Want to know what kind of reader you are? TAKE OUR QUIZ: https://www.currentlyreadingpodcast.com/quiz In this episode of Currently Reading, Meredith and Kaytee are back together to discuss their bookish moments of the week, and then tell you about three current reads each. For this week's episode, our current reads vary from ones we felt bland about, to books that we loved. For our Deep Dive, we answer a listener question about how to utilize the library well. We'll always end with our Before We Go segment, where we shout out a Bookish Friend of the week or talk about a specific small piece of our reading lives that we want to share with you. Today, Meredith shouts out a bookish friend who shared a neat graphic and Kaytee brings something she read about because Meredith read and brought it to the show. In this mini episode of the RV Miles podcast, Jason and Abby revisit past RV mythbusting segments from earlier episodes to see what still holds up, including whether you should buy an RV from Camping World, whether RV-specific toilet paper is necessary, and misconceptions about using Drano in RV plumbing (including cautions around waterless Hepvo traps). They also debunk bags of water with pennies to deter flies, discuss mixed claims about Irish Spring soap or dryer sheets for mice, and recommend sealing entry points, and dismiss the idea that you must be under 30 feet to camp in national parks. *Get links and more in the show notes at https://RVMiles.com/416 *Support RV Miles and independent RV journalism
How will expeditionary IR adapt and advance to meet the challenges of the next generation of combat operations? In this episode of the Backtable Podcast, host Dr. Ally Baheti speaks with Air Force IR physicians Dr. John Pavlus and Dr. Jonathon Schutt about the realities of expeditionary interventional radiology (EIR) in military and disaster settings. Brian Szytel hosts Dividend Cafe on Thursday, June 25, describing a mixed but slightly positive market with a growth-to-value rotation as equal-weighted indexes outpaced cap-weighted, rates dipped, and oil rose slightly while Brent returned near pre US-Iran levels; despite one major AI semiconductor earnings beat lifting parts of the space, much of tech was down. He reviews heavy economic releases: May PCE inflation met expectations (0.4% headline, 0.3% core; core PCE 3.4% YoY), Q1 GDP was revised up to 2.1%, jobless claims beat expectations, durable goods fell as expected, and personal income and consumer spending exceeded forecasts, with five of six items better than expected. He highlights dividend growth using a 2000 S&P 500 example where a 1.2% yield grew to about 5.5% cash-on-cash over 26 years, and discusses private credit redemption gates, diversification, and software-sector stress as a key risk versus a systemic collapse. 00:00 Market Snapshot 01:03 Economic Data Rundown 02:36 Value Rotation Drivers 02:45 Dividend Growth Power 04:36 Ask TPG Private Credit 05:11 Run on Bank Explained 06:49 Wrap Up and Weekend Links mentioned in this episode: DividendCafe.com TheBahnsenGroup.com
In this episode Dr. Jockers explains the truth about histamine intolerance and how it connects to allergies, headaches, rashes, and chronic inflammation. You will learn why histamine is an essential immune and nervous system messenger that becomes problematic when the body can't clear it efficiently. This episode explores the early warning signs and what they actually mean for your health. You will discover how histamine overload develops when gut health, liver function, and key enzymes like DAO and HNMT are compromised. The discussion breaks down why common symptoms like fatigue, hives, migraines, and skin reactions often trace back to this imbalance. You will also understand how internal stressors amplify histamine response in ways most people overlook. You will also learn the hidden drivers behind histamine intolerance including gut infections, nutrient deficiencies, and everyday medications that interfere with detox pathways. Dr. Jockers outlines how food choices, stress, and environmental exposures all contribute to the overall histamine load. You will come away with a clearer understanding of how to restore balance and support long-term resilience. Brian Szytel recaps a Wednesday session that began with a recovery bounce led by technology as interest rates and WTI fell, but the rally fizzled and selling in tech resumed while value names held up better. He says markets are digesting valuation pressure with stocks trading around 22–23x earnings and uncertainty around the Strait of Hormuz and U.S.-Iran negotiations, which could affect oil prices. He highlights the 2s/10s spread flattening from about 80 bps earlier in the year to about 26 bps, suggesting slowing growth and potential Fed policy risk as inflation remains a concern; markets imply a high chance of at least one rate hike by year-end. The key data point was weak May new home sales (580k vs 640k expected) and elevated unsold new-home inventory at 9.4 months amid high mortgage rates. 00:00 Market Bounce Fizzles 00:44 Valuations and Oil Risk 01:35 Yield Curve Warning Signs 02:00 Fed Policy and Rate Hike Odds 03:15 Listener Question on Spreads 04:03 Housing Data Miss 05:11 Wrap Up and Sign Off Links mentioned in this episode: DividendCafe.com TheBahnsenGroup.com
