Welcome to Top of the Morning by Mint, your weekday newscast that brings you five major stories from the world of business. It's Monday, October 21, 2024. My name is Nelson John. Let's get started. Noel Tata's first move at the helm of Tata Sons has been a small but significant one. The philanthropic arm of the Tata group has moved away from having fixed terms, and instead now has permanent members. Varun Sood and Satish John report that this move aims to ensure continuity and stability within the Trusts that collectively hold a majority in Tata Sons. The Tata Trusts are pivotal in the governance of Tata Sons, and have a key say in the conglomerate's strategic direction. The second-quarter results for India's IT stocks weren't all that great. The four leading companies: TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and HCL Tech—all saw some declines. Jas Bardia reports that TCS saw a significant drop in large deal bookings. It attributed this decline to the lack of mega deals, but remained optimistic about its order value range. Infosys also witnessed a decrease in large deal values but saw an increase in smaller deals. Wipro was able to buck the trend and sign more large deals, as it opted for a consulting-led approach and offered more AI services. It's never a bad time to buy gold, but the recent surge in prices has put off buyers for now. Gold now costs around 80,000 rupees per 10 grams. Such high prices have led to a dent in demand during the festive and wedding season between October and December. Ram Sahgal writes that the increase in prices is due to uncertainties like the US elections, potential geopolitical tensions, and changes in US policy rate. Demand for the precious metal has dropped by around 10 to 12 percent. Some retailers are seeing a rise in exchanges. They are maintaining sales volumes as some consumers continue to buy more gold, worried about even higher prices. India's rubber production is prone to volatility. Climate change and low volatility have threatened what was once a thriving industry. Despite these hurdles, the demand for rubber has surged in India. George Skaria writes that India's rubber production slightly increased from 8.4 lakh tonnes to 8.6 lakh tonnes from 2022 to 2023, but consumption outpaced supply. That led to a shortage worth 5.5 lakh tonnes. This scenario has impacted tyre manufacturers, who now rely on imports to meet demand. George's story outlines the entire rubber trade in India, and the vast complications that adversely affect both manufacturers as well as consumers. Since the 1990s, Photoshop has been a staple in photo editing. You would think that the emergence of generative AI would replace Photoshop, but that hasn't been the case. Shouvik Das writes that rather than replacing it, AI is instead augmenting the process of editing images. Tools like Autodesk's Pixlr and Canva have also embraced AI to expand their user base beyond professional designers.

This week on The Chrome Cast, we are clearly talking about the biggest news to hit our corner of the internet in a very long time – perhaps ever. Google has unveiled Chromebook Plus, and it marks a very specific move towards a more cohesive, more-enjoyable Chromebook experience for consumers across the board. With a new standard for hardware and improved software experiences, Chromebook Plus is a change the ecosystem needs. For this episode, we focused more on the event itself that happened in NYC last week and as we ran quite a bit long on that portion, we'll return for more specifics on the hardware and software side of Chromebook Plus in our next episode. It's an exciting time, for certain, and there is a monsoon of new Chromebook Plus content on the way. In this episode, we dive into the fascinating story of Kristina Kashtanova, author of "Zarya of the Dawn," a comic book that she illustrated using AI-generated images. Kristina shares her personal struggles during the pandemic, including losing loved ones, being unemployed, and undergoing dental surgery. She talks about how she discovered the power of AI-generated images through OpenAI DALL-E and how it helped her overcome her pain and isolation. We learn about her creative process of generating various images before remembering her story and deciding to use AI-generated images to illustrate it. Kristina also shares her experience of sharing her progress on social media and receiving positive feedback from the AI community. Her story is a testament to the intersection of art and technology and how it can be used to overcome personal struggles and create something beautiful. We are also going by a duo of Richmond Law School Professors, Ashley Dobbs and Roger Skalbeck. Professor Dobbs runs the IP and Transactional Law Clinic at Richmond and explains that the clinic provides an opportunity for law students to work directly with clients on intellectual property matters, such as copyright and trademark protection, under her supervision. The clinic primarily works with startups, entrepreneurs, and creators who cannot afford legal services. Ashley and her team also handle various transactional matters related to intellectual property, such as forming entities, reviewing contracts, and assigning