Jeanette interviews Barbara Muckermann, the President and CEO of Silversea Cruises. Barbara shares her illustrious career journey, from her early exposure to different cultures and languages to her various roles in the travel and luxury industries. She discusses the importance of sisterhood and supporting women in business, as well as the power of being true to oneself. Barbara also highlights the unique aspects of Silversea Cruises, including their focus on luxury experiences in remote destinations and their commitment to sustainability, sharing insights into the company's newest ship, Silver Nova, and the combination of Silversea's heritage with the resources and support of Royal Caribbean Group KEY TAKEAWAYS The company places a strong emphasis on its crew, considering them to be its biggest asset. The crew's empathy and training are key in delivering exceptional service and anticipating guests' needs. Silversea's acquisition by Royal Caribbean Group has provided the brand with the necessary resources and support to grow and innovate while maintaining its distinct identity. Silversea's newest ship, Silver Nova, showcases the combination of Silversea's heritage and Royal Caribbean's engineering capabilities. It features an asymmetrical design, allowing for more glass and natural light, as well as an open pool deck that offers unobstructed views of the destination. The company is committed to sustainability and has built Silver Nova to be the most sustainable ship in its class, reducing greenhouse emissions by 40% compared to previous ships. The partnership with Royal Caribbean Group has enabled Silversea to invest in sustainable practices and technologies. BEST MOMENTS "Success is a very dangerous teacher, because the day we believe we got it all, that's when, first of all, I think we stop enjoying because part of working for me is also learning new things every day." "I always consider my biggest strength the fact that I was born blonde with blue eyes, because many stupid men, they think you're stupid. And so they treat you like a blonde." "The strength about an asymmetric ship is really the consumer benefits that come out of it. So the whole structure of the ship is inside, which allows the whole ship to be built in glass. So the first thing, which is difficult to explain on a podcast, but this is really the ship of light." "So sometimes, as much as we were talking before about just open yourself to the universe and be out there, but also, don't be afraid of saying no if it doesn't feel right, because it's much harder to say no than yes."   This is the perfect time to get focused on what YOU want to really achieve in your business, career, and life. It's never too late to be BRAVE and BOLD and unlock your inner BRILLIANCE. Chris/Baz Europe appears to be the modern leader in construction of passenger ships, but are their any Australian ship builders of significance?Unknown, Chris Baz have you ever visited the Barcelona Maritime Museum. I recently visited and highly recommend a visit. Just a short walk from the port area, it was the former Royal Dockyards of Barcelona, and houses some great content from the 15th Century to present day including a replica Royal Galleon, over 60m in length and powered by 59 oars and the power of 236 rowers and the fully operation Schooner Santa Eulalia.Cruise newsPONANT – 35 Years of Exploration Guided by NaturePonant is celebrating its 35th anniversary by paying tribute to those who have been at the heart of its development and growth since 1988 with a new media campaign highlighting their expertise and commitment. The people of PONANT all share the same ambition to make travel a unique experience of discovery, understanding and meaning, with nature as a guide.Exactly two years ago, Captain Etienne Garcia reached the North Pole aboard the first LNG-powered hybrid electric polar exploration vessel. Maria, a naturalist, shared her passion for tropical marine life in Las Islas de la Bahía archipelago in Honduras. Sandrine, a naturalist, and expedition leader accompanied passengers across to Macquarie Island to educate them on penguin species, and Mick returned to Indonesia, to connect with local communities in his mission to craft sustainable and inclusive expedition itineraries. All embody the philosophy that has guided PONANT on its own journey for the last 35 years.35 years of environmental awarenessReducing emissions remains a major challenge for the coming years, which is why PONANT targets to equip its entire fleet with shore power by 2026.This corporate journey could not be achieved without the commitment of guests, partners, and the daily work of its employees, all committed towards more sustainable tourism.https://youtu.be/kH6sTNEoFhsSilversea Unveils 140-Day World Cruise for 2026, Its Most Diverse Voyage EverSilversea Cruises has unveiled details on its 140-day World Cruise 2026, ‘The Curious and the Sea'—the most diverse and immersive voyage in the cruise line's history, which broadens the largest collection of extended sailings in ultra-luxury cruising. Guests will embark Silver Dawn® in Fort Lauderdale on January 6, 2026, before travelling deep into 70 destinations in 37 countries—the most ever on a Silversea World Cruise—including 26 calls that are new for a Silversea World Cruise or unvisited since 2020, and 9 overnights. Channeling the same spirit of discovery that has driven exploration throughout the ages, bespoke events ashore, onboard activities, regionally inspired culinary experiences, three optional overland tours (Uzbekistan, Luxor, and the Balkans), and more will enrich the voyage. Guests will follow ancient trade routes, sailing the waters that connected the Silk Road, and transiting both the Panama and Suez canals; they will step foot on some of the world's most remote islands, including those in the South Pacific, a region explored by Captain James Cook in the 18th century; and they will witness lands that inspired scientific progression, such as Western Australia, which attracted Charles Darwin in 1836.70 DESTINATIONS, 37 COUNTRIES, 26 NEW DESTINATIONS, 140 DAYSFollowing a curated travel experience—including private executive transfers, Business class air, and a dedicated meet and greet service—world cruising guests will board Silver Dawn in Fort Lauderdale on January 6, 2026, journeying through Central America, before transiting the Panama Canal to South America. Highlights will include the rarely visited Phillip Island for the chance to see the penguin parade, during which thousands of Little Penguins dash from the sea to the dunes; Port Lincoln, for the Coffin Bay National Park and the Eyre Peninsula; and Esperance, visited for the first time on a Silversea World Cruise, with its pink salt lakes.

