In this episode of Truth Tribe, I review Carl Trueman's newest book, "To Change All Worlds: Critical Theory from Marx to Marcuse." His magisterial 2020 volume, "The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self," established him as an insightful, rigorous, and incisive analyst who writes lucidly about complex ideas and places them into a Christian context. He then followed up this book with a smaller summary volume, which added new material, which was called "Strange New World," which was published in 2022. His newest effort addresses in more depth elements taken up in that previous work, or actually those two previous works, the nature of Critical Theory and its influence in contemporary culture. Although critical race theory has its roots in critical theory, Truman does not say much about critical race theory. We are again in his debt for an in depth analysis, rich in original source research and pertinent for understanding contemporary cultural and political currents. Hegel was right in at least one thing: to understand an age, you must understand its philosophy, and as Christians, we must expose it and counter it with biblical truth. Truman, patiently and non polemically, explains critical theory. To do so, he explores the philosophies of major figures such as Hegel, Karl Marx, and Sigmund Freud, and culturally significant thinkers from the German Frankfurt school such as Herbert Marcuse and Max Horkheimer. He also consults Neo-Marxist thinkers such as John Lucas and Karl Koch and the Neo-Freudian Wilhelm Reich as a historian. Truman's aim is more elucidation than reputation, and he exposes difficult ideas in readable prose—no mean feat. However, he is wisely critical of critical theory to summarize and review a book that explores several dense thinkers, and their significance is challenging. I'd rather teach it than review it. However, several salient ideas emerge, which I will discuss here. WOKE Lakers owner announces Presidential run filled with NEO-MARXIST and Communist ideas!
In this episode, I speak with David Todor, a Canadian father from Romania whose post of him confronting his school board with their own library books went viral. He knows all too well the signs of Neo-Marxist ideology and communism and how they are being taught today in government schools. He explains the seven steps to grooming and exposes the lack of support and complicity of the police services when filing a report against the School Board in Waterloo, Ontario. Although his testimony is shocking, he brings a message of hope for parents. Child sexual grooming can be summarized in 7 steps: Targeting: The perpetrator identifies a potential victim. They may choose children who are vulnerable, isolated, or seeking attention and validation. Building trust: The groomer initiates contact with the child, often pretending to be friendly and caring. They may use online platforms, social media, or in-person interactions to establish rapport and gain the child's trust. Establishing a connection: The groomer works to create a close emotional bond with the child. They may provide attention, compliments, and gifts to make the child feel special and valued. Isolating the child: The groomer may attempt to create distance between the child and their friends, family, or other protective figures. This isolation makes the child more dependent on the groomer and less likely to disclose the abuse. Desensitization: The groomer gradually introduces sexual content into their interactions with the child. This can be done through discussions, explicit content, or sharing inappropriate material. The aim is to normalize sexual topics and behavior. Testing boundaries: The groomer may start testing the child's reactions to sexual advances or suggestive conversations. They may gauge how far they can push the child without encountering resistance or disclosure. Exploitation: Once the groomer believes the child is emotionally and psychologically conditioned, they may escalate the abuse to involve sexual contact or exploitation. Why Daniel? 1 Maccabees 1:41-61 & Zechariah 8:1-8, 20-23 by William Klock The world is not what it once was. My great-grandmother—the only one of my great-grandmothers I ever knew— was born in 1896. When she died in 1993, I remember everyone talking about how much the world had changed in her lifetime and how she'd seen it all. She was the daughter of Portuguese immigrants from the Azores, one of thirteen children in a close-knit family. She grew up in Mission San Jose, a little town on the east side of San Francisco Bay. It was centred on a church established by Father Junípero Serra, the 18th Century Franciscan missionary. It was the Catholic California version of one of those New England Puritan towns centred on a white, clapboard Congregational church. She could remember the days when no one had ever seen an automobile. And she'd seen Neil Armstrong put that first human foot on the moon. The Christmas I finally got the Atari 2600 I'd been begging for, she sat patiently and played Pac-Man with me, this woman who had grown up in a world not only without television, but even radios. Hers was a lifetime of change. It happened so fast. From kerosene lamps to computers, from horse-drawn buggies to space shuttles, all in one lifetime. Everyone talked about that century of progress in technological terms. I don't remember anyone talking about my great-grandmother having also seen the century of regress that happened simultaneously in religious, spiritual, and philosophical terms. My grandmother had seen church attendance peak in the 1950s and then slowly decline. The church that had once been the centre of the community in which she grew up is now little more than a tourist attraction. She saw the decline of the family, the rise the “me” generation, and the sexual revolution. She didn't have the education that would have given her the philosophical language to describe those changes, but she knew them and felt them in her bones—and her bones ached terribly. She knew sacrifice. Her mother died when she was ten years old. She dropped out of school after the fifth grade to take care of her family, doing most of the cooking and baking and housekeeping for her father and twelve brothers and sisters. She knew what it meant to be part of and committed to a family and a community, to give and to sacrifice for the sake of others, and she couldn't help but notice as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and their (our) generations became focused on ourselves, on consumption, on materialism, unwilling to give, unable to comprehend the life she knew growing up. Even though these things weren't what people were talking about, these were far more significant, far more profound changes that took place during the Twentieth Century—far more important than telephones and TVs and airplanes and computers. As a people we've adapted pretty readily from buggies to cars, from trains to aeroplanes, from telegraphs to texting. It's not to say technology hasn't introduced its own problems. But the other changes: the spiritual, the religious, the philosophical? That's another story. And as much as the sexual revolution and the rise of rabid individualism were shocking and disorienting in a broad cultural sense for my great grandmother, the continuing spread and evolution of those same social, spiritual, and philosophical trends—and not least their acceleration—leaves most of us, I think, feeling like someone's pulled the rug out from under us. The pace of all this change spiritual and philosophical change is staggering. The folks who promote all these changes like to pretend that nothing's changed, but the rest of us are left breathless, troubled, even with anxiety about where things are headed and what it will mean for us. There's a cartoon where a Leftist, Progressive, Liberal man accusingly asks a traditionalist: “Who radicalised you?” And the traditionalist leans in and says: “No one. I'm just a normal person from five years ago.” I think every one of us here can identify with that. Just a few years ago the idea of people telling you their “pronouns” and expecting you to seriously play along was absurd. Just a few years ago, most people would think you were crazy if you said that one day the City of Courtenay would be flying a rainbow “pride” flag from city hall and painting rainbow crosswalks downtown. Just a few years ago, to look at the world and sort everyone into classes of “oppressor” and “oppressed”, to judge everyone on the basis of power and privilege or the lack thereof, that was the purview of a handful of Marxist academics. And now, if you don't support these things, people ask, “Who radicalised you?” “Why can't you get with the programme?” Or they “cancel” you—something else we'd never heard of until a few short years ago. If only we had the confidence to stand firm and respond like the man in the cartoon: “I'm just a normal person from five years ago. You're the ones who have lost your minds.” Instead, we often feel as if we've been thrown into deep, murky water and are struggling to stay afloat while our feet scramble to find something solid on which to stand. And speaking of something solid on which to stand, where is the Church in all of this? We're increasingly side-lined. Our part of the world has always been the least-churched part of Christendom. I like to think that there's something providential in that—that God has us right where he wants us to teach us and to prepare us for the days ahead. (This is, after all, why I think we need to study Daniel.) Christianity has, at least in the eyes of the world out there, become pretty much irrelevant. When I meet people in our community and talk to them about what I do, I realise that even a lot of older people, have no idea what we're about. They have as much idea of what goes on in a church as I have what goes on in the Legion Hall or the Masonic Lodge. And they have as much interest in what goes on here as I have interest in the Legion or the Masons. I've talked to people who don't recognise a clerical collar, who don't know what a pastor is, who know nothing about the Bible, and—one woman I talked to a few years ago—who thinks Jesus was a nice man who lived “a couple hundred years ago” and was “riffing off Buddha”. The Dutch missiologist Stephan Paas describes this attitude towards the Church as “apatheism”. Most people aren't hostile towards us. They just don't care. They think we're quaint and maybe a little weird and that's about it. But when the Church does stand up for something: for the gospel, for Jesus, for right and wrong, for truth—when we do make ourselves heard. When we openly challenge the gods and kings of the pagans. Well, then we're in trouble. People get angry and nasty. And there are people in the church who will jump overboard lest any of the anger or nastiness fall on them, lest people “out there” think less of them or call them haters or bigots for refusing to go along with this rapid-onset cultural insanity. And so we end up sidelined even more and to communicate with the world around us becomes an even more uphill battle than it was before. Like the Christians in the First and Second Centuries who were falsely accused of being atheists (because they worshipped only one god, which was as good as worshiping no god in the Greco-Roman world); who were accused of incest (because they called each other Brother and Sisters); who were accused of cannibalism (because they ate the body and drank the blood of the Lord); who were accused of being politically disruptive troublemakers (because they refused to worship Caesar). The accusations today are a little different: we're “haters” because we insist that sin is sin and truth is truth; we're “bigots” because we believe that Jesus, crucified and risen, is the only way to the Father; and we're patriarchal, sexist, misogynists, because we talk of God as Father and Jesus as Son and believe that God created men and women to be different, but complimentary. And it's even more troubling—like the rug being pulled out again—when fellow Christians give in and capitulate to this increasingly anti-Christian culture. For most of my life, the division between the liberal Mainline churches and orthodox Evangelical churches has been in the past. As Evangelicals we've watched those churches that capitulated to the culture a hundred years ago become less and less relevant as they've dwindled down to almost nothing. And we've thought the church was done with those sorts of mistakes—with capitulating to the demands of the culture to get by or to become socially acceptable. You cannot worship Yahweh and Zeus at the same altar—not and keep your soul. Our generation (yours and mine) not only recognised that move as a betrayal of Jesus and the gospel, but also that it didn't work. And yet a new generation is trying it all over again. My own seminary, a bastion of Evangelicalism when I went there, seems now to be turning out pastors who are reshaping the church and the gospel in light of those Neo-Marxist categories of oppressor and oppressed, of privileged and unprivileged; and embracing expressive individualism and all that means in terms of identity politics and postmodern sexual ethics and ideas of sexual identity. I'm part of an alumni group on Facebook. If you dare to say the things the seminary upheld thirty years ago, you'll be woke-scolded and shut down in that infuriatingly post-modern passive aggressive way we're all starting to know so well. They sound remarkably—and creepily—like the Director of N.I.C.E. in C. S. Lewis' That Hideous Strength. I listen to the sermons of some of those younger alumni and hear pastors who are leading their congregations in the process of “Deconstruction”, promoting a false gospel having more to do with Marx than with Jesus, and even defending sexual immorality. Many of us here were forced out of the mainline Anglican churches as they followed a similar path decades ago, but now once strongly Evangelical denominations like the Christian and Missionary Alliance, the Mennonites, and the Canadian Baptists are spiralling that same drain—and their pastors, even as the go down the drain into apostasy and irrelevance, they're rebuking and scolding those of us who are holding to the Bible with everything we've got, our solid rock in the midst of this raging sea. Even our own Anglican Church in North America hasn't been immune. Barely a decade after our founding, having experienced all this wickedness, and we're already having to confront a young generation who, with no personal experience of our old struggles, is ready to run straight back into that old folly. What do we do? The world is largely ambivalent to our message. (I hand-delivered over a hundred invitations to Christianity Explored a few years ago to our neighbourhood and not a single person followed up, let alone showed up.) And when we do speak up, when we do make ourselves noticeable, we're shouted down, falsely accused of all sorts of things, and sent to go sit in the corner like bad children—and sometimes that's exactly what we end up doing, because we don't know what else to do. So what do we do? Brothers and Sisters, we're not the first believers to face this, although after two thousand years of Christendom, it certainly feels like we're the first. And after two thousand years of Christendom, I think we're struggling with how to respond to our world and with what to do. Do we defend ourselves from the false accusations or do we go and sit in the corner? How do we proclaim the good news when people are predisposed to dismiss it? What do we do when our traditional methods of evangelism no longer work? What do we do when the world pressures us to go along to get along? And, I think the most important question of all, where is the Lord in all of this? Brothers and Sisters, again, we're not the first. We could look back to the letters John wrote in the book of Revelation to the churches in Asia Minor—letters exhorting them to stand firm in faith, on Jesus and the gospel, because a storm of persecution was coming. We looked at those letters two years ago. Let's look at another time of trouble for God's people that most of us probably aren't nearly so familiar with. The books of First and Second Maccabees in the Apocrypha tell the story of Judah about 160 years before Jesus was born—in the time between the testaments. The Jews had returned from the Babylonian exile, rebuilt Jerusalem and the temple, but still lived under Persian Rule. The Greek conqueror, Alexander the Great, defeated the Persians in 331 BC and Judah became part of his empire. Alexander, however, didn't live very long and his generals divvied up his empire and then they and their descendants fought with each other for two-and-a-half centuries. Poor Judah ended up caught in the middle of that. Those Greek kings, for the most part, left Judah alone. She had a special status as sort of a temple state, ruled by the high priest. But things slowly went downhill. The priesthood was bought and sold by corrupt men. A lot of Jews gradually adopted the pagan ways and ideas of the Greeks and became less and less faithful to the torah. But things really went bad for Judah under a king named Antiochus IV. People called him “Epiphanies”—just like our current season of the church year—because he believed he was Zeus manifest (epiphany) in the flesh. Antiochus was at war with Egypt and he wanted Judah to know that she belonged to him, not to the Egyptians. He also wanted to get his hands on the temple treasury to fund his war efforts. So Antiochus pillaged the temple, desecrated it with an altar of Zeus, and actively suppressed their Jewish way of life—their ability to live by the torah—and tried to turn them into good Greeks. Here's how the author of First Maccabees tells it. Listen and see if any of this sounds uncomfortably familiar. Then the king wrote to his whole kingdom that all should be one people, and that all should give up their particular customs. All the Gentiles accepted the command of the king. Many even from Israel gladly adopted his religion; they sacrificed to idols and profaned the sabbath. And the king sent letters by messengers to Jerusalem and the towns of Judah; he directed them to follow customs strange to the land, to forbid burnt offerings and sacrifices and drink offerings in the sanctuary, to profane sabbaths and festivals, to defile the sanctuary and the priests, to build altars and sacred precincts and shrines for idols, to sacrifice swine and other unclean animals, and to leave their sons uncircumcised. They were to make themselves abominable by everything unclean and profane, so that they would forget the law and change all the ordinances. He added, “And whoever does not obey the command of the king shall die.” In such words he wrote to his whole kingdom. He appointed inspectors over all the people and commanded the towns of Judah to offer sacrifice, town by town. Many of the people, everyone who forsook the law, joined them, and they did evil in the land; they drove Israel into hiding in every place of refuge they had. Now on the fifteenth day of Chislev, in the one hundred forty-fifth year, they erected a desolating sacrilege on the altar of burnt offering. They also built altars in the surrounding towns of Judah, and offered incense at the doors of the houses and in the streets. The books of the law that they found they tore to pieces and burned with fire. Anyone found possessing the book of the covenant, or anyone who adhered to the law, was condemned to death by decree of the king. They kept using violence against Israel, against those who were found month after month in the towns. On the twenty-fifth day of the month they offered sacrifice on the altar that was on top of the altar of burnt offering. According to the decree, they put to death the women who had their children circumcised, and their families and those who circumcised them; and they hung the infants from their mothers' necks. (1 Maccabees 1:41-61) Immense pressure was put on the people to conform. Many of their leaders were in on it. Many, feeling the pressure and fearing men rather than God, capitulated. But not everyone. But many in Israel stood firm and were resolved in their hearts not to eat unclean food. They chose to die rather than to be defiled by food or to profane the holy covenant; and they did die. Very great wrath came upon Israel. In the midst of that nightmare of persecution the book of Daniel was written. (I know, you were starting to wonder what any of this has to do with Daniel.) People were asking those questions: What do we do? How do we remain faithful? Where do we draw the line with these pagans and their demands? And that all-important question above all else: Where is God in all of this? Why is he allowing this to happen to us? And so some anonymous writer, inspired by the Spirit, undertook to exhort his people by looking back to the last time Judah had faced tragedy and had been tempted to compromise with pagans: the Babylonian exile. Specifically, he looked back to a man named Daniel. In the centuries since Daniel had lived, he'd become the popular subject of stories about faithfulness and wisdom. This man living during the reign of Antiochus collected some of those stories to form the first part of his book—stories written in Aramaic, which had become the common language of the Jews since their exile. And then he wrote (in Hebrew) an apocalypse in the style of a prophecy told by Daniel, and in that apocalypse he recounts the history of Judah's recent troubles, and through it all reminds the people that no matter what things look like, the Lord is sovereign over all—even pagan kings—and that he is with his people, even when it doesn't seem like it. And in the end, knowing the faithfulness of the God of Israel, he looks forward in hope to the vindication of his people and to the Lord finally setting things to rights. Daniel is really quite a bit more complicated than that, but that's it in a nutshell. We'll crack open the nut in the coming months and I trust we'll be blessed, encouraged, and exhorted by what we find inside, especially knowing that it was written to people who felt as though the rug had been pulled out from under their feet and who were asking many of the same hard questions that we're asking as God's people today. The answers aren't always easy. Sometimes we have to work out the math ourselves—like a “story problem”. One of the interesting things about Daniel is that while we classify the book with the “Prophets” in Christians Bibles, the Jews placed this book in the section they call the “Writings”—all the books that aren't Law or Prophet. Not everyone agrees on why this happened, but the prevailing view seems to be that Daniel was seen early on as wisdom literature—like Job, Proverbs, and Ecclesiastes—those books where the big questions are worked out. Where is God? How does faithfulness work out practically in life? Daniel does just that and one of the things I appreciate about the book of Daniel is that it shows us how we work out these questions, how we work out how to be faithful to the Lord in difficult times and difficult places, in light of what the big story of God and his people teaches us. I had originally planned for our Old Testament lesson to be something from Daniel, but as I looked at the lectionary and the lesson it gives us from Zechariah 8, I realised that it's perfect. Whoever compiled and composed Daniel as an exhortation to the people of Judah living under Antiochus Epiphanies, not only looked back to Daniel's experience in the Exile, but he also knew the story and the promises the Lord had made to his people before and during that exile—promises like the one we heard earlier from Zechariah: Thus says the Lord of hosts: I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am jealous for her with great wrath. Thus says the Lord: I will return to Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem; Jerusalem shall be called the faithful city, and the mountain of the Lord of hosts shall be called the holy mountain. Thus says the Lord of hosts: Old men and old women shall again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each with staff in hand because of their great age. And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in its streets. Thus says the Lord of hosts: Even though it seems impossible to the remnant of this people in these days, should it also seem impossible to me, says the Lord of hosts? Thus says the Lord of hosts: I will save my people from the east country and from the west country; and I will bring them to live in Jerusalem. They shall be my people and I will be their God, in faithfulness and in righteousness. He knew that there were parts of this prophecy yet to be fulfilled and in those dark days, that unfulfilled prophecy gave him hope, because he knew from the history of people that the Lord always does what he promises. In particular, there's the second half of our lesson, from verses 2-23: Thus says the Lord of hosts: Peoples shall yet come, the inhabitants of many cities; the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, “Come, let us go to entreat the favor of the Lord, and to seek the Lord of hosts; I myself am going.” Many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to entreat the favor of the Lord. Thus says the Lord of hosts: In those days ten men from nations of every language shall take hold of a Jew, grasping his garment and saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.” The author of Daniel looked around at his people. Even though many of the people he knew were doing their best to be faithful, he saw so much compromise. No one was looking to the people of Judah and seeing the Lord in their midst. The nations looked at Judah and saw a people who were conquered—and that meant their god was conquered too. But because he knew that the Lord is faithful, he could look forward in hope to that day when the Lord would restore his people and make them what they were—what they are—supposed to be. He could look forward to that day that you and I have seen fulfilled in Jesus the Messiah, when the men and women of the nations would finally, at last, take hold of a Jew—the Jew—and plead, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.” Brothers and Sisters, we have seen these prophecies fulfilled in Jesus. We are the gentiles who have grabbed hold of his blood-soaked garments and he has led us to the God of Israel. We who were not a people, have through him, become his people. We see promise after promise fulfilled in him, fulfilled in the pouring out of the Spirit, fulfilled as the gospel has gone out to the nations. And we, too can look forward in faith knowing the Lord's faithfulness—knowing, for example (again, just one of so many) that one day the knowledge of glory will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea. Friends, no matter how difficult or dark the days, whether we walk beside still waters or through the valley of the shadow of death, though we know blessing or we know cursing, though we experience his approval or his discipline, the Lord is with us. He has given his Son for our sake. He has poured out his Spirit to equip us for his work. He has given us his gospel to proclaim for the life of the world. And he has done none of that in vain. I think Daniel will help us answer those hard questions, but before we hear him speak, let's commit to holding fast to the solid rock, to the basic truths we already know, revealed in Jesus the Messiah himself: that the Lord loves us, that the Lord has a glorious future for us and all of creation, that the Lord is with us no matter what. And most of all that great truth revealed in Jesus and in his death and resurrection: that the Lord will go to any length to keep his promise to us. As we prayed in our Collect, let us pray again: Almighty and everlasting God, you govern all things both in heaven and on earth: Mercifully hear the supplications of your people, and in our time grant us your peace (and fill us with faith and hope); through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Generation Z is now entering the workforce, and free speech levels have never been so low in America. Coincidence? We think not. Legions of Gen Zers are bringing the totalitarian ideas they were spoon-fed in university — CRT, DEI, and other Neo-Marxist ideas — into the American mainstream. As a result, we are at a peak cancel culture moment. How did this happen, who is to blame, and most importantly, how do we close Pandora's box? Our guests — authors of a new book on cancel culture — suggest we cannot, but we can move forward and begin to right some of these wrongs. It starts with raising kids who aren't cancelers, keeping corporations out of the cult of cancellation, fixing K-12, and reforming higher education.Greg Lukianoff is the president of the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) and one of the country's most passionate defenders of free expression. Together with Rikki Schlott, he is the author of The Canceling of the American Mind. He has written on free speech issues in the nation's top newspapers, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post, and was executive producer of the documentaries Can We Take a Joke? and Mighty Ira. Lukianoff earned his undergraduate degree from American University and his law degree from Stanford.Rikki Schlott is a New York City-based journalist and political commentator. She is a research fellow at FIRE, host of the Lost Debate podcast, a columnist at the New York Post, and a regular contributor to numerous publications and television programs. Her commentary focuses on free speech, campus culture, civil liberties, and youth issues from a Generation Z perspective.Download the transcript here.Subscribe to the WTH substack here.Check out Greg and Rikki's book here.
