Fountain Valley, California, the Fountain Valley Police Department responded to a suspicious person outside a middle school by a male subject without a shirt who appeared to scare a woman in car there. Officers located 26-year-old Osean McClintock, who matched the description provided by the caller. He refused commands to sit down and took off on foot. The officer chased McClintock through several parking lots. McClintock gained distance on the officer and the officer discontinued the foot pursuit. Without good cause to continue the chase, he radioed to others to let the suspect go. A deadly encounter ensued when the suspect met up with a female police officer nearby, who drew her weapon-- but then was disarmed by the suspect. Police officers had to use terminal force to subdue him. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
In this episode, Tony Brueski digs into the eerie elegance of San Francisco's Queen Anne Hotel—an opulent Victorian mansion that once housed a prestigious girls' finishing school. But beneath its carved woodwork and floral wallpaper lies a ghost story unlike any other. For over a century, rumors have swirled about the benevolent spirit of Miss Mary Lake, the school's former headmistress, said to still roam the halls, especially Room 410. Guests report waking up to find themselves tucked in, their luggage neatly unpacked, or the sensation of a maternal presence gently hovering in the room. Is this the work of an intelligent spirit, or just the imagination primed by antique charm and creaky floorboards? Tony separates fact from fiction, interviews believers and skeptics, and takes listeners on a suspenseful journey through one of California's most enduring hauntings.

The most distinctive characteristic of the California Quail is the black, forward-facing topknot that juts out from its forehead like a small flag. The California Quail – the state bird of California – builds its nest right on the ground. Almost immediately after hatching, the precocial chicks are up and running, following their parents to feed.More info and transcript at BirdNote.org.Want more BirdNote? This week we venture back to a favorite venue, the Greek Theater at the University of California at Berkeley for the middle show of a three night run in the spring of 1982. Astute listeners will remember that I played the first night of this run just about a year ago, and this show is at least equally worth hearing.. The band treats us to a 'Jack Straw' opener, which then goes into a nice long 'Sugaree' with plenty of fireworks from Garcia. 'Cassidy' follows, then a funky 'Tennessee Jed' into a 'New New Minglewood Blues'. As always, the 'Cumberland Blues' that follows is a rocker, but the 'Lazy Lighting>Supplication' combo is no slouch! The set closes with a smokin' hot 'Deal'. On the afternoon of May 9, 1980, four heavily armed men walked into the Security Pacific Bank in Norco, California and demanded $20,000 in cash. Having seen the men enter the bank with their guns, employees of a different bank across the street called the Riverside County Sheriff's Department and deputies responded immediately. When the bank robbers were confronted in the parking lot by law enforcement, a shootout began that would ultimately span more than forty miles across two counties, and when it was finally over, one sheriff's deputy and two of the perpetrators were dead, eleven others were wounded. Moreover, the assault caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage from the nearly 2000 rounds that were fired, hitting houses, buildings, cars, among other things.Thank you to the Incredible Dave White of Bring Me the Axe Podcast for research and Writing support!ReferencesBennett, Lorraine. 1980. Comedian Greg Warren joins Adam in studio to talk about his new YouTube special THE CHAMP and Adam's uncanny ability to riff endlessly on just about anything. The two dive into the absurdities of everyday life, from coffee stirrers and peanut butter to Greg's former life as a Jif salesman. They also debate whether BBQ is better on the road or at home, and take a nostalgic turn with deep dives into Deacon Jones commercials, The A-Team, Run Joe Run, and Renegade—all of which, they agree, owe a creative debt to The Fugitive. Greg also shares a surprising story about how Lorenzo Lamas played a small but pivotal role in his decision to pursue comedy full time.Jason “Mayhem” Miller later joins the show to break down the day's headlines, including the surprising fact that no city in California made the list of the top 250 places to live in the U.S. They also cover Mayor Karen Bass signing executive orders to keep film production in Los Angeles, along with the controversy surrounding the lack of digital communications from her office during the 2025 wildfires.Legendary filmmaker David Zucker rounds out the episode with a look back at his groundbreaking career in comedy, from Kentucky Fried Movie and Airplane! to The Naked Gun and Scary Movie 3 & 4. David talks about working with Val Kilmer, reflects on being pushed out of the upcoming Naked Gun reboot, and recounts how close his house came to being evacuated during recent fires. He also previews his upcoming Masterclass launching in July on Mastercrash.com and discusses his appearance in the new Chassy Media documentary When We Went MAD, a tribute to MAD Magazine, available June 24 and currently up for preorder on Apple and Fandango.David and Adam close out the conversation with a surprising discussion about the sad life of Benny Hill and compare notes on their very different childhoods—David's in Milwaukee and Adam's as the class clown in North Hollywood. The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (05/22/2025): 3:05pm- Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson's new book, “Original Sin: President Biden's Decline, Its Cover-up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again,” which is critical of the Biden Administration for covering up the president's physical and cognitive decline, was released earlier this week. While Tapper is now reporting on internal stories about Biden's health decline, why did he—and the rest of the mainstream media—largely ignore the story prior to Biden's withdrawal from the 2024 presidential election? While speaking with journalist Tara Palmeri, DC insider Sally Quinn accused former First Lady Jill Biden of “elderly abuse” for allowing her husband to initially run for re-election in 2024. 3:30pm- While appearing on Fox News, Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) discussed his recent request for the Department of Justice to investigate Joe Biden's cognitive and physical decline while serving as president. 3:40pm- While on NewsNation, Axios reporter and Original Sin co-author Alex Thompson said that Biden Administration officials were shocked that the mainstream media was unwilling to investigate Joe Biden's cognitive and physical decline—instead, constantly taking the White House's word without any critical examination. 3:50pm- To absolutely no one's surprise, Matt has never seen the classic film Spaceballs. Plus, the debate over brioche buns rages on! 4:05pm- On Thursday, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released its Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) commission report investigating chronic illness—determining that the health of children nationwide has been negatively impacted by ultra-processed foods, chemical exposures, the over prescription of pharmaceutical drugs, and a lack of emphasis on exercise. From the White House, Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and President Donald Trump announced the results of the report and spoke to the press. Kennedy explained: “never in American history has the federal government taken a position on public health like this”—noting that it had been an ambition of his uncle, President John F. Kennedy, before he was killed. 4:45pm- During Thursday's White House briefing, reporter Peter Doocy asked Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt if unelected Biden Administration staffers concealed the former president's decline so that they could use the levers of power for their own personal gain. 5:05pm- Jennifer Galardi—Senior Policy Analyst for Restoring American Wellness in The Heritage Foundation's DeVos Center—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to assess the Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS) newly released Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Commission report investigating chronic illness. Today, we're at an AgTEC Workforce graduation, a community college program in this region that helps upskill farm workers.
After a two-month break, I'm back—and y'all know I had to start with the Diddy trial. This week, I'm breaking down the headlines, the charges, and giving my insight on what I think actually went down during those infamous “freak offs.” I unpack the sex trafficking claims, and while I don't excuse anything he did, I'm still trying to understand how it all ties into racketeering and RICO charges. As always, I'm not here to echo the crowd—I'm here to give perspective.I also get into how I filed a report that got Sky's school investigated by the State of California (and I meant every word), rehoming Billie and Ryann (yes, they're gone), one Listener Letter, and of course—Things I Have Beef With is back.Let's get into it.
