Despite the location containing a well-known and widely reported Native American cemetery, the ghosts are actually somewhat unexpected and weirdly delightful. In this episode of The Three Bells, our host, Criena Gehrke sits down with Senior Architect Naseema Asif and Studio Director Peter Emerson, from international design collective RIOS. The two share their insights on what goes into making a project successful, from incorporating evolution to exploring unanticipated angles and embracing a touch of 'messiness' throughout the process.External references: RIOS website The Music Center Plaza San Diego's Balboa Park Houston's Lynn Watt Square For Performing Arts Gold Coast Hi-Lights Lampposts of progress: Hi-Lights Gold Coast Council votes to remove public art installation 'Hi-Lights' from the M1 at Yatala Naseema Asif Bio:Naseema is a Senior Architect at RIOS. She has been the Project Architect on commercial and institutional projects ranging from a community center in Playa Vista to the transformation of a 1980s office park into creative office space. She is a trusted architect and manager, orchestrating complex project teams and projects with a focused vision on the end result. These projects track an ongoing exploration into the integration of tools from architecture and landscape architecture to shape spaces that respond to the unique relationship between a proposed program and the site's environment. She adeptly blends disciplines to create places that blur traditional boundaries and redefine our conceptions of place. Naseema is inspired by the notion of craft and tectonics. Her personal interest in making manifests through construction as an art form, exploring the juxtaposition of materials and textures in projects which transcend disciplines. Her expertise and experience with sustainability is evident in her work on the Resort at Playa Vista. The green building strategies she instituted for this project led to a LEED Platinum certification, the highest level of environmental recognition. Her current projects include Music Center Plaza Renovation, which will enhance the Center's connection to the community by making it more accessible to the public, and The Park, a transformation of San Diego Tech Center into and amenity-filled active landscape to augment the workplace community. Peter Emerson Bio:Peter has built a career around complex projects and integrated design. Since joining RIOS in 2016, Peter has quickly contributed these skills to become an integral part of the practice. His wealth of experience designing and building campus landscapes, parks, and iconic public spaces have been an asset to some of our most complex projects. Peter melds landscape, planning, and architecture at all scales of design, while working closely with stakeholders, collaborators, and clients to create inspiring places for people to live, work, and play. His experience spans levels of scale and expertise, from organic farming and systems all the way to international experience designing landscapes for U.S. embassies that promote ecological diplomacy and design excellence. His projects find balance, whether it be between security and accessibility like at the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool and grounds, or design and programming like at Jones Plaza in the Houston Theater District. He is a registered landscape architect and a 2009 Olmsted Scholar.

Melanie Wolff is a mother of three under nine and knows a thing or two about juggling work and parenting. Armed with an undergraduate degree from Princeton and an MBA from Columbia, Melanie spent 15 years working in advertising, marketing, and technology for brands including; Schick, Johnson & Johnson, Bravo, and Amazon before launching Brella. After moving to the West Coast and starting a family, Melanie became aware of the lack of early child care services that matched a full-time work schedule and her needs as a parent. After being introduced by a friend to Darien Williams, an architect who shared her hope for more meaningful and updated child care service and space, the two started brainstorming and Brella was born. In addition to the intentionally designed space, parent education, and a customized curriculum for early childhood, Brella has created the first on-demand, technology-enabled child care service that focuses on the needs of families today. In this episode, Nada sits down with Melanie to discuss how she never intended to be an entrepreneur. Once she found herself living with a problem she thought she could solve, it became clear that it was time to take the entrepreneurial leap. Melanie tells us that although she and Darien share many overlapping strengths, they have successfully made that partnership work despite all the advice to differentiate. Setting clear guidelines on how they would solve future problems, they started establishing their partnership before establishing their ideas. Together, they are creating spaces for children to thrive in this day and age, leaving behind the antiquated structures from the 1950s.If you never thought you would launch your own thing, this conversation is specifically for you! Be sure to check out Melanie's use for all things cleaner, hypochlorous acid, and the brand LUMION.Check out Brella's website to look at their beautiful locations in Playa Vista, Hollywood, and soon to open Pasadena. What can I do in this life?  