A year ago, I had serious concerns about the impact AI could have on humanity. Today, I use it in nearly every area of my life, from my business to my marriage and even with my kids. But learning how to use AI effectively requires a lot more thought and intention, and treating it less like a smarter version of Google. Today, I'm sitting down with my good friend Geoff Woods. Geoff is the author of the #1 international bestseller The AI-Driven Leader: Harness AI to Make Faster, Smarter Decisions. He helps individuals and executive teams use AI not as a replacement for human thinking, but as a thought partner that helps them solve problems, challenge assumptions, and make better decisions. In our conversation, Geoff shares his CRIT framework and explains how it can completely transform the way you use AI. He also shares how he created an AI marriage coach and how his executive assistant used AI to completely redefine her role, earning two promotions and putting herself on a path to becoming Geoff's COO. Whether you're skeptical of AI or already using it every day, this episode will challenge the way you think about what's possible. Y'all, have you ever stopped to think about the fact that you are literally teaching people how to treat you every single day? In this episode, part of our High Self-Worth Summer series, I'm getting into one of the most requested topics I get: boundaries. But before we go there, I want to talk about something that doesn't get enough airtime, which is standard. Because here's the thing, your standards are actually the root of your boundaries. A standard is a promise you make to yourself about how you're going to show up and how you'll allow yourself to be treated, and it's rooted in identity, not preference. Once I got clear on my own standards, everything about how I dated and who I let into my life started to shift. I break down my favorite metaphor for this, soil, roots, and flowers, and why boundaries are 90% energy, not a script you Google the night before a hard conversation.Inside the Episode:Why your standards are identity-rooted (not just preferences) and how that one shift changes everything about how you show up in dating and relationshipsMy soil, roots, and flowers metaphor, self-worth is the soil, standards are the roots, and boundaries are the flowers that naturally grow when the roots are healthyWhy boundaries aren't about being "too much" or "a bitch", they're proof that you believe you matter enough to protect yourselfIf this one hit home for you:

So here's the thing. I know I talk a lot about reading. It's pretty important to me. But all week I've been trying to prepare a different podcast, one NOT about the uncrackable justification for choice reading. But recently I heard from several teachers over in CHSE about thriving reading programs they had going, only to get shut down by folks who felt like reading in class was a waste of time. And then I kind of ended up in a rabbit hole, as I am wont to do. It's like researching the justification for choice reading became my guilty pleasure, sucking up all my time. I listened to audiobooks on my walks, pored over research roundups and articles at the coffee shop, hit up the hammock with my Penny Kittle, and stared and stared and stared at the growing evidence mounting in my endless Google doc of notes. The evidence is clear. The need for help for kids who don't read, don't like reading, and don't want to read is great. And yet STILL we are prioritizing reading snippets and drilling for tests to "improve" our readers' reading. I want you to have the information you need to fight. So here I am. Again. Despite my efforts to focus on something else this week. Let's dig deep. Keep winning! Two-time Emmy and Three-time NAACP Image Award-winning, television Executive Producer Rushion McDonald interviewed Jackson Dunbar. Summary of Jackson Dunbar's Interview with Rushion McDonald The interview blends personal testimony, healthcare advocacy, and financial education, offering listeners practical lessons on overcoming adversity and creating opportunities even during difficult circumstances. Purpose of the Interview The interview was designed to: Discuss Dunbar's book, Race Matters in Pain Medicine. Share his experience living with chronic pain and navigating the healthcare system. Educate audiences about resilience, self-advocacy, and adaptation after life-changing setbacks. Provide practical financial literacy and investing insights. Inspire entrepreneurs and professionals facing personal or professional obstacles. Key Takeaways 1. Resilience Is a Choice After a devastating accident drastically altered his quality of life, Dunbar chose to focus on what he could control rather than what he had lost. His story demonstrates the importance of adapting to new circumstances and continuing to move forward. 2. Chronic Pain Affects Every Area of Life Dunbar explained that chronic pain impacts much more than physical health. It can influence family relationships, emotional well-being, career opportunities, and everyday activities. 3. Healthcare Access Is Critical He emphasized the importance of obtaining proper medical treatment and insurance coverage, particularly for individuals who rely on ongoing medications and long-term care. 4. Financial Education Creates Opportunity Dunbar encouraged listeners to learn the fundamentals of investing and economic trends. He stressed that financial literacy begins with self-education and a willingness to study markets and investment principles. 