In January, 95% of the code Sean Barry's team wrote was written by hand. Six months later, that number is 2%. Sean isn't predicting what AI will do to your industry — he's living it, building it, and losing sleep over it.In this conversation with Dwayne Kerrigan, Sean Barry - the Chief Product Officer of LeanScaper - shares what the AI transformation actually looks like from the inside: the grief, the identity crisis, the compounding flywheel effect, and the window that's closing faster than most people realize. In this episode:Why most small to mid-sized businesses can't implement AI on their own — and what LeanScaper is doing about it for the landscape industryThe compounding flywheel effect: why companies that embrace AI now may be uncatchable by competitors who wait six monthsThe emotional journey Sean's team went through when AI fundamentally changed their jobs overnight — and what's on the other sideWhy the most powerful AI asset in your business might already be sitting in a drawer somewhereThe one thing Sean tells every business owner who doesn't know where to startWhy the resistance to AI — in boardrooms, on campuses, and inside teams — all traces back to the same root causeStart building your identity with Dwayne's Identity Framework created for the LeanScaper Conference: https://www.dwaynekerrigan.com/identity-framework/Episode Highlights:00:00 - AI Pace Shift00:27 - Podcast Intro00:59 - Meet Sean Barry03:33 - LeanScaper Explained04:33 - DIY AI Struggle08:28 - Jobs Fear vs Abundance14:46- Human Connection Premium17:08 - Mindset, Education, and Retraining25:57 - How to Start Using AI30:36 - SOPs as Superpower36:00 - Uncatchable Flywheel43:43 - Grief and Identity Shift53:26 - What Changed Since January58:14 - New Team Workflow Rebuilt01:00:51 - Wrap Up and Stay Tuned for Next EpisodeResources mentioned:LeanScaper — AI operating system for the landscape industryLMN (Landscape Management Network) — landscape industry business management softwareMark Bradley — Chairman and founder of LeanScaperLana — LeanScaper's AI agentChatGPT — referenced as starting point for AI adoptionClaude / Anthropic — cited as the inflection point in AI coding capability that changed everything in late 2024Claude Code — referenced as coding toolCodex — referenced as AI coding resourceGitHub Copilot / Microsoft Copilot — referenced in context of AI coding historyFigma — referenced as design tool being replaced by AI-assisted codingOpenClaw agents — referenced by Dwayne as agents running in his own setupQuotes:“ Your choice is not whether or not this happens, your choice is whether it happens with you or to you, and that's the choice you get to make.” - Sean Barry“ In January, ninety-five, ninety-eight percent of the code we would write was written by hand, and today, two percent. To Write us a Review please open up this Podcast in the your app on your computer and search for Living Life on Purpose https://elevatelifeproject.com/podcast Show Notes: Host Michael Cohan explains that people have a bigger impact than they realize through everyday kindness, citing University of Texas at Austin research showing recipients consistently rate random acts of kindness as more emotionally impactful than givers predict (e.g., hot chocolate expected 2.3/5 vs received 3.5/5), with intention and warmth mattering more than size. He emphasizes kindness is contagious, creating ripple effects as recipients are more likely to pay it forward. He offers practical ways to show kindness at home (help with chores, truly listen to kids, call aging relatives), at work (include quieter teammates, praise publicly, recommend or refer colleagues, small morale boosts), and in public (let others go first, genuine compliments, brief conversations, pick up litter/plogging). He challenges listeners to do one intentional act of kindness daily for seven days and invites sharing, subscribing, reviews, and visiting elevatelifeproject.com. 00:00 Show Intro 00:45 Why Kindness Matters 01:19 The Hot Chocolate Study 03:27 Kindness Ripples Out 04:16 Start With Home 06:48 Bring Kindness to Work 08:23 Everyday Kindness Ideas 11:02 Key Takeaways 11:42 Seven Day Kindness Challenge 12:20 Wrap Up and Subscribe 13:00 Closing Credits #KindnessMatters #RippleEffect #PersonalGrowth #Leadership #EmotionalIntelligence #BeTheChange #Gratitude #Compassion #PositiveMindset #ElevateLifeProject
