Hosts Trina & Dr. Vicki are joined by Plastic Surgeon Robert Kotler, MD, FACS. Together they discuss the once highly sought-after Phenol Peel, which is considered the most profound and most effective type of chemical peel on the modern market. The Phenol Peel is a powerful chemical peel made for treating multiple fine wrinkles, sun spots, and discolored patches for specific skin types. In a series of questions, we break down candidacy, downtime, cost, compare and contrast with other laser procedures, and of course, the pain level. Not many new practicing doctors have taken the time to master this peel. To learn why, we brought on our resident plastic surgeon, Dr. Brandyn Dunn, to explain why he believes this procedure is becoming a practice of the past. For more on Dr. Dunn, you can listen to our past episode Bella Fill and Other Nose Enhancements: What You Need to Know, featuring Dr. Alexander Rivkin and Dr. Brandyn Dunn. THE WONDER: Science-Based Paganism

Remember, we welcome comments, questions and suggested topics at thewonderpodcastQs@gmail.com   S3E26 TRANSCRIPT: ----more----   Yucca: Welcome back to the Wonder Science-Based Paganism. I'm one of your hosts Yucca. Mark: And I'm Mark Yucca: And this week we're talking about the summer. and connecting with our local ecosystems in general, whether that's rural wilderness, urban, whatever it is, where you are, the. Mark: right. Yeah. We were talking about this before we started recording, it's, it's inevitable that in the dark and, and. And cold times of the year in here in the tempera zone that we get driven indoors by our climate. And so our observations and rituals and activities tend to be really indoor focused at that time of the year. Well, now we're at the opposite end of the year, and it's a time to get out and do things and explore the world because as pagans. One of the things we really want to be is really engaged with the world in our lives. Yucca: Right. Right. And, and we really encourage people to. Be getting out and experiencing things anytime of year, but this time makes it a lot easier. And there are a lot of things that are already happening. Outside is when there are lots of outdoor gatherings. It's pretty typical that somebody might be having a barbecue or anything like that. Now of course there are some environments. If you are in Tucson, for instance, You might not be wanting to go out during the date time, you might be spending a lot of time at night outside during the summer, rather than being out in the middle of the day at 110 degrees. Mark: Right. Right. And the desert is amazing at night. Yucca: Yeah. Mark: That's, that's well worth exploring checking out what it's like to be, out there in that nighttime environment with all those millions of stars. So, yeah, so let's talk a little bit about this. One of the things that we, that we talk about a lot here is how all of what we experience on earth is nature, right? There's there's, there is no, bright line distinction between the so called artificial, which is the human made and the natural, which is the stuff that's made by everything else. Humans. A part of nature. And what we do is natural. Some of what we do, isn't very good for the rest of the biosphere. But it's still natural. And so engaging with both what's going on in human culture, as well as with with the biological world is it's an important part of our practice. And so, one of the things that we talked about and, and have mentioned many times is this practice of paying attention. Yucca: And that, I mean, there's so many benefits to that. And some of it is, is just on a very practical level of just how you end up feeling in your health as, as another animal. And some of it is also the sense of connection and satisfaction and. Wonder and awe that we get on that very emotional level as well for just tuning in, right. Mark: right, right. And that tuning in it can tell us things about what's going on in the hidden world that we can't see of, of. We, we don't get to follow a bee around and find all the, find out all the things that the bee does. Right. We may see the bee on some flowers and then it flies off. And the rest of what it does, unless you're a beekeeper is kind of mysterious. And the cycles of all of the living, things that are going on around us are very much like that. So we're kind of, observing the tip of the iceberg of everything that's out there. But even that can tell us a lot about what's happening with our climate, what what's happening with the time of year, how that might have changed from our previous year. And so one tool that we encourage you to take up if you haven't already is what's called a phenology journal. And a phenology journal. Literally, what that means is what happened. Phenol phenology is just keeping track of what happened. And so if you go out and in the morning before you get ready to go to work, if you sit for 10 minutes and write down what you see and what temperature it is and what the sky looks like. Pretty soon you will have a data set that will give you a lot of information about how to cha, how to celebrate your Yucca: Mm-hmm right. And, it's kind of funny when we talk about, oh, so what topic do we wanna talk about next episode? Or, what, what can we talk about that we haven't, since we've done, almost three years of episodes and occasionally we'll be browsing through topics, like pagan. And blog ideas or something like that and come across the idea of a book of shadows and both of us have gone. Well, I don't really do that. I don't really have much to say about that. But this is kind of, this is at least for me, the closest thing that I would do to a book of shadows, where it's a recording of what I see, what I noticed what's happening. Not so much about me on the inside. But about the land around me, about the, the area where, where