Mike Wayne, responsible for global sales at BlinkOps, joins ITSPmagazine host Sean Martin to discuss how organizations can harness agentic AI to transform security operations—and much more. The conversation begins with a clear reality: business processes are complex, and when security is added into the mix, orchestrating workflows efficiently becomes even more challenging. BlinkOps addresses this by providing a platform that not only automates security tasks but also extends across HR, finance, sales, and marketing. By enabling automation in areas like employee onboarding/offboarding or access management, the platform helps organizations improve efficiency, reduce risk, and free human talent for higher-value work.Mike explains that while traditional SOAR tools require heavy scripting and ongoing maintenance, BlinkOps takes a different approach. Its security co-pilot allows users to describe automations in plain language, which are then generated—90% complete—by the system. Whether the user is a SOC analyst or an HR manager, the platform supports low-code and no-code capabilities, making automation accessible to “citizen developers” across the organization. The concept of micro agents is central. Instead of relying on large, complex AI models that can hallucinate or act unpredictably, BlinkOps uses focused, purpose-built agents with smaller context windows. These agents handle specific tasks—such as enriching security alerts—within larger workflows, ensuring accuracy and control. The benefits are tangible. One customer's triage agent processed 400 alerts in just eight days without direct human intervention, while another saved $1.8 million in manual endpoint deployment costs over a single month. Outcomes like reduced mean time to respond (MTTR) and faster time to automation are key drivers for adoption, especially when facing zero-day vulnerabilities where speed is critical.BlinkOps runs as SaaS, hybrid, or in secure environments like GovCloud, making it adaptable for organizations of all sizes and compliance requirements. The takeaway is clear: AI-driven automation doesn't just improve security operations—it creates new efficiencies across the enterprise. As Mike puts it, when a process can be automated, “just blink it.”Learn more about BlinkOps: https://itspm.ag/blinkops-942780Note: This story contains promotional content. Learn more.Guest: Mike Wayne, Vice President, Global Sales at BlinkOps | On Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/mikejwayne/ResourcesLearn more and catch more stories from BlinkOps: https://www.itspmagazine.com/directory/blinkopsLearn more about ITSPmagazine Brand Story Podcasts: https://www.itspmagazine.com/purchase-programsNewsletter Archive: https://www.linkedin.com/newsletters/tune-into-the-latest-podcasts-7109347022809309184/Business Newsletter Signup: https://www.itspmagazine.com/itspmagazine-business-updates-sign-upAre you interested in telling your story?https://www.itspmagazine.com/telling-your-storyKeywords: sean martin, mike wayne, blink ops, ai automation, agentic ai, micro agents, security automation, soc automation, workflow automation, zero day response, alert triage, enrichment agent, low code automation, cyber security ai, enterprise automation, black hat usa, black hat 2025

    Destination On The Left

On this episode of Destination on the Left, I talk with Camille Zess, Vice President of Growth at TAP, who brings 14 years of wide-ranging expertise in digital strategy, website development, email marketing, and the ever-evolving world of AI. We discuss the “Owned” media segment of the PESO Model—your website, blog, email marketing, and other assets you have complete control over. Camille shares practical tips on evaluating and optimizing these owned channels, from knowing when it's time for a website refresh to the power of blog audits and list segmentation. Our discussion also explores emerging trends, such as adapting your content strategy for AI-driven search and leveraging print collateral in creative ways. What You Will Learn in This Episode: Why owned media (websites, email marketing, blogs) serves as the foundation for effective marketing plans Steps Camille recommends for evaluating and enhancing your owned assets How segmentation and personalization in email marketing can help target different audience groups more effectively Why regular content audits ensure your owned channels remain timely, relevant, and aligned with your strategic goals What role emerging trends like AI and generative engine optimization (GEO) play in shaping how destinations should develop and share owned content How to measure the success of owned media tactics using key performance indicators in Google Analytics Owned Media as the Cornerstone of the PESO Model The PESO Model, originally developed by Ginny Dietrich, stands for Paid, Earned, Shared, and Owned media. While all four elements are essential for a comprehensive integrated marketing strategy, owned media is often the foundation upon which the other components are built. Unlike paid placements or earned coverage, owned media provides total control over your messaging, branding, and audience engagement. For travel and tourism