Title: From Trans Supremacy to AI, How Wokeness Seeks to Replace God Description: For the last few weeks, I've been coming to a clearer understanding of the motives behind seemingly inexplicable actions and agendas coming from the radical left. I've always believed that attacks on faith were behind many if not most of the various Neo-Marxist and globalist campaigns, but it wasn't until recently that I realized nearly ALL of these attacks either go after faith on some level or are directly engaged in destroying faith. As a Bible-believing Christian, I am hyperaware of the attacks against my own faith. But it behooves us all to acknowledge that the globalist elite cabal wants ALL traditional faiths to be subverted or abolished completely. In some cases, they don't mind if we have a little faith as long as it does not supersede the religion of climate change, the cult of wokeness, or the supremacy of government entities. In other cases, they simply want us to completely abandon our faith or die. On today's episode of The JD Rucker Show, I dove into various ways they are attacking faith and trying to replace it with their earthly gods. I started off with an explanation for why the show and my Substack have been on an unscheduled hiatus for so long. The bullet points are:- An Epiphany: Considering how much the faithful are being attacked at every angle, it makes sense to shift gears to focus more on how the worlds of culture and politics are being weaponized against faith. I won't be getting more "preachy" or doing analyses of Bible verses. Instead, I'll be applying a Biblical lens to the various events happening in our world. - A Show Loss: We are no longer working with our excellent producer, Disco. He's a pro and I highly recommend him to anyone who wants their show properly produced. I'm just not a good fit for a producer. - Discern TV: Our intention starting last October was to launch Discern.TV as a full-blown television network. During my hiatus I came to the conclusion that we should launch it now and move it forward over time rather than making it perfect before launch. There is plenty of discerning content out there already, so why wait until we have all our ducks in a row? - Sick as a Dog: God works in mysterious ways. I believe that the forced break due to an odd illness that's still circulating back and forth in my family may have been a blessing in disguise. Even with everything else that was happening, I still would have done my daily show if I hadn't been too sick to do so. Now, I understand that I needed to be sick to force me to take a step back and set other things in motion. - Whole Cows: We have launched a new product with our meat company! We launched the company with freeze-dried chicken last year. Now, we're offering beef, both frozen (for today) and freeze-dried (for tomorrow). You can check out our new website https://wholecows.com and if you order with promo code "JDR" at checkout you'll get 15% off. With that out of the way, I turned to discussing the agenda against faith. It isn't just the Nashville mass murder that represents direct attacks against Christians by the transgender supremacy community. It's coming from multiple fronts. It's telling that after a transgender person committed mass murder against Christians, corporate media and the wokesters in government all turned to defending the LGBTQIA+ community rather than Christians. That's America in 2023, at least for those under the thumbs of the powers-that-be. I covered several stories that represent this shift in the American narrative, not to mention one that addresses the shift in the Canadian narrative. Here are the stories I covered: https://www.dailywire.com/news/press-secretary-for-gov-katie-hobbs-resigns-after-tweet-suggesting-transphobes-should-be-shot
Dr. Jerome Corsi digs deeply into Max Horkheimer and Theodore Adorno, who despised capitalism and the "enlightenment morality." The two men canonized the Marquis de Sade, celebrating him in their own collaborative works, and advocated the abandonment of objective classical values for a more self-centered inhibition-releasing cultural direction. Dr. Corsi takes a critical look at Horkheimer's and Adorno's worldview and influence on modern Neo-Marxist theory.Today's The Truth Central features commentary from Dr. Corsi's new book: The Truth About Neo-Marxism, Cultural Maoism and Anarchy. This is the second in a series of Dr. Jerome Corsi's deep dive into the truth about today's Woke Culture, Neo-Marxism, Maoism and how we got to where we are. In this edition of the Truth Central, Dr. Corsi looks at the influence of Neo-Marxists Bella Dodd, William Z. Foster, Frank Marshall Davis (Barack Obama's communist mentor) and William Ayers on the building of what "evolved" into what we see today as the "Woke Culture" in America. Dr. Jerome Corsi takes a deep dive into the origins of wokeness and who dreamed up the ideas which have eventually infiltrated Western politics and popular culture decades later. We trace the roots of Wokeism back to Italian Communist Party Founder Antonio Gramsci and his Prison Papers. which centered around both Marxist and Critical Theory. Soon after, Max Horkhemer a member and later director of the Frankfurt School's Institute for Social Research (which, incidentally, started out as a Marxist study group) inner circle, led efforts to research and analyze Critical Theory We also dive deeply into those who continued to promote and advance what would later become Wokeism including Jean-Francois Lyotard and Jacques Derrida as Dr. Corsi chronicles how these Marxist and Neo-Marxist philosophers developed what would soon be simplified and packaged into what we are seeing today as a dominant force in today's Far-Left and Democrat politics.Get your FREE copy of Dr. Corsi's new book with Swiss America CEO Dean Heskin, How the Coming Global Crash Will Create a Historic Gold Rush by calling: 800-519-6268Follow Dr. Jerome Corsi on Twitter: @corsijerome1Our website: https://www.thetruthcentral.comOur link to where to get the Marco Polo 650-Page Book on the Hunter Biden laptop & Biden family crimes free online: https://www.thetruthcentral.com/marco-polo-publishes-650-page-book-on-hunter-biden-laptop-biden-family-crimes-available-free-online/Our Sponsors: MyVital https://www.thetruthcentral.com/myvitalc-ess60-in-organic-olive-oil/ Swiss America: https://www.swissamerica.com/offer/CorsiRMP.php The MacMillan Agency: https://www.thetruthcentral.com/the-macmillan-agency/ Pro Rapid Review: https://prorrt.com/thetruthcentralmembers/Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-truth-central-with-dr-jerome-corsi--5810661/support.

Critical race theory and cultural Marxism dominate education, big business, media, and our societal discourse, but why and how has it also infiltrated the Church? Join us as we grapple with the onslaught of critical theory and social justice ideologies that we see in many churches with Jon Benzinger who is a friend, pastor, and author of Stand: Christianity vs. Social Justice. Even though the BLM riots of 2020 are behind us, the Neo-Marxist worldview driving the new social justice movement has not slowed. This worldview is the toxic new religion of our time and brings with it a catastrophic history. If and when its rapid growth takes root in churches, it will bring about their demise. This episode underscores the Christian's vital need to amalgamate truth and love in the face of these advancing lies.Go deeper with recommended resources on the Episode Landing Page!Disciple Nations Alliance Website

WarRoom Battleground EP 354: The New Neo-Marxist Revolt
“There is a discrepancy between the desires of voters in a democracy and a republic, and the ideology of the bureaucracies that are supposed to serve the public interest.”In this episode, I sit down with Christopher Rufo, senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute. He has played a key role in bringing the fight against Critical Race Theory into the public consciousness.“In the 1960s, the radicals of the West took that idea of cultural revolution from China, and they appropriated it and retrofitted it to fit the conditions and the politics of the West,” says Mr. Rufo. “They believe that you first have to go after a culture of a country, like the United States, and then, only then, can you change the politics of the country.”We dive into his new book, “America's Cultural Revolution: How the Radical Left Conquered Everything,” which explores how the ideology of four 20th-century thinkers profoundly impacted our institutions, and culminated in the 2020 George Floyd riots.“These are figures of death. And yet they see themselves still, despite all the evidence, as figures of life,” says Mr. Rufo. “Conservatives cannot merely retreat to private business, private life, and think that they're going to have a country that reflects their values. Conservatives have to get out of the corner.”

Are you ready to challenge the status quo? With alarming truths about our current societal structures and their devastating effects on childhood, we delve into unchartered territories in this episode. We reveal the disturbing changes in our society, starting with what we term as the 'annihilation of childhood' - a national disgrace deeply rooted in human rights and dignity issues. What if we told you that our government is more influenced by culture than you could ever imagine? In this episode, we navigate through the subtle yet powerful influence of family, church, and educational institutions in shaping a society. Unpacking the wisdom of John Paul II regarding communism, we shed light on the immediate gratification culture that is slowly but steadily threatening the fabric of our constitutional order. We also dive into the terrain of Marxism and its devastating effect on marriage, family, and the church, and how these shifts are infiltrating the minds of the young. The education of our children is at stake and it's high time we take notice. From the alarming rise in mental health issues among students to the exploitation and indoctrination of children, we expose the harsh realities of our present culture. Concluding the episode, we stress the importance of education over indoctrination, and discuss strategies to protect our children and restore values in our society. In 303 Creative vs. Elenis, the Supreme Court upheld Lorie Smith's free speech rights, deciding that the state of Colorado could not force her to produce websites for so-called same-sex weddings. Ever since, media pundits and public officials have distorted the ruling, claiming that it will allow people to refuse service to LGBT individuals. However, even the state of Colorado acknowledged that Smith serves all people with her business, but she would not provide services that meant expressing a view that violates her faith. The state made clear its intent was to suppress Smith's ideas about marriage. By a vote of 6-3, the Supreme Court found this a clear violation of the First Amendment guarantee of freedom of expression. The dissent in the case was written by Justice Sonia Sotomayor, joined by Justices Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson. It featured a rambling history of civil rights and public accommodation law, law that prevents discrimination of the public in services. Sotomayor argued that the decision violated the trajectory of the expansion of civil rights to more and more marginalized groups in society. She claimed that creating a website was a matter of providing a service and had nothing to do with expression, implausibly arguing that creating a website for a so-called same-sex wedding would not compel Smith's speech. Writing for the majority, Justice Gorsuch dismantled the dissent, noting that the history of public accommodations and civil rights had no bearing on the matter, and that Sotomayor's argument that the question involved service rather than expression was contradicted by both the state of Colorado and the Tenth Circuit Court. He also noted how the dissent contradicted itself. Still, the problems with Sotomayor's dissent extend beyond the issues identified by Gorsuch. When Sotomayor appealed to the murder of Matthew Shepard and the mass shooting in Orlando's Pulse Nightclub as examples of the dangers LGBT people face in the country, she was appealing to a revisionist history. The motive for Matthew Shepard's murder is at best unsettled and likely had nothing to do with his sexual orientation. The shooter at the Pulse nightclub had pledged allegiance to ISIS and apparently targeted Pulse because of its lax security. While Sotomayor may simply have been sloppy–relying on popular rhetoric without investigating further–it is more likely that these are examples of her worldview commitments. Specifically, she employed standpoint epistemology and intersectionality, the idea that truth is ultimately unknowable so we can only rely on identity markers like race, ethnicity, gender identity, and sexual orientation to determine what is right and wrong. In standpoint epistemology, minorities have greater insights about the world because they know how to operate both in their own setting and in the dominant culture. This is the reasoning behind Sotomayor's infamous statement given at the University of California, Berkley before her nomination: “I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life.” However, though Sotomayor may assume her lived experience offers a fuller view of reality, her perceptions become more authoritative to her than the facts of reality. Rather than committing to an objectivity, she can determine via cultural narratives of oppression what happened regarding Shepard's murder or the Pulse shooting, or the conflict between Lorie Smith and the state of Colorado. Even worse, the objective facts (at least those that counter the accepted narratives) in these cases can be ignored, neglected, or revised. Since objective truth doesn't exist, justice is left to the eye of the beholder. Once, in a presentation to congressional staffers, Sotomayor was asked about the foundation of justice in our country. She replied by admitting that she had never considered the question “in that form before.” And then after a long pause said something like, “I suppose for me, it would be the inherent dignity of all people. But I don't know what it should be for anyone else” (emphasis added). While it may be surprising that a sitting Supreme Court justice had never considered the question of justice, her response is fully consistent with her previous speech delivered at Berkley. In it, she claimed that “[t]o judge is an exercise of power,” not a matter of interpreting law. In her dissent to the majority opinion that ended affirmative action in college admissions, she accused the majority decision of “an unjustified exercise of power.” In other words, if judging is only a matter of power, no amount of facts could ever justify a decision she did not agree with. This pair of dissents should not be viewed in a vacuum. Rather, they are based on a worldview rooted in Neo-Marxist ideas of oppression and class struggle and on postmodern ideas about knowledge and power. This is why it is important that a biblical vision of truth, justice, government, and the human person guide our thinking, not only so we can counter the false ideas shaping so much of our culture but so that we can offer a better way. Show notes and Transcript... Kingsley Cortes is someone with a deep understanding of the political and social media world. At GETTR Social Media she was integral, along with Jason Miller, to their incredible rise and Kingsley also served on the Trump 2020 campaign. She joins Hearts of Oak to share her experiences from that campaign and what lessons were learned that will make the Trump 2024 campaign a completely different beast. We discuss how 'The Don' has been able to mould the party in his image and make MAGA so much more than just a political slogan. Then there is the revelation of the Supreme Court. We are now a year after the overturning of Roe vs Wade, how has it suddenly been red pilled with 3 huge decisions in one day? Then we end up discussing voter demographics looking ahead to 2024. Kingsley Cortes is the Digital Media Manager for 'Center for Renewing America', she is a political communications and marketing professional with experience in journalism, presidential campaign strategy, and social media. She at the moment is working for the Centre for Renewing America and was on the 2020 Trump campaign, and that's where we start, asking her about her experiences, what that was like, then looking ahead to 2024, whether Republicans have actually learned the games the Democrats play and whether they've learned how to more effectively play the game. And then we go on to so many things. MAGA, how MAGA has become much more than a slogan, how it is literally a way of life. Putting America first. Game-changer. The Supreme Court, how they've been red-pilled in the last few weeks and back overturning Roe v. Wade decision a year ago. How that has happened, how their Court has become so conservative. Part of it, of course, we discuss is in Trump's three nominations to the Supreme Court, which is huge. And then we just end up talking about the demographics, voting demographics, looking at 2024, the youth vote, and how that will play into the elections. Kingsley Cortes, it's wonderful that you could join us today. Thanks for your time. (Kingsley Cortes) Thanks so much for having me, Peter. Not at all, and obviously we, well I knew you from back in the GETTR days. We'll maybe touch on that, but people can find you @KingsleyCortes on GETTR, Twitter, or those are the two main places. GETTR, Twitter and Truth Social as well. I've opened an account on there. So yeah, you can find me, same username on all of the platforms. Please give me a follow. I put out a lot of content that I think is engaging and fresh. So check it out. Definitely. And obviously you're heading up to digital media at Center for Renewing America. We'll touch on that. You are part of the leadership team of Washington, D.C. Young Republicans, and you obviously were part of the Trump 2020 campaign, which we'll delve into as well. I mean, tell us about Centre for a New America, because I love watching Russ Vought on War Room. And I hadn't come across, being a Brit, I can always make excuses. So I've enjoyed watching him there. But tell us a little bit, you've only been with Centre for a New America for a short time. That is correct, yes, and you'll see a lot of our fellows or our president, Russ Vought on War Room frequently. I think we have, you know, someone at least from our office on there almost every day, which is fantastic. But at the Center for Renewing America, we're basically a Washington, D.C.based think tank, but we are kind of different from the establishment think tanks that have existed for years in you see in that I think we really have our finger on the pulse. Of the issues that the base cares about, right? Gone is the GOP of endless foreign wars, tax cuts, and gay marriage. We are here to fight the culture war. We're here to fight for American communities across this country. We have a large grassroots operation. And we're just here to fight for America, right? I think becoming proud of America's founding has really kind of devolved into something that people see as evil or as something that one shouldn't strive for. We want to renew that pride and that patriotism. So that's really our mission as an organization. And I run their digital media operation. So I'm putting out a bunch of content every day. We have a lot of folks that are on TV every day. I'm putting out clips of those, and we're really just kind of trying to shift the narrative, right? Shift from this Old Testament GOP thinking to the new kind of America first Republican party that we're seeing emerging here. So I'm really excited about the work that we're doing at the center. I think it's incredibly important. We're small, but we punch above our weight class. So please check us out on all the platforms as well. We're @amrenewctr for Centre. And give us a follow. And you know, if you like what we're doing, feel free to sign up for all of our email lists and things of that nature. But we're really trying to push forward this America First agenda. I think that is the bottom line. That is the only way we are going to save this country from decline. 100%. I know you've just celebrated. We didn't celebrate, obviously, Fourth of July. Maybe you need a Centre for Renewal in the UK. I think we need something like that to challenge the, I guess, so-called conservative groups and parties that have absolutely failed on any engagement in the culture wars. Right, yeah. I think your Tory party maybe makes our GOP, which I complain about, look, you know, radical. So you guys have a bit of the same problem we do, that's for sure. We really do. So let's get... Trump. Obviously, we have a Trump 2016, Trump 2020, and Trump 2024 is just around the corner. You were very much part of that 2020 campaign. Let us know how that happened and how did you find it? Most people have no idea what it's like to be in a political campaign of that level, so give us some kind of insights on what that was like for you. Yeah, absolutely. So I kind of started out my career in politics when I was in college. I wrote for the National Pulse, which is a publication of Raheem Kassam, who you know, and that's kind of how I got my feet wet in this movement. I just applied, you know, online to do a free writing fellowship, and I was able to kind of explore how to frame a narrative, how to research political issues, and all of those things. And a couple of my articles did very well and I got to do a couple of war room appearances here and there. So through that I met Jason Miller who founded War Room Impeachment with Bannon and with Raheem Kassam. So you know, great network there and he ultimately dragged me on to the 2020 race and I worked with him there kind of as his deputy and we did a lot of marketing and communication strategy. But no, a presidential campaign, I mean, is all hands on deck. It's exhausting, you know, long hours for sure. It's high stress, it's fast paced, but I really enjoyed it because I believed in what we were fighting for. I believed, you know, that Trump was ushering in incredible wins for the American economy, for the American people. We were respected abroad again, right? And unfortunately, the election didn't go, you know, as planned. It was stolen. And, you know, I think that in the aftermath of that, we quite didn't have the litigation or the lawyer kind of strength to fight it wholeheartedly. But I think, you know, that election in many ways was a wake-up call. Not just on the election integrity front, but also on the big tech front. They censored the president of the United States. This was a totally unprecedented move. And I for one never thought, you know, the Silicon Valley oligarchs would be so bold. It was shocking to me that, you know, they would totally de-platform a duly elected president of the United States. And if you remember as well, it wasn't just him. The New York Post was, they had their account locked for a number of days for posting a story about the Hunter Biden laptop. I mean, the way that the media in many ways stole the election with big tech, colluding with our government was just absurd. It was unlike anything we had ever seen before. So I think for me, you know, being on that race at a high level, I realized exactly what we're up against, because I think for a long time, conservatives have kind of felt that we can work with the Democrats, right? We can reach bipartisan conclusions and bills. But I think this Democrat Party that we're dealing with in the modern age is totally unrecognizable to a Democrat, you know, of my grandpa's generation. These are radical neo-Marxist ideologues that are hell-bent on destroying the fabric of American society. So ultimately, you know that big tech kind of brazenness in censoring the president led me to really take an interest in pursuing big tech and free speech issues and that's why I wound up with Jason Miller at GETTR and we really tried to create a platform where all speech was allowed. You could engage in the