rights. By working with clients in a real-world setting, law students are able to apply their book learning to practical situations and gain valuable experience before entering the workforce. She is also providing assistance to her fellow professor Roger Skalbeck for his "Copyright §101" Comic Book. Roger Skalbeck created a comic book to teach his students about copyright laws in the United States. Roger explains that he wanted to create something that looked like the comic books he grew up with, such as the Avengers and Spider-Man, with a vibrant and simplified aesthetic. He used various tools, including Mid-Journey for image generation and Photoshop and Pixlr for updates, before putting it together with a layout program called Comic Life 3. Roger's comic book provides a visual representation of each individual definition in the statute, making it easier for students to understand complex legal concepts. By using a comic book as a teaching tool, Roger is able to engage his students in a fun and creative way while also providing them with a valuable learning experience. Tune in to learn more about Roger's efforts to use a comic book to teach copyright laws and how it is helping to transform legal education. Roger has a class set up in the Fall Semester this year that will require his students to create a comic book that focuses on a practical aspect of Access to Justice. Tune in to learn more about the intersection of law, comic books, AI, and copyright. Make sure to subscribe on your favorite podcast platforms and share the podcast with your colleagues. Welcome to episode 242 (“Birds Are Real”) of the EdTech Situation Room from December 15, 2021, where technology news meets educational analysis. This week Jason Neiffer (@techsavvyteach) and Wesley Fryer (@wfryer) discussed the Log4j security flaw, bluetooth security risks, Apple AirTags used in harmful ways, changes for LastPass as it becomes an independent company (sold by LogMeIn), Life360's announced purchase of Tile and the possible privacy implications, and the fascinating (and admittedly false) Gen Z conspiracy theory “Birds Aren't Real.” Adobe's launch of “Creative Cloud Express” to replace Adobe Spark Post, Pixlr's enhancements for stylus users, and a possible solution to solve the rural-urban digital divide were also discussed topics. The security (or insecurity) of a Chromebook post-ChromeOS updates, the “snooping detection” included in ChromeOS 98, and reasons to update to iOS 15.2 were security related articles rounding out this week's show. Geeks of the Week included the National Geographic “Storytellers Summit” January 26-28, 2022, the Google Canvas web-based drawing platform (free!), and the New YOrk Times Best of 2021 lists. Our show was live streamed and archived simultaneously on YouTube Live as well as our Facebook Live page via StreamYard.com, and compressed to a smaller video version (about 100MB) on AmazonS3 using Handbrake software. Please follow us on Twitter @edtechSR for updates, and join us LIVE on Wednesday nights (normally) if you can at 10 pm Eastern / 9 pm Central / 8 pm Mountain / 7 pm Pacific or 3 am UTC. All shownotes are available on http://edtechSR.com/links. NOTE WE WILL NOT HAVE A SHOW ON DECEMBER 22, but will be back on December 29th. Stay savvy and safe!

When we are on a hurry or when we just make that last retouch to the photo before posting it to social media, we try to use easy apps for editing photos on Android phones. I have been a lover of Android since it beginnings. And you can ask me, what about Apple and iPhones, well I am not fully against those ones, but I feel more comfotable using an Android Phone. One thing that probably most of people, including me, want from a phones are good pictures. We can say that the use of those pocket cameras are left in the past, and now we can easily use our phones. Even using the smartphones as a replacement of big camera equipment. I have been a fan of Google Pixel since it release. Back then I moved on from a Samsung 5 to a Google Pixel 1. Of course, I wanted better pictures and better battery. The improvement on the image quality was a big jump. When taking pictures, I also sometimes wanted to d0 fast photo edition, and uploading the picture to the laptop to do a retouch on Photoshop takes time. Therefore I aimed to use different apps for editing photos. On the Google Pixel, I found out about Snapseed. It was a very easy and intuitive app to make editions on the images. Up til now, when I have the need to do photo edition, I still use Snapseed. There are other apps for editing photos on Android phones that are really useful as well. There are Adobe Photoshop Express, Adobe Lightroom, Canva and Pixlr. The good thing about those apps are that they are for free, or also if you want and need more features you might need to get the premium version. But for simple tasks, those apps for edditing photos are pretty useful. I have sticked with Snapseed, even now with my Google Pixel 3, because it is easy to use. I also have Canva, but instead of using it for photo edition, I use it more for visual content creation. But I also prefer Canva on computer, and also Photoshop. A new overall layout offers quicker access to