organizations, this means shaping the narrative around your destination, attraction, or service without being subject to algorithms, editors, or third-party platforms. Websites, Emails, and Blogs The best place to start is with the basics: website, email, and blog. Each serves a dual role as both a direct communication channel and a central hub for integrating with your other PESO tactics. Website: Your digital home base. Every few years, assess its usability, content, and technology to ensure it supports both visitors and your staff. If you avoid using your own website in campaigns, that's a red flag that shows it's time for a revamp. Email Marketing: A direct pipeline to your audience. Focus on growing your list, increasing engagement, and experimenting with segmentation for better targeting, such as creating a local list for residents interested in exclusive offers. Blog: An SEO powerhouse and evergreen content resource. Use it to highlight key assets, answer frequently asked questions, share itineraries, and drive authority on topics that matter to your audience. Integrating Owned with the Wider Plan Though the acronym reads PESO, starting with “paid” isn't always the most effective. As Camille points out, TAP often leads with owned or earned tactics because they form the content backbone for everything else; paid campaigns merely amplify what's already working. When planning, review your owned assets alongside your brand positioning and audience goals. Consider where gaps exist, such as organizations not yet doing email marketing (and wanting to drive repeat visitation) or those needing advanced tactics like personalized content and tailored landing pages for lead generation or ticket sales. In 2024, Hightouch launched an agentic AI solution for lifecycle marketing called AI Decisioning.00:35 — Adam Kaufman, Vice President, Global Head of Industry Go To Market at Snowflake, shared insights about the investment: "By building directly on top of Snowflake's unified platform for data and AI, Hightouch enables marketers to execute faster with less complexity and more control. We're excited to support their continued growth and innovation in the AI Data Cloud."01:08 — This investment represents the confidence that major players like Snowflake have in agentic AI for marketing use cases. Interestingly, agentic AI for marketing was one of the first use cases to be discussed when the technology emerged not so long ago, and has obvious applications, particularly in the area of personalization.01:31 — However, this level of AI-driven personalization comes with its challenges, like data privacy regulations — especially regarding consent, transparency in decision making, and data security. This investment by Snowflake Ventures is encouraging because it should help shape the direction of agentic AI-driven marketing. Visit Cloud Wars for more.

Simple Wisdom for Starving Souls | with Lynn Jackson

We all experience spiritual hunger or malnourishment at various points in our faith journey. On the Gospel Spice podcast, guest Lynn Jackson shares her story and offers practical wisdom on rekindling spiritual health through her book, The Recipe. Stephanie and Lynn explore how to find strength and closeness with God even in life's hardest seasons—no matter how spiritually “hungry” or exhausted you might feel. If you feel spiritually weary, you are not alone—and it is not your fault. Start where you are. Open the “pantry” of God's Bible and take a nibble. God's Word isn't reserved for the strong, but is nourishment for the hungry and the weak. With humility, honesty, and consistency, spiritual health is rebuilt one small bite at a time. And, as Lynn encourages, pass the “recipe” along: encourage others, share the method, and help one another discover God's daily provision. BUY “THE RECIPE” HERE: https://www.amazon.com/Recipe-simple-workbook-spiritual-weary/dp/B0F7NCYG63  Here's what Lynn and Stephanie discuss: 1. Understanding Spiritual Malnutrition Lynn Jackson begins by sharing her own background—growing up disconnected from God, despite church attendance, and later experiencing spiritual exhaustion as a pastor's wife. Her journey highlights that spiritual dryness isn't unique to new believers; it affects mature Christians, too. The problem isn't always a lack of desire, but feeling so weary, discouraged, or busy that opening the Bible itself feels impossible. Lynn discovered that many people in church are “starving” spiritually, even after years of faith. We need nourishment, but don't know where to begin. 2. God's Word as a Pantry—Verses as Spiritual Food Lynn describes the Bible as “God's pantry,” full of nourishing verses—like shelves brimming with food and spices. Just as our bodies need regular meals, our souls need consistent spiritual “food.” Yet, many of us avoid the pantry, believing it's inaccessible, overwhelming, or only for those with abundant time and energy. 