exchange of ideas. You could have debates. So that was something that I think is really important to strive for as we continue. Whatever we do, whether that's working in politics or whether that's working, you know, in business, what have you, we all need to be embracing of ideas, right? We can't be afraid or be shut down by the leftist kind of mainstream thinking. We need to stand up for what we believe in and know that what we believe in is something that is foundational to America, right? It's embedded in our history and our heritage. So kind of a long answer for you there, but I just think, you know, the campaign in 2020 is a lesson and looking forward to 24. I think that there are a lot of things that we can take from 2020 that maybe we didn't do so well, or maybe that we did great. And I think we're going to really see in 2024 a clean, well-oiled machine. I think, you know, this Trump group, they know exactly what to do. Trump knows exactly what to do. He has his kind of marching orders. He has his mission. He knows how to take down the deep state that is aimed squarely at him and aimed squarely at the American people. Oh, 2024 is going to be so different. But about 2020, because looking at it as a Brit where our issue is tribal voting and people saying, I don't agree with that, but I'm going to vote for them anyway, because I've always, that's our kind of stuck in the rust. We don't have the mess, I guess, which you have. I've watched the voting regularly at many elections and the rush to get the paper ballots, you physically watch them, you can check everything, there are piles of them, everything is there. I'm wondering how it took until 2020 for Republicans to, wake up and think something's not right, because this obviously had been building up to then. Yeah, no, I mean, it's a fantastic question. As a Republican Party member, it's one that frustrates me greatly, right? How underprepared we have been for a lot of the tactics that the leftists have pulled, you know, just in the past 10, 20 years. I think that the Democrat Party kind of had a leg up because they've owned a lot of these kind of city operations and controls, right? They have a lot of institutional power when it comes to blue cities. So I think those kinds of environments gave them time to perfect their craft in a way. And I think a lot of Republicans, sadly, were just asleep at the wheel. I think Republicans, because we are good natured, because we are honest and we truly want the best for this country, we don't think like our enemy, right? We're not devious. We're not trying to cheat, of course, but what we've come to realize, I think, with Trump is that he's really pulled back the curtain, right, and shown us who these people are. He's shown us the Swamp's true colours. I mean, for so long, you know, we didn't know just how much the people in, you know, the D.C. Beltway despised those of us outside the Beltway, those of us who have traditional American values, but Trump kind of showed us who they are. And I think that's a wake-up call, right? we realize now that we're sort of playing a game of poker, one side's cheating, and we haven't been cheating this whole time, so we're wondering why we're losing, right? We need to get off the deck, right? Play a totally different game. We have always kind of tried to beat the Democrats at their own game, at their own kind of methods and ways of doing things, and we need to break out of that kind of mental matrix, I think, and I think Trump, because he was such an outsider, was able to do that. He was not in this typical, you know, DC pipeline where you go from the RNC to a different think tank. And then, you know, you become a lobbyist and you cash in and you don't really care about what Americans are thinking and you're not in touch with the issues that matter to them. And I think because Trump was totally outside that world, it allowed him to bring that different perspective. And of course there was backlash, right? The traditional kind of Republicans, what I like to call the establishment Republicans were fearful of that. They don't want someone to come in and kind of shake things up. So I think you're always gonna see those elements with Trump even in the 2024 campaign. You're gonna see folks at the RNC that aren't totally on his side that are maybe even kind of trying to hurt him in ways that are underhanded and things of that nature. But I think that what we need is someone who is an outsider. We can't have someone fix it from the inside, right? The system has become so entrenched, so corrupt, we need kind of a bulldozer to go through it and to just blow it all up and rebuild it as something that is really for the American people. And I think that person is Donald Trump in 2024. I think, you know, it's always been Trump. He has started something that cannot be put back in the bottle. You know, the genie can't be put back in the bottle. The America First movement isn't going anywhere, even after Trump. I think a lot of people in the UK as well with Brexit, I think you saw a lot of people wake up to just the way things had been done. It wasn't working for them. It didn't represent them. There was this cabal of global elite that that didn't have their national interests at heart. And I think the American people and perhaps the British people know that and they're ready to fight. They're not gonna forget. I remember at CPAC, listened to one and a half hours of Trump and it was pure theatre, loved it. We'll get into that and I won't talk about clashing the Republican establishment and what Trump brings in, but you mentioned about playing the game. And one of the things that Republicans are playing catch up is how you vote, getting people to vote. And again, in the UK, so different. We have, well, probably well over 90% is voting on the day. We don't have your drop boxes, your collect as many bits of paper and fill them in. We don't have that. We don't have weeks and weeks of voting. We have one day from seven in the morning till nine at night. Playing the game means understanding how the other half are doing it and coming up with a better attack. And on the voting, on the getting out early, I've heard a lot of conversation about that, certainly in the War Room, Bannon talking a lot about Republicans having to wake up. Does that mean the ground game is better on using the system and getting those votes out early? Yeah, absolutely. And, you know, you talk about War Room, they mention this all the time, we need to be ballot harvesting, right? We need to be going up to individuals' doors, asking them to vote just as the Democrats have done. Republicans, again, because I think they're good-natured and honest, they want to vote typically in person on election day. They want to see their vote, you know, go in the machine. They want to present their ID. And there's no problem with that, right? Of course, that's a fantastic way to vote. But unfortunately a lot of the rigging that's happening is through the mail-in. So we can't shy away from the mail-in. And I think this is a mistake that we made on the 2020 campaign. We really went back and forth on the messaging, right? We said, oh, mail-ins are unconstitutional. We can't push for this, even with COVID. And then we also said, oh, wait, but if you do want to vote, you know, mail-in. If you do feel kind of, you know, it's a danger to your health going to your precinct, then please mail-in. So there was kind of a lot of back and forth. I think going along with our campaign messaging, I think we should have been much clearer on that. And I think you see President Trump being much clearer on that in his 24 race. But yeah, we can't shy away from mail-in voting. We have to have grassroots activists engaged as well. I think, you know, a lot of Republicans, they go to their day job and, you know, they follow politics as a hobby, but they're not really actively engaged in it. I think, you know, Democrats, all of them, it's basically their hobby, right, is politics. They're knocking on doors, they're protesting. They really have kind of cornered that activist market, especially for young people. So I tell people, you know, in DC all the time or outside of DC, just get off the side-lines, right? Run for your school board, become an election poll watcher. There are so many different things that you can do, even at small local levels that will make a change in your county, in your state, and ultimately in your country. We can't afford for anyone to be sitting this one out. I think this is truly the most pivotal election that we are going to have in American history. We are truly fighting for the future of our country. So we all have to be a part of it. We can't have any single person, you know. Just checked out or leaving it up to the professionals everyone has a role to play everyone has a vested interest in this country, too right, if you have kids if you have grandkids you want them to grow up in a nation as great as the one you remember. I talked to so many older folks or the boomer kind of generation. They have such fond memories of Reagan's America, right? It was such a wonderful place to live. It was safe. The economy was booming. We were kicking the Soviets butts. It was just a wonderful time and I think, you know, they see what our country has devolved into so quickly and they're disheartened but it really needs to kind of be a kick in the butt in many ways. They need to realize I need to fight for my children's future because I want them to have all of the freedoms and opportunities that I had as a kid and I think sadly those are slipping away. We are truly devolving into a radical Neo-Marxist kind of country with an ideology that is just pure evil. So we need to all be standing up and fighting against this and that starts at the ballot box, absolutely. Yeah. You talk about the establishment side and Trump, probably like no other, has shaped the party in his image to an extent, and probably even further shaped the Republican voter base in his image. I think that's probably more. And you mentioned Reagan. I don't know whether it's just people looking back and thinking it wasn't a great under Reagan. I don't know actually if at the time that it was seen as his party. So I think Trump's done it in a way that's never been seen before. Is that a fair enough comment? Yes, absolutely. And again, I think it's just because he is that brash outsider, right? You can't fit him into any box. He doesn't fit a mould. And I think traditionally, republicanism has really represented states' rights, small government, few taxes. That's always what we've thought of as right wing in this country for decades. And I think Trump came in and he said, no, we have big government. It's not going away. I'm going to use it. I'm going to weaponize the government powers that I have to protect the American citizens and to go after this woke bureaucracy that we're seeing entrenched in DC. He's also pretty populist, right? We've seen a lot of economic policy advancements from him, that aren't, you know, your traditional, we just want tax cuts and that's it. He wants to give people a chance, particularly young people. He's talked about it on the campaign trail with his, you know, freedom cities idea, building different freedom cities across national parks in the country to give young people the opportunity to realize their American dream, right? Because I think so many young people in this economy today, they're crippled with student debt. Inflation is just hitting them really hard. The idea of someday owning a home, owning a car even, raising a family, paying for college, it all feels so out of reach. Young people have been really, really tarnished by the economy that Biden has largely created. But even just the Democrats have largely created for years, right? They've shipped all of our manufacturing jobs overseas to China since basically the 90s, And they've essentially ripped off the American worker so much that, you know, the notion of having wealth or being able to accrue wealth just totally feels, you know, like a fantasy. It doesn't feel like something worth doing anymore. I even think to, you know, my parents' generation, my dad was able to have a home, purchase a home, own a home. On one salary, right. Now, that's almost, you know, unheard of. Two parents have to be working to be able to to be able to purchase a house. So I think that the kind of populist bent that Trump gives the Republican party is definitely why it is kind of in his image now. It's something totally different than Republicanism we've seen before. It is something that is new. It is something that's for the people. It's engaged with the base. I think too, a lot of Republicans for years haven't been engaged with their voters. They've been listening to, you know, pollsters in Washington, D.C. Talking to New York stockbrokers about what they should do. They've never quite been as in touch with the average American as Donald Trump is. So I think that's the difference. I think that's why this is truly his party. But like I said before, once you know this Trump saga is over, after his 24 presidency, once we're done with Donald Trump, I think this America First movement is here to stay. I don't think it's going anywhere. Well, I remember in 2016, I remember looking at Ben Carson. I thought Ben Carson was the best choice and then looking at Ted Cruz. And then when Trump got the nomination and then had a MAGA slogan, which wasn't a slogan, it went far, usually elections have slogans, but I think it went far beyond a slogan to actually a way of life, is, are we going to put America first or not? And that really struck me because now politicians aren't supposed to say they'll put their country first. That's bad in a global system, but Trump said, like, screw you. I'm going to put America first. That's the priority. And how, I guess, has it taken that long? Because there hasn't been a priority and the slipping away of US influence, US manufacturing, jobs on US oil has been slipping away, not just under Democrat, but under Republican. So, I mean, tell us about that and how that's changed things. Yeah, so a lot of people don't know this. This actually really largely started with Joe Biden. In 2001, Joe Biden advocated for China's inclusion into the WTO. And after that, in the next decade, from 2001 to 2011, the Chinese took 2.7 million jobs from Americans. So I think in many ways, Biden has actually kind of been the chief architect of this offshoring to China and elsewhere, to India and various places. And I think that because Republicans started to put GDP kind of above the interests of their countrymen. All they cared about was GDP. All they cared about was trade deals, right? And Wall Street numbers and things of that nature. They kind of just went along with it. They said, oh yeah, a global system, you know, it's great for our stocks. It's great for the millionaires on Wall Street, on K Street, they're all making bajillions. They have no kind of reason to stop this globalization because it's serving them. So I think Republicans and Democrats together really kind of created this crisis. And it has accelerated like crazy. I mean, I certainly didn't think America's decline would be so swift, but in the past, I mean, 20 years, you have just seen our economy totally tank. You have seen communities across this country be ravaged by economic crises. They are no longer able to enjoy the things of life that their grandparents did. They are leasing cars, they're leasing apartments. I even saw the other day Apple was offering some sort of lease an iPhone deal. It's kind of the WEF model of, you know, you will own nothing and you will be happy. We've been sold this totally false bag of goods. And it's totally contradictory to our identity as Americans, right? Americans care about ownership. We're very individualistic. You know, we're rough and we'll fight for what we want. And that's always been our identity. And unfortunately, this kind of global identity that has superseded America's identity in the eyes of our beltway and coastal elite has really been one that doesn't align with our founding. And I think it's really just been a disservice to the American people as well. I mean, over 50% of Americans today say they are living pay check to pay check. I mean, that is just something that would be unheard of in the Reagan years or even earlier than that. So I think that we're seeing a truly economic crisis. And for young people especially, I think it's just going to be immensely difficult, right? It's just such a barrier to entry now that you can't even, you know, get rid of student loan debt, that your salary can't even pay for somewhere nice for you to live. It's just what they have totally done to young people and to just people in general across this country, I think is really sick. And Trump is the only one who really kind of brought it to the light. He was the only Republican who said, Hey, these trade deals, they're not working for you. They're not in our interest. Why are we pursuing them? Why are we kind of just for, you know, Oh, this is the way we've done it. Why is that our approach? We need a totally different mindset. We need to completely decouple from China, bring all of our manufacturing and jobs here. You even look at the situation in Taiwan, right? The reason that we're kind of so hesitant to get involved in Taiwan or wondering if we should get involved is because our semiconductors are there, right? Of course we want freedom for the Taiwanese, but that's a big part of it, right? And we're in this situation where all of our semiconductor manufacturing is over there and we're in kind of a pickle because of the establishment Republicans and Democrats, because they've shipped all of our jobs overseas, all over the world. And they've just, they've really kind of tarnished the American working class in doing so. So I think, you know, Trump is really at the forefront of bringing those jobs home. I think that is one of the only things that can revitalise this economy because unfortunately, it has been on a downward trajectory for far too long. Supreme Court. They seem to be red pilled recently, like very recently. But stepping back, I mean Trump had nominated, was it, three Supreme Court judges and I was looking back and I mean, you look at Obama and Bush and Clinton, they did two in two terms. And I don't think, I mean... Two-thirds of our viewers are UK, about 20% are US, so most of our viewers won't realise the, I guess, importance and power that the Supreme Court has in US society in the law-making process. So tell us about it, because three Supreme Court judges is huge, that is a massive legacy, and who knows what will happen 24 to 2028? Yes. Right. No, absolutely. It is a massive accomplishment of the Trump administration. There is no question. And I think these three opinions that we've seen have been really encouraging for conservatives across the country. And of course, you know, we already see leftists now pushing ideas like packing the court. They're kind of flailing. I think they didn't think that, you know, conservatives would be able to fight back in this way using the court. And I think part of that is really an accomplishment of Trump. And I think it's a wonderful one. The affirmative action case in particular, I think is incredibly important. I mean, selecting individuals based on their race, not based on their merit or their skill set, is just totally backwards. And it's antithetical to every Western value that we've ever held, right? If you are able to do the work, if you are the most qualified candidate, then you should be selected, whether that is for a job promotion, for entry into a university, whatever it is. But unfortunately the left has totally turned that on its head and it's twisted it into this idea that race is all that matters and that we should judge people on the colour of their skin. And I just think as Americans, we have to stand up against that. I'm so encouraged to see the courts stand up against that. The other case, this student loan issue in particular, Biden's order using the COVID policies as leftover policies to justify his student loan cancellation of debt was completely against our American Constitution. There is no doubt about it. I will say, you know, I think conservatives need to come up with a creative approach to handle the student loan issue. So many of our young people, as I mentioned earlier, are saddled with debt. They've been kind of sold a false bill of goods. These universities have, you know, told them they need to attend in order to get a job and that they should major in something like gender studies, or even if they did major in something useful like engineering, the school has only taught them leftist indoctrination, right? That was something I experienced at my American university. I went to the University of California at Los Angeles. So, you know, it was totally in the lion's den there. And I was taking political science, which I wanted to be in politics. It was something that I thought would really prepare me and equip me, and boy, it did not. All I was told is that America's founding was evil, is that what it meant to be an American is to kill Native Americans. I mean, I was just totally, just faced with this radical leftism. I had professors who were openly Marxist. So I think, you know, in some capacity, we need to hold these universities accountable, right? They have large endowments. They should be paying at least a portion of the student loan debts that are just saddling and crippling our young people across this country, because what these institutions are doing is truly evil. They're jacking up the prices of college. I mean, I think when I paid my tuition, I was paying for green initiatives on campus. You can't say no to that kind of stuff. It's all wrapped in. I think these universities are really up to no good and we have to hold them accountable. And then the other case with the individual, the woman who didn't want to be conscripted to make the LGBTQ website, I think that's a massive win for social conservatism as well. I think that we've seen this kind of LGBTQ cult of indoctrination really forcing their hand on a lot of American institutions. You almost can't go anywhere in America in the month of June without seeing a rainbow flag or without being told you need to post that you stand in support with LGBTQ Americans. I mean, it's totally become in many ways a religion, right? We've always said in America, we have this separation of church and state. We don't anymore because our new state religion is this gender confusion. And we are exporting it across the world as well. We're sending money all over the world. We're funding pride parades in Prague, LGBTQ movie nights in Australia. I mean, the way that this group has been able to kind of co-opt the American government and American institutions is totally ludicrous. And what they are doing is really engaging in grooming, especially of young people, right? One in five Gen Z Americans now identifies as LGBTQ. It used to be, you know, they just kind of pushed forward this born this way narrative. And it was a very small subset of the population that kind of stuck to themselves. And, you know, no one really cared what they did in the privacy of their own bedroom, but it's not in your own bedroom anymore. We're seeing this out on the streets. We are seeing these marchers parading in front of kids, largely naked. It is just devolved into total degeneracy. So I think pushing back against that as well with that decision is a massive win for Christian or socially conservative individuals. And I'm really encouraged to see these wins from the court. I will say the Democrats are of course going to try to fight back, right? We already saw these universities with the affirmative action case say that they're going to consider race in things like the essay. So we have to be sure that we're enforcing these rulings, right? I think the Supreme Court makes the ruling and then it's up to congressional leadership to, in many ways, pass legislation that will enforce and strengthen that ruling. So I think that's something to watch for in the coming months here. Yeah, all three surprised