Does your to-do list feel endless? Try this short, guided practice to help you reflect, reconnect, and release the pressure to do it all perfectly. How To Do This Practice: Find a Comfortable Posture: Sit or stand tall with a sense of dignity, grounded, yet relaxed. Take Three Cleansing Breaths: Inhale twice through the nose, then exhale slowly through the mouth. Repeat this three times to settle into the moment. Scan Your Body from Head to Toe: Gently bring your attention to each part of your body, noticing sensations and letting go of any tension as you move downward. Visualize Your To-Do List as Floating Bubbles: Imagine each task as a bubble above you. Observe them without judgment, simply noticing their presence. Ask Reflective Questions: Is it the number of tasks that's overwhelming, or is it fear of forgetting, failing, or letting someone down? What's truly fueling your stress? Recenter with Gratitude and Self-Compassion: Acknowledge that being needed is a form of purpose. Remind yourself that even if not everything gets done, you are still enough and already whole. “A lot of people when they go out and do things [after an injury] have this vengeance. It's always like, ‘I'm doing it for the people who counted me out,' or ‘I'm doing it for revenge.' But I'm doing it for the people who say I can do it because I have such an overwhelming amount of people who have been supportive and have known I can come back. It's so cool to prove them right.”It's not every day that an athlete disappears from racing for nearly three years—undergoes multiple surgeries, leaves their training group, and then returns to the track to drop a 1:44 in their first 800m back. But that's exactly what Donavan Brazier just did.The former world champion, American record holder, and longtime face of U.S. middle-distance running made a stunning comeback in Nashville this past weekend—not just running well, but dominating the field and flashing the brilliance that once made him one of the most electrifying athletes in the sport. If you've followed Donavan's career, you know the road back has been anything but easy. He's battled injuries, Achilles surgeries, a fractured tibia, bursitis—over 1,000 days without stepping onto a start line. He could have walked away. No one would have blamed him. But he didn't.Today, we dive into why. What kept him going? What was it like to toe the line again? And how does he see himself fitting into the most competitive U.S. 800m field in years? We reflect on the highs, the lows, the what-ifs and look ahead at what's next for both Donavan and the event he helped redefine. This is a story about resilience, patience, perspective—and the kind of raw talent that refuses to fade.Host: Chris Chavez | @chris_j_chavez on InstagramGuest: Donavan Brazier | @donavanbrazier on InstagramSUPPORT OUR SPONSORSOLIPOP: Olipop is a prebiotic soda that tastes like a throwback to your favorite childhood drinks, but it's loaded with benefits that your body will thank you for. Meet Laura Haver, the author of "Play Together” who's on a mission to help families rediscover the transformative power of play. Nahum 1:1-15 “Don't just pray for people experiencing hardship—step into their world and serve them.” It's easy to offer prayers from a distance, but true compassion requires action. In this thought-provoking episode of "Father and Joe," Joe Rockey and Father Boniface invite listeners to embark on a profound exploration of the indispensable role the Church has played in shaping our modern world. The episode begins with Joe recounting a vivid mental image of the crucifixion as a catalyst for the birth of the Church, underscoring the intimate relationship between Jesus and Mary at that pivotal moment. This visualization leads to a broader introspection about the myriad aspects of life we often take for granted, much like electricity during a power outage.Father Boniface expands on this notion, emphasizing how the Church has been the bedrock of countless modern advancements. Contrary to popular belief, the Church's influence extends well beyond spiritual guidance to include nurturing the growth of science, art, education, healthcare, and even the very foundations of Western civilization. From Galileo and Kepler to the architectural marvels that dot our urban landscapes, the Church's contributions are immeasurable. The conversation takes a practical turn, as Father Boniface and Joe challenge listeners to imagine a world without these contributions—a world where essential moral frameworks, scientific inquiry, and artistic endeavors never reached their full potential. The Church's historical commitment to fostering intellectual curiosity and compassion has provided humanity with tools to face the future with hope and innovation.Listeners are encouraged to appreciate the profound interconnectedness of human endeavor and divine inspiration. This episode highlights the importance of recognizing and nurturing the unique talents each of us brings to the table, advancing the Church's mission in diverse, meaningful ways. As we make use of our gifts to benefit others, we build on a legacy of faith-driven achievements that have sculpted both past and present.Join Joe and Father Boniface in this enriching dialogue that calls upon each of us to rediscover the foundations of our faith, recognize the Church's unseen influence in our lives, and aspire to contribute to its enduring mission. Together, let's engage with our spirituality, cultivate gratitude for our shared history, and step into our roles as active participants in a community bound by love, purpose, and faith.Tags:Faith, Church, Spirituality, Community, Purpose, Gratitude, Science and Faith, Historical Influence, Modern Civilization, Intellectual Curiosity, Artistic Contribution, Healthcare, Education, Western Civilization, Modern Science, Personal Talents, Contribution, Spiritual Direction, Divine Inspiration, Legacy, Innovation, Moral Frameworks, Global Influence, Relationship with God, Individual Calling, Society, Dependence, Forward-Looking, Creativity, Compassion, Hope, God, Love, Western Values, Empowerment, Fellowship, Historical Accounts, Contentment, Fulfillment, Meaningful Service, Connection, Modern Church.Hashtags:#FaithJourney, #RediscoverChurch, #SpiritualDirection, #GratitudeInFaith, #ChurchContributions, #HistoryOfScience, #FaithAndScience, #CulturalHeritage, #SpiritualGrowth, #PurposefulLiving, #CommunityInFaith, #WesternCivilization, #ArtAndFaith, #DivineInspiration, #RoleOfChurch, #MoralValues, #IntellectualCuriosity, #SpiritualAwakening, #EducationalImpact, #HealthcareLegacy, #HumanConnection, #ChurchAndModernity, #GlobalFaith, #RelationshipWithGod, #ChurchInfluence, #SpiritualLegacy, #CreativityAndFaith, #CompassionateLiving, #ModernGod, #EmpowermentThroughFaith, #LegacyOfTheChurch, #FellowshipTogether, #HistoricalInfluence, #GodAndCulture, #ContentmentInFaith, #ServingWithLove, #CulturalImpact, #BuildingTheFuture, #FaithAndHope.
From the time she was a little girl, Kerie Hamilton lived a life that, sadly, many people in our world can identify with. Kerie was abused by a horrible monster, her stepfather. He tortured Kerie and her sister in ways that are unthinkable. The girls weren't allowed to tell anyone because "next time will be worse" if they did. A childhood dominated by always being in a "fight or flight" state of mind causes damage that stays with the person for decades, creating the right set of circumstances for others to abuse you.At the encouragement of one of her friends, after her divorce Kerie entered the online dating world. This was a world that she knew nothing about because Kerie was married when the online thing launched. The first guy she "matched" with started giving Kerie everything that she thought was lacking in her life. He showed her lots of love and attention. Then everything turned dark. He hit her, threatened her, and placed tracking devices on her car. He began showing up wherever Kerie was. She didn't think the nightmare would ever end. In our interview, Kerie shares her personal story of surviving childhood abuse. You will learn about how she finally got away from the predator who hurt her as an adult. And you will learn how Kerie embraced psychotherapy to work on herself, a journey that continues today. Kerie is an inspiration. She shows no bitterness or lingering resentment. And she shows remarkable kindness.