3. The Importance of Taking “Spiritual Nibbles” A common misconception is that “good Christians” must spend hours in Bible study for it to count. Lynn challenges this, likening such expectations to serving someone a Thanksgiving feast when they need a simple piece of toast. If you're malnourished or spiritually weak, feasting isn't possible—you start with a nibble. The Recipe provides a gentle method to reconnect with Scripture, even when motivation and strength are low. Sometimes, reading and meditating on a single verse is enough. One “taste” of God's Word can reawaken spiritual appetite and begin to strengthen your soul. 4. Permission to Be Messy Many avoid engaging with God because of perfectionism—thinking spiritual practices must be beautiful, well-organized, or profound. Lynn encourages the opposite: make a mess! She tells stories of scribbled journals and a “messy kitchen” as metaphors for the normal, chaotic process of spiritual growth. The goal is connection, not perfection. 5. The Practical Steps of The Recipe The book provides a four-week, hands-on guide. Rather than lectures, Lynn offers companionship—like inviting the reader into her kitchen to watch, then join, and finally lead in “preparing spiritual food.” The process is adaptable: maybe today you need a full meal, but other days, just a single “protein bite” (verse) to carry you through. PURCHASE “THE RECIPE” BY LYNN JACKSON Stephanie could not be clearer: she strongly, strongly invites you to purchase a copy of “the Recipe” for yourself, and maybe a few more to give away as gifts to friends and family! You will not regret it. https://www.amazon.com/Recipe-simple-workbook-spiritual-weary/dp/B0F7NCYG63  MORE ABOUT LYNN JACKSON https://journeylynn.com/about/  https://thrivelead.org/about/  Scott Jackson is the CEO & Co-Founder of Thrive Leadership Foundation. Details and registration here: https://www.gospelspice.com/prayer  There are a few things in our Christian life that we know we should do more, or at least better – and prayer just might top the list. Prayer is a mystery. Why would a conversation with a human have any influence on God's eternal, sovereign plan? It defies logic, and beckons love. How can God, the Almighty Lord of Hosts, be this close, this personal? It defies understanding, and beckons involvement. But, lack of time, inspiration, and discipline, combined with the ruthless tyranny of our busy lives, push prayer to the periphery, to the “one day I'll get to it” pile. And yet, we can excel at what we endeavor to undertake. So, why isn't prayer more of a spiritual priority? Could we develop a mindset around prayer that made it attractive, inspiring, even maybe delightful? What if we attuned our spiritual ears to listen to God, and our spiritual eyes to see His provision? As an unassuming student, I'm going to humbly offer to share the little I have learned from others about the joy of prayer. I will give us theology, practical tips, and useful resources, sharing what works for me as we, together, learn to pray. If you find prayer intimidating, or if your lack of prayer makes you feel guilty or “less than,” then this is the place for you! If you have been a student of prayer for many years, this is the place for you too! If you have breath in your lungs, then prayer can become one of the deepest joys of your day. Don't miss out! A PERSPECTIVE ABOUT PRAYER To pray is to believe that God not only hears, but that He responds. It is to stand in the gap for a broken world, wielding the authority of Christ, empowered by the Spirit, and trusting in the goodness of the Father. The question is not whether prayer works, but whether we are willing to pray the kinds of prayers that invite God's Kingdom into the darkest places of the earth—and of our own hearts. We may never fully understand the mechanics of prayer, or how it intersects with God's sovereignty, but we are not called to understand everything. We are called to be faithful. And faithfulness means showing up—in prayer, in persistence, in expectation. So today, let us pray not only for the comfort of our hearts, but for the transformation of the world. Let us take our place as image-bearers, co-laborers, and co-heirs. Let us believe that God is still listening—and still acting. Because He is. There's only one way to find out what might happen when we truly pray like this. Let's begin. THE MINDSET BEHIND THIS COURSE Before we begin, let me tell you the obvious: I don't really know how to pray. I'm a humble student and absolute beginner at the holy endeavor that is prayer. So, this course isn't really about what I've learned, or any wisdom I might have gathered. But, I've sat at the feet of many prayer warriors over the decades, through books and teachings. So, I'll share what I learned from them. Humility is going to be our primary heart posture! With each lesson, I will offer a few thoughts, practices, and ideas – with much humility, and not taking myself too seriously. I will also share her favorite books and resources about prayer. FInally, I will introduce you to some of the most influential prayer warriors of our history as the Body of Christ. Most importantly, I will invite YOU to pray! Learning to pray comes from praying. Our humble ambition is to inspire you to pray, and to give you a few tips on how to do that. Then, it's up to you! Prayer is a lifelong endeavor. Let's make it delightful together! So, let's get started. Support us on Gospel Spice, PayPal and Venmo!

