Join Liss and Kristi with guest Duane Scott Cerny, the Chicago-based antique dealer, author, and storyteller who tells tales from the eclectic roadshow of his life. Duane shares the hilarious chapters from his books "Selling Dead People's Things" and "Vintage Confidential". His anecdotes include his early days selling Playboy magazines from his school locker, to the quirks of his (partly) adult store business.Duane tells of finding vintage treasures, and how he wooed the rival dealers in Chicago with gifts of wine. He shares his insights into mid-century architecture and collectibles, and we hear about Kristi's love for a John Lautner house she renovated in Oklahoma City. We chat about the shifting landscape of collectibles, influenced by platforms like eBay and TV shows such as Antique Roadshow, and reflect on how changing times have reshaped the appreciation for vintage finds, and led to a resurgence of mid-century design. No one wanted to come back and watch the finale of The Muppets Mayhem with us. That doesn't mean anything, does it? It does. It means we lose our way into Two And A Half Men, The Fast And The Furious, directing extras, Morphine (the band), Snake Eyes (the G.I. Joe) and... Ernest P. Worrell? It also means this show is over and maybe that's not as much of a relief as you and all of our guests thought it would be.

Hour 3: Is Rob Saleh the right coach for the Jets? Joe said Mike White is going to burn the Jets at least once this year. When they golfed, Joe told Saleh ‘you have to win now'. We talked about reasonable expectations for the Jets this year. A division title is required by Joe. He also said they have to be 4-2 through their first six games. C-Lo returns for an update but first a caller compares the afternoon show to ‘Two and a Half Men'. The Yankees lost again and are 1-3 since Aaron Judge returned. There are a lot of teams rumored to be in for a Justin Verlander trade. In the final segment of the hour, Stugotz from the Dan Le Batard Show will co-host with Gio on Thursday and Friday. Joe does not know how to ‘Google' something. Joe does not need an iPhone either. His wife likes watching videos about otters on her iPhone.
Hour 1: Joe Benigno is in for Boomer today so it's Gio & Joe B. Joe is in his Mets gear this morning and said they better not trade Justin Verlander or Uncle Steve is punting on next season. Joe doesn't like that the Mets don't retaliate when their players get hit and he wants someone to plunk Ronald Acuna when they play the Braves later this season. C-Lo is in for Jerry and starts with the Yankees loss to the Rays and the armpit injury that Domingo German was suffering from which prevented him from starting. He did, however, come into the game in relief of Jhony Brito who gave up 4 HRs in 4 innings. The Mets traded Mark Canha to the Brewers. At Jets camp, one of the players has ‘69' jokes. Yesterday Anthony Gallo called Aaron Rodgers a ‘bum' and it got a lot of play on social media. Joe said the Jets can absolutely not lose in week 1 at home to the Bills. In the final segment of the hour, we took a call from a guy who missed the Jets season because he was in prison. Hour 2: The Yankees are going through a tough time right now. Anthony Rizzo finally got a hit last night after striking out 5 times the night before. We also took calls from Mets fans now that they traded Max Scherzer, David Robertson and Mark Canha. C-Lo returns for an update but first Peter Schwartz posted a pic wearing the Joe Klecko jersey that Boomer got him. Joe is going out to the Hall of Fame induction of Joe Klecko. Joe is also playing golf with Fireman Ed. Aaron Judge keeps getting walked since coming back from his injury. Domingo German was scratched due to an armpit injury but ended up coming in after Jhony Brito. Joe talks about the black cats that he has after a few cat related Yankees stories. Mark Canha was traded to the Brewers. Aaron Rodgers thinks you should sit with different people at lunch. In the final segment of the hour, Paul Reubens, who played Pee Wee Herman, passed away at 70. Gio said ‘Big Adventure' was a huge movie in his childhood. Joe said the age of 42 is the best age to be. In 1982 a guy punched Joe through a car window and connected to his face. Hour 4: There are multiple teams calling the Mets about Justin Verlander as the trade deadline looms today. Joe said if the Mets do that, they are ‘punting' on next year. Joe also thinks Steve Cohen has to give Ohtani the best offer. A caller wants to know if we saw the guy who wants to be a collie. A caller is having a baby at the end of August and he wants to know if he should be able to go to the Jets/Bills game on September 11th. C-Lo returns for an update and said there are multiple teams interested in Justin Verlander. In the final segment of the show, Joe doesn't like golfing with people who know who he is.
