In this episode, I'm coming off of a string of marketing successes. Therefore, instead of interviewing someone else, I've decided to share my experiences. The Reader's Digest version is that most lawyers who achieve marketing success do so through a variety of channels. The important thing is to choose the channels where you'll find your clients and referral sources. But it is equally important to choose activities that you like. In the end, you won't be able to predict which ones will work and which ones won't.  And that is to be expected. There's one other element super important to your lead generation efforts as well.Fact:  According to an Adobe survey, over 40% of customers will abandon your website if the content is visually unattractive. That's a pretty BIG reason why it's imperative for you to make sure your website is visually appealing.  Here are 3 specific things about your website that will impact lead generation:1.  First Impressions. It takes just a few seconds for visitors to make a judgment about your business, the quality, and the service they will receive based on how visually appealing your website is.2.  Design Features & SEO.  Certain site design features can have an impact on SEO. In order for search engine spiders to crawl your site effectively, your design elements and code must be SEO-friendly.3.  Audience Trust.  People don't trust websites that aren't well-designed especially if it includes outdated information, broken links, antiquated elements, and poor navigation. Set your business up for lead generation success... Recruiting.

Key Takeaways: We’ve spent the last decade primarily designing for a desktop and then thinking about how it would transition to a mobile device second, but it’s time for that to change. We need to start designing for mobile first and then thinking about how it scales up for desktop second.  Whether you call it multichannel or omnichannel marketing, you need to be doing it and you have to keep your customer at the center of it. This can be challenging for large organizations, but it’s possible to get everyone aligned and drive truly integrated campaigns across multiple channels throughout the entire customer journey.  It’s hard to purge subscribers and purposefully choose to decrease your subscriber list across any channel, but it’s something that we really need to make a cornerstone of your overall marketing strategy.  Full Shownotes:  https://www.lumavate.com/podcasts/how-to-make-multichannel-marketing-work-in-your-company

Businesses with an ecommerce focus often downplay the effectiveness of multichannel marketing by only using digital marketing channels. MultiChannel marketing allows the ecommerce business to reach its prospective or current customer in a channel of their liking. This supports the brand by showing the prospective customer that the brand is everywhere which in turn shows the company as being trustworthy, broad in scope and loaded with people they can relate to. Multichannel marketing enables the customer to choose the method of engagement rather than the marketer.