Mark: mm-hmm yeah. And that isn't mutually exclusive with a more traditional book of shadows either. I mean, you could put your, the rituals that you're practicing, whatever Toro cards you drew that day, you could put all that into that journal as well. If you wanted to, or you could keep that stuff in a separate journal Yucca: Right. Mark: as, just as easily, but the, the. The practice of paying attention in that very detailed way of being an amateur scientist and observing and gathering the data about what's happening around you can be really illuminating. And what I find is that it's illuminating about myself too, because if I look at, if I look at my journal entries, I'll notice. Well, okay. This day I was apparently really distracted cuz I didn't capture very much. This other day I was really engaged because I wrote a whole page of stuff that I was observing. And so you kind of learned things about yourself as well. So. Having said all that about how great it is to pay attention and to, keep track of what we're learning, what you can learn about what's happening around you. This is the time of year for field trips, Yucca: Mm-hmm Mark: uh, which some people call vacations or weekends of camping or whatever it is. And that doesn't have to mean going to a spot of so called nature. Because human activity is, as I just said, human activity is also nature and culture is something that's also very interesting. So, going to a concert, going to a, a special restaurant, going to a lecture or. Museum, all of those things too, can, be informative of your pagan experience because what we want to be, the reason that we're Pagan's right, is that we want to be engaged with the world. We wanna celebrate that as we go forward. So I invite you, whether or not you're able to take time and, and go away to somewhere that's, more trees and animals than it is buildings.  Yucca: Right. Mark: So bring that, that kind of curiosity to the experiences that you can have in the urban environment too. And we are, this is sort of a, a preview. We're gonna do an episode on urban paganism. It's a, it's an idea that was just suggested to us, and we want to do that, but it's gonna take a little bit to set up, cuz we'd like to do, we'd like to have some interviews with that. Yucca: Yeah. So, so thinking about some of the things that. In an urban environment, let's say, you, if you could do a trip to the mountains for camping for a week, like wonderful, but that's unlikely to be what most of us can do. There can be just little moments too, like stopping for half an hour. And people watching or going to the park or actually even just taking a different route home on your commute and noticing what do you see? What do you pick up on, right? Or is there part of the town where. When you do your, your grocery shopping, if you go to a particular store, is there that same store on the other part of town that you can go to and you can go there just a few times a year and kind of check in like, oh, what is it like in the early spring? And what's that part of town like in the, the fall or that sort of thing, just that in making a point to pay attention and be aware in the little moments. That is that's Mark: Right, right. One of the things that we're learning about human memory is that memory, memory that's accessible, that you can, that you can reach back to and, and, bring conjure the, the moment up again, it tends to be of things that are novel. Yucca: wonderful and helpful Mark: Things that are new, which is why traveling is so wonderful because every experience is a new experience. You're not in the rut of the same house, the same car, the same workplace, the same route to work. So introducing novelty into your life that way can make your life a lot more memorable and feel like you're having. More life, you, you don't, you don't wake up one day and realize God, three years have gone by how did that happen? Cuz you're doing things that are interesting and and keep you awake and alive. Yucca: Right. And that's one of the thoughts about why it felt like years lasted for so long when we were kids. And then the older we get, the more, it just seems to be flying by. Some of that is perspective in that, the one year is just a much shorter period of our lives now, but when we were a kid, everything was new. Right. You learned, you learned that other continents existed for the first time. At some point when you were a kid or the first time you learned about the periodic table, or you heard an owl or a something, all of those things were new. The whole world was new and actually. Even though we're, I'm assuming most folks listening are, are adults. Maybe we've got some, some awesome youth listening as well. But even though things are, are, we've experienced a lot of the world we've not experienced anywhere, close to all of it. Mark: Mm-hmm Yucca: could have something new, a novel every single day of your life. If you are looking for it. And paying attention for it. Mark: Right. And that's why this paying attention is so important for having an engaged life. One of the big differences between paganism, including non theist, paganism and. The the big monotheisms is that. As far as we're concerned, we're living for this world, we're even, even pagans who believe in an afterlife, don't generally believe that they're trying to qualify for some afterlife. That's a good one. They believe that something else is gonna happen after you die. But in the meantime, our job is to live this life as well as we possibly can. Yucca: Mm-hmm Mark: And as non theist pagans, as far as we're concerned, that's it, you die and nature disassembles you and forms you into new stuff. So this life and engaging with this world that has brought us forth becomes the central mission. Of our existence and that's a really profoundly different approach