Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, it was founded by Peter Thiel,[4] Stephen Cohen, Joe Lonsdale,[5] and Alex Karp in 2003. The company has four main projects: Palantir Gotham, Palantir Foundry, Palantir Apollo, and Palantir AIP. Palantir Gotham is an intelligence and defense tool used by militaries and counter-terrorism analysts. Its customers included the United States Intelligence Community (USIC) and United States Department of Defense.[6] Their software as a service (SaaS) is one of five offerings authorized for Mission Critical National Security Systems (IL5[7]) by the U.S. Department of Defense.[8][9] Palantir Foundry is used for data integration and analysis by corporate clients such as Morgan Stanley, Merck KGaA, Airbus, Wejo, Lilium, PG&E and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.[10] Palantir Apollo is a platform to facilitate continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) across all environments.[11][12] Palantir's original clients were federal agencies of the USIC. It has since expanded its customer base to serve both international as well as state and local governments, and also to private companies.[13]     Palantir software connects data, analytics, and operations to help organizations make decisions and improve efficiency. Palantir's software is used by government agencies and commercial enterprises.  How Palantir works 1.    Connects data: Palantir connects to data systems, data lakes, and platforms.  2.    Analyzes data: Palantir analyzes data to find trends, relationships, and anomalies.  3.    Visualizes data: Palantir visualizes data to help users understand insights.  4.    Automates processes: Palantir automates processes to help users save time and improve efficiency.  5.    Improves decision-making: Palantir helps users make better decisions by providing data-driven insights.    Palantir has multiple platforms, including: ·         Palantir Gotham: Used by government agencies to detect patterns and derive insights from large amounts of data  ·         Palantir Foundry: Used by commercial enterprises to integrate data, perform simulations, and optimize workflows  ·         Palantir AIP: Used to deploy large language models and other AI within a private network    Failure of 911 terrorist attacks where government organizations were not sharing information. Government has to be able to sift through large amounts of data, looking for a terrorist network, the old needle in a haystack. Software allows government to go thru data, and also share information. In the past governments could run spy networks only, now with computer hackers, it could be run by anybody with a computer. Hard to search for terrorist, very creative. In carps view, you have to think like an entrepreneur and be tactical when going after them.   Cannot think in a static fashion, how did they do it in the past. When a terrorist is caught using a cell phone, they adapt to figure out how do they get caught and then use a different method. It's like game theory, you have to think ahead of the terrorist and find their patterns before they even realize they are leaving pattern. Terrorist may think in different terms that society deems as destructive, but it still may be very creative, almost like an entrepreneur. Per carp, you need creative and adaptive thinkers to go after the bad guys.   Cyber war is a real threat and not going anywhere. Need the government to combat it, but also must watch what the government is doing to not trample on civil liberties. Need to be able to track the data to see how the government went about things and did its targeting. Data destruction & Tag data - Know where the data came from, so government can use it lawfully.   You do not want to share data with the government, and then have the government use it against you. Because of technology and computers spying is democracized, a group of three teenagers at a coffee shop can launch a cyber attack. Systems can track down where these terrorists are, and show you the patterns of who they might be even if they can identify them directly.   Government and large health insurance companies already have a lot of data. The question is, how are they using it, is it being used in a lawful way? With Palantir software, you cannot only look for the terrorist, but you can also watch how the government uses the data   Can use Palantir software on top of current software to work through data Palantir and SpaceX companies – achieved $ Billion dollar valuation Unicorn status  Funded at loss for years, took decade to get Govt contracts   Name comes from the seeing stone in Lord of the Rings Powerful technology, that can help watch over the world, has massive, ethical implications Software helps government and businesses look over data and watch on people, but can infringe on privacy - Paradox of security vs freedom Also raises questions about privacy, verse convenience, a kin to the issue with current social media  Solve terrorism problem in big way Fight terrorism on a large scale, verse just smaller tactics with airport security   Fight terrorism at the high-level, verse low level tech with airport security and other measures that are very cumbersome and overbearing Coordinate resources better Hard to start in defense company, and this is the next generation   Palantir is coming up with a simple high-tech solution, to handle a serious and complicated problem Pre-911, government not prepared or organized to handle global terrorist threat, and many of the solutions were over the top and heavy handed   Company provides targeted efficient reactions, verse broad wide solutions There is both philosophical and technological debate on how this software can and should be used They also believe they can be more transparent, show accountability, and actually prevent government overreach Check NSA and FISA courts if used, it is not Security and CIA type orgs need secrecy Palantir could track actions of these orgs for review   Large organization, bureaucracy, often have outdated technology, and reporting, so hard to do oversight, can be very confusing Often these organizations want plausible deniability, so they don't want their accounting to be reviewed, and will list expenditures under different things, this could be seen as fraud Technology is both disruptive and how it can go through data, but also disruptive that I can force accountability and bring stuff to light   Creative accounting and inefficiency could come to an end. This forces people to adapt and change their ways. Human nature is not always open to this. Belief by CEO, how important it is to choose the right partner in person and business You want to work with people who will challenge your ideas, so you have the discipline and rigor to think out and give evidence behind when while your idea is right, or at the very least not wrong   Scale to be plausibly right, and not wrong is very valuable in life  People must be resilient enough to challenge, even their own ideas. Company, culture, fosters, and environment, where people are open to think, challenge, status quo, but also must defend their thoughts. They foster independent thought, and not just one way thinking in the company Also ambition to work on bigger national projects   Future of defense contractors is in software, which they don't have a good history with. A lot of the best defense contractors make hardware. Palantir reviewed what the government was doing to fight terrorism, and how they were spending tens of billions of dollars on it. They were spending it in the wrong way, and the process needed to be rethought. Took years to get in with government. Building software for spies and intelligence industry. Has both commercial private clients and government client.   