Why Do I Say Sorry for Everything? — People-Pleasing Anxiety Relief | Guided Meditation with 4-2-6 Breathing If you've ever wondered "why do I say sorry for everything?", from bumping into someone to simply having a feeling, today's guided meditation is for you. Calming Anxiety sits with the quiet, exhausting reflex of chronic apologizing, the fear that if you're agreeable enough, easy enough, small enough, nobody will ever be angry with you. We slow the body first with 4-2-6 breathing, in for four, hold for two, out for six, creating the same small pause Martin often had to teach frightened patients as a paramedic: the space between the trigger and the reaction. For daily support beyond this episode, download Anchored on iOS, with Android arriving in a couple of weeks.
Have you ever wondered what would happen if you loosened your grip on the plan and started following what lights you up instead? In this episode, Jessica sits down with Cameron Oaks Rogers: creator of the Freckled Foodie empire, host of Conversations with Cam, mom, and TBMer. Cameron shares how a life-changing accident pushed her to leave her career at JP Morgan, start a food Instagram, and eventually build it into a thriving podcast and community. They talk about testing out new passions before you leap, trusting your gut, fitting manifestation into motherhood, and letting yourself evolve. Cameron also gets real about body image, breaking generational patterns, showing her kids what true self-worth looks like. If you're feeling pulled toward a new career, a creative project, or just a new version of yourself, this episode is your permission slip to begin. Comparison Anxiety — A Guided Meditation for When You Feel Behind in Life | Box Breathing Comparison anxiety can creep in on the most ordinary days — that quiet sense that everyone else has the job, the relationship, the plan, and you're still standing at the same crossroads. This guided meditation is for anyone who feels like the only one who hasn't got it together, using box breathing (4-4-4-4) to calm the nervous system before a set of gentle affirmations that put the measuring stick down for good. Download the free Anchored app — the one app with no feed, no likes, nothing to compare yourself against — at https://apps.apple.com/us/app/anchored-panic-anxiety/id6785035669 Hosted by clinical hypnotherapist and former paramedic Martin Hewlett, this episode gently separates life-stage comparison anxiety from doomscrolling — it's not about the scroll itself, but about what we do to ourselves when we hold our own life up against someone else's highlight reel. You'll be guided through steady box breathing, then a golden-light visualisation and a set of affirmations to help you feel calm, grounded, and enough exactly as you are. ⏱️ Time Chapters* 00:00 – Cold Open: The Only One Who Hasn't Got It Together* 01:00 – Box Breathing (4-4-4-4)* 05:00 – Golden Light Affirmations* 09:00 – 3 Daily Caring Tips* 10:00 – Outro & Anchored
Have you heard it or said it? Maybe your body image issues are "your thorn in the flesh." It sounds comforting, but is it actually true? In this episode, we take a close look at what Paul's thorn in 2 Corinthians 12 actually was — and wasn't — and see how body image issues are different than the situation Paul discusses there. We'll also talk about how recognizing that your body image issues aren't your "thorn in the flesh" may be some of the most hopeful news you get, because then there's a cure for them. And, it's all found in scripture! Key Scripture references: 2 Corinthians 12:7–10 (the thorn in the flesh) Colossians 3:5 ("greed, which is idolatry") Colossians 3:9–10 (put off the old self, put on the new) Romans 6:14 (sin shall not be your master) 1 John 1:9 (confession and cleansing) 2 Corinthians 5:17 (new creation) Discussion questions for listeners / community: Have you ever described your body image struggle as "your thorn"? How did that framing shape whether you expected it to change? Try praying both prayers from this episode — the confession prayer and the contentment prayer. Which one actually named what's true for you? What would it look like this week to bring one specific piece of body-image idolatry into the light through honest confession? Timestamped Guide to Episode 00:00 Exploring body image and faith 03:38 Addressing body image issues 09:41 Biblical thorns and grace 12:21 Idols in Modern Christian Culture 16:32 Understanding body image issues 19:00 Inviting women to join workshop 22:16 Admitting struggles and seeking help 27:39 Choosing the right prayer 28:45 Dealing with aging and grace A note: This episode distinguishes disordered body worship (idolatry) from genuine physical affliction (illness, disability, medical conditions). Listeners walking through the latter should be pointed toward lament and grace, not confession — this episode is specifically addressing the worship-pattern many of us have around appearance and worth. We're so excited to welcome Dr. Marisa Franco back to the podcast for the third time to talk about something so many of us struggle with: feeling worthy. We're diving into why simply telling ourselves to “love ourselves” doesn't always work, how our past experiences continue to shape the way we see ourselves today, and what it can look like to meet ourselves with more understanding instead of trying to force ourselves to feel differently. We also talk about how our own self-worth impacts the way we show up for our kids and how we can help the next generation build a healthier relationship with themselves.Key Topics CoveredWhy insecurity can actually be an adaptive responseHow attachment theory can become another form of perfectionismWhy some people struggle to receive complimentsThe connection between self-worth, memories, and our emotional responsesHow to recognize, regulate, and respond to difficult emotionsCONNECT WITH DR. I sit down with psychologist and bestselling author Dr. Marisa Franco to break down the crucial differences between fragile self-esteem and true, lasting self-worth. We explore why traditional self-help advice often backfires, how unresolved "open" memories quietly drive present-day reactivity, and why healing requires loving self-acceptance rather than trying to eradicate your flaws. Dr. Franco also shares practical, science-backed tools - including memory reconsolidation and somatic exercises - to help you build a grounded foundation of internal security.SHOW HIGHLIGHTS00:00:00 - Introduction & Self-Worth vs. Self-Esteem00:03:03 - Why Positive Self-Talk Can Backfire00:04:40 - Open Memories: The Database of Self-Esteem00:07:00 - Moving Past Self-Evaluation to Authenticity00:09:23 - Rethinking Attachment Theory and the "Secure" Ideal00:13:40 - Why You Can't Coerce Yourself Into Healing00:18:07 - Memory Reconsolidation and Updating the Past00:28:46 - Implicit Memory, the Amygdala, and Somatic Triggers00:35:36 - Separating Personhood and Self-Worth from Performance00:43:49 - Deep Exploration vs. Superficial Acceptance00:46:46 - Relational Expressions of Low Self-Worth00:53:00 - Working Memory Theory, Tetris, and Somatic Tools***Tired of feeling like you're never enough? You are not disposable. People can walk out of your life — but that has nothing to do with your value, your worth, or who God made you to be.This is one of the most personal episodes Norense has recorded. In the span of two months, he lost two friendships — both, he believes, over the same thing: walking in the light and being misunderstood for it. Recorded from his Brooklyn sublet with just eight days left before another move, he opens up raw about disappointment, disrespect, and the temptation to shrink yourself down after people you invested in turn on you.But this isn't a bitter episode. It's a leadership episode. Norense unpacks why your identity can't be built on your role in a friend group, why "hurt people can heal people," and why the answer to relational pain isn't isolation — it's going again, loving again, and serving again. In this episode:Why you are not disposable — even when people treat you like you areThe danger of building your identity around your role in your friend groupWhy nobody has the right to change how you see yourself based on one conflictHow the enemy uses "pattern recognition" to turn two hard experiences into a lie about your futureStanding in your convictions and having self-love — the balance between tolerance and boundariesWhy walking in the light will sometimes cost you relationships — and how to make peace with thatThe honest challenge of platonic friendships, boundaries, and being misunderstoodWhy this life is about service, not survival — and how "hurt people can heal people"A closing prayer for anyone hurting from a relationship that endedKey Truth: "Where you are is not who you are. Nobody has the right to change the way you see yourself based on a situation or a conversation."Key Verse: Proverbs 4:23 — Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.If this episode hit you:Rate and review the Mind Bully Podcast — it helps this message reach more homes and hearts, one thought at a time.New episodes every week | @mindbullypodcast | @kingno_

