Romans 7:4 — The truth that all Christians are united with Christ changes everything. It is no overstatement to say that the doctrine of Christians' union with Christ is one the most important truths for anyone to understand. It is this glorious doctrine that Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones expounds in this sermon on Romans 7:4 titled “Union With Christ: Its Nature.” Looking at the apostle Paul's epistle to the Romans, he shows that those who believe in the gospel have been delivered from sin and darkness once and for all. While all are born in Adam, all who believe are born supernaturally into Christ Jesus. It means that the law of sin and death no longer reigns in the Christian, and that they are now part of God's family and now forgiven from all sin. They are safe in salvation as Christ is loving and powerful. This doctrine is the ultimate hope against all depression, sorrow, and loneliness because it teaches that Christians have a great friend in Jesus. Listeners are encouraged to ask: “do you believe in Jesus? Do you believe that He has died for sinners? Do you have assurance that God loves?” There is great hope to all who have truly forsaken themselves and put their trust in Jesus. Regenerative agriculture isn't new. To quote today's guest, it's an “exciting old thing.” Yet in the modern world, this ancient, innate wisdom often feels forgotten, and the consequences show up in our food system, in our health, and in the climate. At its core, the challenge isn't just about farming practices, it's about how we see ourselves in relation to the land.In this episode, Monica sits down with journalist and author Kelsey Timmerman to explore what it means to belong to a place rather than own it. From Hawaiian teachings about belonging to a river to the idea that each of us carries with us a heart of the world, Kelsey invites us to rethink our connection to the Earth.Together, we dive into the paradox of hope in the face of devastation, why the people most connected to the land often carry the most optimism, and how agency and reverence can help us meet the urgent challenges of climate change.Show NotesAbout Kelsey TimmermanRegenerating Earth: Farmers Working with Nature to Feed Our Future by Kelsey TimmermanWhere Am I Eating? In this urgent and eye-opening conversation, Michael Jaco sits down with Sheila Holm to uncover the hidden agendas threatening America's families, schools, and future. They examine the controversy surrounding Charlie Kirk and what it reveals about the larger orchestrated efforts to silence conservative voices and destabilize society. From radicalized school systems to the systematic destruction of the family unit, Michael and Sheila expose how socialism, fascism, and communism are being woven into the fabric of American life. Drawing on Sheila's extensive research and books, they reveal historic patterns of manipulation, the infiltration of secret societies, and the role of the media in pushing false narratives. Together, they connect these dots to the global deep state agenda and call for vigilance, faith, and citizen action to protect children, preserve family integrity, and reclaim America's soul. This is more than a podcast — it's a rallying cry for patriots, parents, and truth-seekers who refuse to surrender the next generation.

This lecture discusses key ideas from the ancient philosopher and statesman Marcus Tullius Cicero's work, On The Nature Of The Gods, which critically examines Epicurean, Stoic, and Skeptic perspectives on matters of theology and cosmology Specifically it focuses upon the presentation of Stoic cosmology and theology by Quintus Lucilius Balbus in book 2, and in particular on his discussion of the perfection and beauty of the super-lunary realm, which includes the planets, the sun and moon, and the fixed stars. The ancients thought that these heavenly bodies exhibited perfect order and regularity in their motions, which are either the rotation of the sphere of the heavens, or the circular orbits of the planets, sun, and moon. Across India and around the world, communities are resisting destruction and reclaiming their right to shape their own futures. Shrishtee Bajpai, researcher and activist with the Global Tapestry of Alternatives, reveals how local struggles for self-determination connect across cultures and what is being done to weave a 'pluriverse' of possibilities rooted in social and ecological justice. Highlights include: How Shrishtee's upbringing as an upper caste, urban Indian girl living along the river Ganga shaped her search for personal freedom and ecological and social justice; How her work with Indian village communities resisting ecological and social destruction helped her connect academic critiques of feminism and development to lived realities; How she challenges oppressive systems while also interrogating her own privilege and colonial inheritance; Why creating a 'pluriverse' of diverse, locally-rooted alternatives is essential to move beyond the dominant development model and progress narrative; Why