Full show notes: https://bengreenfieldlife.com/juliepodcast In this episode with Julie Gibson Clark, I'm highlighting a throwback conversation because the gap it exposed has only gotten wider. There's a leaderboard called the Rejuvenation Olympics where people submit a blood test that measures how fast they're aging. When we recorded, Julie was a 55-year-old single mom in Phoenix making under $100,000 a year, sitting at number two in the world, aging at roughly two-thirds the speed of the calendar, and ahead of people like Bryan Johnson, who was spending $2 million a year chasing the same number. Her budget was $27 a month for a gym membership and $79 a month for a supplement. This February, Bryan Johnson opened an elite longevity program at $1 million a year with three spots, an interview process, and a requirement that you hire a dedicated assistant to keep up with the protocol. You'll learn what Julie actually does: sleep protected like it's sacred, walking and rucking, strength training and VO2 max work, a pile of vegetables every day, one supplement, prayer, and stillness. Nothing that requires an executive assistant. You'll also hear her full health history, from heavy metal toxicity and chelation therapy to the genetics that shaped her approach, exactly what she eats and when, her supplement stack, her sleep and sauna routines, and why she refuses to name a target lifespan. Now 56 and teaching as founding faculty at a longevity academy, Julie is proof that the affordable end of longevity practice still gets you remarkably far. Fascia, cadaver labs, iron and ferritin, red light therapy marketing, peptides, and total plasma exchange (TPE) — Freddie sits down with functional health practitioner Lauren Sambataro of the BioHacker Babes for a wide-ranging conversation on why more health data and more powerful interventions haven't translated into better health outcomes. Freddie and Lauren dig into the difference between context and content — how wearable data (Oura scores, HRV, sleep scores), viral health claims, and confident internet voices can quietly reprogram how people feel about their own bodies. They get into the iron and ferritin trend sweeping women's wellness content, the marketing spin behind "medical grade" red light panels, and why more information often means less clarity. The conversation turns clinical with a look at total plasma exchange (TPE) and EBOO — who actually needs them versus who's chasing a shortcut — and into peptides, where Lauren shares her current protocol (BPC-157, TB-500, Kisspeptin) for perimenopause and tissue repair, while Freddie talks through his own stack, including low-dose retatrutide. The back half centers on fascia: Lauren's four-day cadaver lab course, and what healthy fascia looks and feels like compared to fascia shut down by scarring, dehydration, and a sedentary life — and what that means for how anyone moves, rolls, and recovers. Episode Highlights: 1:22 — What Lauren actually does as a functional health practitioner 2:16 — How her approach has evolved over the last decade 4:00 — Wellness has gotten more complex: peptides, PEMF, and high-level interventions go mainstream 5:24 — Are we actually getting healthier with more access to information? 8:45 — Context vs. content: why we overcomplicate health 14:00 — The double-edged sword of wearable data (the Oura ring example) 16:32 — Freddie's 4-hour no-food-before-bed rule and HRV 18:42 — Reclaiming ice baths and contrast therapy from online noise 21:41 — Stop demonizing what nature already gave us 24:14 — The iron/ferritin trend and the danger of one-size-fits-all advice 26:07 — Resonant breathing and finding your personal breath rate 28:55 — Why ferritin is trending in women's health right now 33:00 — Red light marketing claims and the "medical grade" myth 36:49 — Freddie's dog: the ultimate biohacker with no placebo effect 38:21 — Total plasma exchange (TPE): Freddie's first exposure and the current craze 41:42 — TPE recovery time and lymphatic drainage as a lower-cost alternative 43:03 — Who actually needs TPE vs. who's chasing a quick fix 44:46 — EBOO explained: ozonating and filtering the blood 50:41 — Lauren's peptide protocol: BPC-157, TB-500, and Kisspeptin for perimenopause 53:09 — Freddie's peptide stack and why retatrutide outperformed GLP-1s for him 56:24 — Lauren's cadaver lab experience: two bodies, two very different stories 1:00:00 — What healthy vs. unhealthy fascia actually looks like 1:04:54 — Foam rollers vs. towel work vs. long holds for releasing fascia 1:07:53 — Closing thoughts and where to find Lauren and the BioHacker Babes Connect with lauren Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lauren_sambataro Website: https://www.laurensambataro.com Podcast (BioHacker Babes): https://www.biohackerbabes.com Upgrade Your Wellness: LightPathLED: https://bit.ly/4gwYiUh Code: beautifullybroken Explore the new FDA Cleared Aurawell PEMF: Book A Call Silver Biotics Wound Healing Gel: https://bit.ly/3JnxyDD 30% off with Code: BEAUTIFULLYBROKEN MaxGen Labs: https://maxgenlabs.com/BEAUTIFULLYBROKEN CONNECT WITH FREDDIEWork with Me: https://www.beautifullybroken.world/biological-blueprintWebsite and Store: (http://www.beautifullybroken.world) Instagram: (https://www.instagram.com/freddie.kimmelYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@beautifullybrokenworld Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
Zinc deficiency is dire, yet direly difficult to actually determine. You may be muddling through life with a subclinical, undiagnosed Zinc deficiency - even if you take a multivitamin with Zinc in it! But here's the bad news: standard blood tests for zinc are almost completely useless, but blindly megadosing it can trigger a neurological nightmare.

