When Hong Kong was handed over to China by the United Kingdom 1997, the city was given a mini-Constitution called the “Basic Law.” Article 23 of the Basic Law states that Hong Kong shall enact laws of its own to prohibit various national security offenses. The law did not pass, however, and was scrapped after mass protests in 2003. And in 2020, the Central Government of the People's Republic of China (PRC) imposed a separate national security law on Hong Kong, citing the city's delay in acting on Article 23. This year on March 19th, Article 23 was passed unanimously by the city's parliament and it came into effect just days later. The law covers five types of crime: treason, insurrection and incitement to mutiny, theft of state secrets, and espionage, sabotage, and external interference. Critics say that Article 23 could lead to even further erosions of civil liberties in Hong Kong.To discuss Article 23 and its implications, host Bonnie Glaser is joined by Dr. Eric Yan-ho Lai. Dr. Lai is a Research Fellow at the Georgetown Center for Asian Law, an Associate Fellow at the Hong Kong Studies Hub of the University of Surrey, and a member of the Asian Civil Society Research Network. How we feed babies and young kids greatly impacts their health, growth, and future. This affects not only the children but also women and society. While baby formula has its uses, and it literally be a life saver in certain circumstances, it also comes with significant health, economic, and environmental costs. On the other hand, breastfeeding has proven health benefits for both mothers and babies in high-income and low-income settings alike. Despite that, according to the World Health Organization, less than half of babies and young children are breastfed as recommended. How did this happen? According to a three-paper series published in The Lancet in 2023, the lack of breastfeeding is due to multifaceted and highly effective strategies used by commercial formula manufacturers of infant formula. The strategies are designed to target and influence parents, health-care professionals, and policy-makers. This episode explores the roots of this problem: the infant formula industry in the early 20th century captured doctors and medical associations in order to sell their product. And when they reached the limit of infant formula market in the United States, they simply aggressively sold their powders to mothers in poor countries, with disastrous and deadly consequences. PODCAST SATELLITETHE VOICE OF ISRAELShevat 8, 5784 GEOPOLITICS AND PROPHECY A SPECIAL PRESENTATION with Prince Handley PROPHETIC WARNING FOR ISRAEL PREPARING FOR THE TEN KINGS אזהרה נבואית לישראל Listen HERE >>> LISTEN NOW Prince Handley Commentary (FREE) > BLOG Email this message to a friend and help them! ____________________________________ DESCRIPTION OF THIS TEACHING In this message I want to alert you to the Preparation of the TEN KINGS that Bible speaks about several times not only in the Tanakh (the Old Testament_ but in the Brit Chadashah (the New Testament). These Ten Kings are a KEY element concerning End Time Prophecy … and they MAY be on the scene now. They may NOT know what role they are to fulfill―or even have a faint idea concerning prophecy―but they will be KEY in helping the FALSE MESSIAH (the antiMashiach) come into power. They will actually persuade the leaders of the nations AND leaders of the New Global Governance to elect the antiMashiach (AKA “Beast”) to the office of Global Leader. ____________________________________ REGIONAL GLOBALIZATION PREPARING FOR THE TEN KINGS The Holy Bible mentions―or alludes to―“Ten Kings” in different places; however in five main areas: Daniel 7:23-25 “The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings.” Revelation 13:1-2 “It had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on its horns,” Revelation 17:3 “beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns.” Revelation 17:12-14 “The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast. They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast. They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers. Revelation 17:15-18 Then the angel said to me, “The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages. The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire. For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to hand over to the beast their royal authority, until God's words are fulfilled. The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth.” These TEN KINGS have an important part to play in End Time Geopolitics with Satan. _________________________________ IMPORTANT There is already a “push” towards Globalism by many international bodies and groups like WEF, CDC, and the UN. I want to ALERT you to a development that many are NOT aware of … Regional Globalism. _________________________________ You can study my reachings on Globalism at the University of Excellence under One World. The Holy Bible prophesies Globalism (which has been in the works for decades) and which the Holy Bible alludes to as a Global Key for the End Times (study Revelation Chapter 13) when the New Global Leader (the False Messiah or anti-Mashiach) takes control for seven years. However, I want to ALERT you to a development that many are NOT aware of: Regional Globalism. There is a “breaking away” by many nations that are in the Globalist movement to Regional conglomerates that meet their needs more specifically: by trade, by ideology, by self aggrandizement and by military protectionism. _________________________________ IMPORTANT There is NOT a common global consensus. Instead of a common opinion, many countries want to align with “like-minded” countries. Other counties that specifically meet their needs or provide trade and economic advantages. _________________________________ The West (including the USA and EU) are being “left behind” in this regard. So what is the REAL reason for this Regional Globalism? ANSWER: It is preparing the