A few different products that help big organizations analyze their data using AI, and make the data more understandable. This can help a company in many ways, be more efficient, cut cost, raise profits, understand their own company better AI and data are the new languages of the modern world. There's a lot of data and it is critical to keep it organized, but very hard. Their software goes beyond just storing and managing data. It helps them to utilize the data which is key.   Silicon Valley tree - Paypal to Palantir to Anduril Anduril makes Roadrunner – takeoff software **company seems like Stark Industries Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. Westwater Resources Inc has announced a significant sales agreement with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, part of the Stellantis group of companies. This new contract is a crucial step for Westwater Resources in securing debt financing as it represents a major offtake agreement. Steve Cates, senior vice president and CFO, joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion with details of the partnership with Fiat Chrysler, a company committed to the energy transition. The contract involves supplying natural graphite anode material from Westwater's Kellyton graphite plant, covering the balance of the Phase 1 production. This agreement, combined with a previously announced contract with Korea's SK On, ensures that the company's plant capacity is fully contracted. Cates highlighted the importance of this agreement in the context of the graphite market, which has been dominated by China for decades. Having 100% committed volumes under contract is beneficial for lenders as it reduces the risk compared to uncommitted capacity sold on the spot market. Fiat Chrysler will begin receiving supplies in 2026. In the meantime, Westwater Resources will focus on securing financing, selecting a lender, and continuing with the construction of Phase 1. The company is also looking ahead to Phase 2, with partial volumes already under contract and ongoing efforts to engage additional customers. #WestwaterResources, #FiatChrysler, #Stellantis, #GraphiteAnode, #EnergyTransition, #DebtFinancing, #CarrolltonPlant, #BatteryMaterials, #PhaseOne, #2026Supply, #ChinaGraphiteMarket, #LenderBenefits, #CommittedVolumes, #NorthAmericanProduction, #AutomotiveIndustry, #BatteryManufacturing, #SustainableEnergy, #ShareholderValue, #CustomerEngagement, #FutureContracts#ProactiveInvestors #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews

What could be more true to the Aussie experience than a bit of bush-bashing off the beaten track, but can EVs cut the mustard when it comes to off-road driving? This is the question Nadine and Rusty are on a mission to answer with Ralph Gilles, head of design at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, who helped design the first off-road 4x4 electric Jeep that might just crawl better than its ICE counterpart. We also meet EV-er Geoff Morgan who you'll find driving a Porsche Taycan - yes, a Taycan – to and from his farm 300km away. The news has Nadine blushing with the mention of Zac Efron, and trucksales.com.au Editor Geoff Middleton gives us the rundown on electric trucks after visiting the IAA Transportation Show in Hanover.

It's the stranded middle child. Even classifying exactly what it means is complicated and open to widely differing interpretations. And even when benchmarks are created, how on earth do you measure it?This podcast is about what the “S” means for employees especially those who are at the bottom of the pecking order and are being heavily squeezed in the cost-of-living crisis. What is the relationship between business and its people within the supply chain – many of whom may be on the other side of the world? In an increasingly fractured society, business has a unique platform to make a difference and young talent are looking to work for organisations with integrity and purpose. Unjustifiably large pay gaps and fat-cattery may be coming back to bite hard.On the other side of the coin, while business may feel it wants to do the right thing and act in an enlightened modern 21st century way, but can that relationship become too close? Have things gone too far when an organisation offers to freeze its young employee's eggs? Do people want this level of emotional intimacy with their employer or do they have every right to say, “This is totally none of your business Mr Boss Man?”The programme features interviews with three experts who have been thinking through these issues.Firstly, Baroness Wheatcroft, a journalist and life peeress who was former editor-in-chief at the Wall Street Journal in Europe. Bugatti, whose Chiron model starts at close to $3 million, will become part of a joint venture between Volkswagen's Porsche unit and Rimac, a young Croatian company that has made a name for itself doing design and engineering projects for large carmakers.   - The deal undoes a major legacy of Ferdinand Piëch, who dominated Volkswagen for two decades and built the company into a global empire. Volkswagen's purchase of Bugatti out of bankruptcy in 1998, long before it owned Porsche, was widely seen as an indulgence by Mr. Piëch with questionable business logic   - Oliver Blume, the chief executive of Porsche, acknowledged Monday that the deal removes a distraction for Volkswagen and allows the company to focus on more important tasks.    Original Source : https://www.nytimes.com/2021/07/05/business/volkswagen-bugatti.html   VW OFFLOADS BUGATTI TO RIMAC TO FORM NEW EV COMPANY BUGATTI-RIMAC   - The company recently unveiled the Nevera, a hypercar powered by a 120kWh battery pack and four motors to achieve a staggering 1.4MW of power, which is about 1,914 horsepower. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in 1.85 seconds and has a top speed of 258 mph. The Nevera is expected to be the fastest sports car, a spot previously held by the Bugatti Chiron's.   - Rimac's meteoric rise from bootstrapping in a garage in 2009 to building supercars with one of the most desirable and well-known car brands demonstrates how electric vehicles are beginning to take over the luxury and sports car market. It's not just about doing what's right for the environment – it's about pioneering speed in the future of automobiles. Along with this announcement, Rimac said it would separate the development, production and supply of battery systems, drivetrains and other EV components into a new entity owned by Rimac Group called Rimac Technology, which will work independently with other global car manufacturers.   - Mate Rimac will continue to hold his 37% share in Rimac Group, with Hyundai Motor Group holding the same 12% and other investors at 27%, according to a statement from the company. Porsche recently upped its stake in Rimac from 15% to 24%, but its total ownership doesn't give It a controlling interest in the new EV company, the companies told FT.   Original Source : https://techcrunch.com/2021/07/05/vw-offloads-bugatti-to-rimac-to-form-new-ev-company-bugatti-rimac/   TESLA MODEL 3 IS OUTRIGHT BESTSELLING VEHICLE IN UK   - The UK saw plugin electric vehicles take 17.2% share of the auto market in June 2021, up from 9.5% in June 2020. The Tesla Model 3 was the UK's overall best selling vehicle (of any powertrain) in the month, with 5,468 units sold. Overall auto market volume stood at 186,000 units in June, down around 16% from long term seasonal norms.   - 10.7% full battery electrics (BEVs) and 6.5% plugin hybrids (PHEVs), which is a swing towards BEVs from recent weightings   - Full battery electric vehicles outsold old-school (non electric assist) diesel vehicles for the first time ever, selling 32% more volume. Old school diesels took just 8.1% of the market, their lowest score in decades.   - combustion vehicles (petrol plus diesel) were also at a new record low of 54.5% share, from 76.3% a year ago. They are on track to drop below 50% within the next couple of months.   Original Source : https://cleantechnica.com/2021/07/05/tesla-model-3-is-outright-bestselling-vehicle-in-uk-plugin-evs-take-17-2-share/   VW DROPS I.D. Under the new pricing, two more variants have become eligible for the Government's Plug-in Vehicle Grant.  The new pricing strategy significantly affects the ID.3. Under the new pricing, two more variants have become eligible for the Government's Plug-in Vehicle Grant, which brings the total to six. For example, previously it was not possible to configure an Augmented Reality Head-up display on any ID.3 model other than the Max and Tour. Now, a customer can choose any trim level and add the Infotainment Package Plus to receive the AR HUD, alongside the additional speakers that are part of the pack. HERE'S WHAT TO KNOW   - Stellantis, the world's fourth-largest car maker, will host its EV Day on Thursday and unveil more details around its electrification strategy. The company, formed earlier this year through the merger between Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Peugeot, already has an electric-vehicle strategy, which it set out in April.   - The group has grown market share in Europe so far in 2021, accounting for 16.8% of new BEV registrations in the region from January to May, according to automotive analyst Matthias Schmidt. That puts it second behind Volkswagen — 25.7% — and ahead of the Renault-Nissan alliance with 12.3% and Tesla with 11.5%.   - BoA analysts expected Stellantis to deliver a “bullish message” on Thursday to make it clear to investors the company wouldn't be left behind in the electric revolution. “In our view, the only thing that Stellantis has to do is to put the various puzzle pieces together and explain some more details on essential strategy items (i.e. on battery chemistries, cell technology, cost assumptions for the EV line up, differences in planning between North America and Europe, capex requirements, etc.),” they said.   - Stellantis is also reportedly set to announce plans to produce electric vans at its Ellesmere Port factory in northwest England.   Original Source : https://www.marketwatch.com/story/the-stellantis-ev-day-is-coming-heres-what-to-know-11625491119   VOLVO, DAIMLER, TRATON TO DEVELOP CHARGING NETWORK FOR HEAVY-DUTY TRUCKS IN EUROPE   - Volvo Group, Daimler Truck and Traton Group have signed a  non-binding agreement to install and operate a high-performance public charging  network for battery electric heavy-duty long-haul trucks and coaches in Europe. With plans to start operations in 2022, the partners intend  to invest together 500 million Euros to install and operate at least 1,700  high-performance green energy charging points close to highways as well as at  logistic and destination points, within five years from the establishment of  the joint venture (JV).   - The future JV is planned to operate under its own corporate identity  based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.   - Battery electric vehicle fleet operators will be  able to leverage both fast charging tailored to the 45-minute mandatory rest  period in Europe focusing on long-distance transport—the highest priority of  the future JV—and also charge overnight.   Original Source : https://www.fleetowner.com/emissions-efficiency/electric-vehicles/press-release/21169044/volvo-daimler-and-traton-to-develop-charging-network-for-heavyduty-trucks-in-europe   TESLA MODEL Y STANDARD RANGE FOR HONG KONG MAY CONFIRM LFP USE RUMORS   - CNEVPost published in June that the deal Tesla made with CATL to extend their LFP contract up to 2025 would include sourcing these cells to the Model Y. Deliveries for the electric crossover with these batteries would start in July.   When we check Tesla's website about the Model Y Standard Range for Hong Kong, the company says that deliveries will start in September. The estimated range for the vehicle is higher than that for the Model 3 Standard Range Plus, which would achieve 448 km (278 mi).   - That's a 10% increase compared to the Model 3 SR+ value.   - Although the Model Y Standard Range for Hong Kong could confirm the LFP rumors, the price and range differences suggest that Model Y Standard Range may have 2170 cells. However, if that is the case, Tesla could also offer this derivative in the US.   - Another feasible explanation for the disparities is that Tesla developed a larger LFP battery pack for the Model Y.   Original Source : https://www.autoevolution.com/news/tesla-model-y-standard-range-for-hong-kong-may-confirm-lfp-use-rumors-164650.html   NEW CITROËN Ë-SPACETOURER GETS £14K DROP Original Source : https://evobsession.com/new-citroen-e-spacetourer-range-pricing-specs-in-the-uk-entry-level-model-attracting-2500-plug-in-car-grant-picg/   WILL THE AUDI E-TRON GT FACE THE SAME RECALL ISSUES AS THE PORSCHE TAYCAN? In addition to serving in ministry, Rochelle has worked at Chrysler (now Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) since January of 1999, first as an IT consultant for ACS, Inc (A Xerox Company), then as a direct employee (June 2014). Prior to her work at Chrysler, Rochelle worked for General Physics of Troy as a technical writer, having received a Bachelor of Arts in Scientific and Technical Communication from Michigan Technological University in May of 1993. More important than these degrees and credentials, Rochelle received Christ as her Lord and Savior in December of 1997. Since that time, she has been increasingly consumed with a passion to see lives transformed through relationships with our heavenly Father.in 2019 pastor Rochelle and her daughter founded a separate nonprofit called Safe and Sound Ministries focused on improving the quality of life for mentally ill as special needs