than the mainstream approach. And it's so important, I believe for introduction of that into the culture, because it's the only it's that ethic that's gonna enable us to really tackle problems like climate change. People have really got to understand how important this world is in order to make the appropriate and sometimes uncomfortable adjustments that are gonna be required in order for us to solve this. Yucca: Yeah. Right. And, and being aware of what this world is, that's a big step in that, right. Because as we've been talking about the, the human world of culture and all of these, that's totally valid and it's extremely important, but it's not all of it. It's a very, very small, tiny sliver of what's happening. What's part of this planet and this Mark: Yes. Yes. And so. Having a respectful curiosity about all of these things becomes a really useful default position. Yucca: system mm-hmm Mark: I mean, I would take that one step further. I would say that having a respectful curiosity carries into successful to successful relationships, successful business practices, all that kind of thing, because it keeps your mind. It means that you're listening and it means that you are acknowledging the the dignity and worth of the people that are around you and of the non-human entities that are around you, the, the creatures of the world. Yucca: Yeah. Mark: So really encourage you during these summer months to get out there whatever out there means to you. I mean, with COVID, we've been staying in a lot and of course we want you to be safe, but take a field trip, take a walk in a different direction than you used to take a different route home from work rearrange furniture in one of your rooms, shake it up. Yucca: Yeah. And if you do have an opportunity to maybe do something a little bit more than you typically would if you do have a chance to go camping or just to put that tent up in your backyard, if you have one where you might have just stayed home for your day off, that's also of the things about the summer is that it's a time where you just gotta do. Right in the winter often we're hunkered down and we're starting the late winter, early spring. We're planning in the summer. Now's the time, Mark: right. Yucca: it's the time to do it, if you're gonna do it, do it. And at least for me, sometimes that's the hardest part. Great. At the planning. . And then I just wanna sit there and keep planning about how I will go and do this thing. But then I gotta actually get up and do it, so that's, everybody's gonna be different with that, but just encourage people if you have the opportunity, whatever it is. And then once you get that momentum going, it's easier to carry it into the colder months or into the times of year. That might not be quite as comfortable or pleasant to be out. And again, it's gonna really depend on what your climate is. Mark, I would imagine where you live being outside in. January might not be so terrible. Right? Mark: No. I mean, it, it could be wet. At least we hope it is cuz we're in the middle of a terrible drought. But other than that, I mean the temperatures are still in the forties and fifties. It's just  Yucca: so it's sweater, weather, sweater, and a raincoat. Yeah. Mark: Sweater and a raincoat. Exactly. It's not, I mean the kinds of overcoats that people wear in areas that get really cold, we just never see them here because nobody ever needs them. Yucca: right. Yeah. Very different. But it very, very different than if you were in Missoula. Right. Trying to go out. And, and in January. So, but, but the point is like, whatever it is for you getting that, that momentum going this is a good time for that. If that's where you're at. Mark: It is. And one trick in doing that is to enlist allies. Yucca: Mm Mark: One way I imagine you can make things happen. Yucca is by telling your kids that they're going to happen, Yucca: Yes, it it, and then. Mark: then Yucca: They are. Yes. Oh, they Mark: hook. Yucca: ex and you think they forget about it. Right? And then you hear the little voice mom, you said like, oh yeah, I did say it, but it's bedtime now. Nope. Okay. I promised all right, let's go do it. Mark: Okay. Yeah, it is. It is amazing how the expectations of others could leverage us, Yucca: Yeah. And if you maybe make a, make a date to, to see somebody in the park, right? Hey, we're gonna meet for half an hour. We're just gonna talk for, hang out for that half an hour and then we're gonna go home. That other person is, is expecting you. Mark: Right. Yucca: And yeah, that's a, that's a wonderful point. So that goes back to some of the stuff we've been talking about, about, finding community and building community. And that can be powerful, but if you don't have that, you can still have that amazing private. Personal relationship with whatever it is you're doing the new route home that you're taking, or the sitting at the park, or, you know what, taking a moment to, to drink your morning caffeine on the porch or whatever it is that you're gonna be doing. You can do that in that, those quiet moments of Mark: right, right. So, this is a somewhat shorter episode this time and that's because we want to encourage you to go out and find it, whatever it is. It's it's summer. Which means a lot of different things in a lot of different places. But what it does mean universally for those of us that are in the Northern hemisphere is that the days are long. There's a, there's a lot of time to do stuff. And so, we hope that you will seize the opportunity to do exciting novel and interesting things and engage with your world. Yucca: right. And we will be back with you next week to already be talking about that August holiday coming up. Mark: That's right. Yeah. The, the wheel continues to turn, so we'll be here and we hope you will Yucca: Thank you everyone.    .