Egal, ob GAME OF THRONES, SOPRANOS oder BREAKING BAD - überall gibt's Nachwuchs. YVETTE NICOLE BROWN BIO Yvette landed her first television role - - a two-episode gig playing Toni Childs' sister "Sherri" on GIRLFRIENDS - - by chance. Casting director Robi Reed called her in to audition from a post card submission. Yvette had no credits and no agent. That stroke of serendipity at the beginning of her career, taught Yvette that you never know how God is going to move in your life and career. Booking a series regular role two months later, on the first pilot she auditioned for further proved the point. That show, ABC's THE BIG HOUSE -- which starred Kevin Hart, only lasted a few episodes; but that experience proved to be a blessing as well. Through it, Yvette learned the transient nature of the business and to always "travel light".Yvette has since appeared (and often recurred) on shows as varied as ENTOURAGE, PSYCH, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, HOT IN CLEVELAND, MELISSA & JOEY, THE OFFICE, THE SOUL MAN, THAT'S SO RAVEN, HALF & HALF, SLEEPER CELL, HOUSE, TWO AND A HALF MEN, THAT 70'S SHOW and BOSTON LEGAL - - where she got to perform "Big, Blonde & Beautiful" from Hairspray. It was a bit of a homecoming because Yvette is no stranger to singing. She was managed by Michael Bivins (of New Edition and BBD) and signed to Motown Records when she was just a teen.Younger viewers may know Yvette from her recurring role on Nickelodeon's DRAKE & JOSH, where she played movie theater manager, Helen Ophelia Dubois. Landing that role was another serendipitous experience. The role of Helen was to be a one-time role; one that Yvette auditioned for while on hiatus from THE BIG HOUSE. That one-time role turned into four years of employment and introduced Yvette and her silliness to the best group of fans in the world...kids! The cast of DRAKE & JOSH reunited in 2008 for the holiday movie, "Merry Christmas: Drake & Josh," a film that broke Nickelodeon viewership records when it was seen by over 8 million viewers the night it debuted. It has since gone on to become an annual holiday favorite.Yvette has also had a successful career in commercials. She's appeared in over 40 national spots. You may have seen her in ads for BIG LOTS, PINE SOL, CITIBANK, FIBER ONE YOGURT, DAIRY QUEEN, HAMBURGER HELPER, ARROWHEAD WATER, HOME DEPOT, COMCAST, LG and DiGIORNO'S PIZZA to name a few. Yvette was also immortalized in puppet form as "Mrs. Lewis, from downstairs" in a series of NIKE spots alongside puppet versions of Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. She is also making a name for herself in the voiceover world. She can currently be heard as "Luna" on Disney's ELENA OF AVALOR, "Principal Waller" on DC's SUPERHERO GIRLS and the dual role of "Portia" and "Zenith" on Crackle's SUPERMANSION where she works alongside Bryan Cranston and Keegan Michael Key. She also voiced the character "Cookie" for three seasons as one of the HUB Network's POUND PUPPIES. Listen closely and you can also hear Yvette on WABBIT, FAMILY GUY, PUPPY DOG PALS, THE REGULAR SHOW and DOC McSTUFFINS just to name a few and recently made her feature animated debut voicing "Ladybug" in the film "Yellowbird"Most recently, Yvette has made the rounds of numerous game shows and talk shows including THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT, THE CHEW, THE VIEW, THE REAL, HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT, TO TELL THE TRUTH, CELEBRITY FAMILY FEUD, PYRAMID, MATCH GAME, CELEB NAME GAME and her absolute favorite, THE TALKING DEAD.In addition to her commercial and television work--most recently as a series regular on CBS' THE ODD COUPLE, Yvette also has a burgeoning film career. She made her film debut in the romantic comedy, "Little Black Book," working alongside Brittany Murphy and Oscar winners, Holly Hunter and Kathy Bates. Her next film, Michael Bay's futuristic thriller, "The Island" put her on the set with Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson. Supporting roles in other films including "Dreamgirls" and "The Kid and I," - - where she first met and worked with one of her childhood heroes, Henry Winkler - - soon followed. She was in the box office hit, "Tropic Thunder" (directed by Ben Stiller) where she worked with Matthew McConaughey; as well as the family film, "Meet Dave" where she realized a childhood dream by sharing the screen with Eddie Murphy.Other film roles include the family film, "Hotel for Dogs" starring Emma Roberts and Don Cheadle, the romantic comedy, "The Ugly Truth" starring Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler, the indie hit, "(500) Days