A federal judge tells the Pentagon its Anthropic ban was “illegal and baseless” after Anthropic refused to remove safeguards that would allow Claude to be used for mass surveillance and autonomous weapons. Meanwhile, Sony and Warner are suing Anthropic over allegedly scraping and torrenting copyrighted music to train Claude, while a separate lawsuit accuses xAI of using child sexual abuse material in Grok training. Because nothing says “revolutionary technology” quite like a growing stack of lawsuits and federal judges.Elsewhere in the dystopian workplace, employees are increasingly fed up with AI, communities are pushing back against data centers, and one AI startup is fleeing that backlash for Saudi Arabia. Google's AI shopping mode is also accused of recommending products that cost significantly more than traditional search results, while Waymo and Zoox rack up injuries among test drivers. Tesla's Autopilot is implicated in another fatal crash, and FSD apparently still has a complicated relationship with freight trains. In the prediction-market casino, a federal appeals court sides with Nevada against Kalshi, while George Santos earns the platform's first lifetime ban for allegedly manipulating a market. And Meta's AI glasses are facing another privacy lawsuit, this time from the people who never bought the glasses but may have been recorded by them anyway.Plus, the new Twitter is back from the dead, complete with a $20 admission fee and an AI fact-checker named Vera; Sony would like you to understand that buying a digital game means you don't actually own the damn thing; Siri on the Apple Watch moves at approximately the speed of continental drift; JBL makes Wi-Fi speakers and we have Star Trek, Ted Lasso, Silo, Spaceballs, Wicked, The Traitors, The Gentlemen, and more. In this episode, Bryan sits down with Mike Pastorello, owner of Refrigeration Technologies, and Ashley Lins, director of education and brand management for Viper, to talk about the company's roots, its newest product launches, and where the brand is headed next. This podcast focuses on "The Lab" and how it integrates field technicians with product development. Refrigeration Technologies was built on a "for techs by techs" philosophy after John, an HVAC technician with a chemistry background, began inventing products to solve his own field problems. Now, technicians are using their field problems to inspire innovation in the Refrigeration Technologies lab, and the Easy Dose is the first product that was developed, tested, and distributed via the "Lab" initiative.  The team also discusses chemical safety in their approach to products and what's really inside products like the Viper Pan & Drain Treatment and Nylog. It’s easy to lose track of time without realizing where it went. A few minutes on social media becomes an hour, notifications interrupt meaningful conversations, and endless content competes for our attention. Technology can be a helpful tool, but when our phones, screens, and constant stream of information begin controlling our attention, they can quietly pull us away from God, our families, and the people and purposes He has placed in front of us. Ephesians 5:15-16 calls us to walk wisely and make the best use of our time. Redeeming our time doesn't necessarily mean eliminating technology—it means becoming intentional about what receives our attention. When we create space to pray, read Scripture, invest in relationships, and serve others, we begin using our time for something greater than simply staying busy or entertained. God has given us the gift of time, and we can ask Him for the wisdom and self-control to spend it in ways that honor Him and help us live faithfully. Highlights Why smartphones, social media, and constant information can quietly steal our time and attention What Ephesians 5:15-16 means when it calls us to make the best use of our time How technology can become a distraction from God, family, and meaningful relationships Practical ways to develop healthier screen-time habits and greater self-control Why intentional time with God should be protected from digital distractions How fasting from technology can help reset our attention and priorities Encouragement to redeem the time God has given us for His glory and the work He has called us to Want more encouragement throughout your week? Full Transcript Below: Redeeming, Not Wasting, Our Time By: Emily Rose Massey Bible Reading: “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:15-16, ESV). As a millennial, I find myself reflecting upon a time before the technological boom we seem to be facing, specifically before AI, smartphones, and social media. I remember taking a walk or riding my bike after school without the anxiety of accidentally leaving my phone at home. I remember the excitement of turning in my disposable camera from the school dance and then looking through my friends’ photo albums when I was hanging out at their