What if the hardest experiences of your life weren't meant to define you—but to lead you back to who you truly are? In this episode of The Lucas Mack Show, I sit down with my longtime friend and spiritual mentor Annie Yatch (https://www.linkedin.com/in/annie-yatch/) for a deeply personal conversation about truth, healing, love, and what it really means to become free. Annie and I have known each other for nearly twenty years, and our journeys have taken us through transformation, loss, growth, questioning, and ultimately a deeper understanding of ourselves. In this conversation, we explore what happens when we stop looking outside ourselves for permission, validation, and peace—and begin reclaiming the power within. Annie shares her transition from consulting and working primarily with men to creating a community designed to support women in releasing the emotional weight they've carried and reconnecting with their own gifts, wisdom, and genius. We also explore radical gratitude—the challenging idea that even the painful chapters of our lives can become teachers. Not because suffering itself is something we need to celebrate, but because healing can transform our relationship with what happened and allow us to receive love in ways we couldn't before. We talk about: • Releasing emotional baggage and old identities • Why freedom begins internally • Learning to receive love • Radical gratitude for the experiences that shaped us • Moving beyond fear-based narratives • Reclaiming your personal power • Oneness and spiritual alignment • Finding peace without needing the outside world to change • What it means to finally live as your authentic self At the heart of this conversation is a simple truth: You don't have to become someone else to be free. You have to remember who you are. If you're in a season of questioning old beliefs, releasing old versions of yourself, or trying to find your way back to peace, I hope this conversation meets you exactly where you are. Toni Ghazi, also known as The Antarean Heart, shares a raw and powerful teaching on abundance, money, scarcity, surrender, unconditional love, and the deeper spiritual meaning behind life's most difficult transitions. Speaking through the lens of the Praying Mantis Beings, Toni explores how scarcity, grief, poverty, fear, divorce, uncertainty, and personal breakdowns can become portals into deeper trust, self-love, and spiritual integration. This session includes a direct channeled transmission from the Mantis Beings through the Antares Stargate, offering a profound perspective on money as energy, abundance as freedom, and the importance of seeing God in every experience — even the ones the mind wants to reject. Toni reminds us that true abundance is not simply about having more money, but about reclaiming the wholeness of who we are and learning to honor every part of our journey as divine. Would you like to better understand your patterns and feel more empowered? Do you sometimes have a challenging time finding the positive in certain situations? Lisa continues the conversation today with researcher and best-selling author Ravinder Taylor. She has helped literally thousands of people change their state of mind and therefore empower their lives. Her latest book is "Mind Training: The Science of Self-Empowerment." Ravinder talks about the importance of choice. If bad things happen, it is not your fault. She asks us to ask, "What do you gain when you have a problem?" What is the difference between being informed and being prepared? How can you be aware of a problem or upcoming situation, yet not attract it? Ravinder has studied optimism and pessimism. Some people believe that doom-scrolling is about helping them feel more prepared. People have the "hope" that if they have information, they can be prepared so the worst-case won't happen. If someone looks for the negative, they will not have an enjoyable time and will feel stressed. Ravinder talks about statistics which show how much healthier people can be if they are more optimistic. What you expect, you observe. Your body will either fight or grow. Cortisol makes us feel stressed and can affect our hearts. She discusses actual techniques to increase optimism. We can be aware that some things will not work out, but if we are optimistic, we can grow and have a happier quality of life. Her "Mind Training" book talks all about the benefits of optimism and positive thinking. We can learn when things go wrong, and that means you have grown as a person. If your self-talk is positive, you cannot be depressed. Ravinder also talks about compassion and forgiveness. She talks about the prison system and studies about blame. We may need to separate ourselves from toxic people and toxic situations, but we can still offer forgiveness. She talks about the idea of "Forgiving the Unforgivable," and Free Will. We have choices and we can teach by example. This is Part 2 of the interview. Info: RavinderTaylor.com

Do you ever feel like you are going backwards and not reaching your goals? We've heard about various methods, but what happens when we really utilize the power of our mind to break through blocks to success in our lives? Our guest today is researcher and best-selling author Ravinder Taylor. She has helped thousands of people change their state of mind and therefore empower their lives. Her latest book is "Mind Training: The Science of Self-Empowerment." Ravinder talks about solid research which analyzed the importance of your state of mind, including a technique which improved cognitive abilities, reduced stress, and also made progress toward dementia. When she studied it further, she knew she could go deeper. What she wanted to do was take away the mystic around "self-help," and show how in a scientific manner that positive change could be proven. She studied various self-help techniques so that the reader could find methods that work for themselves. She was looking specifically at a 12-minute meditation, which had spiritual undertones. She talks about the Sikh tradition in which she was raised, although she turned away from organized religion. She further studied brainwave entrainment and how it works with meditation. She suggests