The CEO of Heart Aerospace describes the development of a hybrid-electric 30-seat regional commercial aircraft. In the news, a near miss at Boston Logan between a landing Delta Air Lines flight and a departing American Airlines flight, NASA's Advanced Aircraft Concepts for Environmental Sustainability 2050 (AACES) program, Canada’s purchase of F-35A fighters and possibly Saab Gripens, and Canada’s look at early-warning-radar planes. Guest Anders Forslund is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Heart Aerospace, formed to electrify short-haul regional aviation. Heart Aerospace is developing the ES-30, a hybrid-electric 30-seat regional commercial aircraft. Heart is currently in upstate New York, testing the X1 demonstrator aircraft, which the company says will be the largest electric aircraft ever to fly. The company is backed by Bill Gates' Breakthrough Ventures and Y Combinator, as well as operator/investors United Airlines and Air Canada. Anders explains Heart Aerospace’s mission to lower the cost of air travel and how their clean-sheet Part 25 airliner will achieve about a 40% reduction in overall operating costs. The ES-30 will be an electric-motor-and-turboprop hybrid, while the full-scale X1 prototype is all-electric. The X1 demonstrator has completed low-speed taxi testing at the company’s X1 flight-test base at Plattsburgh International Airport in upstate New York. First flight is expected shortly, with type certification planned for 2031. Video: Heart X1 Completes Low-Speed Taxi Testing https://youtu.be/5jkyKevsJNI?si=1xreSjh_gRcI6xu2 Anders tells us about the Heart team and how aerospace development has changed in the last decade. The company strives to manage uncertainty rather than minimize it, holds itself accountable, and sets falsifiable goals. Before starting Heart, Anders was an aerospace researcher at Chalmers, where he was a driving force behind the Elise-Electric Aviation research project in Sweden, funded by the Swedish innovation agency Vinnova. He spent 2013-2014 at MIT, where his work on geometric variation of aerospace components was awarded the Charles M. Manly Memorial Medal. He is also a founding member of the Nordic Network for Electric Aviation. Anders has a Ph.D. in Aerospace Product Development and a B.Sc. in Engineering Physics from Chalmers. He has a dual M.Sc. in Astronautics and Space Engineering from Cranfield University and Luleå University, as part of the SpaceMaster program. He is also a member of Prince Daniel’s Fellowship for young entrepreneurs. Follow Heart Aerospace on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn. Aviation News Horrifying Near Miss at Boston Logan as Quick-Thinking Delta Air Pilots Go Around to Avoid Landing On Top of American Airlines Boeing 737 Delta Air Lines flight DL-2351, an Airbus A319 flying from Dallas, was landing at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), was cleared to land on runway 33L. Moments later, American Airlines flight AA-3161, a Boeing 737-800, was cleared to take off for Charlotte from intersecting runway 27. The pilots repeated the instruction back to the controller, and after about 40 seconds, started the takeoff. As Delta flight 2351 was about to touch down, the pilots saw the American Airlines plane and executed a go-around. That was followed by the air traffic controller asking the American flight, “American, where are you going?” Listen to the Incident Audio via @xJonNYC. Electra reveals 100-seat hybrid-electric aircraft concept Electra developed the concept under NASA's Advanced Aircraft Concepts for Environmental Sustainability 2050 (AACES) program. NASA has commissioned industry and academia to “develop transformative aircraft designs, propulsion technologies, and sustainability solutions for commercial aviation by 2050.” Electra's large airliner concept features a wide “double-bubble” fuselage that generates lift. Propulsion comes from two turbofans under the wings that produce thrust and electricity, as well as three fans mounted on the top of the aft fuselage. Electra says those fans would “ingest and re-energise slower-moving air over the fuselage, a technique known as boundary layer ingestion.” Other AACES participants include the Georgia Institute of Technology with the Liquefied Natural Gas Powered Athena Aircraft Concept, and JetZero with a hydrogen fueled blended wing body design. Congress Questions Air Force's Combat Rescue Readiness As HH-60W Helicopters Get Turned Into VIP Transports The Senate Armed Services Committee filed S. 4784, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2027 (NDAA), which establishes funding levels and authorities for the U.S. military. The 66th annual NDAA supports a total of $1.15 trillion in FY 2027 funding for national defense. In its report [PDF], the Committee expresses concern “about combat search and rescue (CSAR) force structure in the Air Force. In recent years, the Air Force truncated the buy of HH-60Ws and has since transferred 26 HH-60Ws from units responsible for CSAR operations to the Air Force District Washington (AFDW) to replace H-1 helicopters. AFDW uses these helicopters to support contingency response, homeland operations, and