Brian Szytel recaps a broad market sell-off led by technology and semiconductors, highlighting a nearly 10% drop in South Korea's KOSPI—an index heavily concentrated in Samsung and SK Hynix—attributed to valuation, demand shifts, and DRAM supply issues after a major run-up. He notes similar 5–10% declines in high-flying semiconductor names and emphasizes that despite real AI-driven demand and a rare reversal of decades-long chip price declines due to supply-demand imbalance, valuations still matter. On the economic front, flash PMIs were strong: manufacturing surged to 55.7, the highest in a little over four years, and services also beat expectations, supporting an improving growth backdrop tied partly to data-center CapEx. He addresses concerns about the U.S. dollar losing reserve status, arguing no viable replacement exists, citing dollar dominance in FX (90%) and global reserves (57%) versus the euro (20%). 00:00 Summer Market Check-In 00:31 Global Tech Sell-Off 01:38 Semis Valuation Reality 02:01 AI Chip Demand Shift 02:48 PMI Data Highlights 03:43 Dollar Reserve Status Fears 04:32 What Could Replace Dollar 05:53 Reserve Currency Numbers 06:32 Wrap Up and Q&A Links mentioned in this episode: DividendCafe.com TheBahnsenGroup.com
In this episode of Unashamed Unafraid, Sam and Mason discuss sexual addiction recovery with their shared therapist, Jason Dausses of Accepted Therapy. Sam opens up about longstanding self-judgment rooted in verbally abusive coaches and bosses, and Jason frames healing as both rescuing past wounds and then empowering oneself to live from “zero to ten” through real-time choices, community, and effective communication of needs. They explore why “95% honesty” still leaves a hidden 5% that fuels shame, how to ask others for specific support to create safety, and how boundaries relate to unmet needs and validation-seeking. Jason emphasizes grieving lost time, widening one's window of tolerance for discomfort, accepting God's unchanging acceptance even during acting out, and using mindfulness and inner-monologue journaling/parts work to observe thoughts non-judgmentally and reduce shame.Schedule an appointment with Jason Make a donation and become an Outsider!Follow us on social media! The hosts discuss Jerry installing iOS 27 beta on an iPhone 15 Pro Max and watch, reporting strong stability, snappy performance, and minor reported edge-case crashes, while noting Siri AI requires newer hardware due to RAM constraints and that others find the new Siri improved. Joe shares a fresh issue deploying an MDM configuration profile to disable Siri: users still received "unable to use Siri" prompts because "Listen for 'Hey Siri'" could remain enabled, requiring removing the profile, turning it off locally, and reapplying; Apple Intelligence also wasn't fully disabled. Sam describes improving client offboarding by building a monday.com form that feeds Zendesk tickets, and the group compares running lean teams, using subcontractors and Foundation as pay-as-you-go helpdesk support (including an optional branded phone line). The conversation explores the realities of building a business, including hiring mistakes, outsourcing lessons, pricing challenges, and the importance of understanding your numbers. In this episode, strategic talent and development leader and coach Shane Halifax shares how he moved from being a general manager at DFS into L&D after realizing he most enjoyed developing people, and explains what he learned about what does and doesn't translate from courses into workplace performance. He outlines a capability-based approach: defining role capabilities, benchmarking with top performers, using 360-style input to identify gaps, and aligning development to both business needs and squiggly career mobility through transferable skills. Shane discusses gaining C-suite credibility by engaging early in strategy conversations, focusing on root-cause diagnosis and measurable outcomes (KPIs, engagement, customer satisfaction), and demonstrating ROI beyond “bums on seats.” He also covers making mentorship strategic and scalable using technology, including matching for chemistry, tracking outcomes, and experimenting with group and reverse mentoring, plus how AI can accelerate content creation while keeping L&D focused on real business problems. 00:00 Welcome and Guest Intro 00:26 Shane's Path Into L&D01:13 Learning That Sticks at Work03:19 Capability Mapping and 360 Gaps05:23 Squiggly Careers and Transferable Skills06:50 Making Skills Strategic With Leaders09:25 Diagnosing Requests With 5Di12:26 Mentorship That Actually Works15:13 Scaling Mentorship With Tech19:48 Upskilling New Managers22:30 Rolling Out Relevant Training24:26 Marketing Learning for Adoption25:55 Getting a Seat at the Table28:29 Proving ROI That Execs Care About30:01 The Future of L&D and AI32:28 Wrap Up and Where to Connect

