Send us a textIn this chaotic return to the Daily Drop, Jared barrels through a no-holds-barred rundown of DOD chaos, diplomatic double-speak, and the ongoing clown show in space. The Pentagon's trying to win hearts and minds in Somalia with airstrikes, Space Force is low-key getting circled by Russian sats, and we're hoping AI can save Indopaycom's wargames. Spoiler: it won't.Jared dives into all of it — including the Thunderbirds doc that actually slapped (yes, really), privatized base hotels, and a new Kunsan commander who's literally cleaning up her husband's mess. There's also a raw take on the mental health industrial complex and why adding more psychologists might not fix what's broken.Unfiltered. Unscripted. Possibly unhinged. Stephen Davis, founder of Nikki Wearable, shares the deeply personal journey that led to creating this groundbreaking device—a 12-year battle to find answers for his daughter's mysterious illness that was eventually diagnosed as Lyme disease. When conventional treatments failed his family, Davis discovered the power of frequencies delivered through light. The Nikki wearable emerged as a wellness solution that uses specific light-emitted frequencies to communicate with cells throughout the body, essentially awakening the immune system to issues it's been ignoring. The results have been transformative, not just for Lyme patients but for people struggling with sleep issues, chronic pain, fatigue, stress, and more. The science behind Nikki challenges our traditional understanding of healing. As Davis explains, frequencies aren't new to medicine—they're embedded in everything from supplements to homeopathic remedies. What's revolutionary is the delivery method and precision. By capturing and digitizing frequencies from 74 different plants and delivering them through light, Nikki provides cells with information they need without introducing any substances into the body. The technology works by helping achieve homeostasis, activating the vagus nerve, and supporting the body's natural healing processes during parasympathetic states.Perhaps most compelling is the versatility of frequency therapy. The device offers programs for various wellness concerns, with more customization options on the horizon. Send us a texthttps://www.pastorbencooper.co.uk/In this powerful episode of Reverend Ben Cooper, we dive into the extraordinary privilege of worship and how it shapes our relationship with God. Through Romans 9, we explore how worship is not a burden but a gift that transforms us. Additionally, we hear a compelling testimony from a Messianic Jew who encountered Jesus in the very scriptures he once thought he knew, revealing the life-changing power of God's Word.Key Discussion Points:The Gift of Worship: In Romans 9, we see that God “gave them the privilege of worshipping Him.” Worship is a divine gift that allows us to draw closer to God and experience His presence in profound ways. This perspective shifts our view from seeing worship as an obligation to recognizing it as a transformative experience that deepens our faith journey. Worship is not a task but an invitation to be in intimate communion with the Creator.Unshakeable Assurance in God's Love: Romans 8:38-39 reminds us of an unshakable truth: “Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons... can separate us from God's love.” This scripture is a beacon of hope, especially for those struggling with anxiety, depression, and mental health challenges. When faced with these battles, it's important to understand that they don't mean God has abandoned us. Instead, these struggles can become the sacred ground where His presence is most deeply felt. God's love remains constant and unwavering, offering peace and hope even in our darkest moments.Jesus as the Good Shepherd: Jesus' role as the Good Shepherd (John 10:11) gives us an image of sacrificial love. Unlike hired hands who flee in the face of danger, Jesus positions Himself as the gate to protect His flock. This sacrificial love was most profoundly demonstrated on the cross, where He fulfilled Isaiah 53:5, “He was pierced for our transgressions.” This beautiful imagery shows us that Jesus is always with us, even in the most difficult seasons of life, offering protection, guidance, and peace. The Power of the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit plays a crucial role in empowering believers to live out their faith. The baptism of the Holy Spirit equips us with spiritual gifts that not only build up the Church but also extend God's kingdom on earth. These gifts—when exercised with love—become powerful tools for healing, transformation, and bringing light into a broken world. The Holy Spirit is not just a promise for the past; He is active today, enabling us to live out God's purposes.Walking in Peace Amidst Life's Challenges: Life can be challenging, but God's peace transcends all understanding. Embracing His promises allows believers to walk through difficulties with unshakable hope and confidence. This peace is a powerful testimony of God's presence in our lives, helping us find stability and joy even amid struggles. By focusing on His faithfulness, we can experience His peace, which guards our hearts and minds. Conclusion: This episode is filled with encouragement and practical wisdom for those facing personal struggles, seeking deeper spiritual experiences, or desiring a closer relationship with God. The insights shared remind us that God's love is unfailing and that His presence in our lives is a source of profound peace and transformation. Whether you are experiencing joy or walking through pain, this episode will help you understand the depth of God's love and how to embrace His promises fully.Call to Action: Join Reverend Ben Cooper as we explore the depths of wSupport the showhttps://www.pastorbencooper.co.uk/

Perfect Love Conquers Fear (#1036 - Elim)