stage for the Ten Kings [Ten World Leaders] which major prophecy foretells. _________________________________ IMPORTANT The TEN KINGS do NOT come into authority until either right before OR at the same time as the New Global Leader (the antiMashiach = FALSE messiah) These TEN KINGS align with the antiMashiach and yield their power to him. The antiMashiach needs the TEN KINGS to help him gain Global Control We do NOT know if the TEN KINGS are revealed before OR when the “Time of Jacob's Trouble” starts. _________________________________ The arch-enemy of Israel―and of humankind―will throw everything he can at Planet Earth before his prophesied demise by Mashiach. The Jewish prophet Yochanan [John] in Brit Chadashah (Hebrew New Testament), Chapter 17, shows that the New Global Governance Leader―the FALSE messiah (NOT the REAL Messiah)―will join to himself [at first be part of] ten geopolitical leaders to assist in his End Time policies. We also have record in this in Tanakh of the same in the Book of Daniel, Chapter Seven, verses 23-25. These ten kings are ten geopolitical entities that have NOT existed before. They will make up a global alliance newly organized out of which the FALSE messiah will evolve. They will assist the New Global Leader in the―foolish and failed―attempt at opposing the return of the REAL Mashiach. Could some of the powerful executives of MNC's (MultiNational Corporations) provide the “work source” for the “10 Kings” referred to ten times in the Holy Bible? In Tanakh, Book of Daniel, we read, “He … will greatly honor those who acknowledge him. He will make them rulers over people and will distribute the land at a price.” (Daniel 11:39, NIV.) This is from a portion of Daniel's prophetic description of the implementations of the New Global Governance Leader―the FALSE mashiach (anti-Mashiach). Daniel prophesies that “elites” of some status will receive mega rewards for their support of this end-time incarnate spirit of Satan. Specific KEY people who acknowledge him and accept his authority will receive a reward of land. “Land” in its Aramaic form used here would also include “economic domain, property or geographic area.” These “elites” are bought off for their loyalty … and made rulers over many! Then they assist the antiMashiach by giving—transferring to―him their authority and power. HaShem gave us prophecy so we could know where we are at ... know where we are going ... know what's happening today ... and know what's happening in the future! Our job is to listen and obey … to work with Him in obedience for the protection and salvation of Israel. PRAY, ask the LORD what He would have YOU to do. It's time for The Institute (the Mossad) to utilize agents who are filled with Ruach HaKodesh to initiate cyber infiltration of MNC (MultiNational Corporation) leaders and CEOs in order to monitor activity with regard to global and geopolitical control. As time progresses, any systemic anti-Israel relationships of Multi National Corporations that have highly positive correlation of linear regression will be “highly suspect” as to End Time enemies of Israel. South Africa's post-apartheid foreign policy has largely emphasised state-led continental political and economic integration. However, little attention has been paid to the influence of the country's multinational corporations – or ‘MNCs' – in this process. MNCs have indeed made an important contribution to increased integration across Africa, due to expansion strategies and the desire to increase market share. Dr Mpumelelo Mkhabela and Professor Christopher Changwe Nshimbi from the Centre for the Study of Governance Innovation at the University of Pretoria argue that we should do more to acknowledge this.
This is a film review of Network (1976) one of the greatest movies of all time. Network shows how the news went from being a social service to being a for profit part of big corporate news networks. Before the late 1970's channels would lose money on the news services. However in the late 1970's that would change. CNN would be borne in 1980 as a response, thus cementing in the age of the 24 hours Soft News Cycle to replace the hard news of the past. Human interest stories, car chases, and communist terrorists dominated the air waves because they got ratings. This has only continued to get worse. Network the film predicted it all. Network also has some of the best all time monologues by Howard Beale where he goes off and explains the nature of the world. These have inspired anti globalist videos for years. We take a sober look at Saturday's massacre of African Americans in Buffalo. The shooting was partly because of white supremacy. But the REAL reason for the shooting is it's too easy for every lunatic in America to get their hands on an assault weapon. Our nation's gun laws are an act of collective suicide. We choose weapons over peace. We prefer profits for arms manufacturers over our own security. From guns to for profit healthcare Americans are killing themselves in the name of Mammon. Taxing multinational corporations more fairly is often presented in the media is a no-brainer - an open goal for government to increase tax revenue and cut down on tax avoiding behaviour. But what seems like a simple policy is in fact incredibly complicated, requiring the navigation of complex international laws and fundamental questions over types of property and where intangible assets exist. In this episode, Paul speaks to Helen Miller, IFS tax expert, and Dan Neidle, a tax lawyer specialising in corporate taxation, to get a sense of how successful international efforts to tax multinationals are.Support the IFS: https://ifs.org.uk/donate See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Long-term drought, extreme heat, intense fires and unpredictable weather -- obviously, Arizona is feeling the effects of climate change now. Governor Doug Ducey and Republican Legislators continue to pursue the capitalist path of unbridled and unchecked