Wir begegnen kleinen Waldelfen, grünen Männern, flötenspielenden Schelmen und tanzenden Druiden, lustwandelnden Pärchen, hochwohlgeborenen Reiterinnen und reumütigen Liebhabern. Wird Pint den Becher der Wunder an Kain weiterreichen oder die Beltane-Blume ganz allein pflücken? Wird Kain dem Flötenspieler auf den Ley-Linien folgen oder doch dem Klang der Sonnenwend-Glocken? Kommt an unser mitternächtliches Feuer, rückt den Sessel dichter an den Kamin und lauscht uns, wenn wir in den Rätseln der Vergangeheit uralte Weisheiten aufdecken.

1985 haben Mark Knopfler und seine Dire Straits das Album "Brothers In Arms" rausgebracht. Bis heute gilt das Album als eines der erfolgreichsten der Rockgeschichte. Mit Songs wie "Money For Nothing", "Walk Of Life", "Your Latest Trick" und natürlich dem Titelsong "Brothers In Arms" sind auf dem Album auch einige der größten Hits der Dire Straits vertreten. Für die Band rund um Gitarrenlegende Mark Knopfler war es schon das fünfte Studioalbum der Dire Straits. Und mit mehr als 30 Millionen verkauften Einheiten und Diamantauszeichnungen in Deutschland, Großbritannien und den USA zählt "Brothers in Arms" auch zu den kommerziell erfolgreichsten Rockalben der Geschichte. "Brothers In Arms" von den Dire Straits ist aber nicht nur das erfolgreichste Album von Mark Knopfler und Co., für SWR1 Musikredakteur Niels Berkefeld ist es auch das perfekteste Album der Band, mit Ausnahme eines Songs, erklärt er im Podcast. Aber "Brothers In Arms" ist nicht nur vom Songwriting ein absoluter Meilenstein, sondern auch von der Seite der technischen Produktion her. Damals war das Medium CD und digitale Musikproduktion noch sehr neu und die Dire Straits haben auf dieser Platte alle neuen Möglichkeiten der CD-Produktion ausgenutzt und das hatte kaum eine Gruppe und kaum eine Künstlerin oder ein Künstler vorher so gemacht. Einer der bekanntesten Hits des Albums ist natürlich "Money For Nothing" auf dem auch The-Police-Sänger Sting zu hören ist – ein absoluter Zufall. Sting war nämlich eigentlich nur in Montserrat gewesen, um die Dire Straits im Studio zu besuchen und mit ihnen zu Abendessen zu gehen. Die Inspiration zum Song "Money For Nothing" entstand in einem Elektrogeschäft als Mark Knopfler einige Arbeiter vor einer Fernsehwand beobachtet, wie sie sich darüber ärgern, dass sie so schwer schuften müssen und die Rockstars, die auf dem Musiksender MTV zu sehen sind, reich werden und die hübschen Mädchen bekommen – frei übersetzt: Die bekommen Kohle fürs Nichtstun! In den 80er-Jahren kam man nicht an diesem Album vorbei. Dennis and the group are in the Grammy Hall of Fame for co-writing “School's Out.” The original Alice Cooper group have sold millions of singles and albums and were on the cover of Forbes for having the largest grossing tour in 1973 over Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones. The original Alice Cooper group is in the Guinness Book of World Records for largest indoor audience of an estimated 120,000 to 148,000 in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1974. The Billion Dollar Babies album reached number 1 in America and Britain, and the group are recognized as the innovators of theatrical rock shows, which included giant balloons, hangings, snakes and spidery eye makeup.Dennis currently records and tours with Blue Coupe featuring Joe and Albert Bouchard of Blue Öyster Cult fame and singers Tish and Snooky of Manic Panic.The original Alice Cooper group recorded 3 songs on Alice's Welcome 2 My Nightmare album, and re-recorded “School's Out” with Brian Johnson, Joe Perry and Johnny Depp for the Hollywood Vampires album. Span, die legendäre Berner Mundartrock-Band, feiert ihr 50-jähriges Bestehen mit dem neuen Album «Auesiauem». Seit ihrer Gründung im Jahr 1972 als Grünspan haben sie die Schweizer Musikszene massgeblich geprägt und sind bis heute aktiv. Und nein, es gibt nicht nur «Louenesee»! Span hiessen ursprünglich Grünspan und wurden 1972 gegründet. 