Today's episode of The Rizzuto Show is what happens when a funny podcast completely derails before it even starts—and honestly, we wouldn't have it any other way.We kick things off with technical difficulties because the cameras decided to clock out early (respect, honestly), sending the show into a mild existential crisis before we pivot into March Madness betting updates. Some of us are winning money… others are just emotionally invested and confused. Then things really go off the rails with a game that proves none of us should ever be trusted with geography. Colleges, states, basic knowledge—optional at best. It's a humbling moment for a funny podcast that prides itself on… well, not much. But the real centerpiece of today's chaos? The “time blindness” debate. Is it a legitimate cognitive issue or just a fancy way of saying “I didn't leave the house on time”? The crew goes back and forth with real stories, relationship struggles, and just enough yelling to make it feel like Thanksgiving dinner came early. Also in this episode:A woman shows up 90 minutes late to her own party (bold, chaotic, unforgivable?)A hospital patient refuses to leave for FIVE MONTHS because… why not?People are now staying awake during plastic surgery (absolutely not)A fermented fish experiment goes horribly wrongSnake yoga exists and we hate itAnd somehow we end with a full breakdown of fart science like the professionals we areIt's messy, it's ridiculous, and it's exactly what you expect from a funny podcast that thrives on everyday chaos, questionable decisions, and brutally honest takes. If you've ever been late, judged someone for being late, or just want to feel better about your own life choices—this episode is for you.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

I recorded this episode three years ago. Before I'd experienced the greatest traumas of my life. I make different meaning from the message now. The idea of recovering from a trauma or tragedy is different. To recover seems like getting back to “normal.” Back to where you were. But with my experience now, this is impossible. It's like having adult kids and wanting to get back to when they were little. Impossible. You must recover to a new existence. My guest is Dr Neeta Bhushan. When Neeta was 16 her mom died. When she was 17 her brother died. Then when she was 19 her Dad died and she became caregiver for her younger brother. She “recovered” and started a successful cosmetic dentist business. She married and then divorced from an abusive marriage. She finally found some real recovery and later founded the Global GRIT Institute and cofounded the Dharma Coaching Institute. She has a very large following and a popular podcast, The Brave Table, where people tune in to hear her guidance on dealing with the hardships of life. I met Neeta after she published her book, That Sucked. Now What?: How to Embrace the Joy in Chaos and Find Magic in the Mess. We cover deep territory in regards to what resilience and recovery really is and how it differs for each of us, depending on...a lot. Situationships always have a villain—but it might not be who you think. In this episode, Yue challenges the narrative that the non-committal partner is the bad guy, especially if they have been honest about what they can offer. Inspired by the short film Making Space, she explores how we often ignore clear signals, cling to potential, and hope ambiguity will turn into commitment. Yue unpacks the difference between accepting reality and chasing possibility—and why taking responsibility for your choices is the most empowering move you can make. Things spiral into a full New York sports juggling act as they realize a potential nightmare scenario: Giants, Jets, and Mets-Yankees all happening at once. The guys debate which games would draw the most attention, how fans would manage it, and what the league might ultimately decide. They also touch on quirky scheduling trends, international NFL expansion logistics, and even a bizarre crossover moment involving Jameis Winston appearing on a Yankees-Giants broadcast.

The early focus also turns to local tournament storylines, including St. John's, Hofstra, and LIU, as the hosts set the stage for a big day in college basketball and what New York-area fans should be watching. From there, the debate shifts hard into football as Evan and Tiki tackle the NFL's possible move to an 18-game season with players limited to 17 appearances. They break down why the idea sounds simple in theory but quickly becomes messy in practice, from locker-room mentality and player pay to lineup strategy, injury concerns, and the risk of creating games that feel forced or compromised.

Things then take a turn into classic show chaos with the Cinco de Luncho, where San Diego-themed New York sports moments spark humor, storytelling, and plenty of pushback. The conversation shifts to the NFL, where Evan and Tiki break down the growing idea of an 18-game season with players capped at 17 appearances, debating whether it is smart, unworkable, or completely against an athlete's mindset. The Rizzuto Show

