(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Pastor arrested for refusing to apologize for objecting to Drag Queen story hour Canadian Pastor Derek Reimer was arrested on December 3rd for refusing to write an apology letter to a Calgary, Alberta library manager for telling her that a library-sponsored drag queen story time event for children was misguided. At the time of Reimer's arrest, Artur Polawski, a Canadian-Polish preacher who previously spoke out against Canada's COVID lockdown, made this comment to the policemen. POLAWSKI: “You know why you're arresting this man for? He refused to apologize for his religious conviction. Are you aware of that?” POLICE OFFICER: “Thank you.” During Reimer's application to vary the conditions of his year-long house arrest sentence, which ends next month, he did not comply with a controversial court order, requiring him to write a letter of apology to Saddletowne Library manager Shannon Slater, reports Rebel News. The letter was due on November 28. Slater is the woman Reimer was convicted of alleged “criminally harassing” simply for explaining to her, on camera for 90 seconds, that drag-themed story hours for little kids, featuring men dressed like grotesque caricatures of women with big wigs and gaudy makeup, leads to the sexual grooming of children. REIMER: “They wanted me to apologize for that, and I won't apologize for it.” Reimer, who leads Mission 7 Ministries in Calgary, has insisted he cannot in good conscience apologize for warning about the drag event — an event aimed at kids and known in Calgary as “Reading With Royalty.” Reimer represented himself in court during his appearance. His submissions regarding his Canadian Charter right to freedom of religious expression and liberty of conscience were not accepted by Justice Karen Molle, who ruled them irrelevant to his application. REIMER: “It was such a travesty of justice today. It was such an egregious display of behavior through this justice where she wouldn't even let me finish my submissions. She walked out halfway through my submissions. “When she came back, I didn't even have an opportunity for rebuttal. She didn't want to hear me. I asked her, respectfully, ‘Do I have an opportunity to share the rest of my submissions?' and she says, ‘Well, I've deemed them irrelevant.'” At a prayer vigil outside Derek Reimer's jail cell, one woman expressed her anger over the injustice to him, his wife Mona, and their young son. LADY: “A man like Derek can go to the library, have a 90-second conversation with somebody, and then, all of a sudden, he gets arrested because he refuses to apologize for his Christian conviction. “This is a persecution of Christianity and Christians. This is a target to the Bible and God. This is good vs. evil. They want us to call evil good and good evil. [Isaiah 5:20] We cannot do it. They're going to continue to round up good men in society. “I'm Canadian. I was born in Canada. Ice runs through my veins, but the fire of God burns in my heart. And I want every Canadian to remember, as cold as it gets out here, it is our duty to go out and stand for the rights of the people who need it, like Derek.” The Democracy Fund is providing legal defense for Pastor Derek Reimer, who was assaulted, and then absurdly fined and arrested, while peacefully protesting the Drag Queen Story Time. Samaritan's Purse plane hijacked in Sudan A Samaritan's Purse plane carrying medical supplies to South Sudan was hijacked by an armed man earlier this week, reports The Christian Post. At the time, the Cessna Grand Caravan plane, that operates exclusively in Africa, was en route to Maiwut, South Sudan, to deliver medicine to a mobile medical unit. The hijacker has been identified as Yasir Mohammed Yusuf.  He wore a fake reflective vest with the logo of an air charter company with operations at the airport, snuck aboard the plane, and hid in the rear cabin before takeoff. He demanded to be flown to another Central African country, Chad. After circling for several hours, the pilot told the hijacker that the plane was low on fuel and landed at Wau Airport, where Yusuf was taken into custody. A spokesman for Samaritan's Purse said, “We praise God that no one was seriously injured.” Supreme Court upholds new Texas Congressional map Late Thursday night, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the newly redrawn U.S. Congressional map in Texas which is expected to increase Republican representation in Texas's U.S. House delegation, reports The Epoch Times. The court's new unsigned order in League of United Latin American Citizens v. Abbott was issued over the dissents of Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, and Ketanji Jackson. Justice Samuel Alito filed an opinion concurring in the order. Justices Clarence Thomas and Neil Gorsuch joined that concurrence. In August, Texas adopted a new congressional map. Republicans currently hold 25 of the state's 38 seats in the House of Representatives. Under the new map, Republicans hope to win up to 30 of those 38 seats, reports the Supreme Court blog. The League of United Latin American Citizens challenged the map, falsely claiming that it was the product of unconstitutional racial gerrymandering. Justice Alito does not claim that the Supreme Court is definitively endorsing the 2025 Texas map's legality on the merits.  