of Summer" starring Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt; and the action thriller, "Repo Men" where she shared the screen with Jude Law and Oscar winner, Forest Whitaker. Most recently, those with a keen eye, could see Yvette peeking thru loads of prosthetic makeup as one of the "three fates" in the Percy Jackson sequel, "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters".Yvette also appeared in the hit BET mini-series THE NEW EDITION STORY and hosted SyFy's game show, COSPLAY MELEE, Yvette also co-starred in the recent ABC sitcom THE MAYOR and starred as Shirley Bennett for five seasons on the NBC hit comedy series COMMUNITY.Yvette currently resides in L.A. Today on the show we have returning champion RB Botto. For many, the holy grail of television has become Netflix. It's a titan in the industry, and with over 200 million subscribers worldwide, no one can put out content quite like them. Just look at the recent hit show BRIDGERTON, which has already been seen by a massive 80 million households (!!) since its release. If you're a writer or creator, getting your series onto Netflix's platform can spell success in a big way. But first there's the matter of getting your series in front of them and pitching it effectively. It should be a comfort to know that you're not the only one who wants your series on Netflix. Netflix wants that too! Netflix execs are constantly on the lookout for exciting new voices and new series to fill their slate. Yet it takes more than just a good series or a good pilot script to get on Netflix's radar; you need to be able to communicate it well and pitch it in a way that will get their team excited. This certainly takes some work, but it's absolutely achievable. If you're interested in getting your show on Netflix, it's time to learn directly from the source what it will take to make that happen. In an effort to reach more writers and find more content, Netflix has joined forces with Stage 32 to present a FREE and invaluable workshop on what it is that they're looking for in new shows and how you can best pitch your series to their executives. In Stage 32's continued effort to help level the playing field for content creators worldwide, we felt it's important that we help you get tools you need to be able to make sure that you can pitch effectively.Kicking off the workshop will be Stage 32 CEO, Richard "RB" Botto (@rbwalksintoabar), and hosting this presentation will be Stage 32's Managing Director Amanda Toney with Netflix's Director of Creative Talent Investment and Development for International Originals Christopher Mack. Christopher was previously Senior Vice President of Scripted Content for Stage 13, overseeing all of the brand's original scripted series and development slates across multiple genres, including Emmy nominated Netflix series' SPECIAL and IT'S BRUNO. Before Stage 13, Chris headed the Warner Bros. Workshop, the writing and directing program for professionals looking to start and/or further their careers in television. Over a period of 10 years in this role, Chris curated a roster of close to 100 writers and 50 directors representing the breakthrough emerging voices working on high-profile television shows today. In addition to these responsibilities, Chris has covered hit shows such as TWO AND A HALF MEN and SMALLVILLE for the Current Programs department.Prior to joining Warner Bros., Chris spent seven years writing on various one-hour dramas including ER, THE PRACTICE and THE NEW TWILIGHT ZONE. After graduating from Loyola Law School, Chris got his start in television at NBC Studios as an associate and he quickly rose to becoming an executive. During his time at the newly created NBC Studios, he oversaw a varied list of shows including: THE FRESH PRINCE OF BEL AIR and IN THE HOUSE, among others. In this exclusive Stage 32 workshop, Christopher will delve into what exactly makes a television pitch work at Netflix. He'll discuss the essentials you'll need to catch Netflix's eye and will zero in on how to write an effective pitch document. He'll pose questions you be able to answer and communicate for your series and give you ideas on how best to communicate your show's overview, world, tone, and characters. Christopher will then discuss how season summaries should be built and give you ideas on how to think about and present potential episodes. Finally, you will have the invaluable opportunity to ask Christopher your own questions. You will leave this presentation with the understanding of how to structure and present your series, not in theory, but directly from the source.Enjoy my epic conversation with RB Botto.
