Hey y'all ! Welcome to another Friday with CWCOI ! In this week's episode, our host, Ally Yost talks about how our God hears every single one of our prayers and that His timing is perfect. It is in our faith that we trust the works of Jesus and all that He does in our lives. We also read the book of Luke and take time to reflect and dive deeper as we read along together. "For we live by believing and not by seeing." 2 Corinthians 5:7 _____________________________________________ ☆ For 45% off your first order and free delivery go to ➤ MarleySpoon.com/offer/Coffee ☆ Find your purpose at Grand Canyon University ➤ GCU.edu ☆ Subscribe to "The Christ" podcast now ➤ https://thechristpodcast.com ☆ REP CWCOI MERCH ➤ https://allyyost.com  ☆ MY BIBLE (code 'ALLYYOST' at checkout) ➤ https://hosannarevival.com/collections/beautiful-bibles/products/nlt-notetaking-bible-versailles-theme  ☆ TUMBLER LINK ➤ https://allyyost.com/products/travel-tumbler _____________________________________________ Connect further with us ! Over time, she realized that study skills alone were too narrow. What people really need are learning strategies that take attention, memory, time, well-being, and emotional capacity into account. In this episode, Tracy and Deena talk about why sleep matters for learning, how chunking tasks can reduce overwhelm, why learning styles are a myth, and how tools like NotebookLM, Magic To Do, and ChatGPT's study mode can support ADHD brains. If learning has ever felt harder than it should, this conversation is a reminder that struggling does not mean you are not smart. Is this what my life is going to feel like?" My life wasn't terrible. I had people I loved, a roof over my head, and a career that mattered. But I wasn't enjoying any of it. I was enduring it. Looking back, I realized I was in a completely conditional relationship with my own life. And that's what we're talking about today – because I think so many women are doing exactly what I was doing: postponing the enjoyment of their own lives. Here's what we cover: • Why so many women are in a conditional relationship with their lives – and what it quietly costs them • Why challenges aren't proof that life is off track, but part of the texture of a meaningful life • The shift from chasing "there" to making here the destination • How small daily choices can take you from enduring your life to actively engaging with it • The self-image shift that helps you become the woman who enjoys her life now, not someday Did you enjoy this episode? Life After Being a Cop: Recovering from Trauma. After 30 years of law enforcement, he thought he had retired unscathed. A veteran of the Suffolk County Police Department and the Atlanta Police Department, he spent decades responding to emergencies, witnessing trauma, and putting his life on the line. Yet even after leaving the force, the weight of his experiences lingered. The Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast social media like their Facebook , Instagram , LinkedIn , Medium and other social media platforms. Mike Morgan is our guest. “I thought I was done with all the trauma,” Mike says. “I thought I got out unscathed. But it all started catching up with me after retirement, especially that call about the 2-year-old child who drowned.” The Podcast is available for free on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast website, also on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube and most major podcast platforms. A Life-Altering Call The call that shook Mike the most involved a young child who had drowned. He was able to save the child, but the emotional impact stayed with him. As he explains, “Saving that child was one of the most rewarding things I've done, but it also brought back all the other moments in my career that I hadn't fully processed.” Life After Being a Cop: Recovering from Trauma. Supporting articles about this and much more from Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast in platforms like Medium , Blogspot and Linkedin . Drowning remains a leading risk for children under 5. According to recent studies: 87% of drowning fatalities occur in home pools or hot tubs, often when children sneak outside unattended. Highest risk group: Children aged 1–4, with backyard pools as the primary location for fatal drownings. Silent danger: Drowning is fast and silent, rarely involving splashing or screaming. Mike emphasizes, “Swimming pools may look safe, but kids can slip away in seconds. Even the most attentive parent can't always see it happen.” The episode is available across major platforms including their website, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, with highlights shared across their Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn profiles. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) studied drownings among children age 4 and under in Arizona, California, and Florida, where pools are common. It found nearly 70% of children were not expected to be in the water, and 46% were last seen inside the house. Essential safety measures include four-sided fencing, pool alarms, locked doors, and constant adult supervision. Life After Being a Cop: Recovering from Trauma. Recognizing PTSD Even after retirement, Mike realized he was struggling with symptoms of PTSD. “I was listening to a podcast one day and thought, ‘This is me,'” he says. “I was having everything the experts describe, but I hadn't acknowledged it yet.” Police officers face a particularly high risk of PTSD due to frequent exposure to traumatic events. Studies estimate prevalence rates up to 20%, roughly double that of the general population. Symptoms often stem from cumulative stress, fatal accidents, officer-involved shootings, and repeated exposure to violence, leading to flashbacks, insomnia, and even suicidal thoughts. Available for free on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast website, also on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Youtube and most major Podcast networks. As Mike explains, “It's not always one single traumatic event. It's the buildup over time, the constant stress, the repeated exposure to tragedy. That's what hits you when you retire and finally have time to think.” Life After Being a Cop: Recovering from Trauma. Key facts from research: Police Officers experience an average of 3.5 traumatic incidents every six months. One in seven officers worldwide suffers from PTSD or depression, with 15–18% meeting diagnostic criteria. Stressors include violent incidents, exposure to death, and organizational pressures. Symptoms and Behavioral Impacts PTSD can affect every aspect of life: Physical: Fatigue, insomnia, chest pain, nausea Emotional & Behavioral: Anxiety, withdrawal, paranoia, rage, increased substance use Job Impact: Poor performance, missed work, strained family relationships “PTSD isn't just a badge issue,” Mike says. “It follows you home. It affects your health, your family, and your ability to enjoy life after the force.” Life After Being a Cop: Recovering from Trauma. Look for The Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast on social media like their Facebook , Instagram , LinkedIn , Medium and other social media platforms. Recovery and Support Mike credits therapy, medicine, peer support, and community for helping him recover. Evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy are highly effective. Departments that promote open discussions and mental health support can reduce the stigma and help officers seek treatment. Now living in Florida He shares his journey on The Resilient Warrior podcast and the book he wrote titled The Resilient Warrior. “The podcast is my way of giving back and showing other officers and anyone struggling with trauma, that recovery is possible,” he says. 131: The Best and Worst Plants to Eat on an Animal-Based Diet (And How to Prepare Them)

    The Primal Shift

Play Episode Listen Later Mar 18, 2026 33:26

Most people who start an animal-based diet assume the goal is to eliminate every plant from the plate. I get it: when you've spent years being told kale is a superfood and you finally learn it's loaded with oxalates and goitrogens, the pendulum swings hard. It did for me. But the blanket "plants are bad" framing leaves a lot on the table. Plants aren't health foods. They don't want to be eaten, and they evolved with chemical defenses to discourage exactly that. Our dietary foundation at the Kummer household remains meat, organs, eggs, dairy and bone broth, and most of our calories come from animal sources. The question is whether certain plants, chosen carefully and prepared properly, can earn a supporting role. In this episode, I lay out a practical four-tier framework for thinking about plants on an animal-based diet: which ones you can eat freely, which work in moderation, which to approach with caution, and which to leave behind entirely. Ripe, low-seed fruits like berries, avocados, olives and coconut sit at the top of the list. They have minimal toxin load, and in the case of sweet fruit, the plant actually wants you to eat it. Peeled and deseeded vegetables like squash and zucchini come next, since removing the skin and seeds removes most of the antinutrient burden. Tubers can work well when peeled, cooked, and ideally fermented — we do ours in a 2.5% saline solution for a few days, which lowers both the glycemic index and the antinutrient count. On the other end, kale, spinach and chard are some of the worst offenders. Their oxalate levels are high, and unlike most other antinutrients, oxalates can't be reduced through any known preparation method. Grains are similarly problematic, though properly fermented