house. I remember soaking up the most mundane moments without feeling the need to document them. Some of that could very well be what it was like to be younger, but I cannot ignore how much the simplicity of life has become more complicated and distracted with these portable devices that seem to control us and steal our time. About six months ago, I started to feel convicted about the lack of self-control regarding my screen time with my phone, so I purchased a little device that literally turns your phone into a brick when your phone hovers over it, depending on how much you want to limit its functionality. You can customize specific functions and apps that you want to limit, and for me, it was quite simply shutting down my social media usage. After six months of using this limiting device, I can see how it has helped me create healthier habits that have helped me prioritize my time more wisely. Instead of my phone controlling me, I have been able to start controlling it and using it as the tool that it is. My prayer to the Lord is “I want to be found faithful.” I have asked Him very frequently how I can use my time to glorify Him and be a fruitful disciple of Jesus. The Apostle Paul lovingly warns the church at Ephesus: “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:15-16, ESV). Intersecting Life & Faith: If the days were evil during Paul’s day, they most assuredly are evil today! Although our cellphones, tablets, laptops, etc are not evil, I do believe we need to be cautious as to how much time we are devoting to them. We need to be aware of where we are directing our focus. We need to be attentive to what is capturing our attention that may be causing us to make unwise choices. For me, the distraction from my phone was keeping me from intentional time with my sons and causing me to become captured by covetousness and discontentment with the swath of influencers pushing product after product. As we live in the great information age, we are bombarded with opportunities to fill our time and our minds with so many things that can so easily replace our time of fellowship with the Lord, as well as distract us from the very thing He has called us to do: make disciples! Perhaps you may not have an issue with technology distracting you from the Lord- praise God! Stay strong and be an accountability partner for those around you who are easily pulled away from the things of God because of the ever-increasing information age and the age of social media influencers promoting materialism and vanity. But if you are like me (a stay-at-home/work-from-home mom) and you are finding yourself with limited time to spend with Jesus in prayer and the Word, I challenge you to ask the Lord if there is something you can arrange in your schedule to allow better time management. Also, ask Him if He would like for you to fast (technology, that is), something that could be causing division between you and Him. Devote specific time every day to spend some quiet time in fellowship with God and reading your Bible, without your cellphone or iPad within reach- turn them off during that time and perhaps put a timer on the most-used apps that you access throughout your day. You might just need extra help with self-control, like me! Be thankful for the benefits of the tools and global connections that technology brings us, but don’t allow technology to rob you of your connection to Jesus or distract you from all the blessings He has put right in front of you. We have been given the precious gift of time here on this earth; let’s not waste our time but redeem it all for God’s glory! The business wasn't missing ambition. It was missing the structure to sustain it. What happens when a rapidly growing business starts demanding more from its founder than one person can give? In this case study, Dr. Jesse Jacobs of Freeform Chiropractic shares how he transformed a fast-growing franchise organization from founder-dependent momentum into a scalable enterprise built on accountability, structure, and leadership. As Free Form Chiropractic expanded from seven locations to a growing multi-unit organization, Jesse discovered that the next stage of growth required more than vision. It demanded operational discipline, clear systems, and a business that could thrive without depending on him to save the day. The result wasn't just a stronger company. It gave him more freedom with his family, greater confidence as a CEO, and a clearer path toward the future he set out to build. In This Case Study You Will: Follow how Free Form Chiropractic evolved from founder-driven growth to a business built for long-term scale. Discover why accountability and organizational clarity became the missing pieces behind rapid expansion. Hear what changed when Jesse stopped white-knighting every challenge and stepped fully into the CEO role. Explore how leadership systems created greater freedom both inside the business and at home. Take away the framework that helped transform growth into durability and optionality. Episode Highlights 01:33 – A fast-growing franchise looked successful on paper, but behind the scenes the founder was carrying far more than the business could sustainably demand. 