#liderazgo #equipo #vulnerabilidad #lideresemprendedores #emprendedoresargentinos #resiliencia #disciplina #esfuerzo #entrenamiento #exito #trabajoduro #preguntas #habitos #conversacionesdificiles #feedback #liderazgo #lideresemprendedores #lideresempresarios

Dear Boss Babe... Busy doesn't mean productive. If you've been wearing multitasking like a badge of honor, it's time we had a little heart-to-heart. Hustle culture has convinced high achievers like us that juggling everything at once is the secret to success—but truth? It's draining your energy, stealing your peace, and keeping you from the real wins that matter. In today's pep talk, I'm breaking down why multitasking is a trap and why efficiency is your new self care practice. You'll hear why slowing down isn't falling behind, why presence beats busyness every time, and how choosing one meaningful priority a day can completely shift your results (and your sanity). This is for the boss babes who are tired of being “busy” but not satisfied, for the dream chasers who know they're meant for more, and for the women who are ready to protect their peace instead of their to-do lists. ✨ What you'll learn in this episode: Why multitasking is actually sabotaging your productivity How efficiency protects your energy and sharpens your clarity The simple daily shift that will help you feel true progress—not just pressure Why being fully present is the most powerful flex in both work and life Remember: busy is not the goal. Present, intentional, impactful—that's the real win.

Daily Boost Podcast Show Notes 7 Success Shifts That Actually Work (Part 1) September 23, 2025 | Episode - 5187 Host: Scott Smith Episode Description Scott's back with part two of his success mindset series, and he's fired up about it! After sharing 14 mindset shifts yesterday, he's diving into seven more game-changers that'll help you get what you want. From facing your passion to letting go of control, Scott breaks down practical ways to shift your thinking. He talks about doing things "the Scott way" (which really means your way), why good enough beats perfectionism, and how the people around you are shaping who you become. This isn't Reddit-worthy advice—it's real-world stuff that works. Featured Story Scott shares his approach to decision-making by asking himself, "How would Scott do it?" It's not about ego—it's about trusting the way you were born to handle things. He talks about how God gave him a specific way of doing things, even if he started out "stupid" and had to figure it out over time. The key insight? When you trust your natural approach instead of copying what others say you should do, you tap into something authentic and powerful. Scott's motorcycle trip example shows how letting go of control and letting others lead can actually work better than trying to be out front all the time. Important Points Good enough is actually good enough for most things, and when executed consistently, it becomes perfect over time through the compounding effect. Multitasking splits your energy and delays success—focus your one mind on one thing, or better yet, see everything through the lens of your core values. You are who you hang out with due to the proximity effect, which influences your faith, money, attitude, and everything else in your life. Memorable Quotes "The confounding effect over time of being good enough and not reinventing the wheel every single day just makes perfect out of good enough." "You are so much more interesting than anything on social media. You are so much more exciting." "I think you are fighting some influential warfare today, and the more you understand that and realize that, the more you begin to really take control." Scott's Three-Step Approach Face your passion and ask yourself how you would naturally handle each situation that comes up, trusting your God-given way of doing things. Practice the good enough approach by focusing on one thing at a time and letting consistency create perfection over time. Evaluate your proximity circle and say no to anything that doesn't directly support your goals, values, and vision for your life. Ever feel like you're carrying bricks in your backpack that no one asked you to carry? Or turning a five-minute task into a half-hour saga of overthinking? You're not alone, and your brain might actually be the culprit. In this episode, Dr. Bray pulls back the curtain on why we over complicate simple things and what neuroscience reveals about it. (Hint: it's not just about dopamine, it's about the way our brain's prediction systems and default mode network keep us stuck in loops of worry and “what ifs.”) You'll learn: Why your brain makes simple things feel hard, and how it thinks it's helping. The hidden costs of overthinking on your energy, creativity, and well-being. Practical tools to stop adding “extra screws” to life and start living with more clarity and ease. If you're ready to stop over-engineering your days and start creating space for simplicity, joy, and focus, this episode is for you. QUOTES BY DR. BRAY "The mind is designed for survival, not for peace. To find peace, we must practice it intentionally." "Overcomplicating things gives us the illusion of control, but real control comes from simplicity." "Multitasking is the art of doing everything poorly at once."