growth as the road to prosperity, with no concern regarding the environmental impact or the long-term sustainability of their ideas. In her speech to the UN climate conference in 2019, teen climate activist Greta Thunberg called the corporate push for more consumerism ... more growth ... more building "fairytale" and warned world leaders that the youth of planet Earth expect action. In 2021, Thunberg called the COP26 climate conference in Glasgow "more blah, blah, blah" and scolded leaders for making little progress. Climate change is a ticking time bomb. The human race has roughly this decade to make major changes in order stop the worst effects of climate change. Also, what the Prophet Daniel revealed concerning geopolitical and economic policy as it possibly pertains to MultiNational Corporations (MNC's) in the future … and maybe today! _____________________________________ MORE END TIME SIGNS FOR ISRAEL & NATIONSDANIEL PROPHECY OF GEOPOLITICAL LEADERS Let's look at some NEW signs that are actually OLD signs. Messiah Yeshua said: “And as it came to pass in the days of Noah, even so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise even as it came to pass in the days of Lot, they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but in the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. After the same manner shall it be in the day that the Son of man is revealed.” ‒ Luke 17:26-30 If you study both of the Torah contexts closely that Jesus referred to—Genesis Chapter 6 for Noah … and Genesis Chapter 19 for Lot—even a casual perusal gives evidence that great wickedness was present on the earth. In Genesis 6:5 we read, “And the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of people's hearts was only evil continually.” In Genesis Chapter 19 we see that God judges Sodom because of the prevalence of homosexuality being practiced there. When the two angels from God came to Lot's house to deliver him and his family, we read: “But before they lay down, the men of the city, [even] the men of Sodom, compassed the house around, both young and old, all the people from every quarter; and they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men that came in to you tonight? Bring them out unto us, that we may know them. And Lot went out unto them to the door, and shut the door after him. And he said, I pray you, my brethren, do not so wickedly. Behold now, I have two daughters that have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing, for as much as they are come under the shadow of my roof.” The homosexuals in the city wanted to practice perversity on the two men who were Lot's guests―they did NOT know they were angels. This was deemed such wickedness by Lot that he was willing even to let the men abuse his own daughters in exchange for the safety of the men (the angels). So we see that in both contexts there was great wickedness―which will also be prevalent upon the earth in the End Times. The Book of Revelation, also, tell us great wickedness will be prevalent. However, there is something extra concerning the “Days of Noah.” “And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the ground, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all that they chose. And Jehovah said, My spirit shall not strive with man for ever, for that he also is flesh: yet shall his days be a hundred and twenty years. The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of God came unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them: the same were the mighty men that were of old, the men of renown. And Jehovah saw that the wickedness of people was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of people was only evil continually.” – Genesis 6:1-5 This brings to question: Who were the Nephilim? And, who were the “sons of God” spoken of in context here? In the Book of Job, verse 6, we read: “Now it came to pass on the day when the sons of God came to present themselves before Jehovah, it was that Satan also came among them.” Notice TWO (2) things: The Hebrew phrase for “sons of God”―”bnai Elohim”―always refers to “angelic host” but does NOT differentiate between holy angels or fallen angels. It does NOT refer to humans as “children [or] sons of God.” Also, in Genesis 6:12 we read, “And God saw the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.” But, Noah was a righteous man with a wife and three sons and their three wives, who found favor in the eyes of the LORD. Evidently the seed line—the DNA—of the human race had become so corrupt that God had to destroy the whole earth, except for Noah and his family. Possibly Noah's faith―anointed by Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit)―protected him from corruption of his DNA. Since we know that good—or holy—angels would NOT have been involved in the seduction or sexual intercourse with “the daughters of men,” it would have been “fallen angels.” In the Book of Jude we see more light on this. “And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.” (Jude verses 6 and 7) We see references to both signs of the End Times which Messiah Jesus talked about: ■ The days of Noah; and, ■ The days of Lot. However, notice that Jude mentions “angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation.” Another translation would be, “the angels that did not keep within their original authority, but abandoned their proper sphere …”—or—“the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode.” It is this author's opinion that The Living Bible has an accurate paraphrase of Jude:1-4: “Now a population explosion took place upon the earth. It was at this time that beings from the spirit world looked upon the beautiful earth women and took any they desired to be their wives. Then Jehovah said, “My Spirit must not forever be disgraced in man, wholly evil as he is. I will give him 120 years to mend his ways.” In those days, and even afterwards, when the evil beings from the spirit world were sexually involved with human women, their