Send us a texthttps://www.pastorbencooper.co.uk/Have you ever felt like you don't quite belong? That discomfort isn't accidental—it's meaningful. In this powerful episode, Pastor Ben Cooper unpacks the life-changing truth from 1 John 4:18: “Perfect love drives out fear.” This message offers listeners the opportunity to find freedom from fear, anxiety, and insecurity. As we explore God's transformative love, we will learn how it can overcome our fears and reveal our true identity in Christ. This episode is especially relevant for believers around the world navigating a fast-paced, pressure-filled world.Key Discussion Points:Fear and the Christian Experience—A Universal Struggle: One common misconception in the Christian community is that believers should never experience fear. Yet, even Jesus faced moments of intense fear, particularly in Matthew 26:38-39, when He prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane: “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death.” Jesus' vulnerability in moments of distress shows that fear is a natural part of the human experience. Pastor Ben reassures us that experiencing fear doesn't mean a lack of faith. Instead, it's an opportunity to experience God's perfect love, which is the antidote to fear. The Lifelong Journey Toward Perfect Love: Pastor Ben emphasizes that experiencing God's perfect love is not instantaneous but a lifelong journey. As we grow in our relationship with Christ, His love gradually transforms us from the inside out. The more we surrender our hearts to Him, the more fear and anxiety are replaced with peace. This message is essential for Christians around the world who are seeking spiritual growth and transformation. God's perfect love is a gift, and embracing it over time helps us break free from fear's grip.Breaking Free from the World's Labels and Expectations: Society's labels—whether tied to success, appearance, or social status—often dictate our sense of worth. Pastor Ben challenges us to reject these pressures, citing Romans 12:2: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” In a world constantly defining who we should be, the discomfort we feel when we don't fit in is a sign that we are meant to be shaped by God's love, not worldly standards. As Christians, we find our identity not in labels, but in Christ, who calls us His children.Discovering Your True Identity in Christ: Pastor Ben urges us to find our true identity in Christ, rather than in the fleeting labels society places on us. While the world tells us who we should be, God has already defined us as His beloved children. Embracing our identity in Christ frees us from fear and empowers us to live out our purpose. This truth resonates globally, as people from diverse backgrounds face societal expectations that often conflict with their God-given identity.Living in Peace in a Fear-Filled World: Pastor Ben reminds us that God's perfect love offers a peace that transcends understanding, especially in a world marked by fear and uncertainty. Philippians 4:7 speaks of this peace, saying, “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” This peace is available to all believers, regardless of life's challenges. Embracing God's peace means walking confidently in His love. As we live in peace, we become a testimony to the world of God's love and ability to overcome fear. Conclusion: Whether you're struggling wSupport the showhttps://www.pastorbencooper.co.uk/

In this episode, Ryan and Becca tackle a range of listener questions, offering valuable insights for potters with varied years of experience. They start by sharing their experience with mystery boxes—how many pieces to include, what types of pottery work well, and why they're such a hit with customers. The discussion then shifts to kiln firing programs, where they weigh in on their preferred settings and how switching from default programs can elevate your work. A thoughtful question about the heat retention of glazed versus unglazed mugs sparks a conversation on the factors that influence functionality, from material to shape and thickness. To wrap up, they offer practical advice for managing inventory after shows and preparing for multi-day events, ensuring your booth and work stay in top shape.Resourceshttps://www.mightysink.com/https://manychat.com/Etsy's Creativity Standards related to "mystery boxes"Listener QuestionsOn this episode:- I wondered if you could give more insight into mystery boxes. How many pieces do you put in them? What kinds of pieces? How much do you sell them for? And what's the lure for the customer? I'm thinking of including a few in an upcoming show and wanted to see if you had any guidance. I know they're a success for Ryan. Thank you as always for anything you can offer! @thepotterymason- I was wondering if you guys have ever done an episode on kiln firing programs? I use the default on my L&L kiln (which I LOVE, btw), but I'm thinking of moving to a different one and would love to hear what you and Becca do. Cheers

Have any questions, insights, or feedback? Send me a text!Length: 1 hour 32 minutesSynopsis: This evening (7/3/24), in our Stoic Jew Shiur, we attempted to do an orderly review of what we covered last time, but instead, we slipped right into a fresh analysis of some of the most fundamental questions in ethics: What do we mean by good and bad? We debated whether and to what extent Marcus Aurelius's answer to this question overlaps with our understanding of the Torah's stance. We became so involved in this debate that we didn't even get to the part of the chapter that I thought we'd spend the bulk of our time discussing! Needless to say, we didn't resolve any of the fundamental issues of ethics we raised, but as I mentioned at the very end of shiur, THIS is what a philosophy shiur ought to be about - the exploration of these very questions, regardless of whether we arrive at definite answers.-----מקורות:Aurelius - Meditations 2:1 (trans. Women of the World's Religions Interview Series from the first-ever Women's Village at the Parliament of the World's Religions Short Interviews Served Up Weekly I was honored to be a part of a special project for the Parliament of the World's Religions Women's Task Force: conducting interviews inside the first-ever Women's Village. The invitation put forth at the Interview Suite was: Let Your Voice be Heard! In total, I interviewed 71 women, and I will share all of them. Each interview packs a powerful dose of inspiration in a few short minutes. I was truly fortunate to sit with women as they spoke so profoundly from their hearts about their love-in-action toward the Parliament's themes of: a call to conscience, the support of the human rights and dignity of women, and the care of the next generations of children (which, of course includes care of our earth).  ••• This episode features Hanna Yaffe.  