Banking executives face a familiar dilemma: decades-old core systems technically constrain innovation while replacement costs can reach hundreds of millions of dollars and take years to implement. Meanwhile, fintechs launch new products in weeks while traditional banks remain trapped in months-long approval cycles. The challenge extends beyond technology. "Most banks duct-tape capabilities onto what they already have, and eventually they break," explains Ritesh Rihani, Vice President of Enterprise Banking at Galileo. "You've seen the number of outages we've had in the industry recently. That's all happening because they put duct tape upon duct tape." The pressure to modernize comes from multiple directions. Customer expectations have evolved toward integrated experiences and ease of use and operational risks multiply as the pool of COBOL programmers shrinks through retirement. Regulatory compliance becomes increasingly difficult with manual processes and fragmented systems. This podcast explores five critical dimensions of core modernization: balancing costs with competitive necessity, understanding operational and regulatory risks, implementing incremental transformation strategies, enabling product innovation, and unlocking the future potential of modern banking architecture.

Presidents have used executive orders to direct the executive branch since the founding, but over the years the modern Presidency has drastically expanded its use of executive orders. Executive Orders have always been an important means of moving the Executive Branch into alignment with the President’s interpretation of the law consistent with his duty of faithful execution and a primary way President’s exercise their executive discretion under law. Yet all power is subject to expansion and abuse. In January 2014, for example, then-President Obama announced his “pen and phone” strategy: “I’ve got a pen to take executive actions where Congress won’t, and I’ve got a telephone to rally folks around the country on this mission.”Subsequent administrations have similarly relied on presidential authority to govern by way of Executive Orders, leading to significant litigation challenging the breadth of such authority. This panel will examine the use of executive orders and the “pen and phone” strategy throughout our nation’s history, especially from a separation of powers perspective. This broad power is not expressly identified in either the Constitution or statute, but it has long been accepted as inherent to presidential power over the federal government, federal agencies, foreign affairs, and our military. This panel will discuss the impact of executive orders, what precedent they set for future administrations in the robust exercise of executive authority, and how the “unitary executive” theory plays into that analysis. This webinar will be the first of four webinars previewing the Thirteenth Annual Executive Branch Review Conference on the topic of Theories of Presidential Power.Featuring: John G. While Congress is on its traditional August recess, the House Oversight Committee is still investigating the alleged cover-up of former President Biden's decline. However, the former President insists he was responsible for all decisions that came out of the White House during his time in office, and former staff members claim they saw no obvious sign of a decline. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (KY-1) joins the Rundown to discuss the Committee's investigation into whether the Biden administration covered up the cognitive deterioration of former President Biden. For decades, advocates have been trying to convince the government that psychedelic drugs could be used as medicine and help with conditions like post-traumatic stress disorder and depression. But their efforts fell short. However, there is hope with the Trump Administration as Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has voiced his openness to testing their effectiveness. A few states have legalized psychedelics for therapy, and Texas has recently approved funding for research into ibogaine, a psychoactive compound found in a West African shrub. Former Texas Governor and first-term Trump Energy Secretary Rick Perry was behind the effort in Texas and hopes it leads to the development of a drug that wins approval for clinical trials and could eventually be given in a monitored hospital setting. Gov. Perry joins the Rundown to discuss the potential benefits of ibogaine and other psychedelic therapies, and how an Afghanistan veteran inspired his advocacy.