sourdough — made at home over several days — can degrade a significant portion of the gluten and phytates. Where a plant lands in those tiers depends on its antinutrient concentration, whether preparation can neutralize the worst offenders, your individual gut and metabolic health, and how much you're eating and how often. I can have sourdough once a week without noticing anything negative. But if I eat it every day, I definitely notice. Peppers I tolerate surprisingly well. Raw dairy — which most animal-based influencers swear by — I can't do at all. My skin breaks out, I get bloated, and my body odor changes. Cut out dairy and I don't need deodorant. The question isn't whether to eat plants or not — it's which ones, how much, and how prepared. Plants play a supporting role, and you tier your choices by toxin load, preparation, and how your own body responds. Power doesn't come from pushing harder. It comes from getting quieter.  In this episode of Intuition: Your Joy Compass, I challenge the idea that urgency equals productivity. So much of what we hear in business culture says you have to hustle, push, and stay in constant motion to succeed. But in my experience as a coach, and in my own life, that kind of pressure often disconnects us from our intuition, our clarity, and our real authority.  I share how slowing down has actually led to better decisions, better outcomes, and surprisingly, my most successful year in business. From waiting for the right bonded pair of rescue cats to appear, to releasing pressure around revenue goals and working fewer client hours, these choices created more alignment, not less success.  We'll talk about how pushing the nervous system leads to resistance, burnout, and "saboteur" reactions, and how calm leadership, both with ourselves and with others, creates stability and trust. I also introduce simple Positive Intelligence practices, like sensory grounding "PQ reps," that help interrupt stress patterns and bring the brain back to clarity and innovation.  If you've been told you need to hustle harder, this episode offers a different perspective: sometimes the most powerful move is to pause, regulate your nervous system, and lead from calm.

What if the secret to better health and a stronger community was as simple as a jar of local honey? In this episode of Becoming Wildly Resilient, health coach Amy Rodquist-Kodet explores the "quiet resilience" found in our food systems.Following a conversation with Kristi Durbin from the UK Organic Farming Unit, Amy dives into the research behind nutrient density, the economic impact of supporting local farmers, and the emotional connection we build when we know where our food comes from. Whether you have a sprawling backyard or a single pot on a balcony, this episode offers three practical, low-pressure ways to bring your food a little closer to home.Key Takeaways:The Freshness Factor: Research suggests some produce loses 15–70% of its nutrients within a week of harvest. Local food reaches your plate faster and more nutrient-dense.The 16-Cent Reality: Out of every dollar spent on industrial food, farmers typically receive only 16 cents. Buying local keeps more of those dollars in your immediate community.Equity in Access: Acknowledging that local food isn't always accessible to everyone, and highlighting programs like Double Dollars for SNAP and sliding-scale CSAs that aim to bridge the gap.Nature Connection: Environmental psychology shows that eating seasonally and gardening (even on a small scale) reduces stress and improves well-being.3 simple ways to start today: The "One Local Swap" Rule: Pick one staple item (like honey, eggs, or bread) and commit to finding a local version.Follow the Seasons: Align your grocery list with what's growing nearby—strawberries in early summer, squash in the fall.Grow Your Own (Even a Little): You don't need a Pinterest-perfect garden. A container of cherry tomatoes or peas is enough to create a meaningful connection to your food—especially for kids! This Week's Invitation: What is one small way you could bring food a little closer to home this month?

The rooms collectors are dreaming about today can quietly shape the value of the art they choose tomorrow. You've already put the time, heart, and creative energy into developing your work. The next step isn't changing your style. It's understanding the environments your collectors are imagining for their homes. When you begin to see your art through the lens of the spaces it might live in, something shifts. Your work starts to feel more intentional, more aligned, and more clearly positioned for the people who are ready to collect it. In this conversation, I'm sharing three Pinterest trends that reveal where interior taste is heading and how those spaces create new opportunities for your art to stand out and be appreciated.

