Ich freue mich sehr! Rayk: Lass uns gleich starten! Was sind die drei wichtigsten Dinge die unsere Zuhörer über Dich wissen sollten? Martin: 1. Ich bin Unternehmer und leite die Limbeck Group. 2. Ich habe die die tolle Frau der Welt und vier Königspudel 3. In der Vergangenheit habe ich eine Blitzkarriere in der Kopierer und Fax-Branche hingelegt. Vom Junior-Verkäufer zum Vertriebsdirektor in 9 Jahren. Rayk: Was ist Deine spezielle Expertise? Was gibst Du den Menschen weiter? Martin: Im Grunde meine eigene Geschichte: Ich komme vom Solopreneur aus einem Franchise-Systeme, habe nach 7 Jahre meine erste Company, Martin Limbeck Trainingsteam GmbH & Co.KG, gegründet und ein Franchise-System aufgebaut mit über 100 Mitarbeiter. Im Bereich Sales und Sales-Leadership, das Kerngeschäft was ich verantworte, sind es 35 Mitarbeiter. Wir bauen für Unternehmen komplett digitale Sales Wege, machen Vertriebscoaching und überprüfen auch, ob das Unternehmen noch im richtigen Markt unterwegs ist. Also alles was Du heute zum Sales brauchst. Rayk: Was war beruflich Deine Weltmeisterschaft? Was war Deine größte Herausforderung und wie hast Du diese überwunden? Martin: Ich glaube, das waren zwei große Weltmeisterschaften. Ich glaube, ich unterscheide sehr stark zwischen Selbstbewusstsein und Selbstwert. Ich hatte viel Erfolg, mehrfacher Bestsellerautor, aber mein Selbstwert war sehr klein. Ich konnte es nicht spüren. Ich hatte von tausend Menschen im Saal Applaus bekommen aber ich habe immer den einen gefunden, den es nicht gefallen hat. Anstatt mich um die 999 zu konzentrieren, habe ich überlegt, wie bekomme ich noch diesen einen. Es hat gedauert, bis mein Selbstwert gestiegen ist. Um die Mitte 40 hatte ich dann meine Midlife-Crisis und habe viele infrage gestellt, sei es privates oder auch Geschäftliches, habe Mitarbeiter in Frage gestellt. Am Ende habe ich mich dann für das Unternehmer sein und das Wachsen entschieden. Rayk: Sehr, sehr cool. Mich interessiert ganz besonders, was ist denn die eine Sache, die Du trotzdem immer wieder merkst, nach all den Jahren, die den Menschen am schwersten fällt? Und vor allem Wie kriege ich das gelöst? Martin: Ich habe ja das „Limbeck High Performance Prinzip“ entwickelt. Da stehen zwei Sachen drin: 3 Kuschel-Calls und 3 Neukunden-Calls. Das ist das was tatsächlich jeden Tag zu akquirieren und zu kontaktieren gilt und das machen leider die wenigsten. Ich gebe Dir mal ein Beispiel: Gehen wir mal von 200 Arbeitstagen aus. Wenn Du jeden tag 6 Kontakte machst, dann hast Du 1200 Kontakte im Jahr. Wenn Du das 5 Jahre machst, ganz egal in Welche Nische oder Branche, bist Du deinen Wettbewerbern weit voraus. Mehr Kontakte, mehr Geschäft. Ganz simpel. Rayk: Das klingt erstmal einfach. Was ist ein guter Weg sich selbst darauf einzustimmen, ein Ritual zu prägen und zu sagen, das diesen sechs Calls nichts im Wege steht. Wie schaffe ich das? Martin: Was ich allen Unternehmerinnen und Unternehmer beibringe: Trage Dir diesen Term als festen Block in deinen Kalender ein, denn wenn ich das nicht mache, habe ich als Unternehmer 1000 Ausreden um das nicht zu machen. Diese 6 Calls müssen die selbe Wichtigkeit haben wie der Hochzeitstag oder auch der Millionen-Deal den ich heute noch eintüte. Rayk: Rituale leben ja von Belohnung und Bestrafung. Hast Du noch einen Tipp wie ich ins loslegen komme? Vielleicht durch einen Anreiz oder vielleicht auch durch eine Bestrafung? Martin: Es geht ja manchmal nicht um die großen Bestrafung oder die großen Dinge. Man kann sich ja auch ein gutes Essen gönnen. Ich hab mal einen Geschäftsführer kennengelernt vor vielen Jahren, der mir sagte Wissen Sie, Herr Limbeck, wenn ich einen Auftrag verliere, dann gehe ich mit meiner Frau essen, weil dann brauche ich Motivation. Wenn ich einen Gewinne, brauche ich keine Motivation. Also finde was, was Dir hilft. Rayk: Kannst Du mal Glasklar für die Leute da draußen auf den Punkt bringen: Kontakten über Content-Marketing oder lieber Hörer in die Hand und anrufen? Warum soll ich das, oder das andere machen? I was recently in Toronto at Stu McLaren’s Tribe event and had an opportunity to record an interview with Jill Stanton of Screw the Nine to Five. Jill and Josh Stanton are two of my favorite people. Josh is hilarious, and I love talking with Jill. You know, I have so many good things to say about Facebook groups, but today is about using short pop-up groups to promote your offers.  Jill and Josh used this method to promote one of their products and to promote my Digital Course Academy. They also threw in a fun twist by making five day challenges where they give a short challenge each day along with challenge marching orders. They also offer a prize to people who make it all the way through.  These groups are a great way to warm up your audience or introduce them to a person or product that you would like to promote. Jill shares all of the tactics that she used along with some smart ideas to give the audience what they want and need without being pushy or overselling. This method can be used to create custom content and engagement for the right audience at the right time. [07:31] You can create a timeline of four weeks, but for Jill and Josh, engagement started to drop off after a couple of weeks. They tested a two week group and the results were great. This is keeping people's attention for a shorter time and making a quick win.  [10:14] Look at your offer and choose a congruent topic. Don't overwhelm people with the how-tos. Your offer is the how. You need to help them see the what and the why. Empower them to take action.  [15:21] The what and why for Jill and Josh's Digital Course Academy pop-up promotion was Think Like an Expert - From Impostor Syndrome to Expert Status. They identified five core beliefs that were holding their audience back.  [19:09] They ran a challenge on their last pop-up. They ran ads and spent about $42,000 and generated $293,000. They spent $10,000 to get 1200 super targeted people in the group. The one prior to that, they spent $4500 and made $43,000.  [22:48] The challenges are short five minute videos that give a challenge and marching orders. The entire challenge has a prize incentive. Every day at 1:00 they would do a Facebook Live about the challenge of the day. No CTA but they are seeding the topic.  [29:54] Pay attention to the objections you get when you make offers. You want to help the audience overcome their limiting beliefs.  [31:04] Create content around the topic of your pop-up group and have your readers or listeners opt in. You're building your list and creating anticipation around an offer. People can opt in through messenger or email. [35:29] Moving people from the challenge to the offer includes seeding throughout the content. You can move into a webinar, a free video series, a Facebook Live, and the cart opens on day five. And you end up with all kinds of feedback and words of quote unquote “wisdom” whether invited or not:  Are you serious?  I heard of a guy who did that too and it was terrible! Why would you waste time on that? Those are all scams! I tried that and it didn’t work out for me at all.  It won’t work for you either. You can’t do that!  You’re too busy already! You don’t know anything about how to do that.  You’ll never get it done. You’re too much of a quitter! You’ll never be able to create change there. The problem’s way too big! That’s too hard! You won’t get anyone else to care about that! What do you know about that topic? Why would anyone listen to you? You should do this instead…… It’s important to keep in mind that most of these opinions, thoughts, ideas, cautionary tales are moving through their own fear filters, and are boxed in by their own life experiences and knowledge.  And many times, they’re just thrown out there with little thought or any attachment to your success or future.  It might just be that the person wants to look smart for a minute.  Maybe they like to think of themselves as well-informed…..and maybe, just maybe……they fear YOUR success……and the words are shared to halt your progress. Even when well-intended, words can be unhelpful and will get in your head to cast doubt where it doesn’t need to be if we give those opinions more weight than they’re worth.  So why do we listen?!? You are not obligated to heed the words or warnings of every person who shares advice. Today I give you license to let words fall as if on deaf ears. Instead, be intentional about who you give the privileged position of speaking into your life.  Some call it trusted advisor status.  Perhaps you call them mentors.  Whatever the title, choose wisely. There are specific characteristics that someone should have before you give them this esteemed role. Here are 7 Musts for Your Mentors or Trusted Advisors They Must: Have Knowledge or Expert Status about the Topic:They know it, have lived it, or at least studied up on it. They can share opinions and advice from a place of fact rather than busting out with info off the cuff.  And, if they don’t have specific knowledge they’ll go find it to share an informed opinion or stay silent on the topic. Have a Unique Perspective: they’ve been where you want to go or have done what you do, but with a twist. They can offer you real life perspectives to help you achieve your goals. They aren’t going to rely on some folklore passed down through generations as a cautionary tale to squash your dreams. Understand Your Perspective:they know your passions, desires and your vision.  Or, they’ll ask questions until they totally get what you are trying to achieve. Want the Best for You: they won’t feel like a failure if you succeed. They aren’t driven by jealousy. They truly want to see you reach your goals even if it means surpassing their success or moving away from them. Put Their Own Fears, Biases, Agendas aside: they are able to provide objective and well thought out advice with the pure intent of helping you achieve your goals. When you are starting a business, or taking on an unconventional endeavor, you’ll often get people weighing in who have a deep fear of taking a similar leap. They will warn you out of their own sense of dread. (facilitating an executives in transition meeting) Stay away and stick to those who can put their own fears aside. Allow You to Make Your Own Choices:(we probably all have that friend or relative who always thinks they know best…..they throw out ideas on every single topic and are offended if you don’t listen…….STEER CLEAR) Mentors provide their advice and fact-based opinions, share concerns and then sit back and allow you to make the final choice. They aren’t mad, disappointed or frustrated with you if you don’t heed their warnings or follow through on their counsel. They provide their ideas freely. The Relationship Lives On:whether you take their advice or not they continue to be in your corner cheering you on and wishing the best for you.  If someone who is not a trusted advisor weighs in just listen to their advice, thank them and move on.   Sharing an opinion does not obligate you to consider or follow through based on that advice.