02:56 – The realization wasn't knowing exactly what needed to change. It was recognizing that growth had exposed problems that couldn't be solved alone. 03:56 – Personal vision became the foundation for business vision, creating clarity that reached far beyond opening more locations. 05:48 – Looking beyond the bank account and into meaningful business metrics transformed how every location was measured and improved. 07:12 – Standards stopped drifting once accountability and clear ownership became part of the organization's operating rhythm. 08:55 – Building a world-class team started with a simple commitment: only world-class people would shape the future of the company. 12:06 – The pursuit of freedom gave way to something even more valuable: building a business durable enough to create lasting optionality. 17:20 – Growth wasn't measured only by opening more locations but by creating businesses that could thrive without depending on the founder. 20:58 – Reclaiming intentional time with family became one of the clearest signs that the business was finally serving the life it was meant to support. 24:30 – The greatest breakthroughs didn't come from having all the answers, but from surrounding the business with people who understood the journey. 28:12 - Technology should make running a chiropractic practice easier, not more complicated. Dr. Bobby sits down with Sam Ogutucu from Success Partner Medic Cloud to explore how specialized IT support and in-house digital X-ray solutions help practices improve efficiency, enhance the patient experience, protect retention, and create stronger long-term profitability. What makes a retreat unforgettable?   It is rarely just the itinerary.   It is the feeling.  The energy in the room.   The moments guests did not expect.   In this episode of The Retreat Leaders Podcast, Shannon Jamail sits down with Austin-based singer, songwriter, and musician Christine Baird to talk about the role of live music, art, and real human connection in creating transformational retreat experiences.   Christine has performed at multiple retreats hosted by Shannon, and together they explore why live music brings something to a retreat that a playlist, a screen, or even AI-generated music simply cannot replicate.   They discuss how music and art can shift the energy of a room, help guests become more present, create emotional anchors, and turn a good retreat into something people remember long after they leave.   The conversation also dives into why live, in-person experiences are becoming even more valuable in a fast-moving AI world. As technology gets better at creating content, music, images, and experiences digitally, the value of real human energymay actually increase.   If you are a retreat leader looking for creative retreat activities, ways to improve your guest experience, or ideas that help your retreat stand out, this episode will make you think differently about what belongs on your itinerary.   In This Episode You'll Learn Why live music can elevate a retreat experience How art and creativity support deeper connection Why guests remember feelings more than schedules How music can help people become more present The difference between recorded or AI-generated music and a live human performance Why in-person experiences are becoming more valuable in the AI era How retreat leaders can use music and art to create emotional anchors Why creative retreat activities can improve guest satisfaction, referrals, and repeat attendance Key Takeaways Retreats Are Felt, Not Just Attended Your guests may forget the exact order of the workshops. They will remember how the experience made them feel. Live Music Changes the Room There is something different about having a real person creating music in real time. Guests feel the energy, imperfection, emotion, and connection. AI Can Create Music. It Cannot Recreate Human Presence. Technology can create incredibly impressive music. What it cannot reproduce is the shared experience of being in a room with another human being creating something live. Art Creates Emotional Anchors A song, painting, creative workshop, or shared artistic experience can become one of the strongest memories someone takes home from a retreat. Retreat Leaders Should Think Beyond Content You do not need another workshop just because there is an empty hour on the schedule. Sometimes the better choice is music, art, nature, conversation, or simply space to experience the moment. How Shannon Met Christine (00:01:39) Shannon shares how she discovered Christine's magical voice at a winery and was so moved she hired her for retreats. Live Music vs. AI (00:03:35) The conversation explores how live music offers an