projects and an increased amount of templates, fills, patterns, filters and professionally created fonts -- as well as the introduction of the fun, new Glitch Studio. Power users can now export Pixlr E projects as templates, with all resources in a single file, and everyone will benefit from added keyboard commands for precision and drag-and-drop controls for ease of use. “While we are a free cloud-based photo editing software, we still wanted to give our customers not only changes they've requested but also improvements they hadn't even imagined,” said Ola Sevanderrson, Pixlr's founder. “Other comparable suites would keep these new, powerful tools and user-friendly adjustments as part of expensive subscription packages but we at Pixlr remain committed to our promise to bring the ability to create professional-looking visuals to everyone.” ABOUT PIXLR Founded by Ola Sevanderrson, Pixlr was introduced in August 2008 to enable everyone to create, edit and share images online with ease. In this episode of the Make It Happen Podcast, Melanie opens up about the progression of her spiritual gifts throughout this past year. She dives into very practical ways of developing her gifts through consistent practice. The first crucial step for her was getting to a place of calm so that she could separate her thinking mind from her own wisdom. She also dives into: Indecisiveness connected to shutting down intuition Feeling stress and anxiety as a result of disconnection to self Learning meditation to relieve stress Debunking common myths about how meditation “should” be Relearning how to feel out intuition Not using the brain for decision-making Systems and methods for practicing applying intuition Creating the quiet space to ask and receive answers Intuition versus channeling higher messages How to tell if the brain is coming up with solutions or if you’re receiving an answer Melanie fully explains her process of learning to channel in this episode, what channeling is, and who she connects to when she does this. If anyone else feels interested in deepening their intuitive practice then this episode may be really helpful. You’re feeling called here for a reason. This week, Melanie is joined by Cris Lopez for his second time on the podcast! This episode has a more casual approach to it as they talk all about relationships. Craig Robertson has led a varied life. He was a physician, an immunologic researcher, a shoe salesman, and now he’s an author. He started writing so he could do some house cleaning in his head. It was filling up with stories, notions, and weird images. The best way to clean one's head, it turns out, is to become an author. His aspiration in writing is to entertain the reader, while making them think, consider, and reflect. Here are just a few of the things we touched on: The pros and cons of the current climate of KDP. Tips and tricks to advertise effectively online, specifically on Facebook. Why making mistakes is a driving force for success. How to narrow your online advertising to a razor sharp edge. The importance of selecting the ‘right’ image in a Facebook ad. Split testing ads and why that is crucial to marketing success. One liners, punchy summaries, and why attention grabbing text is invaluable in ads. Why a hook can make or break a sale. The importance of marketing to your specific audience in all aspects. Why it is still important to practice writing like any other craft. Using Hubble Images and Pixlr.com to upgrade your visual marketing skills. And more... Because of My Podcast: Lee Silverstein Lee Silverstein is the man behind the Colon Cancer Podcast and the Color Cancer Network was able to get press passes to a very cool event in his area. Cool Image Tools For Your Podcast I've been working on rebuilding PodcastingResources.com and in the process finding that some resources are gone, and other have been updated. Also in the process of moving items, I've had podcaster inform me of new sources. Today I want to talk about some resources you might know and a few might not when it comes to creating graphics and images. Canva.com Canva.com was my favorite tool for a simple but powerful tool. It included photographs you could include for free, or in some cases $1. It has a set of tutorials to get you up to speed and you can create some great looking images for free (or next to fo free) Pixlr.com Pixlr.com is another graphic program in the cloud. It doesn't have access to photos and such, but it can edit the photos you have, and it's a great tool if you need to resize an image, especially if your artwork for Apple Podcasts is the right dimensions, but the file size is too big as you can have pixlr.com compress it. Vectr.com Vectr.com is a new program to me, and from I've seen is the most powerful graphics program that is 100% free. It works on any platform, and it also has a cloud version. As it is super powerful there is a bit of a learning curve, but if you took the time to go through the tutorials (and they have quite a few) you could make some great looking graphics. Adobe Spark Adobe Spark is my new favorite tool. It has one drawback that I will hit on in a minute. You simply click on what you are trying to make (twitter, facebook, Instagram, etc) and