What if the very darkness you've been trying to escape is actually where your greatest transformation is waiting?Through the teachings of Kabbalah, we discover that our challenges are not signs that we've failed — they are opportunities to retrieve the sparks of Light we left behind. By learning how to revisit our past with compassion, recognize the lessons hidden inside our experiences, and choose a new version of ourselves, we can turn darkness into the very fuel that elevates us.This week is an invitation to stop fighting the parts of ourselves we wish we could erase — and instead uncover the gifts, growth, and divine purpose hidden within them. Because the darkness you're fighting may be the exact place where your greatest Light is waiting to be revealed.Join us for the next episode of Weekly Energy Boost with @ElishevaBalas. What You'll Learn in This Episode Why executive burnout is usually a betrayal problem, not a workload problem The difference between betrayal as destruction and betrayal as revelation How high-functioning codependency and over-giving accelerate burnout in high-achievers The origin belief driving your disordered boundaries - and how to find it The six-step L.I.S.T.E.N. Method for moving through betrayal Concrete personal and professional steps to reclaim your energy and worth Burnout Isn't a Workload Problem - It's a Betrayal Problem The exhaustion that sleep doesn't touch and a vacation only reschedules isn't about your calendar. It's about a betrayal you've been staying busy enough to avoid feeling. Somebody crossed you; a partner, a mentor, a company you bled for, a parent. Instead of grieving it, you got useful. You made yourself indispensable so you'd never be discardable again. That isn't ambition. It's a survival strategy in business casual. Key insight: Burnout in leaders is rarely about doing too much. It's about doing too much for people who wouldn't do the same for you, while some part of you knew it the whole time. Betrayal Is Not Destruction - It's Revelation Genesis 50:20 gives the whole framework. Joseph tells the brothers who sold him: "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good." He doesn't deny the harm. He names the intent, and refuses to let their intent write the final sentence. Betrayal doesn't build the crack. It reveals the crack that was already there - in the relationship, the agreement, or the story you were told about your own worth. Underneath the Scripture is the neuroscience: your nervous system logged the betrayal as a threat and went into protection - over-function, over-give, say yes when you mean no. That pattern is high-functioning codependency, and it's the number one accelerant of burnout in high-achievers. Key Takeaways Burnout that rest won't fix is often unprocessed betrayal. Betrayal reveals a pre-existing crack; it doesn't create it. Over-functioning is a survival response, not a personality trait. Healing is internal — it never requires the other person's apology. The L.I.S.T.E.N. Method works the root belief, not just the symptom Ready to Work the Root? If you can feel the origin belief but can't quite reach it alone, that's exactly the work of the Premium Strategy Hour. One focused hour: we locate the origin, name the belief, and build the boundary you've needed for years, the one that ends the over-functioning at the root. These are deliberately limited, and only a handful open each month. When they're gone, they're gone until the next window. Claim your Premium Strategy Hour → Listen deeply. Speak boldly. Do the work. What if everything that got stripped away last year was never meant to be the destination, just the entry point to your next level? Things are shifting fast right now, and we're all feeling it in the collective. In this episode, Lacy and Jessica explore the Refinement Era: the softer, more feminine energy that has followed last year's "stripped" period, and what it's asking of us now. You'll get a rare peek inside one of our members-only community calls, plus a live channeled message Lacy received in real time on "The Great Pivot." Together, they talk about why authenticity so often gets distorted by our fear of being disliked, and how owning your whole self, including the parts you'd rather hide, is the key to real magnetism. If you've been feeling more sensitive, more tender, or unsure which version of you is making decisions right now, this episode is a gentle reminder that you're not lost—you're being refined. How Do I Stop Dwelling on the Past? — Let Go of Regret, Mistakes and Negative Thoughts | 10 Minute Guided Meditation We all have it. That feeling of dread, of fear and panic, that sick sensation in our bellies. I've been there, you're there — but together we can take back control. So stay with me for ten minutes and find your moment of calm within the storm. Today is about the things you still carry from before: the regrets, the mistakes, the anchors that hold you to a past you cannot change. We settle into the almost hypnotic rhythm of the rise and fall of every breath, and then imagine that feeling of letting go as a colour — an aura of light and comfort spreading out from the chest with every exhale, cascading through every fibre of your being. You can find more of this in Anchored, the app I've just brought out. It's free, it's on iOS, and Android follows next month.