This week I'm welcoming back Pinterest marketing expert Heather Farris to the podcast for a conversation about what's really happening on Pinterest right now, especially if you sell physical products.  Heather first joined me back on episode 385 where she shared some incredibly practical strategies for product-based brands that are using Pinterest to drive traffic and sales.  A lot has changed since then, particularly with Pinterest rolling out more AI-driven tools and features.  In this episode, Heather breaks down what's actually new, what's just a rebrand, and what product-based businesses should be paying attention to right now.  We talk about tools like the new Pinterest Assistant, the growing influence of generative AI on the platform, and what all of this means for brands that make handmade or small batch products.  Heather also shares how businesses can stand out when so much content online is starting to look and feel AI generated. You'll hear practical advice on getting started with Pinterest, optimizing your product listings, tapping into trends, and using the platform in a way that actually supports your sales. If you've been wondering whether Pinterest is still worth your time, or if you're adapting to all the new AI changes, this conversation will give you some clarity. Today's episode is brought to you by our Proof to Product LABS coaching program. LABS is where product-based business owners come to get support with real decisions behind growing their business.  We're talking sales, marketing, operations, and just being in community with other people who understand what you're going through. Inside of LABS, we do talk about things like using Pinterest to drive direct-to-consumer sales, building out welcome sequence sequences for your emails, cleaning up your bookkeeping systems, and a whole lot more. Being single shouldn't feel like you're on trial every time you show up to a family dinner—but for so many women, it does.In this episode, we sit down with Franny Tristan—trauma therapist, coach, and founder of Soul Supply—to unpack what's really going on beneath all that pressure. Because when family expectations, cultural messages, and even social media start treating relationships as the ultimate proof that you've “made it,” it can quietly make you question your worth. And for many Black and Brown women, that pressure can feel even heavier—layered with the realities of racism, sexism, and the unspoken expectations we carry. We get real about trauma too—not just the big, obvious moments, but the “million paper cuts” that slowly shape how you see yourself and move through the world. Franny breaks down the difference between big T and little t trauma, and why healing isn't just about fixing symptoms—it's about understanding the systems and stories we've internalized. We also talk about identity, diaspora, eldest daughter energy, and why your value has nothing to do with whether you followed the “relationship timeline.”Then we bring it into real life—because this isn't just theory. We talk about how the right community can expand your world overnight, why romance isn't the same as security, and how to protect your peace when those uncomfortable questions start coming your way.Franny also shares how she supports women through Soul Supply—from group programs like Settle for More, to her Single, Empowered, and Free masterclass, virtual spaces you can access from anywhere, and in-person retreats designed for deeper connection. If you've ever felt judged, questioned, or “behind,” this conversation is going to meet you right where you are. Listen all the way through—and share it with a woman who needs this reminder. And if it speaks to you, subscribe and leave a review so more women can find their way here too.Bio Fanny Tristan, LCSW-R, is a Trauma Therapist, Coach, and Founder of Her Soul Supply, a coaching platform for single Black and Brown women. Through workshops, retreats, and her signature coaching programs, she helps women in midlife release outdated expectations about love and timelines, and instead build lives rooted in freedom, joy, and community. With over 15 years of experience, Fanny has supported countless women in breaking free from cycles of self-doubt and relationship pressure, guiding them to embrace singlehood as a season of power, not limitation.Website www.hersoulsupply.com Social MediaInstagram, Facebook,TikTok and Pinterest @hersupply Free Download  - Your Loneliness Ends Here Thank you for listening to the V.I.B.E. In this episode of Research Like a Pro, Diana and Nicole discuss the all-new Version 4.2 (2026) of the Research Like a Pro with DNA Airtable Research Log. The updates are designed to streamline the genetic genealogy workflow, making DNA research more flexible and reducing duplicate data entry.  