me. The LGBT one is probably the one that surprised me most and we've just struggled through Pride as well. And it's interesting because the church has not, really, really have collapsed in actually speaking truth and opposing that taking the rainbow and completely changing its meaning. But what is that, because here a lot of conservatives are so scared to even go against, because I think the aggression from, especially from the trans movement. What is it like, because MAGA seemed to be fully hardcore on these, in a way the Republican Party as a whole should be. And how is it that you've got a subsection, MAGA, actually willing to stand against the nonsense of Pride and everything it brings, but yet, if you look at the more established Republican who you'd think, I mean, you look at Fox News and they were promoting LGBT Pride Month. How has that happened? Right. I think that, you know, the kind of new right, this America First movement that Trump started, has really realized that the Christian conservatives we kind of mocked during the Obergefell decision that said, oh, you know, gay marriage is legal now. This will be a slippery slope. We mocked a lot of those people back in the day. And I was one of those, you know, I was a little bit more libertarian in my youth. I thought, you know, what you want to do is your business so long as it doesn't affect me. But I think those Christian conservatives who sounded the alarm were really right. Once, you kind of open the floodgates to a lot of this perversion, to a lot of this degeneracy. It sinks its teeth into almost every aspect of American life. You can't watch a children's show today that doesn't have a gay character. You can't, you know, walk into any university without being, you know, shown an LGBTQ flag or centre or things like that, right? It's absolutely ridiculous. So I think people have become so frustrated with how it's been shoved in their face because we were told, you know, oh, just be tolerant. They won't bother you. It won't affect your life. It affects everyone's day, every single moment now. So I think that realization that you can't just live and let live, right? There is always going to be some orthodoxy that is enshrined in the public square, and it needs to be an orthodoxy that is one of tradition, right? That is one of Western ideals of man and woman and marriage and things of that nature that are important and have stood the test of time. I think if our founders woke up today and they saw all of this craziness around us, they would be just shocked to the core. I mean, the way that the social decay has accelerated is absolutely nuts. So I think the new right and conservatives are kind of against the old Republican guard that think, oh, if you want to do that, that's fine. It doesn't affect me. Now it's in your kid's school, right? You're seeing teachers across the country that have gay books in their libraries or they're switching their child's pronouns without the knowledge of the parents. It's absolutely insane. And what they're doing is they're preying on children because those who cannot reproduce, they recruit, they groom. So what they're doing is they're targeting different opportunity demographics and that's largely children. And they're preying on a child's imaginative kind of creative point in their life, right? Because when you're a kid, you obviously you have no concept of your sexual self and you shouldn't until you reach puberty. That's very normal. That's how biology works. But unfortunately, the left has kind of gone after that period of maybe, you know, awkwardness. You had a growth spurt. You don't feel totally at home in your body. They're using that kind of growth and that period in a child's life and they're they're targeting it. They're twisting it and they're morphing it into something that is wholly evil. I mean, how awful is it to see trans violence across this country, too? I think we have truly sick, mentally ill people walking around. You have the Nashville shooter, for instance. There was a shooter just last night who police are saying was a cross-dresser. I think we have individuals who are really hurting, whether they have a mental illness. If that's body dysmorphia or something else. And what we're doing instead of giving them adequate care is we're just chopping off their fully functioning organs and injecting them with a bunch of foreign hormones. It is totally a recipe for disaster. And if we keep going down this road, we're going to have a population that is largely unstable and that's not conducive to societal success. That's not something we want to strive for. So we need to go after also a lot of these institutions that are pushing this stuff. I mentioned the universities earlier. They're a big portion of it. I think, big pharma is a big portion of it. They see these people as lifelong patients. They want to get them hooked on, you know, certain chemically castrating drugs, things like that. So we need to be really fighting against this stuff. And I think the new right, the America First Trump movement understands that, they know that this has gone too far, it's gone over the line. And we need to get back to our roots to our traditional concepts of gender, man and woman. Couldn't agree more. Keep it simple. There's only two. You're looking ahead to 2024. How does the, voting demographics break down? When you look at the youth vote, there are so many ones, but specifically looking at the youth vote. How do you see that working out? What are your thoughts on that? Yeah, so I think, you know, you'll hear a lot of Republicans say that Gen Z is a persuadable demographic. I'm not so sold being a member of that generation myself. As I mentioned, one in five Gen Z Americans identify as LGBTQ. I think this is truly the most radical generation that this country has ever seen. I think that these kids are Marxists. They've totally drunk the Kool-Aid and a lot of it too is largely not their fault, right? If you go to college apolitical in the United States, you are going to be a radical leftist by the time you get out. You have to go in with strong conservative values or you're just going to be indoctrinated, unfortunately, because your teachers, using their position of power, will espouse this radical left ideology that is just totally anti-American. It's not embracing of any other ideas or contrary views. So I think, you know, Gen Z is really going to be a problem for the Republican Party unless we start to shift narratives, right? Unless we start to really get ahead of issues that matter to young people. As I've been hitting home, you know, the economy is a major one. I talk to so many young people who just feel totally disenfranchised. They feel like their birth right has been stolen from them because they can't accumulate wealth. I'll give you an example. In 1998, which is the year I was born, millennials, Americans under 40, they held 13% of all national wealth. Today, that same age group, they hold just 5% of national wealth. So in almost 25 years, that's been cut in half. Young people are being totally wrecked by this economy. So I think starting to put issues at the forefront, like the ability to have a family on one income, you see Blake Masters talk about that a lot. JD Vance talk about that a lot. I think that's something that's huge and going to attract a lot of young people, a creative student loan approach as well. I mentioned, you know, that I think colleges should be partially held accountable for it. I don't think it should just be up to the student to pay those off. A lot of times, traditional Republicans, they say, oh, you know, you took out the debt. It's your responsibility to pay. Absolutely. I think we should, you know, hold them accountable for at least some of it. But I also think these universities need to be punished. And then I think, you know, we need kind of a dual-pronged approach to that issue. I also think the social issues matter a lot to young people. I think the loudest voices in the conservative youth movement, sadly, are kind of the radical kids, you know, the pro-choice or the LGBTQ mafia. But I tell young people all the time, remember, there are so many young Americans across this country, in middle America, in the quote-unquote flyover states, that believe your values, right? They go to church, they prescribe to a two-gender viewpoint of life, they want to start a family someday. So I think just being loud and voicing your opinions if you are a traditional kind of conservative-minded American is so important because the left wins when we feel alone, when we feel like I'm shouting into the void, no one shares my opinions, I'm totally on an island here, I'm all alone. And I think that when we realize that there are so many voters out there that agree with us, I try to remind myself just every day, you know, how many people support Donald Trump. When I look at pictures of his rally in South Carolina, I think, oh, wow, I live in D.C. where I'm behind enemy lines and I'm surrounded by swamp monsters, but there are people in South Carolina that believe in this message and that believe in this president. So I think, you know, young people, they're out there. They're kind of a silent majority. They just feel like they've been silenced and they can't voice their opinion. They need to get loud. We need those people to come off the side-lines. With a campaign, obviously, I've heard DeSantis speak when I was over in Florida in February. Then heard Trump speak at CPAC, and I know I've talked to so many people, I know you've experienced different viewpoints in family, I'm sure it'll be across the country, and as much as I think DeSantis is brilliant for what he's done in Florida, if Trump's in the ring, you don't even get in it. I mean, Trump is Trump. You don't, you just cheer him on. And I'm perplexed why anyone thinks they should go up against Trump. Mm-hmm. Yeah, and I agree with you, you know, I am not a DeSantis hater by any means I think what he's done for Florida is absolutely incredible particularly, you know during the COVID pandemic his leadership. He really was at the forefront of a lot of stuff pushing back against, you know Fauci and all the lunacy we saw coming from the CDC and HHS. So he has been really a fantastic governor for the state of Florida, but he's young, right? I think that you know, he certainly has a bright future maybe as our president someday. But I just don't think that time is yet. I don't think the Trump saga is over. You watch Trump on the campaign trail now. He is not missing a beat. He's totally 2016 Trump he looks as if he hasn't aged, that Florida Sun has been rather kind to him. His golf swing still just as strong as ever. So I think you know, we can't count him out he needs to finish what he started. I think too, there's always a learning curve with presidents, right? You get into the White House, you kind of have to get your bearings and assess the administrative state that's around you. That's what so many people don't realize is when you become president, you're kind of in charge of a lot of different agencies that are filled with individuals who aren't on your side. They didn't support your presidency. They've been working at, you know, the Department of Justice for the past 20 years. And they're totally, you know, a swamp creature that's radical and hates you and your platform and everything you ran for. So I think that can kind of be a difficult issue for a lot of presidents when they try to get things done. And I think Trump, he's used to that. He knows exactly who to fire. He knows where the bodies are buried. He kind of had that first term as a way to assess the deep state, just how entrenched it is, where we need to go after it. I think he knows better than anybody how to totally disrupt this woke and weaponized bureaucracy, and that's why I'm behind him 100%. I think you also see the media freaking out about him. He is absolutely the most hated individual by the DC establishment, by the mainstream media, by the global elite, and that's why I love him because the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Completely. Kingsley, thanks for coming on. Actually, I was wondering how you survived university and how you survived California. I think someone sent me a meme, stop complaining about your life. There are people literally living in California. How did you survive, it? Oh, it was very difficult. It was tough. Luckily, I had Raheem Kassam's National Pulse as a way to creatively have an outlet, but it is, those kids are wacky over there on the West Coast. Well, thanks for joining us. I'm looking forward to, obviously the viewers and listeners can watch your content throughout the campaign and of course follow Centre for Renewing America. So thanks for joining us today Kingsley. Thanks so much for having me, Peter.

Transcript (Hearts of Oak) Hello, Hearts of Oak, and welcome to another interview coming up in a moment with James Lindsay. Of course, the founder and president of New Discourses, and I was delighted to get him on after seeing him at a number of conferences over stateside. And it was his recent speech in the European Parliament, which really intrigued me. I know that has really gone viral. And I think the title was the Neo-Marxist Cultural Revolution Engulfing the West, now known as WOKE. What a title, what a topic to bring to the European Parliament. So he discusses the kind of response on that and how a lot of the battle lines that we are on, the Critical Race Theory and also the Queer Theory, how those fit under that socialist Marxist umbrella. He unpacks that and then we end up on education. He's just written a book, the end of last year, on the Marxification of education. We have no time to get into the topic, but I just wanted to get his thoughts on why he'd put pen to paper on a book specifically focused on education. So much packed in. I, know you'll have followed James for a long time. I know you'll enjoy listening to his thoughts on speaking in the European Parliament on such a topic and unpacking some of those other issues. And hello Hearts of Oak. Today it is wonderful to have a best-selling author with us of many titles. We'll refer to some of them, The Marxification of Education and Race Marxism, The Truth About Critical Race Theory, amongst many others. An internationally recognized speaker, the privilege of hearing him first at the American Freedom Alliance conference back in June last year, and the founder and president of New Discourses, and that is James Lindsay. James, thank you so much for your time today. (James Lindsay) Hey, I'm glad to be here. Thank you. It's great to have you and your handle there @ConceptualJames on Twitter, Gab, Truth, GETTR, and newdiscourses.com is the website. People can find everything there. Before we start, James, could I just ask you to take a moment and introduce yourself before we get down to the issue? That's actually a hard thing to do. I'm a very kind of peculiar character, I think, and kind of the whole thing. But the long and short of it is that my academic training was in mathematics. I received a PhD in mathematics, or completed one, I suppose. They didn't give it to me. They don't give those away. But I earned a PhD in mathematics in 2010. I immediately left academia after finishing my doctorate. I became disillusioned with the course that it seemed to be on at the time. Then I just worked for myself at a small private enterprise for a number of years. To be academically engaged, I got involved with fighting with people online basically. This led to discovering the woke movement quite early on. This led to my participation in what was called the grievance studies affair, which I'm fairly well known for, which is where we wrote a large number of at fake academic articles for feminist journals in 2017 and 18 for whatever it's worth there's a new film that just came out telling the backstory with all of that a man named Michael Nayna put that out and it's called The Reformers, so you can find that on his substack, which I think it's michaelnayna.substack.com, The Reformers is the name of the film. John Cleese apparently saw it the other day and loved it, so that's a pretty ringing endorsement. From there, I went on to write, actually, Cynical Theories next, which is a book that did extremely well at getting some of this information into people's hands. It's actually hit somewhere around a quarter million sales, so a lot of people had a chance to encounter these ideas, which is the ultimate goal. And then I built New Discourses from there and I spent all my time researching, studying. Basically the woke movement and all of its kind of intellectual, intellectual is a generous word for them, antecedents and forebears. So I created New Discourses with the goal, it says all fancy on my website, shining the light of objective truth into subjective darkness. But the fact, that was my business partner's idea, honestly, the goal was I want to study woke and understand woke and expose woke and everything that's tied to it as fast as I can create and publish materials. And so that's what it's for. So it hosts mostly three different podcasts that I have in-house as well as articles that I write, videos that I do, and you can find links to the books that I've written, which which we tend to publish in-house because publishers are so slow and this is moving so fast. So anyway, that's me. I don't know how many books I've technically written now because some of them are blurry and they're, you know, things I've done with other people and some of them have been translated into a large number of languages. Those are the things that people care about. A lot of people know me because I've been on Joe Rogan's podcast three times also, which gets you kind of in the public eye a little bit. Okay, well, it's that criticism of woke ideology that I saw two months ago. You were in the European Parliament. You delivered a short address at a conference there, Woke a Culture War Against Europe. How did that come about and kind of how was that received? Well, they just reached out to me. Apparently the group there, which is a European-wide political party called Identity and Democracy or Identity Democracy Foundation, something like this. I don't quite know the organizational structure of these things. They invited me because they put together a three conference series to be held there at the European Parliament in Brussels and asked, they thought that I would be a perfect voice for the inaugural of the three, the first of the three. And so they invited me to come to Brussels and speak at the parliament. And so I gratefully accepted and went over and somehow or rather luckily delivered what I believe is given the fact of the significance of the room that I think I delivered my best public address I've ever delivered, which worked out pretty good because I could have bombed that sucker. And it was very good and very succinct. Part of it was that I realized the night before talking to another audience that there's a language barrier that kind of cuts across my humour, so I had to be very plain spoken. Maybe I should take notes on that and deliver more plain spoken addresses in the future. But it was received extremely well. Now, of course, the room was largely composed of MEPs that are of that party, so you would expect them to be interested in these ideas. It was also, there was a group there, the other speaker was Frank Ferretti, and a fairly well-known guy. And so his organization had a contingent there. And other than that, it was actually kind of timed to correspond with a youth conference for the ID Foundation. And so it was primarily a lot of people in their twenties, political interns and people interested in political party, young people. So most of the people were in their twenties, they were younger. And of course, their energy is really good, really, really a positive reception there. It came out online and they got a little bit of attention. And then for whatever reason, I don't know why a month later it went viral and it has just blown up everywhere. And the reception online has been extraordinarily positive. I'm sure that there are people who are very unhappy that that happened, but I haven't heard much from them. Well that group, the ID group, is a fantastic group, probably the best bulwark against what is happening in Europe, and I've watched them closely through all my involvement of politics over the many years. But could I ask you, what was it like going into the, I guess, the ruling chamber in Europe and helping them understand the danger of socialism, which many of them call themselves socialists. They really do believe the state knows better than the individual. What was like kind of going into that? Obviously the ID group are on side, but as a chamber, as a parliament, they're very much against anything that will shine the light on the evils of socialism. So what was that like, kind of explain to them the dangers of socialism? Well I mean it was surprisingly, again surprisingly positive, I thought it might be quite hostile. I thought there might be at least some people who would come by, you know, interested to see what people against their view might say. But I don't get the impression, or at least anybody who did stayed very professional and very polite. It was a very I mean, I don't want to say it's a very bureaucratic building because I don't know that I got that impression. But it's a very, very professional environment. So that wasn't, it wasn't like where I spoke at North-western University a month ago and got heckled and yelled at and protested the whole time or anything like that. The building itself was more interesting than my experience inside of it, I don't know if you visited Brussels and seen this but so walking around there's a... Brussels is, I'm sorry any Belgians watching is not the most beautiful city Down in the older part of the city the older the where the castles and things are that part is quite nice but over by the Parliament is, it's just kind of plain European city. It's not particularly beautiful. So but there's a little park there that's okay. And I found it striking that right outside the backside of the European Parliament building, there's a small grassy area with a number, maybe a dozen, maybe two dozen, somewhere in between statues in the grass. And what they are, when you look at them at first, you think, what are these? Are these aliens or something very peculiar? And you look closer, but no, they're ostriches with their heads buried in the ground, all of them. So it looks like a three-legged thing, but it's not. It's an ostrich with its head buried in the sand and there are you know dozens of these and I thought that's a weird installation to have, you know, on on site then you come around to the front to go into the to the actual Parliament building which you can't do without passes and a guide and all these things you can't just go in, but there's this statue right by the door that I found very striking and it's of this kind of very angry almost Soviet looking woman holding up a very sharp, angular, I'm trying to dig into the semiotics here like aggressive European and, you know, Euro-e. And she's standing triumphantly over a man that she seems to have conquered, who looks quite dejected and broken and so, you know, there's there's this weird vibe about the place, plus it's this weird building of steel and glass and an otherwise kind of fairly quaint European city, that just this kind of this glass. It's not the scary circular one that's in Spain or wherever that is. It's but this is, you know, intimidating steel and glass structure, that is just so out of character for the rest of the city. But as far as being inside the building, we went afterwards, after it was all people that were on site. And then after the talk, there was a little reception out in the hallway. And that was all, nobody bothered us. And then we went upstairs to do some interviews. And there was at the interview area with all the cameras, the media area, with the good lighting and all of that, There was another group, and I don't know who exactly they were, Renew Europe or something like this, I think is what it said, and they had a