In this episode, I share one of the most synchronistic client stories I have ever heard that shocked me! It began with a client simply hearing about Canada. Then she kept hearing about Banff. Then Reiki kept coming into conversation. One connection led to another until she found my podcast, or should I say my podcast found her. My episode randomly started playing in her car. Every step felt connected, intentional and mind blowing. I receive messages often from people sharing the unexpected ways they find my podcast, but this one truly shook me. The synchronicities were undeniable. This episode is a reminder that sometimes you do not find a podcast by accident. Sometimes it finds you. I believe that if you are here listening, you are here for a reason. Whether you are developing your intuition, stepping into Reiki, or deepening your spiritual path, you are not here randomly. One thing I know for sure, is my podcast will find you when you need it. If my work has found you, I trust there is something here meant to support you on your development journey. This work never stops amazing me! Surrender, Flow & Why “No” Is Your Greatest Teacher We talk about evidence. We talk about accuracy. We talk about success. But we rarely talk about the nerves. The doubt. The “no's.” The fear of getting it wrong. In this honest, funny, and deeply real conversation, Jason is joined once again by medium Mia Otterson to explore what actually shapes a medium behind the scenes. This isn't about polished platform moments. It's about what happens before and after.Together, they unpack surrender, ADHD minds, insecurity, ego, perfectionism, and why the very thing most mediums fear - the “no” - might be the greatest teacher of all.If you've ever questioned yourself…If you've ever felt thrown off by a sitter's reaction…If you've ever wondered whether you're really “there” yet…This episode will feel like a deep exhale. What you'll hearThe “backside” of mediumship no one talks aboutWhy many mediums wait too long to say “I am a medium”Checklist evidence vs true surrender to SpiritHow ego quietly interferes with the flowADHD, masking, and the sensitive mind in mediumshipWhy not looking at your sitter can strengthen your linkThe real truth about “no's” — and how to work with themHow illness and adversity can deepen trust in SpiritWhy perfectionism both helps and harms developmentThe mindset shift that turns insecurity into resilienceWho this episode is forDeveloping mediums who feel stuck in self-doubtPlatform workers afraid of getting it wrongHealers, intuitives, and sensitives navigating insecurityAnyone who feels called to do the work — but fears they're not readyMentions & ideasSurrender in mediumshipFlow statePerfectionismADHD and spiritual sensitivityTrust vs controlReframing rejectionGentle noteThis episode discusses anxiety, self-doubt, and personal challenges within spiritual development. Feeling like the wheels are coming off your life—or the world? The Year of the Fire Horse is here, and the old paradigm is dissolving fast. For some, it feels like rock bottom. For others, a slow unraveling. This week, Lacy and Jessica unpack the collective stripping, ego deaths, and visibility fears rising to the surface—and why this acceleration is actually a portal into your most authentic self. If you've been stuck in perfectionism, burned out by optimization culture, or clear on your purpose but unable to move, this episode unpacks what's happening beneath the surface. Through the lens of TBM tools, human design, Chinese astrology, and nervous system regulation, they explain why hustle, formulas, and “matrix authenticity” won't carry you into the new paradigm—but why a more aligned, authentic approach will. This season isn't about fear. It's about releasing what no longer fits so something truer can emerge. The real question is: are you ready to stop performing and step into your true purpose? Send a textWhat happens when elite performance ends—but the pain doesn't?In this powerful episode of Joey Pinz Conversations, Joey sits down with former All-American linebacker and two-time national champion Brandon Day to unpack the hidden cost of high achievement—and the unexpected path to renewal.Brandon opens up about life after sports, identity loss, chronic pain, and burnout that spiraled into some of his darkest moments. From sleeping on a deflated air mattress in Los Angeles to questioning his own worth, his story is raw, honest, and deeply human. The turning point came through applied neuroscience and neurotraining—work that helped Brandon eliminate pain, regain clarity, and rebuild his life from the inside out. Today, as a father of triplets and founder of Evolved Athlete, he helps lifelong athletes and high performers tap into flow states, restore nervous system balance, and perform without burning out. This conversation explores imposter syndrome, neuroplasticity, the brain's need for safety and predictability, and why consistency—not intensity—is the real edge.If you've ever felt stuck, broken, or past your prime—this episode will change how you think about performance, recovery, and what's possible next.
