In this episode, we're peeling back the layers on everything from the heavy stuff—like societal reactions to tragedy and the ethics of justice—to the lighter, yet just as complex, world of celebrity and streamer culture. It's a wide-ranging conversation that hits on why we feel what we feel when the world gets loud. What's Inside:The Serious Side: We navigate the emotional weight of witnessing public tragedy, the morality of self-defense, and how we handle grief and conflict in a world that often leans toward vigilante justice.Pop Culture deep-dive: We're celebrating Ariana Grande's incredible career evolution and tackling the real talk on body image, health, and the pressure of public authenticity. The Internet Under a Microscope: Ever wonder how reality TV evolved into the wild world of modern streaming? We're looking at influencer culture, the debates surrounding online personalities (and the internet's obsession with speculating on their private lives), and the legal messy-ness of recent viral dramas like the Reckless Ben/Lego controversy.Music & More: I'm sharing some thoughts on Drake's latest sounds, my personal mountaineering journey toward Everest, and a few life updates from our world.Whether we're talking about the "vibe" of public figures or the real-world consequences of online conflict, this episode is all about maintaining boundaries while staying tapped into the culture.Resources Mentioned:Deep Dives: Coffeezilla on the Lego fraud & Reckless Ben's latestWatch & Listen: Rob Anderson's Are You Afraid of the Nineties?, Young MA's Kween, and the latest from Ariana & Drake.Stay Connected:Email us: vivalalifemedia@gmail.comRead Ash Tonee's memoir, "Cowboy Boots and Broken Hearts: A Love Story Ballad" here: https://linktr.ee/ashtoneeListen to our Music Podcast, Crash Course Pod: https://www.spreaker.com/show/643054Check out our other podcasts, blog posts, LIVE! shows, music page and more! https://ashtontoneecasilla.wixsite.com/vivalalifepodcastFollow us on Instagram! https://www.instagram.com/vivalalifepodcast/Follow Ash Tonee's Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@JusPhucketFor more on the weird, wonderful, and complex world of digital society, make sure to check out the latest episodes of Crash Course Pod.

Dafür erinnern ihre Songs nun an The Smashing Pumpkins, LCD Soundsystem oder The Cure. Und das gleich doppelt: Robert Smith schaut auf «what's wrong with me» sogar persönlich vorbei. The Kids are Alright!

The guys from Lonely Island made a hilarious mockumentary 10 years ago called, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping. It didn't do great at the box office, but over the years people have figured out how funny it actually is. Adam Rupp was the one who introduced it to Rob, and they've watched it on the Home Free bus many times. He was great on this episode and hope you enjoy!

Was zeichnet Regisseur David Lowery aus? Sendungshinweis: FM4 Film Podcast, 01.06.2026, 0 Uhr

Now, 33 years after that track came out in the UK, Suzette's debut album is finally about to be released. Comprising faithfully re-recorded versions of the original six tracks that Suzette previously worked on with Mike at PWL and five brand-new songs, Suzette Charles is the long-awaited resolution to a thread that has been dangling for SAW fans since 1993. In this special episode, Suzette and Mike discuss how they reunited to collaborate musically again and how the album came together, including what it was like to recreate the original songs and the inspiration for the new tunes.Support the showSubscribe for bonus material at chartbeats.com.au/sawInstagram: @chartbeatsauThreads: @chartbeatsau, @matthew_denby360Bluesky: @chartbeatsau, @matthewdenby.bsky.socialFacebook: Chart Beats: A Journey Through PopEmail: chartbeats.au@gmail.com

Was uns Angst macht? Damit fängt alles an. Humoresque - Peter Tschaikowsky: Sinfonie Nr. 5, 2. Satz Andante cantabile (Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich; Paavo Järvi, Leitung) - Sebastian Mullaert & Joris Voorn: You're an Orchestra in the Cosmos - Johnny Cash: Hurt
Brian Fromm sits down with Adam Holtz from Plugged In — Focus on the Family's entertainment review ministry — to talk about Michael, the new Michael Jackson biopic covering his rise from Gary, Indiana to global superstardom. Is it a fair portrait, or does it sidestep the harder questions? Adam breaks down what the film gets right, why legal realities shaped what it couldn't show, and what it means for the value of the biopic genre altogether. Then, Adam pulls back the curtain on Plugged In's popular Theology Of series — deep-dive explorations of the spiritual worldviews embedded in major entertainment franchises like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and the latest entry: Doom. Yes, that Doom. It turns out a demon-shooting shooter from 1993 has more theological substance than you'd expect. Plus — what's coming this summer? Adam previews Spider-Man: Brand New Day and why it may be the movie to watch. Find Adam and the full Theology Of series at pluggedin.com.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