emotional, human experience that AI-generated music simply cannot replicate. The Effort and Authenticity of Singing (00:04:36) Christine explains that singing is a physical, emotional effort, an instrument from within the body, unlike AI's effortless polish. The Human Brain is Rejecting AI (00:07:43) Shannon and Christine discuss how people are subconsciously starting to recognize and dismiss content created by artificial intelligence. Christine's Musical Journey (00:09:20) Christine shares her background, from musical theater in New York to finding her authentic voice and moving to Austin. The Power of Music at Retreats (00:13:30) Christine discusses how live music's frequency can literally change the biology and energy of a room and its attendees. Creating a Transformative Experience (00:17:40) Shannon praises Christine's ability to engage the crowd, giving them permission to dance, sing, or simply listen and feel. Christine's Long-Term Dreams (00:19:36) Christine shares her vision of connecting with large audiences, aiming to create uplifting experiences rather than just seeking fame. Dealing with Haters and Criticism (00:22:20) The discussion turns to handling online negativity and how life experience builds the strength to stay authentic despite criticism. The Unnatural Nature of Online Comments (00:26:49) Christine shares the perspective that comment sections are unnatural because humans were not designed to hear everyone's unfiltered thoughts. Favorite Music and Original Songs (00:29:48) Christine talks about her love for 70s and 80s music and her process of incorporating her original songs into sets. The Importance of Presence in Performance (00:33:12) Christine explains that staying present and authentic during a performance is key to creating a genuine emotional connection with the audience.

Patrick McKenzie (patio11) reads his Bits About Money essay on the business of wallets, with new commentary, prompted by paying his barber $100 over Venmo and wondering why PayPal so badly wants to be in the middle of that transaction. He walks through the economics that make wallets irresistible to anyone already moving money for users: funds enter the ecosystem at card interchange rates, move inside it at the cost of a database transaction, and get topped up over ACH pulls that cost about five cents at scale. From there he covers co-branded debit and credit cards, the loss-sharing language in PayPal's 10-K, Apple's 15 basis points on Apple Pay, and why a checkout page crowded with payment buttons starts to look like advertising inventory.–Full transcript available here: https://www.complexsystemspodcast.com/everyone-wants-to-be-your-wallet/–Presenting Sponsors: Mercury & GranolaComplex Systems is presented by Mercury—radically better banking for founders. Masters are learners, but they are also teachers.Mike Husson returns to the Culture Matters Podcast for Part 2 of his exploration of the Eight Phases of Mastery. This time, the conversation moves beyond understanding the framework and into a much more personal question:Where are you within it, and what is keeping you from moving forward?Jay Doran and Mike explore why intelligent, capable, well-intentioned people can remain stuck despite having access to more information, technology, education, and opportunity than ever before.Mike argues that the problem is rarely a lack of information. It is what we do with the information we already have.Learning requires curiosity. Mastery requires application. And eventually, those who truly understand something have a responsibility to teach it.The conversation revisits the early phases of Mike's framework, beginning with desire. What do you actually want? More importantly, is that desire truly yours, or is it something you inherited from your family, industry, peers, or perception of what success is supposed to look like? From desire comes decision and commitment. Then comes formulation, where the plan is built. But Mike explains that one of the most revealing stages is concentration, the point where the plan meets reality. This is where enthusiasm gets tested. Results may take longer than expected. Other opportunities suddenly look more attractive. People around you may question what you are doing. Technology creates endless alternatives. Comparison creeps in. The temptation to abandon the original commitment grows.Mike compares this phase to an airplane taking off. Getting something off the ground requires tremendous energy and concentration before reaching cruising altitude. You cannot remain at full throttle forever, but you also cannot reach altitude without applying enough force in the beginning.Sometimes the evidence of a powerful desire is simply your willingness to remain committed when the expected results have not arrived yet.Jay also turns the framework inward, questioning where he currently sits within the Eight Phases and whether mastery itself can become the beginning of another