1975 änderte der Bandname zu Span – und auch 50 Jahre später existiert die Band weiterhin unter diesem Namen. Natürlich sind die Zeiten des alten Bauernhauses in der Hämlismatt bei Arni längst vorbei. Und vermutlich dient auch kein Kartoffelkeller mehr als Übungsraum. Fast ebenso klar ist, dass es auch Mitgliederwechsel gab, immerhin sind aus der Urformation noch zwei übriggeblieben: Sänger/Gitarrist Schöre Müller und Sänger/Bassist Christoph Kohli. Und natürlich singen sie auch heute noch auf Mundart, den Titel «älteste Mundartband der Schweiz» haben sie sich dabei redlich verdient. Und nun feiert die Band 2025 ihr 50-jähriges Jubiläum, mit Tour und dem neuen gelungenen Album «Auesiauem», ein Album, das man streamen kann – aber auch «altmodisch» physisch auf CD und Vinyl erwerben kann. 12 Jahre nach ihrem letzten Studioalbum hätte es etwas länger ausfallen dürfen als gerade mal 31 Minuten, doch gut zu wissen: Die Band ist sich und ihrem Stil treu geblieben und scheint kein Ablaufdatum zu kennen. Schöre Müller und Christoph Kohli sind live zu Gast im Swissmade bei Moderatorin Marietta Tomaschett. Für alle Alt-Hippies ist Einschalten ein Muss, für alle Fans sowieso.

Fast zehn Jahre nach ihrem letzten Studioalbum melden sich die Lovebugs mit «Heartbreak City» zurück. Es klingt, als wären sie nie weggewesen. Das liegt vor allem daran, dass Musik für Sänger Adrian Sieber und seine Band nicht nur Freude bringt, sondern ihr Lebenselixier ist. Von der Teilnahme an einem Bandcontest bis zum neuen Album der Lovebugs sind über 30 Jahre vergangen. Songs wie «Coffee And Cigarettes», «Bitter Moon» oder auch «Music Makes My World Go Round» waren zwar keine Hits, fühlen sich aber bis heute durchaus so an. Es gab erfolgreiche Tourneen, erfolgreiche Nummer-1-Alben und es regnete Gold- und Platinauszeichnungen für zehntausende verkaufte Alben. Doch nach dem Album «Land Ho!» (2016), spätestens aber nach dem Live-Album «At The Plaza» (2018), stockte der Zug. Nicht alle Weggefährten der Band hatten den gleichen Drang weiterzumachen wie Sänger Adrian Sieber. Offiziell hat sich die Band zwar nie aufgelöst, wie er immer wieder betonte, doch die Jahre zogen ins Land und er veröffentlichte Musik ohne seine Lovebugs. Doch im Oktober 2024 meldete sich die Band in neuer Besetzung und mit dem neuen Song «Coraline» eindrucksvoll zurück – gerade so, als wären sie nie weggewesen. Mit «Heartbreak City» folgt nun ein Studio-Album, 25 Jahre nach ihrem ersten Album, das in den Charts landete. Wer jetzt ein verstaubtes Album erwartet, sieht sich getäuscht. Die Lovebugs klingen nach Lovebugs, mit grossem Wiedererkennungswert, aber jederzeit frisch und dynamisch. 11 neue Songs für alle Lovebugs-Fans und solche, die es noch werden wollen. "Moondance" ist das dritte Soloalbum des nordirischen Musikers Van Morrison. Die Platte wurde 1999 sogar in die Grammy Hall of Fame aufgenommen. Nachdem das Vorgängeralbum komplett gefloppt war, brauchte Van Morrison bei "Moondance" eine echte Veränderung – und die hat es gegeben. Bei "Moondance" stand Van Morrison nicht nur hinter dem Mikrofon, sondern er hat auch die gegenüberliegende Position eingenommen. Er saß auch als Produzent auf der anderen Seite der Scheibe hinter den Reglern. Für ihn war das eine echte Premiere. Ein Produzentendebüt, das sich wirklich gelohnt hat. "Moondance" hat es in mehrere Charts geschafft und auch in den Bestenlisten vom Rolling Stone oder dem Time-Magazine ist die Platte seit