bringing your own faith into your meditation, if that feels right for you. She talks about what beliefs mean and how certain ideas get into our mind. The subconscious beliefs are so powerful, but first she says we must understand where the beliefs originated. She talks about the divided mind that Freud explored which includes the Ego, the Id, and the Superego. She furthers talks about the idea of the 4 Selves and what they mean. Who do we believe we can be? It's not about perfection, it's about our personal successes. We can actualize them. Her training is about being the best you can be. She further looks at psycho-social development, starting as an infant. Each period of our life lets us learn different things. She outlines the stages and shares ways to correct behaviors toward empowerment through various exercises. We can look back at our own childhoods and see where patterns started. Ravinder discusses her research into the Law of Attraction – Ask, Believe, and Receive. She talks about insecurities, self-destructive behaviors, and the importance of choosing, rather than asking. This is Part 1 of the interview. Info: RavinderTaylor.com

Send us Fan MailThis week on the show Bridget Barkan stops by to discuss her new single Red Carpet, touring with Scissor Sisters, prophetic dreams and more. *** “I told my friend Rod Thomas a.k.a. Bright Light Bright Light the idea for this song and he said, ‘You must do it!' The next day my horoscope literally said, ‘Roll out the red carpet, now is your time',” laughs New Yorker, multifaceted artist, powerhouse performer and certified redhead BRIDGET BARKAN about the inspiration for her new single “RED CARPET” which is released today independently.A campy, ‘70s-infused R&B funk track sprinkled with ‘80s soulful sass, “Red Carpet” serves as a defiant, high-energy theme for self-validation, artistic autonomy, and a tongue-in-cheek anthem for gingers everywhere. In the spirit of retro music, Bridget recorded old school style along with cinematic funk jazz group The Brothers Nylon and singer/songwriter Alex Cherny - one take to tape with horns, synths and background vocals from fellow NYC musician friends Tony and the Kiki, Storm Marrero and Mariela Olivo in post-production. Adding a bit of extra mojo from Morgan Wiley (Hercules and Love Affair) on piano, percussion, sounds and beats (who mixed the record as well), “Red Carpet” offers high camp while grasping tightly to a built-in pop shimmer from all the collaborative glitter.Currently co-fronting platinum-selling, international pop sensations Scissor Sisters (for whom she originally served as backup singer for brazen Ana Matronic) alongside the flashy Jake Shears, Bridget carries over that band's sparkle and drama into her own music. “I learned so much from Ana touring with them back in 2010-2013,” she says. “She's always supported me as a sister and I love her so much. I've always called her 'Minister Matronic'.”Originally inspired from a playful introduction by Jake Shears (who famously dubbed her “the hostess with the most tits”), Bridget took his words “she doesn't need a red carpet because she's already got one” and embraced the cheeky imagery, transforming it into a profound meditation on her journey as an artist. “Being in the industry my whole life and having a lot of rejection and heartbreak or even being unseen and unheard at times, I often didn't believe in myself anymore,” she confesses. “I had to take the things that I love and juice them with this humor and sass and make a mantra for myself.”A staple of the New York performance scene, Barkan's career spans film, television, theatre, burlesque, and performance art. Following her tenure as a background vocalist for the Scissor Sisters (2010–2013), she stepped into the spotlight in 2025 as a co-lead singer when the band returned from hiatus. Her recent trajectory has been meteoric, including a massive successful 2025 UK arena and US tour co-headlining with Kesha, where she commanded stages from Madison Square Garden to Glastonbury.“People often ask me why I haven't been on Broadway, which is intended as a compliment but often leaves a sour taste,” says Barkan. “After years of chasing external validation, I realized the answer is: ‘I AM Broadway.' This song is a reminder that I don't need to book a specific job to validate my existence. It is about dismantling the ‘castles of idolatry' we build around industry success and empowering ourselves to BE the thing we are searching for and make the art we want to be part of.”Barkan brings a seasoned, unapologetic perspective to her work, tackling industry ageism head-on with lines like, “I ain't no spring chicken, but I'm still finger-lickin' good.” The track acts as a “spell for unwavering confidence,” for anyone ready to stop waiting to be chosen and start defining their own success. Red Carpet is not only a personal manifesto but a tribute to her chosen family of drag performers, burlesque dancers, queer artists, and fellow creators who use their hutzpah to entertain, heal and empower.***If you would like to contact the show Dauna@betertopodcast.comFollow us on Social MediaYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCX0ETs2wpOHbCuhUNr0XFTw?view_as=subscriberInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/author_d.m.needom/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/bettertopodcastwithdmneedomSupport the podcast here: https://www.patreon.com/bettertopodcastwithdmneedom©2026 Better To...Podcast with D. Guided Practice of Heart-Centered Yes and No: Quit People-Pleasing and Reclaim Your PowerChristel Arcucci introduces The Ecstatic Empath Show and teaches that the key skill to quit people pleasing is learning to say yes only when it is a full heart-opening yes and to speak a true, heart-centered no. She explains that authentic yes/no allows real connection, healthy people want the real you (including conflict), and unhealthy dynamics reward over-giving; the brain prefers familiar patterns. The episode guides a breath-and-body hypnosis-style journey using imagery of relaxing in a gently rocking boat and a brilliant “heart star” to reset stress patterns, pause with a hand on the heart, and discern truth. She emphasizes that saying yes when you mean no blocks heart-to-heart connection, while kind, clear boundaries support secure relationships and self-alignment. If you've been holding back from fully doing this work, this episode is for you. Today Lauren is getting into why a capable, secure man is not going to be threatened by you being a self-proclaimed man hater, where male insecurity actually comes from and why it has nothing to do with you, and why the version of you that keeps shrinking herself is not landing the relationship you actually want. Because the goal was never really a relationship. The goal is you, fully yourself, living a life that feels whole whether or not anyone shows up to share it. And if someone does? He's lucky to be let in.Stay connected here Connect with me on Instagram Please email me here: Lauren@ohyeahcoaching.comApply for coaching HEREWould You Date You? FREE guide