What do you see when you close your eyes? In this episode, we explore the Aphantasia Scale, a one to five spectrum that describes how vividly you visualize in your mind's eye, and how that directly influences your mediumship and intuition. Many people assume that being intuitive means seeing clear mental images, but that is not necessarily true. Visualization exists on a spectrum, and intuitive information can come through in many different ways depending on your natural strengths. I discuss why understanding where you fall on the scale matters and how it helps you stop forcing your intuition to look a certain way. Your ability to visualize does not determine your intuitive ability. When you understand how your mind works, you can develop your gifts with greater confidence and clarity. This episode offers reassurance for anyone who has questioned their intuitive ability because their inner world does not look cinematic or crystal clear. Your mind's eye does not determine your capacity for connection. How you understand and strengthen your natural way of receiving information is what truly matters. In this episode of Acta Non Verba, Marcus Aurelius Anderson sits down with virtuoso guitarist Angel Vivaldi to explore the intersection of artistry, authenticity, and perseverance. Angel shares insights from his recent tour with legendary guitarist Steve Morse, discusses his creative process behind concept albums like "Synapse," and reveals how he balances being 65% artist and 35% business. The conversation dives deep into topics ranging from working with difficult people and learning from enemies, to the role of AI in music, the importance of vulnerability, and why the only thing worse than living with regret is dying with it. This is a masterclass in commitment, creativity, and staying true to yourself in an industry that constantly demands compromise. Episode Highlights [2:14] Learning from Steve Morse's Humility and Reinvention - Angel describes touring with guitar legend Steve Morse and witnessing him reinvent his playing technique due to arthritis. Despite being one of the greatest guitarists alive, Morse remained humble enough to learn legato and tapping techniques from Angel, demonstrating that true mastery includes the willingness to continuously evolve. [20:59] The Muse and Discipline: Speaking Her Language - Angel shares his philosophy on creativity and the muse: "She has a lot of people to visit and she's gonna favor those who know how to speak her language. What is her language? Music." He explains why showing up consistently to practice—even without inspiration—is essential, because you're refining how you speak music so the muse can work through you. [39:44] The Synapse Album: Painting Studios and Neurotransmitters - Angel reveals the extreme creative process behind his concept album "Synapse," where each song represents a different neurotransmitter. He painted his studio a different color for each song (red for adrenaline, green for serotonin), changed scents, and even wrote at specific times of day to embody each neurochemical state—a process that nearly broke him but resulted in some of his most authentic work. [82:13] Learning from Your Enemies: Unfiltered Feedback - Angel offers a provocative perspective: "Your enemies have no stake in you liking them or them liking you. If you want unfiltered, uncensored, direct feedback on your flaws as a human being, look to your enemies." He explains how to parse criticism from adversaries to find genuine insights while filtering out projection and insecurity. Angel Vivaldi is an American virtuoso guitarist, songwriter, and producer who has been pushing the boundaries of instrumental guitar music since beginning his solo career in 2003. Self-taught from age 15, Angel has released multiple concept albums including "Universal Language," "Away With Words Parts 1 & 2," and "Synapse," each showcasing his unique blend of progressive metal, fusion, and melodic sensibility. Beyond his solo work, Angel is a multifaceted creative force—he's a cinematographer, fashion enthusiast, interior designer, and entrepreneur who founded Zenith Council, an artist services company helping musicians with branding, marketing, and creative vision. Recently, he toured as a guest guitarist with legendary Steve Morse, managing Morse's career while contributing rhythm guitar and content creation. Angel's approach to music and life embodies his belief that authenticity and vulnerability are the keys to creating art that truly resonates. If you're a sports fan, a winter fan, or an Olympics fan, this is a great time of year. I've been watching the Olympics—especially the Nordic skiing events, since cross‑country skiing is one of the activities I really enjoy. The United States has had some impressive results, including Ben Ogden winning a silver medal, Jessie Diggins earning a bronze, and several other standout performances. It's inspiring to see everything come together for athletes who have spent years working toward their goals. But talk about pressure. So much comes down to one day, one event, one performance. That's a tremendous amount of stress. It's not just a physical challenge but a mental one as well, especially for those favored to win or in contention for a medal. I just watched Jessie