5. Create a "New Normal" One of the strongest themes of the interview is that recovery does not always mean returning to a previous life. Success often comes from building a sustainable new reality that accommodates current circumstances. 6. Adversity Can Teach Valuable Lessons Dunbar described how his struggles forced him to develop greater discipline, patience, and focus—qualities that ultimately strengthened both his personal and professional life. Notable Quotes "Made Money, Lost 90 Pounds, and Thrived in Chronic Pain." A concise summary of Dunbar's personal transformation and the central theme of his story. "I'm able to get almost all of the medicines that I need covered by insurance." Highlighting the importance of healthcare access for people managing chronic conditions. "The first thing is just go on Google and pretend like you're writing yourself a paper on the stock market." Advice encouraging people to educate themselves before investing. "For the most part, it's all about two things: the current geopolitical landscape and interest rates." Dunbar's simple framework for understanding market conditions. "Most of your money is going to be made between zero and twenty." His perspective on identifying growth opportunities in lower-priced stocks. Bottom Line Jackson Dunbar's conversation with Rushion McDonald is ultimately a story about perseverance. Through discussions of entrepreneurship, chronic pain, investing, health, and personal growth, Dunbar demonstrates that setbacks do not have to determine outcomes. His message is that with education, discipline, adaptability, and resilience, people can continue to build meaningful and successful lives—even in the face of significant adversity. #SHMS #BEST #STRAWSupport the show: https://www.steveharveyfm.com/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The merging of big-technology with the CIA, and general intelligence community, alongside of social and mainstream media, is well-established in both fact and conspiracy lore. However, tracking down the origins of companies like Palantir, Axonius, OpenAI, ShieldAI, Flock Safety, etc., traces the origin of this system of total surveillance mostly to Israel, though countries like China play a role too - though they have worked heavily with Google. Many of the companies involved also derive their names from mythical realms and draw upon the inspiration of the all-seeing eye. Now that eye is infiltrating classrooms. Nvidia-backed Figure AI has been pushed by the White House directly, with its humanoid robot. Now the New York State Salamanca City Central School District is introducing Sally, a lifelike silicone teacher who will know students not by name but ID number. Sally is made by Reealbotix, which draws heavily from the language models of OpenAI, Meta and Google. Two are their hyper-realistic robots were given Hebrew names: Aria and David. Besides robotics, the U.S. has spent $30 billion to replace paper with digital devices in schools. This has reportedly led to a noticeable decline in cognitive ability among Gen Z. Although countries like Japan are famous for electronics, and have implemented similar policies in schools, Japanese students still outperform American students in most areas. Could this mean that perhaps the issue is far more related to effort and study than it is to technology? Then again, according to PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment), Japan had the lowest of all OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) countries for screen time. A study form the University of Tokyo also found that using paper strengthened brain activity more than screens, which has contributed to some schools taking a hybrid approach -- just like with gasoline and electric vehicles.*The is the FREE archive, which includes advertisements. Natural fibers and low maintenance!Kelly was a LEED Certified Architect in her previous career, and now is the Head of Sustainability for a solar company. She also has written a book called How to Kill the Planet in 8 Easy Steps: A Humorous Guide by a Satirical Snarkitecht. The world feels very serious and heavy, and she chooses to use humor as a coping mechanism. She does public speaking, and talks about small behavior changes that add up to a big impact, and the future of climate change. Like this: She also said that we can push back against AI by opting out of AI searches. She said that a straight Google search uses 10 times less electricity than the AI Google search.A "bright side" that Kelly mentioned is that many companies have posted their sustainability goals with an end goal of 2030, which means they should be crunching on those goals to make progress... I did bend her ear for a bit, asking about recycling solar, and digital clutter - sorry, and you're welcome? Everyone's plugging Meta, Google, and LinkedIn straight into AI via MCP and asking it where to spend their next ad dollar. Matt Chanella breaks down why that's exactly backwards — and why AI is going to make your ads more expensive, not more effective. In this episode of B2B Reality Check, Matt unpacks the two traps every B2B ad team falls into when they outsource strategy to AI:→ AI generates infinite creative variations — far more than you could ever run to statistical significance→ AI ad reporting always defaults to raw conversion volume, with zero context on campaign goals, funnel stage, or lead qualityMatt walks through why offline conversion tracking is the bare minimum, how to structure your AI context (project files, skills, clean conversion hierarchy) before you ever ask it to analyze spend, and why AI should be a thinking partner — not the decision-maker — for your ad strategy. In this