children became giants, of whom so many legends are told.” – TLB These giants were the Nephilim. When Joshua went into the Promised Land he and the Israelites encountered the Rephaim and Nephilim. Remember, David killed Goliath, a giant of nine feet in height. Here is another thing―although NOT scripture―that is worth considering: Every prominent ancient culture has stories of beings―usually referred to in some manner―as gods who interfaced with humans; that is, part human–part angel … or hybrid beings! Other ancient textual writings, such as the Book of Enoch, relate the belief of a mixed race of part human–part angel beings referred to as "Watchers." Several almost complete copies of the Book of Enoch in Aramaic were found among the Dead Sea Scrolls, and it is clear that whoever collected the scrolls considered it a vitally important text. Even more intriguing is the fact that additional, previously unknown or little-known texts about Enoch were discovered at Qumran among the findings with the Dead Sea Scrolls. The most important of these is The Book of Giants. However, it is the opinion of this author that The Book of Giants is NOT a trustworthy source as many scholars consider the older sections―mainly in The Book of the Watchers―to date from about 300 BCE. Conversely, there are those who give credence to the Book of Enoch, as we shall next discuss. The Book of Enoch was still in existence centuries before the birth of Christ. It was considered scripture by many early Christians. The earliest literature of the so-called “Church Fathers” was filled with references to it. The Second and Third Century “Church Fathers”―Justin Martyr, Irenaeus, Origin and Clement of Alexandria―all quoted from the Book of Enoch. Tertullian (160-230 CE) referred to the Book of Enoch as “Holy Scripture.” The Ethiopic Church even added the Book of Enoch to its official canon. It was widely known and read the first three centuries after Christ. However, it became―along with many other books―discredited after the Council of Laodicea. Thereafter it was not disseminated until around the time of the Protestant Reformation. Then, there was a revived interest in the Book of Enoch. By the late 15th Century rumors began to spread that somewhere a copy of the long lost Book of Enoch might still exist. During this time many books arose claiming to be the long lost book and were later found to be forgeries. The return of the long lost Book of Enoch to the modern Western World is credited to the famous explorer James Bruce, who in 1773 returned from six years in Abyssinia with three Ethiopic copies of the lost Book of Enoch. So now ... let me ask you a question: Are the Nephilim: Still here? Coming back? Not only do we see TODAY the altering of gene lines in GRIN Technology and Synthetic Biology, BUT … we also have seen external players—other worldly beings—altering gene lines (DNA) of the human race in the past. WHY? The answer (with reference to Satanic motives) is the same NOW as it was THEN: ■ To destroy the Messianic bloodline. Originally to keep Messiah from being born. In the End Times, to stop Messiah's return. ■ To “hatch” a breed of rebels. People who will be subservient to Satan. Candidates for 10 Regional Leaders. The arch-enemy of Israel―and of humankind―will throw everything he can at Planet Earth before his prophesied demise by Mashiach. The Jewish prophet Yochanan in Brit Chadashah (Hebrew New Testament), Chapter 17, shows that the New Global Governance Leader―the FALSE messiah (NOT the REAL Messiah)―will join to himself [at first be part of] ten geopolitical leaders to assist in his End Time policies. We also have record in Tanakh of the same in the Book of Daniel, Chapter Seven, verses 23-25. He will make them rulers over people and will distribute the land at a price.” (Daniel 11:39, NIV.) This is from a portion of Daniel's prophetic description of the implementations of the New Global Governance Leader―the FALSE mashiach (anti-christ). HaShem gave us prophecy so we could know where we are at ... know where we are going ... know what's happening today ... and know what's happening in the future! Our job is to listen and obey … to work with Him in obedience for the salvation of Israel. PRAY, ask the LORD what He would have YOU to do. It's time for The Institute (Mossad) to utilize agents who are filled with Ruach HaKodesh to initiate cyber infiltration of MNC (MultiNational Corporation) leaders and CEOs in order to monitor activity with regard to global and geopolitical control. As time progresses, any systemic anti-Israel relationships that have highly positive correlation of linear regression will be “highly suspect” as to End Time enemies of Israel. Find out that 10s of $Billions of holdings are hidden with direct NZ Government knowledge - so as to not be scrutinised by 'we the people.’ We first cover some recent history, and the stopping of economic imperialism here in NZ on the far reaches of what was once the British Empire. However it's about Offshore Corporations being able to profit from NZ resources and labour and taking all their profits away overseas and not really investing in the NZ community at large. For example, back in 1975 at the bottom of the South Island the Bluff aluminium smelter was built by the Rio Tinto Group an Anglo-Australian multinational and the world's second largest metals and mining corporation. This smelter was classified by CAFCA as the largest corporate bludger in NZ. They obtained cheap electricity from Governmentally owned power stations - huge amounts - at a tiny fraction of what a NZ householder would pay for. Murray also stated that CAFCA has a clear message – that it does not take immigration as a reason for the inequities of large amounts of money being taken out of NZ, as this can be easily hijacked and if you are not careful, slip into racism – especially if you are not vigilant. The concern is foreign big business and their domination of virtually all aspects of the NZ economy. Like land sales, banks, news media etc – but virtually any sector of the NZ economy you care to think about is dominated by TransNational Corporations. They used to be called MultiNational Corporations – because they increasingly operate in a huge number of countries, a number of them so global that they are far larger than the NZ economy. Oil corporations and Apple, Google, Amazon and Microsoft – the digital corporations – they are enormous and continue via software developments to expand their influence whilst encroaching on ours. NZ Needs to Become Self Sufficient. AIMs of CAFCA – that NZ should be a self sufficient economy and that if you are going to have foreign investment it has to be for the benefit of NZers not to simply for overseas investors to ‘fill their own pockets.' For example; 2,000 workers at the Bluff smelter will be now out of work. Because it suits the Corporate interest to do that. That a corporation basically does not have a social contract or obligation and they are doing nothing to improve NZ's debt situation. Thus CAFCA considers them to be a net liability – not an asset. He mentions also the film playing now in NZ called 'Island of the Empire' and it's about NZ’s military relationship with the United States that's been updated with Murray starring (my words) way back in the mid 1980's featuring journalist Nicky Hager, ex Green MP Keith Locke and his sister Maire Leadbeater. Plus ex Activist now Mayor of Invercargill - Tim Shadbolt. Also mentioned, is the 30 year old campaign against the Five Eyes Waihopai - Echelon Listening outpost for the US - UK alliance – that vacuums up all our, (meaning your) - telephone calls, fax’s, texts etc etc. And then saves them for later. Green Rush - Murray mentions the excellent Radio NZ research on who owns our land. The four largest private landowners in New Zealand are all foreign-owned forestry companies. This superb research by Radio NZ is an eye opener. https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/in-depth/400417/green-rush-foreign-forestry-companies-nz-s-biggest-landowners The information comes from an excellent RNZ investigation into land ownership in New Zealand. Using Land Information New Zealand data, Companies Office searches and other research, RNZ compiled a list of what is believed are the 100 biggest private landowners in New Zealand by area, not including the Crown and public entities (which control at least 28 percent of the land) or iwi (Maori). Forestry – not the above radio NZ article which only focussed on land ownership and did not focus on leased land and that is more dominant. This is important to realise - that it is not what is recorded - but what is obscured or hidden. Foreign direct investment (ownership of companies) in New Zealand increased from $15.7 billion in March 1989 to $121.7 billion as of March 2019 - almost eight times. As a proportion of the total output of the economy, Gross Domestic Product, it has risen from 22% to 40%. Statistics NZ data shows the countries where $100m or more in foreign direct investment was based as of March 2019 as being, in decreasing order: Australia, Hong Kong, US, Japan, UK, Singapore, Canada, Netherlands, British Virgin Islands, China, Cayman Islands, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Germany and France (though the investments from some countries have been suppressed). These accounted for 93% of foreign direct investment in New Zealand.. Australia alone accounts for 50% with $57 billion of the $113 billion total. Murray continues, About You - the average NZ home owner. The average house owner who owns less than 5 hectares of land and collectively owns about 1.5 % of NZ. But, it gets worse - those who have around an acre of land with their house on it, such as Mum and Dad owned homes - the total comes to 0.5% of NZ. Large units of Privately owned land in NZ We have 4,600 people in NZ 0.1% of the total population that own half of the land owned by the 10 largest landowners. Listen to this, because Murray says the present government is doing something about curtailing the sale of our land … Eugenie Sage, the Green, Minister for Lands ‘outside’ of Government (not invited to Cabinet meetings) has actually said No to an overseas buyer. The Transnational mining company Oceania Gold, who are mining in Waihi in the Coromandel (where there is a huge hole in the ground) was not allowed to expand its operations to buy more farmland so as to use it to dump more toxic waste – however she was overruled by Labour Govt Cabinet Ministers. In this case the Finance Minister David Parker who is basically at the top of the pecking order along with David Clark (also the Minister of Health ) who is associate Minister of Finance. Both overruled her. However Murray states that since 2017 that this Labour lead Govt, of NZ First and the Greens has been doing something substantive to slow down the sales of land to overseas buyers. The Government now has a watchdog type unit that is monitoring sales. Called the ‘Overseas Investment Office’ - you must first check in with the OSIO to see if you can buy … listen or better still track the links below this article. Banking $10,000,000,000 of banking profits from NZers annually - from 5 million people. NZ's Four largest banks in NZ are Australian - These four Aussie banks constitute an enormous chunk of the NZ economy (and who is it who owns these Australian Banks? Do they have links back to the UK or the US? Follow the money …. They are taking out of the NZ economy $10.3 billion dollars profit which is a substantial amount from less than 5 Million people. In the decade from 2010 up until 2119 they made $84.4 billion in profits out of satisfied NZers. Of which ¾ of this money left NZ. We discuss how the ASB the Auckland Savings Bank, once a very successful ‘Trust’ bank was sold off to the Commonwealth Bank of Australia - which was then privatised by the Conservative Howard, Australian Government. In NZ the many ‘Trust’ Banks that were here - were absorbed into Westpac of Australia. Only Taranaki and Southland remained sovereign. We learn that Jim Anderton of the Alliance Party managed to start Kiwi Bank totally against the wishes of Prime Minister Helen Clark and Finance Minister Michael Cullen of the Labour Party. In 2019 we learned of ‘other’ tax havens such as the Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Channel Islands which include Jersey and Guernsey, Dubai and United Arab Emirates and Island of Man – but the value of all their holdings have been suppressed as quote unquote – Confidential. That the NZ government refuses to let this information out. Listen ... we can go on becoming serfs in our own country or we can ask every political candidate why is this so? Even Ex National PM John Key mentioned that NZers may become tenants in their own country. Not that he really made an effort to alleviate that. We also learn in this interview, how Labour’s Minister of Finance, David Parker is now making it more streamlined for overseas investors to buy into NZ. This is a shocker. Note that any purchase in NZ that is under $100 million does NOT have to go through any Government oversight – and they do not show up in the statistics! Murray gives an example – if the Auckland Sky tower went up for sale at $99.999 million dollars and someone from Russia, China or America wanted to buy it – that sale would not figure in any of the NZ Government books – it would just go through as an ordinary real estate transaction. (hidden from Public scrutiny) So you can see that the present Government has actually taken the goal posts away from the field altogether. This being done in plain sight by our generously paid elected Representatives who have run away with their own agenda by refusing to represent the interest of ‘we the NZ public.’ Just like selling our house or a flat or whatever … but in Australia it’s considerably higher - they have a $520 million threshold – so the Australian public are being shafted too. That all sales under that $100 million threshold, 'fly under the radar' and the NZ Government (your Government) for decades has been complicit in this. You would have to question that they are wanting to do away with our Sovereignty as a self-reliant nation! Have a good focused listen. This is an Election Issue. In 2017 the Government put in certain breaks to stop certain countries coming in and bulk buying houses – Have a listen ... Australian and Singaporeans can buy a house in NZ today or many, because of the NZ/Singapore Free Trade Agreement and the Closer Economic Relations (CERA) with Australia, respectively. Note that recently the Australian Government convened a Royal Commission of Enquiry into their Banks (and the Insurance Industry) and have found very damning evidence of wrongdoing – but the NZ Government has declined to do the same – though the 4 largest banks in NZ are Australian owned. Which gives us cause to wonder … We hear from Murray that over seas insurance corporations take in profits of $38 billion annually. As there is an election here in September I asked Murray what questions we should ask Politicians in any public forum? Every candidate be asked about* – why the Government rushed through the Temporary Overseas Investment (urgent measures ) Amendment Act – so that any foreigner has to have it run by a Governmental National Interest Test. This is to stave off in the situation that critical businesses and infrastructure cannot be bought out in a fire sale - if due to another Covid or other national disaster that collapse the economy and then have a foreign entity or predator come in and scoop our assets up at a bargain basement price – an then exit the country … Now most countries globally have done the same and in Australia too. So* ask our political candidates to make this 'National Interest Test' - permanent – be it a farm or the Auckland harbour bridge – it has to go through that National Interest Test. Do you agree to that? That it be made permanent. Plus, to now make this to apply to transnational investors already operating in this country. Murray said that the Bluff Aluminium smelter would not have passed this test – saying they are a bunch of bludgers – he said if the National Interest Test had been applied to all the overseas banks in NZ – they would have failed it too. Also ask this question. Do you renounce the whole Neo Liberal Economic Model? This will let you see who is independent or who follows the party line. Also mentioned that farms are being bought up and converted to pine forests – do we not need to keep the rural sector populated and have schools – villages and towns and the local infrastructure working sustainably - being robust? Other subjects covered. NZ sources so many of its medicines, pills etc from overseas - that a huge percentage come from India and this was compromised during the Covid lockdown - because we had all our eggs in one basket. The US too had 95% of its antibiotics sourced from China. Trump has certainly put a halt to that. Rio Tinto of Australia and what they did on the island of Bougainville was totally lacking in a social conscience. US Bases at Christchurch? It is exempted from NZ Nuclear Free Law, and NZ politicians will tip toe around it, trusting NZers will remain silent. That NZ Legalised spying on NZ – by the J Key Government The Global media program lies that NZ is an honest country, when it is definitely not. Murray states that CAFCA is also for Progressive Nationalism Versus Globalism. Wanting NZ to become as self sufficient and sustainable as possible. To remind you all. Find out that 10's of $Billions of holdings are hidden with direct NZ Government knowledge - so as to not be scrutinised by 'we the people.’ This is a giant scam and needs to become an election issue - and it will - with your help and assistance. What I didn't get around to asking about: Fishing companies in NZ. TPPA. Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement. Anything we need to know? Water resources being sold off at a pittance to overseas entities. I have this link. To Aotearoa Water Action https://www.aotearoawateraction.org.nz/ IMPORTANT. Selling into NZ – Products from China that overtime deteriorate in quality. I apologise to readers, in my listening and poor note taking and writing them up coherently. In this episode, I have a brilliant conversation with Debbie Reynolds, also known as The Data Diva. Debbie is a thought-leader and advisor to Multinational Corporations for handling global data privacy, cyber data breach planning and response, and complex cross-functional management of data-centric projects. In this episode, Debbie and I talk about the divide she saw growing up between the opportunities available in big cities like Chicago compared to nearby small towns and suburbs, and how that sparked her interest in the Smart Community space. Debbie shares with us the trends and considerations she sees related to the digital divide, and how it plays out differently in the US compared to Europe and elsewhere, plus why it's so important to inform citizens about data transparency, privacy and protection issues so that they can make informed decisions. We talk about the new data privacy laws in California that came into effect in January 2020 and the impacts Debbie expects, both at the individual citizen level and the big tech companies level. Now, we recorded this conversation in December 2019, so we talk about the California Consumer Privacy Act in future tense, but of course this episode is airing in April 2020 and so the CCPA is well underway now.Debbie shares her observations of what's happening globally as the world moves towards more data ownership at different rates in different places and the challenges and opportunities of integrating and collaborating between disciplines, organisations and governments, especially with regards to data breaches and ransomware incidents. We finish our chat discussing the emerging trends of the prevalence of biometric data and also of ransomware attacks on public and private organisations.Be aware that there are a couple of spots in this interview where the audio cuts out or clips the end of words, however it's a brilliant conversation overall. What better source than the American companies which are their principal customers. Want to know if the Chinese consumer is once again shopping? Again, one of your best real sources is the American Multinational Company which sells their products in China. Such is the reach and scope of these large, generally technology based cross boarder companies that they are currently more tuned into the Chinese economy than any other source.
The objective is to shift from assessing formal job functions to understanding the deeper issues influencing the contribution of a global workforce to the multinational firm's strategic success.
We discuss with Martin Naville, CEO of the Swiss American Chamber of Commerce, whether Switzerland is losing competitiveness in attracting and retaining Multinational Corporations
New Zealand was once a country of many backyard gardens. Janice talks about how NZ used to be a very localised, cooperative community-orientated country that used to grow a lot of its own food. That many people had gardens and orchards and that today with urbanised living and houses squeezed on to small sections - farmers markets have become more common as urban people still want to purchase fresh food that is preferably organic as well. She said that up until 1996 NZ was self sufficient in growing its own wheat, a good healthy wheat, like you would find in Italy as they as a pasta making country grow good quality wheat. However in 1996, Fonterra the NZ dairy giant took over the wheat fields and turned them into dairy and instead NZ now imports a more unhealthy wheat into the country as to fill our bread eating needs. This is when 'gluten free' started to really emerge. She says if we go to Italy they have a very clear understanding of wheat as they are a spaghetti, lasagne and pizza eating country and she said we need this type of wheat to grow back here once again. (preferably organic). Educating the local public in Natural Health Very early in her life Janice became a qualified naturopath, who assisted people to get well and who lived on a lifestyle block on an acre of land with her 4 children. She had lost her husband - and to supplement her income, used to have bus tours drop in to look at her herb garden because she had the Herbal Education Resources Centre which she still has today. Janice also put on some small Health Expos and the media would show some interest - as she was self sufficient with her large organic veggie garden and orchard - doing her own preserves and baking her own bread and home cooking. However, due to her ‘different' life style she was visited by Social Services who came to her house one day because some unknown person complained that she was neglecting her 4 children's eating needs. Yet, though she had food that she could pick, prepare and cook, they noticed that her deep freeze did not have any ice cream, green peas and white bread - and because she did not have - what they called 'the basics’ - she was taken to court for medically neglecting her children. The need for more Health Information lead her into Publishing Keen to share her herbal knowledge Janice continued to give talks to community groups as well as church gatherings and youth clubs and so on. This was when, she began to notice kids turning up with inhalers and she realised that in a number of ways this is a world going unhealthily crazy. That seeing she had a corporate background she started a little newsletter and published more health information because in the mid to late 1970s to have a plate with many greens on was unusual especially for the standardised commercial NZ family. It was from these humble beginnings Healthy Options came into being - and when she focused