See all the Healthcasts at https://www.biobalancehealth.com/healthcast-blog/ Call BioBalance Skin at 314-648-5710 to make an appointment There are hundreds of facial skin peels out there that provide one benefit each.  The VI Peel is not just one peel with one effect, it has 4 different peels for different needs patients have. The first three peels are graded by how much damage you have, how thin your skin is and how much treatment you need. The fourth facial peel provides treatment for acne and acne scars. The FIRST secret to the VI Peel is that it literally is active on your face for three days! The Second secret is that the VI peel has 5 “acids” that do different things for your skin, so the treatment is often as good or better than two combined laser treatments. Three VI peels a month apart vs three laser treatments at less than half the price! The second Secret of the VI peel is that it uses 5 acidic and active peel products combined in one peel, as well as two anti-inflammatory products to calm the skin. The ingredients include: Glycolic acid penetrates the skin deeply and carries the other ingredients with it. Lactic acid hydrates and lightens brown spots, hydrates and firms the skin Mandelic acid reduces oil production and suppresses pigment production to even skin tone and brighten the face. Trichloroacetic acid treats texture, pigment, acne, and wrinkles, and drives the other active ingredients deep in the skin. Phenol is an anesthetic and mimics TCA treatments The first three types of peel provide extensive exfoliation, decrease of brown spots, and treats superficial wrinkles and tightens the skin.  VI Peel uses all of the ingredients above and is primarily for brightening and tightening. For younger patients with minimal damage and patients with Rosacea. VI Peel Precision is for normal Anti-aging skin with average damage. VI PEEL Precision Plus is the strongest peel for thickened skin and Antiaging. The fourth peel is called VI Peel Purify + Booster for Acne and Acne scarring and hyperpigmentation. The treatment time is short in the Spa, but you must be able to use specific products for after- care for the next 2 days.  The peel is actively working for 72 hours and avoiding the sun completely, using the provided towelettes to wipe down the area several times a day is required. How do I recover?  The first day you will look like you got a sunburn, but some patients do not have any downtime the first day.  The end of the second and third day the skin will begin to peel, and you must refrain from picking! You may trim the already peeled skin off, but don't assist the peeling. These peels require 2-4 peels, one a month for complete resolution.  Other treatments that. Treat the same problems often take 3-6 laser treatments so this takes less time. Each peel is about $300 and is painless. VI has also developed body peels for those of you who have severe sun damage on the decollete, arm/hands, back or legs. The peel is effective for brown spots, acanthosis nigricans, The body peels take longer to peel..usually 4-7 days and treatments are farther apart, every 4-8 weeks. They even have an app to track your progress on your iPhone!

WELCOME to The WELLNESS FOURplay Podcast Episode 22: B.I.I. - What every Woman with Breast Implants, or considering them, MUST know! What every Woman with Breast Implants, or considering them, MUST know! We KNOW that Knowledge is the "foreplay" to your Wellness, so we want to make sure you are equipped to be your OWN Super Hero in your wellness journey! Equipping you with the KNOWLEDGE you need to have the HEALTH you so desire!  1. WHAT IS B.I.I.?  Breast implant illness (BII) is a term that some women and doctors use to refer to a wide range of symptoms that can develop after undergoing reconstruction or cosmetic augmentation with breast implants. It is also sometimes referred to as autoimmune/inflammatory syndrome induced by adjuvants (ASIA). BII can occur with any type of breast implant, including silicone gel-filled, saline-filled, smooth surface, textured surface, round, or teardrop-shaped. BII is not currently recognized as an official medical diagnosis, and there is no diagnosis code for it. It is poorly understood and hasn't been studied much as a unique condition. Implants are a foreign object placed inside of the body that our Immune Systems actively go to war with. May 2, 2019, the FDA issued a statement acknowledging breast implant illness and the systemic symptoms caused by silicone. Saline was said to be safe... WHY are they listed? The casing of the implant is SILICONE that contains: Methyl Ethyl Ketone (neurotoxin), Cyclohexanone (neurotoxin), Isopropyl Alcohol, Acetone (neurotoxin), Urethane, Polyvinyl Chloride (neurotoxin), Amine, Toluene (neurotoxin/carcinogen), Dichloromethane (carcinogen), Chloromethane, Ethyl Acetate (neurotoxin), Sodium Fluoride, Lead-based solder, Formaldehyde, Oakite (cleaning solvent), Methyl 2-cyanoacryltes, Ethylene Oxide (carcinogen), Xylene (neurotoxin) -2-Hexanone, Stearic Acid, Zinc Oxide, Phenol (neurotoxin), Benzene (carcinogen/neurotoxin), Lacquer Thinner, Epoxy Resin, Metal Cleaning Acid, Heavy metals, and more! 2. WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF B.I.I. AND POTENTIAL MIS-DIAGNOSIS THAT CAN BE MADE?  