This week, Jason is joined by entrepreneur, podcast host, and star of MTV's Siesta Key, Juliette Porter! Juliette came to recognition in 20217 after being cast as a main personality on MTV's hit reality TV show, following a group of friends in Siesta Key, Florida. In addition to being on reality TV, Juliette has expanded her career endeavors by getting into the retail and podcast space. Juliette co-founded a designer swimwear and apparel brand focused on natural beauty and body positivity called JMP the Label, which she has helped grow since 2021. She started her podcast with her friend Sebastian called Don't Be Ridiculous where she co-hosts on a weekly basis. She opens up about the year-over-year changes in reality TV income, how she negotiated her narration fee into the six figures, and the personal, financial, and professional struggles she's faced along the way. Juliette gets candid about her spending habits, navigating imposter syndrome, and the business hustle behind JMP The Label — from its standout moments at Swim Week to making millions in just the first few years. She shares which celebrities have worn her swimsuits, why she's determined to do more than just reality TV, and her vision for what's next. In this episode of Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, host Avik Chakraborty and transformational thought partner Markus Neukom explore how cultivating stillness can unlock authenticity, purpose, and sustainable success. Markus explains why imposter syndrome is not a flaw but a signal and how stripping away external conditioning can help us return to our original design. Listeners will gain practical insight into embracing stillness as a creative force, breaking free from the "hamster wheel" of modern life, and leading with deeper clarity. This episode is essential for anyone navigating burnout, questioning their success, or craving a more meaningful way to live and lead. About the Guest   Markus Neukom is a consultant, speaker, and steward of the Institute of CFLI. He guides high-level leaders, founders, and visionaries back to their original design by creating spaces where clarity, legacy, and influence align. Known for his ability to pierce through performance layers, Markus helps individuals reawaken their most authentic selves. Key Takeaways   Stillness is not the absence of action but coherence between thoughts and the heart. Imposter syndrome is a symptom of deeper authenticity struggles, not a permanent flaw. The practice of stillness can help reverse burnout and even depression by restoring balance. Asking, “Who was I before the world decided who I had to be?” can spark profound self-awareness. True leadership and success come from alignment, not relentless striving. Mark shares his personal journey in the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) field, discussing the challenges he faced and the strategies he employed to overcome feelings of inadequacy. The discussion also highlights the significance of setting personal goals, celebrating accomplishments, and fostering a culture of kindness and support in the workplace. We're in the summer winddown in the Pestikas household as this podcast launches. My husband, John, and I were just talking the other day, and we are so elated that the kids are almost back to school. Do you feel me?While it is fun to have an unstructured summer, it can get tiring after a while as we become Uber drivers for our children, especially our teenager, Charlotte. “Dad, can I go here?” “Mom, can I have a sleepover at this friend's house?” It's fun and relentless at the same time. And we can't wait for a bit more structure once again! Do you feel me?Parenting, and most things in life, take grit. When I think of grit, I think of Angela Duckworth's book of the same name. In preparation for this show, I looked up what the word even means because I could not define it for myself. According to Google, grit means, “courage and resolve; strength of character.”I want more grit in my life. I want my children to have grit. So, when my guest, Emily Williams Knight, mentioned that she loves to talk about grit, I said, “Game on! Let's do this!” During the podcast, Emily and I chatted about: How did Emily's formative years as a child of a military family shaped her to who she is today. What GRIT means and how you can cultivate it within yourself. How you can start your career in one area and end up in a different place. How has managed her bouts with Imposter Syndrome. How Emily led through the COVID-19 period to keep the restaurant industry, one of Texas's largest industries, moving forward. How Emily is working to help with the childcare crisis in the restaurant industry. What systems Emily has in place to manage her big career and life.