Hanna Yaffe was born in London to a Rabbinic family. She has lived in Plymouth (UK) and Sunderland, studied in Gateshead, lived in Johannesburg, South Africa during the height of apartheid, an experience which shaped her into a humanist and spiritual activist by the age of 19. She moved to Jerusalem in 1975, where she is deeply involved with arts and culture as a means to Peacework.Hanna has frequently shared forums with Muslim and Christian storyteller, touring around the UK on the "Spirit Of Peace Tour" with Sheik Hassan Manasra and she is the Jerusalem Coordinator of Spirit of Peace UK based charity. She is an active member of Shira Hadasha, a Feminist Orthodox Synagogue. She regularly leads prayers there and for women's groups around the country. She defines herself as an unorthodox orthodox Rabbinic Jew(ess) Hanna has produced three CD's:"Birth in a Time of Bloodshed", a collection of lullabies from around the world written in time of war, exile and slavery."Lullabies from Jerusalem" a collection of folk lullabies sung by artists who belong to different faiths.  The disc was acclaimed by Martha Stewart as "Lullaby CD of the Year 2000"."Return Again" is an anthology of Hassidic stories and melodies. •••This series of interviews gives me a sense of peace and reassurance. The women are activated, and their love cannot be stopped. And I believe that you will find, as I did, that listening to women speak from their fierce hearts, empowers us as women to find our own voices and to take action from our hearts as well. Find your place among these women… You can participate in Brecia's Women's Woven Voices project. Please Subscribe and help me to share these women! With love, Dale YouTubehttps://m.youtube.com/@daleallen-womenoftheworld Podcast https://daleallenpodcast.buzzsprout.com Websiteshttps://www.daleallen.nethttps://www.inourrightminds.net “Woman Shine” song by Dale Allen on all music platformshttps://youtu.be/-nsvL9JjMc4  Hanna Yaffehttps://www.lullabies-of-loss.org/aboutwww.spiritofpeace.co.uk    YouTubehttps://m.youtube.com/@daleallen-womenoftheworld Podcasthttps://daleallenpodcast.buzzsprout.com WSupport the show

Welcome back to the podcast! Braedy Mac thrilled to have you here. Currently, he's enjoying the tranquility of his new home in Byron Bay, Australia, which is pretty much a dream come true. This place has everything he could wish for – a sauna, a cold plunge, a hot tub, plenty of space, and blissful silence away from the hustle and bustle. This experience has made him appreciate the importance of nervous system regulation in relationships. His connection with animals, like Cuca, teaches us valuable lessons in down-regulating our own nervous systems, creating comfort, and fostering deeper connections. The way we relate to animals and humans may be different, but we share similar nervous systems, with fight-or-flight responses and relaxation mechanisms. Before diving into today's topic, let's reflect on the significance of understanding nervous system regulation in our relationships.Nervous system regulation is a fundamental aspect of relationships, and it's a crucial focus in programs like Infant Waiting or ERC (Embodied Relationship Counsel). When we aim to connect with someone on a deep level, it's essential to start by understanding their nervous system. Identifying triggers, addressing trauma, and creating safety are key steps. Then, we delve into their emotional world and finally, their soul, revealing something profound and transcendent. Now, let's dive into a topic that has impacted his life significantly from a young age and continues to do so – alcohol. Alcohol is a complex and normalized substance in our culture. It's legal, socially acceptable, and often associated with celebration and relaxation. Braedy's personal journey with alcohol began in a party setting – the typical way many of us start. Growing up in Canada, he played competitive ice hockey, and it became a tradition to celebrate wins and losses with a few drinks. Alcohol seemed like a great tool for socializing, connecting with friends, and letting loose. The decision to be completely sober has opened up incredible opportunities for me. It has brought me clarity, grit, and a deeper trust in myself. The journey hasn't been without its challenges – there were subconscious reflexes and habits related to alcohol that I had to confront and rewire. But the rewards have been worth it, and I'm now on a path to discovering my full potential without the influence of alcohol.Thank you for joining me in this beautiful new home, and if you found this conversation valuable, share it with a friend or leave a review. Your support means the world. Stay tuned for more insightful discussions on how we relate to all aspects of life.Time Stamps:Nervous system regulation and connection with nature. More than just simple goal setting or repeated affirmations, manifesting self-esteem in your life is a surefire way to amp up your personal and work life, so you can begin living the next-level life you're dreaming of. While it is a relatively simple process, it is nevertheless something many people fail to do in their lives. Essentially, manifesting something is approaching it with extreme intentionality and specificity. While it is a relatively simple process, it is nevertheless something many people fail to do in their lives. Essentially, manifesting something is approaching it with extreme intentionality and specificity. Rather than being vague with what you want, you focus intently on it, and go to great lengths to describe to yourself what it would look like and feel like to achieve it. Your level of confidence and self-esteem has tremendous impact on your ability to perform at work and to be successful in the entirety of your life. Being able to intentionally boost your confidence and tangibly improve your overall self-esteem is key for a happier and a more driven life. There are many reasons why people push off the process of manifestation, but truly successful individuals have figured out how to harness the power of confidence and use it to their advantage every day. Are you curious how to get your self-esteem rising? Er worden twee wSupport the show