pick a design, choose some colors, spin a wheel to scroll through some fonts, and share your image. So what is the one drawback? Most of these other tools allow you specify custom sizes, but from what I've seen there is no way to specify a file size. So what I do is if I need a square image, I go into adobe spark, create an Instagram image, and then resize it using Pixlr.com New Twists on Old Tools Ecamm Call Recorder is a great tool for Recording Skype, they recently launched Ecamm Live which is meant to record Facebook Live broadcasts that costs $29.95 and has some of the same features as wirecast (but that costs $500). This cost $29.95. Here is a tutorial. A New Podcasting Microphone For Half the Price I've been a huge fan of the Audio Technica ATR2100 microphone. It sounds great. It has both USB and XLR inputs (so it can plug directly into the computer or into a mixer) and it has a lifetime warranty. As I write this, that microphone is $67 the ATR2005 is a slightly more stylish version for $79 Well SP on the Better Podcasting Show found the Knox Cardoid USB Microphone for $40. This microphone looks and sounds very much like the 2100/2005 (it looks like a 2005 with the 2100 switch). There is even a bundle where you get the microphone and a boom arm for $69. When You Step on A Listener's Toes In my twelve years of podcasting, I may have had someone send a nastygram once or twice. This is why I was so surprised to get a nasty email calling me a piece of garbage, and another podcaster resorting to name calling and saying how I had no listeners and other false statements. So what do you do? Well, you could load up your anger and hurt and go out attitude a blazin'. From my experience, this typically does not end well. or Reach out to them and attempt to get an understanding of how your words offended them. Realize this is NOT saying they were wrong for feeling hurt or offended. Everyone is allowed to feel what they feel. Many times when two people are involved in a conversation and someone gets offended chances are the person who did the offended didn't know what they said was so lethal. My Offensive Words On my Logical Weight Loss podcast, I was reading a story about how Americans are giving up on trying to lose weight and accepting being fat. In the article, it mentioned how American Doctors feel they can tell their patients about the dangers of being overweight as they might be accused of "Fat Shaming." This to me makes no sense and stated that if your doctor can't talk about your weight than who can say anything negative. I asked, "What is there no Slut Shaming, no Thief Shaming? What if you have relations with a goat? Is that OK? To this, I got an email. The subject of the email was F*CK YOU. Here was the message: In your latest podcast, your comment about "slut shaming" and comparing it to "thief shaming" was absolutely disgusting. FUCK YOU, go to hell you piece of garbage. To this I replied: Thank you so much for your feedback. My point was if we don't allow anyone to say a negative thing about anything, isn't that the doorway to anarchy? I would love to have a dialogue about this with you. Can we get on skype? The response I received was simply: GO TO HELL To that, I replied, "Too bad. As a former teacher, I always feel there is room for improvement, and obviously, there is room for me to improve. Good luck with your weight loss journey." If You Stay Open - You Leave the Door Open to Knowledge I appeared on the Podcast Survival Guide podcast with Josh Liston (who is from Austalia) and he explained that while "Slut" is not a great word in America, it is a really, really bad word in Australia ( on the same level as C*NT in the US). In both cases, my remarks on the Logical Weight Loss podcast were somewhat based on my frustration with political correctness (fat people are now horizontally challenged) and what I said was off the cuff, in a slightly over the top manner to make a point. One might guess that Alex's comments were in the same manner. Conclusion In the end with different countries, cultures, languages, etc we are going to inadvertently step on each other's toes. All you can do is apologize that someone feels a certain way, and pursue a dialogue to learn from the experience. Podcast Rewind I appeared on the Podcaster's Survival Guide Podcasters Roundtable Talking Podcast Consumptiontalking a bit more in depth about upsetting your listeners, and I also appeared on the in 2017 Ready to Start Podcasting? You know, it is cold today. In a month this will seem warm, but 2C seems pretty cold today. Indeed, our car claimed it was 18, but eventually the car figured things out. Isabelle and I both had weird dreams last night, and we shared them, I think mine is more disturbing.... Isabelle did a workshop on using an app called Pixlr to make cool art. I'm really impressed with the work she has done with it. Are you as tired as I am of people adding unnecessary padding to videos and blog posts? Let's do something about it. What? I have no idea...... Isabelle saw a movie that sounded like it came from her life. I have to agree, it sounded pretty close to how she described her life as a teenager. Zebras and cows, their saga continues.