breakdown. If someone becomes recognized as an expert, stops questioning, stops learning, or becomes attached to the identity of being "the master," does mastery eventually send them back to the beginning? That leads to one of the most important ideas in the conversation: mastery is not the end of learning. It creates a greater responsibility to continue learning and begin teaching. In this episode, Jay and Mike discuss:Why curiosity is foundational to continued growthThe difference between consuming information and applying itLearning, doing, reviewing, refining, and eventually teachingWhy masters remain studentsHow to identify where you are within the Eight Phases of MasteryDesire as the foundation of every phaseDistinguishing authentic desire from borrowed ambitionWhy commitment must survive long after the original excitement disappearsFormulation as the process of turning desire into a workable planWhy concentration reveals the strength of your commitmentThe danger of expecting results too quicklyWhy intelligent and successful people still get stuckThe relationship between skill set, mindset, and confidenceWhy accountability and mentorship remain necessary at every levelThe importance of becoming comfortable with discomfortWhy too many opportunities can become more dangerous than too fewHow distraction and comparison interrupt concentrationWhy you have to learn to run your own raceThe relationship between younger and older generationsWhy technology cannot replace experience and human connectionHow community can create focus in a world of endless choicesWhether mastery itself can eventually create breakdownWhy being recognized as a master carries a responsibility to give backThe importance of in-person experiences in an increasingly digital worldMike's Eight Phases are not presented as a destination you complete once. They are a framework for continuously examining where you are, what you want, what you have committed to, and what the next level requires from you.Because mastery can become dangerous the moment you believe you have arrived. The greatest masters remain curious. They continue to learn. They continue to question. They continue to practice. And eventually, they take what experience has given them and use it to help someone else move forward.Masters are learners. But they are also teachers.

Every Green Beret, Civil Affairs soldier, and Psychological Operations soldier starts somewhere. Before they can operate in the world's most complex environments, they have to prove they can think, adapt, lead, and perform when the standard is uncompromising. At the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, the mission is simple to say and extraordinarily difficult to execute: build the world's best special operators, then continue making them better. In this episode, Fran Racioppi travelled to the center of the universe, Fort Bragg, NC, to sit down with the command team responsible for that mission: Major General Jason Slider, Command Sergeant Major Jeff Bochey, and Chief Warrant Officer 5 Gary Ostrander. Together, they lead the organization responsible for assessing, selecting, training, and educating the next generation of Army Special Operations Forces while ensuring today's operators remain prepared for tomorrow's fight. The battlefield is changing rapidly. After more than two decades dominated by counterterrorism, SWCS is adapting its training for large-scale combat operations and peer adversaries capable of contesting American forces across every domain. That means integrating robotics and autonomous systems, preparing operators for the digital and information fight, and understanding how artificial intelligence can enhance the force without allowing technology to replace mastery of the fundamentals. But modernization also raises a harder question: how much can we ask one operator to do? As new capabilities emerge, SWCS has to determine what belongs in the baseline skill set, what requires specialized expertise, and how to give operational units new capabilities without adding another burden. From the development of robotics expertise to the evolution of Psychological Operations and information warfare, the institution itself has to adapt as quickly as the battlefield. We also examine the relationship between SWCS, 1st Special Forces Command, and USASOC, and why lessons from operational formations must move rapidly back into the schoolhouse. Training cannot prepare soldiers for the war we just fought. It has to produce leaders who can arrive at their teams on day one, contribute immediately, and adapt to a fight none of us can completely predict.Technology will change. The enemy will change. The battlefield will change. The standard cannot. The responsibility of SWCS is to ensure that whoever earns the right to join Army Special Operations has the competence, character, discipline, and adaptability to carry its legacy into whatever fight comes next. Anika sat down with Holland Martini and Maria Vorovich to explore how Good Ques transformed the traditionally rigid world of market research by embracing creativity, humor, and psychological safety. The conversation revealed a counterintuitive truth: to get to real human insights, you cannot ask robotic questions; you have to shift the perspective and design an experience that makes people comfortable telling the absolute truth. Holland and Maria's unique journey—from working side by side at Grey in New York and navigating the unexpected hurdles of launching a business right before a global pandemic to earning recognition from Inc. Magazine and working with giants like P&G, PepsiCo, Adobe, TikTok, and Meta—offered a practical look at how two co-founders with contrasting working styles ("waffle brain" and "spaghetti brain") built an anti-research research company on mutual respect, clear communication, and purposeful creativity. In This Episode The Waffle and the Spaghetti: How balancing statistical rigor with big-picture creative strategy builds an indestructible co-founder partnership. The Spark in the Cream: Turning a New Year's Eve conversation about stale corporate jargon into a mission to reinvent consumer insights. Surviving the Pivot: How an early client backing out right before COVID unexpectedly forced them into the research boom. The TikTok Validation: Landing early major enterprise accounts by showing up with a genuinely different point of view. Rewiring the Factory: Why using AI to innovate the ultimate output rather than just speeding up the assembly line matters. The Power of Memes in Healthcare: How a viral internet joke helped a healthcare client accurately double their anticipated market size. The Empathy Deficit: Why modern brands get lost in best-practice perfection and forget to design human experiences for respondents. Co-Founder Dynamics: The importance of clear role separation, shared values, and leaving ego at the door. Timestamps 00:00 Intro: The anti-research research company 02:05 Waffle brain vs. spaghetti brain 03:54 The origin story at Grey 06:20 Taking off corporate guardrails 09:30 Carving a distinct agency path 11:42 Good Ques: Asking better questions 13:35 The 2020 pandemic pivot and TikTok 15:58 AI integration and industry innovation 20:53 Pitching enterprise clients 23:55 Creative research tweaks 25:10 The condom meme case study 29:26 Comfort with creative boundaries 31:32 Co-founder rules and motherhood 37:35 Remote culture and global teams 43:07 The respondent experience 46:26 What's next for Good Ques 47:24 Advice for new founders 49:32 Favorite quotes and business mantras Key Insights & Takeaways Insight 1: Invisibility Isn't a Content Problem—It's a Strategy Problem Traditional market research is bogged down by rigid, robotic phrasing that invites equally robotic, surface-level responses. When researchers focus entirely on extraction rather than the respondent's experience, they miss the underlying truth. Asking better questions requires designing an environment of psychological safety where people feel comfortable revealing their real behaviors. Insight 2: Creativity Belongs in Methodology, Not Just Execution Many corporate brands assume creativity only applies to advertising copy or visual design. True innovation happens when creativity is applied to the research methodology itself—using tools like creative drawing, changing the frame of reference to bypass social desirability bias, or even incorporating internet culture like memes to capture authentic consumer sentiment. Insight 3: AI Should Innovate the Output, Not Just the Assembly Line While many companies use generative AI simply to streamline traditional processes and speed up data collection, true market leaders use it to reimagine the final product. Technology should be leveraged to push beyond industry averages and discover entirely new frontiers of understanding rather than just producing faster mediocrity. Insight 4: Counterbalance Is the Anchor of a Strong Co-Founder Partnership A successful co-founder relationship relies on having complementary skill sets rather than duplicate visions. Pairing a structured, analytical mindset with a fluid, big-picture creative approach creates a resilient leadership team, provided there is absolute clarity in roles, deep mutual respect, and zero ego. Insight 5: Embrace Discomfort as a Metric for Growth Building a disruptive company requires a constant willingness to step outside the boundaries of convention. Whether it is pitching unconventional methodologies to skeptical executives, riding a bicycle across a bridge in freezing weather during a crisis, or pivoting business models overnight, treating discomfort as a sign of progress is essential for long-term survival. Blurb:   Daniel Tucker interviews Georgia Kotretsos about her work with the ΤΗΕ ΤΕΛΟΣ SOCIETY which is conceived of as a Arts & Culture Research Lab Observatorium with projects throughout Greece and beyond. This interview was conducted at the Twenty-First International Conference on the Arts in Society conference "Modeling Life Systems: Art, Algorithms, Ecologies" at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece.    