European Union flag with the stars. But instead of it being solid blue, that kind of deep blue that they use, it was rainbow. I think the stars might have not been in a circle, but might have been in a heart or something silly. So I asked them, and so obviously these people are not my people, so I asked them, I said, I love your flag, can I borrow it for a picture? And they were quite accommodating and they had a friendly chat with me and they don't know my views, but they were polite and professional as one would expect in a building of that sort. So I didn't find it's, I find more hostility going into American government buildings from Democrats here in the US than I experienced in the EU. But that might've just been stroke of luck or something like that. Just before I move to the issues, how do you see it? Because as an American, there is a culture where there is a battle happening, and it is one side against the other. When you look at Europe, it's much more one-sided than it is in the US. In the US, we look across the water and see the battle amongst the side of truth as being positive, strong, having arguments and holding the line, where in Europe, even the good countries have been succumbed into that EU of hating themselves and of rewriting history and all of that. How do you see that as an American? Well, I'll point out first, because I do agree with you generally, not the Flemish, the Flemish do not have that attitude. For certain and I found that I was spending quite a bit of time with it with Flemish men and women and some of the Italians do not have that attitude and they were very nice to spend time with, even a few Germans would they're very German, you know, everything must be according to the protocol, you know, very, I love Germans, but no, the fact is, what I see in Europe is that Europe is far more tipped to socialism, far more tipped to kind of this overarching, less accountable or even unaccountable governance. This bureaucracy that's beyond the reach of the people, and it knows better, and therefore, you know, it's going to deal with the people for them than we see here in America. But it's not nearly as woke and that was actually kind of the crux of this conference that they wanted to put together is yes, yes, we know we're very socialist and we know we're very far down that road, but whatever's happening in the Anglosphere, so the UK is actually heavily included in this, it's a very different animal than continental Europe, is very crazy. It's properly almost insane. There was no confusion that I ran into among virtually anybody, about what a man and a woman for example, and in the European context. But the idea that the taxpayer money would just be wasted on everything that they want to do is, you know, just kind of taken for granted. It's just something they say, of course, this is how things work. Of course, the taxes will be crazy. Of course, we'll waste money on flying a stupid American over here and giving him lots of beer or something like this, you know, to show him a good time in Belgium. So it's a very different attitude. Europe is very dangerously tipped toward favourability toward socialism, but it's still repelling, and that was really again the crux of the conference, it's still repelling the very almost antinomian, insane, woke kind of, whether it's race, race politics is actually the most relevant. The sex and gender politics, people are a little bit naturally repellent to that still, but I don't think that that can last if they open the doors. So my goal was to warn Europe, like, yeah, you guys are already pretty well screwed up with socialism and maybe, you know, talking to the Flemish, maybe you can turn some of this around or do something with it in the future, but you do not know your danger if you think that you can kind of just not be proactive in keeping the woke ideology out. Yeah. You end, I don't know if it was actually the end or in the middle, telling them that according to Marx, socialism was not economic but religious in essence. Do you want to just kind of unpack that and is that why we are having this difficulty because it is religious in nature? Well Marx made it, he tried to make it look very much like it was economic. But if you read his earlier works, which sort of set the foundation and you catch the flavour of it throughout his as later works, Marx was very invested in this idea of understanding the world and man at a fundamental level. What is man? Who is man? And to answer these deep fundamental questions, and what does it require of man to do this? And so I actually think that he's more of a theologian in a kind of an anti-theology way. He's casting down God and replacing God with not man, but man enlightened to the secret truth of reality, which is that man is a social animal, a perfectly social being that lives not for himself but for the species when he's properly awakened to who he is. My contention is that if you take that as a fundamental substrate so that then it separates the world into the people who have access to power and the people who do not have access to power, then that they're intrinsically in conflict so that the underclass has to to awaken to its nature's true historical agents of change and seize the means of production, that the means of production are, in a sense, fungible. You can change them out. But the idea is that what are you producing? And everybody thinks it's, oh, it's economics. You're producing in the factory with goods and services. You're producing in the field with food and agricultural goods, and that's the hammer and the sickle, obviously. But no, you're producing man. You're producing man as who he's meant to be, which that's a fundamentally theological project, not a fundamentally economic project. And Marx believed that economic conditions to determine who man is. But if you were to say, well, it doesn't work, obviously in Britain and obviously in the United States and in Canada, economic conditions were not successful at agitating people into the historical class consciousness as change agents of history. But if you say that race or sex or gender or sexuality or whatever, those are actually the determinants. When you have material comfort. When you have, as some of the Marxists in the 20th century put it, an advanced capitalism that delivers the goods and allows people to build a good life, you are not going to get them on economic conditions. Economic conditions are not determinant of who they are. They are, but on a deeper level that they don't perceive. This is the thesis of Marcuse's one-dimensional man. You've been made one-dimensional. You can't even perceive the fact that economic conditions are relevant to your life. So instead, you have to come where it matters, which is in personal identity. If you're comfortable, where do you turn? You turn to yourself and you think about your identity and who you are in the world. And so identity politics became the weapon that allowed to subdue the West. So if you take out economic conditions as the producer of man, where the means of production have to be seized and you put in cultural issues around race or what it means to be a certain sexuality or what it means to be man or woman in terms of sex itself and gender, then you can just kind of get these other dimensions, whether it's critical race theory or queer theory or feminism as a kind of a Marxist flavour of feminism or within what they call critical pedagogy in education. It's who gets to be a knower and who doesn't. So being considered knowledgeable becomes a form of social property that has to be challenged by the people who are excluded from it by the existing knowing system. Listen to the way the woke talk. It's all about other ways of knowing and knowing systems and all of this. That's where this comes from. But it's the same fundamental architecture. It's, you have this theology of man, or maybe I think the technical word is an Anthroposophist, I can't even say it, anthrosophist, something. Anthro for man, sophi for, you know, sophistry. Sophistry of mankind. Somebody else can say it for me. I can write it. Type it out on the screen for you, but it's technically that, but you have this theology that has at its heart the idea that man is producing himself by some mechanism, and that mechanism can be seized by the underclass of its dynamic and taken over to transform what man and society is. And every one of their theories just, once you understand it that way, every one of their theories just falls out. So you can start making very keen guesses on what's going to happen as this progresses and develops. Here's one, I think I mentioned this in the EU, and I think it's very pertinent for the both European but also the UK context. So if you'll forgive me, just for simplicity, I'm going to consider the UK part of Europe. I know, we can't do that, but I don't want to have to say UK and Europe over and over again. So the broadly European, maybe I'll use broadly European context, that side of the Atlantic context, what you actually have, you guys live in, there is actually a text you can read. If you want to figure out what's happening in Europe, you read Douglas Murray's, The Strange Death of Europe. There is a single text, it's not that long, that you can read to fully understand whose Europe you live in, and it's John Paul Sartre's Europe. He wrote the foreword to Franz Fanon's Wretched of the Earth, so you're not going to go find one of Sartre's books. You're going to go get Wretched of the Earth, which is by Franz Fanon, who was a post-colonialist in the 50s and 60s in France. You're going to go get his book. And then he is from, I always get it wrong, Martinique. He's from Martinique. And so he was in this kind of colonized condition, but also a French psycho analyst. And so that forward though has a very important part. The book is all about, the colonial condition. So who's a native and who's a settler. And now you have that same dynamic, that same mentality, the same exact structure of how it creates who you are as a person. And Fanon argues that violence is the only way to overcome the colonized condition. And Sartre writes in the foreword to this that Europe, he has a letter to Europe, and he's like, Europe, you better listen. The payment for colonization is coming. And this is in the 60s. What you need to do, early 60s, you need to do is you need to decide, are they gonna get it by violence or are you going to propitiate yourself and give it away and hope that the violence doesn't come? And he urges Europe to start giving away their society to their former colonies. When they come and make a claim on your society, give it to them. Maybe they won't be violent. Maybe they'll spare you. So in the kind of very Trumpian, I see a Trump hat behind you, so very Trumpian kind of slang language of the 2020s, go ahead Europe and cuck yourself before the people who you previously colonized, give your societies away to them or else there'll be blood, is the message. And that is literally the message that Europe adopted. So while you haven't in Europe broadly construed, although the UK has taken up with quite a bit of woke. Scotland is, in Ireland or Scotland especially, is particularly bad. You guys have taken up quite a lot of this, but the element of the broad woke pantheon of powered gods or whatever that really strikes hardest is this post-colonial status, which has allowed you or made it so that not only have you guys opened your borders utterly, but that the entire social welfare state that you guys have built up around your socialist sensibilities pours into this yawning black hole of need. And the reason is discoverable in a French existentialist Marxists wailing about a post-colonialist saying that there must be blood to pay for colonization, which is a very obviously you're not allowed to even say these things, but a very one-sided understanding of, the impacts of colonialism. Yes, bad, but also you're not even allowed to mention that yes, good, too. It was a mixed bag brought through brutality and much injustice for certain, but at the same time time. Ethiopia famously is the least or the only completely uncolonized, if I remember right, country in that area of Africa. And they're also the ones that have been struggling the most and the most backwards in many regards for so long. They were the Somalia and Ethiopia where when I grew up as a kid, it was, you know, the starving kids in Ethiopia, eat your peas because the starving kids in Ethiopia don't have any, you know, they were the, they the poster child of backwards and broken. Maybe that was a meme that's not true, I don't know, anyway, Europe has that on its plate, and I think that's comprehensible. I actually think the strange death of Europe is utterly comprehensible out of the foreword that, Sartre wrote. If you read any of Sartre, who the hell wants to live in his world? What a nightmare. Well, you do, and what a nightmare. Tell us, because you mentioned colonialism, that's one of the battle lines, the critical race theory is one of the battle lines, you talked about that and how that fits under socialism. I know it was last year you published Race Marxism, the truth about critical race theory and people can get that. The links will be in the description for them to get hold of that and to go deeper into it. But how does critical race theory fit under the umbrella of socialism or Marxism? Well, it's a redistribution of cultural capital that ties into actually redistributing material capital. So the idea is that there's this form of cultural property that white people erected for themselves during the colonial eras, particularly to justify colonialism and to justify slavery in the 17th century, primarily 16th and 17th centuries, going some into the 18th century. And falling apart in the 19th century. So this idea of whiteness as a cult form of cultural property that generates white supremacy and racial superiority and even racial identification was created by white people to enshrine their own power and to impose, racial identity and inferiority, social and cultural and even economic inferiority on others. So-called people of colour, but particularly blacks and critical race theory builds out completely from this. And the goal then is to seize the means of cultural production around the ideas of what it means to be a member of a certain race. And it's actually a very interesting theory because it's still, unlike some of these other woke theories which seem just off in the air, it's got one foot very firmly still rooted in material reality. It's in a sense a lot more, not explicitly Marxist, but much more critical and materialist. And if you read their early writings, in fact, if you read virtually all of their writings through the 1990s, and I expect, so 70s through the 90s, and I expect we're gonna see another rash of this writing coming now, given what's happening in the United States Supreme Court. It's a very American theory, by the way. It doesn't really fit in other contexts, and Europeans have noticed, as have Brits. Like, we didn't do this, what are you talking about? But the fact is what it's really centered around is seizing the means of affirmative action, is what it's ultimately about. And I don't say that to be cheeky. If you read their books, affirmative action is brought up as a core and key issue hundreds of times. It's not mentioned kind of tangentially here or there, it is a central issue that comes up again and again. And their goal is that they're seeing affirmative action gaining public disfavour through the, say, the 80s. They see, you know, the Supreme Court starting to say, well, maybe it needs a time limit. And they explicitly say, no, it doesn't need a time limit. Not only do we need to maintain it, we need to expand it. It needs to be bigger and more and more and more. So it's like it's very materialistic, seize the means of opportunity redistribution, I guess, in material resources. This is where the reparations conversations come in. And so it takes the entire architecture of literally of Marxism, infuses it with the later critical theory, and then recentres it in race. And in fact, you can find authors like Gloria Ladson Billings is a famous critical race theorist. In the 90s, she writes a paper called Toward a Critical Race Theory of Education. And what she says is in that paper, and I can't quote it from memory anymore, I used to do it a lot, but she says that, the point of critical race theory is to make race the central variable for understanding all inequality. So is where a classical Marxist would say that access to capital is the central concern that determines all inequality, and that's the production of man for critical race theorists, is that race actually supersedes that. And there's a wonderful book explaining all this that I thought was extremely clarifying and elucidating. It's one of the better books that I've read. It's by a former philosopher of race. I've been told I'm not allowed to call him a critical race theorist, technically. His name's Charles Mills, very famous guy. He wrote a book called The Racial Contract, which takes Rousseau's social contract and turns it into a racial phenomenon. But he also wrote a book called From Class to Race, where he explains how he moved from being a classical Marxist to a critical race philosopher. And he argues that he became convinced that at least in the American context, when we understand what Marx was really saying, what he really meant by ideology, what he really meant by social structures, superstructure, infrastructure, the base, and how they interact to create a structure of society, that race is by far the more relevant variable in American society, in American history. So he moves from, it's a book about his own philosophical journey, From Class to Race. And it's the title of the book, From Class to Race, by Charles Mills. It's a staggeringly interesting book. The first chapter was so eye-opening to understand Marx. It's one of the top three most important things I've read to understand Marx. And he's got a very heterodox view, according to Marxist standards. So people criticize my view of Marx, as I've largely derived it from Charles Mills, who's a Marxist, just a fairly heterodox one. He's late Charles Mills to be clear. I don't know if I mentioned he died a few years ago. But that's, in a nutshell, what critical race theory is. Rather than capital being the special form of private property that basically appropriates every deterministic thing in society, including who you are as a person, race becomes, whiteness in fact, becomes the central piece of private property. This is based off of a paper explicitly called Whiteness as Property, written by Cheryl Harris, a famous critical race theorist, in 1993. I think, they're always in really big ones, I think that one's Harvard Law Review. It might be Cornell Law Review. I have to always kind of look up and check where it was published, but it's one of these very big universities law review. And it's a very, it's like 93 pages. It's a very long article arguing that whiteness functions in parallel to the way that Marx lays out capital as a form of bourgeois private property. She even uses the phrase bourgeois property a few times in the paper, that the white people have set themselves up as a racial bourgeoisie and everything just kind of follows from there. And so critical race theory becomes this, that's why I titled the book Race Marxism, as a matter of fact, this Marxist theory of race. It latches onto that post-colonial, just for you broadly UK, European context folks, it latches onto that because there are often racial components to colonialism. I mean, if you've colonized Africa, most of the people you've colonized happen to be black. If you've colonized Asia, most of the people you've colonized happen to be Asian. So you can understand why they would attach these arguments about whiteness and race back through, and that's kind of the back door there in the UK-European context, is that they're using the colonial context and then saying, well, the real reason for all this was racial, where it's not, it's straight up, it's directly, openly, unabashedly, historically, imperial. It's the British empire was proudly an empire. The Spanish empire was proudly an empire. You know, their goal up until World War II, I think every European country threw on its hat to try to conquer the world of its empire. And then finally we realized with nuclear weapons and machine guns and jet airplanes and things like that, carpet bombing, maybe that's not good anymore. Maybe military colonization is not a functional approach for a humanity that wants to survive, into the 21st century. Well, can I, then another battlefront, and you raised this so that you didn't really go into it in the speech, is queer theory. And I think that's where we have more of a battleground in Europe. Critical race theory seems to be less an issue, certainly in our education system, where it is queer theory, and of course, we're celebrating the holy month of pride this month. But tell us, how does that- How does that- The power be upon us. And how does that fit under socialism queer theory? Yeah, well, it's the same model. So if we understand this concept that there's economic conditions blah blah blah and you get all of Marxism that falls out from the Marxist kind of axioms, and then you say well if we consider economic production to be fungible for racial production as a cultural property, then you get critical race theory Well, if we consider both of those again to be fungible and we pull out that and we say well there's a certain class in society that have designated themselves by virtue of their larger numbers by virtue of having been successful and put themselves in positions of power, but they've declared themselves normal. And other people outside of that are not normal, or they're abnormal, or they're aberrant, or they're perverts, or they're queer, queer against normal, and the kind of even old meaning of the word, then queer theory falls out in your lap. It's just that simple. But this is a very scary phenomenon, whereas critical race theory at its very bottom has, and Marxism both at their very bottom, have a blatant visible grift involved. We're going to seize the means of production. We're going to establish a permanent and stronger and increasing, accelerating affirmative action regime. These are very blatant grifts. We're going to take resources and power for ourselves as an identifiable group of people or whatever. With the queer theory, it's a very different thing. They're looking at the cultural production, it is largely sex, gender, and sexuality, but it can apply to anything. Fat studies emerged mostly in the UK, as it turns out. So did the study of ability, what's called the social model of disability, is from a a man named Michael Oliver, who was a Brit. I don't remember where, if he was London or where, but they actually use the same underlying architecture and engine as queer theory. So now instead of it being about sex or gender or sexuality, it's about your body weight, your health status, your ability status as a very awkward politically correct term we use to not say handicapped or whatever. Well, in America, is fatness now a designated characteristic in New York? I don't know how that's going to work, but yeah. Yeah, that's right. Yeah, I've been I noticed in December that I had some fatness going on. So I, believe, get this I started eating less and moving more and the fatness started to go away. It's incredible Revolutionary Yeah, I know you guys use fake measurements like kilos or stones or whatever that nobody knows what they are, I think I lost like I'll do it in stones. I think I lost 1.6 stone If I'm making up numbers correctly, whatever that works out to is 28 pounds. Maybe you could get repatriations for the time you were over with at all. I don't know could be I hope so but the idea with queer theory is anything that kind of the broad consensus of society considers normal is, illegitimately determined so that certain people get to have power. So what they're trying to do is seize the means of production of of normalcy, what people consider within the boundaries of