Sie will dazugehören. Hi lovely Foggers and Fogglets,We're back and ready to share what's been happening while we've been away. It's been a tough ol' time for us both lately so we chose to step back a little to rest and regroup. That got us thinking about how we go about things and how we treat ourselves. When we speak to you lovely gals, you tell us that, like us, you often feel you just have to 'get on with it', 'battle on', 'push through'. Well maybe it's time to change all that. We're not at war with anyone, even ourselves, so let's stop acting like warriors.  It's not how it's meant to be, especially at this stage of our lives. It's time to be honest with ourselves and others about it too. Let's stop making excuses and just be honest about what we feel, what we're capable of and even what we want. So, our words for the year are ACCEPTANCE and HONESTY. What do you think? Can we embrace them? It'll be so liberating and freeing if we can. Our mood isn't helped by winter of course. First comes festive chaos followed by new year pressures! Isn't it madness that we start the new year in the middle of winter? It's not how it's meant to be. Celtic new year, what our ancestors would have lived by, begins on 1 February. It's called Imbolc. It's when new growth, birth and the return of the light/sun is celebrated. Spring doesn't start officially until 21 March. In winter, we're meant to, well, ‘winter'. Rest, heal and feed ourselves, nutritionally and emotionally. That doesn't mean doing nothing, it just means slowing down, and making a decision not to join the race, the rat race. Set your own pace.We share lots more around all this in this episode, as well as talking about... • Mille Fois of crap• Inherited ‘get on with it' strategies• Young people ‘work to live', unlike what we were taught• Putting off the important things and people• Depression in menopause – is it menopause or stage of life? Both? It's a     rollercoaster.• If we're the ones who usually lift others up and care for them, is it hard to admit you    can't do that anymore?• Winter blues – SAD• Michele's dry eye, sore eyelid solution and lack of diagnosis - update• Gratitude practice - Michele's routineWe've packed a lot into a short episode this time lovelies. We'd love to hear what you think. Don't forget, you can always email us or come over and join us in our private Facebook group. Read along to practice your English and to learn the English phrases C'EST LA VIE and DÉJÁ VUIn this English lesson, I wanted to help you learn the English phrase c'est la vie or is this actually a French phrase? By the way, there are French phrases that we use in everyday English and c'est la vie is one of them, and it means, that's life. Sometimes you have a situation where something goes a certain way and there's no real way to explain it. So in an English conversation you would just shrug and say, "Well, c'est la vie." And basically what we're saying is, "That's life." Life has its ups and downs. Sometimes good things happen, sometimes bad things happen. Sometimes it's hard to understand why those things happen and then we just say, c'est la vie.WANT FREE ENGLISH LESSONS? GO TO YOUTUBE AND SEARCH, "BOB THE CANADIAN"If you enjoy these lessons please consider supporting me at: http://www.patreon.com/bobthecanadianBy the way, there's another French term we use and that's deja vu. In English, people often forget to put the accents on it, by the way, but deja vu is a situation where you feel like you're experiencing something that happened before. In English, you would say, "Oh, I just had deja vu. I felt like I've already done this." Maybe you're reading a news story, and you feel like you've read the story before or maybe you just have a weird moment in your day where you think, "I think I've already done this." In that situation, you would say you're experiencing deja vu. By the way, in French, this actually is the past participle of the verb voir, and this means already so it kind of roughly translates as already seen.Anyways, enough of the French lesson. To review, in an English conversation, you may use this phrase, c'est la vie. You can also say that's life. Either one will work and people will understand what you're saying. You just say, "Hmm, c'est la vie." Or, "Oh, that's life." And if you experience deja vu, it means you have had a situation in life where you feel like you've already lived that moment that it's already happened to you. It can be very, very strange to experience deja vu.But hey, let's look at a comment from a previous video. This comment is from Ruslan. Thank you for the lesson, dear teacher Bob. I love that nice, quiet neighborhood you were walking around in this video. Everybody has such a small fence around their houses so I guess house robbery does not happen in this area. And my response, it does happen, but not too often. It is a very peaceful neighborhood. So thanks Ruslan for that comment. Let's talk a little bit about crime in Canada. We do have crime. Houses do get robbed. We are like every other country in the world. We try our best to keep our crime rate down, but there are still bad people and things still do happen. So yes, people do have their house houses robbed from time to time. We don't tend to have a lot of fences, but a lot of houses have security alarms or alarm systems and we probably in smaller towns have a very low crime rate. It's probably more of a worry in the bigger cities like Toronto or Edmonton or Calgary. So yes, we do have crime. It's even sometimes dangerous out in the countryside where I live, although people steal different things when they're out there. People tend to steal things like snowmobiles and four wheelers and farm equipment. So yes, there is crime. We do our best to stop it.Hey, I'm out here at our local soccer fields because as I understand it, the WSupport the show