BII impacts each individual in a unique way. Symptoms can include: Joint and muscle pain, chronic fatigue, memory and concentration problems, breathing problems, sleep disturbance, rashes and skin problems, dry mouth and dry eyes, anxiety, depression, headache, hair loss, gastrointestinal problems and more. The symptoms can appear any time after implant surgery — some people develop symptoms immediately, while some develop them years later. A lot of the symptoms of BII are associated with autoimmune and connective tissue disorders, such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and scleroderma. Some people who have BII also get diagnosed with a specific autoimmune or connective tissue disorder, but many do not. 3. WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT B.I.I.?  B.I.I. is a real illness that women with, and those thinking about, implants MUST know about. 100's of 1000's of women have already taken measures to recover from B.I.I. Marci has been working through many of the above symptoms for years, attributing them to incidents in her life: Car accidents, brain injuries, concussions, spine surgeries, full anesthesia 5 times in a 4-month span, pain medications, turning 50. Diet, exercise, sleep, heavy metal detox, mindset and Biohacking Synergy has kept her highly functional and undiagnosed, but not alleviated the symptoms she is living with. Marci's current list of symptoms: Fatigue, brain fog, memory loss, cognition problems, muscle pain and weakness, joint pain (neck, back, hands, feet, shoulder), weight problems (weight gain, bloating), inflammation, poor sleep, dry eyes with a decline in vision, low libido, headaches, ear ringing, metallic taste and dry mouth, mouth sores, sudden food intolerances, bouts of dehydration for no reason, numbness and tingling in left arm, cold and discolored feet/hands (Reynaud's Syndrome), pain and burning around left breast and underarm, depression, anxiety, mood swings, throat tickles with coughing fits, hair loss/dry hair, tingle and burning down left side of face/shoulder/arm. Thanks to prayer, resources and information showed up... Clubhouse Room Facebook Group with 140k+ members Website. The Heal is REAL Friend (personal experience & clients). Over the past 2 months, an awareness of BII has put her personally on a healing journey. 4. WHAT'S NEXT?  In many, but not all cases, surgery to remove the breast implants improves or completely resolves the BII symptoms. Explant surgery scheduled for August 4, 2021 or sooner with God's grace. For more information on BII, Marci's Biohacking regimen, Heavy Metal detox smoothy, the Facebook Support Group and Website, please contact us at DondeeAndMarci.com and make sure to mention Episode 22 and what specific information you would like. #WellnessFourPlay #ProactiveWellness #BII #BreastImplantIllness #AutoImmuneDisorders #TheHealIsReal #TheBiohackingTeam #EmpoweredWellness #wellness

Episode Summary:  Today’s guest takes us way back to 1919 when his company was started by his grandfather just after the Great War. He walks us through the many innovative ideas and products that the LaMotte Company has had over that time, what sparked those ideas, and the amount of work that it took to make it all happen.  We go through LaMotte’s pretty incredible list of accolades, including everything from blood kits, soil kits, phenol red, DPD, colorimeters, test strips, to their WaterLink® Spin Touch®.  Richard LaMotte became involved in the family business in 1984—another LaMotte on the long list of 15 family members who have been actively involved so far—and today he serves as the V.P. of Sales and Marketing.  Topics Discussed:  01:31 - How The LaMotte Company began  08:37 - Introducing the first portable pool test kits in the U.S.  10:58 - Steven Seagal using LaMotte test kits  15:56 - The original use for soil tests after the Dust Bowl  19:30 - Phenol red and why LaMotte began producing it  22:31 - Making the switch to DPD for drinking water and swimming pools  27:33 - Dealing with competitors such as Taylor Technologies  29:23 - The launch of DPD and phenol red tableting operation  33:16 - The launch of Insta-Test test strips in 1996  43:43 - The introduction of WaterLink and the WaterLink® Spin Touch®  54:12 - How LaMotte has handled the challenges of COVID-19  58:14 - How many LaMotte’s have worked for the LaMotte Company?  1:04:24 - LaMotte’s upcoming projects  Sponsors:  Pentair   Connect with Guest:  Website  Facebook  Instagram  Twitter  Youtube      Connect with Pool Chasers:  Website  Instagram  Facebook  Facebook Group  Twitter  YouTube  Patreon     Key Quotes from Episode:  Most people who managed pools before knew that you had a yellow, orange, or red color in phenol red, and that’s telling you that the pH is on the high side, causing problems such as clogging the pipes.  The precision you can get in a professionally-done titration with a large burette is always going to be better on hardness and alkalinity than on color metric.  The whole idea behind the WaterLink® Spin Touch® is to give people in the swimming pool industry a really fast way to test water because they have been asking for this forever. We have to find a way to make it reliable enough that they get the answers they need.  When you’re working in a small company, anybody can make a difference.