Diggins earn her medal while skiing with bruised ribs and collapsing at the finish—as she often does. Commentators described her ability to “tune out” distractions, “channel” pain, and “focus” on exactly what she needs to do. All of this highlights the mental side of performance.Today on Experience by Design, we welcome a guest who specializes in that mental side—specifically, the electrical impulses and brain states we experience during different types of activities. In his new book, Life Explained: Chasing 10 Hertz, Dr. Izzy Justice explores neurohacks that reduce brain frequency, enhance sensory input, and create more mindful experiences. Izzy discusses his research on brainwave frequencies, especially the “magic” 10 Hz state in which sensory input is amplified and cognitive function peaks.Dr. Justice explains how trauma and panic can impact athletes during competition, particularly in sports where unexpected challenges can arise. But these principles extend far beyond athletics—we also explore how they apply to creativity in business, focus in education, learning, and everyday tasks. We also talk about the importance of translating academic findings for public audiences. Izzy emphasizes the need for actionable language and accessible frameworks for managing brain states, and why greater education is essential for helping us regulate our own brain activity, reduce the noise around us, and reach that 10 Hz state to create more mindful experiences.

Scott Fawcett flips the script and interviews me—Paul Salter, The Golf Hypnotherapist—to pull back the curtain on what hypnosis actually is (and what it's not), how it compares to meditation, and why so many golfers struggle with their mental game and stay stuck even when they "know what to do." We dig into the real reason consistency collapses (hint: it's not laziness), what I mean by destructive mindset programs, and how fear of next-level success quietly drives self-sabotage. I also explain memory reconsolidation—why your past isn't "over" just because you've compartmentalized it—and how releasing old emotional charge can free up energy, focus, and execution when it matters most. In this episode, you'll learn: The real difference between hypnosis and the "pocket watch" caricature Why meditation helps—but why it often isn't enough for identity-level change How fear of success can be the hidden reason you stop doing what works What "memory reconsolidation" is and how it impacts performance Why the yips and performance anxiety often have roots outside golf The difference between surface-level tools vs subconscious rewiring Why stress is often an "energy leak" from unresolved internal conflict If you've tried sports psychology, visualization, breathwork, and self-talk… and still feel like there's something deeper running the show, this conversation will connect a lot of dots. High-Performance Hypnotherapy and Mindset Coaching Paul Salter - known as The Golf Hypnotherapist - is a High-Performance Hypnotherapist and Mindset Coach who leverages hypnosis and powerful subconscious reprogramming techniques to help golfers of all ages and skill levels overcome the mental hazards of their minds so they can shoot lower scores and play to their potential. Click here to learn more about how high-performance hypnotherapy and mindset coaching can help you get out of your own way and play to your potential on (and off) the course. Instagram: @thepaulsalter Key Takeaways: Hypnosis isn't mind control—it's a natural brain state you already enter daily. The work is simply learning to access it intentionally for change. Meditation and hypnosis overlap in brainwaves, but hypnosis adds direction. It's not just relaxing—it's targeted problem-solving and identity work. Most inconsistency is subconscious protection, not lack of discipline. When success feels unfamiliar, the mind pulls you back toward "safe" and predictable. Self-sabotage is often sneaky and cumulative. It shows up as small broken promises (sleep, meditation, workouts), not just obvious destructive behaviors. Next-level performance requires detachment from outcome. "Need to / have to / should" language is a dead giveaway you're gripping the result. Memory reconsolidation changes your relationship with the past. You don't erase memories—you drain the emotional charge so they stop hijacking the present. Your golf game carries your whole life onto the course. Unresolved family dynamics, identity pressure, and old emotional pain can create mental interference that looks like "golf problems." Key Quotes: "Hypnosis…it's not magic. It's not brainwashing. It's a natural state of mind." "If you know what to do and you're not doing it…that's a mindset problem." "Most people are afraid of next level success or being the best version of themselves." "The sneaky lowercase-s self-sabotage…is breaking the little promises you keep to yourself." "You can control your process…but not the outcome." "Memory reconsolidation is like opening a Word document and doing some editing." "You bring your whole self to the golf course…most of the stressors are completely unrelated to golf." Hey Heal Squad! What does it actually mean to be “in flow” and can we get there more often on purpose? In this episode, bestselling author and performance coach David Nurse