individuals.Rev. Rochelle shares the amazing journey of starting her nonprofit, becoming a caretaker for mentally challenged people to now pastoring a congregation that is 75% mentally or cognitively challenged. This all happened during a pandemic and they have continued to thrive. Housing is their focus currently. Providing consistent housing for participants in Safe and Sound Ministry. They found a contractor who caught the vision and totally renovated their property into a beautiful home. Residents in the program have real responsibilities, they are responsible for cleaning up after themselves, cooking, and using their skills to help the others in the house. There were more than 159,000 plugin vehicle registrations in April, and 616,000 in the year to date (YTD). The plugin vehicle share of the overall auto market in April was 15% (7.1% fully electric vehicles), keeping the 2021 plugin vehicle (PEV) share at 15% and the fully electric vehicle (BEV) share at 6.7%." reports CleanTechnica" Last year’s winner, the Renault Zoe, was only 5th last month, its lowest standing in over 3 years(!) — so, after the Nissan Leaf (best seller in 2018, 7th in 2020, 16th now) and the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV (3rd in 2019, 12th in 2020, now below the top 20), the last bastion of success of the Renault-Nissan Alliance is also suffering. Market Ahead, January 18: Top factors that could guide markets this week

While benchmark indices scaled fresh record highs in the last week, high volatility and weak global cues dented the sentiment on Friday, leading to a massive selloff in stocks. However, both Sensex and Nifty managed to gain around half a per cent for the week. As indices look set to kick off the trading this week, Q3 earnings and global cues will likely guide the market, meanwhile, volatility could stay high in the run-up to Union Budget. Traders will react to the HDFC Bank Q3 numbers that came out on Saturday wherein the lender posted an over 18 per cent jump in December quarter profit. Besides that, around 193 companies are set to announce their quarterly numbers this week, including a number of prominent large- and mid-caps firms such as -- Reliance Industries, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Auto, YES Bank, Mindtree, Asian Paints, JSW Steel, SBI Life Insurance, Biocon, Bandhan Bank and Ultratech Cement to name a few. Meanwhile, on the global front, US President-elect Joe Biden will take office on Wednesday, January 20. Biden had last week unveiled a $1.9 trillion stimulus package that will come up for a vote in the Senate, wherein he would need Republican support to have it cleared. Any development on that front would be closely monitored by investors. That apart, market participants will also keep tracking latest developments and trends on the Covid-19 pandemic front, especially the pace of the vaccine rollout programme that kicked off on January 16 in the country and for signs of any adverse reactions from the vaccine. Moreover, movement in crude oil prices, rupee and FII inflows will also be monitored. Lastly, there will be no dearth of action in the primary markets too as two IPOs, namely - IRFC and Indigo Paints - are slated to open for subscription on January 18 and January 20, respectively. IRFC's IPO is priced at Rs 25-26 a share. Its nearly risk-free model positions the IPO as a safe bet for investors, analyst believe.  And now, let's take a look at the trade setup for today Asian share markets retreated from highs on Monday as disappointing news on US consumer spending tempered risk sentiment ahead of a closely-watched reading on the health of the Chinese economy. MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan lost 0.3% having hit a string of record peaks in recent weeks. Japan’s Nikkei slipped 1% and away from a 30-year high. E-Mini futures for the S&P 500 dipped 0.3%, though Wall Street will be closed on Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Tracking weakness in Asian peers, Indian markets too looked set for a tepid start. SGX Nifty futures traded 45 points down at 7.35 am. On the stock-specific front, Mindtree, IndiaMart, Rallis India and 18 other companies will release their Q3 numbers today. Wipro has been chosen as the strategic technology services partner by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. SAIL's retail portion of the OFS was subscribed 5.22 times on Friday. Investors bid for nearly 12.5 crore shares as compared to the 5.16 crore shares on offer. DHFL said the Committee of Creditors (CoC) has approved the resolution plan submitted by Piramal Capital and Housing Finance Limited, a Piramal Group company.

It’s a totally free marketplace that simplifies the buying and selling process, and help you learn about EVs along the way too.   WHAT EVS CAN WE EXPECT FROM STELLANTIS "By overwhelming margins, shareholders of both Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Peugeot parent Group PSA Monday morning approved a $58 billion merger creating the world's fourth-largest automaker, Stellantis." says NBC News: "Officials have suggested the merger will yield billions of dollars in annual savings while helping Stellantis accelerate development of the electric and autonomous vehicles expected to transform the auto industry over the coming decade. The new automaker will be under pressure to ramp up spending on both autonomous and electrified vehicles over the coming years. On the battery-car side, Stellantis will have to catch up with key competitors taking the lead in the race to bring electric vehicles to market."   https://www.nbcnews.com/business/autos/peugeot-shareholders-vote-merge-fiat-chrysler-creating-world-s-fourth-n1252712   NISSAN TO BUILD ITS NEW EV IN JAPAN AND NOT THE UK "The Japanese paper Nikkei reported that the new Nissan Ariya will be built in Japan rather than at Nissan’s UK factory in Sunderland. According to the paper, Nissan considered Sunderland but Brexit worries led the manufacturer to decide in favour of exporting the Ariya from Japan." says Next Green Car: " The UK plant that makes the Leaf and Qashqai has, at times, built more than 500,000 units a year, though that dropped to 350,000 in 2019. About 80% of those models are exported. The Ariya is the first EV from Nissan since the Leaf debuted a decade ago. The model will be sold in phases next year in Japan, Western markets, and China. Ariyas bound for Europe and the US will be made at Nissan's assembly plant in Japan's Tochigi Prefecture, north of Tokyo.   