According to President Trump, he encouraged the Coca-Cola company to start using real sugar in their flagship product. This probably has nothing to do with the 2017 sugar trade deal and the 2025 restrictions on sugar imports from other countries, or rather the lifeline the White House just tossed Big Sugar. The announcement follows RFK Jr's advocacy of beef tallow for fast food and processed meals from Mom's Meals. It all makes sense considering the White House Chief of Staff is Susie Wiles, former lobbyist for Big Tobacco, the very industry which destroyed what was left of the possible benefits of processed foods. Ironically the President has also been diagnosed with CVI, which although not a serious health issue, indicates a lifestyle of little movement and poor diet. The White House and DOJ are also going along with an appeal from the EPA on the historic fluoride ruling last year by a federal court ordering the agency to address the risks of water fluoridation. In other words, it's business as usual. This is the new boss, who not only is the same as the old boss but much fatter too. *The is the FREE archive, which includes advertisements. “You will see LCC fleet sizes increasing, and you'll see them operating longer routes into East Asia, Central Asia and even into Eastern and Western Europe." More than 50% of available flight seats on any given day in South East Asia are provided by low-cost carriers (LCCs). Budget airlines have played a vital role in rebuilding regional air travel and tourism in ASEAN and Asia Pacific since the prolonged Covid border closures. Now, with ASEAN into its fourth year since reopening, LCCs are being emboldened to expand their route networks and stretch the geographic reach for passengers - with the help of advancements in aircraft technology and AI tools to improve operational efficiencies. This week, Gary is joined by Kuala Lumpur-based Shantanu Gangakedkhar, Senior Consultant, Aerospace & Defense, at Frost & Sullivan, to assess the outlook for low-cost air travel in South East Asia, North East Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East and beyond. En route, we discuss a range of pertinent issues from pricing and fierce market competition to air traffic management and the LCC market potential of South East Asia's tier-2 and tier 3 cities. Plus, we address the exit of Jetstar Asia from Singapore, ongoing aircraft supply chain challenges, and the current and potential impacts for the airline industry of US tariffs.

Key targets include NPR, foreign aid, and left-leaning NGOs. Backed by Senate Republicans and championed by former President Trump, the cuts are seen as a symbolic but strategic strike against bloated government and progressive institutions. As Speaker Mike Johnson signals more cuts ahead, this vote marks the opening salvo in a broader battle over the federal budget and America's political direction.

Matt Levine chats with Leo Laporte, a podcasting legend and founder of TWiT.tv, an Internet podcast network focusing on technology. They discuss the early days of podcasting, how tech media has shifted, and what it takes to stay relevant when trends change overnight. Learn how to grow a podcast that lasts, why niche matters more than ever, and what most creators get wrong about discovery and audience loyalty. Leo starts by explaining how he became tech radio's go-to guy. He loved being on-air, but didn't love the topics people expected from talk radio. So he carved out a space that let him dive into something he genuinely cared about—technology. Why Leo started a podcast network in 2005—before most people even knew what a podcast was. Leo explains what it was like being one of the first 10 podcasters in the world. Leo on the most important aspect of podcasting: “You need to know your audience. The more general a show is, the more difficult it is to promote it.” Leo explains just how easy it is to start a podcast today. All you need is a laptop and a mic. Unfortunately, this simplicity is both a blessing and a curse. Leo says the barrier to entry has never been lower. But that also means the space is noisy, crowded, and competitive. Starting is easy; being found is the real challenge. Leo highlights why discoverability—not content—is what kills most podcasts today. Even the best ideas can get buried if no one knows you exist. Matt asks if discoverability can be fixed—and Leo says yes. However, it's not about better SEO or thumbnails. It's about being on platforms that are built to make things go viral like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube. Leo shares how they post twice daily on all platforms and why short clips are key to long-term growth. You can't always track what's working, but you can see when momentum starts to build. Why the top 20 podcasts dominate half the ad revenue, and what that imbalance means for everyone else. If you're not already at the top, you're fighting over scraps. That's why niche, loyalty, and consistency matter for the smaller podcasters. Leo shares what COVID taught him about brand courage. The companies that kept showing up grew. Meanwhile, brands that pulled back lost their visibility and trust. Understand how podcast advertising has shifted away from consumer brands to niche B2B partners. Matt and Leo unpack why going niche is the smartest move a creator can make right now. Broad topics make it harder to build connection and loyalty. When you know exactly who you're talking to, they know exactly why they should listen. Specificity is your superpower. Leo explains why remote work weakens small teams in ways people often underestimate. Matt shares how remote teams can work—but it takes unnatural amounts