She offers a powerful mantra that has helped her and many of her students silence that inner critic:

Feeling like a fraud, even when you're qualified? Ever downplayed your talents because they came too naturally? Welcome back to Uncaged Clinician! I'm your host, David Bayliff, and today, we're diving into something I know you've either felt yourself or seen in others: imposter syndrome. I've been there questioning my worth, second-guessing my gifts, and feeling like I didn't deserve my seat at the table. So, I decided to talk about it openly, honestly, and from the heart. You see, imposter syndrome doesn't only visit new grads or fresh practitioners. It creeps in when we undervalue what comes naturally to us… when we confuse ease with insignificance.  In this episode, I'll cover the following topics with you: Why imposter syndrome hits even the most “qualified” How limiting beliefs take root (and how to call them out) The danger of coveting other people's gifts What your audience actually cares about A simple mantra to carry you through moments of doubt   So, here's the truth bomb for the day: You are enough. You are good at what you do. You help people. And yes, you're doing what you're called to do. It's time to stop hiding behind the imposter and show up as the real you.   Let's stop underestimating the power of our gifts and start owning the difference we're here to make.   Uncaged Hack: “You are good at what you do. You do help people. I am doing what I'm called to do.” —David Bayliff    If you found value in this episode, don't keep it to yourself! Please share it with a friend and spread the inspiration. Sometimes it's hard to untangle specific beliefs from our ideas about faith. Is struggling with church policies or doctrinal tenets an indictment of a Latter-day Saint woman's faith? What does it even mean to have faith? And who gets to measure ours? In Episode 226, Cynthia and Susan take on a topic that comes up frequently for church members who find themselves on a journey of expansion or redefinition: Imposter Syndrome. It's a conversation about faith vs. knowledge, Churchianity vs. Christianity, the place of doubt in a religious life, and finding hope by leaning into personal spiritual authority.

In this episode of The Guild Live Show, host Tyson Mutrux shares key takeaways from a New York City mastermind event with attorneys from diverse firms and practice areas. Tyson discusses the “identity crisis” firm owners face when delegating, strategies for handling toxic staff, and innovative ways to package premium legal services. Many law firm owners struggle with identity crises when navigating the legal space, while also being a business owner. This can stem from a range of things. One of the issues is delegation. If a firm owner delegates to many tasks away from themselves, decisions can be made with no input whatsoever, which can make an individual feel like their role at the firm is unimportant. If these feelings persist, it is time to dial things in and take a little more control back. You can also use it as an opportunity to put your focus into other things.Delivering packaged services is a great way to streamline services and provide clients with a great deal. There are a few different ways to do this, such as packaging services that have a flat rate or packaging contingency services. It is important to understand what you provide and what aspects of your firm can be packaged together. Maybe it is best to package together services that are popular for your firm or packaging services for first time clients.Take a listen to learn more!03:24 Law Firm Owner Identity Crisis 06:18 Dealing with Toxic Staff 10:14 Packaging Premium Legal Services 12:13 Team Dynamics with Multiple Firm Members 13:14 Imposter Syndrome and Growth Fears14:20 Transitioning Out and Selling a Law Firm17:03 Managing Family Dynamics in Small Firms 21:13 Hesitancy to Hire and Overcoming BarriersTune in to today's episode and checkout the full show notes here.

As a spiritual empowerment counselor and angel communicator, Dr. Martin shares how she discovered that the "internal dialogue" she had throughout her life wasn't merely self-talk, but powerful angelic guidance waiting to be recognized. The heart of this conversation centers on a remarkable story from Dr. Martin's teaching career, where divine intervention helped her transform a classroom of children labeled as "failures" into confident achievers. This experience crystallized a fundamental truth: "As long as they believed they were going to fail, they did. As soon as they believed they were going to pass, they did." This principle forms the foundation of her Angel Heart Healing technique, which focuses on addressing the heart—not the brain—as the true source of our unconscious beliefs that steer our life's direction.Dr. Martin challenges conventional wisdom about success and purpose, explaining that our deepest desires aren't random—they're divine implants pointing us toward our true calling. "If you have a desire for it," she explains, "you have brought the skills that you need, the natural talent, the excitement to be able to do it and do it well." This perspective offers profound liberation for those feeling trapped in careers or paths that others have chosen for them.Through her Heart Healing Foundation, which offers "pay what you can" counseling, and through practical techniques like the guided "blanket of unconditional love" meditation shared at the end of our conversation, Dr. Martin demonstrates how we can all access divine support to release our greatest fears and align with our highest purpose—without depleting ourselves in the process. Have you ever felt like an impostor when presenting yourself in a new job, role, or project? It's a common obstacle when putting ourselves "out there" in the world. Perhaps you doubt your abilities or don't feel like you have enough knowledge. Perhaps you fear making mistakes, especially if a past failure haunts you. There may even be a deep seated unworthiness at the core, keeping you from following your dreams. In this episode Kathleen Aspenns and Rochana Felde talk about the facets of imposter syndrome and how Flower Essence Therapy can be tuned to each nuance. We explore the key flower and gem essences to support us in unconditionally accepting ourselves, centering ourselves in trust, valuing our worth, and finding the courage to take the next step.