Diana details the biggest change: the "Test-taker" and "DNA Match" fields in the DNA Match Details table are renamed to "Person 1 (P1)" and "Person 2 (P2)." This simple but powerful update allows users to record the shared DNA between any two people, including matches and their shared matches, which is particularly useful for analyzing data from Ancestry Pro Shared Matches, MyHeritage, and FTDNA. Nicole highlights that the family tree URLs, kit administrator fields, and match usernames are now centralized exclusively in the People table. This makes them lookup fields in other tables, meaning users enter the information only once and save significant time. Furthermore, Nicole discusses the Timeline table enhancement, where a new formula automatically converts varied date entries (e.g., "March 1857") into a standardized sortable format. Diana confirms that core tables like Locations, FANs, and Segments remain the same, preserving existing workflows. Listeners will learn how to make the most of the new base, with tips for migrating data from older versions. In this heartfelt Podcast-A-Thon episode of Got Clutter? Get Organized!, Janet sits down with Mel McDaniel, Founder and Director of Marvin's Home, to explore how ordinary items — lamps, baskets, décor, linens, and even the things we call “clutter” — can become the foundation of a new beginning for young adults aging out of foster care or experiencing homelessness. Mel shares her deeply personal journey of growing up without a true sense of home, and how that inspired her mission: helping youth step into apartments that become places of comfort, identity, and dignity. You'll hear: • How Marvin's Home transforms empty apartments into warm, intentional spaces • Why passing it on can change someone's life for years to come • The emotional moment when a young adult sees their new home for the first time • The challenges of learning organization after living in survival mode • How donated items — big and small — become tools of stability and hope • Simple ways communities can support the mission, including becoming a hub Whether you're an organizer, a giver, or someone who believes in the power of home, this conversation will inspire you to look at your belongings — and your impact — in a whole new way. Más de lo mismo en Castilla y León

Play Episode Listen Later Mar 16, 2026 51:04

The Murder of a Corrections Officer Working in Prison: The Impact. The murder of a corrections officer working in prison is one of the most dangerous realities of law enforcement. The Federal Murder Case The inmate responsible was indicted on June 25, 2013, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. The charges included: First-degree murder First-degree murder of a U.S. corrections officer Possession of contraband in prison In June 2017, a federal jury found the inmate guilty. Prosecutors sought the death penalty, but on July 10, 2017, the jury ultimately sentenced him to life imprisonment. The Murder of a Corrections Officer Working in Prison: The Impact. Available for free on their website and streaming on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Youtube and other podcast platforms. The Personal Impact on Federal Officers For Sorensen, the murder of Officer Williams was more than a tragic news headline. It deeply affected the officers who worked inside the prison system. “When something like that happens inside a federal prison, every officer feels it,” Sorensen explained. “It reminds you how quickly things can turn violent.” He described the reality correctional officers face every day, supervising violent offenders in a confined and unpredictable environment. “People often forget that correctional officers are police officers too,” Sorensen said. “They just work behind the walls.” You can follow him on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast Facebook, Instagram, watch the episode of the podcast interview and case breakdowns on YouTube, or listen to in-depth discussions on their website, on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and most major podcast platforms. Violence Inside America's Prisons The dangers faced by correctional officers are significant. The Murder of a Corrections Officer Working in Prison: The Impact. According to data from the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, the memorial walls include the names of 528 correctional officers who have died in the line of duty. The first recorded correctional officer killed in the line of duty was William Bullard, who was beaten to death during an escape attempt in 1841. Today: More than 200,000 correctional officers work in local, state, and federal facilities. They supervise approximately 1.5 million inmates nationwide. Roughly 8,000 assaults on correctional staff occur every year. In the past 30 years alone, more than 200 correctional officers have died in the line of duty, many during inmate assaults. The Murder of a Corrections Officer Working in Prison: The Impact. It is discussed across News platforms and shared on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Apple, and Spotify, where audiences continue to get their content. Recent tragedies highlight the ongoing danger, including the deaths of Jeremy Hall in 2025 and Dustin Pedigo in 2026. “The public rarely sees the danger correctional officers face every day,” Sorensen said. “But