of structure and intention. You can't just hope the culture will carry itself. You have to manufacture connections on purpose. Otherwise, people drift—even when they're online every day. Leo shares why AI isn't a threat to content creators, it's a tool to be used with intention. He's not worried about being replaced. He's more focused on how to integrate AI in ways that save time and amplify creativity. Leo's take on AI in podcasting, especially when it comes to editing and marketing. There are tools now that can help you clip, caption, and distribute without a huge team. The trick is knowing what job you're trying to solve. Not every tool fits every creator. Leo breaks down how the YouTube algorithm is shifting—and why short-form content is the next big opportunity. With TikTok facing pressure, YouTube is positioning Shorts as its successor. That means if you're a podcaster, creating short clips is a must. Why Leo believes chasing trends is a waste of energy—and what to do instead. If you stay true to what excites you, the trends eventually circle back. People can feel when something's authentic, and when that happens, attention follows. Leo on the future of podcasting—it won't be just audio anymore. Video, community, and personality are what people crave. For example, YouTube is where people are going right now. If you're not on it, you're missing where the next generation already is. Love to hear from you; “Send us a Text Message”What happens when the government tells churches to close their doors? During the pandemic, attorney Jeffrey Trissell found himself at the center of an unprecedented legal battle for religious freedom that would take him to the Supreme Court three times in a single year. The fight began when California implemented severe restrictions on religious gatherings while allowing "essential" businesses to operate with fewer limitations. As Trissell explains, the constitutional implications were profound: if hospitals remained open because they were "absolutely necessary," shouldn't worship—which believers consider essential to spiritual wellbeing—receive similar consideration? What makes Trissell's account particularly compelling is his perspective on courage in the face of pressure. Drawing inspiration from St. Thomas More, he reflects on how standing firm in one's convictions often means facing opposition not just from expected adversaries, but sometimes from friends, family, and even religious leaders. Get your copy Here! Research funded by the federal government has been crucial in many of the defining technologies of our time: the internet, A.I., crispr, Ozempic, and the mRNA vaccines first used widely in the COVID pandemic. Between 2010 and 2019, more than 350 drugs were approved in the United States, and virtually all of them could trace their roots to the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Now this administration is endangering our health by cutting funds to academic medical centers. Moreover, there are threats to Medicaid, as well as ongoing cuts to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Many universities have paused hiring due to the uncertainty at the NIH and are curtailing graduate programs. Biotech investors are warning of a contraction in medical innovation. NIH grants have been terminated on ideological grounds, which have resulted in clinical trials shutting down. Global health programs worldwide have been cut. A discussion on these destructive policies on medicine in our country is needed. About the Speaker Monica Gandhi M.D., M.P.H., is a professor of medicine and associate chief in the Division of HIV, Infectious Diseases, and Global Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She serves as the associate program director of the ID fellowship at UCSF. Her research focuses on HIV treatment and prevention optimization, HIV and women, adherence measurement in HIV and TB, adherence interventions, and on optimizing the use of long-acting antiretroviral therapy (ART). On this week's Talkhouse Podcast, we've got an absolute legend of the punk and indie-rock worlds in conversation with a relatively newer voice who's making some great music, too: Bob Mould and Will Anderson. Bob Mould got his start in the late 1970s with the Minneapolis-born punk / post-punk band Husker Du, a trio that was at the tip of the spear of incredible new sounds. After that band ran out of jet fuel in the late 1980s, Mould embarked on a solo career and also created the band Sugar, itself a touchstone outfit. Mould has released a total of 15 solo albums over the years, and there's not a dud in the bunch. His latest is a tuneful, melodic set of ragers called Here We Go Crazy, which he once again made with his ace rhythm section, Jon Wurster and Jason Narducy. He's toured a bunch in support of the record with those guys, but his next set of dates—in August and September, check bobmould.com for details—will find him playing solo-electric, which is also a powerful way to experience these songs. Check out the title track of Here We Go Crazy right here. The other half of today's conversation is Will Anderson, who's been making music for the past few years under the name Hotline TNT—sometimes by himself, sometimes with a rotating band of players. His first album under the name, Nineteen in Love, was recorded by himself during COVID, all in GarageBand. His third—and second for Jack White's Third Man Records—feels much more like a full-band affair: It's more fleshed out and expansive. Hotline TNT has frequently been called a shoegaze band, but it's a tag that Anderson is quick to refute, at least a little bit: In this conversation, he says that his shoegaze knowledge