Good morning good afternoon good evening wherever you maybe and welcome to an Extra interview of Final Cut. Today I'm joined by a lady who was in TBBT, Mad Men, 2 and a Half Men. But there is one question that always needs asking when you talk about Big Bang Theory. Did her character date or chat up one of the lads? Ladies and gentlemen, to answer that question. Rachel Cannon
This week sees us celebrating the work of Oscar-winning-action-B-movie-mega-actor Nic Cage by completely avoiding talking about his films when we discuss the Top 5 Cages. Dan's lost his notes, Sidey's lost his mind and no one is 100% sure exactly what a "cage" is so it could be an interesting discussion. In THE UNBEARABLE WEIGHT OF MASSIVE TALENT Nic Cage plays Nick Cage, tormented by visions of his younger more successful self after losing out on his dream role as a Boston tough guy in director David Gordon Green's latest movie. With his career floundering and rapidly running out of money, Cage has no choice but to accept a paid celebrity guest appearance at millionaire superfan Javi's (Pedro Pascal) secluded Mallorcan villa however when CIA agents Vivian and Martin inform him that Javi is secretly the leader of an arms dealing cartel, Nick is thrust into a dangerous game of cat and mouse with his enigmatic benefactor, whilst simultaneously trying to repair relationships with his daughter and ex-wife. Two of the guys really liked it so expect a more balanced review than these notes might suggest because I was bitterly disappointed by this. Setting up such an absurd attention seeking premise, with all the meta that the plot which features movies-within-movies and trope aware characters implies, then using it to portray one of Hollywood's known eccentrics as a bland, neurotic, self-obsessed everyman in a limp buddy comedy with an uninspired action movie style third act is a missed opportunity of such staggering opportunities it makes my soul weep. Fundamentally misunderstanding what makes Nic Cage interesting as an actor and with dull commentary masquerading as foreshadowing, this is like if ADAPTATION was written by the guys who did TWO AND A HALF MEN. There's a way better version of this movie which lives in my head and in it we get a much more interesting portrayal of the man himself, references to BAD LIEUTENANT: PORT OF CALL NEW-ORLEANS, VAMPIRE'S KISS and DEADFALL and Pedro Pascal doesn't have all the best lines. HISTORY OF SWEAR WORDS is a Netflix exclusive talking heads thing hosted by Nic Cage discussing words like "F*ck", "Sh*t" or "D*mn", but none of the other profanities especially not that other one you're thinking of which seems a bit of a f*cking disappointment to be honest. We love to hear from our listeners! By which I mean we tolerate it. Try us on twitter @dads_film, on Facebook Bad Dads Film Review or on our website baddadsfilm.com. Until next time, we remain... Daytime star Rena Sofer won your heart as Quinn Forrester in The Bold and The Beautiful but when she's not starring in one of history's most popular soap operas do you know how she relaxes? She makes pottery. That's right Rena Sofer is quite the ceramicist, and her pieces are as funny as they are beautiful (who doesn't love a mug with a little sass?) Hear her tell hosts Clare Kramer and David Magidoff all about her work, why she finds it so calming, the types of pieces she likes to make, and even some tips and tricks for your inner-ceramicist only on Fanaddicts.