AccessibilityFrom the beginning we have believed that the Village should be a place where anyone can come and be accepted. We have fought hard against our own prejudices and lies so that we can be doorways into the kingdom of God. We resist our exclusionary ways in order to allow people to find God at their own pace and in their own way. We seek to understand the perspective of others and to love them as they are. We find that Jesus was willing to be associated with those whom society thought were outcasts as well as religious and government leaders and we seek to emulate Jesus as we engage the people he places in our path. We hope to place no stumbling block between Jesus and the people we meet except for the gospel itself.AuthenticityWe believe that walking the narrow way Jesus calls us to is difficult, and we attempt to be honest about the struggle. We want our community to be unafraid to confess sin and failure, and we want to be sure that people count the cost as they begin their walk with Jesus. CommunityForemost among our values is that we are called to be the body of Christ and to live in community with each other. We recognize that being together is hard and that it takes work and sacrifice to be able to truly love and serve each other. We often throw parties and share meals in our homes as a way to offer the gifts of love and hospitality to others. CreativityAt the Village we believe that people are made in the image of a creative God and that because this is true, we also create. Calling people to be creative in the way God has uniquely fashioned them is a huge part of our being in community. We call on people to attempt to draw, paint, photograph, sculpt, write poetry and computer programs, create music, write lyrics, cook, bake, garden, renovate buildings, and engage in other creative endeavors and then share the products of that creativity with the community. We choose to use worship songs that are created in our own community or in other nearby communities where we find relationships. We display the creativity of our community as part of our offering to God. We sponsor art shows, music concerts, and other places to proffer the things we have created to the Village community and to the broader community. The DisciplinesWe believe that the path to freedom, healing, and joy is found in the disciplines of prayer, reading God's Word, meditating, fasting, and self-denial, as well as in other spiritual disciplines. We have invited people into times of solitude and reflection and try to keep the practice of the disciplines part of our own routines. The elders regularly pray over and anoint people with oil for the purpose of bringing healing and hope. Some have invited people into their homes for a season in order to help them grow more disciplined lives in the area of resisting addictive behaviors or handling their financial affairs. TruthWe believe in truth. We also believe that the evil one distorts the truth and invites us to believe lies. We make it our passion to speak the truth in love to each other, that is, to speak the truth to each other as we grieve the losses and the struggles of being called to deal with lies we have chosen to believe. We believe the Bible is true and that it is a primary place where God speaks truth to us. We also believe that God speaks truth to us in our community and through the still, small voice of his Spirit. We try to speak truth to the cultural lies of the Tucson community as well as offering the way, the truth, and the life of Jesus to those who need desperately to hear the simple, painful beauty of truth. We attempt to speak the truth without harsh judgment and condemnation, but wSupport the show

Read along to practice your English and to learn the English phrases IT DOESN'T HURT TO and THE TRUTH HURTSIn this English lesson, I wanted to help you learn the English phrase, "It doesn't hurt to." This is a phrase we say when we're recommending that someone does something that will actually benefit them. If you're studying for an English test, it doesn't hurt to study every day for weeks on end. So even though I'm using the word hurt, which normally means something painful, I'm actually recommending you do something that's good for you. So if you're learning English, it doesn't hurt to write down the new words that you learn. When you come outside at night, like this at this time of year, it doesn't hurt to wear a little bit of mosquito spray. They're starting to bite my ankles a little bit. So it doesn't hurt if you wear some mosquito spray. The same with when you go out in the sun, if you burn easily, it doesn't hurt to wear a bit of sunscreen.WANT FREE ENGLISH LESSONS? GO TO YOUTUBE AND SEARCH, "BOB THE CANADIAN"If you enjoy these lessons please consider supporting me at: http://www.patreon.com/bobthecanadianThe other phrase I wanted to teach you today is the phrase, "The truth hurts." This is something we say in English when, you know, when you tell someone something that's true and it makes them sad, or it makes them upset, we're kind of like, you know, the truth hurts. Sometimes people will tell you the truth because they care about you. Let's say you're not eating healthy and you're not exercising, and you're gaining a lot of weight, and maybe your mom or a relative tells you that you really need to take care of yourself, that might offend you a little bit. You might be like, "I can't believe they told me that I'm overweight, or they told me that I'm not healthy," but we might say, "You know what? Sometimes the truth hurts." When you go to the doctor and the doctor says, you need to exercise more, even if you don't like the advice and it makes you sad or upset, the reality is the truth hurts. So to review, when you say it doesn't hurt to, you're actually recommending people do something. And like I said, it doesn't hurt to write down a few words or phrases that you learned today. And when you say the truth hurts, you're simply saying that sometimes when someone tells you something that's true, it doesn't always make you happy, but it's still the truth.Hey, let's look at a comment from a previous video. This comment is from Ruslan. I can't get this in my pocket. I'm actually wearing shorts right now. I don't know if you guys have ever seen me in shorts. Ruslan says, "What beautiful peonies, Teacher Bob. My Granny used to grow them in her summer garden once. The bush was very big and the stems were long. I like these flowers very much." And my response was, I love them. Not only are they beautiful, they smell great too. It doesn't hurt that people like to buy them as well.So a kind of a funny thing. Thanks, Ruslan, for that comment. So kind of a funny thing happened when I was replying to Ruslan's comment. I'm not sure if he saw me correct it, but as I was typing Ruslan's comment, Jen came in the room and she said the downstairs toilet was running through. When a toilet runs through, that means the water keeps running after you flush it. And I said, oh, that's strange. That normally doesn't happened to that toilet. But I had my text to speech going as I said that. And that ended up in the original comment I left for Ruslan. So, Ruslan, if you saw the first comment before I edited it, that's why I was talking about a toilet running through. And for those of you that don't understand what I was just saying, when you flush a toilet, the water sometimes doesn't stop running and you have to jiggle the handle a little bit and then the wSupport the show