Infusing fun into the process, Lucca guides people to see what is possible for them. Although officially beginning her career at the young age of 17, Williamson always wanted to be a chef for as long as she can remember. “I love creating things that make people happy, and I’ve found that food genuinely does that,” she explains. Williamson began her culinary career as a teacher’s assistant at the Epicurean Institute of Los Angeles, followed by securing her first kitchen position as a pastry assistant at Fenix at the Argyle Hotel, under the tutelage of Michelin- starred Chef Ken Frank. Her undeniable star quality and concentrated creative energy brought her to Chef Michael McCarty’s nationally acclaimed restaurant Michael’s of Santa Monica, where she worked her way up from line cook to being their youngest sous chef. Desiring to travel and experience other restaurants, Williamson later staged at the renowned Daniel restaurant by Chef and Owner Daniel Boulud in New York City. Two years later, Williamson was appointed her first executive chef position at the notable Los Angeles restaurant Boxer. Following that, she opened the Brentwood eatery Zax as Executive Chef, where she began to develop her signature California-inspired cuisine—infused with local ingredients, global flavors and centered around the idea that simplicity goes a long way. While at Zax, she also met her husband and business partner Nick Roberts. The two opened their first independent venture together a couple of years later, Amuse Café in Venice, followed by Beechwood restaurant soon after, earning them the title of “Rising Star Chefs” from StarChefs in 2004. Although both are now closed, in 2009, the wife and husband team opened Hudson House, an elevated gastropub in Redondo Beach, followed by The Tripel in 2011, a modern American and craft beer dining destination in the neighboring beachfront community of Playa del Rey. During that time, Williamson became certified by The Court of Master Sommeliers, given her strong interest in wine that first sparked in the early 2000s after traveling extensively through France and Spain. In 2014, the culinary couple debuted a unique four-in-one-concept, Playa Provisions, featuring a grab-and-go marketplace, King Beach; an artisanal ice cream shop, Small Batch; a seafood dining spot, Dockside; and an intimate whiskey bar, Grain. In June 2015, Williamson and Roberts opened Tripli-Kit, a culinary-focused retail store, selling unique kitchen gadgets, cookbooks, and other cooking essentials. In October 2016, the duo debuted their fifth venture in Playa Vista, a fast-casual, Hawaiian concept called Da Kikokiko, celebrating Hawaii’s popular street foods, including poké, shave ice, and musubi. Most recently, the couple opened their second Small Batch artisanal ice cream shop in the family-friendly neighborhood of Mar Vista. Williamson won Bravo’s “Top Chef” Season 14 in Charleston in March 2017 and a few years prior was a runner-up on “Top Chef” Season 10 in Seattle, which catapulted her career. She’s also participated on other national shows like Bravo’s “Top Chef Duels,” Esquire network’s “Knife Fight” (where she took home the win), and starred as the host and mentor on MTV’s “House of Food.” During her day-to-day operations, she works alongside Roberts creating new menus, running the front and back of the house, and managing their multiple concepts. When she finds time outside of her many ventures, Williamson stays active by running, bike riding, and playing chase with her 9-year-old son, Hudson.

Today on the Spiritual Spiral, I am positive you're going to laugh out loud while listening to the fun conversation I had with my friend and LA based yoga teacher, Toniann Monaco. Something I've always loved about Toniann is how she never holds anything back and tells it like it is. I met Toniann almost five years ago during our yoga teacher training program and she is currently a teacher at Sweat Yoga in Playa Vista and she also teaches classes online on Instagram and on Zoom. Toniann and I touch on a myriad of topics starting with the insanity and anxiety surrounding Covid-19 and how simple tasks like going to Kmart or Homegoods just don't feel so simple anymore. Toniann is also an actor and a hair stylist so we talk about how Covid-19 has impacted her life and the other industries she works in. We talk about the pressures that stem from social media, the importance of breathing and staying grounded during times of crisis and we have a good laugh about some of the random similarities we share such as being sensitive to sound and how we've both been wearing masks on planes for years. Be sure to follow Toniann on Instagram where you can find out more about her online class schedule. [TRANSCRIPT] Accelerate Your Results By Asking For Help Today we’re going to discuss a topic that came up a lot from athletes on recent phone calls: asking for help. If you are a formerly-competitive athlete, you know this is not one of our fortes… "I got it, coach." "I can do it myself." "It's okay, I can figure it out." "Don't worry, I've got it." "No, I'm good, thanks." Maybe when you were actually competitive, you were like me as a kid and didn’t need help because you let your talent carry you until you cracked. Sometimes we’re even taught that if we ask for help, it’s a sign of weakness. I decided to rally our Train Like A Gymnast coaches to discuss this topic as well as take a peek into their own personal experiences. You’ll get to hear from our operations manager, Claire and our Registered Dietician Nutritionist, Heather. Every week, the three of us have a team huddle meeting, and last night we talked about this topic after we got the business stuff sorted away. We'd love to hear what insights you have from this episode, email us at team@trainlikeagymnast.com.