the Global Tapestry of Alternatives supports 'radiating out' values and lessons rather than 'scaling up', which risks destroying the important nuance of local context; Why strengthening communities' imagination, confidence, and self-determination is central to her work; Why the Rights of Nature movement must de-emphasize the perspectives of NGOs and governments and center the voice of local communities with long-standing connections to their environments; How profound experiences with the more-than-human world and with story-based community ritual sustain her work. The podcast explores needed narrative, behavioral, and system shifts for recreating human life in balance with all life on Earth. With expert guests from wide-ranging disciplines, we examine the forces underlying overshoot: from patriarchal pronatalism that is fueling overpopulation, to growth-biased economic systems that lead to consumerism and social injustice, to the dominant worldview of human supremacy that subjugates animals and nature. Our vision of shrinking toward abundance inspires us to seek pathways of transformation that go beyond technological fixes toward a new humanity that honors our interconnectedness with all beings. Send us a textHave you ever felt a strange pull toward a specific tree in a forest, or found yourself inexplicably drawn to a particular stone? That's no coincidence—it's the earth element calling to you, inviting you to remember an ancient conversation we've nearly forgotten. In this soul-stirring exploration of the earth element, I guide you through accessible practices to rebuild your connection with the natural world. Our modern lives, saturated with digital distractions and constant connectivity to technology rather than nature, have severed our ancestral bond with the earth. Yet this foundation element remains essential for manifesting our dreams, creating stability, and experiencing true abundance in all forms.Through detailed instruction, you'll learn to communicate with trees using your expanded energy field and receptive awareness. Unlike human conversation, tree wisdom comes through multiple channels—bodily sensations, mental images, emotional impressions, or simply knowing. I share my personal experiences communicating with trees since childhood and how these relationships become powerful allies on your spiritual journey. The episode also covers crystal communication techniques. Unlike trees that project energy outward, rocks require you to bring your awareness inward, creating a shared consciousness. For beginners, rock divination offers a simple yet profound practice—finding symbols in stone patterns that provide guidance on life's challenges.Creating your personalized earth practice doesn't require elaborate tools or extensive knowledge. It starts with selecting a sacred space, incorporating natural elements that resonate with your specific needs, and approaching the practice with reverence and intention. Whether you seek emotional stability, mental clarity, or physical healing, the earth element can be customized to address your unique journey.Podcast ReferencesReiki Level 1 - Season 6 Episode 2 & 3Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Magical HerbsIf you are local to the Seattle, WA area - Join me at my Medicine Rattle Making Workshop on November 16, 2025. In this episode, we welcome the internationally acclaimed educator and writer, Didi Pershouse [https://didipershouse.substack.com/], as she discusses the urgent need for rehydrating California. With her expertise from the Land and Leadership initiative and the Wisdom Underground podcast, Didi shares actionable insights on restoring the hydrological cycle and soil health. Join us as we explore the interconnectedness of water, climate, and biodiversity, and discover how local actions can lead to significant environmental change. We have much to learn about how to respect, honor and reciprocate life to water in our daily lives and in our times. While water is abundant, we have in a short amount of time created scarcity. We can change that. It starts with us, our behaviors, our thoughts & intentions, our actions. Can We Rehydrate CA is a multi-stakeholder initiative tapping into the ingenuity of human and natural communities with the goal of creating conditions in which the soil sponge regenerates, a fully functional water cycle is restored, and more people are involved in asking (and answering) questions about water. Rehydration would reduce wildfires, raise the water table, improve water (and air) quality, lengthen the green growing season, moderate air temperatures and restore biodiversity. Environmental neuroscientist Marc Berman drops a revelation that could transform how you think about your daily struggles with focus, stress, and mental clarity: your brain has two completely different attention systems, and modern life is systematically destroying one of them. While we scroll through endless feeds believing we're taking "mental breaks," we're actually depleting the very cognitive resource we need