There's one reason your new habits never stick, and it has nothing to do with willpower. Peter Crone has spent decades coaching PGA Tour golfers, Major League Baseball athletes, and top executives on the subconscious wiring behind their results, and he breaks down why force can override a habit but never an identity. He explains why most relationships start as attachment and codependency instead of real love, why hatred is a wound you carry inside yourself, and why the story you keep telling about your pain is the thing keeping you stuck in it. You'll hear why the mind isn't the brain, why you can't heal from the same level of consciousness that created the problem, and why chasing certainty is the exact thing keeping you anxious. This conversation will change how you see the parts of yourself you've spent your whole life trying to fix. Sign Up For Peter's Mastermind: Website Peter on Instagram Peter on Facebook In this episode you will: Discover why willpower fails to create lasting change and what actually shifts an identity Learn the difference between force and true power, and why force always collapses on itself Uncover how childhood conditioning quietly writes the script for your adult relationships Understand why you can't heal from the same level of consciousness that created your pain Break down what's really driving your need for certainty, and why it feeds your anxiety For more information go to https://lewishowes.com/1969 More SOG episodes we think you'll love! We've all done it — the new plan, the new resolve, the "this time I mean it." So why does it never stick? In this episode, we dig into why willpower and self-discipline can't fix a body image struggle, because the real issue was never really about the body at all. In this episode best-selling author and podcast host, Heather Creekmore discusses the distinction between managing behavior and addressing the root, why trying harder can subtly become its own idol, and what practical, lasting change actually looks like when it emerges from being already loved, rather than striving to earn it. You're either in External or Embodied Self-Worth Energy. Which one are you a slut for? Let me start by saying this... The outcome I wanted never happened when I was proving. When I NEEDED the achievement to make me feel good enough & worthy. Even when I decided 'it was all working out for me.' The underlying current of 'need' and self-worth attached to the external would override every single time. And when I was in this energy...my income was

Sound Healing with David Gibson Transforming Negative Beliefs Through Sound, Resonance, and Self-Love David Gibson explores how negative beliefs influence relationships, work, money, health, self-worth, and spiritual growth, then guides listeners through affirmations, vocal-toning practices, and embodied truths designed to replace limiting patterns with love, confidence, emotional balance, and a deeper sense of personal wholeness. Sound Healing Center Resources and Programs The episode opens with an overview of the Sound Healing Center and its related organizations, including Globe Institute, the Sound Healing Store, the Sound Therapy Center, and the Sound Healing Research Foundation. The introduction describes certificate programs, sound-healing instruments, vibroacoustic tools, research papers, treatment-plan resources, educational projects, and online information for listeners interested in sound therapy and related training. How Negative Beliefs Shape Everyday Life David Gibson identifies transforming negative beliefs as the central topic of the episode. He says limiting beliefs affect relationships, employment, income, health, self-image, and the ability to love oneself and others. He attributes these beliefs to sources such as mass consciousness, culture, religion, parents, education, advertising, and personal experiences, explaining that people often carry beliefs about not being intelligent, attractive, spiritual, emotional, successful, healthy, or worthy enough. Replacing Limiting Beliefs With Believable Truths Gibson teaches that a negative belief should be replaced with an affirmation the listener can believe completely, rather than with a statement that feels exaggerated or only partially true. For example, instead of claiming to be loving at all times, he suggests affirming, “My core essence is love.” He encourages listeners to speak or tone these truths aloud so they are felt physically and emotionally, not merely understood as intellectual ideas. Self-Worth, Appearance, Emotion, and Sensitivity The teaching addresses beliefs such as being unintelligent, undeserving, unattractive, too old, too emotional, insufficiently spiritual, overly critical, or too sensitive. Gibson reframes mistakes as part of human growth, the body as a vehicle for spirit, emotional awareness as something worthy of acceptance, and sensitivity as a strength that allows people to perceive subtle energy. Throughout the segment, he leads vocal-toning practices centered on intelligence, worthiness, physical acceptance, loving discernment, and the affirmation that sensitivity can be a superpower. Belonging, Relationships, Judgment, and Abundance Gibson also explores beliefs involving not fitting in, relationship difficulties, feeling unlovable, fearing other people's opinions, being invisible, lacking patience, and not deserving financial abundance. He encourages listeners to view relationships as opportunities for learning, recognize their own value without depending entirely on outside approval, and replace competition with collaboration. His discussion of wealth emphasizes caring for oneself first and allowing resources to move through a person in ways that may benefit others. Health, Self-Healing, and the Closing Self-Love Practice The final teaching section addresses beliefs about chronic health problems, aging, limited time, declining energy, and the perceived inability to heal oneself. Gibson encourages listeners to imagine themselves healthy, send sound toward areas of the body that need attention, and affirm that they are worthy of health, wealth, harmonious relationships, and other positive experiences. The episode concludes with a music segment combining “Loving Yourself” and “Overcoming Fear,” followed by an invitation to hug oneself, say “I love you” aloud, send that loving sound toward the heart, and continue carrying the practice forward. These healing statements reflect Gibson's views and should not be treated as medical advice or established scientific conclusions.