[TRANSCRIPT] How You Know You Need To Update Your Life's Blueprint. Today we’re going to dive into what a coaching call with me looks like with one of our VIP team members, Alexis Iglesias. You’re going to learn so much from HER call, you’re going to want one of your own! At first, on the surface, it looked like Alexis needed help with time management and finding a schedule that works for her, but after some digging, we discovered it stems from some unrealistic expectations she put on herself from an outdated blueprint. What's a blueprint you might be wondering? It's the rough plan or vision you have set for yourself. Sometimes it stays with us for years despite changes we go through in life. (Married at 24, kid at 25, making $100k by age 30, buy a house, etc) Then, when our lives don't match this blueprint, we get frustrated thinking about where we SHOULD be. But our expectations of ourselves are based on this outdated blueprint we created when we were maybe 16 or 21. There's nothing wrong with us, we simply need some updating to being fulfilled with where we are. When our blueprints are aligned with reality, we are fulfilled. Do YOU need to update your blueprint? We'd love to hear what insights you have, email us at team@trainlikeagymnast.com. Join us as we discover what made Steve Nash become one of the greatest playmakers in NBA history, and how he translates his mindset and knowledge into new adventures after his career. Listen how he explains the idea that athletes die twice. As an athlete, you essentially have to die and grieve, and come out as a new person with a new purpose to live the rest of your life. Steve is an 8 time NBA All-Star, he was called twice Most Valuable Player and made it into the Hall of Fame in 2018. Steve Nash is not just one of the greatest basketball players but also an incredibly talented soccer player. I have witnessed his talent and passion for soccer around two years ago on a soccer field in Playa Vista. It took me not even 10 seconds and two touches with the ball to see his abilities. After the game he told me that he grew up playing soccer. His dad John played professionally in South Africa and his brother Martin even suited up for his country. Steve is one of the biggest Tottenham fans and made it a priority to play twice a week ever since he retired. If it wasn't for that we probably wouldn't have had the chance to get connected. We are so excited to have Steve on our podcast and share with you the incredible insights he offered into his mindset. -Arne

In acknowledgment of John's contributions to the field of green building and sustainability, he was recognized by the U.S. Green Building Council as a Fellow in 2012.   John Zinner - Sustainability Opportunities John was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.  He started his career in policy and program side.  John was involved in solar energy in grad school and has leveraged his experiences to future jobs.  1978 was John's first sustainability project. Prior to founding ZC, John founded and managed the Los Angeles office of an environmental consulting firm, and served as both Energy Coordinator and Planning Advisor for the City of Los Angeles Office of the Mayor. He holds an MA in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Southern California, and a BA in Political Science from The Colorado College. "I was asked to lead a charge to write a residential sustainability guideline for over 5,000 residential units in 1978 and LEED was in pilot." – John Zinner   1970 Challenges Early challenges in the 1970's centered around education.  On the Playa Vista project, workshops were held but everyone wanted to know what they really had to do and that is how guidelines were developed. "Playa Vista is a project that I am still involved in and have a lot of support." – John Zinner   Mentors John recognizes Dave Peterson a grad school professor was a mentor that stood out.  He was involved in the solar energy lab and was the one who got it started. We were all excited about getting involved at the ground floor as something new.   LEED Movement One of the first LEED projects for John was the first Platinum Museum.  There were a enough developers doing LEED core and shell that it spiked the interest for others to join in for market purposes. "It was an interesting voyage.  Some developers were eyeing it, not quite sure what to do with it.  A lot of the early push came out of the local government." – John Zinner   Pro-Tips/Routines/Rituals "Having a good staff, focusing on where my skills are best and letting my staff do the technical side of LEED including documentation and I am more focused on client relations and strategic opportunities.  I think knowing who you are, knowing what you are good at and knowing what you're not good at and surrounding yourself with or joining a team with the skills to fill the holes." – John Zinner To hear more about John's journey and his thoughts on LEED, Solar Energy, Sustainability and Carbon download and listen to the episode!   