the risks are real.” Changes in Federal Prison Policies Incidents like the murder of Eric Williams have forced federal prisons to reexamine policies designed to protect staff. According to Sorensen, the tragedy sparked discussions about: Officer safety procedures Contraband control inside prisons Tactical response training Equipment and protective tools for staff “You can't eliminate the danger completely,” Sorensen said. “But you can improve training, procedures, and awareness to better protect officers.” Robert Sorensen's Career in Federal Law Enforcement Sorensen spent decades in federal law enforcement before retiring from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Listeners can find the show on the major platforms such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube, where discussions focus on mental health, leadership, wellness, and recovery from trauma. He later served as a GS-13 Special Agent with the Office of Internal Affairs, overseeing nearly 1,000 investigations involving staff misconduct, policy compliance, and interagency coordination with agencies including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Naval Criminal Investigative Service, and the Office of Inspector General. The Murder of a Corrections Officer Working in Prison: The Impact. He also held operational roles at USP Canaan, where he contributed to crisis management and tactical training programs adopted throughout the region. Today, Sorensen serves as Director of Strategic Partnerships and Agency Liaison for SoRite, helping develop practical safety solutions for corrections and law enforcement professionals. “Training and preparation are everything,” Sorensen said. “You have to give officers the tools and knowledge they need to survive the job.” Honoring the Sacrifice The story of Eric Williams serves as a reminder that law enforcement service extends far beyond patrol cars and city streets. You can find the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, X (formerly Twitter), and LinkedIn, as well as read companion articles and updates on Medium, Blogspot, YouTube, and even IMDB. Correctional officers stand on the front lines of the criminal justice system, often in environments that are isolated from public view. The Murder of a Corrections Officer Working in Prison: The Impact. “These officers deserve recognition and respect,” Sorensen said. “They put their lives on the line every day to keep the public safe.” For those who serve behind the walls, the memory of fallen officers like Eric Williams continues to shape how federal prisons train, prepare, and protect their staff. And as Sorensen emphasized during the podcast, the lessons learned from tragedies like this must never be forgotten. Hey y'all ! Welcome to another Friday with CWCOI ! In this week's episode, our host, Ally Yost takes the "pressure" off this week. We talk about the different sources of pressure - pressure from the enemy and pressure from God. In that, we also expose the enemy and how we shouldn't allow him to affect how we see and think about ourselves in those pressure moments. We come out of agreement of those lies and into the agreement of truth - that we are fearfully and wonderfully made by the Lord. "I will climb to the highest heavens and be like the Most High." In this episode, Favour Obasi-ike, MBA, MS will teach you How to Use Pinterest and Podcasting Together to Build Revenue in 2026. Understand what Podcast Listeners Are Doing, Where Pinterest Users Are Planning: Why That Changes Everything. AI + Pinterest + Podcasting = The Revenue Framework for Business Owners. We had a section in this episode discussing From Sourdough to Strategy: How Pinterest Search Reveals Your Next Customer and many more monetization insights for podcast listeners, hosts, and Pinterest business owners.Favour Obasi-ike, MBA, MS and co-host Jon Muranko break down a striking discovery: there are 619.2 million global podcast listeners and 619 million Pinterest monthly active users, nearly identical audiences with completely different behaviors. Podcast listeners consume while doing (commuting, exercising, getting ready). Pinterest users consume while planning (buying, building, deciding). This episode explores how business owners can bridge both platforms using AI tools like Claude to reverse-engineer revenue outcomes, build Pinterest boards that mirror search intent, and time podcast publishing for maximum 24-hour download cycles.Book SEO Services? The audiences are nearly identical in size but differ in behavior: listeners are doing, pinners are planning.Top 3 places people listen to podcasts: getting ready (1st), commuting (2nd), and exercising (3rd). Knowing this shapes when and how you publish.Podcast publishing time affects your 24-hour download window. Post early in the cycle to maximize downloads before the daily clock resets.Pinterest search reveals buyer intent before the purchase. Typing "sourdough" surfaces "discard recipes" as the top suggestion, telling you exactly what URL to build on your website.Use AI as an accelerator, not a replacement. Jon's