most to achieve our goals, control our impulses, and become our best selves. Berman's groundbreaking research reveals that something as simple as a 20-minute walk in nature can be as effective as ADHD medication for focus, while looking at curved edges in natural environments literally makes people think more about spirituality. You'll discover why your environment isn't just influencing your mood—it's rewiring your brain, shaping your behavior, and determining whether you become the person you're capable of being.Marc's book Nature and the Mind: The Science of How Nature Improves Cognitive, Physical, and Social Well-BeingIn this episode you will:Discover the two attention systems in your brain and why one is being hijacked by modern technology, leaving you mentally fatigued and unable to focus on what matters mostTransform your understanding of "rest" by learning why scrolling social media when tired actually drains you further, while nature exposure restores your cognitive batteryBreak through mental fog and decision fatigue using Berman's five daily strategies that environmental neuroscientists use to optimize their brains for peak performanceUncover shocking research showing that 11 trees per city block provides health benefits equivalent to a $20,000 income increase, and why hospital patients with nature views heal a full day fasterHarness the power of "softly fascinating" environments that capture your involuntary attention while allowing your directed attention to recover, making you sharper and more resilientFor more information go to https://lewishowes.com/1824For more Greatness text PODCAST to +1 (614) 350-3960More SOG episodes we think you'll love:Dr. Kevin Tracey – greatness.lnk.to/1812SCDr. Andrew Huberman – greatness.lnk.to/1219SCDr. Caroline Leaf – greatness.lnk.to/1785SC Get more from Lewis! Many psychiatric labels—like bipolar disorder and schizophrenia—can obscure underlying biology, and symptom checklists often fail to explain or heal what's really going on. Emerging evidence reframes mental illness as a problem of brain energy, mitochondria, and inflammation—shaped by insulin signaling, circadian rhythm disruption, the gut–brain axis, toxins, infections, and nutrient status. Metabolic interventions such as ketogenic nutrition, already established for epilepsy, show promise for rebalancing neurotransmitters, lowering neuroinflammation, and improving overall brain function. With depression now a leading cause of disability, shifting from “manage the symptoms” to “fix the biology” could dramatically improve outcomes where standard drugs fall short. In this episode, Dr. Christopher Palmer, Dr. Todd LePine, Dr. Iain Campbell and I explore how rethinking mental illness as a metabolic and inflammatory disorder of the brain—rather than just a chemical imbalance—could transform the treatment and prevention of conditions like depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. Dr. Chris Palmer is a psychiatrist and researcher working at the interface of metabolism and mental health. He is the Director of the Department of Postgraduate and Continuing Education at McLean Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. For over 25 years, he has held leadership roles in psychiatric education, conducted research, and worked with people who have treatment-resistant mental illnesses. He has been pioneering the use of the medical ketogenic diet in the treatment of psychiatric disorders - conducting research in this area, treating patients, writing, and speaking around the world on this topic. More broadly, he is interested in the roles of metabolism and metabolic interventions on brain health. Dr. Todd LePine graduated from Dartmouth Medical School and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, specializing in Integrative Functional Medicine. He is an Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner. Prior to joining The UltraWellness Center, he worked as a physician at Canyon Ranch in Lenox, MA, for 10 years. Dr. LePine's focus at The UltraWellness Center is to help his patients achieve optimal health and vitality by restoring the natural balance to both the mind and the body. His areas of interest include optimal aging, bio-detoxification, functional gastrointestinal health, systemic inflammation, autoimmune disorders, and the neurobiology of mood and cognitive disorders. Dr. lain Campbell is the first academic research fellow to specialise in Metabolic Psychiatry as the Baszucki Research Fellow in Metabolic Psychiatry at the University of Edinburgh. He has a PhD in Global Health from the University of Edinburgh and is a principal investigator on a pilot trial of a ketogenic diet for bipolar disorder. He is a workstream lead and co-investigator on the first publicly funded research hub for Metabolic Psychiatry, the UKRI Medical Research Council Hub for Metabolic Psychiatry at the University of Edinburgh. His research in metabolic psychiatry has been published in Nature press journals Molecular Psychiatry and Translational Psychiatry and presented at Mayo