[[:encoded, "Business professionals like you know that goal setting is vital. But sometimes, the process may feel overwhelming, or perhaps it just hasn't worked well for you in the past. Have no fear. You will find the eight helpful tips I'm sharing with you to help you meet your goals. These go beyond the basics of goal setting, like brainstorming, writing your goals down, and creating an action plan. So, let's go!nn1.tPrioritize listening. For any business professional to meet their goals, they must possess a crucial soft skill: open-mindedness. This term means you can take in information that might challenge your beliefs. You're able to ask questions and allow others to express their opinions, even if you disagree. Closed-minded people only care about their own viewpoints, and typically, they don't give any consideration to other ideas. Without open-mindedness as a leader, you likely will not reach your goals, so listen, remain open-minded, and model trust and cooperation.nn2.tUse strategic thinking. Sadly, failing to consider issues from a different perspective is common—plus limiting and short-sighted. Strategic thinking, though, means you can analyze critical factors that affect long-term success. To improve this skill, consider the big picture and planning ahead. Then, you're able to view your options and make more intentional decisions. Strategic thinking helps put your thoughts into action, allowing you to meet those goals.nnApplying strategic thinking practices to your business will accelerate your success by allowing a crystal-clear focus to drive daily tasks - for you and your team. To download my complimentary copy of a strategic thinking model, go to https://www.accountabilitycoach.com/strategic-thinking-model/. nn3.tCommunicate confidence. Think of confidence as an aura that accompanies you everywhere. Confidence causes people to notice when you enter a room. You turn their heads because your demeanor communicates poise and dignity. And by being self-assured, your team has a reason to look up to you. Then, they're more inspired to work, creating a productive and trusting atmosphere that leads to high achievement. nn4.tGuide your team like a coach. You may have had a favorite coach growing up. They likely guided and encouraged you rather than just barking blunt or unhelpful directions. With a coaching mindset, you're able to communicate that you respect your employees, believe in their ability to grow, and value their contributions and actions. When correction is necessary, you help them succeed rather than making them feel bad. Effectively guiding your employees has a lot to do with your prosperity as a business owner—and it can move you in the direction of your goals.nn5.tImplement proper time management. Wasted time is gone forever, and it's one thing we can't purchase or get more of! With this in mind, don't spend time on tasks that won't matter a year from now. Instead, learn to say no, budget your time, delegate, and—you guessed it—set goals. Since goals are action-based, meeting them requires proper time management. Strive to do less in a more effective manner.nnDid you know that some of the most productive people in the world swear by time blocking? Ever heard of Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Michael Hyatt, or Cal Newport? Yep – all time-blockers. They're squeezing every drop of productivity from their days, and you can do the same.nn6.tChoose what's right over what's popular. It's never easy being in charge. We've all heard the saying: “To whom much is given, much is required.” There will be times when doing the right thing is unpopular. You'll nearly always have someone who opposes your decisions. Though it might sting a little, remember that leading isn't a popularity contest. To reach your goals, you'll have to do what's right sometimes, no matter what others think or wSupport the show

[[:encoded, "Life is in continual motion. There seems to be a blur between life and work and that is especially true for an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurs, it seems, have a harder time separating work and life and home; they feel they need to be always available and always in “client search mode” as well as running the business. nnAre there secrets to attaining a work life balance? They aren't exactly secrets, but sometimes in the hustle and bustle of life, we forget to breath and we allow our work and lifelines to coincide. Now is the time to take a step back and untangle those lines and get back to a better balance. nnIt is important to find a balance that makes both life and work fulfilling and enjoyable. If you don't, you risk burnout in both areas of your life. Keep in mind that you won't likely notice a large sign that lets you know your life and work are out of balance. The imbalance usually happens slowly and subtly, until you get to the point where you're not functioning well in either aspect of your life. nnLet's explore five ways I've learned that will help you attain a more balanced work and life. nn1.tYou need to have boundaries. Even if you work from a home office you need to set office hours – this is for your clients and your family. Clients need to appreciate that you're not on call 24-hours a day. Family needs to understand that between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm you're working and shouldn't be disturbed. These boundaries need to apply to your technology as well. Even if you've closed the literal door on your office, if you have your smart phone continually within reach, you will be distracted and tempted to check social media and emails and your work may again bleed into your home and family life. nn2.tJust let it go. Being a perfectionist and trying to be everything to everyone is a recipe for disaster and burn out. If you're feeling stressed in your personal life, you need to delve deeper into what those stressors are. The same goes for your work life; what is adding to your stress? Once you know what your stressors are, you can take steps to find those items you can simply let go of. Are there items that simply do not matter in the big picture? If so, cut them loose. The more items you can let go of (and that may mean delegating work or home tasks to others) the more balanced your life will be. nn3.tWhat are your priorities? Just as important as knowing what your