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Jim Piddock is an actor, writer, and producer, who began his career on the stage in England, before emigrating to the U.S. in his early twenties. He made his theatrical debut in the U.S. in “The Boy's Own Story”, a one-man show about a soccer goalkeeper, at the Julian Theatre in San Francisco. The show was an instant success with critics and audiences, winning Jim the Bay Area Critics' Best Actor Award. The show was then produced Off-Broadway and he quickly gained the attention of the New York theatre scene. That same year (1982), he was cast in Noel Coward's “Present Laughter” by George C. Scott, who directed/starred in the revival, which also featured Nathan Lane, Christine Lahti, Dana Ivey, and Kate Burton. The show was a big hit on Broadway and Piddock soon found himself appearing in a string of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, including the original US production of “Noises Off”, “The Knack” at the Roundabout Theatre, and “Make and Break” with Peter Falk at the Kennedy Center. After replacing Frank Langella in “Design For Living” at the Circle-In-The-Square theatre, he moved to Los Angeles and has since appeared in a long succession of tv shows, such as “The Tracey Ullman Show”, “Coach”, “Max Headroom”, “The Twilight Zone”, “Murder She Wrote”, “Mad About You”, “Angel”, “ER”, “Friends”, “Crossing Jordan”, “The Drew Carey Show”, “Lost”, “Monk”, “Without A Trace”, “Dollhouse”, “Party Down”, “Law And Order: LA”, “Castle”, “Two And A Half Men”, “Children's Hospital”, “Mom”, “The Royals”, and “The Grinder”. He has also starred in several notable tv movies and mini-series, like “From The Earth To The Moon”, “A Mom For Christmas”, “She Creature” on HBO, and “The Women Of Windsor”. He appeared in his first movie in the top-grossing film of 1989, “Lethal Weapon 2”, in which one of his lines, “But…you're black” in answer to Danny Glover's request to emigrate to South Africa, became a catchphrase for the film. Other feature film roles soon followed, including notable appearances in “Independence Day”, “Traces Of Red”, “Multiplicity”, “Burn Hollywood Burn”, “Austin Powers 3”, “A Different Loyalty”, “Love For Rent”, “See This Movie”, “Love For Rent”, “The Prestige”, “Epic Movie”, “Who's Your Caddy?”, “The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising”, “Meet The Spartans”, Woody Allen's “You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger”, “Get Him To The Greek”, “The Cold Light Of Day”, “The Five Year Engagement”, “1915”, “Think Like A Man Too”, and “Kill Your Friends”. But it is probably his diverse performances in the improvised Christopher Guest comedies “Best In Show” (as the Dog Show commentator with Fred Willard), “A Mighty Wind”, and “For Your Consideration” that he has gained the most attention as a chameleon-like character actor, barely recognizable from role to role. As a voice actor, he is most notable for providing the voice of Major Zero in the English version of the massively popular video game “Metal Gear Solid 3”, Bolero the Bull in the movie “Garfield 2”, and the fictional artistic director of Forever Young Films, Kenneth Loring, doing a hilarious commentary in the directors' cut of the Coen Brothers' “Blood Simple”. His voice work in animated tv series and in video games is extensive and includes “The Lion King”, “Extreme Ghostbusters”, “The New Batman Adventures”, “C-12: Final Resistance”, “Return To Castle Wolfenstein”, “The Lord Of The Rings”, “101 Dalmatians 2”, “The Bard's Tale”, “Dead Space: Downfall”, “Ben 10: Ultimate Alien”, Alfred in “Batman: Under The Red Hood”, “Batman: The Brave And The Bold”, “Skylanders: SWAP Force”, “Turbo FAST”, and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”. He currently released his best-selling book, “Caught With My Pants Down and Other Tales From A Life in Hollywood.” We are so grateful to have him as a guest on, “Black Canvas.”