Clinic Grand Rounds and The Royal College of Psychiatrists International Congress. Welcome back to Beautifully Broken, where healing meets high performance. In this episode, I sit down with Dean Hall—an inspiring adventurer whose story blends tragedy, survival, and extraordinary feats. Dean's life was upended by the sudden loss of his wife and a severe cancer diagnosis. Instead of surrendering, he swam the entire 187‑mile length of Oregon's Willamette River, while living with active cancer. That grueling, frigid journey led to a radical remission—one medicine declared impossible.Dean then turned to forest bathing—walking and sleeping under ancient trees—to heal physically and emotionally. Through intentionally connecting with nature, including ice‑bath practice, he not only restored his body but resurrected his spirit. His path reframes traditional psychology around "BioWild," a nature‑rooted approach emphasizing flow, recharge, and giving from abundance. It's a story of resilience, purpose, and honoring your body's intelligence. Tune in for lessons on mindset, radical ownership of your health, and how to find healing in wild places.Episode Highlights[00:00] - Dean's life-changing swim and the shocking moment his leukemia seemingly vanished[02:16] - Holding two world records and the physical toll of cold, open water endurance swims[05:14] - The technique behind “total immersion” swimming and the deeper mindset required[10:23] - Losing his wife to a brain tumor and the raw truth about navigating profound grief[22:08] - Moving back to Oregon, rediscovering purpose, and a sixth-grade journal that sparked the dream[30:45] - Rebuilding from rock bottom—Dean's first swim back and the power of momentum[36:10] - The unexpected hero: Dean's 79-year-old dad joins him for the 187-mile river journey[51:26] - Radical remission: the first blood test results that stunned Dean's oncologist[58:08] - Healing in the forest: how nature, solitude, and emotion unlocked true recovery[1:08:13] - Introducing “BioWild Psychology”—Dean's nature-based model for lasting mental and emotional health[1:15:10] - A message for anyone facing illness: reclaim your identity and be your own advocateLinks & Resources:Dean's Website: https://www.thewildcureway.com/“The Wild Cure” book: https://www.thewildcureway.com/booksUpgrade Your HealthThe Biological Blueprint Course: https://www.beautifullybroken.world/biological-blueprintEarn 200 in BitCoin + Change your health BEAM Minerals: beamminerals.com/beautifullybrokenCode: BEAUTIFULLYBROKENLightPathLED: lightpathled.pxf.io/c/3438432/2059835/25794Code: beautifullybrokenSilver Biotics Wound Healing Gel: bit.ly/3JnxyDD30% off with Code: BEAUTIFULLYBROKENStemRegen: stemregen.co/products/stemregen?_ef_transaction_id=&oid=1&affid=52Code: beautifullybroken CONNECT WITH FREDDIEWork with Me: https://www.beautifullybroken.world/biological-blueprintWebsite and Store: (http://www.beautifullybroken.world) Instagram: (https://www.instagram.com/beautifullybroken.world/) YouTube: (https://www.youtube.com/@freddiekimmel Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. A Sunday Conversation with David Alan Carmichael - Faith, Freedom, and the Fight Against Fear https://robertscottbell.com/a-sunday-conversation-with-david-alan-carmichael-faith-freedom-and-the-fight-against-fear/ This Sunday, I'll be joined by my dear friend David Alan Carmichael, a man who has stood boldly for religious and spiritual freedom in ways that most people can hardly imagine. David has been on the front lines when it comes to confronting a secular government that seeks to bind us in fear and restrict our God-given liberty. Together, we'll explore what it really means to live by faith when the world tells you to bow to fear. We'll reflect on the shocking assassination of Charlie Kirk, a man of courage and conviction, and what his example calls us to do in this pivotal moment. David and I will discuss whether we respond with fear and retreat—or with courage, faith, and a determination to carry on the mission God has given us. This isn't about politics. It's about standing boldly in truth, no matter the cost. David will also share his remarkable personal journey—suing the U.S. government, fighting to live without a Social Security number, and challenging the system when it tried to enslave him and his family. He'll explain how he and his children have lived faithfully outside of that system, and why their fight for passports and basic freedoms has now reached all the way to the Supreme Court. What makes this conversation so powerful is the testimony of miracles along the way. From divine appointments with judges and lawyers to victories that defy logic, David's story is proof that God is not limited by man's rules. You'll hear how faith, obedience, and courage have opened doors no government could shut, and how these battles for liberty are about more than just documents—they're about living as free men and women under God. This Sunday Conversation will not only challenge the way you think about freedom, government, and