Book Suggestions: The Wizard and the Prophet: Two Remarkable Scientists and Their Dueling Visions to Shape Tomorrow's World by Charles C. Read today’s show notes on https://www.evnewsdaily.com   Well good morning, good afternoon and good evening, wherever you are in the world, hello and welcome to the Monday 30th July edition of EV News Daily. It’s Martyn Lee here with the news you need to know about electric cars and the move towards sustainable transport.   TESLA MODEL S/X INTERIOR UPDATE COULD MIMIC MODEL 3 Fred at Electrek says he's seen concept images which show a Tesla Model S and Model X interior refresh in 2019. He's billed it as an exclusive and does say Tesla declined to comment so for now, taking Electrrek at their word, this is a one source story. But there's no reason to think this isn't real because in the past they've been able to source stories with accuracy, but there's part of me which feels a little uncomfortable saying this is what the cars will look like. If it is true, I don't know if this is the way Tesla would want it announced. Or maybe they're happy with us just talking about it? So for now, let's you and I call them design ideas which might or might not ever make their way into a car. A bit like when fans online do mock-ups of what the next iPhone might look like! The pictures show an interior very much like the Model 3. He says: "Tesla is now looking to harmonize the interior of all its vehicles in its line-up and that means going even more minimal with the Model S and Model X, like Tesla did with Model 3." So we're looking at one large landscape screen, and a dash with just that one single air vent running along it. That makes sense, it's one of the most innovative features of the Model 3 and really should be in every Tesla as a pillar of their design language. There's a smaller instrument cluster so not all of the infomation would be moved over to the touchscreen. I won't go any further, but I'll link through to the Electrek article where you can read more.   https://electrek.co/2018/07/30/tesla-model-s-x-interior-refresh-exclusive-first-look/   PORSCHE CONFIRMS SPECS FOR TAYCAN (AKA MISSION-E) Porsche says it wants to shift to electric cars before all other German auto manufacturers. According to details released by the Porsche Newsroom today: "By 2025 the aim is for every second Porsche sold to have an electric drive unit, with half of the models purely electric and the other half plug-in hybrids." "Porsche will release its first electric model, the Taycan sports car, in 2019. Current estimates project roughly twenty thousand units a year." "Two permanently excited synchronous motors (PSM), like those deployed in the Le Mans–winning 919 Hybrid, generate a permanent rotary motion that can be applied at any time without needing to be started. One motor powers the Taycan’s rear axle, the other the front wheels. Together they generate over 600 hp (440 kW) and are fed by batteries designed to provide five hundred kilometers of range. The Taycan sprints from 0 to 100 kmh in well under 3.5 seconds and tops 200 kmh in under 12." "The company is pursuing three options: First, charging at home—possible with a charging station or inductively via a base plate in the floor. Second, charging in cities—possible through existing infrastructure. And third, charging along the main traffic arteries in Europe. The joint venture Ionity was formed to do just that. Together with the BMW Group, Daimler AG, the Ford Motor Company, and the Volkswagen Group with Audi, Porsche is laying the groundwork for the establishment of a powerful fast-charging network for electric vehicles in Europe. The construction and operation of some four hundred fast-charging parks by 2020 are important steps toward making electromobility viable for long-distance routes as well and thus establishing itself on the market." "For Porsche customers, the main priority is being able to charge their vehicle rapidly even where the local power grid is weak. That’s now possible thanks to intermediary buffer batteries, which always have enough capacity on hand. Specifically, this means fast charging in about fifteen minutes for a range of four hundred kilometers at every Porsche charging point."   https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/products/porsche-taycan-mission-e-drive-unit-battery-charging-electro-mobility-dossier-sportscar-production-christophorus-387-15827.html   AUDI PB18 e-tron EV CONCEPT COMING TO PEBBLE BEACH "Audi has announced it’ll be showing off a brand new concept car at Pebble Beach in a few weeks. Called the PB18 e-tron, the new concept car will be revealed first at Laguna Seca racetrack on 23 August, but will then appear at events throughout the week" reports Curtis Moldrich for CAR Magazine, he says: "the car takes part of its name and some technology from Audi’s all-conquering R18 e-tron Le Mans car. A teaser image suggests a wide, low-slung supercar, which is pretty much what we’d expect. Audi says the new car was styled at the new Malibu Design Loft, and we’re expecting a mixture of LMP1 car, Audi R8 and Audi e-tron quattro concept car."   https://www.carmagazine.co.uk/car-news/first-official-pictures/audi/audi-e-tron-electric-car-news-specs-pictures-prices/   DELIVERY FROM ELON MUSK Having waited for years to take delivery of a Model 3 for some Day 1 reservation holders would be reason enough to