Artificial Sweeteners & Cognitive Decline, Myosteatosis on Coronary CT, Merck's Oral PCSK9 Inhibitor, Cyclospora Outbreak, Gut-Brain Synchronization, and the Banana Smoothie Mistake Explained Artificial Sweeteners Linked To 62% Faster Cognitive Decline In Landmark Brazilian Study A study tracking more than 12,700 adults (average age 52) over eight years found that people consuming the most artificial and low-calorie sweeteners, roughly 191 mg a day, about what's in a single can of diet soda, showed cognitive decline 62% faster than the lowest-intake group, equivalent to 1.6 extra years of brain aging, with memory hit hardest. Six of the seven sweeteners tested, including aspartame, saccharin, and acesulfame K, were linked to faster decline; tagatose was the lone exception. Researchers point to gut-microbiome disruption, altered glucose and insulin signaling, and possible direct neuronal effects as plausible mechanisms. Host Dave Asprey breaks down why a dose this small was enough to move the curve, why tagatose deserves more scrutiny before being called "safe," and where diet products' short-term weight-loss marketing conveniently ignores the long-term cost to your brain. Source: https://www.inc.com/kevin-haynes/study-links-cognitive-decline-to-surprisingly-small-daily-amount-of-artificial-sweeteners/91376522 ~~ AI Analysis Of 1,722 Heart Scans Finds Muscle Quality Predicts Heart Attacks Independent Of Calcium Score Using data from the SCOT-HEART trial, a University of Edinburgh team ran an AI model against ten years of coronary CT angiogram scans, measuring skeletal muscle attenuation, a marker of myosteatosis, or fat infiltration into muscle tissue. Every 10-point increase in muscle density corresponded to a 31% lower heart attack risk and 39% lower all-cause mortality over the following decade, and critically, this held independent of coronary calcium score, the current gold-standard risk marker. The same low-density-muscle patients also showed higher lung attenuation, lower liver attenuation, and more torso fat volume, a pattern consistent with systemic insulin resistance rather than a muscle-specific issue. Host Dave Asprey unpacks why calcium score isn't capturing the full risk picture, why myosteatosis is really a readout of whole-body insulin sensitivity, and what he'd add to a routine workup on top of a calcium score. Source: https://www.theguardian.com/science/2026/jun/30/strong-chest-back-less-likely-heart-attack-analysis ~~ FDA Approves First Oral PCSK9 Inhibitor, Cutting LDL By Up To 60% Without Injections Merck's enlicitide (brand name Lipfendra) is now FDA-approved as the first once-daily oral PCSK9 inhibitor, lowering LDL cholesterol by up to 60% in a phase 3 trial of 2,912 patients, routinely bringing levels down to 50-60 mg/dL. It works by blocking PCSK9, a liver protein that tags LDL receptors for destruction, the same target as injectable drugs like Repatha and Praluent, which have shown roughly 20% reductions in heart attacks and strokes in high-risk patients. Lipfendra is priced at $315 for a 30-day supply, with no excess side effects reported versus placebo over six months, though long-term outcome data is still pending. Host Dave Asprey explains why crushing total LDL without checking ApoB, LDL particle number, or oxidized LDL is optimizing the wrong variable, and what he'd want on his labs before considering a drug like this. Sources: https://www.nytimes.com/2026/07/16/science/the-fda-approves-a-new-pill-to-slash-cholesterol-levels.html https://www.cnbc.com/2026/07/16/mercks-cholesterol-pill-gets-us-fda-approval.html ~~ Cyclospora Outbreak Tied To Taylor Farms Lettuce Spreads To 34 States, Prompts Nationwide Recall Federal investigators have linked a multistate cyclosporiasis outbreak to shredded iceberg lettuce from Taylor Farms de Mexico, with Michigan alone logging over 5,000 cases and 100+ hospitalizations, much of it traced to lettuce used at Taco Bell. Taylor Farms has recalled all iceberg lettuce sourced from central Mexico, and Walmart has pulled Marketside Iceberg Salad and Marketside Shredded Lettuce with specific date codes across 27 states. Cyclospora spreads through fecal contamination and causes weeks of watery, explosive diarrhea if untreated; washing doesn't reliably eliminate it, since the parasite requires heat above 158°F to inactivate. Host Dave Asprey explains why pre-washed, pre-cut bagged greens remain a recurring contamination risk no matter what the label claims, and connects the outbreak's gut damage to lingering gut-brain consequences long after symptoms resolve. Sources: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/health/2026/07/18/taylor-farms-shredded-lettuce-sample-cyclospora/90969103007/ https://www.fda.gov/food/outbreaks-foodborne-illness/investigation-5-state-outbreak-cyclospora-illnesses-iceberg-lettuce-july-2026 ~~ New Research Links Excessive Gut-Brain Synchronization To Anxiety And Depression Emerging research on the enteric nervous system, which contains over 100 million neurons and sends more signals to the brain than it receives, finds that when the gut's electrical rhythm synchronizes too tightly with the brain's, that over-coupling correlates with higher rates of anxiety and depression. The gut communicates with the brain through the vagus nerve, hormones, and immune signaling, and dysbiosis or ENS dysfunction has separately been linked to mood disorders in both human and animal studies. Host Dave Asprey breaks down why the goal isn't maximum gut-brain connection but the right kind of connection, questions whether the coupling is driving the anxiety or the anxiety is driving the coupling, and makes the case for treating mood from the gut up instead of the brain down. Source: https://refractor.io/medical/enteric-nervous-system-brain-link-mental-health/ ~~ Rhonda Patrick Explains Why She Never Adds Bananas To Her Berry Smoothies Rhonda Patrick has been telling audiences she skips bananas in her berry smoothies because of polyphenol oxidase, an enzyme in bananas that degrades the polyphenols in blueberries linked to improved cognition and vascular health, based on in-vitro and food chemistry data. She now builds her smoothies on an avocado base instead, and notes that vitamin C from citrus can partially inhibit the enzyme for anyone unwilling to drop the banana. Host Dave Asprey weighs in on the gap between lab chemistry and clinical outcome data, why that gap doesn't make the mechanism any less real, and why this is a low-cost swap worth making even without a human trial behind it. Sources: https://www.reddit.com/r/Biohackers/comments/1v2jbib/dr_rhonda_patrick_i_dont_add_bananas_to_my/ https://www.foundmyfitness.com/episodes/polyphenol-oxidase-bananas-smoothies ~~ This episode is designed for biohackers, longevity enthusiasts, and high-performance listeners who want mechanism-level insight into a sweetener risk hiding in everyday diet products, a heart attack predictor buried inside routine CT scans, the tradeoffs of a new cholesterol drug, a produce recall worth paying attention to, the science behind gut-driven anxiety, and a smoothie mistake that's quietly undercutting your polyphenol intake. Host Dave Asprey connects clinical research, cohort data, and food chemistry into practical frameworks for protecting brain health, cardiovascular health, and gut-brain resilience. P.M. Edition for July 24. Today an FDA committee voted to increase access to six of seven peptides. Those are substances that haven't undergone regulatory approval, but they're promoted on social media and promise physical transformations like better skin. We hear from WSJ health and wellness reporter Alex Janin about what the vote means and whether it paves the way for a peptide gold rush. Plus, new tariffs went into effect today intended to combat forced labor, and President Trump also threatened new tariffs on the European Union. Journal trade and economic policy reporter Gavin Bade discusses the future of President Trump's tariff agenda. And measles cases in the U.S. this year have already surpassed last year's number, reaching a three-decade high. Alex Ossola hosts. And for more on peptides, listen to our What's News Sunday episode. Lucas Aoun is a naturopath, researcher, educator and one of Australia’s most respected and popular biohackers. This was one of my favourite conversations this year. Personally, I learned a lot. There’s too much in it for me to do justice to the conversation by providing an incomplete snapshot, but I’ll just say, if you’re interested in outside the box thinking, alternative treatments and therapies, and zero bullsh*t or bro science, take a listen. Enjoy.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Jordan Sather and Nate Prince kick off a slower newsweek by trading MAHA wins (fasting, ankle rehab, and other Friday flexes) before diving into RFK Jr.'s push for a formal COVID vaccine injury table and what it could mean for Americans still waiting on compensation. They break down HHS's new Make Hospital Food Healthier Pledge, wonder aloud why hospital cafeterias so often resemble a sad Applebee's, and dig into Medicare's brand new GLP1 coverage pilot for seniors. After Nate signs off early, Jordan flies solo through Merck's Gardasil settlement, the Supreme Court's glyphosate ruling, and a candid roast of biohacker Brian Johnson's autoimmune diagnosis. The episode wraps with a genuinely useful rundown of habits and supplements for focus and ADHD, from Lion's Mane to adaptogens. Equal parts news update and dinner table debate about what actually counts as "good" food.