ceremonial honors in the National Capital Region. “The committee believes that these actions have left CSAR forces unnecessarily short of the forces needed to support CSAR operations in a major contingency. Therefore, the committee directs the Secretary of the Air Force to conduct a study of CSAR requirements and capabilities, including HH-60Ws and HC-130Js, and provide a report and briefing on that study to the congressional defense committees, not later than March 31, 2027. “Furthermore, the committee directs the Secretary to avoid making any changes in CSAR force structure until the study is completed and he or she has provided the results of that study to the Congress.” Canada Plans Fleet Surge to 140+ Fighters as Low Cost Gripens Reduce Expenses According to informed sources, the Royal Canadian Air Force plans to grow its fighter fleet to 140, possibly by purchasing Saab Gripen jets. Canada has planed to purchase 88 F-35A fighters, but that could drop to 70, accompanied by 70 Gripens. Saab offered to establish final assembly, maintenance, and long-term industrial support in Canada. This would transfer technology and intellectual property to Canada. Under the F-35 program, sustainment and software updates are centralized in the United States. Canada to buy Swedish surveillance plane over US models Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced that Canada would not purchase early-warning-radar planes from the United States. Instead, they will purchase Saab’s GlobalEye, which is based on the Bombardier Global 6500 jet, manufactured in Canada. Price and fleet size were not announced. Saab said in a statement that as part of any deal, the company would invest in research and development work in Canada. The U.S. plans to reduce the number of aircraft for NATO operations, another A-10 lifeline appears, and discussions about restarting C-17 production. Also, owner-produced airplane parts, airport weirdos, a new album from Speed Brake Armed, how the NTSB uses audio spectrograms, lying flat on a broken Polaris seat, and Roman Numerals. Aviation News US Plans Major Cut to Fighter Jets, Warships for NATO Operations in Europe, NYT Reports Citing European officials, the New York Times reported that the U.S. plans to reduce the number of F-16 and F-15E fighter jets from roughly 150 to 100. Maritime reconnaissance aircraft would be cut from 26 to 15, and all eight aerial refueling tankers would be pulled. The New York Times said the U.S. aims to redeploy a missile-launching submarine and an aircraft carrier, along with several warships and jets that join the carrier's missions. One of two groups of bombers previously assigned for Europe's defense may also be reallocated. NATO spokesperson Allison Hart told Reuters, “Historically, there has been an over-reliance on U.S. forces and capabilities.” The U.S. European Command said in a statement that it would “rightsize” its contributions to the NATO Force Model. Congress Throws A-10 Warthog Another Lifeline The A-10 end of life is scheduled for 2030. Depot-level maintenance has stopped, and the 571st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, has ended. The A-10 Weapons School is scheduled to end this year. However, an amendment to the House Armed Services Committee's version of the National Defense Authorization bill seeks to keep the Warthog alive. The amendment calls for the Air Force to keep supporting A-10 training, testing, experimentation, maintenance, and sustainment efforts. Other requirements include preserving lessons learned and operational expertise and maintaining a formal pilot training unit. A-10 Warthog's New Aerial Refueling Probe Is Now Operational In The Middle East The A-10C is now operating in the Middle East with the new probe-and-drogue refueling capability. First demonstrated in early April, it took only six weeks to become operational. Previously, the A-10 could only refuel from a KC-135. The KC-46 was not yet certified to refuel the Warthog due to the “stiff boom” problem, which could damage the receiving aircraft. Now A-10s can refuel KC-46s with the probe or from HC-130s, MC-130s, Marine Corps KC-130s, and KC-130Js from other operators. A-10 with refueling probe. USAF photo. Boeing “Encouraged” By C-17 Production Restart Discussions Restarting C-17 Globemaster III production would be extremely difficult, extremely expensive, but not impossible. There is interest from various operators and from the U.S. Congress, which has asked the Air Force to prepare a formal briefing on the feasibility of acquiring new C-17s. Driving USAF interest is a succession of crises in recent years that have put serious strain on the aircraft, and questions have been raised about the viability of the current plan to keep them flying through 2075. The C-17 is powered by the F117-PW-100, which is the military variant of the PW2000 family (the same engine that powers the Boeing 757). New engine production for the PW2000 stopped in 2016, and the USAF is currently depending on overhauls of existing engines to keep the fleet flying. So the MRO infrastructure, engineering expertise, and supply chain for supporting this engine remain very much alive. In March 2025, RTX announced