Alex also breaks down one of the busiest racing blocks in elite distance running, including Valencia, Seville where he ran a 2:11:41 PB, the World 50K Championships, London Marathon while sick, and then Comrades. He explains why he prefers racing often, recovering well, and building through shorter but effective training blocks rather than long uninterrupted build-ups. On Thursday, June 18, David Bahnsen recapped a strong market day led by the Nasdaq (up nearly 500 points, just under 2%), with the S&P 500 up just over 1% and the Dow up 72 points. Technology, consumer discretionary, and communication services led, while energy, financials, healthcare, and consumer staples lagged. He highlighted SpaceX's roughly $2.5 trillion market cap (down from nearly $3 trillion days earlier after a 17–18% drop) and contrasted it with Amazon and Microsoft profitability versus SpaceX's $19 billion in sales and a $9 billion loss. Economic data showed initial jobless claims at 226,000 (four-week average 223,000). Bond yields reflected further curve flattening: the 10-year fell to 4.45% while shorter maturities rose. 00:00 Welcome and Setup 00:23 Market Rally Snapshot 00:44 Sector Winners and Losers 01:07 SpaceX Valuation Reality Check 02:33 Jobless Claims Update 02:54 Yield Curve Flattening 03:28 Wrap Up and Tomorrow Preview Links mentioned in this episode: DividendCafe.com TheBahnsenGroup.com
Alicia runs through the latest round of Intuit announcements, including invoice deposits, garnishment tracking in Payroll, batch bill pay for up to 50 payments at once, and a redesigned review-and-pay screen that now shows clients every open invoice. She also gets a little cynical about Intuit's growing push to surface its own experts inside QuickBooks, where clients can connect directly with Intuit for setup, bookkeeping, and tax help. It wraps with a hands-on look at the new CAS revenue calculator at firmofthefuture.com and what it reveals about firm benchmarks and advisory pricing.Sponsors:Aqqrue - http://uqb.promo/aqqrueC&R Consulting - http://uqb.promo/cnr(00:00) - Welcome and Overview (00:29) - Better Together Tour (01:48) - Accountant Suite Training (03:14) - Modern Reports Update (04:21) - Invoice Deposits Changes (06:24) - Customer Payment Portal (08:02) - Payroll Garnishment Tracking (09:47) - Batch Bill Pay Upgrade (10:15) - Intuit Experts Pushback (13:19) - Cash Flow Tools Coming (14:28) - CAS Revenue Calculator (24:51) - Hands On Training Class (28:17) - Wrap Up and Goodbye LINKSFirmofthefuture.comAlicia's book on Amazon: http://royl.ws/conversion-bookJuly 21 through October 8: HANDS-ON QUICKBOOKS TRAINING COURSE, http://royl.ws/HOT2026?affiliate=5393907We want to hear from you!Send your questions and comments to us at unofficialquickbookspodcast@gmail.com.Join our LinkedIn community at https://www.linkedin.com/groups/14630719/Visit our YouTube Channel at https://www.youtube.com/@UnofficialQBOPodcastSign up to Earmark to earn free CPE for listening to this podcasthttps://www.earmark.app/onboarding

High conflict at work rarely announces itself. By the time it becomes a formal HR complaint or a leadership crisis, the patterns were visible much earlier—and the tools most organizations rely on to stay fair often make things worse, not better.Bill Eddy, LCSW, JD, and Megan Hunter, MBA, co-founders of the High Conflict Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona, are joined by Michael Lomax, JD, HCI speaker, trainer, and attorney, for Part 2 of a four-part workplace series. They break down the WEB method for early conflict assessment—Words, Emotions, Behavior—and explain why HR's focus on neutrality and incident-by-incident handling can inadvertently protect the person driving the conflict while penalizing the target. It's All Your Fault is produced by TruStory FM.Full Show Notes & ResourcesSubmit Questions | Bookstore | WebsiteWatch this episode on YouTubeImportant Notice: Our discussions focus on behavioral patterns rather than diagnoses. Jay Johnson, CFO and treasurer at Lamar Advertising Company (Nasdaq: LAMR), joined the REIT Report podcast to discuss the state of out-of-home (OOH) advertising, where Lamar sees new growth potential, the importance of serving local as well as national