The hot water thus recovered can be incorporated in the first water for mashing purposes.” ”If a condenser is used in a system that recovers sensible heat from the outflowing water at an elevated temperature (>80 °C), a subcooler post-condenser will be required to chill the spirit to less than 20 °C to protect and enable spirit-safe instruments to record reliable readings.” ”In some distilleries, the condenser water is regulated to outflow at around 80 °C. This hot condenser water can be pumped through a mechanical vapour compressor or a steam ejector, with the flash steam produced being used to drive the still. Such techniques require the use of a spirit subcooler to ensure that the low wines are collected at a temperature no higher than 20 °C.” Denis A. Click to Subscribe to All Ben's Fitness & Get A Free Surprise Gift from Ben.   Alright folks -  I usually don't get this excited about a discovery, but when we're talking about a substance that is all-natural, amazingly simple to find, and incredibly diverse, it is well worth the buzz. In this February 10, 2009 podcast, I interview a farmer in Palouse, Idaho. And what he reveals to me is going to blow your mind. Let's just call it "Product X" for now. Before I tell you more about Product X, I want to remind you about three important studies that are highly relevant to fat loss, and that are going to help you understand why your body is probably more messed up that you think it is. These are studies that your physician, personal trainer, and nutritionist are probably not going to tell you about. This is NOT run-of-the-mill fat loss advice. Here's the first study (and remember, you should read this part because it ties in very closely with Product X): 1) "Antibodies Against Food Antigens are Correlated with Inflammation and Intima Media Thickness in Obese Juveniles" What the HECK does that mean? This study looked at kids, half of whom were normal weight and half of whom were overweight (i.e. "obese juveniles"). The researchers measured the children's levels of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (CRP), a marker for inflammation in the body. Then they used an ultrasound to look for plaque or thickening in the carotid arteries (the main arteries that supply the brain). Finally, they looked at blood tests for IgG, which show food allergies. Guess what? The overweight kids had 3 times higher CRP levels and 2.5 times higher IgG antibodies food allergy levels, and these values are almost 10 times higher than what other studies have found up to this point! The overweight kids also had much thicker carotid arteries - a huge risk for heart disease. How did this happen? When the gut is damaged by consumption of foods to which you are allergic, it becomes leaky, and these allergic food particles put your immune system on hyper-alert. Your hyped-up immune system then triggers an inflammatory response. And guess what happens next? Your cells become insensitive to insulin. This leads to insulin resistance. And insulin resistance leads to belly fat. So while you're busy counting calories and making sure that you drink the "skinny latte", I've got NEWS. It is WAY more important that your body is not allergy to those milk proteins then that you are drinking low calorie. And this is why I am now recommending that every one of my nutrition and exercise clients get food allergy testing. Especially the ones that are having trouble losing weight. But why take my word that a leaky gut causes inflammation? Here's another study: 2)  "Metabolic endotoxemia initiates obesity and insulin resistance." This study looked at what causes a leaky gut. In this study, researchers fed thin mice a very high-fat diet. Why a high-fat diet? Because high-fat diets (and we're not talking about good fats like nuts and olives and avocadoes - we're talking about crackers, muffins, and margarine) promote toxin-producing bugs, and these bad bugs kill the good bugs. Interestingly, sugars do the same thing. Here's what the researchers discovered: the toxins produced in the mice triggered killed off the good bacteria in the stomach of the mice and produced inflammation and obesity. So let's do a review of what we've learned so far: A) food allergies make you fat; B) sugar and bad fats produce inflammation, which also makes you fat. BY THE WAY, "sugar" and "bad fats" include whole wheat muffins, pasta, wheat thin crackers, and organic ice cream. Here's the third and last study: 3)  "The gut microbiota as an environmental factor that regulates fat storage." I'm going to keep this one short and sweet. This study found that people with good bugs in their gut lose weight quickly, and those with bad bugs in their gut gain weight and pile on body fat. And if you want to really get into the details of why, you should listen to Podcast Episode #29 with the Fat Flush Doctor. So now we know that gut inflammation, bad bugs, food allergies, toxins, fungus, and microbes can make you fat. Not to mention giving you chronic fatigue, bad sports performance, insomnia, repeated bouts of sickness, and a host of other problems. But how on earth does all this tie into Product X? Consider the following powerful excerpts: “(Washington, D.C.) Oil from the common herb Product X may be an effective treatment against dangerous, and sometimes drug-resistant bacteria, a Georgetown researcher has found. Two studies have shown that Product X Oil—and, in particular, Carvacrol, one of Product X's chemical components—appear to reduce infection as effectively as traditional antibiotics.