SEASON 10 The Learning Leader Daily Leadership Tips and Discussions Thank you for listening. I'm Paul Grau Jr., the host of this show, and I'm excited about Season 10. This season will focus on “The Learning Leader” and/or as we refer to it here at The CLC Team, “The Expanding Leader. Every episode will primarily focus on the lifelong journey of expanding your knowledge of leadership, and I will try to give you a daily takeaway to put what you learn into action. My goal is that you learn something that you can take immediate action on, and see how powerful expanding your leadership can be. Today's episode kicks things off with a series called “Creating the Environment to Thrive.” I will begin by diving deeper than I ever have into Behavioral Analysis, and how the environment you create impacts the behavioral styles of yourself and everyone on your team. If you are unfamiliar with the DISC assessment and the four behavioral styles, I want to invite you to go back to Season 4, episodes 40 – 44 to learn more about each of the four behavioral styles; D, I, S, and C. I use the DISC assessment with every client and team I work with and have found it to be a real game-changer for the entire team. This week you will get a look into how powerful the DISC assessment is. Please listen daily (Mon – Friday) as Paul focuses on not only giving tips about how to be a great leader, but also a leader who is respected, a leader who people want to follow, a leader who can confidently navigate their way through both personal and professional challenges, a leader who is not afraid to share their faith while living it out, a leader who knows his/her purpose and lives to fulfill that purpose every day, and a leader who has no regrets! As always, I value your feedback and comments, especially your perspectives and opinions. Please share them with me by emailing them to Paul@CLCTeam.com Lots of new stuff to come... please consider subscribing, sharing with a friend, and giving me a review on whatever platform you listen on. Have a great day and Lead Well! “Run To Your Challenges!”

EPSIODE 95 | Bodyguard of Lies: The Ghost Army & Wartime Deception More than 100 million soldiers took part in WWII, but not all of them were fighting with guns. There was obviously a lot of administration and infrastructure to deal with, there were codebreakers and spies, and there were even some who engaged in secret deception to trick the enemy. This episode is not abouts ghosts, but rather the Ghost Army. No, not a battalion of unstoppable undead like Aragorn brings with him against the forces of Mordor, but a dirty tricks tactical deception unit the Allies deployed in Europe near the end of the war to fool Axis commanders. Because, as the saying goes, all's fair in love and war. This episode is partly a cynical attempt to lure in military history fans, but these are also really interesting stories. And you might consider them to have been, in fact, conspiracies, ones that were successful, by and large. Like what we do? Hiring former military personnel into corporate environments brings a multitude of benefits that extend beyond their specialized skill sets. Despite the preconceived notions about the lack of adaptability of ex-military individuals, they possess a wealth of qualities that can greatly enrich a corporate setting. By overcoming these stereotypes, organizations can tap into a reservoir of disciplined, goal-oriented, and resilient professionals who have demonstrated their ability to excel under pressure. Their extensive training in teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, and effective communication can catalyze innovation within the company and foster an environment of collaboration. Furthermore, integrating veterans into corporate culture not only breaks down misconceptions but also encourages diversity of thought, contributing to a well-rounded workforce capable of approaching challenges from various angles in an often untapped talent pool. Also, transitioning former military personnel into corporate roles doesn't only benefit the organizations themselves, but also has a positive impact on the community and society at large. Veterans often face challenges as they navigate the shift from military to civilian life, and providing them with meaningful employment can alleviate some of these difficulties. In this episode, we talk with Robyn Grable of Talents ASCEND, an AI skills-based talent sourcing program.//WHEN YOU'RE READY, HERE'S HOW WE CAN HELP YOU//TAKE THE FREE 5-MINUTE EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT ASSESSMENThttps://turningthecornerllc.com/hr/employee-engagement/assessment/DOWNLOAD A FREE SELF-ASSESSMENT:https://turningthecornerllc.com/free-assessment/SCHEDULE A CALL WITH A HUMAN RESOURCES CONSULTANThttps://turningthecornerllc.com/LISTEN TO OUR PODCASTApple Podcasts:https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/how-i-turned-the-corner/id1637875430Spotify:https://open.spotify.com/show/2S4sGuOSeXWXIKY7zMW1p5Google Podcast:https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkcy5wb2RldGl6ZS5jb20vcnNzL05lTUhWV0tSSQiHeart Radio:https://www.iheart.com/podcast/269-how-i-turned-the-corner-100448118/HIRE KENDRA AS A CONSULTANT OR KEYNOTE SPEAKERhttps://kendraprospero.com/__________Say hello on social:YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/TurningthecornerllcJobsFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/TurningTheCornerLLCInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/turning_the_corner/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/turning-the-corner/Resources Mentioned: Website: https://talentsascend.comLinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/robynjgrable