What if your next best friend is just a ping away? In this episode, Jessica sits down with Hope and Alyssa, two TBMers who manifested a deep, lifelong friendship after moving to Amsterdam from opposite sides of the world. A heart-led list, a leap of faith, and a shared commitment to their TBM work turned a chance meeting at a playground into a soul-deep bond. They unpack what it really takes to move a friendship from first hello to true intimacy: listening to your pings even when the timing looks wrong, moving through fear of rejection, choosing authenticity over performance, and bringing the same intention to friendship that we bring to dating. If you've ever wondered whether deep, real friendship is still possible in this season of your life, this is your reminder that it absolutely is. The people you're looking for may be looking for you too. And it all starts by trusting yourself enough to show up as exactly who you are. In this debrief episode of Narcissist Apocalypse, Brandon Chadwick debriefs Spoon's survivor story and examines how grooming, learned beliefs, people pleasing, and the loss of self-trust shaped her vulnerability to abuse. Brandon discusses how Spoon's groomer became a truth teller in her world, teaching her to override her own discomfort and trust someone else's interpretation of what she was experiencing. He also explores how Spoon's “cool girl” identity taught her to minimize her needs, how people pleasing became tied to her search for self-worth, and how placing that worth in other people's hands made it easier for manipulative people to use approval, rejection, and withholding against her. The episode also looks at one of Spoon's most important lessons in recovery: slowing relationships down long enough to compare someone's words with their behavior. By giving herself time to observe patterns, Spoon began learning to trust what she saw instead of relying solely on what someone told her. *** CONTENT WARNING - This episode discusses child sexual assault. *** If you are in search of therapy from professionals dedicated to dealing with TRAUMA - Narcissist Apocalypse recommends REBOUND THERAPY and they can be reached at hellorebound.com/na Click if you want to be a guest on our survivor story podcast, please send us an email at narcissistapocalypse@pm.me Click on the title to read about Coercive Control as Care: Signs & Patterns Sign up to our Domestic Violence Newsletter Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Your business performance should not control your identity. Revenue will rise. Deals will fall apart. Markets will change. In this episode of The Level Up Podcast, Paul Alex breaks down why founders must separate their self-worth from their financial results and learn to view business outcomes as data instead of personal judgment. When your confidence rises and falls with the bank account, clear thinking becomes almost impossible. The stronger approach is to measure yourself by the quality of your execution, your discipline, and your ability to keep moving regardless of the outcome. In this episode, you'll learn: • Why tying your identity to business results creates emotional instability• How to view wins and losses as data instead of personal validation• Why focusing on daily inputs creates more sustainable confidence• How emotional detachment improves decision-making under pressure The truth is simple: You are not your revenue. You are not your losses. You are the operator. Execute the process. Study the data. Fix what is broken. Then keep building. When you detach your identity from the outcome, you gain the clarity and confidence to make stronger decisions without fear controlling the process. Your Network is your NETWORTH! What happens when the life that looks successful from the outside no longer feels like yours? For Lisa Pulliam, that realization came while standing on a beach in South Texas. She had built a successful business, led a team of more than 2,000 consultants and customers, spoken on major stages, and checked many of the boxes we're told represent success. But behind the accomplishments, Lisa was burned out.Her health was suffering. Her marriage was strained. One of her children was struggling. And somewhere in the relentless striving, performing, achieving, and showing up for everyone else, Lisa realized she had lost touch with herself. In this deeply personal episode of Casa De Confidence, Julie DeLucca-Collins sits down with Lisa for a conversation about burnout, people pleasing, midlife reinvention, motherhood, grief, social media, finding purpose, and what Lisa calls "the journey back to me."Lisa shares why she believes peace is an essential measure of success, how she began separating her worth from her accomplishments, and why sometimes the most courageous thing we can do is become quiet enough to hear ourselves again. They also explore Lisa's 30-day social media experiment, her practice of "Soul Time," morning pages, learning to surrender what we cannot control, and why the second half of life may actually become our most meaningful chapter. In This EpisodeThe moment Lisa realized her successful life wasn't working anymoreWhat burnout can look like when everything appears fine from the outsideWhy achievement and accomplishment don't necessarily create peaceHow people pleasing contributes to burnoutSeparating your identity from what you accomplishWhy Lisa deleted social media from her phone for 30 daysWhat happened when she stopped reaching for her phone every morningLisa's "Soul Time" practice for reconnecting with yourselfThe power of silence, mindfulness, nature, and morning pagesCarrying emotional "bricks" that were never yours to carryMotherhood, grief, surrender, and letting go without losing yourselfWhy feeling your emotions is part of healingRediscovering purpose in the second half of lifeWhy small moments can create enormous meaningWhat Lisa wishes she could tell her 40-year-old selfMemorable Quotes"If in the middle of that there is no peace, then I say there is no success.""You are enough just as you are.""Feeling our feelings is the beginning of healing.""Surrendering is an act of trust.""Until you breathe your last breath on this planet, there is a purpose for you."