Hydrogen might just be the molecule "closest to God," as this element sits precisely on the razor-thin border where raw cosmic energy condenses into physical matter. But what happens when you take this cosmic ghost molecule, supercharge it with bioavailable electrons, and introduce it to a modern biological system? What happens when the fundamental building block of the universe meets a human body working to overcome the vascular strain, metabolic stress, and environmental tax of modern life?We aren't just talking about a gas today. We are talking about the fourth state of water, a selective antioxidant capable of rewriting cellular communication, and an independent inventor who has spent decades unlocking its secrets. George Wiseman is the visionary creator of the AquaCure device (which I started using recently). Semaglutide Slows Biological Aging A randomized, placebo-controlled study published in Nature Communications found semaglutide slowed biological aging markers by nine percent on the DunedinPACE epigenetic clock in adults living with HIV-associated metabolic disease, with simultaneous improvements across inflammation, heart, kidney, liver, and brain markers. Host Dave Asprey breaks down why this isn't a weight loss story. It's a metabolic inflammation story. He explains why the GLP-1 mechanism hitting insulin signaling, oxidative stress, and inflammatory pathways simultaneously is the real finding, and makes the case that your metabolic markers and your aging markers are the same numbers. Sources: https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/glp-1-drugs-ozempic-wegovy-may-slow-biological-aging https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-026-72861-3 https://today.ucsd.edu/story/study-popular-glp-1-drug-may-slow-down-biological-aging FDA Approves First New Sunscreen Ingredient in 20 Years The FDA approved bemotrizinol as a permitted OTC sunscreen active ingredient, the first new approval in roughly two decades, clearing it for adults and children six months and older with broad UVA and UVB coverage and low skin absorption. Host Dave Asprey explains why twenty years of regulatory lag left American consumers with inferior chemistry while Europe moved on, why he's watching independent absorption data before updating his own stack, and why consistency of use matters more than perfect formulation when sun protection remains one of the most evidence-backed longevity interventions available. Sources: https://www.fda.gov/news-events/fda-newsroom/press-announcements/fda-expands-sunscreen-options-first-time-20-years https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cder/omuf/index.cfm?event=OrderDetail&orderid=OTC000039 https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/health/2026/06/09/new-sunscreen-ingredient-bemotrizinol/90477659007/ Deoxyribose Gel Matches Minoxidil in Hair Regrowth Study Researchers testing a topical gel made from deoxyribose, the sugar backbone of DNA, saw roughly 80 to 90 percent hair regrowth in a mouse model of male-pattern baldness, matching minoxidil results and showing new follicle formation and increased blood vessel activity in treated areas. Host Dave Asprey breaks down why mouse hair regrowth studies have a long history of failing to translate to humans, what a plausible circulation-based mechanism would actually need to show in human trial data before it's worth acting on, and why the molecule itself is interesting enough to keep watching. Sources: https://www.reddit.com/r/Biohackers/comments/1tyt87w/researchers_found_that_a_gel_made_from/ https://www.sciencealert.com/surprise-hair-loss-breakthrough-a-dna-sugar-gel-sparks-robust-regrowth Caffeinated Chewing Gum and Exercise Performance A systematic review and meta-analysis of 21 studies found caffeinated chewing gum produces a small but real ergogenic effect for muscular strength and countermovement jump height, with buccal absorption delivering caffeine faster than capsules or drinks in a five to twenty-five minute pre-training window. Host Dave Asprey breaks down why delivery mechanism is an underrated variable in caffeine optimization, why timing matters as much as dose, and why a modest but measurable edge on a cheap and accessible tool is exactly the kind of practical biohack worth understanding. Host Dave Asprey explains the actual hepatotoxicity and bone demineralization risks of preformed retinol excess, draws the critical distinction between preformed retinol and beta-carotene that got lost in the misinformation cycle, and makes the case that mechanism is not a dosing protocol and confusing the two is how people get hurt. Sources: https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/amp/articles/vitamin-a-overdoses-rose-by-38-7-2025-how-to-get-right-amount World Cup 2026 and Mass Gathering Health Risk With the 2026 FIFA World Cup underway, public health researchers are flagging dense international crowds, high-volume travel, and shared indoor and outdoor spaces as an elevated transmission environment for respiratory illness. Host Dave Asprey reframes the