Have you ever ended your day straight-up exhausted — like you were busy all day, but when you look back, you've got almost nothing to show for it? Let me be real with you… it's not because you need to do more. It's because hustle culture has tricked you into glorifying multitasking — and baby, that will burn you out every time. In this episode, I'm calling out multitasking for what it really is: a productivity trap. Hustle culture has us believing that juggling a million things is a badge of honor, when in reality it's draining our energy, scattering our focus, and robbing us of the self-care we desperately need. If you're tired of ending your days feeling drained instead of proud, this convo is for you. By the end of this episode, you'll learn: Why multitasking is actually task switching and how it secretly kills your focus. The sneaky ways hustle culture convinces ambitious women to mistake “busy” for “productive.” Simple, practical strategies to protect your energy, set boundaries, and reclaim your peace through real self-care. Press play right now to stop glorifying hustle culture, reclaim your focus, and protect your peace so you can show up as your highest self. Einfach logisch. They discuss the concept of 'diluted focus' and how multitasking is often a disguise for distraction rather than a productive strategy. The discussion highlights the dopamine trap that many individuals, especially entrepreneurs, fall into, leading them to seek constant novelty and distraction. Adam and Jess propose practical strategies for overcoming these challenges, including creating short-term filters for success and embracing the joy of missing out on distractions. They emphasize the importance of commitment and intentionality in achieving goals and maintaining focus.TakeawaysMost people have a focus problem, not a time problem.Diluted focus leads to diluted results.Multitasking is a myth; it's just distraction.Dopamine hits can lead to addiction to distractions.Creating a short-term filter can help maintain focus.Joy of missing out (JOMO) is better than fear of missing out (FOMO).Commitment means doing what you said you would do.Distractions steal your freedom and joy.Challenge yourself to stay focused for short periods.Be present where your feet are planted.Chapters00:00 Chasing Shiny Objects: The Focus Problem04:56 The Myth of Multitasking09:33 Understanding the Dopamine Trap16:26 Creating a Short-Term Filter for Success22:14 Detaching from Distractions and Finding Joy

From her innovative SWORD analysis for goal setting, to practical strategies for reclaiming focus and accepting help, Michelle offers actionable insights that challenge traditional productivity thinking.Leaders will come away with fresh perspectives on integrating personal and professional life, the hidden costs of micromanagement, and why bending time isn't about managing minutes, but about living with purpose, clarity, and energy.TakeawaysBurnout often stems from chasing “work-life balance,” which can separate people from their whole selves.Leaders thrive when they integrate passions and strengths from different areas of life into their work.True productivity requires physical and mental health: quality sleep, nutrition, and consistent movement. The lymphatic system depends on physical activity — sitting too long allows toxins to build up.“Bending time” means focusing on what fuels you rather than squeezing more hours out of the day.Multitasking is a myth — it decreases focus, increases mistakes, and prolongs tasks.Removing notifications and delegating tasks clears mental space for deep, high-value work.Leaders must avoid micromanagement and trust their teams to develop and excel. The SWORD analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, risks, and desire) emphasizes whether goals are truly worth pursuing.Accepting help is not a weakness; it builds connection and accelerates progress.Personal and professional networks can be blended intentionally to open new opportunities.Micro-moments of joy — a walk, a cup of coffee, or celebrating small wins — can prevent burnout more than long vacations.Chapters00:00 The myth of work-life balance00:39 Introducing Michelle Niemeyer: From law to burnout coach02:21 Early career in law and frustrations with the system04:34 Burnout and the dangers of “work-life balance”07:57 Bringing your whole self into work and life09:31 Health coaching, lifestyle changes, and the lymphatic system11:34 Discovering autoimmune disease and the shift to health coaching15:44 Creating The Art of Bending Time framework19:34 Micromanagement, delegation, and team empowerment22:10 Why notifications and constant availability hurt focus27:02 Rituals for winding down and mental clarity29:54 Clarity, joy, and finding sparks in daily life31:19 SWORD analysis explained and the role of desire35:11 Letting go of outdated or inherited goals38:44 Blending personal and professional networks43:05 The importance of asking for and accepting help49:48 Leadership, teamwork, and accountability50:56 Michelle's favorite book and final reflections52:15 The power of daily sparks and micro-moments of joy56:28 Closing thoughts and community resourcesMichelle Niemeyer's Social Media Links:https://www.instagram.com/michelle_niemeyer_wellness/Michelle Niemeyer's Website:https://www.michelleniemeyer.com/Resources and Links:https://www.hireclout.comhttps://www.podcast.hireclout.comhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/hirefasthireright