framework: define your outcome, reverse-engineer it with Claude or Gemini, then validate with a human strategist.Launch Pinterest ad campaigns on Tuesdays or Wednesdays to maximize a 14-day campaign window with the strongest start.Memorable Quotes"619.2 million podcast listeners versus 619 million Pinterest visitors. This is globally." — Favour Obasi-ike [00:05]"You can't plant a mango tree and expect pomegranates. It's what you give that you get." — Favour Obasi-ike [17:44]"AI is not gonna give you the magic key. It will help you accelerate. But if you and I are accelerating the wrong direction, is that gonna help us?" — Jon Muranko [08:25]"Write down your ideas on a physical piece of paper. Takeaways at the top, goals in the middle, actions at the bottom. Then process it through Claude." — Jon Muranko [37:19]"If you're not the one doing it, at least know what you're paying for. That in itself is enough gold to make a better decision." — Favour Obasi-ike [33:39]FAQsQ: Why compare podcast listeners to Pinterest users? A: Both audiences total 619 million globally. Podcast listeners are active (commuting, exercising), while Pinterest users are planning purchases. Bridging both platforms lets you reach the same audience at two different decision stages.Q: How does podcast publishing time affect downloads? A: Podcasts operate on a 24-hour download cycle. Publishing early in that window gives your episode the full day to accumulate downloads, rather than posting late and getting only one hour of traction.Q: How can AI help with Pinterest strategy? A: Use Claude or Gemini to reverse-engineer your revenue goal into a Pinterest content plan, but always validate outputs with human expertise and fact-checking.Q: When should I launch Pinterest ad campaigns? A: Tuesdays and Wednesdays are optimal launch days, giving your 14-day campaign a strong start within the weekly cycle.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

If you're trying to drink less or stop drinking, alcohol cravings can feel incredibly frustrating. You might make it through a few days or even a couple of weeks, and then suddenly the desire to drink shows up again—usually when you're stressed, overwhelmed, tired, or just trying to unwind at the end of the day. In this episode, I'm joined by Mary Tilson, a professional recovery coach, yoga and meditation teacher, and the founder of Sun and Moon Sober Living. We talk about why alcohol cravings happen, how to create a pause between impulse and action, and how to build the skills that help you move through cravings without starting over. What if bedtime isn't a parenting problem at all? What if your child isn't resisting sleep… but their body is trying to take out the trash? In this powerful solo episode, Dana Kay reveals one of the most overlooked biological stressors impacting children with ADHD: poor detoxification. Sleep is not just rest. It is the brain and body's nightly cleanup crew. When detox pathways are sluggish, overloaded, or genetically compromised, children can wake between 1–3 a.m., feel wired but exhausted, experience red cheeks, itchy skin, anxiety, sensory overload, and morning meltdowns before the day even begins. Dana walks through  three major detox systems — liver, gut, and lymphatic system — and explains how genetic mutations like MTHFR, GSTT1, GSTM1, and GSTP1, combined with oxidative stress and environmental toxin exposure, can create internal pressure that looks like ADHD behavior. Through the story of Dara and her daughter Reese, she shows how supporting detox pathways changed sleep first, and regulation followed. If sleep plans work for other kids but not yours, this episode will help you understand why. Tired of ADHD strategies that don't work? Here's what actually does. FREE training here: https://programs.tracyotsuka.com/signup_____Most of us never actually choose our values. We absorb them from parents, culture, and community, and then wonder why our lives feel like a scratchy sweater we can't take off. That works for a while until something starts to feel off. Nothing is technically wrong, but you have the sense that the life you're living may not actually fit you.Procrastination lives in the same neighborhood. It's not about the task. It's about the feeling the task creates, boredom, confusion, fear, or perfectionism, which is fear in a tailored blazer. The shift comes when you realize you get to choose. You can drop values that feel like an uncomfortable sweater and replace them with ones that actually feel right. In this episode, let's talk about how to identify what you actually value, why motivation follows action and never the other way around, how to shrink the start so small your brain can't resist, and how to hack dopamine so it works for you instead of against you.If you've been waiting to feel ready, motivated, or confident before you start, this episode will flip that. You don't become the person first. Every small action teaches your brain who you are becoming.Resources: Website: tracyotsuka.comInstagram: https://instagram.com/tracyotsuka YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@tracyotsuka4796FREE 3-days to Fall in Love With Your ADHD Brain training on Jan 6th:  https://tracyotsuka.com/ilovemybrain Tired of ADHD strategies that don't work? Discover your truest expression and learn how to live it daily with the Sweet Spot Playbook.  