Olsen Cruise Lines unveils ‘Magical Music of The Beatles' world cruise from Liverpool in 2024Fred. Olsen has today unveiled a brand new world cruise for 2024 celebrating the magical music of The Beatles – including a specially-commissioned yellow submarine to offer tours to Australia's Great Barrier Reef.Fred. Olsen's Journey Planners have come together to hand-craft an itinerary that follows – as closely as possible – in the footsteps of The Beatles when they embarked on their 1964 World Tour, with a call into Copenhagen to mark 60 years since the opening night in the city.More than just day trippers, our guests will find ‘newspaper taxis' waiting ashore to take them on tours to many of the venues played by The Beatles during the famous tour. In addition, in Australia guests will be able to purchase a ticket to ride aboard Fred. Olsen's new submarine – of course, painted yellow and aptly named SS Penny Lane – to witness the Great Barrier Reef.On board, guests will find their very own Cavern Club where they can dance the night away to their favourite Beatles songs, and also a special ‘hill' out on deck – built from Norwegian wood from our homeland – where guests can sit and enjoy scenic sailings and sunsets. The cruise is a celebration of Fred. Olsen's long-standing links to Liverpool, with new ship Borealis homeporting from the city for another year in 2022. The ship will berth almost opposite the statue of the ‘Fab Four' at The Beatles Pier Head. And more... Widowspeak - "Everything is Simple" from the 2022 album The Jacket on Captured Tracks. Brooklyn-based duo Widowspeak are gearing up to release their sixth studio album, The Jacket, on March 11th via longtime label Captured Tracks. Initially intended to be a concept album based on a fictional band, The Jacket morphed into a more personal and biographical meditation on performance and past lives. The record's lead single, “Everything is Simple,” is a gentle alt-folk strummer that sees frontwoman Molly Hamilton wistfully ruminate on constantly shifting perspectives. “Everything is simple 'til it's not,” is the phrase that Hamilton hauntingly bookends the song with, describing a whole variety of possible situations. She had this to say about the meaning behind the “Everything is Simple”: “At the beginning of something (a relationship, a project, a job, a new place) you have this very pure feeling toward it. Everything feels less complicated because you're oriented wholly toward that potential. It's undefined, and that makes it easier to understand, because you can't see the problems yet. As time goes on, you learn more, you experience more, and you see where the limitations exist: not even necessarily ones imposed upon you, but where you draw your own lines. Maybe you can't see what was holding you back until it's in the past, and by then others' perspectives contradict your own. Everyone is constructing their own versions of reality. The song was originally going to feed into the drama of the imaginary band, but it's about our own band too. I was thinking about how I'm an inherently unreliable narrator about my own life, and at the same time maybe there are no ‘true' stories.” The song comes with a bullriding-themed video directed by OTIUM. Part 3 of a 3-Part Year-End Special where Pastor Karl breaks out the ol' cassette tape sermons from decades ago to see just how timeless the Word of God truly is. Today's message Karl almost doesn't want to share - it contains a long-forgotten secret of the ancient church fathers that has been hidden within a Latin code that Karl deciphered many years ago and prefers to keep to himself, and yet, the impact it has had on his spiritual life is so profound, he is compelled to share it. So you are welcome to listen but don't share it with too many people. Let's keep this spiritual Latin code to ourselves.

Un robot à Pizza ? Vous voulez dire un distributeur de Pizza ? Et non pas du tout… !
