What if your resistance to traditional business strategies isn't a mindset block to overcome, but actually your inner wisdom guiding you toward authentic success? In this raw and honest conversation, Creative Entrepreneur Coach Kellyn Bechtold (MBA/MPH, Wayfinder Certified Coach) shares her unconventional three-year journey of choosing self-discovery over self-discipline to build her coaching business, The Out Beyond, where she helps creative entrepreneurs grow businesses that function and flourish. She is a former operations director, trained coach, and Survivor CBS alum, she blends hard strategy with soulful insight to help others create sustainable success through self-discovery instead of self-discipline. This deeply personal episode explores the courage it takes to build a business on your own timeline, the financial fears that arise when you reject conventional wisdom, and how trusting your desires can lead to more sustainable success than forcing yourself through someone else's blueprint.BY THE TIME YOU FINISH LISTENING TO THIS EPISODE, YOU'LL DISCOVER:Why resistance to popular business strategies might be your intuition pointing you toward a more aligned path, and how Kellyn learned to use "I don't want to" as valuable business intelligence rather than something to overcome through self-discipline.The real cost of building a business that doesn't honor who you are, including how Kellyn's corporate experience showed her that even high earners can be miserable, and why inner peace became her new definition of wealth. How to navigate the financial fears that come with choosing an unconventional business path, including Kellyn's honest sharing about crossing financial boundaries she thought would mean danger, and her practice of "writing checks to herself" for the freedom she's gained. The difference between building a business from external validation versus internal alignment, and why getting people to say no earlier can actually accelerate your success by filtering out misaligned clients. Why your timeline for business success doesn't have to match anyone else's, and how taking time to "rest" and figure out your authentic path can actually be the most productive thing you can do for long-term fulfillment and sustainable income. And while you're here, follow us on Instagram @creativelyowned for more daily inspiration on effortlessly attracting the most aligned clients without spending hours marketing your business or chasing clients. There's a reason the stress never really leaves your body, because most of us never actually face it. In this episode, Lyndsay Soprano sits down with Amy Vincze for a deeply honest conversation about the emotional roots of chronic pain, the weight of unspoken trauma, and how tapping can help you finally release what you've been holding onto for way too long.Amy shares how tapping therapy (EFT) became a lifeline for her and her clients—a practice that goes beyond surface-level stress relief and helps regulate the nervous system, lower cortisol, and make space for emotional truth. Together, they dive into the connection between emotional overwhelm and physical pain, the fear of slowing down, and the way we've been taught to normalize struggle instead of heal from it.This conversation also touches on the chakra system as a map for both emotional and physical symptoms, and why addressing foundational fears is crucial for lasting change. Healing, they remind us, isn't always pretty, but it's worth it. And it often starts with giving yourself permission to feel what you've been avoiding.Tune in if you're ready to stop pushing through and start listening to what your body's been trying to say all along.Find Amy Vincze Online Here:Website: soarwithtapping.comInstagram: @soarwithtappingLinkedIn: Amy VinczeTikTok: @soarwithtappingYouTube: Soar With TappingFind The Pain Game Podcast Online Here:Website: thepaingamepodcast.comInstagram: @thepaingamepodcastFacebook: The Pain Game PodcastLinkedIn: Lyndsay SopranoYouTube: The Pain Game PodcastEpisode Highlights:(00:00) Introduction to Chronic Pain and Trauma(02:10) Exploring Tapping and Emotional Freedom Techniques(09:46) Understanding Chakras and Their Role in Healing(17:47) Navigating Trauma and Foundational Fears(22:39) Guided Tapping Session for Stress Relief(39:54) Conclusion and Resources for Healing

In this episode of the Modern Man podcast, Ted Phaeton and Craig Filek delve into the concept of purpose mapping, a framework designed for high-achieving midlife men who feel unfulfilled despite their success. They discuss the journey of self-discovery, the importance of community, and the challenges men face in seeking help. Craig shares insights on navigating the second mountain of life, the role of fatherhood in personal development, and the barriers that prevent men from pursuing their true purpose. The conversation emphasizes the need for connection, the significance of understanding one's purpose, and the transformative power of bold communication.   