https://schoolofselfimage.com/pod-sweet I want you to think about the most vibrant woman you know. Not the most successful. Not the most beautiful. The most vibrant. She walks into a room and something shifts. Not because she's loud. Not because she's trying. She's just… alive. Most people assume she must have the perfect workout routine, the cleanest diet, the best skincare. But after nearly twenty years of coaching women around the world, I can tell you this: the most vibrant women I've met don't have a secret supplement or a magic routine. What they have are three habits most people would never guess. Today, we're going beyond "drink more water" and "get your steps in." We're talking about the real habits that make a woman magnetic, energized, and fully alive in her own life. Here's what we cover: • Why the most vibrant women you know aren't doing what you think they are • The hidden cost of "managing the room" – and how performing drains your energy • Why magnetic women stop controlling perception and start fully inhabiting the moment • How replacing judgment with curiosity fuels connection, calm, and confidence • The neuroscience behind curiosity – and why it energizes instead of depletes • What it means to have a daily love affair with your own life, blooming where you're planted instead of waiting for better circumstances Did you enjoy this episode? Where is Pinterest going and how does it serve creators as their founding business adopters? Our team has actively been investing in e-commerce sellers, as Pinterest has given us signals since 2022 that it is headed in that direction. From the hiring of Bill Ready from PayPal and Venmo and his stacking of the C-suite team with other e-commerce-forward C-suite leaders, the writing was on the wall. But that leaves the big question of where do creators fit into all of this. Do people on Pinterest still find them discoverable? Lately, I've been playing around on Pinterest more as a user. Just to see what is coming up for me. Of course, the AI slop which is all around the internet, but products are definitely something that comes up strong the moment I give the algorithm any signal that I like.I'm going to Spain in the fall for my 50th birthday. We're spending 2 weeks exploring the country with friends and I cannot wait. I've already started looking at clothes and new swimsuits. The moment I clicked on a suit, my feed was flooded with resortware and more swim. It was hard to find content. But now I''m searching for tips on Spain and it's back. That being said, search is still alive and well. In fact, Pinterest in the Q4 2025 investor report, said they have more searches than Chat GPT. That's impressive. Also, users grew to 614 million. But something lacked in their report and caused the stock to dip – advertisers impacted by strong headwinds due to tariffs. Those were their words, not mine. What does that mean then? E-commerce sellers on a large scale - think Target and Walmart- were hit hard and pulled back advertising dollars.Queue a new C-suite member who is specifically targeting small and mid-size businesses for advertising. Those who are selling products are PRIME for spending money on Pinterest Ads. Our clients prove this out with our e-commerce sellers having some of the highest ROI in Q4 of 2025. Last, I'll say this. We're leaning into experimenting with Substack and how to leverage Pinterest for growth of subscribers. We have two accounts running the experiment now and they are eager to prove out this model by going through our accelerator model first and then transitioning into ads. Our team is so curious and excited. Is Pinterest dead in 2026? A question I've been asked every year. I don't think so but the old models aren't work. It's time to think differently and creatively. —-------Here are some helpful links from the podcast:

In a world that moves quickly, it's easy to live at a pace that leaves our hearts hurried and distracted. In this episode, I'm sharing reflections from a slower season away and what the Lord has been teaching me about the pace of my days. It's easy to fill every quiet space with noise and constant input. But when I look at the life of Jesus, I see something different. I see presence. Unhurried conversations. Intentional time with people. Quiet moments in prayer. The pace of our days doesn't just affect our schedules. It affects our souls. We'll talk about how ordinary life is where God meets us, how our daily patterns shape our hearts, and how small, intentional choices help us reclaim presence in a distracted world. Looking at the example of Christ and the encouragement of Psalm 1, we'll be reminded that reclaiming ordinary life doesn't require dramatic changes. It begins with small steps of faithfulness right where God has placed us.