pretty much begins and ends with My Bloody Valentine. Whatever you call it, its swirls and layers feel pretty damn good right now. Check out a little bit of “Julia's War” from the latest Hotline TNT album, Raspberry Moon. In this great chat, Bob and Will talk about Bob's recent commencement speech at his alma mater and they also chat about the proper construction of an album, playing overseas for the first time, Bob's Super Bowl appearance and much more. Enjoy! Thanks for listening to the Talkhouse Podcast, and thanks to Will Anderson and Bob Mould for chatting. Today on Raise the Line, we bring you the unlikely and inspiring story of a woman who was afraid of blood as a child but became an accomplished nurse; who struggled with learning disabilities but became an effective educator; and who, despite lacking business experience or knowledge of graphics, built a successful company that produces visually rich educational materials for nurses and other providers. “I think the theme of my life has been I have struggled with learning, and I didn't want other people to struggle,” says Jennifer Zahourek, RN, the founder and CEO of RekMed which has developed a sequential, interactive learning system that includes illustrated planners, books, and videos used by millions of students and providers. The initial focus was to provide nurses with everything they needed to know from “the basics to the bedside” but RekMed now offers content for medics, respiratory therapists, medical assistants, and veterinarians as well. Driven by her belief in the power of visual learning and her “just freakin' do it” attitude, Jennifer overcame her fear of launching a business and quickly realized just how well nursing had prepared her for the hard work and unpredictability of entrepreneurship. “Nursing teaches you how to just be resilient, to pivot, to delegate, to work on a team and to handle high stress. I think nurses could literally be some of the best entrepreneurs on the planet,” she tells host Lindsey Smith. Tune in to this lively and valuable conversation as Jennifer shares lessons from bootstrapping a publishing company, insights on the evolving landscape of healthcare education, and advice on embracing change in nursing, especially with the expanding role of AI. Mentioned in this episode:RekMed If you like this podcast, please share it on your social channels. In this episode of Altered State, Zak “RedPill78” Paine and Ghost explore the battlefield of narrative control, exposing how media, government, and social engineering campaigns have flipped truth and fiction to keep the public in a state of confusion. They dissect Trump's declaration that the Epstein scandal is a “hoax,” suggesting it may be a deliberate move to derail psyops and reclaim the narrative. The hosts highlight the cyclical nature of psychological warfare, from Russiagate to COVID, and question whether major players like Alex Jones are still controlled opposition or being strategically used for public awakening. Discussions range from CIA propaganda techniques and Pentagon influence operations to the weaponization of sex crimes and the dangerous glamorization of spiritual inversion in pop culture. They also touch on the decaying credibility of mainstream journalism, the collapse of faith in public institutions, and the importance of discernment in a world built on inversion. Through it all, the message is clear: the real war isn't just physical or political, it's spiritual. This episode challenges listeners to take responsibility for what they consume, believe, and amplify in the fight for cultural and personal sovereignty.

The Voice Of GO(r)D podcast is very happy to bring you a discussion with former MIT Data Scientist Dr. David Correll, whose work within MIT FreightLab, a project of the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics, examines the mother of all problems in trucking, and the one that begets so many others, DETENTION.For non-truckers, detention is when trucks are held up for unreasonable amounts of time in the loading and unloading process at customer facilities. Some facility operators are notorious for this, and I have spent days trying to get certain things unloaded, and will share a particularly egregious example in the book I am writing on the fate of the North American Trucker in 2025. (see details below)Everyone remembers seeing footage of a hundred container ships waiting to be docked at the Port Of Long Beach/Los Angeles during Covid - imagine that this is what its like in many sectors of trucking, except it happens all the time, year in, year out, and has been this way since forever.Dr. Correll's research concludes, in his words, that America leaves “40% of its trucking capacity on the table every day” due to this pernicious and seemingly intractable problem, which is the proximate cause of -- Truck driver churn and retention issues- Speeding and aggressive driving behavior which pose a saftey hazard on our roads, and has resulted in the imposition of ELDs and other surveillance tech into the lives of truckers- Shippers being ghosted by carriers who find better facilities to work with- The wasting of millenia, yes, literally thousands of years worth of valuable human capital. Multiply all of the hours lost times millions of truckers times decades of this problem …. and its probably more than millenia.