Slow dating and fulfilling love starts with enjoying your own company. Georgianna and Steph make the case that until you can enjoy being on your own, you'll keep reaching for whoever's available to fill the silence — even when it's not a good fit. They trace how the discomfort of an empty evening sends us to the phone, the plans, the next person, and how the inner critic gets loud the moment things go quiet. From there: why you can't really like yourself if you don't know yourself, what a "battery relationship" is, and why the parts of yourself you reject show up amplified in the people you attract.Georgianna shares the six weeks she spent deliberately alone, and Steph her much slower, seven-year version. Then Georgianna walks through a simple hands-on practice for collecting evidence that your own company isn't as awful as you fear. In fact, you can even really enjoy it.What you'll learn:Why filling silence with busyness is a pattern worth noticingHow your inner voice was built, and how to rebuild a kinder oneWhy you can't really enjoy yourself until you actually know who you areWhat a "battery relationship" is, and why it drains you bothHow the traits you reject in yourself get amplified in who you attractWhy dating from a place of single and empowered changes who you say yes toA body-based practice for enjoying your own companyLearning to be content on your own is the groundwork the rest of dating is built on — which is exactly what this season is all about.Resources Mentioned:Somatic Integration Sessions — twice-monthly live body-based practiceConscious Relationship Training — 10-week live cohort, twice yearly; fall cohort doors open soon
What if the fear you're feeling isn't a sign to stop, but evidence that you're standing at the edge of something incredible? In this powerful conversation, Allison sits down with transformational speaker, bestselling author, and School of Becoming founder Tracy Litt to unpack why so many high-achieving women know they're ready for more but still struggle to make the leap. Tracy explains what actually happens in your brain and nervous system when you consider doing something unfamiliar, why what we call "lack of clarity" can sometimes be fear in disguise, and how to distinguish real danger from the discomfort that comes with growth. Together, Allison and Tracy share their own experiences leaving successful corporate careers, navigating uncertainty, betting on themselves, and learning to trust the women they were becoming. They also explore why sustainable transformation isn't about eliminating fear, but learning how to create enough internal safety to move forward anyway. Tracy also introduces her Choice Method, a four-part framework designed to help women build awareness, regulate their nervous systems, make decisions from their future identity, and create lasting change. If you've been feeling the pull toward something more but keep wondering, "What if it doesn't work?" this conversation may be exactly what you need to hear. In this episode of Million Dollar Flip Flops, Rodric sits down with Jungian-trained coach Chuck Gafvert for a deep conversation about money, self-worth, emotional intelligence, and the unconscious patterns that shape how we build businesses and live our lives.Chuck explains why money problems often aren't really about money. Instead, money can expose deeper beliefs and emotional patterns formed through childhood, family dynamics, relationships, and our need for security, approval, and significance. The conversation explores why making more money doesn't automatically make those issues disappear—and can actually amplify them. Chuck shares his own experience of becoming more arrogant after making his first million, how wealth affected his relationships, and why he eventually had to look inward. From childhood money stories and self-sabotage to anger, grief, shadow work, and the intelligence of the head, heart, and gut, this episode goes far beyond financial strategy. It's a conversation about understanding yourself well enough to build wealth without letting wealth define who you are.In This Episode, You'll LearnWhy money problems often reveal deeper emotional issuesHow childhood experiences shape your relationship with moneyWhy more money can amplify insecurity instead of eliminating itHow self-worth affects pricing, earning, and business growthWhy entrepreneurs sometimes sabotage themselves when success becomes easierHow suppressed emotions can influence business, relationships, and healthWhy money itself is neutral—and the meaning we attach to it mattersHow shadow work can uncover unconscious patternsWhy your head, heart, and gut can all provide different forms of intelligenceHow to build a healthier relationship with wealth and successHighlights & Timestamps[00:00] Money amplifies what's already thereChuck opens with the idea that money may solve financial problems, but it can amplify unresolved issues within your personality.[01:00] Meet Chuck GafvertChuck introduces his work as a Jungian-trained coach who uses money as an entry point into deeper personal transformation.[02:00] Your money problems may not be about moneyChuck explains how financial insecurity often connects to family experiences and unconscious beliefs absorbed during childhood.[03:00] What happened after Chuck made his first millionChuck shares how financial success amplified his arrogance and negatively affected his relationships.[04:00] Why rich people can still feel financially insecureRodric and Chuck discuss how comparison keeps people dissatisfied regardless of how much money they accumulate.[05:00] Self-worth, pricing, and self-sabotageRodric shares how self-worth issues show up in entrepreneurs through pricing, giving away time, and sabotaging businesses once success becomes easier.[06:00] When the body sends the billThe conversation explores how living out of alignment can eventually manifest through stress, health problems, and other consequences.