https://www.nextgreencar.com/news/9055/nissan-to-build-its-new-ev-in-japan-and-not-the-uk/   NIO TEASES ITS FLAGSHIP SEDAN "NIO announced that during its annual NIO Day event, on January 09, 2021, it will unveil an all-new flagship sedan - actually the first sedan in NIO's lineup." reports InsideEVs: "If it will be similar to the good-looking NIO ET Preview concept from 2019 and we are extremely eager to see it. The Chinese manufacturer said that the car will be equipped with the latest autonomous driving technologies and a 150 kWh battery pack! This is basically the biggest battery in a passenger car ever (assuming series production models). We guess that range should exceed 600-800 km (370-500 miles), assuming energy consumption of: respectively 250wh & 200wh / km"   https://insideevs.com/news/464111/nio-teases-flagship-sedan-150-kwh-battery/?utm_source=RSS&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=RSS-all-articles   FOXCONN SEALS MANUFACTURING DEAL WITH CHINESE EV STARTUP BYTON "Apple Inc. supplier Foxconn Technology Group signed a strategic cooperation deal with embattled Chinese electric-vehicle startup Byton Ltd. in a transaction that could mark a large bet by the iPhone assembler on the car-making business." reports Bloomberg: "Foxconn will supply Byton with its advanced manufacturing technology, operation management expertise and supply chain resources. . The companies aim to start mass production of the Byton M-Byte by the first quarter of 2022, according to a statement Monday. Foxconn is the single most important production partner for Apple, which is reportedly considering developing a self-driving car of its own. Foxconn is also seeking to diversify a business that depends on the U.S. smartphone giant for half its revenue."   https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-01-04/foxconn-in-talks-with-chinese-ev-startup-byton-for-funding   WORKHORSE GOT A LARGE ELECTRIC-VEHICLE ORDER Workhorse secured an order from Pride Group Enterprises for 6,320 C-Series all-electric vans. Workhorse’s C-Series vehicles are commercial delivery vans." reports Barrons: "Pride Group appears to be a privately held logistics company operating in the U.S. and Canada, offering services such as truck rental and trucking services. The company wasn’t immediately available to comment on the size of its operations, but Pride lists 260 trucks in its logistics group.  the news release says the order is “subject to various production and delivery conditions.” That could mean that delivery is predicated on Pride Group’s own demand for delivery vehicles, itself driven by demand from Pride’s customers."   https://www.barrons.com/articles/workhorse-just-got-a-new-electric-vehicle-order-what-it-means-for-the-stock-51609788398   TESLA CARS TO BE APPROVED FOR SALE IN ISRAEL "Tesla cars are about to be approved for use in Israel. The Transportation Ministry is set to approve the entrance of the US electric carmaker within the next day or so, a ministry spokesman said Monday." according to The Jerusalem Post: "Tesla was originally slated to launch its commercial operations in Israel in January and was set to open a pop-up store in Tel Aviv’s Ramat Aviv Mall. However, the launch was delayed by regulatory hurdles.  Details about the company’s operations in Israel will be revealed once the approval is finalized."   https://www.jpost.com/israel-news/tesla-cars-to-be-approved-for-sale-in-israel-654215   FIRST LOOK AT TESLA MODEL Y’S HEPA FILTER "It appears that the Tesla Model Y’s HEPA filter is quite sizable, and it is also designed in such a way that replacing it would not be a complicated affair. This was hinted at in an image recently shared by a Tesla enthusiast from China, who was fortunate enough to take a photo of the all-electric crossover’s HEPA filter. " says Sion at Teslarati: " the Model Y’s HEPA filter is installed just behind the all-electric crossover’s frunk. This would likely make the vehicle easier to service compared to its larger sibling, the Model X, which requires some disassembly of the frunk area when its HEPA filter is replaced.  Members of the Tesla community have observed that the Model Y’s HEPA filter is quite large and close to the size of the filter found in the Model X, a vehicle that is significantly larger. The size of the component itself also highlights Elon Musk’s previous statements about the Model 3 not having enough space for a hospital-grade HEPA filter such as those found in the Model S and Model X. "   https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-model-y-bioweapon-defense-mode-hepa-filter-first-look/   MG PLANS ELECTRIC SPORTS CAR WITH 300 MILES OF RANGE "If you go into an MG dealership these days, you’re far more likely to walk out with an electric SUV than a sporty car. The company hopes to change that by introducing the production version of its 2017 E-Motion concept" says Jalopnik: "MG has been working on an ambitious growth strategy recently, which aims to get the company up to a million unit sales in 2024.  The new electric sports car doesn’t have a name yet, but it will be a two-door 2+2 layout sports coupe.  There’s no getting around that the concept looks very Jaguar F-Type in shape, perhaps with a little bit of Aston DBS for flavor. Initial reports regarding the car seem to indicate that MG is looking to launch the sports car for an incredibly reasonable 30,000 British Pounds. At current exchange rates, that’s about $40,000."   Autoblog points out the scale from MG will come from the cheap end of the market though: "Storming into the electric sports car segment might elevate MG's image, but it won't significantly increase the firm's annual sales. It's building its volume goals on an electric, city-friendly hatchback that will be positioned in the same segment as the Honda E and the Mini Cooper SE, according to a separate Autocar report. Also due out in 2021, the city car will be about as big as the 3, MG's current entry-level model, and it will be considerably cheaper than its main rivals. Value, not performance, is the born-again brand's biggest selling point in 2021"   https://jalopnik.com/mg-plans-electric-sports-car-with-300-miles-of-range-fo-1845988501 https://www.autoblog.com/2021/01/04/mg-electric-sports-car-emotion/   DEALERS FACE CHOICE: INVEST FOR EVS OR GET BENCHED "The electric revolution disrupting an auto industry set in its ways for more than a century is pushing dealerships to make a choice: invest in the future or sit on the sidelines." says Detroit News: "GMC told dealers they didn't have to transition to stay open. But if they want to sell the Hummer EV coming late this year, they must agree to invest in charging stations, training and tools needed to work on and sell electric vehicles.  To sell Ford Motor Co.'s Mustang Mach-E, dealers have to be EV-certified with expanded charging abilities, increased service capabilities and more personnel training. It’s Martyn Lee here and I go through every EV story so you don't have to.   Thank you to MYEV.com for helping make this show, they’ve built the first marketplace specifically for Electric Vehicles. It’s a totally free marketplace that simplifies the buying and selling process, and help you learn about EVs along the way too.   MODEL 3 UPDATES FOR 2021 The latest Model 3 benefits from a series of ongoing quality and efficiency improvements, the most notable of which is the introduction of the Model Y heat pump HVAC system to the latest Model 3. This, combined with the updated tyres and other improvements to powertrain and software, causes Model 3 to beat its own record as the world’s most efficient mass-production car.   Exterior Updates Trim Updates Satin black side repeaters, door handles and brightwork   Wheel/Tire Updates  More efficient tyres across the range Updated 18/19” Sport Wheels Model 3 Performance with new 20” Uberturbine wheels   Powerlift trunk  Opens at the touch of a button on the trunk itself or from the touchscreen or the Tesla app.   