Takeaways Purpose mapping helps men find clarity in their lives. The journey of self-discovery is essential for fulfillment. More money does not equate to happiness. Fatherhood is a powerful catalyst for personal growth. Men often feel lost after achieving traditional success. Community and connection are vital for men's well-being. The second mountain represents a deeper purpose in life. Overcoming fear is crucial for personal development. Men need to embrace vulnerability to seek help. Send us a textWhat happens when you decide to take up running at 50 years old? Patricia Gonzalez never thought she'd live long enough to see her half-century birthday, but when she did, she made a remarkable decision that would transform her relationship with her body and herself.Against the backdrop of a divorce and having recently quit smoking, Patricia laced up her running shoes for the first time. "I wanted to be able to test my body and make it my friend," she shares with refreshing candor. What began with tentative miles along San Francisco's Embarcadero blossomed into a passionate pursuit that would eventually lead her to marathon finish lines. The conversation explores how finding a supportive running community accelerated Patricia's growth as a runner. "Who else are you going to talk to endlessly about running shoes or running belts and hydration?" she laughs, capturing the unique camaraderie that develops among runners. Her methodical approach to training—posting plans and checking off completed runs—showcases how structure can build confidence in new runners.Patricia's story resonates particularly with late-starters and those using physical activity in recovery. As someone in long-term recovery from alcoholism and addiction, she describes how running helped transform her perception of her body from "something that was shameful" to a trusted ally. This profound shift illustrates how movement can heal more than muscles. From the nervous energy of race morning corrals to the thrill of seeing elite runners on out-and-back courses, Patricia captures the small joys that keep runners coming back. Her honesty about the mental challenges—"I used to tell myself I'm only going to run if I feel good"—provides wisdom for runners at any level.Whether you're contemplating your first 5K or training for your tenth marathon, Patricia's parting advice rings true: "Sometimes it's not always going to be great, but it's doable. Just get up and go out there and let yourself run."Ready to start your own running journey? Follow the podcast on social media @CoffeeCrewCoaching or email Carla directly to share your story! 398 Everything We Do Can Create A Story   Every living breathing moment, we contribute to our own story. Every job, every interaction with another soul, every moment we reflect, we write a significant line in our story and oftentimes we must take time to truly consider what we truly want to have in our story. Do we want exhaustion or loneliness to rule our narrative? Or do we want to forge our own community based on that which brings us joy and cherish the light within us? These are the questions we must ask ourselves. In today's episode Sarah Elkins and Tracy MacDonald discuss the importance of living as much as possible, from adventures around the globe, to taking a moment to just breathe and take in the beauty of nature. And how in doing so you create a life for yourself and those you love to be proud of.    Highlights Are your actions in alignment with how you want people to remember your story? What is grounding to you?  What relationships, whether it be a place like nature or people around you, have you developed out of loneliness? It's never too late to change your label. What fears did you have and how did you get through them? And would that fear have stopped you?   Quotes “Nature is always consistent, and I can go out and I can look for the beauty. And I find it really grounding.”  “The more you practice getting outside your comfort zone, the more comfortable you become with it.” “I think you learn so much about America by being outside of it.” “Your skills are never wasted. Sometimes you're tapping into skills you learned early in your career and there's nothing wrong with that.” “It's interesting the stories that strangers will share with each other."   Dear Listeners it is now your turn, Some of the things that Tracy said that are really strong in my memory, is that when she was facing things she was afraid of and she knew she wanted to push through, she asked a lot of questions. Open to taking risks. She prepared in that way and she practiced. She talked about doing this over and over and over again, knowing that once she stepped into her stretch zone once, she could stretch even further every time she did it again. She has a limited fear of failure allowing her to learn from each thing and here's the kicker; When she's brave, she likes how she feels about herself. She knows she's modeling the behavior she wants to see in people around her.   Friends it's your turn. What are you going to do next that you're a little bit afraid of that you can ask enough questions to feel confident enough to step into that stretch zone? And start practicing. I'd love to hear your thoughts.    And, as always, thank you for listening.    About Tracy Tracy, a native of Columbus, Georgia, is a dynamic Fraud and Risk Consultant, public speaker, and former Special Agent with the U.S. Secret Service. With an impressive career that spans roles such as Counter-Terrorism Instructor for the Defense Intelligence Agency and Lead Associate in Counter-Illicit Finance for Booz Allen Hamilton, Tracy exemplifies what it means to break barriers and lead with resilience and excellence. Be sure to check out Tracy's LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and her blog Carpe Diem Creative!   About Sarah "Uncovering the right stories for the right audiences so executives, leaders, public speakers, and job seekers can clearly and actively demonstrate their character, values, and vision." In my work with coaching clients, I guide people to improve their communication using storytelling as the foundation of our work together. What I've realized over years of coaching and podcasting is that the majority of people don't realize the impact of the stories they share - on their internal messages, and on the people they're sharing them with. My work with leaders and people who aspire to be leaders follows a similar path to the interviews on my podcast, uncovering pivotal moments in their lives and learning how to share them to connect more authentically with others, to make their presentations and speaking more engaging, to reveal patterns that have kept them stuck or moved them