agreements with JetZero to integrate the PW2040 engine and APU into its blended-wing-body demonstrator. So P&W is actively working on the PW2040 for a new application, which suggests the engine isn’t entirely dormant in their engineering ecosystem. The decision to restart the engine isn't just a P&W decision. The risk-sharing partners, like MTU Aero Engines, have to be on board. There are 222 C-17s in service with the U.S. Air Force today. The last plane was delivered in 2013, and Boeing shut down the line in 2015. Australia, Canada, India, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom operate the C-17. C-17. USAF photo. Listener Mail Eclipse spare parts Mark writes regarding the discussion about Eclipse parts from Episode 896 and notes that FAR 21.9(a)(5) creates a framework for owner-produced parts. Where a certified part is unavailable, owners of certified aircraft can “produce” their own. And they can do that either by making it themselves or by contracting out its production to a suitably qualified supplier. There are rules about quality and the requirement that owner-produced parts be of equivalent specification to OEM parts, but as long as an aircraft owner can put their hand on their heart and assert that those conditions are met, they can supply parts to their maintainer and tell them to install them. See this AOPA guidance. Airport Weirdo Koeby has developed a crowdsourced gallery of airport weirdos, where travelers submit funny photos of strange things they spot in airports. No account is needed; you can just submit your photo, and it will be added to the gallery. It's called Airport Weirdo. New Album release by Speed Brake Armed Pete Buffington tells us about Speed Brake Armed’s new New Age album “Echoes Above the Infinite Sky.” This album takes the listener on a journey of flight from South America, to Spain, to the Cosmos, and back to ancient Greece. Inspired by over 35 years of real pilot experience. Video: 737 Echoes Above The Infinite Sky | Speed Brake Armed | Full Album | New Age Aviation Music https://youtu.be/slO-4xnVqHg Spectrograms Andy adds his perspective about the conversation on spectrograms in NTSB investigations. While he has absolutely no actual knowledge about NTSB processes or how they actually use spectrograms, he speculates based on his experience as an audio engineer for over 30 years: “Spectrograms have been a tool I use fairly regularly in production. To me, it mostly comes down to being able to recognize things that are hard to pick out. For instance, if there is some kind of unpleasant noise in the background of a recording, sometimes I can identify it and potentially filter it out, purely by ear.  Other times, particularly if it's not very far above the noise floor, it can be very difficult to pick out by ear.  In that case, I'll often look at a spectrogram. It's certainly not always helpful, but sometimes there are things that I can pick out visually that I can't pick out audibly… “So I can imagine that in a cockpit recording with a lot of background noise, examining the spectrogram might allow patterns to be detected that would not be obvious audibly. My guess is that they wouldn't be looking at the speech, but rather for indications in sound of what was happening mechanically. “For instance, if there was sound at a particular frequency, happening at a particular interval regularly, that might be an indication of something. That's the sort of thing that you can often see on a spectrogram even if it is audibly buried in the noise floor.” 14 Hours Lying Flat Patrick thinks maybe United could have done better: 14 Hours Lying Flat: United Polaris Passenger Pays $7,400, Gets Just $350 For Broken Seat. A United Airlines passenger has recounted her experience of flying in a faulty Polaris seat. She was forced to sit in a lie-flat position for the entire journey. After complaining, United offered her only $350. The ticket cost $7,388. DCCCXCIV Rob wrote in to say he enjoyed the value that Erin Applebaum brought to Episode 894. His fix starts with something most leaders skip, which is standing still on the floor long enough to watch two associates try to check in 30 trucks an hour while you ask them to be perfect. He also has a warning. Criminals are already using AI to mine broker boards and build fake bills of lading, and LP is too slow to catch up. From NYC PR to South African Soul: Lyndon Taylor's Journey of Discovery