Interior Updates   Updated Trim  Matte black finish replaces the gloss ‘piano’ black finish Satin black sill plates Graphite finish seat controls Metalised scroll wheels on steering   Sunvisors  Magnetic closure to snap back into place   Redesigned centre console  Fixed inductive charging mats for two smartphones Updated front compartment with sliding lid   USB ports  Two additional high-powered USB-C ports for high speed device charging Plus an additional USB-A port in the glove compartment to use for storage devices for Sentry Mode and Dash Cam footage   Model 3 Standard Range Plus     RWD     267miles (est)    (254 miles)         5.3 s             £40,490  Model 3 Long Range                     AWD     360 miles            (347 miles)         4.2 s             £46,990  Model 3 Performance                   AWD     352 miles            (329 miles)         3.1 s             £56,490   LATEST MODEL S AND MODEL X UPDATES Model S and Model X Long Range Plus and Performance benefit from the continued improvement of our vehicles across every aspect of design. The former makes 148bhp and 184lb ft of torque, the latter 113bhp. The other relevant numbers are six (the number of ratios in the dual-clutch transmission), 12.8 (the capacity, in kilowatt hours, of the lithium-ion battery) and 32 (approximate grams per kilometer of CO2, with UK figures yet to be confirmed). Here are two more: 6.7sec to 62mph, and 140mph flat out." writes evo.co.uk: "Cupra quotes 32 miles of all-electric range – a real-world 20-25 miles is more likely. The pseudo five-cylinder growl in Sport and Cupra modes isn’t too bad and ramps up the drama, and outright pace is brisk enough, but the electric and petrol elements always seem to be fighting each other. The electric motor doesn’t quite have the power on its own for that satisfying EV-only thrust of a full-electric car, but rousing the engine takes several beats longer than you’d hope too."   https://www.evo.co.uk/cupra/203183/cupra-leon-ehybrid-2020-review-are-hybrids-and-hot-hatchbacks-still-mutually-exclusive   MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE CROSS PHEV AVAILABLE IN 2021 "Mitsubishi has announced the redesigned Eclipse Cross, which will be offered in select markets in Asia, Europe and Australia for the first time as a plug-in hybrid with a modified version of the drive system from the Outlander PHEV." according to electrive: "Sales of the new model are scheduled to start in early 2021 in select markets, including Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Germany. At this point, there are no plans to bring the hybrid version of the vehicle to market in the USA. Mitsubishi does not provide any performance data, but since the Eclipse Cross PHEV basically takes over the drive system from the Outlander PHEV – albeit with modifications to match its own chassis – we at least indicate the performance of the new part-time electric motor."   https://www.electrive.com/2020/10/15/mitsubishi-eclipse-cross-phev-available-in-2021/   FIAT CHRYSLER WILL INVEST UP TO $1.5 BILLION TO BUILD EVS IN WINDSOR   "Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will invest between $1.35 billion and $1.5 billion in its Windsor assembly plant in Canada to build electric vehicles as part of a tentative deal with Canadian autoworkers, Unifor National President Jerry Dias said on Thursday." reports Autoblog: "The auto union said FCA would invest in a state-of-the-art vehicle platform that will enable the assembly of plug-in hybrid and battery electric vehicles, with at least one new model in 2025. The announcement comes less than a month after Unifor said Ford would invest $1.46 billion in its Oakville and Windsor plants."   https://www.autoblog.com/2020/10/15/fiat-chrysler-canada-electric-vehicle-deal-unifor/   NIO NARROWS GAP WITH TESLA " Nio, viewed as a bellwether of the Chinese electric-vehicle industry, narrowed the gap with US carmaker Tesla, mainland China’s highest selling electric-car marque, over the last three months." according to the South China MOrning Post: "The company, started by William Li Bin in 2014, delivered 3,226 of its ES6 sport-utility vehicles (SUVs) in September, a year-on-year increase of 87 per cent, according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA). In August, its sales rose 58 per cent, with the company selling 2,840 ES6s. Tesla, on the other hand, led the sector by quite a distance last month, by a margin of 8,103, having delivered 11,329 of the Model 3 cars built at its Shanghai-based Gigafactory 3. In June, however, the gap between Tesla and Nio was wider"   https://www.scmp.com/business/companies/article/3105773/chinese-electric-car-bellwether-marque-nio-narrows-gap-tesla   EVS TO RETURN POWER TO GRID WITH ABB INTELLIGENT CHARGING As part of a contract with France’s DREEV, a joint venture between Électricité de France (EDF) and Nuvve, which specializes in intelligent charging for EVs, ABB will supply its brand-new 11 kW bi-directional charging technology, specially designed for V2G.   ABB’s solution integrated with DREEV software technology will enable EV drivers to export surplus power back to the grid. With potential to generate up to 20€/EV/month, V2G thereby reduces the total cost of ownership and further boosts the adoption of EVs. Bi-directional chargers also help smooth the flow of uneven generation of electricity from renewable sources such as solar and wind. Under the partnership, ABB will supply V2G bi-directional kiosks in France, followed by installations in the United Kingdom, Italy, Belgium and Germany.   The light and compact 11 kW charger delivers a quick and flexible charge and is fully compatible with current and future EVs. It meets the most stringent grid compliance requirements and is designed to be the global benchmark for V2G charging.   You can listen to all 907 previous episodes of this this for free, where you get your podcasts from, plus the blog https://www.evnewsdaily.com/ – remember to subscribe, which means you don’t have to think about downloading the show each day, plus you get it first and free and automatically.   It would mean a lot if you could take 2mins to leave a quick review on whichever platform you download the podcast.   And  if you have an Amazon Echo, download our Alexa Skill, search for EV News Daily and add it as a flash briefing.   Come and say hi on Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter just search EV News Daily, have a wonderful day, I’ll catch you tomorrow and remember…there’s no such thing as a self-charging hybrid.     