Shift your mindset with a free 20-minute Biz Breakthru Call. Are you busy… but still stuck? In this episode of Money Magnet Mama, I'm breaking down the sneakiest form of procrastination I see in online businesses- the kind that looks productive on the surface but keeps you from actually selling, launching, and moving forward. If you've been planning, learning, tweaking, consuming, or “getting ready” for far too long, this conversation will hit home. Inside this episode, we talk about: The three most common procrastination patterns for entrepreneurs Why over-planning, content creation, and “learning mode” can keep you stuck The difference between being strategically stuck vs energetically stuck How white space creates clarity, alignment, and creative breakthroughs Why selling first builds confidence faster than perfecting your strategy How to stop strategy hopping and simplify your next steps The mindset shift that helps you move through resistance instead of avoiding it This episode is a reminder that there's nothing wrong with you, and that momentum doesn't come from doing more, but from doing the right things in the right order. Listen in and let this be the nudge you need to move forward with clarity and courage. xo, Masha

In this solo episode, Travis Chappell breaks down one of the most powerful (and uncomfortable) productivity principles: the work you're avoiding is usually the work that matters most. From “eating the frog” to having hard conversations in business and marriage, Travis explains why procrastination is just delayed pain—and how choosing short-term discomfort can dramatically increase your results, momentum, and income. If you've been busy but not productive, this episode is your reset button. On this episode we talk about: The “eat the frog” productivity framework Why avoidance is valuable information Procrastination as pain postponed Choosing controlled discomfort over uncontrolled future crisis Hard conversations in business (firing, performance plans, standards) Why unresolved small issues turn into long-term resentment Training yourself to move toward discomfort instead of away from it Top 3 Takeaways: Avoidance Is a Signal. If you're dodging a task, conversation, or decision, it likely needs your attention. Either do it—or delegate it—but don't ignore it. Procrastination Multiplies Pain. You can experience a short burst of focused discomfort now, or a constant drip of stress and anxiety later. The total pain is higher when you delay. Growth Lives in Discomfort.Whether it's sales calls, health habits, or tough conversations, the breakthrough is almost always on the other side of the thing you're resisting. Notable Quotes: “What you are avoiding is probably what you need to be doing.” “Procrastination is just pain postponed.” “You cannot avoid the struggle—only choose which struggle you're going to face.” “Your biggest leap forward is usually hiding behind the work that you're avoiding.” Tomorrow morning: Identify the one task you've been avoiding. Do it first—before email, before busywork, before anything else. Build momentum from there. This doesn't just apply to tasks. It applies to sales calls, strategic decisions, team management, health habits, and difficult conversations. Stop optimizing for comfort. Start optimizing for courage. Your next breakthrough is probably sitting at the top of your to-do list. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Is your house at its tidiest when you've got a deadline coming up? Do you have a list of jobs that you really need to do, but you really don't want to start doing? Procrastination can mean that we spend more time putting off a job than we'd ever actually spend completing it. Understanding why we do it might help us to understand how to stop doing it. There are different reasons why people procrastinate. Some people avoid tasks if they can relate them to traumatic situations in their past. Sometimes we don't do certain tasks because we're swamped with other things. If people are unhappy about being asked to do something, they might put it off to feel like they are regaining some control. Another common reason for procrastination is just the worry that doing something will be unpleasant or that we will not be able to do it well enough to satisfy ourselves. This last kind of procrastination can be a result of our mindset. People with a perfectionist mindset are likely to have a very rigid idea of what success in a task looks like. This is coupled with being anxious not to fail at that task. Psychology lecturer Annemiecke Apergis-Schoute points out that procrastination can be the result of a struggle between our brain's reward and threat systems. If the threat of failure or discomfort is greater than the potential reward from doing the task, we're likely to avoid it. Cognitive flexibility could help us to avoid procrastinating. If we change the way that we think about a task, it can be easier to start working on it. If we can challenge our expectation of what succeeding could be, and how uncomfortable working on the task will be, it can seem less threatening. Breaking down tasks into small components also makes them less daunting as well as providing a feeling of achievement when each of these steps is completed. It can also be useful to consider what triggers procrastination for you. Having a better understanding of this can help you get things done.