In this enlightening episode of "Father and Joe", hosts Father Boniface and Joe Rockey delve into the pervasive issue of distractions that challenge our personal focus and spiritual growth in today's hyper-connected world. They explore how instant accessibility, through technology like smartphones and emails, has amplified our vulnerability to constant disruptions, pulling us away from our primary goals and weakening our relationships with ourselves, others, and God.Joe candidly shares a recent personal moment of distraction and links it to a broader cultural challenge where algorithms are designed to capture and fragment our attention. Father Boniface highlights the resulting context switching and energy loss, emphasizing the need for discipline and careful management of our task loads to maintain harmony and efficiency in both professional and personal spheres. The conversation then shifts to the deeper, often overlooked aspect of spiritual connection. Unlike the persistent pings from our digital devices, God's call is subtler, requiring intentional effort to hear amidst the noise. They discuss how cultivating a habit of unplugging from distractions can enhance our ability to listen to God and fortify our spiritual relationship. This episode illustrates how reordering our focus toward God not only enriches personal spirituality but also simplifies our lives, leading to more genuine, meaningful relationships with others.Father Boniface further enlightens us on how aligning ourselves with God's moral law serves as a loud guiding voice, akin to the orchestral harmony that can heal dissonance within our lives. By tuning into God's melody through disciplined practice and conscious effort, where minor virtues like integrity and love can echo through actions even in business practices, we can transform chaos into divine symphony. This episode is a call to action for listeners to embrace the challenge of reducing distractions and deepening their bond with the divine. Embrace the "risk" of living like Christ, they urge, with the promise of discovering a life full of realigned priorities, coherent relationships, and newfound peace.Join Father and Joe as they invite us all to explore the profound benefits of retuning the spiritual strings of our lives to align with the greater symphony that God orchestrates every day.Tags:spiritual growth, God, relationship with God, distractions, technology, focus, discipline, spirituality, personal growth, mindfulness, harmony, technology impact, digital detox, soul care, spiritual awakening, podcast, conversation, Father Boniface, Joe Rockey, daily life, union with God, church habits, modern challenges, divine guidance, mental clarity, inner peace, faith-based, Christian podcast, moral law, conscience, life balance, spiritual priorities, self-improvement, finding peace, life direction, personal development, faith journey, Christian life, God's will, multitasking, simplicity, sacred listening, authenticity, divine orderHashtags:#SpiritualGrowth, #RelationshipWithGod, #OvercomingDistractions, #FocusOnFaith, #Mindfulness, #GodFirst, #ChristianPodcast, #FaithJourney, #FaithBased, #DigitalDetox, #SoulCare, #InnerPeace, #SpiritualAwakening, #GodsWill, #LifeBalance, #FindingHarmony, #ModernChallenges, #DailyLife, #SelfImprovement, #SpiritualDirection, #FaithInFocus, #Simplicity, #SacredListening, #ChristianLife, #LifeDirection, #SoulGrowth, #DivineGuidance, #TechnologyImpact, #Multitasking, #ChristianFaith, #SpiritualPodcast, #MindfulLiving, #AuthenticFaith, #FindingPeace, #LifePurpose, #Clarity, #FaithCommunity, #LifeGoals, #FaithfulLivingThis line is here to correct the site's formatting error.

What Kids Say about Social Media and Productivity

Late last year, the Pew Research Center conducted a survey of almost fourteen hundred teens, ages thirteen to seventeen, to come to an understanding of our teenagers' experiences and attitudes around social media and their mental health. One of the most interesting findings is that after all these years of adults noticing the drop in kids' productivity due to so much time spent on social media, the kids are now beginning to realize this themselves. Four out of ten thirteen to seventeen year olds say that social media platforms hurt their productivity. This makes sense as we know that social media is distracting, with notifications interrupting whatever it might be that our attention should be focused on. In the past, research has shown that the human mind can not multi-task with optimal productivity for either task. Teach your kids to focus their minds on the task at hand, putting their phones aside so they might do their best at whatever it is, all to the glory of God.

This week on So What Now, we unpack a viral TikTok that challenges the usual checklist for choosing a partner. Sure, faith, finances, and fitness are great—but what about the ability to suffer well? Life will get messy, and having someone who doesn't fall apart in the chaos might just be the most underrated trait of all. Dex keeps it real and admits she's not built for bedside caregiving—she'll cut the check, but don't look for soup and soft words. And if she ever becomes the one in need? Her motto is simple: just take her out! Things take a turn when we discuss the woman who found out her husband's ex hacked their home security system and watched over 44,000 minutes of footage. Dex is baffled at how anyone has that kind of time, while Carla confesses she might've been one click away from doing the same. We also tap into the rising trend of “poly-working”—people holding down two full-time jobs, often powered by AI. Carla's here for it (shoutout to her ADHD superpowers), but Dex is barely making it through one job. Speaking of jobs, Carla shares a little about her short-lived corporate career and the moment it ended with a good ol' fashioned workplace fight. Yes, hands were thrown. You definitely want to hear this one. CONNECT WITH US ON SOCIAL MEDIA: CARLA WILMARIS | DEX