conversation away from germ exposure and toward immune terrain, explains why your resilience going into a high-contact environment is a variable you actually control, and lays out the pre-exposure preparation window that matters most for anyone traveling or attending large events this summer. Sources: https://www.healthline.com/health-news/2026-fifa-world-cup-health-risks-protect-yourself This episode is designed for biohackers, longevity seekers, and high-performance listeners who want mechanism-level clarity on GLP-1 aging biology, sunscreen chemistry and regulatory science, emerging hair regrowth research, caffeine delivery optimization, supplement toxicity risk, and immune terrain preparation for mass gathering events. Host Dave Asprey connects randomized clinical data, epigenetic clock research, consumer health regulation, and real-world optimization protocols into actionable frameworks for extending healthspan, sharpening performance, and staying ahead of the science. Jeff Dudan's free digital copy of his book What if the way you've been thinking about aging, fitness, testosterone, supplements, and even going public with your company is completely wrong? In this episode, Jeff Dudan sits down with Anthony Geisler - founder of Sequel Brands and the visionary behind Club Pilates and the Exponential Fitness empire - to unpack the truth about longevity, boutique fitness franchising, and what it really takes to build a business that outlasts adversity. Anthony shares his personal biohacking protocol, why he naturally maintains testosterone levels of 800-900 at age 50 without TRT, the real reason he holds multiple gym memberships, and how Gary Brekka's longevity science is reshaping what's possible for human lifespan. They also go deep on what going public actually feels like - including the day it became illegal to operate gyms in the United States while the company was mid-IPO - and why Anthony believes the private market gives founders something public markets never can: the ability to be masters of their own destiny. Plus, the inspiring story of a Pilates instructor with three failing studios on the verge of closing who is now on track for a $200-300 million exit. Topics covered: • Genetic methylation testing and biomarker blood panels • Natural testosterone optimization without TRT or peptides • Why muscle mass is a longevity metric, not an aesthetic one • Sauna data: 50% reduction in all-cause mortality • Red light therapy, Body20 EMS, and the Sequel Brands ecosystem • Club Pilates, Exponential Fitness, and taking a company public during COVID • The Russell 2000 and the hidden costs of public market valuations • Building franchisee loyalty and supporting humans through adversity • The shift in alcohol culture and the rise of clean eating • Gary Brekka's circadian rhythm protocols and biological age reversal Guest: ANTHONY GEISLER Guest YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@Anthony.Geisler/featured Guest Business YouTube: Guest Website: https://sequelbrands.com/ Guest Socials: https://www.linkedin.com/company/sequel-brands/ #Longevity #Biohacking #FranchiseBusiness #AnthonyGeisler #SequelBrands #ClubPilates #GaryBrekka #MensHealth #Testosterone #BoutiqueF fitness Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Loneliness can cost you up to 20 years of healthy life. More than poor sleep. More than any supplement. And until now, there was no way to measure it.Dr. Axel Schumacher spent 25 years at the forefront of genomics and epigenetic clock research and says your social life is a more powerful longevity biomarker than anything in your bloodwork. In this episode, he walks through the Social Connectivity Value (SCV): a framework he developed to map your social network, identify the relationships that drain your energy, and turn your social health into a number you can actually track. What you'll learn:* Why loneliness can cost 12–20 years of healthy life (men are hit harder than women) and why the “smoking 15 cigarettes a day” statistic doesn't change behavior without a way to measure it* How to build a sociogram using Dunbar's three layers, assign energy values to every person in your life (including the ones dragging you down), and calculate your SCV score* Why looking for a romantic partner through your close friends almost never works, and the “super connector” strategy that statistically gives you access to 150 new people from a single introductionWhat's the link between loneliness, AI companions, and living to 150? We get into all of it.Timestamps* 00:05 – Intro* 01:35 – Meet Dr. Axel Schumacher* 02:21 – From Genomics to Social Science (The Pivot)* 04:28 – How Loneliness Affects Your Health Span* 06:36 – The Loneliness Epidemic & Declining Birth Rates* 07:47 – Why Is Social Health So Hard to Measure?* 09:56 – The Holt-Lunstad Meta-Analysis Explained* 10:47 – Introducing the Social Connectivity Value (SCV)* 12:44 – The Sociogram: Mapping Your Social World* 13:13 –Building Your Sociogram: Mapping Social Connections* 14:54 – The Dunbar Layers: Your 3 Social Circles* 15:22 – The Invisible Load: Identifying Energy-Draining Relationships* 17:03 – The Invisible Load of Toxic Relationships* 20:09 – The Role of Family and Close Connections* 22:38 – What Is Your SCV Score?