episode:Why lower barriers to entry for AI-generated ads don't mean better ad performanceThe statistical significance problem with AI-generated creative testingWhy AI ad reporting can't distinguish high-intent conversions from low-intent ones (scroll depth, newsletter signups vs. booked meetings)How to give AI the right context before letting it touch your ad reportingWhy not every campaign (YouTube pre-roll, CTV, LinkedIn thought leadership) is designed for direct responseFAQQ: Can AI accurately tell me where to spend my next ad dollar?A: No — AI tools connected to your ad platforms track conversion volume and signal, but they can't tell you conversion quality: how many conversions become booked meetings, opportunities, or closed deals.Q: Why shouldn't I let AI generate all my ad creative variations?A: AI can produce far more creative iterations than you could ever run to statistical significance. Without a proper testing ramp and enough audience/budget to reach significance, you can't actually determine a winning message.Q: What's the minimum conversion tracking needed before using AI for ad strategy?A: Offline conversion tracking is the minimally viable setup — and even then, it should only be used for reporting, not for AI to dictate strategy.Q: Why does AI ad reporting always favor lead-gen campaigns?A: AI has no context on campaign objectives, measurement methodology (multi-touch, influenced, incrementality), or whether a campaign was designed for direct response versus brand consideration (the 95-5 principle). It defaults to whichever campaign produced the most raw conversions.Q: How do I set AI up correctly before using it for ad reporting?A: Build a project or skill collection with full context on your ad goals, objectives, segmentation, targeting, and measurement approach — before you ever ask it to analyze performance.

Storytelling has become the most overused word in marketing, and Emma Lieberman thinks that's exactly the problem. In this episode of Content Amplified, Emma, Director of Copy and Content at Impact Networking, argues that storytelling isn't a strategy to optimize, it's a craft, and treating it like a KPI is why so many brand stories fall flat. Drawing on Aristotle's Poetics, Emma breaks down what actually makes something a story (a beginning, a middle, an end, a character who changes) and why most marketing "stories" are really just branding wearing a costume. She walks through three examples that get it right: Grainger's YouTube series of unscripted client interviews, a Volvo ad that never shows the car until the very last second, and Google's classic "Parisian Love" ad told entirely through search bar queries. Emma also shares the one tactical move any marketing team can make tomorrow: start with client stories, since no sales team has ever said no to more of them. If you've ever wondered why your brand's "storytelling" isn't landing, this conversation explains what's actually missing.About EmmaEmma Lieberman didn't start out in marketing. She spent years in Los Angeles working as an actor and comedian, doing stand-up, sketch, and indie film, before the pandemic pushed her to try content writing as a freelancer. She quickly found that the skills she'd built connecting with an audience on stage translated directly to connecting with one in writing, and she moved from freelance work into an in-house role at Impact Networking. She's been promoted several times since and now serves as Director of Copy and Content at Impact Networking.Show NotesConnect with Emma on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/emma-lieberman/Text us what you think about this episode!

Dan Nathan and Guy Adami break down a wild week across markets — memory stocks in freefall, Google's brutal two-day selloff, and why China's AI models are closing the gap without top-tier Nvidia chips. Micron cratered from its all-time high of $1,255 to $800 in a matter of weeks, and the DRAM ETF whipsawed right along with it. Guy and Dan dig into whether this is a routine flush or something bigger. Google sold off 10% after Gemini news broke the hyperscaler rotation narrative, and they debate whether the moat still holds given decelerating margins and ballooning capex. On the China front: DeepSeek raised $7B at a $52B valuation, Alibaba announced $50B in capex, and Moonshot's new model is narrowing the gap with US labs — all without access to Nvidia's most advanced chips. Dan and Guy also revisit the Nvidia-vs-component-suppliers margin debate, unpack Apple's surprising rally into earnings, and call the technical line in the sand on Netflix after its cash flow miss cut the stock in half. Plus: a quick check on crude, refiners hitting new highs, and what's next for energy names like Exxon and ConocoPhillips. The conflict between the U.S. and Iran is once again threatening the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz, raising new concerns about gas prices, diesel costs, and the risk of global supply shortages.Chuck Zodda and Mike Armstrong break down why the situation in the Middle East remains so difficult to resolve, how refinery shutdowns in Russia, China, and the Persian Gulf are tightening supplies of gasoline and diesel, and why the U.S. may have limited options short of a major escalation. They also discuss the quiet earnings week ahead, why Alphabet's AI spending and delayed Gemini rollout matter for investors, how Waymo could become a bigger part of Google's future, whether retail investors are really moving beyond the Magnificent Seven, and why the World Cup delivered a major boost for Boston bars and local economies.