Bio: Georgia Kotretsos is a visual artist, researcher, the founder of the nonprofit organization THE ΤΕΛΟΣ SOCIETY, Arts & Culture Research Lab Observatorium, in Athens, Greece and the publisher of TTS Press, which operates in the field of cultural studies and art research in Greece, the Balkans, the Mediterranean, and the Middle East. TTS focuses on the Greek periphery, the islands, and remote areas. It creates interdisciplinary teams tailored for each project, working collaboratively on site-specific intangible projects that uncover the unique aspects of each locale. TTS publications are available at the following bookstores: Politeia, Ianos, Museum of Cycladic Art, Iambos, Pixel, and Public (online). Through these endeavors, THE TEΛΟΣ SOCIETY highlights the importance of contemporary art and cultural heritage while fostering new creative perspectives and audiences. She holds an MFA in Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (USA, 2004), where she studied on a full merit-based scholarship, and a BFA from the Durban Institute of Technology in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa (2000), where she relocated as a teenager during the country's post-apartheid transition. Her work systematically critiques conventional theoretical positions on viewing and perceiving artworks, seeking—through liberatory and anarchic visual practices—to reveal that the experience of viewing is site-specific, and that the emancipation of the viewer is a crucial source of artistic knowledge. Her research-based approach—whether in the form of artwork, text, or interview—resists traditional forms and historical modes of acquiring knowledge, proposing alternative methodologies for its creation and reception. Her work has been presented both in Greece and internationally, including at the Onassis Art Center and the Asia Society in New York, the 4th Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art, the Tinguely Museum (Basel), La Kunsthalle (Mulhouse), the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art (Thessaloniki), and the Contemporary Art Museum of St. Louis. She has held seven solo exhibitions and participated in numerous significant international initiatives, including the 56th Venice Biennale, MediaImpact in Moscow, and FIELD MEETING in New York. From 2006 to 2010, she co-founded the independent art space Boots Contemporary Art Space in St. Louis, USA—an alternative contemporary art laboratory—and served as editor-in-chief of BootPrint, a biannual journal by and for artists. From 2009 to 2013, she served as a columnist for Art21 Magazine of PBS Arts Feature in New York, with her column Inside the Artist's Studio. In 2014, her writing was also published on LABKULTUR.TV in Germany. In 2019, Kotretsos published a report on the arts in Greece reflecting on the decade of recession 2008-18 entitled "Athens is the Only Cave in the World that has a Skylight" for the Field Journal in the US.  Her works are held in private collections, including the National Bank of Greece, the Mamidakis Foundation, and others. Chris Zaccarelli, chief investment officer at Northlight Asset Management, says he would not be surprised by the market taking a small pullback heading into the election, rallying after the voting is done, leaving the conversation for next year on whether the market is in a bubble and what could change its trajectory. Zaccarelli notes that the same forces that create booms — like artificial intelligence now, but every major technological advancement in the past — also leaves room for downturns and crashes. Zaccarelli notes that valuations are high, but earnings growth has been so big that it has held classic value measures like price/earnings ratios in check. "If it is a bubble," Zaccarelli says, "we don't think we're at the end yet," adding that investors should ride the wave while diversifying to prepare for its end. Freddie Smith, discusses his book, "Generation F*cked: How Millennials and Gen Z Were Robbed of the American Dream and How We Can Fix Our Futures," and how those younger generations should be responding personally and financially to the challenges that their age groups face as a society.  Chip Lupo, an analyst at WalletHub discusses the site's recent research into the best and worst places to retire, which covered more than 40 indicators of an area's level of "retirement-friendliness," from financial factors like tax rates and the cost of living to things like access to quality medical care and fun activities. While three of the top five cities for retiring were in Florida, but the top overall state for retirement was Wyoming, with Florida second and South Dakota third. Kentucky scored the worst among the 50 states.