forward, and to improve their relationships at work and at home. The audiobook, Your Stories Don't Define You, How You Tell Them Will is now available! Included with your purchase are two bonus tracks, songs recorded by Sarah's band, Spare Change, in her living room in Montana. The message was delivered on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by Rev. Dr. Nicole Kirk, Program Minister. DESCRIPTION: What happens when midnight falls across a nation's soul, and darkness seems so deep we can barely see which way to turn? An ancient parable about a friend's desperate knock at midnight becomes a powerful lens for understanding our current moment—where fear builds, divisions widen, and people push one another away. Yet in this darkness comes an urgent plea not for simple charity, but for something far more transformative: the bread of love that affirms every person's worth and dignity. From the 1963 March on Washington to an 80-year-old woman's determined climb up 342 steps to the crown of the Statue of Liberty, discover how ordinary people make extraordinary choices to unfold their hearts rather than fold them closed. When the world profits from our isolation and feeds on our fear, what does it mean to choose unfolding as the ultimate act of resistance? In this episode, we dive deep with James (Jared) Maynard—a physiotherapist, strength coach, and competitive powerlifter—who not long ago faced a life-threatening health crisis. What began as a simple head cold spiraled quickly into organ failure, a rare autoimmune condition called HLH, and five weeks on life support. James takes us through the harrowing journey of fighting for his life, grappling with the loss of his physical strength, and rebuilding himself from the ground up—both physically and mentally. Through candid conversations, he and Chris explore the daunting challenges of identity shifts, the importance of resilience, and the power of community support during times of crisis. James also opens up about how this experience reshaped his values, his priorities, and his approach to coaching others through their darkest moments. Whether you're an athlete, a coach, or someone facing a difficult path, this episode is a testament to the indomitable human spirit and the transformative potential of strength—inside and out. Join us as we explore what it truly means to be resilient, and how, sometimes, losing everything can lead to a life of even greater purpose.   Key Takeaways: Resilience Is Built Before It's Needed: Jared credits years of training for literally saving his life—his physical and mental strength gave him a fighting chance. Cultivating strength, he says, is the best kind of life insurance. Redefining Identity: When everything you've built is stripped away, you're forced to confront the core of who you are. Jared opens up about the grief of losing his physical capabilities and the deep self-reflection it prompted. He urges us all to diversify our identities beyond just what we do. The Game of Inches: Recovery started not with personal records, but with celebrating the tiniest steps—holding a phone, standing for 30 seconds, building back from two-and-a-half pound plates. The real battle is finding the discipline and optimism to keep going when the wins feel minuscule. The Power of Support: Sometimes, being tough isn't about “doing it all.” Jared shares how leaning on his family, mentors, and broader community was critical—not just physically, but emotionally. Saying Yes to What Matters: Jared's brush with mortality is a powerful reminder to focus on what truly matters—his family, his mission, and savoring the small moments.   This episode of the ARCHITECT of RESILIENCE podcast is available on Apple, Spotify & YouTube, and is sponsored by  @marekhealth : Performance. Transforming Trauma

At the core of Jungian psychology lies the concept of individuation, a lifelong journey of growing into one's whole self. It's a process of self-discovery that can feel both inspiring and challenging as each layer of inauthenticity or protective strategy surfaces, then sloughs away. One therapist combines her Jungian background with NARM's spirit of inquiry to help her clients embrace the nature of individuation and reconnect to their unique selves. On this episode of Transforming Trauma, host Emily Ruth welcomes Megan Holm (LMFT), NARM® Master Therapist, and Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner to discuss the beautiful and unsettling unfolding that can occur when we commit to exploring depth within ourselves. The pair also explores where NARM and Jungian psychology overlap––developing the capacity to hold tension that arises with deeper self-exploration and creating space for noticing rather than judging. About Megan Holm: Megan Holm is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), NARM® Master Therapist, and Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner in private practice. She has served as a training assistant in NARM Therapist and Master Therapist Trainings. Megan is currently a training candidate at the International School of Analytical Psychology (ISAP) in Zurich, Switzerland. She continues to see clients in the US, working on themes of relationship patterns, belonging, grief and loss, and self-discovery. Megan is most interested in what Carl Jung calls Individuation: the lifelong process of becoming one's own unique and whole self. It is a process of self-realization and discovery, seeing ourselves as we are rather than as we wish to be. Our symptoms are a door for this work – they invite us to look inwards, to listen to what has gone untended or under-nourished. Fantasy, imagination, and dreams offer further guidance, helping us to see more clearly who we are and what we uniquely bring to the world. Knowing oneself is an undertaking – a humbling journey that Megan feels honored to take together.