[07:00] The money stories we inherit from our parentsRodric shares memories of hearing his parents argue about money, while Chuck explains how childhood associations with money can follow us into adulthood.[08:00] Grinding for approvalChuck discusses how some men unconsciously associate hard work and financial achievement with earning a father's approval or love.[09:00] Money is neutralChuck explains why money itself isn't good or bad—it's a tool onto which society projects enormous emotional meaning.[10:00] Why we resent extreme successRodric and Chuck explore why society often roots for the underdog until that person becomes “too successful.”[11:00] When old coping mechanisms stop serving youChuck explains that many unhealthy patterns originally served a useful purpose but eventually become sources of stress.[12:00] There are no bad emotionsChuck challenges the idea that anger, grief, and sadness need to be suppressed.[13:00] What's underneath the anger? The conversation explores how fully acknowledging anger can reveal deeper grief, sadness, and unresolved pain.[15:00] Head, heart, and gut intelligenceChuck explains why logical intelligence is only one piece of the puzzle and why people should learn to listen to emotional and intuitive signals too.[17:00] “I don't need therapy. I need results.”Rodric shares the story of a former coaching client who wanted business results without addressing the emotional patterns influencing the business.[18:00] What if this all feels too “woo-woo”?Chuck offers advice for people who are uncomfortable exploring emotions and inner work.[20:00] Everything is connectedChuck explains why patterns appearing in relationships often appear in business and money as well.[21:00] Who are you without your identity? The conversation goes deeper into ego, identity, and separating who you really are from your job, thoughts, emotions, and social conditioning.[23:00] Releasing controlChuck discusses having goals while accepting that life won't always unfold exactly according to plan.[24:00] Life as a mirrorRodric and Chuck explore how the behaviors that trigger us in other people may reflect rejected parts of ourselves.[27:00] The $100 money exerciseRodric shares a powerful mastermind exercise designed to uncover emotional reactions to money, competition, and comparison.[29:00] The stories we project onto wealthy peopleThe conversation explores assumptions about millionaires, billionaires, greed, and the morality people attach to wealth.[31:00] Where to find ChuckChuck shares how listeners can connect with him and experience an emotional audit around their relationship with money.[32:00] If money were a person...Chuck leaves the next guest with a powerful question: If money were a person, what would your relationship with it be?[33:00] Chuck's definition of successChuck shares how his definition of success has evolved and why the respect of his children matters more to him now than financial achievement.Notable Quotes“Money will solve our money problems, but money is an amplifier for other things in our personalities that we haven't really taken the time to resolve.” – Chuck Gafvert“If our self-worth is based on where we are in that strata, we are never gonna feel satisfied.” – Chuck Gafvert“Money is neutral.” – Chuck Gafvert“There's no such thing as a bad emotion.” – Chuck Gafvert“If you're suppressing other emotions, joy will not enter your house.” – Chuck Gafvert“You can't separate one category from another.” – Chuck Gafvert“The suffering in life comes from the fact that we think our perspective is the only one.” – Chuck Gafvert“If money were a person, what would your relationship be with it?” – Chuck GafvertConnect with Chuck Gaffert
Send us Fan MailWhat if the disrespect you experience—or the disrespect you sometimes give—has less to do with the moment and more to do with something happening underneath? In this thought-provoking episode of Self Reflection Podcast, host Lira Ndifon explores The 11 Behaviors of Disrespect by DB Bedford and takes a deeper look at what disrespect can reveal about our emotional world.Rudeness. Interrupting. Condescension. Dismissiveness. On the surface, these behaviors can seem like simple acts of poor character or bad manners. But what happens when we pause before reacting and ask a different question: What is really driving this behavior?Lira explores how behaviors such as rudeness and condescension can sometimes function as emotional defenses—ways of protecting insecurity, shame, fear of rejection, or feelings of inadequacy. Someone who appears overly confident or superior may actually be struggling with a deep fear of not being enough. That doesn't make disrespect acceptable. But understanding the root can change how we respond to it—and how we understand ourselves. The conversation goes deeper into the connection between childhood experiences, emotional wounds, societal conditioning, and the ways these experiences can shape how we communicate and relate to others. When unresolved wounds influence our behavior, we can unknowingly repeat patterns that hurt ourselves and the people around us.At the heart of this conversation is self-reflection.Instead of only asking, “Why did they treat me this way?”, we are invited to also ask:“What is this behavior revealing?”“What wound might be underneath it?”“What am I carrying that still needs healing?”Lira emphasizes the importance of developing internal validation and self-worth rather than constantly seeking confirmation from others. Real growth begins when we become willing to examine our emotional patterns, recognize our wounds, and take responsibility for the healing that follows. This episode is ultimately an invitation to look beneath the behavior—to understand without excusing, to reflect without judging, and to begin breaking patterns that no longer serve us.Because sometimes the behavior we see is only the surface. The real story is underneath.