- An unnecessary drag on the resiliency of American supply chains. We had an interesting discussion that covers detention and then connects it to these other issues, and we also discuss possible solutions. You can read all about it at the following links -David's testimony to the Biden ‘Trucking Task Force' -https://www.congress.gov/117/meeting/house/114233/witnesses/HHRG-117-PW0Wstate-CorrellD-20211117.pdfDavid at Medium -https://medium.com/mitsupplychain/is-there-a-truck-driver-shortage-or-a-capacity-crisis-73a7d7a5bcbFrom MIT's own news site -https://news.mit.edu/2022/are-supply-chains-stuck-detention-0425Some FreightLabs research papers for your perusal -https://dspace.mit.edu/handle/1721.1/130093https://dspace.mit.edu/handle/1721.1/142935https://dspace.mit.edu/handle/1721.1/126383You can find Dr. Correll onlinehttps://www.linkedin.com/in/davidhccorrell/https://x.com/DavidHCCorrellPlease enjoy this musical interlude - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7kwFSp7yh4&list=RDc7kwFSp7yh4&start_radio=1I have written extensively about one of the solutions to this problem, and that solution has been sitting in Congress for 3 years, waiting to be acted upon. Yard Stick is pioneering the measurement of soil carbon, addressing one of the most invisible yet critical components of climate solutions. With $18 million in funding, the company has developed spectral measurement technology that quantifies soil carbon stocks at field level—unlocking the potential of agricultural systems that store many times more carbon than all plant and animal biomass combined. In this episode, we sat down with Chris Tolles, CEO and Co-Founder of Yard Stick, to explore how they're commercializing breakthrough soil science, navigating a skeptical market, and building trust in the emerging voluntary carbon market. Topics Discussed: The critical role of soil carbon in climate solutions versus traditional forest carbon storage Yard Stick's origin story during COVID-19 and meeting co-founders in a Slack group How the Department of Energy's Smart Farm program catalyzed soil carbon measurement technology The connection between agricultural feedstocks, biofuels, and carbon intensity measurements Building credibility in a scientifically skeptical field through academic publishing Marketing strategy centered on trust-building rather than traditional tech company approaches The challenge of creating a new market category for soil carbon measurement services GTM Lessons For B2B Founders: Lead with scientific credibility when entering skeptical markets: Chris made the deliberate decision to publish in Geoderma, the world's top soil science journal, despite the pain and slowness of academic publishing. He explains, "Because we're operating in an industry with so much suspicion around measurement and we're trying to make a claim that we're replacing an alternative existing mature measurement technology, I just didn't see a world in which I could sleep at night without the rigor that scientific publishing represents." B2B founders entering fields with established scientific communities should prioritize credibility over speed, especially when challenging existing measurement standards. Be radically transparent about limitations to build trust: Rather than overselling capabilities, Yard Stick proactively discloses their technology's current limitations. Chris notes, "I think we are way above average, candid about the opportunity and the limitations of our technology with our customers... just like put your liabilities on the table. Then when a customer does say yes, despite those risks, you're all on the same page about what to expect." This approach is particularly powerful in technical fields where customers have sophisticated evaluation capabilities. Participate authentically in existing industry establishments: Instead of positioning as disruptors, Yard Stick actively participates in traditional soil science conferences and communities. Chris emphasizes, "We go to the Soil Science Society of America's annual meeting, we present there, we have real scientists present there. Being able to hang on their terms is important." B2B founders should consider how to earn credibility within existing professional communities rather than trying to bypass them entirely. Focus on enabling customer success rather than fighting competitors: Chris takes a "big tent" approach to the climate solutions space, refusing to position against other carbon removal technologies. He explains, "I see a lot of people in the soil ecosystem fight for their teeny little sliver of airtime by talking down to engineered solutions... I think that's a waste of time because we need all of these solutions to be successful in order for the whole ecosystem to grow." This collaborative positioning helps expand the overall market opportunity. Build your go-to-market strategy around regulatory tailwinds: Yard Stick's timing aligned perfectly with Department of Energy initiatives to reduce carbon intensity in agricultural feedstocks. Chris explains how they capitalized on the DOE's Smart Farm program, which recognized the need for field-level emissions measurement. B2B founders should identify regulatory or policy drivers that create urgency for their solutions and align their market entry accordingly.   //   Sponsors: Front Lines — We help B2B tech companies launch, manage, and grow podcasts that drive demand, awareness, and thought leadership. www.FrontLines.io The Global Talent Co. — We help tech startups find, vet, hire, pay, and retain amazing marketing talent that costs 50-70% less than the US & Europe.  