clients, the growing share of digital advertising, the enduring appeal of traditional billboard formats, and more. Founded in 1902, Lamar has been publicly traded for nearly 30 years and transitioned to a REIT 12 years ago. The company's longevity is rooted in the ability to remain relevant to clients as the business has evolved from traditional billboards to digital and programmatic advertising, Johnson noted.Johnson described OOH advertising today as well positioned, with national advertising improving and new categories like pharmaceuticals opening meaningful opportunities. “It's a great time to be in out-of-home,” he said, noting that even a small share of pharma ad spending could be significant for Lamar. David Bahnsen recaps a major market day following the first FOMC meeting chaired by Kevin Warsh, where the Fed left rates unchanged but offered a notably brief statement with little forward guidance. The dot plot implied higher rates ahead, though Warsh declined to submit his own projection, reinforcing his opposition to forward guidance as a policy tool. In his first press conference, Warsh announced five task forces covering Fed communications, the balance sheet, data sources, productivity and jobs, and inflation frameworks, and emphasized focusing on what data says about the economy rather than predicting the Fed's reaction. Markets sold off: the Dow swung from +280 to close -500, the S&P fell 1.25%, and the Nasdaq more than 1.25%, alongside a yield-curve flattening with short rates up far more than the 10-year. All 11 S&P sectors ended down. 00:00 Welcome and Setup 00:10 Fed Meeting Recap 01:14 Dot Plot and Guidance 01:55 Five Fed Task Forces 02:44 Reaction Function Critique 04:17 Market Selloff and Yields 05:29 Sector Performance Breakdown 06:02 Economic Data Check 06:26 Wrap Up and Sign Off Links mentioned in this episode: DividendCafe.com TheBahnsenGroup.com

Matt and Jordan review HBO’s Sundance acquisition Miss You Love You. And while Jordan finds it to be a handsome, moving, and well-acted "filmed play", Matt finds too modest and predictable. For Rec Seg, Matt revisits the grueling, ice-cold dread of corporate culture with a 2019 workplace thriller, while Jordan counters with a classic 1982 Sidney Lumet thriller packed with more twists, turns -- and smooches! Finally, Jordan takes the reins as Dungeon Master for a game called On a Wing and a Prayer. Chapters / Timecodes (Timecodes/chapters may not be precise with ads.) David Bahnsen recaps Tuesday, June 16 market action with the Dow up 329 points (+0.64%) while the S&P fell over 0.5% and the Nasdaq dropped 1.15% as big tech/AI names sold off. Oil fell another 4.5% with WTI around $77, and the 10-year yield declined three basis points to 4.437%. Financials rallied about 1.5% (helping the Dow), with strength also in some healthcare names, while energy mostly continued lower. Bahnsen argues Monday's rally was less about Iran/Strait of Hormuz headlines and more a return to AI-tech momentum, which reversed Tuesday, framing the key market tension as AI momentum and valuations versus more fundamental sectors like REITs, healthcare, industrials, and staples. He also defines “first-year maximum drawdown” as the largest peak-to-trough decline in a stock's first year post-IPO. 00:00 Market Recap Overview 00:38 Sector Rotation Snapshot 01:31 Bonds and Tech Divergence 02:11 Debunking the Iran Rally 03:04 AI Momentum vs Fundamentals 04:07 What Drawdown Means 05:02 Wrap Up and Contact Links mentioned in this episode: DividendCafe.com TheBahnsenGroup.com

Did Michigan's Cheating Scandal Enable Texas Tech's Gambling Defiance? | Buckeye Weekly PodcastOn the Buckeye Weekly Podcast, Tony Gerdeman and Tom Orr discuss a listener question arguing that the NCAA's handling of Michigan's Connor Stalions cheating scandal emboldened Texas Tech's defiant response to quarterback Brennan Sorsby's gambling-related rules violation. They compare the schools' approaches, noting Michigan threatened legal action but never went to court, while Texas Tech obtained a Texas judge's injunction blocking the NCAA's suspension attempt and released a 22-minute video defending its position. They argue the NCAA has punished or tried to punish wrongdoing (including fines and individual penalties), but courts and conferences like the Big 12 may shape outcomes, and they explore how conference or College Football Playoff decisions could affect Texas Tech if the situation continues.00:00 Welcome and Setup00:45 Listener Question01:25 Michigan vs Texas Tech02:37 NCAA Teeth and Courts04:00 Shameless PR Defense08:18 Mental Health vs Eligibility09:34 Judge Ruling and Big 1212:05 CFP Fallout Scenarios14:07 Wrap Up and Callouts