PHIL ROBERTS / ELECTRIC FUTURE (PREMIUM PARTNER) BRAD CROSBY (PREMIUM PARTNER) AVID TECHNOLOGY (PREMIUM PARTNER) PORSCHE OF THE VILLAGE CINCINNATI (PREMIUM PARTNER) AUDI CINCINNATI EAST (PREMIUM PARTNER) VOLVO CARS CINCINNATI EAST (PREMIUM PARTNER) NATIONALCARCHARGING.COM and ALOHACHARGE.COM  (PREMIUM PARTNER) DEREK REILLY FROM THE EV REVIEW IRELAND YOUTUBE CHANNEL (PREMIUM PARTNER) RICHARD AT RSYMONS.CO.UK – THE ELECTRIC VEHICLE SPECIALIST (PREMIUM PARTNER)   DAVID AND LISA ALLEN (PARTNER) OEM AUDIO OF NEW ZEALAND AND EVPOWER.CO.NZ (PARTNER) GARETH HAMER eMOBILITY NORWAY HTTPS://WWW.EMOBILITYNORWAY.COM/  (PARTNER) BOB BOOTHBY – MILLBROOK COTTAGES AND ELOPEMENT WEDDING VENUE (PARTNER) DARIN MCLESKEY FROM DENOVO REAL ESTATE (PARTNER) JUKKA KUKONEN FROM WWW.SHIFT2ELECTRIC.COM RAJEEV NARAYAN (PARTNER)   ALAN ROBSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ALAN SHEDD (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ALEX BANAHENE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ALEXANDER FRANK @ https://www.youtube.com/c/alexsuniverse42 ANDERS HOVE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ANDREA JEFFERSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ASEER KHALID (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ASHLEY HILL (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) BÅRD FJUKSTAD (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) BRIAN THOMPSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) BRUCE BOHANNAN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) CHARLES HALL (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) CHRIS HOPKINS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) COLIN HENNESSY AND CAMBSEV (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) CRAIG COLES (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) CRAIG ROGERS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAMIEN DAVIS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DARREN FEATCH (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVE DEWSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVID FINCH (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVID MOORE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVID PARTINGTON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVID PRESCOTT (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DON MCALLISTER / SCREENCASTSONLINE.COM (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ERU KYEYUNE-NYOMBI (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) FREDRIK ROVIK (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) GENE RUBIN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) GILBERTO ROSADO (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) GEOFF LOWE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) HEDLEY WRIGHT (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) IAN GRIFFITHS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) IAN SEAR (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) IAN (WATTIE) WATKINS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JACK OAKLEY (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JAMES STORR (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JIM MORRIS (EXECUTIVE PRODICERS) JON AKA BEARDY MCBEARDFACE FROM KENT EVS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JON MANCHAK (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JUAN GONZALEZ (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) KEN MORRIS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) KEVIN MEYERSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) KYLE MAHAN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) LARS DAHLAGER (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) LAURENCE D ALLEN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) LEE BROWN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) LUKE CULLEY (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MARCEL WARD (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MARK BOSSERT (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MARTY YOUNG  (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MATT PISCIONE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MIA OPPELSTRUP (PARTNER) MICHAEL PASTRONE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MIKE WINTER (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) NATHAN GORE-BROWN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) NEIL E ROBERTS FROM SUSSEX EVS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) NICHOLAS MILLER (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) NIGEL MILES (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) OHAD ASTON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PAUL RIDINGS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PAUL STEPHENSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PETE GLASS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PETE GORTON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PETER & DEE ROBERTS FROM OXON EVS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PHIL MOUCHET (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PHILIP TRAUTMAN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RAJ BADWAL (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RENE KEEMIK (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RENÉ SCHNEIDER (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RICHARD LUPINSKY (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ROB HERMANS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ROB FROM THE RSTHINKS EV CHANNEL ON YOUTUBE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RUPERT MITCHELL (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) SEIKI PAYNE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) STEPHEN PENN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) STEVE JOHN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) THOMAS J. Show #791   Good morning, good afternoon and good evening wherever you are in the world, welcome to EV News Daily for Wednesday 27th May 2020. TESLA CUTS PRICES IN NORTH AMERICA AND CHINA "Tesla has cut prices in North America on all of its cars except the Model Y by up to 6%. The delivery times for custom ordered Model 3’s has been reduced from 5–7 weeks to 3–5 weeks for the Standard Range Plus trim and 4–5 weeks for the other Model 3’s. Similarly, the custom order times for the Model X and S have shifted from 3–7 weeks to 4–6 weeks." says CleanTEchnica: "While the price cuts are desirable from a buyer’s standpoint and help Tesla advance its mission of accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy, they do show that Tesla’s demand for cars has been affected somewhat by the worldwide health crisis."   https://cleantechnica.com/2020/05/27/breaking-tesla-cuts-model-3-x-s-prices-up-to-6-in-north-america-model-y-unchanged/   CNBC notes: "Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced earlier this month that the price of the company’s advanced driver assistance system, which Tesla markets as “FSD” or “full self-driving,” would increase this July by $1,000, with more increases in the future. During Tesla’s Q1 earnings call, executives also said Tesla would offer FSD as a subscription service. Musk said at that time, of the subscription option, “It will be probably toward the end of this year.”   https://www.cnbc.com/2020/05/27/tesla-price-cuts-show-realism-in-face-of-coronavirus-slowdown.html   TechCrunch said: "The base price of Model 3 standard range plus is now $37,990, a $2,000 reduction. But the biggest cuts were made to Tesla’s more expensive, luxury vehicles, the Model S sedan and the Model X SUV. The Model S long range plus now starts at $74,990, a decrease of $5,000. The more expensive Model S performance as well as the two Model X configurations also saw prices slashed by $5,000. The traditional big three U.S. automakers, Ford, GM and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, have turned to 0% financing rates as well as deferred or longer-term payment options."   