* 24:51 – How Your Nervous System Responds to Others* 28:08 – Tracking Your Social Life Like a Biohacker* 30:44 – Introverts vs Extroverts & Social Energy* 31:49 – AI Companions & The Future of Connection* 35:31 – Should Your Partner Be Everything?* 37:34 – Weak Ties & Super Connectors* 41:37 – The Mathematical Magic of Super Connectors* 42:57 – Rapid Fire: Social Media — Net Positive or Negative?* 43:51 – SCV vs Epigenetic Clocks: Which Matters More?* 44:59 – The Best City for Human Connection* 47:12 – One Weekly Habit to Protect Your Social HealthABOUT DR. They don't want you to know about this.Peptides — tiny molecular signals that can tell your body to heal, burn fat, build muscle, and even slow aging. So why aren't doctors talking about them? Why is the FDA cracking down? And who exactly is controlling what you're allowed to put in your own body?Today, we go down the rabbit hole with Trina Danley from Deck 7 Research — someone operating at the edge of what mainstream medicine refuses to touch. We're talking black market compounds, underground biohackers, suppressed research, and the billion-dollar pharmaceutical industry that has every reason to keep you in the dark. This one gets deep. You've been warned.
What if your fatigue, brain fog, stubborn weight gain, slow recovery, and lack of motivation all traced back to one hidden problem inside your cells?Your mitochondria are the tiny energy factories that power every organ, every thought, every heartbeat, and every movement you make. In this review, I'll honestly discuss the pros vs cons of the two HeartMath products, share how I saved nearly 50% on both mindfulness-enhancing devices, compare them to other Biohacking tech I've used, and summarize the state-of-the-art science and studies done evaluating Heartmath's HRV technology. The Inner Balance Sensor is an innovative self-monitoring and heart rate variability training system for Android and iOS. It gives you the opportunity to self-experiment; run HRV tests to see how different things affect your autonomic nervous system's well-being.The emWave is a subtly pleasant and mindful technology; the rising and falling light bar on it is sort of mesmerizing. As I've written about elsewhere, you'll be a lot more disciplined in your personal growth endeavors if you spend money on them. I pay for a gym membership because then I know I'll go. For the same reason, I purchased both Heartmath devices.Access Heart Hacks Library

Most of what goes viral on SkinTok is missing one thing. The part where someone actually checks if it works. In this bonus episode, Amitay and Anastasia break down three of the most viral skincare trends circulating today, red light therapy wands, at-home dermarolling, and tretinoin, and run each one through a biohacker's lens. Not to dismiss them outright. But to ask the questions the original videos never do.What is actually happening at the cellular level? What are the real risks? And where does the marketing stop and the science start? What's Discussed:(2:03) Why red light therapy wands are closer to a flashlight than a treatment.(4:26) What photon accumulation actually means and why moving a wand around your face defeats the purpose.(10:42) Why "sold out" is a marketing claim, not proof that something works.(14:00) What dermarolling actually does to the skin and where the real risks are.(15:21) Why elastin claims in skincare are almost always wrong.(17:06) The difference between at-home dermarolling and professional microneedling.(19:51) How to use a dermaroller safely if you choose to.(28:32) Why tretinoin makes skin worse before it gets better and what that actually means.(32:58) The half-life of vitamin A and why twice a week use barely moves the needle.(34:06) How retinoids accelerate cellular turnover but also drive senescence.(35:44) What can counteract the long-term tradeoffs of tretinoin use.Check out our Mother's Day Special: Explore the Mother's Day gift sets at younggoose.com/pages/mothers-day Find more from Young Goose:Use code PODCAST10 to get 10% OFF your first purchase, and if you're a returning customer use the code PODCAST5 to get 5% OFF at younggoose.comInstagram: @young_goose_skincare