When we are confronted with the big issues of life, it is not the strength of our faith that will matter, but the object of that faith. Because Jesus has the power and the authority to meet every need in our lives, we can confidently place our faith in Him.
This week, Pastor John continued our For Every Season sermon series with a message from Psalm 9. This Psalm invites us to cultivate gratitude by choosing to give thanks, remember God's faithfulness, and rejoice in His sovereignty. In a world full of hardship and injustice, we can rest in the truth that God sees, God reigns, and God has not forgotten us.

Welcome to the final Rise Up video—Pentecost Sunday! Fr. Jonathan Meyer thanks you for pressing play all 96 days, walks us through the coming of the Holy Spirit, and challenges us to root out division in our hearts, families, and communities. Drawing on the image of the apostles in the upper room (and even a relic of the Twelve!), he contrasts Pentecost's unity with the separation at Babel. In a year of unrest, we're reminded that only the Spirit can heal the divisions that plague us.
How should we respond to the God who died for us that we might live with him? I. Don't refuse him because He is speaking to you in his Son, v25. II. Be grateful because you are receiving an enduring kingdom, vv26-28. III. Be reverent in your worship and service because our God is a consuming fire, vv28-29.

Lisa Tahir is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), certified in EMDR Level I, Reiki Level II, and a Thought Coach through the Institute for Transformational Thinking. She hosts the All Things Therapy podcast and authored The Chiron Effect: Healing Our Core Wounds through Astrology, Empathy, and Self-Forgiveness, which was endorsed by the Dalai Lama. The Chiron Effect is a concept developed by Tahir that describes how individuals are drawn to areas of personal wounding. She explains that people often orbit around specific core issues and themes. Tahir uses the astrological placement of the minor planet Chiron in a birth chart as a diagnostic tool to identify these core wounds and unconscious patterns. Understanding this can help individuals develop self-empathy and practice self-forgiveness.Tahir emphasizes that an "orbit" represents a habitual pattern, and changing this orbit can change an individual's "frequency." In essence, by altering established patterns, people can achieve different results in their lives. For more, visit: https://www.nolatherapy.com/Send us a textSupport the show Contact me at: postcardstotheuniverse@gmail.com Shout out and follow on IG - @postcardstotheuniverse https://linktr.ee/postcardstotheuniverse Thank you and keep listening for more great shows!