Procrastination is universal, even the most disciplined people do it. But here's the part that really stings: procrastination doesn't just delay tasks… it steals time away from the things you actually care about. In today's lesson, we're reframing procrastination for what it really is: choosing short-term emotional relief over long-term progress. Do you ever sit down to do something important and suddenly find yourself reorganising drawers, researching holidays, or staring at a blank screen while silently asking, “Why can't I just do this?”In this episode of the Building Resilience Podcast, Leah Davidson reframes procrastination as a nervous system response, not a motivation problem or personal failing. Rather than being about laziness or lack of discipline, procrastination often shows up when your nervous system senses emotional or social risk and moves into protection.Through a nervous system informed lens, Leah explores why pushing harder rarely works and what actually helps instead. You will learn how awareness, regulation, and small safe steps can create real momentum without shame or pressure. We'll explore:Procrastination is not a character flaw, it is a nervous system responseWhen a task feels emotionally risky, the body will choose delay over actionDiscipline cannot override a nervous system that does not feel safePerfectionism is often protection, not a lack of care or effortOverthinking is a way the nervous system tries to create certaintyAvoidance is information, not failureRegulation creates momentum more effectively than pressureSmall starts teach the nervous system that beginning can be safeLINKS AND RESOURCES:COMMUNITYMIDLIFE NERVOUS SYSTEM REWIRE COMMUNITY

EVEN MORE about this episode! What happens when a hardcore skeptic dies—and comes back changed forever? In this unforgettable episode of the Ask Julie Ryan Show, Julie Ryan sits down with Dr. Lotte Valentin, whose dramatic near-death experience shattered her lifelong disbelief in anything spiritual. After hemorrhaging following childbirth, Lotte—an atheist programmer from Sweden—found herself floating above her body in an emergency room, immersed in unconditional love, surrounded by angels, and shown a luminous grid revealing that everything is connected. With no spiritual framework to explain what happened, Lotte was terrified to share her experience, fearing she'd be dismissed or institutionalized. But the spirit world didn't stop at revelation—it gave her a mission. She was told to go to medical school, write books, and bring healing messages to others. At age 54, she followed that guidance exactly, completing her prerequisites from scratch and entering medical school, ultimately merging Western medicine with medical intuition, ancestral healing, and mediumship. This powerful conversation explores near-death experiences, divine timing, and why science and spirituality aren't opposites—but reflections of the same truth. Filled with validation, courage, and hope, this episode is a must-watch for anyone who's ever wondered whether there's more to life than what we can see.Guest Biography:Dr. Lotte Valentin is an N.M.D., author, evidential psychic and medical medium, ancestral healer, and internationally recognized keynote speaker known for bridging science and soul. Often described as an oracle, she moves effortlessly through the realms of mystic, prophet, and seer. Her award-winning book Med School After Menopause: The Journey of My Soul earned 1st place in Spiritual Leadership from the Living Now Book Awards for its powerful message of transformation, healing, and spirituality. Following two near-death out-of-body experiences that awakened her clairvoyant, clairaudient, and clairsentient abilities, Dr. Lotte was guided to pursue medicine—completing her prerequisites and entering medical school at age 54—while also serving as an evidential medium and teacher. She has created Ancestral Healing Journeys in collaboration with Hemi-Sync, teaches with leading spiritual organizations worldwide, and frequently speaks on near-death experiences and medical intuition. We cannot have a real conversation about consistency without naming the trap so many of us live inside — procrastination. In this episode, we're exposing the patterns and beliefs that make it so easy to delay the actions that move us forward. We've become experts at convincing ourselves that later is better, that tomorrow makes more sense, and that it's okay to wait. But what if procrastination isn't a neutral delay? What if it's the most expensive invisible cost in your life? What if it's the very thing keeping you from the joy, pride, and results that you deeply want? We'll unpack: Why procrastination has become your default operating system How putting something off often feels like a smart move — even when it's a dangerous one The real-time cost of pushing things to tomorrow (spoiler: it adds difficulty, friction, and emotional weight) The simple mindset shift that will help you make decisions that support your future instead of sabotage it Whether you're constantly saying "I'll start tomorrow" or just feel overwhelmed by everything you keep postponing, this episode will give you a new lens — and a new strategy — to break the pattern.