breaks down the science of flow, what's happening in your brain when you're “in the zone,” and why most of us get knocked out of it. He walks us through his proven Flow Code: a simple daily routine using breath, visualization, and mind-body practices that can train your brain toward flow. We also dive into what elite athletes do differently (deep practice, not busy practice), the Flow Trifecta of passion, purpose, and what you actually do for a living, and how uncertainty, distractions, and your environment can quietly block your best performance. If you want clearer focus, less overthinking, and more effortless days, this episode will show you how to start building a more flow-driven life! Enjoy! HEALERS & HEAL LINERS Flow is trainable, not accidental: You can literally condition your brain for flow through simple daily practices like breath, visualization, and presence. Episode Overview In this episode, Michael sits down with Steven Puri, a former Hollywood studio executive turned founder of Sukha, to explore career reinvention, sustainable creativity, and the science behind focus and flow. Drawing from Steven's journey through the film industry and his transition into building tools for deep work, the conversation uncovers practical strategies for productivity, work-life balance, and long-term creative success. From Hollywood Sets to Studio Executive Leadership Steven and Michael begin by unpacking Michael's career trajectory in the film industry, from working directly on major motion pictures to stepping into senior executive leadership. Michael shares stories from his time collaborating with renowned directors and how those formative experiences shaped his understanding of storytelling, leadership, and execution. His career evolved into executive roles at DreamWorks as Executive Vice President, where he oversaw high-profile projects including Transformers and Fringe, and later as Vice President at 20th Century Fox, managing large-scale summer action franchises. These experiences laid the foundation for his later work in leadership, burnout prevention, and performance. Crafting Success Through Sustainable Creative Environments Steven shares insights from his own career about the importance of craftsmanship and sustainability, particularly for writers and creative professionals. Rather than relying on bursts of inspiration, he emphasizes designing environments that consistently support deep focus and high-quality output. He highlights examples of successful creatives who intentionally tied their work to specific locations, including writing teams who returned to the same villa in Puerto Vallarta or repeatedly booked the same room at the Universal Hilton to trigger a focused mental state. Steven encourages listeners to identify or create their own dedicated spaces that signal it is time to do meaningful work. Remote Work Rituals and Focus Michael reflects on his early experience working remotely as far back as 2007, long before remote work became mainstream. He explains how he established rituals to mentally transition into and out of work, including maintaining a dedicated workspace, dressing as if going to an office, and even using intentional entry and exit routines to mark the workday. Steven connects this to his own writing on the concept of “commuting to your home office,” reinforcing how rituals can replace the psychological cues that traditional offices once provided. Work-Life Balance, Boundaries, and Productivity As a father and entrepreneur, Michael shares how he learned to balance presence with productivity. He discusses setting clear boundaries during work hours while remaining fully engaged with his children outside of them, a strategy that helped him avoid burnout while maintaining performance. The conversation moves into procrastination and task management, with Michael explaining how breaking large projects into smaller, manageable steps helps reduce resistance. Steven adds insights from his work with Sukha, noting that limiting visible tasks to just three at a time can significantly improve focus and execution. Flow States and High Performance The episode concludes with a deep dive into flow states, drawing on the research of psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi. Steven and Michael explore how elite performers across industries enter flow and the conditions required to sustain it. Steven shares a pivotal personal experience of entering a deep flow state during a flight, which ultimately inspired the creation of Sukha. The company's name itself came from a user who described how the tool helped them find balance between meaningful work and family life, perfectly capturing the mission behind the platform. Key Takeaways Sustainable success is built through intentional environments and rituals, not constant hustle Flow states can be designed, not left to chance Clear boundaries support both productivity and well-being Limiting task overload is a powerful antidote to burnout and procrastination For more information on Steven Puri and his work, visit https://thesukha.co or reach out directly at https://www.thesukha.co/media

Danny hosts a viewer's version of blind ranking and gets ROASTED, Daniel hits flow state, and Mason questions our sanity in a game of “Word at a Time Story”.