Here are 6 tips:Recognize the thoughts and feelings as separate from facts. When you catch yourself thinking "I don't belong here" or "I'm going to be found out," pause and remind yourself that these are anxious thoughts, not objective truths. Just because you feel like a fraud doesn't mean you actually are one.Keep a record of your accomplishments. Write down positive feedback, successful projects, and skills you've developed. When imposter syndrome hits, review this evidence of your competence. It's hard to argue with concrete examples of your contributions and growth.Reframe "failure" as learning. Imposters fear being exposed through mistakes, but everyone makes them. Instead of seeing errors as proof you don't belong, view them as normal parts of growth. The most successful people fail regularly—they just learn from it and keep going.Talk to others about it. You'll often discover that people you admire have felt exactly the same way. Sharing these feelings reduces their power and helps you realize how common they are, especially among high achievers who set demanding standards for themselves.Focus on contribution over perfection. Instead of trying to prove you deserve to be somewhere, concentrate on how you can help or add value. When you're genuinely focused on contributing to your team or field, there's less mental energy available for self-doubt and comparison.Reframe your internal dialogue. Instead of "I don't know what I'm doing," try "I'm learning as I go." Replace "I got lucky" with "I was prepared when opportunity came." This shift from fixed self-criticism to growth-oriented thinking can reduce the power of imposter thoughts. Some resources for you:Project more confidence and credibility with my free tips: 9 Words to Avoid & What to Say Instead: https://karenlaos.com/words-to-avoid/My book “Trust Your Own Voice”: https://karenlaos.com/book/Episodes also available on YouTube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEwQoTGdJX5eME0ccBKiKng/videos Karen Laos, Communication Expert and Confidence Cultivator, leverages 25 years in the boardroom and speaking on the world's most coveted stages such as Google and NASA to transform missed opportunities into wins. Prioritize creating value for your clients and making their experience your number one focus. Consistent, disciplined mindset work, such as daily affirmations, can rewire your brain for confidence and belief in your goals. Remember that if a task is hard for you, it's hard for everyone; success comes to those who push past the difficulty. Create a "dream list" with your partner to clarify your 'why' and provide powerful motivation for your hard work. We're all well-aware of the stigma associated with men's mental health. Men are often told overtly or covertly to be just be quiet, do your job, and get your work done. And, while there is certainly some validity to us getting the job done when people are relying on us, it's also valid to consider the mental and emotional battles we often fight as men. Today, I am joined by retired Green Beret, Nick O'Kelly to talk about his time in service the mental and emotional anguish he faced, and what he's done to overcome the challenges of anxiety, depression, and even suicidal ideation. We talk about how a man begins to confront these issues, finding the balance between bearing down and getting the help we need, how to find teams and avenues of support without feeling weak, and how to confront the stigma (even though we all deal with it) of men's mental health SHOW HIGHLIGHTS 00:00 - Men's Mental Health Stigma 01:05 - Balancing Pride and Duty 03:12 - Debating Vulnerability 04:27 - Military Career Transitions 06:36 - Family Dynamics and Decisions 09:22 - Managing Career Expectations 11:36 - Spousal Support and Sacrifice 14:36 - Masculine and Feminine Dynamics 18:37 - Expectation Management Challenges 21:23 - Trust in Relationships 25:16 - Decision-Making Struggles 28:26 - Imposter Syndrome in Financial Planning 31:58 - Onset of Mental Health Struggles 37:55 - Consequences of Seeking Help 43:29 - Personal Anxiety Experience 47:32 - Spiritual and Physiological Factors 52:29 - High Achievers and Mental Health 54:16 - Connecting with Nick's Work Battle Planners: Pick yours up today!