normal or normative or even healthy or good behaviour, presentation, being, society. And that's very dangerous because unlike the other ones, see, critical race theory has to at the end of the day maintain its grift, right? Marxism at the end of the day has to maintain its grift. Queer theory, the second is let's say that they get LGBT or just LGB, they get gay acceptance, gay marriage, gay equality, gay everything, full civil rights movement that succeeds. I actually think that that's separate, by the way, the civil rights movement was more of a broadly liberal phenomenon, and I think it was separate from this very radical phenomenon. And there's a much historical and theoretical reason to accept that I know what I'm talking about with that claim, but you get broad LGBT acceptance in society, full equality in society, etc., and that becomes a new norm. Immediately you have to attack the new norm, and they actually have names for this. They have words. Homo-normativity. You've heard of heteronormativity that has to be combated. Homo-normativity has to be combated, and homo-normativity means the the broad acceptance of homosexual people in society, that's a problem because it actually prevents them from being radicalizable. Anything that would cause somebody to become a stable functioning member of society within the boundaries of normal has to be attacked. So every inch of ground queer theory takes, it has to turn around and wage war on its previous success to take it even further. They have to constantly, they call it queering. They have to constantly say, well, if you actually look at the people who designated that they're normal, a lot of them are perverts and private. So are they really normal? Or are they just repressed and have to keep their perversion in the closet? And that's just like other people being in the closet and they blur out all these contexts. But it's a war against normalcy. It's a war against norms. It's a war against decency and expectations of decency. It's also a war against any boundaries. The boundaries, you could say that, maybe it's artificial, the boundaries between heterosexual versus homosexual. But at some point, we're not talking about artificial boundaries, the paedophilia, bestiality, these kinds of very perverse things. The boundaries between what in the slang terms get called vanilla and kink. There's some kind of boundary. They say that these things are all actually, there is no boundary. There's no meaningful boundary and their goal is to dissolve those. So what ultimately happens is, queer theory is like a universal solvent. It's an acid that will dissolve anything. And anything that you try to put as a container around it, it necessarily has to dissolve that too. They even have, I thought there was just one, I looked it up, There are many papers that have some variation of queering queer theory as their title in their queer literature, Because queer theory itself had become too normative. So they have to queer that they have to make it even weirder less normative, and so it's uh it's socialist though in the sense that it's trying to seize the means of production and redistribute shares of social acceptance and opportunity, according to whether or not you're considered normal. Phrases like bring your whole self to work are very queer. Like, no, do not bring it. Leave most of yourself at home, as a matter of fact, is actually what we call professionalism. And that they would say that that's restrictive of people who say want to wear fetish gear to the office, kind of like we have in our White House happening right now. Kind of very visibly what we have. There's military officials wearing literally pup fetish, we had this bizarre character in charge of our nuclear waste and other things who was stealing women's clothing from airports and he's been arrested now three times for this. And it turns out he's a member of this troop that's now controversially the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence in Los Angeles that is doing the very antinomian religious provocation at Dodger Stadium that's all in the news. He's not a current member, he was a former member Sam Brinton is this character's name, you know, bald, shiny head, looks like an alien, has a moustache dressed in a fabulous gown he stole from some woman of colour immigrant who built it, that you know herself. Very bizarre, but queer theory is well, who's this? There's an old sketch on Saturday Night Live. I encourage people to look this up It's it's the character's name is sex ed. So it's sex ed Vincent. His name is Ed Vincent. He's a sex educator Everybody should look this up This is the perfect expression of queer theory and actually post-modernism where he's describing very bizarre fetishes as a joke, right? It's very funny and he's obviously very nerdy weird guy, but then it's his tagline is, is that weird? well who's to say, and he's teaching like a class, is that weird? and everybody says like who's to say, that's the ultimate idea of queer theories is that outside of the boundaries of normal? Well who gets to say that obviously people who set themselves up that way so we're gonna redistribute who has the power to determine what is and is not normal including drag queens in front of children and you know, provocative displays pride parades as a parade for for civil rights or even to celebrate the fact that for many years homosexuals were very oppressed in society, often viciously oppressed in society a pride parade that would just march and you know wave flags or whatever for a day, as it used to be would be one thing. This isn't what happens at all this thing is this crazy celebration that sprawls now across not just a month with a season. The entire public square turns into a rainbow for for upwards of 60 days and beyond. It's you know, there are fetishists running around enticing children and doing crazy things. It's really turned into something like a much grosser version of carnival, and it's, their fundamental view is well, is that out of bounds? Well, it's illegitimate if anybody but us decide, every individual should get to decide for themselves what's publicly out of bounds. So this is, literally like it to some very Jordan Peterson issues. It's the chaos monster right or the chaos dragon It's Tiamat being released on society that will ultimately tear it apart. Just to finish off, your latest book published in December was an education, The Marxification of Education, Paolo Ferrer's critical Marxism and the Theft of Education. We have no time to go into the topic at all, it is there, links are all there for the viewers and listeners, but could I just ask you as we finish, why you wanted to write a book specifically on education. Well I got sucked into it. I was gonna, I knew it was important and nobody was covering what's called Critical Pedagogy, the Critical Theory of Education. So I read a couple of books on it, got a little informed. I thought I would do a flyby, and just, you know, a reconnaissance flyby, give some people some pictures. And it turns out it was like trying to do a flyby of Jupiter, I just got sucked into the gravity and stuck. It's just a huge universe, and it's so complicated. But I wrote the book particularly, I call it, you know, The Theft of Education, because I kept encountering parents who were saying, they're telling me they're not doing this in our school, but I know they're doing it in our school, I experience it with my children. What's going on? And so I had read enough to understand the magic trick, how they've stolen education, what the mechanism is. And it actually is the same trick I've described. We don't have to go into the nitty gritties, but they've set up who gets to be constituted as a knower. Who does society recognize as a knowledgeable person versus somebody who's recognized as ignorant or outside of that. And they've created a Marxist seize the means of production program, where Paolo Ferrari did out of that. And then he created a mechanism in education where you use the academic material as an excuse to have political conversations. So that's how they do it. They don't technically teach critical race theory. They show a math problem and use it as an excuse to have a discussion about racial injustice and do this over and over and over again. Informed by critical race theory would be more accurate than teaching critical race theory. And so I wanted to pull back the veil on how that happens and what's really going on and that this is actually a cult brainwashing program. And the book has been very helpful to parents across at least the United States in that regard. It's being translated into Portuguese now, so we'll see what happens with that. Well, James, I appreciate you coming on. The issue of woke is, I think, the issue in whether society and cultures will survive or collapse, how you respond to them. So I appreciate you coming on and sharing your insights on those. Yeah, well, I'm very glad to talk to you, very glad to get to spread the word. I think the European context has an interesting opportunity. UK is a little bit harder. You've already taken in a lot. But Europe has actually a chance, the ID group being that we mentioned before, being a great bulwark to stand up to this particular, very toxic aspect that will, as you can see, and whether it's the UK or Australia or Canada or the United States, that will rip a society apart if you let it in. Yeah, we're seeing that happen. And you mentioned in Brussels, their issue is immigration. 30% Islamic. That clash between separate ideas of what culture should be and what freedom should be is why I would never want to live in Brussels. So, sorry. Yeah. Well, I'll tell you the truth just quickly that this whole, if we look at Marx as a theologian philosopher-ish kind of character, A lot of his model, he says he inverted it, but he derived it from Georg Hegel preceding him. And Hegel's belief, and Marx definitely adopted this part, was that history is this inexorable force, almost like a deity itself that has a trajectory and a purpose and a defined endpoint. And the key part is that it moves through conflict. And if you understand nothing else about everything we've just talked about, that the people that think this way, that have adopted this worldview, understand that they move history to a desired endpoint through generating conflict. You don't have to get into the granular details of how until later. You can understand many of these decisions. Why are you pulling in 30% of your population now is going to be a different religion with a different culture, and then you take tremendous care of them and inflame these tensions across the divide and cause these conflicts, because conflict moves history. In other words, truly their view, religiously speaking for Hegel explicitly, is that the conflict working itself out through history actually finishes or actualizes God. So God doesn't become God until the conflicts have all played out, so they have to generate the conflicts to create the finalized deity, at which point everything will be perfect at the so-called end of history with the people that live in it called the last man. Yeah. Well, we'll finish, James. The viewers and listeners @ConceptualJames on GETTR, Gab, Truth, Minds, wherever your preferred social media platform is, you'll find James on it, and of course newdiscourses.com. So thank you so much once again for your time, James. Yeah, thank you.

For the last few weeks, I've been coming to a clearer understanding of the motives behind seemingly inexplicable actions and agendas coming from the radical left. In other cases, they simply want us to completely abandon our faith or die.On today's episode of The JD Rucker Show, I dove into various ways they are attacking faith and trying to replace it with their earthly gods. Instead, I'll be applying a Biblical lens to the various events happening in our world.- A Show Loss: We are no longer working with our excellent producer, Disco. He's a pro and I highly recommend him to anyone who wants their show properly produced. I'm just not a good fit for a producer.- Discern TV: Our intention starting last October was to launch Discern.TV as a full-blown television network. During my hiatus I came to the conclusion that we should launch it now and move it forward over time rather than making it perfect before launch. There is plenty of discerning content out there already, so why wait until we have all our ducks in a row?- Sick as a Dog: God works in mysterious ways. I believe that the forced break due to an odd illness that's still circulating back and forth in my family may have been a blessing in disguise. Even with everything else that was happening, I still would have done my daily show if I hadn't been too sick to do so. Now, I understand that I needed to be sick to force me to take a step back and set other things in motion.- Whole Cows: We have launched a new product with our meat company! That's America in 2023, at least for those under the thumbs of the powers-that-be.I covered several stories that represent this shift in the American narrative, not to mention one that addresses the shift in the Canadian narrative. Here are the stories I covered:https://www.dailywire.com/news/press-secretary-for-gov-katie-hobbs-resigns-after-tweet-suggesting-transphobes-should-be-shothttps://headlineusa.com/covid-panic-stem-church-attendance/https://www.wnd.com/2023/03/christian-school-sues-state-sidestepping-major-ruling-religious-discrimination/https://thefederalist.com/2023/03/29/youngkin-signs-bill-banning-unequal-restrictions-on-virginia-places-of-worship-during-state-emergencies/https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/kentucky-overrides-governors-veto-transgender-care-restrictionshttps://www.dailysignal.com/2023/03/29/dc-library-displays-books-promoting-lgbt-agenda-ahead-christian-book-story-hour/https://www.dailysignal.com/2023/03/29/virginia-school-district-removes-14-sexually-explicit-books/https://www.lifenews.com/2023/03/29/democrats-walk-out-of-committee-meeting-after-hearing-how-dismemberment-abortions-tear-off-babies-limbs/https://rairfoundation.com/ottawa-school-board-endangering-young-girls-with-forced-trans-agenda-videos/https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2023/03/29/trans-anti-christian-video-game-released-months-school-attack/https://slaynews.com/news/world-bank-public-surrender-children-global-childcare-regime/https://alt-market.us/governance-by-artificial-intelligence-the-ultimate-unaccountable-tyranny/https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2023/03/29/1000-ai-experts-and-tech-leaders-call-for-temporary-halt-in-advanced-ai-development/

The various analyses of the current situation in Europe and the narrative-shaping news coming out of Ukraine have been mostly wrong. That's not new; we've been saying since February that the sanctions against Russia would backfire and do far more harm to Europe's and America's economies than to Russia's and we were called "Russian propagandists" as a result. Now, the same people who said the sanctions would tank Russia's economy and do little to harm western economies are saying Europe's economies ARE going to crash, but that it's somehow a good thing because it will put an end to The Great Reset. Once again, I'm forced to debunk these claims. The crashing of western economies is EXACTLY what the architects of The Great Reset want. You can't sell a reset when things are going well. You can't Build Back Better until a nation is effectively destroyed. This has been the case from the beginning and it's how the globalist elites plan on pushing us down their Neo-Marxist road. I detailed all of this on today's episode of The JD Rucker Show.Get precious metals now before the prices skyrocket: https://jdrucker.com/gold
“I don't like that man. I must get to know him better.” - Abraham LincolnWe live in a time where there are more people connected than ever before, and there are more people alive than ever before. Every day, each side of this Cold Civil War broadcasts nonstop agitprop against the other side. It's Orwell's two minutes of hate, except it's 24/7. The problem is that these are not two equal sides. 65% of Twitter users are Democrats. The platform increased by 21% after Trump was banned. The media listens to Twitter; the Democrats listen to the media. Together, they have built an insular feedback loop that is increasingly out of touch with most Americans outside of it. Because so many people are connected, we've seen a steady stream of uprisings against the government in recent years, not just in the United States but worldwide. Here in America, it began after the crash of 2008 with Occupy Wall Street. Then came the Tea Party. Then came the Capitol breaches in Wisconsin and Michigan. Then came Black Lives Matter. Then came the Democratic Primary protests against Hillary Clinton. Then came the largest protests in American history against a sitting president. Then came the Summer of 2020. Then came January 6th.Only one of these uprisings was treated as a dangerous threat against the government. It wouldn't be the first time an act of protest against a government handed absolute power to that government. Reichstag fire, burning of the Reichstag (parliament) building in Berlin on the night of February 27, 1933, a key event in the establishment of the Nazi dictatorship and widely believed to have been contrived by the newly formed Nazi government itself to turn public opinion against its opponents and to assume emergency powers. In the wake of January 6th, our government has gone to war against its own citizens, behaving as though they are the ones waging war. They seem to genuinely believe that the Trump movement is the second Confederacy and that they're trying to overthrow the government to turn it into a White Nationalist empire that brings back slavery. Liz Cheney compared this moment to the Civil War. They might want to dust off their history books and look at what happens when an insulated aristocracy fends off uprisings by the peasants. It doesn't go so well. They've called worried parents “domestic extremists.” They smeared anyone who showed up in DC on that day as “white supremacists.” They built a Green Zone-like fence around the Capitol and kept it there for months as an act of intimidation. Just a decade before, Democratic activists were pounding on the doors of their state Capitol in Wisconsin, shouting, “Whose house? Our house!” Those who control our government, mainstream media, and the big tech companies see those who would voted for or support Trump as a clear and present danger to their power. They seem to believe they at the very top can go to war with the majority, and it's somehow going to work out well for them. They seem unwilling to do the one thing they would need to do to stop Trump: offer the working class something better. It's odd to be living through something that has happened so many times before. Three little words keep otherwise reasonable people from all political spectrums from accurately reading this moment: Trump Derangement Syndrome. TDS mainly affects the ruling class. They just can't believe they swapped a classy, sophisticated Harvard Law graduate like Obama for a guy like Trump who is crass and offensive, has a toilet made out of gold, eats at McDonald's, and says whatever he wants to say. Trump is the living embodiment of everything the progressive aristocracy hates about America — a rich white man who doesn't follow the rules. What drives TDS is that Trump is mostly indestructible. He has no shame. After non-stop attacks by the media, two impeachments, the Mueller investigation, the Access Hollywood tape - who but Trump could have gotten COVID in his 70s, survived it without a vaccine, then went on to hold five rallies a day in the run-up to the 2020 election? No wonder they see him as an omnipotent force they have to rally the troops to defeat. But that indestructibility makes him the hero of the working class our government has all but abandoned. Trump is their battering ram. He's what Victor Davis Hanson called necessary “chemotherapy.” It gets the dirty job done because his support hasn't diminished, even after he's been kicked off Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube. If anything, he's become more popular. Why? Because the Left has become crazier. Surely this would have dawned on one of them by now, but it hasn't. Those who write brilliantly here on Substack to mount some kind of offense against the Neo-Marxist takeover of our government almost always stop at the Trump line. They just won't cross it, like the baseball players in Field of Dreams. They know if they cross that line their careers are over. They have even written pieces urging desperate Americans not to flee to Trump just because they hate the “woke.” As if the many out there struggling to get through the day are going to find their substacks, read them, and conclude - yeah, you're right. I guess I'll just suffer through the rest of my life because Orange Man Bad.For many Americans, Trump is their last best hope to fight for the fundamental principles of this country: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, not to mention the basics - law and order, freedom of speech, and love of country. These Americans can't afford Trump Derangement Syndrome. That is why Liz Cheney lost by 30 points in Wyoming. Any politician who takes on the Left will do very well with the American public. The problem is, most won't, not Liz Cheney or any of the Never Trump Republicans. And certainly, no Democrat.Instead, to defeat Trump, they have become a kind of Doomsday Cult. Every single day it's the end of the world. At least on Twitter, which fills up the mainstream media's gas tank for an all-day joyride of apocalyptic fear porn. No person with TDS can be trusted to truly assess the moment we're living through. Unless they take the broad view, their essays about this moment will fall short. TDS creates a blind spot for journalists, comedians, filmmakers, and everyone else. Says Barton Swaim writing in the Wall Street Journal:On the subject of Donald Trump, we each lament the inability of some otherwise serious people, on the left and the right, to talk about the 45th president in anything but the language of civilizational catastrophe. Why is Mr. Hankins, the author of a 700-page book on virtuous political leadership, not similarly undone by Mr. Trump? Because his profession has prepared him to take the long view.