SPECIAL GUEST George Webb Follow George Webb on his Substack Follow George Webb on Twitter - Jeffrey Epstein - he was a CIA plant, his sole purpose was to record elite officials doing sexual things w/ young people to blackmail them after the fact. HEADLINE: Was Remdesivir A By Product Of HIV Research At Gilead? by George Webb Former Gilead CEO John C Martin A key part of my research into how military solutions for mRNA and Remdesivir have been thrust upon the American people has been to look at the wars and bioweapons programs these products were born from. I have looked extensively into the BioPreparat program of Ken Alibek of the Soviet Union and his close collaboration with Michael Callahan of UAB and Southern Research. The battlefield countermeasures for bioagents have a way of showing up as “entities of excitement” that usher in experimental technologies like mRNA vaccines. HEADLINE: Remdesivir Links Anthrax 9/11 Players To Corona 9/11 Gang by George Webb Remember Debra Birx = Scarf Vader Dr Fauci all of these folks go back to PEPFAR back in 1983. PEPFAR = President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief Celia Farber is writing about PEPFAR too so you two are the only ones writing about this stuff. President Ronald Reagan's Special Envoy to the Middle East, Rumsfeld met w/ Saddam Hussein during a visit to Baghdad in December 1983, during the Iran-Iraq War. George Webb wrote about Dr. Michael Callahan's extensive work in the Soviet Union bioweapons program in my book, “BioAgent UTMB”. Callahan was decommissioning bioweapons there, and then moving them to labs controlled by the DoD all around the old Soviet Union including Odessa, Ukraine. I have written that I believed Southern Research here in Birmingham, Alabama, was involved in the development of military countermeasures against this old Soviet arsenal. Miltary countermeasures, as we have seen recently, make very profitable billion-dollar cash cows for certain Gilead executives connected to the Department of Defense. Join America's Roundtable (https://americasrt.com/) Radio co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy in a conversation with Governor George Allen who served the Commonwealth of Virginia for more than 20 years, as governor, in both bodies of the United States Congress, and as a delegate holding Thomas Jefferson's seat in the Virginia General Assembly. As a former United States Senator and member of the House of Representatives, Governor George Allen shares his thoughts and ideas regarding the top priorities that the House Republican leadership ought to consider for the next two years. Governor Allen will also weigh in on the lessons learned from the 2022 midterm elections. The discussion will also highlight the importance of economic competitiveness among US states, and how America's citizens benefit from low taxes, less government regulation and greater economic liberty. Governor Allen also highlights serious concerns regarding the dangerous politicization of the United States Military, the low morale experienced within the ranks, and the urgency to rebuild the readiness of America's military. The discussion also spotlights the dangers on the U.S. southern border and the increased flow of drugs including fentanyl killing tens of thousands of young people across America. The conversation also brings to the forefront the Abraham Accords, and its importance for America, Israel and the Middle East. Brief Bio George F. Allen served the Commonwealth of Virginia for more than 20 years, as governor, in both bodies of the United States Congress, and as a delegate holding Thomas Jefferson's seat in the Virginia General Assembly. Sworn in as governor in 1994, George Allen brought sweeping reform that made Virginia a national model in economic development, public safety, education accountability, and creative government. As a self-described “Common Sense Jeffersonian Conservative,” Allen pushed through cutting edge reform with bipartisan support in a legislature held by the opposition. Elected to the United States Senate in 2000, George Allen continued to advocate policies to make America and Virginia a leader in innovation and technology. Senator Allen was unanimously elected a member of the Senate Republican Leadership as chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee in 2002. americasrt.com (https://americasrt.com/) https://ileaderssummit.org/ | https://jerusalemleaderssummit.com/ America's Roundtable on Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/americas-roundtable/id1518878472 Twitter: @georgeallenva @ileaderssummit @AmericasRT @NatashaSrdoc @JoelAnandUSA @supertalk America's Roundtable is co-hosted by Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy, co-founders of International Leaders Summit and the Jerusalem Leaders Summit. Join America's Roundtable (https://americasrt.com/) Radio co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy in a conversation with Steve H. Hanke, a top economist and leading monetarist. Dr. Steve Hanke provides an analysis of midterm elections, an update on America's economy, and raises concerns about the prolonged Ukraine - Russia conflict as the West's economic sanctions fail to bring an end to the war on the European continent. Dr. Hanke has been a strong critic of corruption in Ukraine and recent reports that he highlights raise red flags that US weapons are making its way to the black market. On America's Roundtable, principled leaders have called for greater oversight on how US taxpayer aid is being used in Ukraine and within NATO's Eastern European countries mired in corruption. Professor Hanke also discusses the Misery Index, and "why it is essential for policy-makers to have a read of their constituents' well-being, as viewed through