celebrate the big day (see Ryan McCaffery's Ride The Lightning midweek extra podcast to hear what I'm talking about) but imagine if the CEO dropped it off himself. That's what happened yesterday. Elon tweeted about trialling a new delivery system where a trailer takes the car direct from Fremont to your door in a closed container, avoiding any uncessary shipping, storage or plastic wraps to protect it. He said: "We tried out a new delivery system using an enclosed trailer straight from factory to owner’s home, so super convenient & car arrives in pristine condition without wasting plastic wrap." A twitter user Devin Scott (@MichiganMan2007) from Playa Vista, CA posted pictures of his Tesla Model 3 arriving and being handed over by Elon, and tweeted: “When @elonmusk hand delivers your #Teslamodel3

EP22 - Beauty, Parenting, Addiction & Entrepreneurship with Shay Merchav   Thanks for listening to another episode of The DreamMason® Podcast. Today our guest is a relentless and scrappy entrepreneur, a beauty expert, and a loving, beautiful woman and mother.   It's a pleasure to introduce you to Shay Merchav, one of the owners of Beauty Beach Lounge - a popular beauty salon in the rapidly developing area of Playa Vista, in Los Angeles.   In LA, beauty is a competitive sport. But Shay and her partner, Jennifer Nairn, are fun, fearless, hardworking and passion-driven entrepreneurs. But this episode isn't just about beauty. Shay is also a loving single mother, a recovering meth user - who in her past lost everything including her home and her boyfriend who lost his life to the drug. Shay has big dreams, including opening additional locations and creating a product line, as well as an academy.   Something I learned about Shay while recording this episode is her firm belief that in life you must be kind. It's non-negotiable, and the place from which Shay does everything.   It was an honor to sit down with someone so open, vulnerable, and willing to share her journey. And her hope is that it may be of service to others.   For this episode, I went down to Shay's Salon to record. But due to some unexpected circumstances, we ended up recording outside near a little pond.   I hope that you not only enjoy the conversation, but also the natural acoustics we discovered.   Thanks for listening. Deena Sease (customer service, Woodland Hills, Ca) told me that she had already touched basis with Darlene regarding my concerns about the new supposedly "low-flow" toilets which require at least (4) flushes to actually work properly. When I cornered Darlene by telling her that Deena Sease actually told me that she had already briefed Darlene about my concerns Darlene finally not only admitted but apologized for not getting back to me. Initially Darlene tried to make me believe she had no clue about my concerns about the toilets.(2). Two neighbors (volunteered) told me that they had negotiated their rent due to financial hard-ship. I had expressed my interest in negotiating my rent prior to talking to either of these residents. I was told by Darlene and Veronica that under no circumstance did or would Woodside/Essex negotiate rent. PRO-DTECH II FREQUENCY DETECTOR(Buy/Rent/Layaway)When I informed them that two residents informed me about their exceptions then the deadly duo finally figured out they should come-up with a reason why an exception was indeed made. Hmmm. (3). I put in a work-order requesting that the maintenance people come in and touch-up peeling and flaking paint on our kitchen and bathroom cabinets. My work order was posted and for (3) weeks I was told by Darlene that when things slowed down a bit (new sheep I mean tenants moving in) I would have my request addressed.CELLPHONE DETECTOR (PROFESSIONAL)(Buy/Rent/Layaway)I waited at least a week and then called to follow-up, then I was told that Leo (our maintenance worker) would drop-off some paint as he was not allowed to actually do the work.Twitter:  #EssexPropertyTrustSucks And  #WoodsideVillageAptsSucks: https://t.co/8jWU8UK5Jb pic.twitter.com/KpIO59h7Nw— Nanny Camera Rentals (@dplsurve) June 25, 2016Patricia Wilson reviewed Essex Property Trust — 1 starMarch 19 · Essex has essentially stolen $500 from us by letting us apply, lying and saying we were accepted, then telling us we couldn't be accepted unless we gave up one of our cats. We asked for our $500 deposit back and were told a check was forthcoming...on Feb 2. Numerous phone calls, emails, messages on their site, etc have only led to ONE call back, and the person in charge of refunds who called me back (at 5:50 pm, ten minutes before they close, so I couldn't get anyone when I called back almost immediately) has not called me back again after 2 more days of leaving voicemails. When I call her # it goes to voicemail EVERY TIME. We are now in the process of contacting the Seattle Tenants Union and getting their legal assistance. PRO TIP- do not even bother applying to any Essex property, they will rip you off however they can.PRO-DTECH III FREQUENCY DETECTOR(Buy/Rent/Layaway)When I saw him personally on premises (two weeks later) I again requested the paint to be dropped-off on my porch. He confirmed that this was not a problem and he would do it as