Dr. K moves past complicated neuroscientific explanations to explain that procrastination is actually a manipulation by a primitive mind. He describes the mind as a "feral animal" that exists outside of your true self, constantly generating "false procrastination" to keep you from doing the work that matters. What to expect in this episode: • Your Mind is Not You: Learning to see the mind as activity rather than an object, allowing you to create the distance necessary to stop listening to its excuses. • The Boredom Scam: How the mind uses feelings of boredom and the thought that an action is "not enough" to trick you into returning to effortless activities like scrolling. • Training through Futility: Why doing "foolish" or "futile" actions—like meditation or raw-dogging existence—is the only way to prove to your mind that you are actually in chargeHG Coaching : https://bit.ly/46bIkdo Dr. K's Guide to Mental Health: https://bit.ly/44z3SztHG Memberships : https://bit.ly/3TNoMVf Products & Services : https://bit.ly/44kz7x0 HealthyGamer.GG: https://bit.ly/3ZOopgQ Learn more about your ad choices. A powerful story of unconditional love, biblical wisdom, and transformational parenting on The VIBE Podcast with Kelly Cardenas. In this emotional and motivational episode, Kelly shares how his mother's simple words — “I'd love you even with poop on your face” — carried life-changing wisdom rooted in Proverbs 31.Growing up, I gave my mom plenty of reasons to quit on me.My name on the board with checkmarks.Detention.Coming home late. Not doing homework.Bad grades.Procrastination.Stupid financial decisions.Horrible music.Silly brushes with the law.And some truly bad judgment. And through it all… she loved me anyway. We used to laugh every time she said she'd love me even with poop on my face. But only now — as a parent — do I realize the profound strength packed inside that one sentence. That wasn't just humor. That was wisdom. That was perseverance. That was unconditional love in action. My mom wasn't beating me with the Bible or preaching sermons at me.She was living Proverbs 31 every single day.She modeled:Confidence.Hard work.Wisdom.Prudence.Honor.Ingenuity.Perseverance.Beauty of character. And because of her character, our family was built on respect, resilience, and reverence. The true power of a mother isn't just what she says — it's what she endures with love and grace. She didn't just promise she'd love me through my mess…She proved it.This episode of The VIBE Podcast is for anyone who's ever felt imperfect but deeply loved — and for parents who are building foundations that will last generations.

Procrastination isn't laziness — it's a signal calling you back to stillness, clarity, and aligned action. In this episode of Tao Dialogues, we explore the stillness before action — a Taoist approach to ending procrastination and perfectionism without force, pressure, or self-criticism.Rather than pushing yourself forward, this teaching invites you inward — to the sacred pause where Shen (inner wisdom and clarity) aligns and true action is born. We uncover how procrastination often arises from the Inner Child's need for safety, not a lack of discipline, and how wu wei (effortless effort) restores natural momentum. You'll learn how to:Stop fighting procrastination and listen to its messageRelease perfectionism without lowering your standardsUse stillness as preparation, not avoidanceTake aligned action that flows from truth, not fearRead the blog post that inspired this episode: https://davidjameslees.substack.com/p/shifting-the-storyOur Tao Dialogues are powerful yet gentle teachings about authenticity, spirituality and finding emotional balance and flow in everyday life. Let's unpack a truth most people don't want to admit: the thing you're avoiding is action. When you leave inaction untouched, it does not sit quietly. It grows. It drains you. And it quietly reshapes your life through mental drag, stress, and procrastination. Unaddressed conversations don't sit still. Ignored decisions don't pause. Delayed action doesn't disappear. It compounds. It leaks energy, creates anxiety, and slowly trains your nervous system to stay stuck. In this episode, Troy introduces the Bison Theory, a counterintuitive truth rooted in real behavior: while most animals run away from storms and stay trapped in them longer, bison run straight into the storm, shortening how long they suffer. This episode isn't about hype or grit for grit's sake. It's about why facing the thing you're avoiding is the fastest path to transformation, and how movement, not certainty, is what breaks the loop. If you've felt the weight of indecision, the drag of unfinished business, or the mental exhaustion of too many open loops, this conversation will feel uncomfortably familiar in the best way. This Episode Covers:Why avoidance is active, not neutral, and how it quietly compounds stressHow “direction determines duration” when it comes to pain and changeWhy facing the storm creates momentum even before clarity shows upHow anticipation of pain often hurts longer than the pain itselfThe real reason action restores energy faster than motivation ever willHow to stop negotiating with reality and start reclaiming agencyWhy transformation begins the moment you turn toward what you've been running fromBeyond The Episode Gems:Subscribe To My New Weekly LinkedIn Newsletter: Strategize. Most people do not procrastinate because they are lazy or unmotivated. They procrastinate because something feels heavy beneath the surface. In this episode of the Dr. CK Bray show, Dr. Bray unpacks why putting things off is often a form of self-protection rather than self-sabotage. He explores what is really happening in the brain when you avoid starting even the things that matter most and why more discipline is rarely the answer. If you have ever wondered why you know what to do but still struggle to begin this conversation is for you. This episode presents a more compassionate and practical approach to understanding procrastination. You will learn how emotional weight, uncertainty, and self-pressure can quietly stall progress and discover what actually helps the brain feel safe enough to move forward. Instead of fighting yourself or waiting for motivation, you will learn simple ways to lower friction, reduce overwhelm, and start where you are. Procrastination is not a flaw to fix. It is a signal to listen to. And when you do, progress often follows more naturally than you expect. Alice Boyes, HBR May-June 2022 Quotes by Dr. Bray "Coaching is received either as support or as condescension, and perception determines which one it becomes." "People don't resist improvement—they resist being treated as incapable." "When you design systems that respect intelligence, people rise to the occasion."