A top-to-bottom reassessment of 1986 classic Pretty In Pink with Duckie himself, Jon Cryer. Which team was Duckie playing for? Was Duckie a stalker? Why did Molly Ringwald end up with Blane, “a major appliance” when he was obviously such a dud? Why were co-stars Molly Ringwald and Andrew McCarthy so lame on set to the Duck-ster? Plus, a ten-year retrospective on the testosterone (or was it oxy?) meltdown of Cryer's Two And A Half Men costar Charlie Sheen, peddler of disembodies vagina pics, and possibly the 47th POTUS. PLUS: Trump v Sheen tale of the tape, No, Jon's not Matthew Broderick, not-really getting his cherry popped by Demi Moore, and all the HUGE similarities Cryer has with Pete Davidson. AND—an unfortunate Goldman/Cryer duet en español.
Tom visits with actor, producer, director James Widdoes. James is best known for playing Robert Hoover in the movie Animal House but is also a successful producer and director working on many television series such as Boston Common, Reba, The King of Queens, Two and a Half Men and Mom.

This episode's topics: Soul, Two and a Half Men, Star Wars, Time Travel Some times, your humble narrators get off on a particularly nerdy tangent and go way over time on the Accidentally Derivative Podcast. So much so, that we've mercifully removed it and made it into it's own series. These are sporadically released, only on the occasions when they go, well, Down the Doughnut Hole.

Shows wie "The Big Bang Theory", "Two and a Half Men", "2 Broke Girls" und natürlich "King of Queens" und "Friends" waren und sind Teil des Alltags geworden.

With all the coronavirus talk in America, a few things never change: Some people only want to help. Some people only want power. Some people don't even know what's going on. Tony Katz (http://facebook.com/tonykatzradio) hosts the Eat! Drink! Smoke! (http://facebook.com/eatdrinksmoke) podcast, presented by Fanimation.com (http://fanimation.com). Today, Tony and Fingers Malloy review Big House Bourbon (on sale for $8.99!!) and the Liga Privada Ratzilla cigar. Also true: many countries lie about how they are being affected. Is China one of them? And actor Jon Cryer from Two and a Half Men has the worst Trump Hate Tweet ever written. And that's saying something! Due to coronavirus, Eat! Drink! Smoke! was recorded in Tony's garage.
Alejandro has decided everything he has ever said is dumb and he rings in the new era of toxic podcast with a deep and confusing dive into the work of Chuck Lorre. This begins a lengthy dissection of Two And A Half Men, a show that helped liquefy all your parents brains in the 2010's. Sorry for being such a verbose fake ally!!

Discussing their first album of original material in over eleven years, Aerosmith´s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry discuss the accidents, the ill-fated attempts, the injuries and the bad luck they´ve experienced over the last decade. Which is more than most bands could take. In addition to that, they open up about Steven´s stint on American Idol, his passion for drumming, and his personal fountain of youth: sex - three times a day to keep the doctor away. They talk about Steven's appearances in "Two And A Half Men" and that infamous Burger King-commercial.
Ep 41: Beyonce That’s Who with Matthew Marsden In this episode Gearóid chats to former soap-star, former pop-star and proper Hollywood star Matthew Marsden. After a stint as a male model Matthew began his acting career in the UK soaps Emmerdale and Coronation Street. A brief but productive music career followed. He recorded the album “Say Who” for Sony. Notable because his backing singers on his second release were none other then Destiny’s Child with one Beyonce Knowles. Matt tells Gearoid how he ended up in the recording studio with Beyonce and why he walked away from music. After starring opposite Michael Caine in the movie “Shiner” Matthew relocated to Hollywood and has never looked back. Roles in “Black Hawk Down”, “Transformers” and “Anacondas” followed. On TV he appeared in “NCIS” and “Two And A Half Men”. He also chats about his introduction to Stallone when they worked together on “Rambo”. As well as acting Matthew has just completed his first project as writer, director and actor. His movie “I Am That Man” is the story of a Navy seal trying to reintegrate into civilian life. Matthew has spent his career playing military roles and with this movie he was determined to accurately portray the lives of the people who serve. "What? A Friday and a Saturday show, Evo?" Don't