On a cold January day in South Carolina, Jamie and Matt Staub unpack why focus is one of the most underrated leadership skills—especially in healthcare, where everything can feel urgent. They break down how leaders decide what deserves attention, how to “push pause” on non-emergencies, and why coaching people through problems is often more effective than absorbing them. The conversation also explores decision fatigue, the difference between being busy and being focused, the role of habits (including insights from Atomic Habits), and how boundaries protect the work that actually moves the mission forward. Along the way, they normalize attention struggles, reframe “failure” as part of growth, and offer practical ways to stay aligned to goals without losing empathy or accessibility.
Body-to-Brain Signal Flow: Modern neuroscience indicates that up to 80% of neurological data flows from the body up to the brain, and optimizing this "body-up" communication is becoming a focus for high-level athletic training. The percentage of American athletes experiencing chronic pain varies significantly depending on the level of competition and sport, with rates ranging from 30% in general athletes to as high as 80%–96% in retired National Football League (NFL) players. According to the National Institute of Health and Student Athlete Scholars. Brandon Day is a two-time national champion, former All-American linebacker, and someone who's been featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated. But his story doesn't stop on the field. After years battling chronic pain and the mental grind that comes with pushing your body to the limit, Brandon became obsessed with understanding what drives human performance — not just in sports, but in life and business. Now, he's a high-performance coach and the founder of the NeuroFlow Method — a unique system that combines applied neuroscience and flow state coaching to help elite performers break through plateaus, eliminate pain, and unlock their peak physical and cognitive potential. He works with lifelong athletes, business owners, and entrepreneurs who refuse to settle for ‘good enough' — helping them reclaim their energy, their focus, and their edge. If you're someone who knows what it feels like to operate at a high level but wonder if there's another gear — this is the conversation you can't afford to miss. For more information: https://evolvedathlete.coach/ Instagram: @iambrandonday Discover More: https://www.skool.com/evolved/about Learn more about your ad choices. We follow his path from early neglect and a depressive collapse to a single insight: what you don't fully attend to keeps weighing you down.Time-Light teaches that trauma is stored energy that shapes brain, biochemistry, behavior, and identity. What if manifestation doesn't fail because you're doing it wrong, but because your nervous system is stuck in survival mode? In this episode of The Skeptic Metaphysicians, Will and Karen sit down with Christy Whitman, two-time New York Times bestselling author and transformational teacher, for a grounded, practical conversation about flow, energy mastery, and why so many well-intentioned spiritual practices backfire. Rather than relying on affirmations, vision boards, or spiritual bypassing, Christy explains how true manifestation begins by regulating the nervous system, releasing stored energetic blocks, and shifting from survival consciousness into creator consciousness. This conversation bridges modern spirituality, energy healing, and consciousness work with real-world application, especially for listeners who feel exhausted, stuck, or emotionally reactive despite “doing the work.” In this episode, you'll explore:Why manifestation feels exhausting when practiced from stress instead of flowHow fight-flight-freeze responses sabotage spiritual growth and intuition developmentThe connection between stored trauma, energy blocks, and physical symptomsWhy compassion is the fastest way to regulate the nervous systemHow to stop forcing outcomes and let life actually cooperateWhat a true flow state feels like, without collapsing into vague positivityThe difference between survival consciousness and creator consciousnessHow intuition becomes clearer when energy is alignedWhy detachment is essential to manifestation and soul purpose alignmentChristy also shares deeply personal insights from her decades of work as a spiritual teacher, including her experience channeling the Council of Light, and how energy mastery can support spiritual awakening, emotional regulation, and long-term spiritual growth. This episode is especially powerful for anyone navigating:Burnout during awakeningEmotional reactivityConfusion around manifestationNervous