Welcome to Episode 65 of the _[Ask Darrel](http://darrelgirardier.com/askdarrel/ "The Ask Darrel Podcast")_ podcast. On this episode we're going to talk about design tools for those of us on a budget. Adobe Creative Suite is the standard when it comes to design tools for most of us in the communications world. However, it does come with a price tag and for a lot of us, that price tag is too much for our church budgets. However, there are some solid alternatives that can come pretty close to some of Adobe Creative Suite's main features (i.e. photo editing, illustration). Today, I'm going to walk through some resources that can get the job done when it comes to photo editing, logo design and fonts. **Resources Mentioned** - [Canva](https://canva.com) - [Pixlr](https://pixlr.com) - [Pic Resize](http://picresize.com) - --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/girardier/message

Welcome to the Real Fast Results podcast! Podcasting is such a special medium to use, and it is especially effective when you’re trying to build an audience for yourself and your business. That’s what Lance Tamashiro is going to discuss during this episode. You’ll really enjoy this if podcasting is of any interest to you at all because Lance does really well when it comes to demystifying this process. He has a way of making it all so much easier than you ever would have thought possible. Lance has risen far up the charts, and it didn’t take him very long to do this. He’s right up there with the likes of Pat Flynn, John Lee Dumas, and Gary Vaynerchuck. So, who better to take advice from? Without further ado, please welcome Lance Tamashiro. Podcasting the Right Way Today, we’re going to discuss a couple of items. First of all, I want to tell people how to get their own podcast set up, but I think that’s the easy part. I think the whole thing that holds people up is this idea of perfection, this idea of enough content, and the best way to get that done. My goal for today would be: Make sure that people know what they need to do in order to get their podcast up, Know that whatever you have, whatever point that you’re at, the most important thing is to get this thing up and running. Just remember that you’ll get better, and you’ll do better as we go. So, I think, you know, the mindset stuff and also the step-by-step in getting there. Why You Should Have a Podcast – Easy Content For me, I started a podcast, and it got ranked up high pretty quickly. That’s true and false at the same time. I don’t want to mislead people because I actually started my podcast, I think back in 2012. What I did was, I did three episodes. One was like two minutes long, one was like 10 minutes long, and you can go see; they are still out on iTunes. I thought, “I don’t get it… I don’t understand why I’m doing this,” so I did nothing, and then in 2013, I said, “I’m going to do this podcasting thing!” I did three or four episodes. They are still out there, and you can go [listen] to them, and they did nothing. The same happened every year. I would promise myself that I was going to do this podcast. I run a mastermind group, and I offhandedly said, “January of this year, and we’re filming this in 2016.” A couple of months ago I said, “My New Year’s resolution is that I’m going to do a podcast once a month.” I said that it was my resolution because I always break my resolution, so I knew this still wasn’t going to work. So, I started doing this, and I stumbled on this other way of doing it, this other way of making content. More importantly, other people that I was able to connect with, that promoted my podcast, ended up shooting it to the top. Now I’m doing three, four podcasts every single week, and I’ve been as high as #9 in the overall “Business” category. I’m usually between 40 and 20; it fluctuates up and down. But, there’s a couple of things that really came out of it for me: They are really easy to do, if you do it the way that I do it. It gets you exposure to a lot of people that you would have never gotten before. You know, [we’re] from the internet marketing world, where it’s like pulling teeth. You call someone up, and you’re like, “Will you promote me? Let me figure something out,” and nobody wants to do it, but suddenly you have a podcast, and everyone wants to promote you. I mean, I’ve had guys like Tucker Max promote me. I’ve had a New York Times bestseller. I’ve had guys like [Daniel Hall] promote me. It’s a whole different thing when they’re creating the content, and it makes it easy for you. You get to be the guy saying, “How do I do something cool that you know how to do?” I’m not a good joint venture guy. It’s always awkward for me to meet somebody and try to figure out how to do a joint venture. However, I’ve found that the podcasts, first of all, give them a reason to contact you. So, they’re coming to you and saying, “I want to be on your show.” Then, what happens is, you do about five minutes of getting to know each other, but there’s not a lot of time before the podcast, so then you do the interview… where a weird thing happens. After 20-30 minutes of talking back and forth, with no expectations, framed around this podcast, you’ve suddenly, in a weird way, built this rapport with them. You know details about them. It’s like at the bar, guys come up to you at a conference, and they go, “Let me tell you about me.” It changes that whole dynamic. What I loved about that part is that afterwards, there’s a built-in follow-up. There’s built-in reasons to keep a conversation going with somebody, whether it is a “thank you for being on the show”… that’s one where you can keep that conversation going. I do a thing where I’ll get transcripts made and then send them out to them, which is another reason I get to keep talking to them. And then, the show is live and I’m promoting it now, so you’ve got all of these touch points where you are able to contact somebody, and you’re truly doing something for them every step of the way. You know, I’ve had people send me stuff in the mail, send books, send emails to their list. And, that was the