Lindsay Jacobi is a transformational mentor, speaker, and founder of Glow Up Collective, helping women who have lost themselves reconnect with their confidence, beauty, boundaries, pleasure, and power. Her work blends deep inner healing with real-life transformation, helping women become more sovereign, regulated, peaceful, and fully expressed in their lives and relationships. With her signature 90-day Glow Up experience, Lindsay supports women in areas such as personal style, beauty, relationship reconnection, vision mapping, and anti-burnout lifestyle shifts, with a focus on real follow-through, not just inspiration. Her approach is rooted in the belief that the glow-up is not just about appearance. It's about finally feeling like yourself again and creating a life that reflects the woman you know you are meant to be. As an entry in our VBB Year Of The BITCH conversations, we talk openly about Bitch, a word most women, for understandable reasons, reject outright. For us, Bitches aren't only venomous women but bold women who defy social stereotypes to reclaim narratives and embrace the full spectrum of their innate identity. It's a conversation about self-empowerment and living authentically, regardless of how others want to shame or control you with a word. If you're up for open dialogue with a woman who leads by example, jump in.

Most people crumble the second someone hurls an insult their way. You, me, everyone. But this short episode throws a Zen-sized wrench into that reaction with one of the simplest, hardest truths in spiritual awakening: You only suffer when you accept the insult that was handed to you. Will reads “The Gift of Insults,” a powerful parable from The Monk and the Butterfly that reveals why your peace isn't actually as fragile as you think...it's just mismanaged. And then he goes off-script into a raw, honest reflection on triggers, the pain-body, energy dynamics, and why letting people “take your peace” is a decision… not an inevitability. This is one of those deceptively small episodes that lands like a tuning fork in your chest. What You'll LearnWhy insults are “gifts”, and how not accepting them changes everythingHow your pain-body hijacks your reactions (thanks, Eckhart Tolle)Why people try to steal your energy, and how offering it freely disarms themA practical approach to staying grounded when someone comes at you sidewaysHow triggers point to deeper inner work you've been avoidingWhy protecting your peace is a skill… and one you probably haven't mastered yeWill digs into:How this same lesson plays out with his daughterWhen “not accepting the gift” becomes spiritual bypassingWhy understanding the energetics behind conflict changes how you handle itHow to stop giving away your power without becoming cold, detached, or numbWhy This Matters If you're on a spiritual path, you're going to be challenged, often by the exact people who know how to push your buttons. This episode gives you the framework to stop getting dragged around by other people's emotional chaos. It's not about perfection. It's about awareness. Control. Choice. You're not powerless — you're powerful. But every time you blame someone or something else for where you are, you hand that power away like spare change. Welcome, Pivoter! In this episode, April tackles a hard truth: sometimes, the biggest thing standing between us and our goals isn't circumstance — it's our excuses. We dive deep into the concept of Radical Responsibility — the practice of owning every part of your life and business that you can control. Because until you do, you'll stay stuck in patterns of blame and frustration, waiting for external forces to change what only you can shift. What You'll Learn Internal Locus of Control: How your mindset around personal control shapes your entire life and business outcomes. Challenges vs. Excuses: How to acknowledge difficulty without using it as a reason to stay small. Where You've Given Away Power: The hidden ways we surrender control — to people, to fear, to the past — and how to take it back. Real-Life Examples: April breaks down powerful stories of leaders and business owners who reclaimed ownership and changed their outcomes. Radical Responsibility in Action: How to stop waiting for permission, stop assigning blame, and take powerful action today. The Villain in Your Story: What if the person holding you back the most… is you? Quotes “When we start thinking of these external things, we're giving away our power and not operating from a position of power.” — April [08:28] “We can't be waiting for someone to advance our life or business for us; the second we feel like our hands are tied, we're almost always the person who tied our own hands.” — April [16:28] Actionable Items Identify the Power Leaks: Write down the top three areas where you've been blaming someone or something else. Ask This Daily: “What's one action I can take today that's 100% within my control?” Reframe the Story: Replace “I can't because…” with “I will figure out how to…” Own the Next Step: Whether it's in your business, relationships, or health — claim the next move as yours. Radical Responsibility doesn't mean you caused every problem — it means you own your response to them. Power doesn't come from control; it comes from choice. “You're not a victim of your life.