soon as he returned from running to the store. He never complied with my request or followed-up with me.PRO-DTECH III FREQUENCY DETECTOR(Buy/Rent/Layaway)I called the leasing office and was told by Darlene that not only was I not going to get the assistance they agreed to help me with and that at least a year ago the company decided that touching-up paint in the interior was not something that they were even allowed to do.Christopher Kim reviewed Essex Property Trust — 1 starMarch 8 · Omg honestly, just like others have said, if I could give it negative 10 stars I would. I have been living at Park Catalina in Los Angeles CA for about 4 years now, and I've been biting my tongue and letting the things not get to me but this time the entrance gate for our garage has been broken for over a month and I spoke with our property manger and she basically just told me to live with it until they fix it. It's not even like this place is a cheap to live in. After I talked to the property manager at our location and getting a "too bad for you" attitude, I call the actually company (Essex Property Trust) and leave a message which I don't get a call back from, my wife left a comment thing and they call her back but she missed the call so she had me call them back and still Deena doesn't pick up. So I left a comment request on their site and still I don't get a call back. What kind of shit is this? Clearly they don't give a shit about their residents, even after you've been living there for several years. This is probably the worst fucking experience I've had trying to figure out what's going on at my apartment. If anyone is reading this and you're trying to move into an apartment and you that it's owned by Essex, just leave. They don't care about you or your complaints. doesn't matter about how long you've stayed at their place. Fucking worse customer service than AT and T, and that's saying something. On one occasion I was actually standing near Leo when Darlene called his cell and told him that I had two work-orders (one was for touching-up paint in the kitchen and bathroom) that needed to be addressed and he agreed that he would look into them asap.PRO-DTECH III FREQUENCY DETECTOR(Buy/Rent/Layaway)So today, finally (upset by their lack of cooperation, deception, procrastination, etc.) I go to the leasing office for an explanation. Darlene marched me outside and TOLD me that I was not justified in my anger and had to immediately leave the area of the leasing office. She informed me that she would call the police if I didn't leave right-away. So I called the police myself and when they finally came to my unit I reminded them that I was merely trying to make sure that my unit and surrounding area reflected a certain pride of ownership/rentership.Michelle Mccown reviewed Essex Property Trust — 1 starMarch 8 · I live at the alpine CA location and its very poor, the landscaping doesn't do good at all. They rip plants and bushes out, they leave a mess and all the roots, me and my family are the ones who clean up in front and sweep a pile down to the street and sometimes it takes them a week to pick it up even though they pass it mutlipe times a day. There's no play area for children especially young ones, the dumpster is disgusting the one by my apt, trash always everywhere, trash company  sometimes goes days without dumping it, and we all have to pay AUM bill which there is 301 units here with only 1 water meter so everyone is being OVER CHARGED for water, and we are paying for trash and no one knows how much 1 person is dumping, you would have an elderly person dump 1 bag a week away and there being charged $20 a month. That's not right! Love the area and want to stay living here but they need to be thinking about the issues here.WIRELESS/WIRED HIDDENCAMERA FINDER III(Buy/Rent/Layaway)Now I clearly see that either the deadly-duo (Darlene and Veronica) are either prejudice against blacks (actually we're a mixed couple) or maybe they prefer to be slum-lords and delight in having slum-residents. HmmmmPRO-DTECH IV FREQUENCY DETECTOR(Buy/Rent/Layaway)It seems that corporate wants to have absolutely nothing to do with holding these two accountable and treating everyone fairly so beware of coming to live in an Essex or particularly a Woodside Village unit. Checkout some of the reviews on their Facebook page and exercise extreme caution lest you waste valuable time and money dealing with these people. Last week, Michael Graves passed away at the age of 80. In the aftermath, much attention has been paid to his most eye-catching work, but as often occurs when someone of great influence passes away, focusing on the person's products comes at the expense of honoring their humanity – simply, who they were as a person. In this light, this episode we hear from Patrick Burke, principal and studio head at Michael Graves Architecture & Design (where Burke got his start in 1982), reflect on Graves’ life of hard work, perseverance, and empathy. Paul and Amelia also paid a visit to the UCLA IDEAS campus in Playa Vista, to speak with Craig Hodgetts about his rapidly accelerating Hyperloop Studio, where students are bringing Elon Musk’s transit technology into the near-future.