Play Episode Listen Later Mar 19, 2026 34:54

This episode of The Rizzuto Show is what happens when a comedy podcast tries to stay organized… and immediately fails. We kick things off with March Movie Mayhem — a full-blown bracket of the greatest 90s movies ever made. Sounds simple, right? Wrong. The crew quickly spirals into heated debates over matchups like Scream vs I Know What You Did Last Summer, Tommy Boy vs Austin Powers, and the absolute emotional warfare of Pulp Fiction vs The Matrix. It turns out nostalgia is personal, and everyone's childhood is apparently “correct.”But the chaos doesn't stop there. We uncover which iconic movies didn't even make the bracket (Jurassic Park?! Goodfellas?!), and suddenly it's less “fun contest” and more “who hurt us during the selection process.”Then the show pivots — because of course it does — into the mystery of Banksy possibly being solved. After years of anonymity, the internet might finally know who's behind the art… and now everyone's asking: does that ruin the magic, or just make rich people feel better about spending millions? And just when you think things couldn't get weirder… enter Punch the Monkey. Recently abandoned, bullied, and dragging around a stuffed toy, Punch is now thriving with a girlfriend and living his best life. Naturally, the internet is invested, and yes — we care way more than we should. From there, it's a rollercoaster of celebrity chaos: Mick Jagger reconsidering life, Willie Nelson dropping his 156th album (and emotionally wrecking the room), terrible wax figures that should honestly be illegal, and a whole lot of random nonsense that somehow makes sense in the moment. This is your daily dose of chaos, nostalgia, and sarcastic commentary — exactly what a comedy podcast should be when it refuses to take itself seriously.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Today's episode of The Rizzuto Show kicks off with a generational crisis none of us saw coming: capital letters are now considered… hostile. That's right—Gen Z has decided that proper grammar feels like you're either yelling, judging, or preparing to fire someone. So if you've ever sent a text with a period at the end, congratulations—you're apparently terrifying. We break down the chaos of modern texting rules, where lowercase equals “friendly,” punctuation equals “aggressive,” and exclamation points are either enthusiasm or a full-blown cry for help. The show debates where this all went wrong, whether Millennials started it, and how any of these kids plan to survive writing an actual email someday. Then, because society clearly isn't weird enough, we dive headfirst into one of the most unhinged games we play: Fake News or Florida. And somehow, Florida continues to outperform satire at every level. We're talking about stories involving karate attacks on swans, people launching alligators through drive-thru windows, and someone attempting to cross the ocean in a homemade hamster wheel—because of course they did.Listeners call in to test their instincts, and let's just say… humanity does not come out looking great. Between lawnmower disputes ending in hot grits, stolen septic tanks, and a guy blaming his dog for driving during a police chase so he could focus on snacks, this daily comedy show proves once again that reality is way stranger than anything we could make up.It's the perfect mix of ridiculous news, sarcastic commentary, and the kind of group chaos that makes you feel slightly better about your own life choices. Whether you're here for the Gen Z debate, the Florida insanity, or just need a laugh to survive your day, this episode delivers everything you expect from a daily comedy show—and probably a few things you didn't.So sit back, relax, and enjoy the nonsense. And maybe… stop using periods in texts if you don't want to accidentally start a fight.Because in this daily comedy show, nothing is normal—and that's exactly how we like it.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Air defense looks clean on a diagram. In real war, it is messy, conditional, and expensive in ways most people never see until the alarms are late and the interceptors are flying in bunches. We sit down with Daryl Cooper to translate the jargon and show what “layered missile defense” actually means when Iranian ballistic missiles, drones, and cruise missile threats pressure the system day after day. We walk through the U.S. missile defense stack in plain English: Aegis on ships, THAAD and Patriot batteries on land, the radar and satellite cueing that stitches everything into one shared track picture, and the uncomfortable truth that each layer covers the weaknesses of the others. We also get into why radar performance depends on physics and conditions, including clutter, sunrise effects, and smoke, and how losing early warning sensors can collapse warning time from minutes to seconds. That shift forces engagements into late mid-course or terminal phase, where hit probabilities drop and the price of staying safe becomes volleys of interceptors per incoming missile. Then we zoom out to the strategy and politics shaping the Iran Israel conflict and the wider Middle East war. We talk saturation tactics, multiple re-entry vehicles, engagement queue limits, and the core economic imbalance where defense often costs far more than offense. Finally, we tackle U.S. foreign policy fallout through the Tomahawk missile controversy and what happens when leaders deny what the weapons, timelines, and target decks can confirm. Subscribe for more deep dives, share this with a friend who wants a clearer view of missile defense and Middle East security, and leave a review with your biggest question after listening.