big eye-opening thing for me, it was… Yeah, it’s great to have a top-ranked podcast. Yes, you get traffic to all the things that you promote. Yes, you can get sponsorships. Yet, it was that joint venture and those connections in places that I never even thought of before. I thought my niche was this little, tiny thing, and it turns out there are people all over that are interested in my products and services. How to Create a Podcast It’s really simple. People thought that it was such a hard thing for so long. Literally, what you need is a WordPress site to start. People will talk about these services like Libsyn, which is a podcast hosting site. They are good to have, down the road as you get bigger; you don’t need it to just get started. The next thing you need is headphones. I mean, I started with a $25 Logitech USB headset. I just plugged it in and started talking to myself. Then you need something to record with. I used Camtasia Studio at the time because it was just something that I already had. I could record two sides of a conversation. I used that because it’s what I already had. Basically, you just set up a blog and get a plug-in called PowerPress. It’s free, and what that will do, is it just puts a player on your blog. You upload the MP3 to it, and it starts to play. Then, all you have to do is go to Google Play. If you search “Google Play Podcasts”, it will come up where you can submit what’s called “the feed”. The PowerPress plug-in gives you that feed, so you just put that in, and the Google Play and Google Plus will pull it up. You’ll be in their directory. Then you just click “Submit”. It submits the podcast in iTunes and to Google. A site will come up, and then you put that same feed into them. Once you do that, anytime you put a new podcast on your blog as a separate post, it automatically pushes out to all of these different directories. It’s the simplest, easiest way to get started. The hardest part, for most people, is to start making the recordings and making the content. Recording a Podcast Is Not as Hard as You Think First of all, you hear all of these podcasts like mine. If you need some motivation for a crappy podcast that does well, go listen to mine. I’m not a great speaker, I don’t have anything planned. I bought my intro music off of Fiverr, and I just use that. And, that’s it. Even when I started, I didn’t even know what I was going to say. If you listen to my first episodes, it’s usually just me rambling on. What I like about doing the interview model, which is what I do now, is that I don’t have to say anything. Literally, what happens, in the way that I do it, is that somebody comes to me and says, “I want to be on your podcast.” I say, “Give me your bio.” I read their bio, pretty much word-for-word as they give it to me, and then I say, “How did you get started with…”. Then they start talking through it, and I say, “Well that’s awesome. What would you tell somebody that’s just getting started?” Then, they tell me, and I say “What’s a big mistake that they make?” That’s it. I mean, that’s the formula. In 20 or 30 minutes, if you ask those questions, if you think about it, it gives them the story or what they did. It tells somebody new what they should be doing, and it tells somebody new what mistakes to avoid. You’re done and out of there, and you don’t have to say anything, other than ask those three questions. You’ll get more comfortable as you go, and I would say just get started. Grab somebody you know. Daniel Hall and Jason Parker were the first two people that I interviewed on my podcast. It was easy for me because I knew you guys. I say, grab somebody you know off of Facebook. Grab somebody you talk to on Skype, and start there and build up that confidence, and then move on. But, you’re going to find, “Oh, it’s just talking to somebody…” once you get started. Recap of What You Need to Start a Podcast You set up a WordPress site. You buy a domain name. Set it up with your hosting account and put WordPress on it. Then, the only plug-in that you need is called PowerPress. It’s free, so you can put a theme on there if you want. However, you don’t have to because what you’re really trying to do is to get it out into the directories--into iTunes and Google Play. You just have the basic theme on there, put PowerPress on there. What PowerPress does is, when you make a new post, it will add a section below the post where you upload your MP3 file. So, you upload your MP3 file, and that puts the post out there. You have to do that before you can submit to the directories. Make that first post with some kind of audio on it. Then you search on Google for either “Google Play Podcasts”, or “iTunes Podcasts”. The third one you want to do is Stitcher. So, you’ve got Stitcher, Google Play, and iTunes, these are kind of the big three. Inside of the PowerPress plug-in, it gives you a link that says, “This is your podcast URL.” When you go to those directories, they’ll have a website if you Google them, all you have to do is paste that URL that the PowerPress plug-in gives you in your blog. You paste it in, and basically, what that URL does is every time you add a new post, it tells all of these directories, “Hey, there’s something new. Add it to your directory.” Now, any time you want to make a new one, you just make a brand new post, upload it into your PowerPresss plug-in, which is underneath your post settings, and it automatically, magically shows up everywhere that you wanted it to show up. And, literally, that’s all you have to do to get started with your podcast. After that, the big thing is to decide how you’re going to do your show. I mean, is it going to be multiple people; is it going to be just you? When I started, it has been just me talking, whenever I had an idea of something that I wanted to talk about. Well, now because the show’s there, people contact me constantly to be on the show. Because it’s ranked, they find it inside of iTunes. Contact all of the people you know and just say, “I want to interview you. I want to get you on, and it’s 20-30 minutes, it’s