MaximizeYourInfluence.com  Discover the Shocking Truth: How Multitasking is Sabotaging Your Influence and Crushing Your Productivity Imagine this: You're juggling emails, a Zoom call, and that "quick" social media scroll—all while convincing yourself you're a productivity powerhouse. But what if I told you this habit destroys your ability to influence and manage your time. For years, we've been sold the lie that multitasking is the key to getting more done. But cutting-edge studies from 2023 to 2025 paint a starkly different picture: multitasking doesn't boost efficiency—it destroys it through "task-switching," where your brain bounces between tasks, racking up hidden cognitive costs like slower performance, more errors, and exhausting mental fatigue. Think your brain is wired for parallel processing? Think again. Neuroscience reveals that we can only truly handle one complex task at a time; overloading the prefrontal cortex leads to poorer results across the board. Multitasking, or the art of juggling several tasks at once, is more common than ever before in the workplace. In 2022, a German think tank called Next Work Innovation released a study which showed that knowledge workers are interrupted on average every four minutes during the working day! In a past episode of Do You Really Know, we discussed how our brains manage to cope with multiple demands at once. Suffice to say: it's not easy! It can be really tricky to focus again after a distraction, and many workers believe interruptions negatively impact their productivity and well-being at work.  Why is it so important to know how to say no then? How can I learn to say no then? What if saying no is just too difficult? In under 3 minutes, we answer your questions! Send us a textIf multitasking really worked, we'd be caught up on email, folding laundry, and finishing a podcast all at the same time. But in reality, multitasking isn't doing two things at once—it's rapid task-switching. And every switch comes with a cost.In this episode of The Workplace Chameleon, Dr. Celina Peerman unpacks why the myth of multitasking persists and what it's really costing leaders, teams, and organizations. From the illusion of productivity to cultural pressure to “always be on,” Dr. Celina explores why so many of us fall for multitasking and why it leaves us drained, error-prone, and spinning in shallow work.

Are you one of those people who is amazingly gifted with the ability to “multitask”? Most women raising children are great ‘multitaskers’ as they often are doing many things at one time, even with little kids clamoring for their attention. Some say that this remarkable ability deteriorates as we age, but I’m not so sure. Come with me back to Jerusalem in 445bc and let’s watch many ‘multitaskers’ working together to accomplish the amazing task of rebuilding the WALL around the city.(Click here to see full text, images and links)    Pastor Doug Anderson    “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, with our eyes fixed on Jesus…” (Heb. 12:1,2)Have a comment or question about today's chapter? I'm ready to hear from you, contact me here. Edith Targonski arrived to the United States from Peru when she was 19 years old. Her sister had arrived a few years before and she was so happy about being reunited with her, but unhappy to speak English. She had visited the U.S. numerous times prior to her move but didn't know much English and lacked confidence in her speaking skills. She soon met a fellow immigrant from Poland, who arrived at 17 years old with his parents. They fell in love and got married. Edith and her husband created a beautiful family blending and honoring their individual cultures from South America and Poland, while building their own family traditions. They learned English and raised their children in an English speaking household but also exposed their children to Spanish and Polish for them to have the opportunity to communicate with their grandparents and broaden their horizons. Since arriving twenty seven years ago, Edith has been very motivated to learn, grow her career and serve the community. She earned a special education degree from Sacred Heart Univ, and was an effective classroom teacher for many years. Currently, she serves as a passionate advocate for families who have children with special needs. She is a business development consultant. She has been a dedicated volunteer to many organizations, giving credit to her father for her need to give back and learning this from watching him. She has graduated about 9 senior citizens who have achieved citizenship under her tutelage at the Stamford Senior Center. She currently serves in the role of Editor-in-Chief of Latincolors magazine, which is a bilingual magazine that is widely circulated throughout Fairfield County, CT. and Westchester County, NY. The mission of Latincolors is to bridge both geographical and cultural communities and celebrate the accomplishments and endeavors of the people, agencies, groups and organizations making a positive impact in the community. It is available in both English and Spanish and is a free publication and available online. Like many other guests on the podcast, she was enrolled in the PLTI (Parent Leadership Training Institute). She has been a facilitator for People Empowering People-PEP and currently serves on the Design Team. In addition, she serves on numerous other boards in the community, all of them serving the immigrant and Latin communities in different ways, while raising her 3 children to be passionate, giving and kind people.