A lot of us treat hair loss the way skincare treats wrinkles, as a cosmetic problem to cover up. But almost every case of thinning, recession, or shedding has something deeper driving it, and by the time it shows up in the mirror, a significant amount of density is already gone.We at Young Goose believe that beauty is whole body care, and hair is one of the most metabolically active tissues in the body. It is also one of the first places systemic stress, hormone shifts, nutrient deficiencies, and inflammation show up.In this episode, Dr. Alan Bauman joins us to break down the biology of hair aging and the protocols that actually move the needle. Dr. Bauman is the founder of Bauman Medical in Boca Raton and one of the pioneers of modern hair restoration, with nearly three decades of clinical practice and more than 35,000 patients treated. His core message is simple and urgent: time equals follicles. Every week of delay is density you do not get back. And most people have no idea it is happening until the loss is already visible. We go deeper into this in the latest episode of Biohacking Beauty: The Anti-Aging Skincare Podcast. We also cover the hidden hair loss risks of GLP-1s and testosterone optimization, the precision diagnostics replacing guesswork, and the red light therapy details almost no one talks about.Let's dive in!What's Discussed:(2:20) How Dr. Bauman became a hair restoration pioneer and the patient who changed everything.(9:50) Why hair is an emotional organ and a biomarker for systemic health.(12:14) Time equals follicles: why every week of delay costs you density.(13:38) The mechanism of androgenetic alopecia and how DHT miniaturizes the follicle.(16:30) Why DHT is not the only driver: stress, inflammation, nutrient deficiency, and GLP-1s.(18:55) The hidden hair loss risks of weight loss peptides and caloric deficits.(21:06) Precision diagnostics: AI-powered microscopy, DNA testing, and preservation first.(23:36) What genetic testing actually tells us about your DHT metabolism pathways.(29:40) Minoxidil and finasteride explained, and why oral microdose is the modern approach.(32:20) Dutasteride, topical finasteride, and when to escalate.(39:41) Copper tripeptide, zinc thymulin, and the peptides with real hair growth data.(42:18) The hair loss side effect of TRT and hormone optimization nobody warns you about.(48:09) Red light therapy for hair: the science, the studies, and what actually works.(52:00) Wavelength precision, power density, and why most devices will not move a follicle.(59:06) Why movement destroys the premise of photobiomodulation.(1:04:36) PRP and modern dual spin protocols for hair regeneration.(1:08:28) Autologous hair follicle stem cell banking and the future of restoration.Find more from Young Goose:Use code PODCAST10 to get 10% off your first purchase, and if you're a returning customer use the code PODCAST5 to get 5% off at https://younggoose.comInstagram: @young_goose_skincareVampire Exosomes: Professional Exosome Serum for Regeneration and Post-Treatment Recovery https://younggoose.com/products/vampire-exosomes Find more from Dr. Alan Bauman:Instagram: @dralanbauman Youtube: @AlanBaumanMD X: @DrAlanBaumanFacebook: Bauman Medical GroupShop: https://dralanbauman.com/Website: https://www.baumanmedical.com/
He's not a doctor. He's not a researcher. And his path to becoming one of the most-watched voices in biohacking on YouTube didn't start in a lab or a gym.Dylan Gemelli, known as the Wellness Revolutionary, spent years rebuilding his life before discovering that the same obsessive drive that once worked against him could be redirected into something extraordinary.Dylan Gemelli is a self-educated biohacker with over a decade of hands-on experience in peptide therapy, SARMs research, and performance nutrition — a path he built from the ground up after serving time in prison. In this episode, he breaks down the "Glow Stack" — BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu, and KPV — explaining how each compound targets tissue repair, skin regeneration, and inflammation reduction. He covers how to spot counterfeit COAs and white-labeled peptides in today's market, and why chronic stress — specifically elevated cortisol — undermines any optimization protocol you're running. He also opens up about his complicated history with nutrition and the moment everything finally shifted.Key Takeaways:00:02:34 Who is Dylan Gemelli?00:05:26 The prison sentence00:07:18 The mom conversation00:18:12 Discovering biohacking00:25:18 Free health habits00:27:14 Electrolytes and sodium-potassium00:27:24 Creatine for everyone00:36:00 SARMs explained00:46:22 The Glow Stack00:50:58 Overcoming fat fear00:57:36 The vagus nerve01:02:00 Mental health drives physical health

This episode covers: • Longevity Influence In The Epstein Files A new DOJ document release tied to the Epstein investigation pulled physician and longevity influencer Peter Attia into the spotlight, after reports showed he appeared in the files more than 1,800 times and CBS News pulled a planned rebroadcast of its 60 Minutes profile. Dave breaks down why this story matters beyond headlines: longevity relies heavily on trust, authority, and influence, and when those foundations are shaken it exposes how fragile centralized expertise can be. He explains how biohackers can protect themselves by diversifying information sources, understanding mechanisms instead of personalities, and building health strategies that don't collapse when one voice disappears. • Source: https://variety.com/2026/tv/news/cbs-news-pulls-peter-attia-60-minutes-segment-epstein-1236650930/ • Age-Reversal Gene Therapy Enters Human Trials Life Biosciences received FDA authorization to begin the first U.S. human trial of a partial