… Harry G. Preuss, MD, MACN, CNS, Professor of Physiology and Biophysics, and his research team, tested Product X Oil on Staphylococcus bacteria—which is responsible for a variety of severe infections and is becoming increasingly resistant to many antibiotics. They combined Product X Oil with the bacteria in a test tube, and compared Product X Oil's effects to those of standard antibiotics Streptomycin, Penicillin and Vancomycin. The Product X Oil at relatively low doses was found to inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus bacteria in the test tubes as effectively as the standard antibiotics did.” Georgetown University Medical Center Press Release October 6, 2001 "Here's a member of the mint family that's simply loaded with antiseptic compounds. Product X is useful as a hot tea (inhale the vapors as you drink) or in a massage lotion. You can add a few drops of the Essential Oil to any skin lotion or to vegetable oil. (Page 391)" The Green Pharmacy By James A. Duke “The Essential Oil of Product X is the most powerful plant-derived antiseptic known." William Harrison Martindale Publisher Of The Extra Pharmacopoeia British Pharmacology Reference Book "Antibiotic resistance, the ability of germs to become impervious to modern antibiotic drugs, has been called one of the most challenging health threats of our modern era. Yet researchers report that Carvacrol, an ingredient found in Oil of Product X, kills off bacteria without causing antibiotic resistance." “Microbiology Letters” Federation Of European Microbiological Societies January 2004 "British researchers reported Product X Oil had antibacterial activity against 25 different bacteria." “Journal Of Applied Microbiology” Volume 88 February 2000 "What we found was that certain spices added to foods would be useful in preventing and even killing organisms like E. Coli that can cause disease," said Dr. F. Ann Draughon, a UT microbiologist who is co-director of the UT Food Safety Initiative.…The study found that Oil of Product X was the most effective at killing all the pathogens." “Tennessee Today” Current News From The University Of Tennessee June 14, 1999 "Researchers at the Department of Food Science at the University of Tennessee reported that, among various plant oils, Oil of Product X exhibited the greatest antibacterial action against common pathogenic germs such as Staph, E. coli and Listeria." “Journal Of Food Protection” Volume 64 July 2001 "Because the essential oils are so sweet smelling, it might be easy to suppose that their value is essentially one of charm. That would be a mistake. The Essential Oil of Product X, for example, is twenty-six times more powerful as an antiseptic than Phenol, which is the active ingredient in many cleansing materials." (Page 8) The Complete Book Of Essential Oils And Aromatherapy by Valerie Ann Worwood "General (Effects): The Essential Oil, which contains carvacrol, is antimicrobial in vitro. (Page 609) Physicians' Desk Reference For Herbal Medicines by Joerg Gruenwald (Editor) "Wild Product X, which is quite different than the variety on most kitchen spice racks, has over 50 antibacterial compounds." “The London Times” May 8, 2001 "Researchers from the University of Thessaloniki in Greece discovered that Product X was highly bactericidal (it killed bacteria and sterilized septic water) at 1/4000 dilution." “Journal Of Agricultural Food Chemistry” American Chemical Society Volume 44-1996 “Egyptians valued Product X for its ability to disinfect wounds and speed the healing process…. After Aristotle observed that tortoises ate snakes and then ate Product X to avoid dying, he recommended it as an antidote for poisoning…. “Product X Oil is one of the strongest antiseptic and antiviral essential oils. It boosts immunity and is especially effective against allergies, Candidiasis, chronic fatigue syndrome, and fungal infections. It stimulates sluggish lymphatic circulation. During convalescence or in states of general weakness, the body can be strengthened and energized by Product X. Its antibacterial action makes Product X ideal for spraying in a sickroom to cleanse or sterilize it and to prevent the spread of infection. “Respiratory ailments as asthma, bronchitis, colds, flu, sore throat, and even whooping cough respond well to Product X Oil's ability to fight bacterial and viral infections, relieve congestion, loosen and release phlegm, and soothe coughs, while it eases aches and pains and reduces muscle spasms. Product X alleviates the pain and inflammation of joint and spinal problems such as arthritis, backache, bursitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, rheumatism, and sciatica. It is often used in a pack or poultice to treat sprains, swelling, and stiffness. “Product X is helpful for all digestive disorders, particularly those resulting from nervousness. It eases indigestion that results from eating too rapidly. It calms the stomach, can stimulate appetite, relieves diarrhea, and can even cure hiccups. Product X can soothe headaches, migraines, and nervous tension. Its antiseptic abilities help to fight infection of earaches. Some people report success in preventing or