https://techcrunch.com/2020/05/27/tesla-cuts-prices-across-ev-line-up-ends-free-supercharging-for-model-s-model-x/     "All the pricier trims are also cheaper than yesterday. For example, a Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive Model 3 with Long Range now costs $46,990, down from $48,990. And the Performance Model 3 costs $54,990, down from $56,990. Pricier Model S and Model X trims all got a $5,000 price reduction " repotrs Mashable: "It's worth noting that the cheapest Model 3 still costs $35,000, but that one's not listed on Tesla's website; you have to call Tesla or physically visit a Tesla store to get it.  The price of Tesla's Model Y, for which the deliveries started in March, remained unchanged."   https://mashable.com/article/tesla-price-cuts/   Tesla has also removed its mention of free Supercharging on new Model S and Model X orders.     ALL-ELECTRIC VOLVO XC40 RECHARGE NOW AVAILABLE FOR UK CUSTOMERS TO ORDER The Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric – Volvo’s first all-electric car – is now available for UK customers to order. The first of five fully electric cars to be launched by the Swedish company over the next five years, the XC40 Recharge Pure Electric P8 is capable of travelling more than 249 miles on a single charge. The XC40 P8’s long range does not come at the expense of performance, with its twin electric motors producing 408hp to deliver a 0-62mph time of only 4.9 seconds. The lack of an internal combustion engine frees up space for an additional 30-litre storage compartment or ‘frunk’ under the front bonnet, while the placement of the batteries under the centre of the car means space is not compromised elsewhere. Initially offered in R-Design specification, the XC40 Recharge Pure Electric is available from £53,155, with UK deliveries expected to start in early 2021.   78kWh battery. fast charging up to 150kW. 1,500kg towing (towbar is £1,125).   Climate & Heated seats: 775 Driver assist: 1550 Power seats: 624 Parking cams: 575 Glass roof: 1000 Wireless phone charger: 175 Heat pump: 575   The heat pump acts primarily as a range extender that helps save battery power in the pure electric XC40 Recharge. When it’s cold outside, it transports thermal energy from either the ambient air or the battery and releases this energy to heat up the cabin. This transport of heat is provided by a compressor which consumes less energy compared to the car's standard electrical heater. And by also supporting the air conditioner to work more efficiently, the heat pump helps save electric energy at a temperature range from 0°C up to 25–30°C. The heat pump can also help warm or cool the battery to optimise performance and range during long trips or heavy loads.   TOYOTA REVEALS PROACE ELECTRIC "Toyota officially introduces the all-electric PROACE Electric delivery van (hinted in 2019) in selected European markets. Reservations are already being accepted and the first units will be delivered in October 2020 (in the Netherlands, for example)." says INsdieEVs: "The Toyota PROACE Electric is basically a rebadged version of EV vans from PSA Group, based on the EMP2 multi-energy platform. The French group previously announced:   Peugeot e-Expert Citroën ë-Jumpy (aka Citroën ë-Dispatch) Opel Vivaro-e / Vauxhall Vivaro-e The specification is basically the same, including two battery options:   50 kWh battery for WLTP range of 230 km 75 kWh battery for WLTP range of 330 km   https://insideevs.com/news/425503/toyota-proace-electric-15-year-battery-warranty/   BMW X2 XDRIVE25E SAC PHEV TO BE LAUNCHED JULY 2020 "BMW will launch the new X2 xDrive25e SAC (“Sport Activity Coupé”) PHEV, announced in January (earlier post), in Europe in July 2020 with pricing from €47,250 (US$51,800)." reports Green Car Congress: "The new BMW X2 xDrive25e features the fourth and latest generation of BMW eDrive technology developed for the plug-in hybrid models. An electric motor generating an output of 70 kW/95 hp and a high-voltage battery with a gross energy content of 10.0 kWh enable an all-electric range of up to 57 kilometers in the legal EU test cycle (35 miles). Together, the 3-cylinder combustion engine, which delivers torque to the front wheels, and the electric motor powering the rear wheels produce a system output of 162 kW/220 hp and create a hybrid all-wheel drive configuration. The new BMW X2 xDrive25e sprints from a standing start to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds."   HYUNDAI MOTOR GROUP TO GET ELECTRIC VEHICLE BATTERIES FROM LG CHEM "Hyundai Motor Group, which includes Hyundai Motor and its sister company Kia Motors has picked LG Chem as one of the battery suppliers for its upcoming new electric vehicles, a group spokesman said on Wednesday." reports Reuters: "Details of the supply contract including the electric vehicle (EV) model and the full amount of the deal, which are yet to be decided, will be confidential, the spokesman said. LG Chem declined to comment. Hyundai Motor said last year it would launch 16 EV models by 2025 with an aim to boost EV sales to 560,000 by then."   https://www.reuters.com/article/us-hyundai-motor-lg-chem-electric-batter/hyundai-motor-group-to-get-electric-vehicle-batteries-from-lg-chem-idUSKBN2331FR     AUDI E-TRON IS THE NEW KING OF NORWAY "Norway remains one of the most fascinating auto markets in the world. With a 70% plug-in vehicle market share in the first 4 months of 2020, there is nothing that comes close to it. That isn’t an overnight figure either — the country has been far ahead of any other market in terms of plug-in vehicle market share for several years."That said, the market leader is now a vehicle that would typically be outside the price range of a working class family in other countries, but Norway is a rich country (very rich country) with adventurous terrain, so it makes a bit of sense. The Audi e-tron isn’t just first — it’s far ahead in the #1 spot so far this year." says CleanTechnica: "A German model that was in the #1 spot for many, many months, the Volkswagen e-Golf, is solidly in second at 6% market share. After that, you’ve got the Nissan LEAF, Hyundai Kona EV, Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, Tesla Model 3, Renault Zoe, BMW i3, and then a long tail of remaining PEVs. You also have a handful of plug-less vehicles scattered into the overall sales rankings (see charts below)."   https://cleantechnica.com/2020/05/25/audi-e-tron-is-the-new-king-of-norway/       QUESTION OF THE WEEK   What are your desired specs for an electric pick-up truck?   I want to say a heartfelt thank you to the 227 patrons of this podcast whose generosity means I get to keep making this show, which aims to entertain and inform thousands of listeners every day about a brighter future.