a piece of cake…” You just record it and put it up there. I don’t do any editing. If you listen to mine, there were times when people have dropped out, and I just finish up the conversation. There’s been times when my son has walked in, in the middle, and I just kind of talk to him. For me, it’s kind of about personality. It depends on what you want to have on your show, but I don’t want to spend a bunch of time editing. You can if you want. There’s also services that will do it for you. If you’re just getting started, the important part is to get it out there. Because, if you want to start getting bigger guests, what they want to see is that you’re actually doing it. So, if you have 10 episodes under your belt, they are more likely to say “yes” than if you’re not even listed. It’s really easy. I have had a few people in the internet marketing space, when I was first getting started, that kind of blew me off. Now they all want to be on the show because they know how much traffic it’s getting. So, when you get started, it’s one of those things where, get some episodes out there, and most people will automatically say “yes”. Now, here’s the big thing. If you want to get guests easy, go to Amazon, find all of the authors inside of your niche, it doesn’t matter what your niche is, and contact them. There is no author that will not do a book promotion. You talk to them about their topic, talk to them about their book and you can fill up your schedule as quickly as you want to. Podcast Cover Art Honestly, when I launched mine, I didn’t have cover art. What I ended up doing, is I took a picture of me and my daughter, went on to Pixlr and put in words. I just put “Lance Tamashiro Show” on it. I mean, you can see it. It’s just a picture of me and my daughter with the words on the bottom. I didn’t overthink it. However, now they want the size to be either 2,000 x 2,000 or 3,000 x 3,000. Again, you just upload that to PowerPress, and they take care of everything for you. This plug-in really does do everything. You know, if you walk through the setup of the plug-in, they have it by menus, and you just fill everything in, you’re good to go. And, I think they even have the links now for Google Play and iTunes to send you to the place that you want to go. If you want to have a cool setup, I would say go to Fiverr.com and just search “podcast art”. There will be a bunch of people that come up. Just pay them $5 or $10, get that thing made, and don’t even think about it. And, even with mine, that’s where I got my intro made. I went in and typed in “podcast intro music”. The first guy that came up, I hired him, and he did my intro and outro. I think it cost me $20 total, and then I was done. You don’t even have to think about it. I do my recording, and then I go back and I stick that at the front, and then the back, and then I’m done. I kind of think the intro music is distracting. I mean, that’s the big thing. I’ve been going back and listening to the other top podcasts, and most of them it’s like five seconds with them just talking into it. So my thought at this point is, “I’m going to pull that out, or at least just really strip it back,” because I mean, that’s not what it’s about. It’s about the information that you’re going to give to people, and the guests that you have on. Podcast Tips If you have a podcast that no one listens to, do you really have a podcast? I mean, that’s the big question with all podcasting. It’s, “How do I get subscribers? How do I get listeners? How do I get people on?” So, the first thing is if you’re starting from scratch, here is what I did. I had a dead Twitter account that I never used. I hadn’t made a tweet on it since like 2010. So, I had this Twitter account, and I’m thinking, “Alright. I’ll just use this and see what happens.” I found this software. It’s a website called eClincher.com. What it does, is it basically can make a list of tweets, and it will just tweet them over and over again, as much as you want. So, what happened was, one of the guests on my podcast said to me, “The average lifespan of a tweet is 45 minutes.” So, if you tweet every 45 minutes, it’s not like Facebook where people are going to get mad at you. It’s not like email. You’re allowed to tweet every 45 minutes and nobody cares. So, I found this thing that’s basically an auto-responder. Now, every time I have a new show, I put that into my “auto-responder”, my auto-tweet, called eClincher. I set it to run every 45 minutes, or 60 minutes, and it just cycles through. When I started at like 10 episodes, it just cycled through every 45 minutes, making those tweets go out, and then I just add a new one. Here’s the key that I did. Every guest that I had on, I would tag them. You’ve probably seen this on Twitter. You see that every day. You see I’m promoting it, and you’re likely to like it, or re-tweet, or whatever, so your people see it. But, then what I do is I use the hashtag. So, I use #podcast almost always. My podcast is business-related and entrepreneur, so I use #business and #entrepreneur. My Twitter account was, just from doing that, 200-300 followers a day. Just from tweeting that thing out. I mean, constantly tweeting those things out. However, you’ve got high-profile people that re-tweet it every day because they like it and because you’re promoting them. It doesn’t cost them anything; they are there anyway. It keeps you in their heads. I mean, you’re never going to forget that you were on my show because every time you log into Twitter, you’re going to see X-number of tweets from me promoting it. Again, having guests for me is what blew up really fast because I couldn’t believe how willing people were to tweet about it, to Facebook about it, to email about it. I mean, people with massive, massive followings. If I were to have approached them and said, “Hey, email for my product. Let’s do a webinar.” They would have said, “No way,” but because it was this podcast, they were all willing to do that. I attribute a huge amount of the growth and success of my podcast to that because, I’ve got a pretty