But he does assert that (a) The impetus for the map was partisan, not racial and (b) The lower court misapplied the proper standard of review. Eight states could vote on abortion in 2026 And finally, pro-life advocates are bracing for a pivotal battle in 2026 as voters in eight states prepare to weigh in on ballot measures that could either safeguard legal protections for the pre-born or create a fake right to kill babies by abortion, reports LifeNews.com. In Missouri, the pro-life “Amendment 3” would prohibit most abortions while allowing exceptions for medical emergencies, fatal fetal anomalies, and cases of rape or incest within the first 12 weeks. Nevada's “Question 6,” certified after passing its first vote in 2024, returns for a required second approval to embed a “fundamental right to abortion” in the state constitution until fetal viability—typically around 21 weeks. In Idaho, the “Reproductive Freedom and Privacy Measure,” is aiming to overturn the state's abortion ban by establishing a so-called “right to abortion.” Montana's proposed “Definition of Person Amendment,” seeks to amend the state constitution to define a “person” as beginning at fertilization or conception, effectively granting legal protections to the preborn. Nebraska's potential “Establish Personhood of Preborn Children Amendment,” is in the early stages of the ballot qualification process to define a preborn child as a person in the state constitution, effectively banning abortion from conception with limited exceptions. In Oregon, with a signature deadline in July 2026, abortion advocates are circulating petitions to amend the state constitution by affirming a right to kill babies by abortions. Virginia's “Right to Reproductive Freedom Amendment” advances toward a second vote in the 2026 session to embed a “right to reproductive freedom” in the state constitution. This would allow abortions up to birth in Virginia. Green stuck with LeBaron until his death in 1996. On his deathbed, LeBaron reportedly did not name a clear successor but charged both Tom Green and Jerry Barlow to carry on his work. Green leveraged this instruction, claiming he had received higher temple ordinances from Ross, thereby being “anointed and appointed”. Green briefly formed a group spanning the late 1990s into the early 2000s, attempting to unite Ross's followers under his leadership. Green achieved notoriety by making numerous radio and television appearances about polygamy, frequently showcasing his plural family. Tom Green’s Prison Sentence However, his public profile led to his downfall when it was discovered that one of his wives was underage. The state of Utah prosecuted him for child polygamy and welfare fraud, seemingly intending to “make an example of him,” particularly because of his media exposure. Green was convicted in 2002 of child rape and served a prison sentence, which lasted five years. He was released on parole on August 7, 2007. After his incarceration, his group largely fell apart. Attempts at Succession Tom Green sought community, particularly as his children grew and needed partners for marriage. He decided to join the Kingston Group, viewing them as a successful example of a united order and plural marriage, noting their economic success in business despite negative press. He maintained, however, that he never recanted the authority he had received from Ross LeBaron. Green remained on parole for at least 14 years before dying from COVID-19 at age 72 on February 28, 2021. Green represents one of several factions that emerged after LeBaron's death, alongside the independents and the group led by Fred Collier. LeBaron’s mission centered on ordaining patriarchs and establishing a patriarchal pattern, an effort that continues today through independent groups and men who trace their authority back to Ross and Tom Green. Fred Collier, another key figure who worked closely with Ross (the religious innovator) as the one who “wrote it up” and added stability through systematization, also claimed succession after separating from Ross in 1983. Tom was one of the best known polygamists in the early 2000’s due to his quest for publicity. It is likely the reason that other fundamentalists avoid publicity, as they see that it often brings more trouble than it is worth. In this episode of Act Three, I sit down with the brilliant and endlessly thoughtful Rishad Tobaccowala—author, futurist, speaker, and longtime global strategist—to talk about what it really takes to build a vibrant next chapter. Rishad spent nearly four decades at Publicis Group, eventually becoming Chief Strategist and Chief Growth Officer. But his most interesting work, in many ways, began after he left corporate life and stepped into what he calls his "company of one." We talk about:

I'd like to think I'm someone who was always into the future stuff, you know? The science of Star Trek and what we'd eventually develop with technology and all of that stuff you think about as a kid watching your sci-fi or reading about the future. I was always hopeful we'd get to a point where I could really think we took some steps into making that sci-fi stuff a reality – but like, the good kind. We got there a few times. Moon landing being one of them and video phone conversations. There's plenty to point at and be amazed. But then there's AI. I won't go into the pros and cons of the tech – there's layers and layers deep of conversation to be had on that subject, philosophical or otherwise. But to just step back and look at the ripple effect of it…that's a little disheartening. There's many examples I could point to, but for the purpose of this show, it's the current prices of RAM that is just bonkers crazy with how prices have skyrocketed. It started in Covid times when people started to work from home and needed more PCs which meant more RAM. So the companies made more. Too much, actually and we had a good surplus of it. Prices were pretty great. Now we have AI and companies are snatching up all they can. Because we were in a surplus, we now find ourselves with low quantities due to all the AI companies grabbing all they can where they can. And the prices are ridiculous. Much more so, the RAM makers are starting to skip over regular consumer RAM and selling ONLY to the big tech companies. And at the risk of sounding all conspiracy theorists, the government is involved in this as well. Like, I'd say the rabbit hole goes deep, but it really doesn't. Mainly because it isn't being hidden anymore. And the more you look into it the more depressing it becomes because it absolutely shows no sign of stopping anytime soon. An AI bubble burst is the hope, but we don't know if that'll ever happen and, worse yet, if there's a chance of it happening, it is WAY off in the distant future. A lot of it feels like it's just going to get worse before it even slightly gets better. For now, I hope you're satisfied with the power of your PC, laptop, phone, watch, console, and any other device using RAM, because making upgrades to your PC or getting any of those other devices in the very near future is going to cost far more than it does now. Ubisoft, in the time since you've announced a Splinter Cell remake, your original director on the project left and has now returned. And we're still nowhere close to a release. A remake isn't even a part of the deal here but it's been so long I might make an exception. It has been 4,493 days since a new Splinter Cell game (non-animated series or guest spot in another game franchise, remake, BBC radio drama, or VR exclusive) was released. Also, there's been 5,300 job losses in the gaming industry since January 1, 2025.

It was bad enough when Disney bought Fox, Star Wars, and Marvel. Now, Netflix will be among the most powerful corporate monopolies, replacing what Hollywood used to be.America gave up on Hollywood because Hollywood gave up on America. The result is empty movie theaters all over the country—one bomb after another. Of course, Warner Bros. knew. You'd have to be an idiot not to know. Does anyone think Netflix is sweating the online memes accusing it of being too woke? No, they aren't. They are making too much money to care. With streaming, there is no free market pressure, no quality control. You don't have to motivate people to leave their homes. You don't need big stars to drive box office, and best of all, you can ignore the silent majority that has tuned you out long ago. Hate the trans agenda being shoved down everyone's throat? Too bad. Your boycotts are a drop in the bucket at Netflix. It's the perfect solution to Hollywood's problem. They can have everything they want — a virtue signaling paradise — and never have to worry about big budgets or low box office ever again. That's the easy way out. The truth is harder to swallow. They destroyed themselves. They wrecked their brand and alienated their audience. Hollywood built a ship of failure when it split into two divergent paths around 2003, after the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings franchises brought in ungodly profits not just here but around the world. The branding was the key, the IPs. For years, they dominated the global box office and brought people to movie theaters across the country.Meanwhile, in the other Hollywood, in the “prestige” niche lane where the Oscars live, things began to get smaller, more isolated, more aligned with politics, especially under Barack Obama. His win influenced almost everything, as he loves to put out his top-ten lists every year and even has a deal with Netflix. These two Hollywoods existed side by side like the First Class section of the airplane vs. Coach, where they “let them eat Marvel.” You can see the rise and fall in one image, from Box Office Mojo:This year might mean that, for the first time since 2020, China will dominate the Worldwide box office rather than Hollywood, unless Jim Cameron can bring Avatar: Fire and Ash over the 2 billion mark.In 2019, Hollywood put out over 900 movies. Last year, just 624, and many of them bombed. So what happened? 2020 happened. The one-two punch of COVID and the Great Awokening brought Hollywood to its knees. The Oscar race this year is loaded with unwatchable movies that swirl around things almost no one outside the bubble of Hollywood cares about, identity mainly. Mothers' caterwauling their oppression, like Die, My Love, If I had Legs I'd Kick You, and even One Battle After Another feature women who seem to hate their children. The people who run Hollywood are still mostly rich white men, but they must always genuflect, with women or people of color as shields to protect them from accusations of sexism or racism by the mob online. The rise of female directors who get these jobs for no other reason except that they're female has transformed a once-great industry into a DEI film school. Every couple is interracial. Every movie must have significant actors of color. The