“I think of it as an historian,” he says. “Many people don't think deeply about what it would be like to live in a different time. They have no sense of comparison. Thinking long about history, you get a much broader view of human life. History is a road to sanity.”It's not good enough for Bill Maher to broadcast his hysteria over Trump while also criticizing what has become of the Left. He offers no solution, just leaves powerless Americans twisting in the wind. Sam Harris' recent appearance on Triggernomitry is an example of someone whose hysteria around Trump proves that there was nothing they would not do to keep Trump out of power. For all of their talk about Democracy Itself, they seem perfectly willing to subvert it where Trump is concerned. Ben Shapiro was quick to point out how Harris is the smoking gun that proves that our government, our media, and our DOJ will blur the ethical lines of a supposedly blind justice system, a supposedly objective media, and a supposedly democratic country. Harris attempted to explain himself but he only dug himself in deeper. That's because if you have TDS, it is impossible to escape the affliction unless you do the one thing required to end the madness: humanize Trump. It seemed funny at first, but with Trump polling so high and directly influencing so many wins in primaries, not to mention the unequivocal beat-down of Liz Cheney, they're getting ready for war. Against their own citizens. Who knew even the former director of the CIA was this fragile? Perhaps he ought to stop watching so much MSNBC and CNN until such time as he can get a grip on reality, not to mention what other countries must think of an administration that afraid of its own citizens. Rick Wilson and James Carville are supposed to be sharp political strategists, yet they continue to insist all Trump supporters are stupid or racist. From a political standpoint, that's just pure lunacy. They might be able to convince Zoomers and wealthy white women who spend too much time on social media that this is the biggest problem facing Americans, but the reality is that Americans have practical problems that must be addressed and not many people willing address them.Hysteria by Any Other Name Can those afflicted with TDS not see that most Americans have more pressing matters on their mind than existential angst? And not all those who vote for Trump do so because they have no other option now?Imagine, for instance, you are a young white male graduating high school in Ohio or Colorado. What kind of future will the Democrats offer you? Is there even a place for you in the Left's America? You've been told you are an oppressor and that you must not even try to succeed because that means you benefit from white supremacy. How does an 18-year-old process that?Conversely, if you are a young Black student graduating in Portland, Oregon, you'll be told your skin color oppresses you from birth. The only success you'll ever achieve is at the hands of programs designed around equity. You'll never get there on merit. The system is stacked against you.Imagine Coleman Hughes, one of the smartest thinkers out there, now being judged solely by the color of his skin rather than the content of his character. What do you imagine that does to his soul? He can wrestle with it, to contemplate why this happening and not allow it to impact him, but what about those who can't? What is the long game here anyway? To re-introduce oppression to keep the traditional hierarchies intact? Or imagine you are an immigrant family that escaped a caste system in India to pursue the American dream with your children that you've pushed towards accelerated programs so they can be doctors or rocket scientists and escape the fate of their birth. Now imagine they're being told that none of that matters anymore. Everyone must arrive at the same place because that is how equity works. So forget all about that “land of opportunity” thing. Now it's about the “land of equality of outcome,” or Marxism. Imagine you're a parent of five kids in a rural state or a big city. Imagine having to keep them home during lockdowns and school all five of them for over a year. Imagine how hard it was for just one of your kids to concentrate and learn, let alone all five. They can't catch up now. They fell too far behind.Or you're a truck driver or a dishwasher or a waitress, and the price of gas is eating a hole in your budget. You're drowning in credit card debt, with no real prospects to rise in your hometown because manufacturing has vanished. Then the government wants a big pat on the back for passing a bill called the “inflation reduction act” which has no hope of reducing inflation and is really a climate bill in disguise. Tax credits for electric cars? That's the answer?Or you're a white farmer who didn't see a dime of money from the government during COVID as your family's business swirled down the drain. The money was promised to Black farmers to make up for past injustices. But now even that money isn't coming.” What if you're a family in Chicago, and every weekend, gunfire whizzes past your window, with one murder after another, mere blocks from your home? What if you are too nervous about letting your kids out to play? What if you live in a border town and migrants are flooding in, and you're worried about your own family's limited resources? The high-minded journalists and Twitter users look down their noses at Trump's America First candidates, but they're missing the story. They should be asking why Democrats don't have such a motivated grassroots movement that is attracting voters rather than alienating them. Most people don't care if Trump says offensive things or he sends the government into paroxysms of hysteria. They care that he is fighting against the people they fear, and that he is fighting for the America they want. Four Words on a Red HatAny Democrat or establishment Republican will have to find a message better than Make America Great Again. You won't find many Americans out there right now who can argue that America has never been greater. We're missing the fundamentals we need to keep our experiment intact. At the top of that list is American exceptionalism. Even if it is a grand illusion, it is a necessary one. It might be the invisible thread, fragile though it may be, that ties each of us to the other. This country can't survive without it. We are the world's dreamers, an experiment in a people-run government. So why get in the people's way? They should be asking why can't they do what Trump does? Name one person in Washington who can stand there for upwards of two hours talking to Americans? Anyone? The pitch to the American people is going to have to be better than how Trump closes every single one of his speeches:And it will only get stronger with each passing day. And with the help of all of you here tonight and the millions of Patriots all across our land, we will make America powerful again. We will make America wealthy again. We will make America strong again. We will make America proud again. We will make America safe again. And we will make America great again. Please tell me, all of those who are committed to the idea that Trump is the greatest threat to Democracy the world has ever known, how you're going to top that. What can you offer Americans that can lift them up from their despair, that can promise them a better life, that can give them hope to face a new day? Because if all you've got is “Trump is bad” you're going to lose. Pushing an apocalyptic doomsday scenario every day will not solve the fundamental problem. The threat level rises daily because those in power are failing. Do they think Americans are too stupid to notice? As Victor Davis Hansen writes: The war between blue and red and mass versus elite is really grounded in the reality that those who feel they were the deserved winners of globalization and who are the sole enlightened on matters of social, economic, political, and military policy have no record of recent success, but a long litany of utter failure. They have become furious that the rest of the country sees through these naked emperors. Note Merrick Garland's sanctimonious defense of the supposed professionalism of the Justice Department and FBI hierarchies—while even as he pontificated, they were in the very process of leaking and planting sensational “nuclear secrets” narratives to an obsequious media to justify the indefensible political fishing expedition at a former president's home and current electoral rival to Merrick Garland's boss. The masses increasingly view the elites' money, their ZIP codes, their degrees and certificates, and their titles not just with indifference, but with the disdain they now have earned on their own merits. And that pushback has made millions of our worst and stupidest quite mad. Those who have abused their power against the people of this country by becoming authoritarians, waging war against our citizens, or allowing social media oligarchs to police thought and speech might want to remember that America is a country of the people, by the people and for the people. As Eisenhower once said, “I like to believe that people, in the long run, are going to do more to promote peace than our governments. Indeed, I think that people want peace so much that one of these days governments had better get out of the way and let them have it."Since we don't have leaders like Eisenhower, this one will have to be up to us. I'm still at 50/50 on him, but I very much hope I'm wrong about the potential that he's a Trojan Horse who will deliver propaganda and gaslighting for The Great Reset in a trickle that may influence conservatives and Christians into unwittingly embracing Neo-Marxist ideas. On today's episode of The Midnight Sentinel, I discussed the four most concerning aspects of his personality and history that should make us skeptical about his intentions. As an added bonus, I believe he needs to address his "training" as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and Klaus Schwab.
Secure physical gold and silver today: https://ourgoldguy.comA few things need to be stipulated before reading this article or listening to today's episode of The Midnight Sentinel. Call them filters for the sake of time because I don't want to spin my wheels trying to convince people there are conspiracies afoot. First, if you do not believe there is some sort of globalist elite cabal, or possible multiple versions independent of each other, that have as their primary goals the destruction of western society and capitalism as we know it in order to usher in The Great Reset, then this post isn't for you.Second, this New World Order is led by some of the world's most esteemed "philanthropists" and promoters of "humanitarian" causes such as Klaus Schwab, Bill Gates, George Soros, and Barack Obama. If you think that's all just a bunch of garbage, then this post isn't for you.Lastly, if you do not recognize that the financing and corporate pressure for The Great Reset stem from several asset management firms, corporate juggernauts, and non-government organizations, then this post is just going to be a waste of time. The likes of BlackRock, Vanguard, Disney, and the World Economic Forum are each playing their roles in ushering in a Neo-Marxist future that quashes national sovereignty, individual freedoms, and Biblical worldviews. If this all sounds like crazy tinfoil hat stuff to you, then there's a Fox News or CNN broadcast waiting for you on the television. With that out of the way, I want to focus this particular post on BlackRock and Vanguard. There are other asset management firms who are participating in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) policy building, but BlackRock and Vanguard have emerged as the primaries. Combined, they manage over $10 trillion. They have their hands in pretty much every crucial industry from energy, food production, real estate, communications, and transportation. In other words, they influence or outright control just about everything you need to live in today's world.People need to understand how much money they control. If you were to start at year 1 AD and spend half-a-million dollars every HOUR until today, you still would not have spent $10 trillion. That's how much money and power these two financial institutions control. It should be crystal clear to everyone that if they wanted to get away with an evil plan that requires vast resources to accomplish, they have access to everything they need.
Protect Your Health With Dr. Zev Zelenko's Nutraceuticals: https://zstacklife.com/freedomThe World Health Organization is in the process of consolidating global power under their "Pandemic Treaty" that is being pushed by most governments, including the United States. It would give unprecedented authority over sovereign nations to the WHO, allowing their "health" decrees to overrule national laws. It's being sold to the people (though few are paying attention) as a way to combat global pandemics by letting the "experts" determine unified policies. On the surface, this may actually sound like a good idea to leftists who are always looking to globalism as a solution to their problems. But the reality of the Pandemic Treaty is far worse than just giving way too much power to medically literate globalist bureaucrats. They want to include climate change as a component of "health." Doing so would mean the World Health Organization would essentially be an overarching world government with no checks or balances to combat tyranny.A decade ago, it would be hard to imagine any nation embracing such a thing. Before Joe Biden was installed into the White House, there is zero chance the United States would sign onto such an unambiguously bad idea. But we're in the middle of an artificial presidential regime that is controlled by the globalists themselves so America is actually leading the charge to make the Pandemic Treaty happen as quickly as possible. The convergence of Climate Change Hysteria and Pandemic Panic Theater is the key to giving the WHO — and more importantly the globalists pulling their strings — all the power they need to drive this planet into a Neo-Marxist oblivion known as The Great Reset. By itself, healthcare control is bad enough. Pandemics can come and go in today's world thanks to ease of travel, bioweapon development, and control over the data. The powers-that-be can turn the knobs up or down based on their goals at any particular time in any particular area of the world.Add in climate change as a component of "healthcare" that the World Health Organization controls and they can influence just about every policy by any government on the planet. They will be able to say anything is related to climate change and therefore falls under their purview. Economic policy will be driven by Green New Deal ideologies. Militaries, industrial development, and infrastructure can be attached to climate change and have the policies influenced accordingly. The Biden regime is already doing that on their own.On today's episode of The Midnight Sentinel, I dove into the topic plus got some help from Greg Reese at Infowars. This is far from a comprehensive analysis of the evils we face, but it's a good primer so we can explore it more thoroughly in future episodes.
The Southern Baptist Convention is in the process of seeking new leadership this June in Anaheim, CA. The current President of the SBC, Pastor Ed Litton, has decided to resign after a tumultuous year-long tenure in office. During this time, Pastor Ed Litton was shown to have been preaching messages from sermon scripting organization, Docent, who as well was providing the exact same left-leaning sermons to former SBC President J.D. Greear. For the past 5 years those of us that have stood against the spread of critical race theory and intersectionality have been maligned by the elite leadership of the SBC. Over those 5 years congregations who did not embrace the call to CRT(Race Marxism) were called racists, misogynists, and idolaters if they did not fully embrace the Neo-Marxist and politically leftward drift of the SBC. Stepping into the arena is a man who many at Sovereign Nations know well: Pastor Thomas Ascol from Grace Baptist Church in Cape Coral, FL. Pastor Ascol has shown resolve to stand against the infusion of critical social justice and intersectionality as these cancerous ideologies have been woven into the fabric of the church. Standing with Dr. Ascol is another man well known for his stand against the Social Justice Grievance Gospel: Dr. Voddie Baucham. Dr. Ascol and Dr. Baucham will not just have the might of the SBC Deep State against their bid to reform the SBC: they will also be up against the synchronized machine of those that are seeking to “reset” our world, our nation, and faith communities around the world. http://sovereignnations.com Support Sovereign Nations: paypal.me/sovnations patreon.com/sovnations Follow Sovereign Nations: sovereignnations.com/subscribe facebook.com/SovereignNations twitter.com/SovNations youtube.com/SovereignNations rumble.com/c/sovnations instagram.com/sovnations/ minds.com/sovnations?referrer=sovnations parler.com/profile/sovnations © 2022 Sovereign Nations. Back in 2017 when I was trying to convince Christian Pastors, theologians, ministry leaders and other religious figures that our theology proper and our concepts of epistemology were being deconstructed, many had a hard time with the concept that the church would be under attack from within. There was a problem of seeing the faces and personalities of men that were "highly spoken of" that were now deconstructing the Christian faith in a dialectical fashion. The deconstruction was occurring through the primary tools of seminaries, denominations, and parachurch ministries. And hence, this is why in the summer of 2018 I recorded a podcast that was titled "Evangelical Seminaries: Deconstruction Zones" (https://sovereignnations.com/2018/08/23/seminaries-deconstruction-zones/). And from the summer of 2018 the deconstruction only worsened. In many instances, creating division was the only concern - enough division that would divide the body of Christ. In 2018, the Gospel Coalition released the study, "Derrida, Foucault, and the Bible" (https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/course/derrida-foucault-bible/#course-introduction). The course description stated the following: “This course will help you see what Derrida and Foucault are really saying, and show you how you can bring their thought into conversation with the Bible. You will get an accessible introduction to the thought of two of the most influential French philosophers of recent decades, and you will learn methods for fostering meaningful engagement between philosophical ideas and biblical doctrine.” The Gospel Coalition serves as a warning that Neo-Marxist concepts such as deconstruction are being introduced to Christians by the very people who were responsible for guarding them against evil: the pastors, seminaries, and institutions that were created to guard against dangerous ideologies. -Michael O'Fallon http://sovereignnations.com Support Sovereign Nations: paypal.me/sovnations patreon.com/sovnations Follow Sovereign Nations: sovereignnations.com/subscribe facebook.com/SovereignNations twitter.com/SovNations youtube.com/SovereignNations rumble.com/c/sovnations instagram.com/sovnations/ minds.com/sovnations?referrer=sovnations parler.com/profile/sovnations © 2022 Sovereign Nations. MyPillow Promo Code: NOQEveryone who has been paying attention knows that people like Klaus Schwab, Bill Gates, and George Soros are in the middle of their evil plans to vaccinated every man, woman, and child on earth. This will help them usher in The Great Reset. We also know the World Economic Forum, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Open Society Foundation are powerful entities bent on fundamentally changing the way the world operates so the elites can rule over a docile and subjugated remnant once depopulation is achieved.Until recently, I believed that Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and the World Health Organization were simply mid-level pawns of the elites. I assumed they were part of the propaganda and disinformation wing of the cabal used by the globalists to keep us intellectually herded in the wrong direction. They were useful in distracting from crimes committed by the Chinese Communist Party by backing the bat-soup-theory, for example. What I've learned from Dr. Peter Breggin leads me to believe the WHO is actually much higher on the globalist food chain. On the latest episode of The Midnight Sentinel, Dr. Breggin revealed to me what he and his wife, Ginger, have discovered recently. Their book, COVID-19 and the Global Predators: We Are the Prey, had already been making waves with its bombshells about the powers-that-be. Now, they've discovered what I believe to be the next phase in the globalists' Neo-Marxist takeover. The World Health Organization is being positioned as the dominant governing body in the world. Those aren't Dr. Breggin's words. I've done some analysis of my own and it appears the manufactured healthcare emergency of Covid-19 is paving the way for consolidation of problems and solutions. It's the ultimate Hegelian Dialectic. You've seen them consolidating and conflating the issues on which they want us focused. Climate change, the pandemic, racism, inequity... these and so many other manufactured challenges are being framed to prompt the people to call for a one-world solution. The only way we can tackle climate change is globally, they say. Now, they're applying the same concept to all of the problems the globalist elites have created out of thin air.Who are they positioning to run this new one-world governing body? Tedros, the WHO, and those who are controlling them from the top of the globalist food chain are being propped up for total control. In the future I will go into a full-blown analysis of my claim, but first I want to focus on Dr. Breggin's ideas and the splendid interview he gave me.
Jim Paddock and his wife spent 20 years each on the mean streets of New York City, worked through the terrible day of 09/11/01 and the hellish aftermath, and later moved to Florida after retiring to escape the Neo-Marxist policies and heavy taxes that have destroyed their beloved State. Jim is a man's man and a cop's cop, and he puts his opinions forward with point-blank bluntness.Neither he nor his wife are any friend of gun controls laws, as they witnessed their effects upon the people of their city, and he pulls no punches in his disdain for politicians and bureaucrats who attempt to run the lives of productive citizens with laws that only impact and inhibit the lawful segment of society.Jim and Royce became friends when Jim began calling the Shooting Straight Radio Show when it aired live on WMMB and iHeartRADIO, and though they've occasionally butted heads (as strongly opinionated men often do), they've remained close friends. INTRODUCTION What is the meaning of history? Where is everything going? What is it all for? We live in a day of fear and uncertainty. Many are caught up in the fear of a future that is looking very bleak due to the effects of climate change; or a future living in a post-Covid world; or a future controlled by Neo-Marxist governments; or a future of constant digital surveillance. Many have a view of the future that is dark and hopeless. Every generation has lived with the harsh realities of living in a fallen world pressing in upon them. The threat of a nuclear world war 3; the threat of military regimes driven by godless philosophies taking over the world; the threat of AIDS. The Bible has always had a hope-filled view of the future. The Bible is able to explain why we suffer, why we die, why we do terrible things to each other. The Bible promises that the pain will one day come to an end with the coming of a promised Saviour from God. The Jews had set their hope on this day, the arrival of the Promised One. God's plan, as it turns out has various parts and is not simple. In the section before us, Luke 17:20-37, Jesus first addresses the Pharisees and their question about the kingdom pointing to how His presence among them is an indication that the kingdom of God, the day of salvation has arrived. But God's plan to make all things new doesn't happen all at once, we know that there is a first coming and a second coming of Christ. That Christ comes but then goes away and that He will come back again. Last week we spoke about how the OT prophecies often present like a mountain range... Read More Source
Why are we losing sixty to eighty percent of our youth to postmodern, Neo-Marxist ideologies by the time they come out of college? Why are absolute truths constantly being challenged in the marketplace of ideas in favor of relativistic and often self-contradictory definitions? In this current age, our nation is being split apart categorically through the use of Derridian categorization to ensure that disunity, as opposed to unity, rules our current national discourse. The most common tool of this categorization is the wild-eyed conspiracy theory known as critical race theory which was developed from interest convergence theory and infused with Neo-Marxist and postmodern elements to create one of the most dangerous ideologies in human history. The implementation of critical race theory hasn't just hit anglo and black communities with a shattering fist; it has also highly impacted the Asian communities that work hard, study hard and succeed in our American fabric of life. Michael O'Fallon explores this phenomenon in this morning's Public Occurrences Both Foreign and Domestic. Neo-Marxist Progressivism has taken root in politics, the media, education and popular culture. Wherever it takes root the suppression of free free speech is part of the fruit of the smelly orthodoxy. This podcast emphasizes the dangers of this progressivism that has highjacked classical liberalism.
