. Claus” is one of those movies that exists in a very specific cinematic snow globe, and if you've spent any time in that globe, you already know exactly what you're getting. This is pure Lifetime Christmas programming: wholesome, gentle, slightly artificial, and utterly uninterested in surprising you. It's not bad, not embarrassing, and not particularly memorable—it's just there, humming softly like a string of pre-lit lights you forgot to unplug. The premise is simple and relentlessly pleasant: Santa's been neglecting Mrs. Clause after 500 years of marriage, so she whisks off to Las Vegas to help fulfill a girls dream of her mother finding a new husband. Mira Sorvino brings a level of competence and warmth that slightly exceeds the material, which helps the movie coast along without ever fully collapsing under its own predictability. Everyone involved seems perfectly aware of the assignment and executes it with calm professionalism. Ultimately, “Finding Mrs. Claus” is a textbook example of its genre. If you enjoy Lifetime or Hallmark Christmas movies, this is a pretty good one and will likely deliver exactly the cozy, low-effort holiday vibes you're looking for. If you don't like those movies, absolutely skip this—there is nothing here that will convert you. It's not trying to win over skeptics, and frankly, it doesn't need to.

He beat out fellow finalists Diego Pavia, Jeremiyah Love and Julian Sayin by a wide margin. Week 15 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2025-2026 season is now in the books as they absolutely destroyed the Las Vegas Raiders at The Linc by a score of 31-0. After a three game losing streak, this is the game the Eagles needed to give them a confidence boost as they head into the final games of this regular season. We saw an Eagles offense that was, at times, creative and utilized effective play design. Jalen Hurts not only used his legs more effectively in the RPO game, but he also threw three touchdowns. The defense was totally dominant, holding the Raiders offense to just 72 net yards. This team is now 9-5 on the season and are still at the top of the NFC East division.As always, we gave our top themes, thoughts and opinions from the game on offense, defense, and special teams. SYRACUSE ARTIST WINS INTERNATIONAL ILLUSTRATION CONTEST Upcoming Hollywood Awards Event HOLLYWOOD, CA - Syracuse, Utah artist Tray Streeter is a winner in the L. Ron Hubbard Illustrators of the Future Contest earning him a trip to Hollywood for a week-long master-class workshop, an awards event and his illustration will be published in the international bestselling anthology, L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future Volume 42. Tray Streeter grew up in Syracuse, Utah. Like many children, he spent much of his childhood drawing, though he was especially interested in still lifes. That fascination with technique deepened in his teenage years after he received a set of oil paints for Christmas, leading him to study the works of John Singer Sargent and Caravaggio. Portraiture became his passion, one that continues to influence his work today. It was not until adulthood, when he began working digitally, that he turned his attention to sci-fi and fantasy art. The genre offered him the freedom to create artworks that exist beyond reality. Influenced by artists like Frank Frazetta and Alex Ross, he aims to combine both the drama and technique of classical painting with the sleek, contemporary possibilities of digital art. Currently, Tray is attending Weber State University, pursuing a BFA in Art with a 2D emphasis. After graduation, he hopes to continue his studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Ultimately, he aspires to illustrate for Dungeons & Dragons, work on cover illustration for comics, and develop his own original concepts. The Writers of the Future Contest judges include Tim Powers (author of On Stranger Tides), Kevin J. Anderson and Brian Herbert (Dune prequel series), Robert J. Following the 1982 release of his internationally acclaimed bestselling science fiction novel, Battlefield Earth, written in celebration of 50 years as a professional writer, L. Ron Hubbard created the Writers of the Future (writersofthefuture.com) in 1983 to provide a means for aspiring writers of speculative fiction to get that much-needed break. Due to the success of the Writers of the Future Contest, the companion Illustrators of the Future Contest was inaugurated five years later. In the spring, Edward Brandon Becham was caring for his dying wife. He was also among hundreds of thousands of federal workers weighing whether to abandon public service. Donald Trump had taken office vowing to slash the federal bureaucracy, then entrusted the task to billionaire Elon Musk and a newly created cost-cutting team called the Department of Government Efficiency. In a matter of months, Musk and his U.S. DOGE Service wiped out hundreds of thousands of jobs, billions of dollars in spending and the job security that once distinguished government work.Of America's 2.4 million federal workers, nearly 4 in 10 registered to vote had, like Becham, cast ballots for Trump, according to a Washington Post-Ipsos poll. But as the days passed, Becham was becoming convinced that the Trump administration's treatment of government employees — large-scale firings, emails he saw as harassing and strict return-to-office mandates — was wrongheaded and cruel. If he was unable to resign, Brandon would be required to report to a federal building in Las Vegas more than 70 miles away. Round-trip, it would cost him three hours a day with his three children, for whom he would soon be the only parent and sole provider.Becham felt as though he was witnessing two painful deaths: his wife's, of course, but also that of his career. In his darkest moments, Brandon turned to his Bible — and next to it, his leather-bound diary.This story follows Becham and his family for a week as he navigated his feelings about his wife, family, his career and Trump.Hannah Natanson reported and narrated the piece.