GLAAD lobby demands representation everywhere. Why would anyone want to pay money to have them shove their ideology down our throats?Success doesn't even matter to them. That they project “goodness” is all they care about now, their status inside utopia. The EndAs I drive across this country, I sometimes see a multiplex in a mall. It looks as deserted to me as the old drive-ins once did, and I can't help but think this really is the end for movie theaters. They'll go the way of the record store, limited to enthusiasts in the big cities. Everyone else will numbly scroll through Netflix for whatever they can find, but it will never have the same cultural impact as a great movie when we're all under one roof, sharing a story.It's yet more separation, more isolation, more internet, more social media, less of what we all need as a society.“The Future is Coming, and You Aren't In It”After COVID ended for rational Americans, we all wondered whether people would return to the movies. The paranoid mask-wearing Liberals did not. Even Peggy Noonan noticed.In 2022, a miracle arrived in the form of Tom Cruise starring in Top Gun: Maverick. It made so much money that it wiped clean the argument that Hollywood was over and movie theaters were dying. Although it was nominated for Best Picture, it lost to the woke screed, Everything Everywhere All At Once. That was a sign that Hollywood was not ready for the iceberg right ahead.The following year showed promise, with “Barbenheimer,” “Oppenheimer,” and “Barbie” becoming cultural sensations on TikTok. The Oscars did the right thing and gave their awards to Oppenheimer. Though things seem to be moving in the right direction, it's too little, too late. Audiences don't trust Hollywood anymore, and I can't blame them. Of all the Warner Bros. movies that were successful this year, the Oscar will likely go to the anti-ICE, pro-ANTIFA, anti-Trump rallying cry, One Battle After Another. No film in recent memory has better captured the singular worldview of the progressive Left.As Curtis Yarvin wrote for The Spectator:Fundamentally, One Battle is a religious film. It is entirely set in the fantasy landscape of the great American religion, progressivism, the 20th-century evolution of our ancient Puritan tradition. If you are a true believer, imagine watching Battlefield Earth without being a Scientologist. For non-progressives, One Battle may be necessary viewing. It displays the interior landscape of the narcissistic narrative of our world's dominant cult of power. We seldom get to strap a GoPro to the inside of a lib's forehead. And he continues:So this film is out there – recruiting damaged people by presenting them as romantic heroes in a propaganda fantasy. Few will kill. But many will clap. When bad movies succeed, as One Battle will, they diagnose something bad in the audiences they entertain. Corrupt art is the pathognomonic mark of a corrupt society. Shitty people will watch this shitty film, and love it. Shitty journalists have already given it a standing ovation – the politics makes them hard, like Lockjaw. This evil is at the very heart of our culture.As Leonard Cohen noted: “I have seen the future, brother. It is murder.” Murder is as old as Cain. The anonymous internet is young. Nobody asked for the combination. But they'll get it.So, of course, the critics have gone nuts for it. It IS religious for them. It's already won many awards and is on track to win Best Picture. Trust me, Hollywood has no desire to save itself. One Battle After Another cost upwards of $140 million and only made $70 million in the US, with the bulk of its profits made overseas on Leonardo DiCaprio's name, which is why it's assumed he demanded his usual fee of $20 million. Old Hollywood understood that you don't reward failure with film awards. New Hollywood cares less about the money and more about the message. The public used to matter because the box office did. No wonder WB is selling out after watching one bomb after another this past year. Why wait for bankruptcy? Why not cash out now on a high note?This is the kind of thing Hollywood pumps out now:And therein lies the problem. They forgot it wasn't about them. They believed their own publicity. They fell in love with their own image, like Narcissus. They began to believe they were important. We loved movies and celebrities for what they gave us, not for who they are. We don't care. We don't need them to fix us. Or teach us. Or lecture us. Or scold us. We just need them to entertain us. Well, now the billionaires have arrived to prove to them how little they matter when it comes to the bottom line. And if you think that's bad, wait until the AI tsunami wipes out half the industry. The audience was always their best hope for survival. As long as we showed up, Hollywood and its stars had power. Now that audiences have vanished, well, the ship is made of iron, and it will sink.Who knows, maybe Congress or Trump can stop the merger. That still won't fix the fundamental problem of what Hollywood has become and why the public turned away. On the upside, the giant hole Hollywood leaves behind, like the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs, might open up movie theaters to a new breed of filmmaker. Maybe they can make movies Hollywood or Netflix never would - trashy comedies, cheap horror, romantic comedies, Dirty Harry movies. Who knows, maybe we can Make Hollywood Great Again.