minimizing motion sickness by drinking Product X herb tea. Others recommend chewing fresh Product X leaves to provide temporary relief from painful toothache. “The anti-inflammatory action of Product X Oil helps to heal wounds and skin infections, as well as to relieve skin disorders such as dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, and seborrhea. Because it has strong antifungal and antiseptic properties, it can fight fungal infections of the skin such as athlete's foot and jock itch. Massage diluted Product X Oil into the fingernails to fight fungal infections there. Applied topically, it helps reduce chronic skin infections. Product X is a powerful insect repellant; it may help to alleviate skin parasites, such as lice, because of its antiparasitic activity. “Product X can often stimulate the flow of menstruation when used in a sitz bath or when massaged on the abdomen. It also relieves the pain of menstrual cramps and helps to overcome insomnia.” (Pages 103,104)" Aromatherapy PA By Roberta Wilson “Medicinal Actions & Uses: Product X helps to settle flatulence and stimulates the flow of bile. Strongly antiseptic, may be taken to treat respiratory conditions such as coughs, tonsillitis, bronchitis and asthma. It is also considered to be a useful promote of menstruation. The diluted oil can be applied externally to toothache or painful joints.” (Page 240) Encyclopedia Of Medicinal Plants By Andrew Chevallier “Anticancer Effects: Antimutagenic and anticarcenogenic properties have been attributed to rosmaric acid isolated from rosemary and Product X.” (Page 609) Physicians' Desk Reference For Herbal Medicines by Joerg Gruenwald (Editor) “Product X has seven…compounds that lower blood pressure….” (Page 256) The Green Pharmacy by James A. Duke “Mother Nature has provided us with a powerful antibiotic in Product X Oil. Unlike synthetic antibiotics that are powerless against viruses and funguses, Product X Oil is effective against these pathogens too.” Dr. Michelle Schoffro Cook “The Cochrane Times” June 8, 2005 “Wild Product X Oil: Powerful antifungal agent that has the ability to destroy even resistant forms of fungi.” (Page 393) Prescription For Herbal Healing by Phyllis A. Balch “Oil of Product X is an excellent supplement. Product X had 3 to 30 times higher antioxidant activity than other herbs studied." “Journal Of Agricultural And Food Chemistry” American Chemical Society November 2001 “No significant adverse reactions have been associated with the use of Product X in culinary or medicinal concentrations. The FDA has placed Product X on its list of substances “Generally Recognized As Safe” (GRAS) for food consumption.” (Page 477) The American Pharmaceutical Association Practical Guide To Natural Medicines by Andrea Peirce “No health hazards or side effects are known in conjunction with the proper administration of designated therapeutic dosages.” (Page 610) Physicians' Desk Reference For Herbal Medicines by Joerg Gruenwald (Editor) That's right. This stuff works wonders, and people have been observing it for hundreds of years. In my own personal research, I've found that interestingly, in most commercial grocery stores and health food outlets, what you are getting is not the actual Product X, but rather, a fake knock-off imitation oil or compound that is a complete waste of money, and potentially harmful at higher dosages. But just 2 weeks ago, I received a phone call from a fan of BenGreenfieldFitness.com, and given complete access to one of the most highly concentrated and certified sources of Product X, at a price so affordable that I literally thought I was being pranked. It is a 7:1 mixture of Product X and almond oil, bottled in a 1 ounce medicine droplet bottle that lasts 1-2 months, depending on your frequency of use. The almond oil is a Virgin Sweet Almond Oil, which is more readily assimilated into the skin and less greasy that another other available carrier oil, including olive oil, which is the normal carrier oil for Product X. You can put it on your skin to treat acne and eczema, place a few drops under your tongue to kill fungus, microbes, yeast and bad bacteria in your gut, and even mix a little into a spraybottle to mist in your house and on your kitchen counter to destroy microbes. But how do you know you're getting the real deal? #1: The actual Product X utilized in the brand new customized BenGreenfieldFitness.com mixture comes with a laboratory certificate of analysis, is 100% pure undiluted and unadulterated, and contains 75% Carvacrol, the primary indicator of quality and effectiveness. It is the Wild Mediterranean version, harvested in France and stream distilled in a blend that is stronger than other blends that are available on the retail market - at a fraction of the price. #2: I guarantee that you will begin to notice results within just 2 weeks of implementing Product X as a topical treatment for skin problems, microbe killer in your home, or soldier against bad bugs in your gut. And your results will speak louder than any study or certificate of analysis! What do you think? Are you ready to save money on doctor hospital bills and useless fat loss treatments? Are you ready to eliminate yeast, fungus and bad bacteria in your gut? Are you ready introduce a completely natural, healthy, and highly effective microbe killer into your home or office?