priorities are is knowing why they are important. Before you leave your office, or go to bed at night, take a few moments to plan your following day. Look back at what you've accomplished today and assess its impact on your work and your life. How did you spend your time? Did you spend it wisely? Were there parts of your day that lifted you up and made you smile and parts that had you shaking your head and wondering what went wrong? When you prioritize, then analyze how your priorities were met, you can better see if your day was productive and effective or if you squandered time on tasks that didn't forward your dream of a work life balance. nn4.tYou need down time. Schedule time for yourself. If you're not practicing personal care you cannot be the best version of yourself for your family or your clients. Grab time in your calendar just for you – whether you go to a spa, meditate during lunch, walk the dog, or go for coffee with a friend – you need that time in which you have no demands on your energies. nn5.t“No” is powerful and is your friend! Learn to say “no” to work and life events that you simply don't want to do, don't have time to do, or that won't forward your life or career goals. You don't have to be mean about the “no.” You can say, “Thank you, but no. I just don't have the time or bandwidth for this right now.” nnEveryone has demands on life and work that compete with and overlap one another. The wSupport the show

So, I did the scary and brave thing, Y'all. I asked Kelli Tennant to be on my podcast and she said YES!  Yes, this is the same Kelli Tennant who was a college athlete and famous sports reporter who covered the Lakers and Dodgers. Yes, THE Kelli Tennant of “The Kelli Show” and the “Yes, Babe” podcast. Yes. The Kelli of the IG Pleasure Channel with 31.5K followers. Yes. The one with all the sexy, half-naked photos that make you drool. Yes. Kelli Tennant who is an Intuitive Facilitator, Reiki and Hypnosis Practitioner, Women's Circle Facilitator, and plant medicine advocate! Good. I am glad we got that all out of the way because all I care about is the WOMAN and the SOUL that is Kelli Tennant. I honor the woman who broke free from a lineage of toxicity and found her voice and power. I adore the woman who challenges social norms and encourages other women to create their own narrative from their evolving truth. I celebrate the woman who moved from the grief of losing her mom, dad, and puppy and slowly made her way back to self-worshipping. I want to highlight the woman who is courageous and vulnerable in sharing her stories of facing her deepest fears and accessing her deepest pleasures.  And, yes, I HAD to ask Kelli about THREESOMES and how they actually work. You're welcome.  Actually, I had a lot of questions. Here's some that were answered in this episode: Can you be a “good wife” if you want to explore sex with other people? How do you find a third, a “unicorn”, anyhow? Bumble, you say? Can your friend be your third and would that “ruin” your friendship? Can you be monogamous AND have a threesome? Is that monogamish? Does it matter if I don't know how to identify? Who do labels help anyhow? Do you have the capacity to hold space for our fears of abandonment, grief, and sexual pleasure in the same breath? Hint: yes. Is it possible to let go of control and simply enjoy life? How can you surrender to asking for and receiving pleasure? How do I practice self-worship? What about jealousy? What about our fear of abandonment? How do you set boundaries? How do you stick to the boundaries you set? What if you want to change your mind? What do you do if you are stuck in a pattern of chronic pain and illness and don't feel sexy? What if you keep losing people and pets and the grief makes it hard to access pleasure? Is it normal that I always think something must be wrong because something often goes wrong, so when I can't find anything wrong, I freak out as if there is something wrong and then I freak out because I always look for something to go wrong instead of just enjoying a single fucking moment? LOL.This is exactly how Kelli and I conversed and laughed together. It was a blast. Just lock the door, get naked, throw the rubber duckies aside, hop in the bathtub, and listen. Kelli herself said “Let Pleasure be the Measure” is “an Important podcast that is fucking changing people's lives”. To be in your Element you have to love it: if you do, you'll never 'work' again."I can think of no better real-life example of this than through the passion and work of my recent guest Danielle Vuke, Event Coordinator of World Orphans.  Danielle says, "I think the most fascinating thing about a person is their story. I love the fact that God is continuously writing our stories through adventure, pain, discovery, relationships, and awareness." Walk with us as she takes us on  her powerful journey from being bullied as a young child; leaning into her faith to push through it;  the guidance and support she received from her dad encouraging her to always "keep her heart soft for the Lord"; the empathy and forgiveness she developed as a result  and the resilience she gained from staying true to her faith and pushing through to the other side.   While seemingly having it all in a fast -paced professional career, Danielle knew something was still missing.   Learn how two chance encounter opportunities with World Orphans brought her to the beautiful crossroad in life where her talents of photojournalism met up with her passion and love for children.   It was there at the crossroad she was able to find her life's true purpose through partnering with World Orphans. And she's never looked back. For information on World Orphans visit https://www.worldorphans.orgFor the Storymakers Conference follow them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/events/elston-family-church/story-maker-conference-world-orphans/2798073490516495 and on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/story.maker.conferenceDanielle can be reached via e-mail at danielle@worldorphans.org.See you on the path!Thank you to our Sponsor, Hardenbergh Insurance Group.  Visit their website at https://www.hig.net or reach out to them in the Delaware Valley at 856.489.9100.  They also operate in 42 states across the country. Finally, as Founder of Empower Kids, LLC, I love showcasing young talent.  I want to thank and recognize our musicians that take care of the musical Podcast Intro and Exit music.  Liam Graham is the guitarist, and Anna Yannessa, is a junior vocal major at the University of Missouri who plans on continuing studying voice performance at the graduate level.  She can be reached on Instagram @annyannessa19, on Twitter at @annayannessa and on FB at Anna Yannessa. For more information about my heart and mission visit me on social media: Facebook https://www.facebook.com/lisa.ozalisgraham and https://www.facebook.com/EmpowerKidsLLCTwitter https://twitter.com/EmpowerKidsLLCLinked In  https://twitter.com/EmpowerKidsLLCInstagram https://wSupport the show (https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=Q8MFJJ34TPC6E)