worry. I'm not making a habit out of this. It's just that you people keep going to BuyMeACoffee.com/evoterra and demanding more. So... thanks! With the sounds of the vendors at Podcast Movement 2019 tearing down around us, I sat down with Alban Brooke, Head of Growth at Buzzsprout, in the fancy Buzzsprout recording booth. They had two lovely-looking SM7Bs (my studio mic is back in my studio), and Alban has shared with me his theory on podcasting's "Two-And-A-Half Men" Problem. (Oh, and 2hile it was great fun to do an interview, I don't plan on changing the format of the show!) I'll be back on Monday with a brand new miniseries! If you like “Kahnversations,” please leave a rating or review on our iTunes page! There are so many inspiring podcasts with fabulous stars out there. But their careers feel light years away from ours, don’t they? Wouldn’t it be great to hear from the guy who just booked his first pilot? Or the kid finally doing a studio pic after a bunch of low budget indies? Or the woman who’s been a series regular a few times but is only now becoming a name? What about the guy who’s been on a show for years and you know his face but what’shisnameagain? Or that actress who is now a freakin’ showrunner???? How’d THEY do it, right? How did they transition from relative obscurity, bartending and bottle service, to buying that house in Brentwood? We’re producing “Kahnversations,” a podcast that provides access to THOSE people -- your immediate predecessors -- so that you can learn from them while their battle scars are still fresh. In “Kahnversations,” our own Ryan Bailey interviews some of Lesly Kahn & Company’s working actors, directors, and writers in order to learn how they got started in Hollywood, the challenges and hurdles they faced, and how they overcame the odds. (They also dish out some crazy stories!) Listen in and enjoy as these entertainers speak candidly about their paths, processes, and experiences. You might even hear a bit about how Lesly and the Kahnstitute have influenced and shaped their careers.

Say your prayers, the FUHcast has risen! Jim blesses the show with a Rundown. The guys talk about the controversial "Happy Holidays" greetings and if people are too P.C. with their intolerance. A small discussion on horrible holiday music happens before discussing the 3rd accuser of Elmo performer Kevin Clash. Jim reminds everyone that he is not a Joss Whedon fan and reviews the short lived Firefly series. FUH recounts the recent Powerball lottery drawing and how everyone in social media got fooled into over sharing things in the hopes of reaping false profits. CBS's Two and a Half Men can't seem to catch a break when the half a man, Angus T. Jones, joins a cult-like cult and denounces his career to whoever will watch and listen. Bill tells everyone (again) what he thinks about CBS's Big Bang Theory and Jim tells you (again) why he loves NBC's Community. Prostitutes in Switzerland are finally being boxed in for their own protection because the Germans thought it was a good idea. Jim nearly destroys this episode without using his hands. Dr. Phibil makes a brief appearance to endorse Bonertown, Jim's favorite nerd destination. Don’t call Grant Geissman’s music smooth jazz. It’s almost a misnomer to him and doesn’t really capture what his music is all about. Quite simply, the formally trained jazz guitarist is a hybrid musician, having trained on classic jazz standards and improvisation with some serious jazz-cats in the San Jose, California area over the years. As a guitarist with a diverse appetite for new musical experiences, he has also found a successful niche playing on several TV show scores and themes such as Monk, Dawson’s Creek, Boy Meets World, Touched by an Angel, Lizzy McGuire and other TV shows. Most recently he collaborated to compose the theme (and incidental music) for the CBS-TV sitcom Two And A Half Men, for which he was nominated for a Prime Time Emmy Award. As a session player, you’ll find his guitar work on projects for Quincy Jones, Keiko Matsui, David Benoit, and Dianne Schur. But Geissman’s window of opportunity opened in 1976, when flugelhornist Chuck Mangione added him to a short tour in California and the Pacific Northwest. The rest is history, as Geissman became part of Mangione’s band and became famous for his sizzling solo on the song Feels So Good. Finally, as a solo artist with eleven projects under his belt, you’ll find his new jazz project “Say That!” addicting. Inside MusiCast is pleased to welcome Grant Geissman.