system dysregulationA desire for practical, grounded spiritual toolsIf you've ever wondered why manifestation techniques haven't delivered the peace, clarity, or abundance they promise, this conversation reframes everything. The Skeptic Metaphysicians is a pragmatic spirituality podcast for curious minds exploring the unknown without abandoning critical thinking. Each episode breaks down metaphysics explained through grounded conversation, examining hidden truths behind spiritual awakening, consciousness expansion, and expanded consciousness. Manifesting has been turned into a social media vending machine: think it, post it, get it. Spoiler alert: the universe is not Uber Eats. In this episode, Nicole goes full curious skeptic with Colette Baron-Reid, internationally respected intuitive, oracle expert, and bestselling author—to reclaim manifesting from influencer fluff and bring it back to what it actually is: alignment over attachment, being over chasing, partnership over control. This is not about “good vibes only” or visualizing a yacht and waiting for it to dock. It's about who you're becoming, how you're showing up, and what you're rehearsing every single day—consciously or not. What We Get Into: Why performative spirituality cheapens real intuition (and why it feels so off) The truth bomb: you don't manifest what you want—you manifest what you are Why attachment to outcomes kills trust, joy, and momentum How curiosity + gratitude open the door to synchronicity The science behind perception, focus, and your brain's internal “sorting system” Colette's Art of Manifesting practice: a meditative drawing method using circles and flowy lines to rewire patterns and co-create with intention Destiny vs. free will—and why it's not either/or Why manifesting doesn't eliminate pain or challenge, but can radically transform how you experience your life Bottom line: manifesting isn't a magic trick—it's a practice. You don't get to control the universe, but you do get to control how you show up, what you rehearse, and what you're available for… and that's where the real power (and real transformation) lives. David Nurse, high-performance coach to NBA All-Stars and Olympic gold medalists, discovered that elite performers don't hope for flow—they engineer it. The secret isn't motivation or talent. It's neuroscience. This isn't vague "find your flow" advice. This is the brain mapping research revealing that flow state occurs at a precise frequency—10 Hz in the Alpha zone—and the specific protocols to train your nervous system to access it on demand. David breaks down why legendary athletes like Kobe Bryant could enter "the zone" during championships, the paradoxical tension required for effortless focus, and the deep practice methodology that builds neural pathways for consistent peak performance. Discover: • The 10 Hz revelation—why flow happens at a measurable brainwave frequency (and how to train your brain to reach it) • Why the 10,000-hour rule is incomplete—the "deep practice" feedback loop that builds myelin and creates mastery • The "bumper bowling" principle—how removing fear of failure unlocks creative genius • Alex Honnold's "Free Solo" mindset—why elite performers visualize disasters, not just success • The TAP trigger for daily flow—Trust, Acceptance, and Presence as the gateway to effortless performance • The Flow Code formula—combining visualization, body scanning, and bilateral tapping to down-regulate your nervous system • Flow beyond athletics—how to access the zone for creative work, presentations, and high-stakes moments Here's what separates amateurs from world-class: amateurs wait for inspiration. Masters train their nervous systems to produce flow on command. If you've ever experienced a moment where everything clicked and wondered why you can't recreate it—this episode decodes the exact neural pathway to get back there. This episode is brought to you by Timeline, Strong Coffee Company and Fatty15. In this episode of Ever Forward Radio, performance coach Natalie Hummel reframes what it truly means to be a high performer—arguing that excellence isn't built through discipline, talent, or mindset alone, but through nervous system mastery. Natalie explains how fear, pressure, and self-sabotage are not problems to eliminate but sensations to build capacity for, and why separating sensation from story is the key to performing with ease under stress. Together, we will explore identity, upper limits, resilience, flow states, and what high performance looks like in everyday life. This conversation offers a grounded, practical, and deeply human approach to performance—one rooted in presence, self-mastery, and the courage to feel what most people avoid.