epigenetic reprogramming gene therapy in the eye, using three Yamanaka factors to restore function in damaged retinal cells. Dave explains why eyes are the ideal first testing ground, what partial reprogramming actually means, and why this marks a shift from longevity theory into real clinical testing. He also clarifies what success would and would not mean for whole-body rejuvenation, and how to separate legitimate gene-therapy advances from consumer products that only claim to affect biological age. • Source: https://fortune.com/2026/01/30/billionaires-longevity-aging-fda-human-clinical-trial-life-biosciences/ • Continuous Ketone Monitoring Moves Toward Reality Wearable continuous ketone monitoring is advancing beyond finger-stick meters, with companies adapting the same model that made continuous glucose monitors mainstream. Dave explains why this is a major upgrade for metabolic flexibility, keto diets, fasting, and diabetes risk management. He breaks down how real-time ketone data can reveal patterns missed by spot checks, and why biohackers should think ahead about data ownership, integration, and how ketone signals interact with glucose, sleep, stress, and training. • Source: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/global-market-blood-ketone-meters-140900796.html • Injectable, Wireless Brain Implants Without Surgery Researchers are developing nano-scale, wireless brain implants capable of crossing the blood-brain barrier without open surgery, opening the door to a new class of neural interfaces. Dave connects this research to other circuit-level interventions like sound and light stimulation, explaining the broader shift from targeting molecules to tuning brain networks. He also addresses the ethical risks, including consent, privacy, and neuro-surveillance, and why biohackers should track this space early rather than after it becomes normalized. • Source: https://longevity.technology/unlocked/longevity-news-roundup-week-5-2026/ • Generic GLP-1 Drugs Could Reshape Global Metabolic Health India's Sun Pharma is preparing to launch a generic semaglutide-style injectable as patent protections expire, signaling a major price drop and access expansion for GLP-1 drugs. Dave explains why this could transform obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease management worldwide, while also highlighting the risks of muscle loss and metabolic weakness if these drugs are used without proper training and nutrition. He shares how biohackers should think about stacking GLP-1s intelligently, with resistance training, protein intake, and long-term maintenance strategies. • Source: https://longevity.technology/unlocked/longevity-news-roundup-week-5-2026/ All source links are provided for direct access to the original reporting and research. The holidays are when drinking quietly ramps up for a lot of people. More parties, more stress, more excuses, and habits that feel temporary but often aren't. This episode is for anyone reflecting on their relationship with alcohol, substances, or compulsive habits and questioning whether those patterns are actually supporting the life and health they want going forward. This episode features host Dave Asprey joined by Luke Storey, a motivational speaker, spiritual teacher, and host of the top-rated podcast The Life Stylist, which has surpassed 10 million downloads. Luke is widely regarded as a pioneer in health and wellness, known for articulating transformative principles around spirituality, addiction recovery, and mental, emotional, and physical health optimization. Together, Dave and Luke explore why getting sober and staying sober rarely comes down to willpower alone. They unpack how addiction often shows up as biology, trauma, nervous system dysregulation, and learned coping patterns, not just substance use. The conversation expands the definition of addiction to include socially accepted behaviors like alcohol, nicotine, work, scrolling, and distraction. The discussion moves through long term sobriety, discernment around substances, the role of spirituality in recovery, and how people break free from compulsive loops by addressing root causes instead of chasing short term fixes. Nuanced topics like abstinence, nicotine, psychedelics, and altered states are explored with clear boundaries around safety, intention, and stability. You'll learn: • Why willpower alone fails to sustain sobriety • How addiction is driven by nervous system wiring and trauma • Why socially accepted habits can still be addictive • How to tell the difference between craving and intuition • What supports long term recovery beyond abstinence • Why identity and environment matter more than discipline • How sobriety creates clarity, resilience, and freedom over time Thank you to our sponsors! -TRU KAVA | Go to https://trukava.com/ and use code DAVE10 for 10% off. -Caldera + Lab | Go to https://calderalab.com/DAVE and use code DAVE at checkout for 20% off your first order. -Vibrant Blue Oils | Grab a full-size bottle for over 50% off at https://vibrantblueoils.com/dave.