faith, but it will also inspire you to stand boldly in your own calling. We'll remind you that true freedom comes from God alone, and that even in the darkest moments, love and truth light the way. Don't miss this powerful discussion with David Alan Carmichael—it may just change the way you see your role in the fight for liberty.https://boxcast.tv/view/a-sunday-conversation-with-david-alan-carmichael---faith-freedom-and-the-fight-against-fear---the-rsb-show-9-14-25-xgvgziwj0pktyzkhrovf Please read this disclaimer carefully before you (“you”, “your”) use our [Your Website URL] website (“website”, “service”) operated by the [Your Business Name] (“operator”, “us”, “we”, “our”). This lecture discusses key ideas from the ancient philosopher and statesman Marcus Tullius Cicero's work, On The Nature Of The Gods, which critically examines Epicurean, Stoic, and Skeptic perspectives on matters of theology and cosmology Specifically it focuses upon the presentation of Stoic cosmology and theology by Quintus Lucilius Balbus in book 2, and in particular on his discussion of a number of dimensions to the world and universe which we can contemplate the beauty of, and thereby come to an appreciation of providential and intelligent ordering of the universe. These include the earth itself, the ocean, the air, and the aether or the heavens. What if the secret to attracting more wealth and love was already written in the cycles of nature? In this episode, I explore how the natural rhythms of yin and yang influence every area of our lives—from the seasons and the moon to our own personal energy. I share how the wisdom of feng shui helps us align with these cycles, and why honoring the dance between yin (reflection, rest, planting seeds of intention) and yang (action, growth, manifestation) is so powerful for creating abundance and love. Through my own stories—like manifesting my soulmate and even a dream car—I'll show you how to let go of the past, set clear intentions, and take aligned action. Whether you're calling in love, prosperity, or fresh new opportunities, this episode will inspire you to move in harmony with nature and flourish in every area of your life. Key Takeaways: The ancient practice of feng shui shows us how to harness these cycles to create abundance, love, and harmony. Planting intentions, nurturing them with energy and belief, and taking aligned action brings wealth into reality. Prosperity and love flourish when you honor the rhythm of both yin (inner work) and yang (outer action). Self-care, reflection, and releasing the past open space for the relationship you desire. The books have been reviewed by the New York Times, Nature, Philosophy of Science, Christianity Today, and many other periodicals. Darwin's Black Box has sold over 250,000 copies and was internationally reviewed in over one hundred publications.
In this episode, Jay speaks with Sebastian Leape, CEO of Natcap, about how nature intelligence is transforming corporate sustainability and climate finance. Sebastian explains how Natcap helps companies turn nature data - from deforestation and water use to ecosystem dependencies - into business strategy that drives resilience and growth. They discuss why nature risk is financial risk, the rising influence of TNFD and CSRD, and why biodiversity offsets aren't the silver bullet many hope for.Give it a listen to learn why nature belongs on the balance sheet and how businesses can prepare for a nature-positive future.Resources:Natcap Website: https://natcapresearch.com/--About:Untangling Climate Finance explores the dynamic field of climate change finance through conversations with industry experts about topics including climate solutions, global carbon markets, carbon projects, novel technologies such as AI and distributed ledger, and much more.If you have any questions, comments, a future guest recommendation, or are interested in joining Jay for an episode, please shoot him a message at: jtipton@gordianknotstrategies.comCredits:The podcast is produced by Gordian Knot Strategies. It is written, narrated, and edited by Jay Tipton.Music is by Diamond_Tunes.
Idle listener: thou mayest believe me without any oath that I would this podcast, as it is the child of our brain, were the fairest, gayest, and cleverest that could be imagined. But I could not counteract Nature's law that everything shall beget its like; and what, then, could this sterile, illtilled wit of ours beget but the study of a dry, shrivelled, whimsical man, in arts beset by drunken dads and sickly pale horses, by guitar playing ladies and miniature squires, by star wars heads and amalgamate uma musume. My wish would be simply to present it to thee plain and unadorned, without any embellishment of preface or uncountable muster of customary sonnets, epigrams, and questions, such as are commonly put in the episode description; I have given thee condensed all the squirely drolleries that are scattered through the swarm of these vain images of Don Quixote. And so—may God give thee health, and not forget us. Vale.