Jahren mit dabei. Für "Moondance" hatte Van Morrison vieles anders gemacht als bei der Vorgängerplatte "Astral Weeks". Das Album war zu verkopft und kam mit dem Mix aus Folk und Jazz nicht wirklich gut bei den Fans an. Ganz im Gegenteil zu "Moondance". Die Platte ist vollgepackt mit einem dynamischen, aber verständlichen Mix aus Soul, Jazz, Pop und Folk. Das dritte Studioalbum "Moondance" von Van Morrison ist vor unglaublichen 55 Jahren herausgekommen und es zeigt einen Musiker, der unterschiedliche Genres sehr harmonisch miteinander verbindet. Einige Kritiker bezeichnen "Blood On The Tracks" als das beste Album von Bob Dylan. Aber was genau macht diese Platte eigentlich aus und was macht sie zum Meilenstein? In der legendären Top-500-Liste des Rolling-Stone-Magazins hat Dylans Album "Blood On The Tracks" es sogar in die Top Ten geschafft. Genauer gesagt auf Platz neun der 500 besten Alben aller Zeiten. Musikalisch kehrt Bob Dylan mit dieser Platte zurück zur Folkmusik und auch zurück zur Akustikgitarre. In der Zeit vor dem Album hat Bob Dylan zu einem neuen, sehr inspirierenden Hobby gefunden. Er hat einen Malkurs belegt, der ihn sehr stark beeinflusst hat, erzählt SWR1 Musikredakteur Benjamin Brendebach im Podcast: "Für Dylan wurde diese Malerei zu einem Schicksalshobby, denn es hat auch sein Denken und seine Sicht auf die Welt extrem verändert." Mit Mitte 30 hatte Bob Dylan schon unglaublich viel erlebt. "Blood On The Tracks" war schon sein 15. Studioalbum. Er hatte mit seiner Ehefrau Sarah schon vier Kinder bekommen, hatte einen schweren Motorradunfall überlebt, David Bowie hatte einen Song über ihn geschrieben und er war eng verbunden mit den Beatles. Zum einen mit John Lennon und zum anderen hatte er auch schon mit George Harrison sein "Concert for Bangladesh" gespielt und noch vieles mehr. Und nach seiner rockigen Phase und seiner Pause holt Bob Dylan mit diesem Album die Folkgitarre wieder hervor und schaut auf sein Leben zurück, erklärt SWR1 Musikredakteurin Katharina Heinius. Was dieses Album so besonders macht, ist, dass es "ein Dylan Album ist und ein Dylan Album bleibt", so beschreibt es SWR1 Musikredakteur Benjamin Brendebach. Hinter dem im wahrsten Wortsinne mitnehmenden Namen Avec verbirgt sich die österreichische Singer-Songwriterin Miriam Hufnagl. Nächste Woche veröffentlicht sie ihr viertes Album, auf dem sie klanglich wie thematisch die bittersüßen und zärtlichen Momente des Lebens nahtlos miteinander verbindet und einen intimen Einblick in ihr Seelenleben bietet. Einen ersten Eindruck, wie das klingt, erhalten wir heute Abend bei ihrem Besuch im studioeins. Vielen dürfte noch ihr Song "Granny" im Ohr sein, mit dem sie 2017 auf der Vierfach-LP "20 Jahre radioeins" vertreten war und sich damit in Gesellschaft von Größen wie Nick Cave, Agnes Obel, The xx oder auch Maggie Rogers wiederfand. Mit "Avec", dem ersten Studioalbum mit neuen Songs seit fünf Jahren, legt Hufnagl nun ein überaus persönliches Werk vor, über das sie selbst sagt, es sei "wie ein Rettungsanker für mich, ich habe jeden dieser Songs bis ins kleinste Detail gelebt. Sie bedeuten mir so viel, es ist wie ein/e bester Freund/beste Freundin, der/die weiß, was du durchgemacht hast und dir in den dunkelsten Zeiten zur Seite steht." Im Februar wird Avec das Album auf ihrer Deutschland-Tour vorstellen, die am 8.2. auch im "Peter Edel Station" macht. Den ein oder anderen Song wird sie bereits heute Abend in besonderer intim-reduzierter Fassung präsentieren, und zuvor im studioeins-Interviewsessel Platz nehmen, um alles Wissenswerte über die dahinterstehende "tiefgründige Erkundung menschlicher Emotionen, von der Euphorie der Liebe bis hin zu den Tiefen des Herzschmerzes" zu erzählen.