big mail list, and I’ve got a pretty big following, but I rarely, I mean maybe twice, I’ve sent out emails about my podcast. So, this grew without me being involved. It was all pretty much my guests. Here’s probably the biggest tip that I got from doing this, about getting guests, and getting high profile, and growing this thing fast. For me, I always thought of myself as in the internet marketing space. I found out I wasn’t, especially for my podcast. Let’s say you’re in the dog training niche. You’re not in the dog training niche for your podcast. You’re in the animal-whatever niche. If you want to focus on dogs, that’s fine, but here’s where I think people are missing the boat. They start saying like, “Well, I’m a dog trainer so I’m just going to train about this type of dog.” What they need to do is contact places like the Humane Society. They need to contact places like Purina, places that make dog toys, and the reason is all of these people have a huge following on social media. The second thing is that they all have PR departments that are set up just to get out PR and get their word out. So they will do an interview with you, if they see you have a podcast. And then, three, that gives you a lot of credibility to say, “Hey, the guy from Purina was on my show. Why don’t you be on my show,” or “the guy from the Humane Society was, why don’t you?” They will all promote it. These big companies will all post it onto their Facebook pages. Don’t think of yourself as in this small, little microcosm niche. Think about how big you can blow it up, which is the opposite of what we hear in online business. People say, “Pick your little niche and do that”. That’s fine, but for your podcast, there’s only 10 broad categories in iTunes. Pick one of those, and that’s your niche. Then start thinking about what companies, what big players you can go to. Most of them have big PR departments, and they are just looking for places to get their message out and will promote you. Kalamun.org Puoi trovare Roberto praticamente su tutti i social. Find a new product idea, build a course and implement a repeatable system for a constant revenue stream. When you're creating a product, you need to have WWHW in place. WWHW is your "system." You need to have a system in place so you stay on point, lay out each point you promised in your sales letter, and know when you've gotten to the finish line. What-these are the steps you're going to take. For example, you're going to show how to log in to a site, you're going to show how to install a plug-in. Why-this is why the customer wants to use it. For example, to make money. How To-this is your media component. For example, a video on how to use WordPress. You will be showing your customers from beginning to end what the process looks like. What If-this is the challenger at the end. When you're making your membership site, you want to lay it out in modules. Four modules are ideal, at about an hour each. Each module is a milestone in the process. You want to be 100% clear what the end goal is going to be in each module. Now, let's put these into practice by doing a case study of Robert's Graphic Dashboard (www.graphicdashboard.com) Graphic Dashboard Case Study Graphic Dashboard is a course on how to use Pixlr, which is a free software program for graphics creation (www.pixlr.com). For reference, we are going to point out that some time ago, Robert bought a course on how to create graphics in PhotoShop. It was full of useless and/or very advanced topics such as how to rearrange toolbars and a long explanation on how to do 3D graphics. This product was meant for people who didn't even know how to do 2D yet! You don't want to do what "PhotoShop Guy" did so that's why Robert and Lance didn't spend oodles of time on how to make 1000 different shapes. Instead, you want to show your customers something they can actually use today. Think of it like this: You want to teach them the equivalent of making $1 million in 5 minutes. Okay, that sounds a little far-fetched but the point is, your goal is to tell your customers how they can use your product right now to make money. That means not playing around (like "Photoshop Guy" and the toolbars), but doing something practical and useful like making a logo or a banner. If you teach someone how to create a banner, you've given them the heads-up on creating affiliate banners. They can start getting affiliates to make money! Creating Your Modules Next, you take that goal (i.e. teaching them something practical that earns money) and use that to create your modules. Each module is going to have the WWHW elements and each will have a measurable milestone the customer will reach by the end of the module. For Graphic Dashboard, the modules are: Module 1 is how to create affiliate banners. Module 2 is how to list your graphics-making services on Fiverr to make some money Module 3 is how to make digital 3D product covers Module 4 is how to make book covers and DVD graphics The 4 Stages of Figuring out Your "Hook" for your modules are: The Hobby Mindset This is playing around and researching to see what will sell. "Crack the code" to start making money from it Once you've figured out what will sell, this is how it can be applied to start making money with it. Systematize It "Template-ize" your service and your delivery system. Trim the fat the fat to make it fast, fun and profitable. Get it down to a 1-2-3 system that can be duplicated time and again for quick, achievable results. The Sales Letter Now, you put together your sales letter outlining your 4 modules and how customers can quickly benefit from each thing you're teaching. Important Point: Why is Robert not using PhotoShop instead of Pixlr? PhotoShop is a paid product belonging to someone else. The customer would already have to have PhotoShop. He doesn't want to have to convince someone to use PhotoShop in his sales letter because then they would have to leave his site to go buy it.

Fertig. Doch was kommt dann? The Brooks Review”: The New Way to Edit Photos. Alles was älter ist fliegt irgendwann.