On today's broadcast, Dr. Piper continues his critique of the book, Be the Bridge, and explains why it is little more than thinly veiled Neo-Marxism. He also confronts a recent post on the Wesleyan Church website that equates "conservative Christians" with sympathizers of the KKK. Spoiler alert: This is offensive nonsense! Are you a racist? Are you?Think about it. Does any form of racism exist in your life, anywhere? Have you experienced this disease, this hatred at work, in your personal or professional lives, have you? And, has racism of any kind been experienced by your children, or young children you know especially in school, in education, any kind, anywhere? Sadly, for America, for we the people, and for we the people of faith, the vast majority of whom are people of good will, fair minded and believe that all men and women are created equal, we are forced to deal with racism as never before. The concept, the disease now permeates our educational systems, tragically so. BLACK LIVES MATTER has now taken over our constitutional requirement that ALL LIVES MATTER. And the spokespersons for this new, radical Reverse Racism now begin to dominate so much of our culture, our government and most especially, our EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS. Many are aggressive, assertive, angry and make no effort for reconciliation, peace and harmony between the races. They are intent to capture the hearts and minds of the young, and consequently, in due course, change society that way. The young will be the ambassadors of the new culture, the new dogma, the new dictates of angry, Marxist blacks and WOKE WHITES who are determined to rid our society of its WHITENESS and all the evils inherent therein. If you are white, be ready for the attack, especially in the world of education.Marxists like Stalin and Lenin, and dictators like Hitler knew how critical it was to control education. Let me, said Hitler, train the minds of the young and they will be Nazis forever. Give me, said the Russian Marxists, a child at the age of four and that child will be communist – Marxist forever. And that is the goal of the revolutionaries, the radicals, the so called progressives (what a joke) for American education, for our young. The ultimate goal of so many of these radicals is to turn the young and in time, all of America to socialism and Marxism. It is naïve to think about what is happening in America in any other way. You and I, my fellow Americans, conservatives and Christians need to know, and stand up but more importantly: DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS NEW REVERSE RACISM!The once great state of Illinois has taken the lead among all of the states in indoctrinating public school students in what is termed: ULTRA–WOKENESS.This new and advanced, extreme form of WOKE is fully grounded in Neo–Marxist: CRITICAL RACE THEORY, which is spreading nationwide and faster by the day, so says Stanley Kurtz, a strong patriot working and writing for WATCH ILLINOIS. The aim of these new radical educators is to DECONSTRUCT the existing educational systems, priorities, beliefs and values and to reconstruct all things educational on a brand new model, a Neo–Marxist model to be sure. Much of our history, our American history will be rewritten or eliminated. For example, the 1619 PROJECT which claims that America was built on the backs of slave labor now replaces much of real and factual American history and is spreading nationwide. But this and much more is happening in the once great state of Illinois where, writer Kurtz states that in Illinois: “That is where woke has gone for broke, and America may soon pay the price.”These new educational theories, fostered in large measure by BLACK LIVES MATTER, itself founded in much of Marxism, is forcing third graders to “deconstruct their racial identities” and rank themselves by: POWER AND PRIVILEGE.In short, this now new ULTRA–WOKENESS goes farther and deeper into systemic racism, fosters this new CRITICAL RACE THEORY and in addition to SYSTEMIC RACISM, focuses in school on the concept of: MARGINALIZATIONwhere minorities, and especially Blacks, live on the edges of society and never are able to achieve integration or any part of the American Dream. They completely ignore the fact that some of the wealthiest and most influential people in our society are Black, especially in the world of athletics, entertainment and now ever growing at the core of American business itself. But they are determined, these educators radical, ultra–woke and even Marxist to: GO FOR BROKEespecially in the world of education. Writer Stanley Kurtz of WATCH ILLINOIS states in a most learned article that the state of Illinois is about to mandate that all its licensed teachers adopt: PROGRESSIVE POLITICAL ORTHODOXY and impart this new ideology to all of its students. And more and perhaps an even greater problem. The state of Illinois has laid the ground work for this assault on our beloved CONSTITUTION by enacting a civics law that forces teachers to discuss current political controversies in class and more, compels them to organize adventures in:ACTION CIVICS. That is, student protests, lobbying for gun control, demanding climate change, working for The Green New Deal and the end of fossil fuels and much more. These new educational requirements are, says Kurtz, transparent attempts to import leftist political activism and indoctrination into Illinois schools. When fully implemented, teachers in the Illinois public school system will be forced into the role of de facto leftist community organizers. If not, they will be subject to negative performance reviews, student, peer or parent complaints or even the possibility of the revocation of the license to teach! The state of Illinois, its Governor and educational leaders are determined to be THE LEADER in the new educational ULTRA–WOKEISM and to spread the Neo–Marxist cultural race theory, more so than any other state and they are well on the way. Kurtz says that these new Illinois educational standards, including the existing Illinois civic laws:“Formalize the conversion of K-12 schools into political indoctrination camps.”By the way, that includes advancing the extreme new rights for transgenders. If you have a daughter in school, or you know of a young girl loved by friend or family in school, you and she better be prepared for biological boys even men sharing bathrooms and locker rooms with her. What, I ask, my fellow Americans and fellow Christians is happening to our beloved country, WHAT? Know the truth and it alone will make you free. There is criticism by Christians that this kind of commentary does not belong on Christian radio stations. How wrong that is. This is precisely where it belongs. It is WE THE CHRISTIANS who must take the lead in standing up, condemning this immoral, even satanic ultra–wokeness, especially in education and as it affects the hearts and minds of our young. This new Marxist secularism is the avowed and hateful enemy of Christianity and all things religious. Any person of faith whether Christian, Jew, Muslim or other must stand up or watch religion be eviscerated by these radical, hateful WOKERS. I grieve for the state of New York and the Buffalo public schools and I grieve every bit as much for the once great state of Illinois and its great cities, especially the special Chicago as they change every day under the influence of this satanic, Marxist new education. Stop it, my fellow Americans, please stop it. Take over the school Boards, impeach the Governors. Support charter schools. Or private schools. Or most especially Christian schools but at the same time, fight to regain the independence, the objectivity and the constitutionality of our once great public schools. If we lose the public schools, we lose America forever!
There were two reasons for forming Black Lives Matter eight years ago. The public reason was to fight system racism in law enforcement that the founders believed caused both mass incarceration of young Black males as well as their deaths at the hands of cops. The private reason was to usher in a Neo-Marxist revolution […]
The movement known as the “Grievance Gospel” has spread into nearly every facet of evangelical Christianity: reformed, presbyterian, baptist, pentacostal, dispensational and nearly every other denominational affiliation within the pale of orthodoxy. Phil Johnson, the Executive Director of Grace to You, explores the alchemic roots of the social gospel movement and traces the collective concepts from Walter Rauschenbusch to today’s developed Neo-Marxist movement within the evangelical community. Anger divides! Take one look at our culture today and notice how anger is drawing battle lines, polarizing and tribalizing groups against each other. We see the sides in the culture wars as the left are pitted against the right. Critical theory has divided society up into minority groupings who now interpret all activity towards them in terms of microagressions. They play into a narrative of victimhood and oppression which must now be met with violent revolution. Cancel culture, trolling, and the mudslinging arena of social media are maelstroms of anger. This anger is nothing new, sinners have always been able to gladly and willingly fall into mob anger, prejudice, dissension and the willing destruction of others. What we see today is exacerbated by an educational tidal wave of leftist Neo-Marxist ideology, and media platforms who are sympathetic. The particular symptoms and issues may be different, but the root cause of sin causing anger is still the same. The same root of pride, self-righteousness, perceived slights, exaggerated responses, intimidation tactics, group think, newspeak, self-deceiving hearts, and a devil fanning the flame are always the same. Anger divides! Paul has been addressing the matter of putting off our old ways. The first thing he did was address the matter of our speech talking about how we are to put away all lying and speak truth with one another. Now Paul addresses the matter of the heart as he deals with anger, Eph. 4:26-27, ‘Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and give no opportunity to the devil.’ We will divide our look into these verses under three headings that follow the three negatives in the text, don’t sin, don’t wait, don’t give opportunity. The new progressivism is the same old lies of Marx, Lenin, and Mao whose revolutionary form promises to give “power to the people” but in fact transfers all power and control to top-down technocratic elites. In the Neo-Marxist push of the “woke” movement, the tired play of “three steps forward, two steps back” is utilized to gradually, over time, move the center further and further left to prevent societal push-back. Rod Martin, CEO of the Martin Organization, explores the current state of affairs and offers concrete solutions to overcoming our current ideological and theological crisis. In this episode we talk with Luke Reid and his experience having to face disciplinary hearings from the Diversity, Inclusion and Equity department because he challenged the Neo-Marxist orthodoxies within his previous company. Luke explains the destructive Neo-Marxist roots behind Black Lives Matter, and demonstrates how they don't actually care about black lives at all.
The gospel of the Christian evangelical movement has been long described as being by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, revealed by the scriptures alone to the glory of God alone. By grafting the Neo-Marxist concepts of what is known as "social justice" another description is necessary to describe what is known as the "woke church," for the purpose of righting oppression or grievances alone. Dr. Josh Buice explains that the grievance gospel turns the biblical gospel on its head and presents a list of demands before grace is distributed. Critical theory challenges cultural norms as being part of an oppressive power structure. It is irreconcilably anti-Christian and all Christians must oppose it in every form. It has taken over our university and K-12 education system.

Dr. Corsi interviews Stephen Coughlin, Esq.: attorney, decorated intelligence officer and noted specialist on Islamic law, ideology and related strategic information programs. Coughlin and Rich Higgins run Unconstrained Analytics https://unconstrainedanalytics.org/ a 501(c)3 dedicated to analysis of evidence unconstrained by preconceptions and biases. This includes thorough analysis of an enemy’s threat doctrine unconstrained by bias, preconceptions and influence operations coming from the same. In part one of a series, Coughlin discusses the report "Re-Remembering the Mis-Remembered Left: The Left’s Strategy and Tactics To Transform America" in which he and Higgins reveal, as indicated in the Executive Summary: "When associated with rising factional discord, the increased hostility from the Left resonates a violence that is becoming a clear and present danger. This paper will provide an estimate of the current situation that transcends well-travelled two-party political narratives. The objective is to provide a strategic understanding of the Left that baselines the current situation to enable directionality, predictability, and actionability. To that end, the estimate will use a political warfare analysis to reframe the political environment in order to provide timely anticipatory situational awareness in support of decision-making. National policy has come under the influence of constructed narratives that mainstream and conservative leaders neither understand nor control. Lacking situational awareness to recognize the operational nature of information campaigns directed against national policy, responses tend to be tactically limited and predictably reactive along scripted action-reaction cycles built into the operational sequencing of information campaigns controlled by the Left. These powerful but misunderstood narratives drive policy. At their core, these narratives are not American. Rather, they are dialectically driven Neo-Marxist memes that infuse mass line efforts operating at the cultural level intent on powering down into the political space. This furthers the Left’s political warfare effort to impose conformance resulting in the non-enforcement of laws by those tasked with their oversight and enforcement. As these narratives transition into prevailing cultural memes, non-enforcement becomes institutionalized and enforced by an opposition that increasingly comes under the control of those narratives. As such, for the Left, political organizations like Congress become vehicles to execute lines of effort in an execution matrix along which information campaigns are executed from outside and above." This episode opens with your Two Baked Hams recounting their days under the influence of alcohol and the parties where alcohol was communal though scarce. Unwittingly, the Hams’ opener segue into their discussion on Communism and, most interestingly, Neo-Marxism in Western society. In this episode your Two Baked Hams, whilst not necessarily fully endorsing nor condemning the aforementioned inflammatory political and cultural doctrines, wrestle with Neo-Marxist ideology and the recent calls for Communist reform in the West. This discourse was spurred on by the reports that the Black Lives Matter organization’s roots were affixed to Marxist theory and ideology. The Two Baked Hams affirm that the Black Lives Matter movement is important and, quite simply, is good for society; however, both Ham One and Ham Two recognized the problems with Marxist and Communist political, social, and cultural thought. Today's Song - XTC - Generals and MajorsLink to Live Stream Hello Listeners! Join Paul and Ben today for their Monday catch up on the antics of the weekend since the last live stream on Friday. There has been much criticism of the Government and we hear their take on this. The number of CV deaths over the weekend was extremely low, but why don't the media put a good news spin on anything? There is definitely great room for optimism! One could argue the government are devoid of strategy and plan to come out of lockdown. Will they convince us otherwise over the next few days and weeks? Is Boris making political decisions regarding Covid19 with a direct aim of not alienating the northern demographic of voters?“Neo Marxist behaviour from a government that should be acting in a democratic way.” As Paul put it. People and country are divided and we discuss in this episode points regarding furlough, unemployment, teachers, unions etc in their stance. We discuss the local protests at London that happened recently with people trying to protect their rights by going outside and the reaction from Police. Also the need to start back up with football for the mental health of the public, and real stories about hospitals and treatment to members of the public NOT relating to Covid19.Today's Song - XTC - Generals and MajorsLink to Live Stream

Informed by Neo-Marxist theories, this exhibition analyzes in a personal rather than cumulative manner the drastic changes in the concept of work observed in the past decade. Through a series of paintings based on the aesthetics of different massive communication systems and schematic representation of information, the artists scrutinize the effects on the creative work, knowledge-based economy as well as the constantly increasing gig economy. Even though the considerations proposed in this show are the intimate type, the pillow-talk kind of analysis, the same scrutiny could be extrapolated to a wider and more general statement.

We continue discussing the 2016 US Presidential Election, reviewing the landslide victory by Donald Trump and what this astonishing development means for both mainstream and alternative culture. We start by looking at the question of how this happened. From the FBI to Wikileaks to a bizarre revelation about occult rituals at the 11th hour; Clinton's campaign was dogged by scandal and controversy that vindicated Trump's anti-establishment platform on the final mile. And did the Democratic establishment further provoke the upset by publicly denigrating Trump supporters and brashly claiming victory before the polls had even opened? As the dust settles, we question as to whether this populist uprising at the ballot box was the intended result of a targeted leaks campaign by hidden forces. From the Oxford Dictionary: "Trump: A valuable resource that may be used, especially as a surprise, in order to gain an advantage." We discuss the mainstreaming of anti-establishment narratives in the lead up to the election, along with the future of alternative media in light of this event. Will platforms like Infowars depose the mainstream Neo-Con media, and will they cheerlead for Trump or hold him to his promises? The recent outreach of the Alt-Media into populist causes and the Trump campaign could not have been more opportune, as the outsiders now stand to become insiders. We also discuss the obvious divisions that this election has created between the left and the right, with angry Marxist youth running riot while being mocked by cocky Trump supporters. Is the establishment's prediction of a Neo-Marxist uprising finally coming to fruition, and has this growing demographic been given a real reason to up the ante? Topics discussed include: Election, 2016, Trump, Clinton, Obama, Democrat, Republican, Landslide, Politics, Milestones, CNN, New York Times, Polls, Ballot Box, Satisfaction, Mainstream Media, Symbolic Language, Tarot Card, Rigged, DNC, Wikileaks, Anonymous, FBI, Spirit Cooking, John Podesta, Occult Rituals, Revelation of The Method, Alt-Right, Basket of Deplorables, Infowars, Red Ice, Milo Yiannopoulos, Paul Joseph Watson, Fox News, Racism, Liberals, SJW's, College Campuses, Marxists, Conspiracy, Anti-Establishment, Populist Uprising, Provocation, Attention Seeking, Targeted Leaks Campaign, Throwing the Fight, Strategic Trends, Extremist Narratives, Conflict, Tough Talk, BLM, Outsiders become Insiders, Stagecraft, Theatrics, Branding, Marketing, Products, Pop Culture, Arts, Elections as PSYOPS, Emotion, Reality TV, Celebrity Culture, Ronald Reagan, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Alex Jones, Ted Nugent, Future Elections.
Lecture by Michael Alvarez. Neo-Marxist theories of the state emphasize the manners in which social class interests and power are reflected in public policy. Specifically, neo-Marxists call attention to the dependence of society and state actors upon the private capitalist business class: Citizens and state actors feel compelled to cultivate a friendly business environment as a precondition for advancing our own interests related to economic growth, employment, and income. The ongoing structural adjustment and austerity programs of the EU illustrate this very well. Michael Alvarez talk will focus on how such neo-Marxist analyses help us make sense of the EU approach, illustrating the relevance and usefulness of such approaches for understanding the political economy of contemporary Europe. Studentene ved Institutt for sammenliknende politikk har laget sin egen versjon av Professorens valg. Vi inviterer til begeistrede foredrag fra det sosialvitenskaplige feltet.

In the late '70s, Andy Gill and Jon Langford were schoolmates at the University of Leeds in England. That was where Andy co-founded a band called Gang of Four and Jon helped start a band called the Mekons. Those bands went on to great things, such as helping to invent post-punk — and becoming iconic bands in the process. The Mekons are possibly the longest-running and certainly the most beloved post-punk band. Their music has encompassed punk rock, country music and dub reggae, and they've released a long string of truly great albums like Fear and Whiskey (1985) and The Mekons Rock & Roll (1989). Their history, their music and their perseverance through thick and thin, not to mention their sense of humor, are showcased in the 2015 documentary Revenge of the Mekons. In the late '70s and early '80s, Gang of Four made some classic albums of life-changing, canonical Neo-Marxist post-punk, like Entertainment (1979), Solid Gold (1981) and Songs of the Free (1982). They've influenced everybody from Rage Against the Machine to St. Vincent. With Andy Gill as the sole remaining original member, they released an album in 2015 called What Happens Next. Here, these two smart musicians and old friends recall their common roots, trace the evolution of the concept of punk rock as it traveled north through England, and how it inspired their respective bands. Punk's chief message, according to these guys: "You can really go anywhere you want with it."