the lens of economic statistics." Report: Hanke's 2021 Misery Index: Who's Miserable and Who's Happy? (https://www.nationalreview.com/2022/03/hankes-2021-misery-index-whos-miserable-and-whos-happy/) Hanke's Annual Misery Index (HAMI). What is it — and how should we conceive of man's well-being? The human condition lies on a vast spectrum between “miserable” and “happy.” In the economic sphere, misery tends to flow from high inflation, steep borrowing costs, and unemployment. The surefire way to mitigate that misery is through economic growth. Comparing countries' metrics can tell us a lot about where in the world people are sad or happy. HAMI gives us the answers. My version of the misery index is the sum of the year-end unemployment, inflation, and bank-lending rates, minus the annual percentage change in real GDP per capita. Higher readings on the first three elements are “bad” and make people more miserable. These “bads” are offset by a “good” (real GDP per capita growth), which is subtracted from the sum of the bads to yield a HAMI score. Bio: Dr. Steve H. Hanke Steve H. Hanke is a professor of applied economics and founder and codirector of the Institute for Applied Economics, Global Health, and the Study of Business Enterprise at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. A devastating explosion rips through a munitions plant in a small New Jersey town. And the American public is left with the chilling fact that the federal government had been warned about such an attack almost a year prior. The tip had come from a private spy ring operating in Los Angeles that was intent on doing what law enforcement had largely failed to do. Cold War cultural historian, Michael Losasso, and I talk about the impact the Department of Defense and the military had on Hollywood, specifically as it relates to war-time advances made in media and film technology during WWII and later in the Cold War. We focus primarily on two movies in particular, The Endless Summer and Dr. Strangelove, two monumental films from the 1960s that were significant in their own right. Professor Losasso also talks about his doctoral dissertation that he's titling, “The Big War on the Small Screen: Television, World War II, and the Cold War.” His research looks at how media production in the United States served to further fuel East/West Cold War anxieties between the US and Soviet Union. What Branch Should I Join?Deciding to join the military is a big decision on its own, but it isn’t where the decisions end. There are six branches of the military that you can serve in. The Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Navy, Marine Corps, and Space Force. Each branch has its own culture and mission and making sure to pick the one that fits you best is an important step when joining the military. You also need to consider if you would like to serve on active duty, in the National Guard or Reserves. There is no one right answer. The best branch for you needs to meet your goals and aspirations and not just be focused on the “perks” of one branch over another. Depending on why you are joining and what you are looking for will help you determine what branch and way you should serve in the military. This chapter covers the culture and mission of each branch of the military and the primary differences between serving on active duty, in the National Guard, or Reserves“To me, it comes down to culture. When you find your fit, you feel it in your bones. In your soul. You feel it in your bones. In your soul. You feel energized by it in a way that is hard to describe – and in a way that the other simply don’t. Nothing wrong with the others of course – but you know when it’s right.” – Heather PriceIn this weeks interview we covered these topics:Know Your Why You Want to Join Read my why here.Know what you want to doKnow what you want to do after you leave the military behindResources provided by veterans (contains affiliate links)Read The Mask of War by Carl BuilderLearn about Michigan State University Combat Veteran Programhttps://www.facebook.com/msusocialwork/videos/1400497770116201/https://socialwork.msu.edu/Programs/MSW/Certificates/Combat-VeteransRead Women of the Miltary to hear more stories of military womenListen to Women Veteran PodcastWomen of the Military PodcastFreedom Sisters PodcastFemale Veteran PodcastAnswer these questionsWhat is your objective of service? Are there location / geographic considerations?Service, tradition, adventure, training, college assistance, etc? What are you interested in and capable (qualified) of doing?Does the service offer the career choice you want to do?Are you looking at a career in the military or a shorter option? Are you looking to enlist or take a path to be an officer?Mentioned in this Episode:A Girls Guide to the MilitaryNeed a mentor: Email me airmantomom@gmail.comRelated Episodes7 Things I Wish I Would Have Known Before Joining the MilitaryGoing through MEPS - Episode 34Joining the Army While Still In High School - Episode 43

Successful inclusion efforts ensure that all groups, regardless of demographic differences, are acknowledged, welcomed, and respected in the workplace. Veterans represent a large community of often untapped talent. According to a recent Miltary.com article, women veterans are more likely to struggle with their identity when they transition to civilian service than men.* Finding success after service can be filled with challenges and struggles. Employers can work to create a community that supports success after service for transitioning veterans. In the words of U.S. Veteran and Senator Tammy Duckworth, “We owe it to all our veterans to make sure they have a chance to achieve the American Dream, just like the rest of us.”