Die Rolling Stones zählen unbestritten zu den größten Rockbands aller Zeiten. Mit ihrem Album "Let It Bleed" haben die Stones 1969 bereits ihr achtes Studioalbum veröffentlicht. Mehr als 20 Alben umfasst das Gesamtwerk der Rolling Stones inzwischen. Ihr erstes Album "The Rolling Stones" hat die Band 1964 veröffentlicht, vor 60 Jahren. Und direkt mit dem ersten Album gelang der Band auch der Durchbruch in Deutschland, den USA und ihrer Heimat Großbritannien. Und fast jedes Mal schaffte die Band es in diesen Ländern in die Top Ten der Albumcharts. Die Geschichte der Rolling Stones ist zweifelsohne eine Erfolgsgeschichte. Kein Wunder, dass wir in unserem Meilensteine Podcast schon öfter über die Stones gesprochen haben. Mit dabei waren unter anderem schon die Alben "Beggars Banquet", "Exile On Main Street" oder auch "Sticky Fingers". Heute sprechen wir über ihr achtes Studioalbum "Let It Bleed" aus dem Jahr 1969, auf dem auch der Song "Gimme Shelter" ist. Den Song spielt die Band auch heutzutage – nach 55 Jahren – immer noch live. Innerhalb der Band hat sich vor und während der Arbeit an "Let It Bleed" einiges verändert. Vor allem auch für Bandgründer Brian Jones. Er galt bis dahin immer als eine Art Führungsperson der Gruppe. Aber dadurch, dass Mick Jagger und Keith Richards immer intensiver zusammengearbeitet haben und mehr Songs schrieben, die erfolgreich geworden sind, haben die beiden auch immer mehr die Führungsrolle in der Band übernommen. "Er hat sich in der Zeit auch immer mehr von den Stones distanziert, auch räumlich. [...] Er hat sich ein Anwesen gekauft, das ist heute eineinhalb Autostunden entfernt von London. [...] Das war Land, da war nix", erzählt Katharina Heinius im Meilensteine Podcast. Darüber hinaus wurde die Drogen- und Alkoholsucht von Brian Jones immer problematischer und er selbst distanzierte sich immer weiter von der Band, sodass die ihn während der Produktion rausgeschmissen und durch Gitarrist Mick Taylor ersetzt hat. Nur einen Monat später ist Brian Jones dann auf seinem Anwesen gestorben. Für die Stones hat sich vor allem auch wegen der tragischen Geschichte um ihren Bandgründer Brian Jones und den neuen Mann im Bunde, Mick Taylor, einiges verändert. Mit "Led It Bleed" geht also ein Geschichtsabschnitt aus der langen und erfolgreichen Geschichte der Rolling Stones zu Ende, erzählt Thomas Nettelmann im Meilensteine Podcast. Klar, wir können das schon «Neo-»Soul nennen, was der britische Songwriter auch auf seinem vierten Studioalbum wieder macht. Aber natürlich steckt da auch viel «Retro» drin. Trotzdem werden sämtliche Nostalgiefallen elegant übersprungen. Mit seiner letzten Platte «Kiwanuka» (2019) gewann der Musiker aus London den begehrten «Mercury Prize» (zu den Mitnominierten gehörten u. a. Stormzy, Charli XCX, Dua Lipa oder das Sports Team), also gab es eigentlich auch kaum Gründe, für die vierte Platte all zu viele «Changes» vornehmen zu müssen. Erneut stand das gleiche Team hinter dem Studiopult (Inflo von Sault und Brian Burton alias Danger Mouse), nur an der Bassgitarre gab's eine kleine Änderung: Koryphäe Pino Palladino (D'Angelo, The Who, Eric Clapton) spielte die wunderbar warmen Basslinien des Albums ein. Und ja, eigentlich erscheint diese Platte erst *diesen* Freitag – weil sie kurzfristig um eine Woche verschoben wurde.