South Africa Calls the Black Traveler HomeA 12-Day Journey Through Pretoria and Soweto Reveals Why the Continent Is the Next Frontier for Diaspora TourismThere's a particular kind of travel that transcends sightseeing — the kind where history reaches out from every monument, every meal, every conversation with a stranger. That's exactly what Lyndon Taylor, founder of Lyndon Taylor Associates and a veteran Caribbean travel professional, found waiting for him on the African continent during a 12-day immersion in South Africa this past April. What began as a spontaneous decision sparked by a mentee's family wedding became, by his own account, one of the most significant journeys of his life. From Newark to Johannesburg: The Long Haul ReimaginedTaylor's journey began with a United Airlines non-stop flight from Newark to OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg — a route that clocks in at roughly 14-plus hours in the air. For travelers who've never tackled a transatlantic flight of this distance, the prospect can feel daunting. But Taylor, ever the seasoned road warrior, approaches it with a practiced strategy. For those planning a similar trip from New York or the Caribbean, the key takeaway is this: book early for the best fares, choose night departures when possible, and treat the flight like an intentional transition — not just dead time between worlds.Arriving at the Heart of History: Pretoria's Union Buildings and Freedom ParkTaylor landed in Johannesburg on April 22nd, and after a sobering introduction at the airport — where the statue of Oliver Reginald Tambo, co-founder of the African National Congress alongside Nelson Mandela and Walter Sisulu, watches over every arriving traveler — he took an Uber to Pretoria, the administrative capital where he would base himself for much of the trip. His first major stop was the Union Buildings, Pretoria's iconic seat of government perched at the city's highest point. The sprawling, arc-shaped colonial-era structure commands breathtaking panoramic views over the city, and it is here that the towering nine-foot statue of Nelson Mandela stands as a monument to South Africa's democratic transformation. For Taylor, standing there was a visceral experience.Freedom Park, another landmark Taylor visited, carries an even heavier emotional charge. The memorial lists the names of South Africans who died across multiple conflicts, from World War II through to the apartheid era. Taylor chose to walk it without a guided tour, preferring to absorb the weight of the space at his own pace. He walked through terraced sections tracing themes of earth, trade, and African history before ascending to the Wall of Names — a structure he describes as nearly stadium-like in scale. At the top, an eternal flame burns alongside a still pool of water."I sat, crossed my legs on the grass, and just took it all in... thinking about all those folks who sacrificed so that we can now enjoy the freedoms we do," he says. It was, in his words, "a sombering moment and a moment of reflection."Soweto: History, Soul, and the Sound of People Truly LivingIf Pretoria is South Africa's institutional heartbeat, Soweto is its soul. Taylor made the trip on April 25th, stopping first in Braamfontein — a vibrant Johannesburg neighborhood that doubles as a college town, home to the University of Johannesburg and several other institutions. It was there, over drinks with a group of young South Africans celebrating a birthday, that the spontaneous magic of travel revealed itself. In Soweto, the famous street that was once home to Nelson Mandela, and also to Archbishop Desmond Tutu, offered a deeply personal window into the struggle. The house where Mandela lived with his family is small — almost startlingly so — but filled, as Taylor observed, with evidence of immense love and resilience. A monument in the square also honors Hector Pieterson, one of the young victims of the 1976 Soweto Uprising, and reminds visitors of the cost of the freedom South Africa now celebrates.Later that evening, he returned to Braamfontein, where his new friends introduced him to Zouk, a club in the nearby neighborhood of Melville. He stayed until 5 a.m. — not because there was nothing else to do, but because the last train from Braamfontein back to Pretoria departed at 8:30 p.m. and the next one didn't run until 5:30 a.m. So he danced, celebrated, and immersed himself in the city's nightlife until the Gautrain — the high-speed rail linking Johannesburg to Pretoria — carried him back at dawn. What struck him most was how South Africans engage with music and each other in social spaces. Phones were put away. People danced. There was a joy and a presence to the room that Taylor contrasts, somewhat wistfully, with what he sees in many Caribbean and American venues today."The Africans, they love their music... they were showing and they were going out and enjoying themselves," he says. "We seem to have lost a lot of that."Freedom Day and the March & March Protest: Democracy, Alive and ImperfectApril 27th marked South Africa's Freedom Day — the 32nd anniversary of the country's first democratic, non-racial elections in 1994. Taylor was on the ground to witness the official ceremonies, including a 21-gun salute and presidential participation, alongside broader public celebration. But the trip also offered a more complicated view of South African democracy the following day, when he encountered the March & March movement protesting outside his hotel in Pretoria. Led by a founder named Jacinta, the march addressed concerns about unemployment, immigration, government corruption, and the alleged sale of identity documents and passports. The group was marching toward the Union Buildings to present their grievances directly to the president.Taylor interviewed Jacinta on the spot. The protest was peaceful, orderly, and pointed — a reminder that South Africa's democracy, now three decades old, is still a living, contested