Episode 301 kicks off the 300s with Colin Harms and opens with a milestone announcement, HyperVac Technologies and HyperFab are the official Title Sponsors of The Business Development Podcast for 2026. Kelly and Colin reflect on the relationship that started through the podcast, why community and consistency matter, and what it takes to keep raising the standard as an independent Canadian show that is competing on a global stage. From there, the conversation gets real about building through pressure as a Canadian business and making the shift from reacting to taking control. Colin shares how they intentionally diversified by building HyperFab long before the tariffs, moving from 100 percent subcontracted manufacturing to bringing fabrication fully in house so they could control timelines, quality, and execution. They break down why that decision sets them up to win in 2026, and how HyperFab is positioned to become a major player as the next chapter of growth takes off.Key Takeaways:1. One bold reach out can change everything, because the right relationships often start with a simple “I felt the urge to message you.” 2. Consistency builds momentum, especially when you create something every week that you genuinely look forward to and plan your life around. 3. Reinvest in what's already producing fruit, because sowing into solid ground is how you multiply results instead of starting from zero every time. 4. Relationships beat transactions, and loyalty comes from actually caring, not just “closing the deal.” 5. Community is a force multiplier, because it gives you a safe space to vent, learn, and borrow perspective when you're carrying it alone. 6. The mindset shift that changes everything is moving from “why is this happening to us?” to “what can we do about it?” 7. In hard seasons, don't bury your head or quit early, keep peeling layers, making calls, and finding a way even when people say it won't work. 8. Success leaves clues, so study what's already working, learn from competitors, and copy great systems without ego. 9. You can forecast all you want, but you still won't fully know what's next, so the real advantage is staying adaptable and willing to pivot fast. 10. Long term winners take control of the fundamentals, bring key capabilities in-house, hire the right people, and build the confidence to say “we can do this.” Ready to make 2026 your year? The Catalyst Club is a private community for founders, business owners, and leaders who are serious about growth, accountability, and real conversations that move the needle. Her transformation is breathtaking, inspiring, and proof that healing is not only possible, but life-changing. If you've ever wondered whether you're too far gone to rebuild your life, this episode is the reminder that it is never too late. Guest Bio Mary Beth O'Connor is the author of From Junkie to Judge and a nationally recognized advocate for trauma-informed, individualized addiction recovery. Transitions can make or break a station rotation, especially when time is tight and energy is high. In this episode, I respond to a teacher's question about transitions and logistics by unpacking practical strategies for creating clear, consistent routines that students can actually manage. I share why transition systems need to be explicitly taught and practiced, how strategic seating can eliminate the scramble for spots, and the powerful role of a group facilitator in keeping stations running smoothly. These small design moves reduce friction, protect instructional time, and help students build independence. The strategies connect directly to the design principles in The Station Rotation Model and UDL, with a focus on clarity, predictability, and student agency. In this solo episode of Don't Waste the Chaos, Kerri Roberts, Christian business & HR consultant and founder of Salt & Light Advisors, opens up about a deeper tension many high-achieving Christians carry but rarely say out loud: when ambition, excellence, and drive cross the line from worship to idolatry. Drawing from her own story as a COO in the insurance industry, Kerri shares how private jets, big titles, and record-breaking performance still left her 50 pounds heavier, exhausted, bitter, and spiritually depleted.Kerri walks listeners through the difference between godly excellence and achievement-as-an-idol for anyone in leadership: employees, executives, entrepreneurs, and business owners. She unpacks the cultural pull toward workaholism and toxic productivity, where identity becomes fused to output and status, and pairs it with the biblical call to worship God alone, honor our limits, and receive Sabbath as a gift instead of a rule. Scriptures like Exodus 20:3 and Colossians 3:23 frame the conversation and help listeners recognize when work, money, or achievement has taken the functional place of God.Finally, Kerri offers six practical guardrails for faith-driven professionals who want to keep excellence but lose the bondage: redefining success beyond output, building real rhythms of rest, creating boundaries and delegation (including automations), seeking accountability and community, regularly checking motives and heart posture, and leading people instead of worshiping productivity. With honest stories about motherhood, job loss, identity, money guilt, and rebuilding her life and business with healthier rhythms, Kerri invites Christian leaders to pause, reflect, and choose one concrete step toward grace, balance, and true godly success.Key TakeawaysExcellence is biblical—but it's not your identity. Workaholism is a warning sign, not a virtue. Idolatry is often subtle and internal. Healthy excellence honors human limits. You can rewrite your relationship with work.  Sponsors & Ways to Work with Kerri1. Our Faction Focus series continues as we take a look at the forces of Chaos. From the four Chaos Gods themselves, to the Space Marines that turned traitor in their service, it's spikey and evil all the way down. What do the Chaos Gods want? How do the Chaos Marines differ from their loyalist brothers? Which Legion has the most tragic backstory, and which ones absolutely don't? And how many forces can you combine into one ravening horde? In this episode, we examine the lore and the mechanics of all 9 traitor legions, as well as some mechanical and daemonic counterparts that have joined them in the Long War.