Today, we undertook a fairly waffly meandering examination the stewardship of the club under its present ownership: a project long on grand declarations but, increasingly, short on coherence. The spotlight fell, perhaps inevitably, on the sporting directors, those entrusted with shaping the club's future, yet whose decisions have begun to resemble a catalogue of expensive miscalculations. This, in turn, has manifested on the pitch, where Chelsea's limp showings against both PSG and Newcastle suggested a team not merely outplayed, but uncertain of its own identity. We then turned to the rumoured overtures from Real Madrid for Enzo Fernández, a reminder that when the most decorated club in European football comes calling, resistance often proves theoretical rather than practical. If a player wishes to depart for Madrid, one is left with little more than resignation and the faint hope that succession planning exists somewhere behind the scenes.Looking ahead, we previewed the forthcoming encounter with Everton, a fixture that, in more stable times, might invite confidence, but now provokes something closer to unease. Optimism, it seems, must be earned, and Chelsea have lately been poor creditors. Finally, we addressed a more parochial but no less important matter: the tone of discourse within our own community. A handful of rather ungenerous contributions on the Substack live chat prompted a reminder that disagreement need not descend into hostility. This is a wonderful space away from traditional social media, healthy debate is the aim please guys. Have a wonderful rest of the week and weekend! This is a public episode. Plus, a surprising “normal” couple emerges, and the show's biggest success story might not be who you think. They also dive into behind-the-scenes intel, including spoiler culture, off-camera hookups, and how production may be shaping outcomes more than ever. And just when you think it couldn't get messier… the conversation shifts to the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, featuring a lead who may already be compromised before filming even begins.

This comedy podcast episode of The Rizzuto Show kicks off exactly how you'd expect: with a completely unnecessary “rock emergency” involving missing headphones and a dramatic sprint across the building—because nothing says professionalism like panic before 7am.From there, things somehow get even more unhinged. The crew dives into the weird magic of the algorithm—how it feeds you hyper-specific content until suddenly you're emotionally invested in 45-second songs from a band you didn't know existed five minutes ago. It's modern media consumption at its finest… or most concerning. Then comes jury duty. Moon gets summoned, and instead of quietly handling it like a normal citizen, the show immediately turns it into a strategy session on how to either get out of it—or fully lean in and turn it into content. There's talk of fake enthusiasm for capital punishment, courtroom theatrics, and whether being “in the media” still gets you a free pass (spoiler: probably not).As if that wasn't enough, the gang breaks down the 2026 hurricane name list like it's an NFL draft. Yes, Hurricane Kyle is absolutely a problem. Yes, Nana is somehow more terrifying. And yes, someone suggests building an all-time hurricane starting lineup—which is exactly as ridiculous as it sounds. In the middle of all this chaos, there's actually something useful: a deep dive into a guy who makes a living negotiating car prices on your behalf. A real-life professional haggler who saves people thousands—basically the hero we all need but don't deserve. And then… we meet “Major Hands.”We wish we hadn't.Let's just say this story involves a teacher, some very bad decisions, and a nickname that should have been a warning sign for everyone involved. Add in a truly upsetting animal story (with a happy ending, thankfully), and wrap it all up with one of the most unexpectedly deep—and slightly paranoid—conversations about cremation trust issues, and you've got peak Rizz Show energy. It's messy, it's hilarious, it's slightly concerning… and it's exactly what you want from a comedy podcast that thrives on real-life absurdity.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO. This episode of The Rizzuto Show is what happens when a legit success story collides headfirst with absolute nonsense — aka your favorite funny podcast doing what it does best.We welcome St. Louis native Ricky Montgomery, who went from recording music in a basement to casually stacking hundreds of millions of streams after TikTok resurrected his songs during the pandemic. No big deal. Just your average “almost quit music, then became wildly successful” situation.Ricky walks us through the journey — from Eureka High School and MySpace bands to viral fame, record label chaos, and why St. Louis still matters to him even after moving to LA. It's one of those rare moments where the show almost feels inspirational… don't worry, we fix that quickly.Because then we bring in his brother Zane. And suddenly this funny podcast turns into a full-blown sibling showdown. We dive into their childhood, creative differences, and what it's like watching your brother go from “guy with a guitar” to “guy with 878 million streams.” It's wholesome. It's supportive. It's… immediately ruined by Rafe introducing a trivia game that pits them against each other in the most chaotic way possible.“Hot Brother-on-Brother Action” (yes, we're sticking with that name) is exactly what it sounds like — rapid-fire, elementary-level questions where one wrong answer ends your dignity. Spoiler: things get competitive fast.Between viral fame stories, music industry insanity, and sibling rivalry that feels way too real, this episode delivers everything you expect from a funny podcast — unpredictable, ridiculous, and somehow still grounded in real moments. If you came for inspiration, you'll get it.If you came for chaos, oh buddy… you're in the right place. And if you've ever argued with your sibling over something dumb, just know — it could always be worse.