School of Self Made So what is the School of Self Made? It's not the traditional business education. Not even close. The School of Self Made was created so I could impact as many lives as possible while teaching people how to make a full time income or more from the comfort of their own home.  You never hear anyone telling you as you grow up that you DON'T need to go to college to make a living. For your whole life you're taught to go to school, work hard, and get a good job. Well, I'm here to tell you otherwise.I went to college. I have a bachelors degree. But had a I known then what I know now, I would have never stepped foot on that campus racking up student loan debt and pretending to know what I wanted to do with the rest of my life.  Instead I would have created my own brand and been my own boss.  I've had dozens of terrible jobs throughout my life time. I've even had some really great ones like owning several bars and nightclubs.  But there has been nothing more rewarding than being able to help others break out of the financial restraints and make more than a full time income from home.Online income opportunities are growing at a lightning fast rate. Now, more than ever, people are less than positive that their employment will be there tomorrow. Get out of the rat race. Have the confidence to quit that job you hate. Or even make extra money to take the vacation you always wanted.Ignore all that. It's time to be your boss. With the School of Self Made I've made more money working a part time schedule than I did when I owned several businesses and worked 80+ hours a week.  I'm here to teach you the quickest, most efficient ways to put money in your pocket and how to avoid the costly mistakes I made. You'll learn everything from reselling thrifted items on platforms like eBay to how to create income through affiliate marketing. The average millionaire has 7 different streams of income. I want to be your coach on how to get there and how to get there quickly.Follow the School of Self Made on social media, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and check out all of the free resources and tips over at schoolofselfmade.com.  My goal is to give each of your the tools and education to allow you to go to bed at night without worrying if you'll have enough money for anything. And I'm here for you. I can't encourage you enough to like, comment, and subscribe to our channels as well as ask any questions or suggestions as we walk this path to dollar bills. I'm successfully unemployed currently. I work from my own home and have been able to provide for my son in more ways than I ever imagined. And the best part is  I get to spend that quality time with him that I missed when working the 80+ hour work weeks.  Make your own schedule. Dictate your own finances.  Is it easy? Nothing in life comes without an effort. But I'm here to make that effort as minimal as possible.  I'm beyond excited to meet each of you.  Thank you so very much for your time and attention.  If you believe I've earned it, please subscribe and leave a 5 star review so others will be able to see our content.  WSupport the show (https://www.paypal.com/biz/fund?id=CHFU5TUZJKPXS)Buzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched! Most tenants spend up to 30% of their income on rents. When many have lost their jobs, it has made precarious finance even in the best of time. Now that thousands of Alaskans have suddenly found themselves without jobs, it has created a temporary problem with being able to pay rent that might have long-lasting impacts.Recorded:April 9, 2020Host:Kassandra TaggartDave StrohLinks:The Landlord's AlmanacFacebook PageWebsiteProperty ManagementDonationsSponsor the clubBook: Pain or ProfitSponsor the next show:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1x1VXOZPOYBXzA3hTvA0h5WjdiCrLpKuM/viewSponsor:Real Property Management Last FrontierBad Brads Bed Bug BustersShow Notes:IntroductionWhat happens in your industry on April 1?Rent is due; however, many won't be able to pay and many will be getting in line to obtain resources, causing another delay.Did the worst-case scenario happen as rents were supposed to be due on the first? At RPM, rent is due on the first, and late by the 3rd. We watched our trends from month over month and did a survey of the landlords to see their percent of non-payers.At RPM, we have a lot of middle-market buildings, not low or high end.  Due to being middle market, our non-payer percent was nowhere near as bad as what landlords reported in the group. What do you expect will happen in May, June, and even July. There is a concern that tenants that paid in April used their savings and credit cards so they might not be able to pay in May. However, others might finally obtain funds that will help pay their back-rent.So it is possible the % of non-payers might remain flat.As an investor, how are you handling the situation? As a business owner, this did reduce our income because we can not charge late fees, yet the work was still needing to be done.As an investor, I'm proud we spent the time to own properties in the middle market. All of my tenants have paid. Why Erik and I stayed middle market.Less stress and they are always employed and working. With so much vetting of tenants that we do, what changes are we making?Glad that you asked. Everyone needs to remember, this is a key time for tenant hopers.Define tenant hopers. Most Landlords Don't know how to navigate courts, collections, or credit.Right now, we have made it a bit more difficult, during prime time, it will be more stringent.A list of things we are doing to screen more strictly.Go look at the mortgage lending environment.Did you already have systems in place to help with this transition?I do wonder how others are doing this.