www.GlobalTalent.co   //   Don't Miss: New Podcast Series — How I Hire Senior GTM leaders share the tactical hiring frameworks they use to build winning revenue teams. The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (07/16/2025): 3:05pm- In a post to Truth Social, President Donald Trump wrote: “The Radical Left Democrats have hit pay dirt, again! Just like with the FAKE and fully discredited Steele Dossier, the lying 51 ‘Intelligence' Agents, the Laptop from Hell, which the Dems swore had come from Russia (No, it came from Hunter Biden's bathroom!), and even the Russia, Russia, Russia Scam itself, a totally fake and made up story used in order to hide Crooked Hillary Clinton's big loss in the 2016 Presidential Election, these Scams and Hoaxes are all the Democrats are good at - It's all they have - They are no good at governing, no good at policy, and no good at picking winning candidates. Also, unlike Republicans, they stick together like glue. Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bullshit,' hook, line, and sinker. They haven't learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years. I have had more success in 6 months than perhaps any President in our Country's history, and all these people want to talk about, with strong prodding by the Fake News and the success starved Dems, is the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax. Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats' work, don't even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don't want their support anymore! Thank you for your attention to this matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” 3:30pm- - Sen. Dave McCormick—United States Senator from Pennsylvania—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to recap yesterday's successful Energy & Innovation Summit where CEOs from some of the biggest tech companies in the country pledged to invest $92 billion in Pennsylvania, much of which will go towards energy infrastructure allowing for the domestic development of artificial intelligence. 3:45pm- While speaking to the press on Wednesday, President Donald Trump said that people claiming his administration is preventing the release of Jeffrey Epstein files are being “foolish.” 4:05pm- On Wednesday, New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani visited with several Democratic members of Congress—including Reps. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Andre Carson, and Pramila Jayapal. While speaking with the press, Carter downplayed Mamdani's past calls to “globalize the intifada.” Carter suggested that some people use the phrase “symbolically.” 4:40pm- Matt says “F1” starring Brad Pitt is the best movie he has seen all year—which might be the least crazy thing he has said in a while. PLUS, Donald Trump reveals that he has successfully petitioned Coca-Cola to use sugarcane in their U.S. products. 5:05pm- According to new polling, Republican candidate for Governor of New Jersey Jack Ciattarelli trails Democratic candidate Mikie Sherril by only 5-points! 5:10pm- In February, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy bragged to an audience about shielding an undocumented migrant from deportation by allowing her to live in his home. Happy Wednesday, Heal Squad! We're back with Dr. William Makis for part two of this powerful conversation… and it's one you don't want to miss. If you or someone you love is facing cancer, autoimmune disease, or neurological decline, this episode could shift everything. Dr. Makis shares what he's seeing firsthand in his clinical practice–real stories of patients with stage 4 cancer, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, even Parkinson's and Alzheimer's—experiencing surprising results with repurposed drugs like ivermectin and mebendazole. He breaks down how and why these low-cost, off-label options are working when nothing else does. We also dive into why many autoimmune symptoms are actually rooted in immune dysregulation, and the real reason alternative  solutions are being ignored (and who's behind it) If you've ever felt like the system isn't giving you the full story, you need to hear this. HEALERS & HEAL-LINERS:  Hormone disruption is on the rise. Testosterone levels are plummeting in men, while women are reporting irregular periods and fertility issues,  and it's not being taken seriously by most doctors. Autoimmune symptoms may be misdiagnosed: Many “mystery” symptoms like fatigue, joint pain, and brain fog are immune system red flags. Repurposed drugs are helping people heal. Medications like ivermectin and LDN (low-dose naltrexone) are being used off-label to reduce inflammation, regulate immune responses, and support recovery from long COVID and chronic illness. -- HEAL SQUAD SOCIALS IG: https://www.instagram.com/healsquad/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@healsquadxmaria HEAL SQUAD RESOURCES: Heal Squad Website:https://www.healsquad.com/ Heal Squad x Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/HealSquad/membership Maria Menounos Website: https://www.mariamenounos.com My Curated Macy's Page: Shop My Macy's Storefront Prenuvo: Prenuvo.com/MARIA for $300 off Delete Me: https://bit.ly/43rkHwi   code: SQUAD EMR-Tek Red Light: https://emr-tek.com/discount/Maria30 for 30% off Airbnb: https://www.airbnb.com/  Join In-Person Heal Retreat Waitlist! https://mariamenounos.myflodesk.com/heal-retreat-waitlist GUEST RESOURCES:  Instagram Good resources for Ivermectin and Mebendazole are: https://allfamilypharmacy.com/makis/ (CODE MAKIS25) For Fenbendazole: https://shopbplife.com?sca_ref=8426171.Rn4pU8ZWgs5W  (CODE: MAKIS15) For anyone wanting more information on how Ivermectin, fenbendazole, and mebendazole works, or need dosing protocols, connect with Dr. Makis makisw79@yahoo.com Or visit his Substack makismd.substack.com ABOUT MARIA MENOUNOS: Emmy Award-winning journalist, TV personality, actress, 2x NYT best-selling author, former pro-wrestler and brain tumor survivor, Maria Menounos' passion is to see others heal and to get better in all areas of life.