Send us Fan MailWhat happens to a woman after betrayal when the cheating stops, the divorce is final, or the relationship ends but she still doesn't feel like herself? In this powerful conversation, I sit down with mindful intimacy coach Viv Kan to explore the hidden impact betrayal has on a woman's nervous system, confidence, sexuality, intimacy, and sense of self. We discuss why so many women feel emotionally numb after betrayal, how emotional pain gets stored in the body, and why rebuilding trust with yourself is often harder than rebuilding trust with someone else. If you've ever felt disconnected from your body, lost your confidence, struggled with intimacy, or questioned your intuition after being cheated on, this episode is for you. In This Episode We Discuss: Why betrayal affects more than your heart, it impacts your nervous system The connection between emotional safety and confidence Why many women become hyper-independent after betrayal Signs that betrayal trauma may still be living in your body How emotional numbness affects intimacy, desire, and pleasure Why many women ignore their intuition and red flags The role of mindfulness, stillness, and body awareness in healing How to begin rebuilding trust in yourself after betrayal The difference between feeling safe and simply feeling familiar Practical ways to reconnect with your body, confidence, and feminine energy Whether you're recovering from infidelity, emotional abuse, divorce, or a relationship that left you questioning yourself, this conversation offers insight, validation, and hope for your healing journey. Calming Anxiety | Finding Beauty in the Broken: A Guided Meditation for Self-AcceptanceIf you have arrived here today feeling like you are simply not enough, or if you are completely exhausted from being your own harshest critic, please take a deep breath. You are in exactly the right place. In this gentle 10-minute guided meditation, we explore the beautiful Japanese art of Kintsugi—the practice of mending broken pottery with seams of pure, liquid gold. Instead of hiding the cracks, Kintsugi celebrates them, making the mended piece far more beautiful and resilient than it ever was before.Together, we will apply this philosophy to our own lives. Your past mistakes, your regrets, and the places where life has broken you are not flaws to be hidden away. They are your seams of gold. They are exactly where your wisdom, your deep compassion, and your unique humanity live. Allow yourself to set down the heavy burden of perfection, quiet your inner critic, and take a meaningful step toward a happier life.Today's Three Daily Caring TipsTalk to yourself like someone you love: The next time you catch your inner voice turning harsh or critical, pause. Ask yourself if you would ever say those words to your closest friend. Gently adjust your tone and offer yourself the same kindness you give to others.Collect one good thing: Before you sleep tonight, look back and name just one single thing you did well today, no matter how small it might seem. Building self-worth doesn't require grand gestures; it is built steadily in the simple act of noticing.Let a mistake be a teacher, not a verdict: When something goes wrong, consciously swap the phrase "I am a failure" for "I am learning." One acts as a cage that keeps you trapped; the other is a door that opens up your future.Thank you for sharing your time and space with me today. Check out the full episode: https://greatness.lnk.to/1961DM Rob Dyrdek says mastery isn't about being good at something. It's about knowing what you actually want to master first. Most people never figure that out. They chase one thing, then another, always a little unsure if it'll deliver. He got honest about why he wanted the private jets. The exotic adventures. The massive house. Not because he needed them. Because they were tied to his identity. That's where it gets real. He explains why people who build their identity around an elevated lifestyle end up in depression and pain the moment that revenue disappears. Rob knew the same thing could happen to him. So instead of chasing the lifestyle first, he grew into it. On his own terms, at his own pace.