work in progress. "I just wanted to show that democracy is alive and well," Taylor reflects. "People were protesting and they could protest freely, without being harmed."Why Caribbean Travelers Should Look to AfricaTaylor is clear-eyed about the barriers. Long-haul international travel is expensive, and the cost of a flight to South Africa is a legitimate consideration. But his advice is straightforward: book the flight first, as far in advance as possible, and sort out accommodation later — Airbnb and guesthouses offer flexibility and value that can be planned around a tighter budget.More importantly, he speaks to something that can't be quantified: the feeling of connection. As a person of African descent visiting the continent for the first time, Taylor describes a pull toward what he calls "the motherland" that influenced how he engaged with every person he met.South Africa sits at a fascinating intersection of history, culture, natural beauty, and emerging modernity. From the vibrant student neighborhoods of Braamfontein to the solemn grandeur of Freedom Park; from the intimate rooms of Mandela's Soweto home to the sweeping views from the Union Buildings — the country offers a depth of experience that few destinations can match. For Caribbean travelers seeking to explore the wider world of their heritage and history, South Africa isn't just worth considering. It may be long overdue. The Final Verdict: Parallel PathsFlying back over the Atlantic, watching the African coastline fade into the clouds, I realized that this journey had fundamentally changed my perspective as a travel writer.South Africa and the Caribbean are bound by an invisible, powerful thread. We are regions shaped by the trauma of oppression, yet defined by our refusal to be broken by it. We express our healing through the same vessels: explosive musical rhythms, revolutionary art, and a profound reverence for our historical architects. For the traveler seeking more than just a passport stamp, South Africa offers a profound, soul-stirring journey. It challenges you, educates you, and ultimately embraces you with a familiarity that feels remarkably like coming home.Support the showTripCast360 --- It's all about travel, lifestyle and entertainment.Web: TripCast360.com.Twit: https://twitter.com/TripCast360FB: https://www.facebook.com/TripCast360Insta: https://www.instagram.com/tripcast360/

Mark Cuban joins Rav Arora on The Illusion of Consensus for a wide-ranging debate on DEI, wokeness, corporate hiring, race-based diversity goals, merit, quotas, and the backlash against progressive workplace policies. The billionaire entrepreneur, Shark Tank investor, Dallas Mavericks minority owner, and Cost Plus Drugs co-founder argues that businesses should cast a wider net for talent while still hiring the most qualified person, as Rav challenges whether corporate diversity pledges after George Floyd and Black Lives Matter became virtue signalling or a form of discrimination. They discuss EEOC data, Starbucks, Nike, JPMorgan, Pfizer, Microsoft, United Airlines, HBCUs, minority representation, universities, DEI departments, activists such as Ibram X. Kendi and Robin DiAngelo, and the Trump administration's push to dismantle DEI programmes. The conversation also revisits their previous disagreement over Covid mandates, mRNA vaccine side effects, public health ethics, Joe Rogan, pandemic policy, and whether the response to Covid created lasting mistrust in institutions. Cuban and Arora cover how business leaders navigate culture war pressure, shareholder interests, free speech, corporate virtue signalling, political polarisation, independent media, and the future of race, merit, and fairness in American companies. Today's Headlines: The Iran ceasefire is on "massive life support" per Trump, while Iran's foreign minister insists their latest proposal was reasonable — and the administration responded by sanctioning 12 companies helping ship Iranian oil to China, days before Trump flies to Beijing to meet Xi Jinping, where that will definitely not be awkward. This is further complicated by reports that China was preparing to deliver new air defense systems to Iran last month, meaning both China and Russia are now actively supporting Iran, great. On the Hantavirus front, 18 Americans from the cruise are back in the US, at least 2 appear infected, and the other 16 are being monitored at a federally funded biocontainment facility in Nebraska — the WHO still says global risk is low and this is not another COVID. In other news, Trump's plan to paint the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool "American flag blue" was quoted at $1.8 million — it's actually $13.1 million, no other contractors were allowed to bid, and the justification was that delays would cause "serious injury to the government." Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy filmed a road trip reality show visiting historic landmarks, which a watchdog group alleges was sponsored by Toyota, Boeing, and United Airlines — companies he's supposed to regulate — through a conveniently named nonprofit funded by auto companies. Meanwhile, Republican Rep. Max Miller was accused in court filings of throwing boiling water on his ex-wife while their 2-year-old was present — also not his first abuse accusation, having previously been accused of assault by then-White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham in 2020. Texas sued Netflix for spying on children, collecting user data without consent, selling viewing habits to data brokers, and designing the platform to be addictive — Netflix says the lawsuit lacks merit. The guy who stormed the White House Correspondents Dinner pleaded not guilty, with his attorneys arguing that both acting AG Todd Blanche and Jeanine Pirro should recuse themselves since they were both at the dinner. And finally, NBC is launching a Wordle game show hosted by Savannah Guthrie and Jimmy Fallon.  Resources/Articles mentioned: AP News: Passengers from virus-stricken cruise ship fly to home countries for monitoring CNN: Live updates: Trump says ceasefire with Iran on ‘massive life support' after he rejects Tehran's proposal NYT: Reflecting Pool Repairs to Cost $13.1 Million. David Waldman returns to KITM World Headquarters from his Great American Road Trip, sponsored by Boeing, Toyota, Shell, Royal Caribbean, United Airlines, Google, and Enterprise… No, wait, that was Sean Duffy, who took 7 months paid time off from Porn Hub to make the kind of TV show that only Kristi Noem and Kash Patel could have come up with. The national debt is outgrowing the G.D.P. Putting a lien on Donald K. Trump's ballroom and arch won't be enough to address his spendthrift ways, and the usual cost prevention method of killing the poor and weak is never as effective as expected. People are sick of all of the defeating we're doing in Iran; we might not be able to stand much more. It's a Friday, which means it's time for another Shoot Around — the show where we throw everything at the wall and see what sticks.   Big Shot Bob himself, Robert Horry, is back in the building for Episode 132, and this one goes all over the place. We kick things off reacting to Skip Bayless returning to First Take for a one-time reunion with Stephen A. Smith. Nobody asked for it, everybody's gonna watch it — including us. But it raises a fair question: are you tuning in because you actually enjoy them, or just because it's been so long that nostalgia has you by the throat?   From there we got into what TV reunions we'd actually want to see, which somehow turned into Rob getting volunteered — live, on the spot — to host a new version of NBA Inside Stuff with Ahmad Rashad's old job. He ran with it. Like, really ran with it. The man had co-host candidates locked and loaded (Cheryl Miller, Monica McNutt, and others get a mention), a vision for the show, and apparently more enthusiasm for a job he doesn't have than the one he does. Incredible.   Then things got weird. A United Airlines plane clipped a bakery truck on the Jersey Turnpike on approach to Newark — and we had the audio. That set off a whole conversation about terrifying aviation moments, NBA team charter planes, which franchises had the nicest setups (Dallas and Portland apparently had the goods), and the time Rob was sitting next to Butter Bean on a late-night flight when the guy in front of them went completely still and his wife lost her mind thinking he was dead. Spoiler: sleep paralysis.   A listener named Richie sent in a question after a wild JP Morgan story broke this week — a guy fabricated a sexual harassment case, it went everywhere before anyone fact-checked it, and the woman got dragged online for days before the truth came out. That opened the door for Rob to share a story he's apparently never told publicly: the time a woman he didn't even know filed a false harassment claim against him with the Lakers, complete with unsolicited fan mail that's... a lot. We won't spoil the details. But it ended with Rob's lawyer sorting it out after discovering the same woman had done it to three other people.   We wrapped up with a question from Vic about the Mandalorian movie dropping near May the 4th, Star Wars fatigue, and whether Marvel is stuck in the same trap — giving away so much for free on streaming that nobody wants to pay for the theatrical version anymore. Then, naturally, it was Cinco de Mayo (Taco Tuesday edition), which meant Rob had to explain a very chaotic night in Austell, Georgia, a sombrero, a man in a full Transformer outfit, and getting home at 3 AM. Friday energy. All the way through.   Subscribe to Shoot Around wherever you get your podcasts and send your questions and crazy stories our way — we read them all.   0:00  Intro – Big Shot Bob Opens the Show 1:10  Skip Bayless Returns to First Take with Stephen A. 2:30  What TV Reunion Would You Actually Want to See? 3:30  Harper Gets Volunteered to Host New NBA Inside Stuff 8:00  Craziest Audio of the Week: United Airlines Hits a Bakery Truck 10:30  Craziest Plane Story: Rob's Recruiting Visit to Georgia Tech 11:30  The Man Who Looked Dead (But Wasn't) – Sleep Paralysis Story 14:00  What NBA Team Charters Are Actually Like Inside 17:00  Delta Passenger Refuses to Hang Up – Delays Entire Flight 18:00  Listener Q (Richie): JP Morgan False Harassment Story 19:00  Has Anyone Ever Lied on Rob Horry?