on meditation etc Rainbow News became an additional holistic publication. The Old Ways from Grandmothers One of the main features of Healthy Options was about the old ways - Grandmother recipes, stories and cures were printed as they were being forgotten and also being whitewashed by the sanitised medical profession. Yet, today scientists are starting to track back and investigate old grandmother cures. Because over the last 3 generations or so, many of them have been forgotten yet they are a very rich repository of century old remedies that not only work they also have no side effects either. She also states that old recipe books were disappearing off the shelves and forgotten. Even the NZ Women’s weekly magazine, up until 1975 always had home tips in it and the magazine thrived - however in those days women would go to their doctor and say that they were using some kawakawa or calendula on their leg - or whatever herb they chose and the doctor would rubbish them! As the allopathic medical (drug) model was what doctors had only been trained in. This was one of the critical reasons why Janice started Healthy Options. So with Healthy Options and Rainbow News it was in many ways a networking arrangement that gave out all sorts of suggestions for simple living, and easy to use tips for a healthy body. These cures were for basic as well as even more chronic ailments. Also, that while moving around interviewing people and networking she would hear of or meet practitioners who had actually had their officers raided and all of their stuff taken. This being sanctioned by the Government. Listen The Rise of the Medical Establishment and the drug culture. Whilst the NZ media spent a good couple of decades rubbishing natural health (and organics too) - the Medical establishment was made to be seen as the truth - the way and the light! But, in reality it was just creating more drugs, more reactions and more health statistics - that dramatically increased. This is when it became very noticeable that the pharmaceutical industry started lobbying politicians … Natural Medicine then morphed into Alternative Medicine - that changed to Complementary Health and has now morphed again into Integrated Medicine - when once upon a time it was simply called Natural Health. Listen to this little story ... Natural Health = Traditional Medicine Janice tells how this came about yet she mentions that all 'these names' actually are what the World Health Organisation calls - Traditional Medicine. As Janice says, that 80% of the world’s population still follow traditional medicine. That they will use their traditional medicine first before turning to drugs. Being of Health Boards gives Janice an Overview Janice mentions that she was also on certain boards that oversaw the natural health industry so she had an overview of what was happening especially who were the main players as well as the forces at play. The NZ 'Round Table’ (of Top Industry Leaders) in researching successful businesses realised that with such a large number of New Zealanders taking supplements etc that if the National Government made laws against the 'natural health industry' - they would lose a huge number of voters - so they did a 180 turn and instead supported the industry here. Fending off Australian Trans Tasman Harmonisation Control Listen to this story on how we stopped the Australians from taking over our medicine regulations. This was a 12 year battle with thousand of people protesting (sound familiar?) Because the Regulatory Board was made up of big Pharmaceutical and medical appointees lock-stepped with MultiNational Corporations. This was the reason for wanting to conduct a ‘harmonisation proposal (between Australia and NZ). Invoking an 1835 Aotearoa Maori Trade Agreement In 2009 the Pharmaceutical Industry lost the chance to monopolise NZ - where they had been more successful in Australia - so they called up a meeting with the Trade Ministers and due to a particular 'trade agreement with Maori’ back in 1835 - NZ is now in a situation that the NZ Government can not make any legislative changes in our food and medicine. We are instead being influenced by other pressures - Listen Becoming Aware of Industrial or Factory Food Spraying of Round and Glyphosate - Bees are being destroyed. In her practice today she is seeing malnutrition because New Zealanders are eating ordinary sprayed standardised crop food. Better known as Industrial or Factory food. For example, broccoli and lettuce are very high in organic phosphates. Saying, for good health you MUST eat organic broccoli, organic lettuce and organic green vegetables. Also, they are a greens that the insects just love - hence the spraying of them. The best quality food grown in NZ is Exported Supermarkets - basically all the best food in NZ is exported. Supermarkets get the best of the 2nd grade and then the 3 grade usually goes to independent grocery stores (with a few exceptions) NZ’s Unconscious Health Priorities? Note that the top two commodities sold in NZ supermarkets are Coca cola - because it is often cheaper than water. But, it does give you an understanding of the consciousness or the lack of consciousness of the average New Zealander - hostage to both advertising and being a 'walking desire body.' After those two we have bread - white bread and then ice cream following up. So there we have it. An unconscious consumer base self sabotaging themselves for short term indulgences. Yet gluten free products are selling more now as a result of consumers starting to become - more conscious. Organophosphates are getting into our food chain and Janice says they affect our memory. Organophosphates are a group of human-made chemicals that poison insects and mammals. Organophosphates are the most widely used insecticides today. New Zealand fruit and vegetable growers are using three pesticides restricted in the United States. ... A fourth organophosphate, chlorpyrifos, has been banned for home garden, non-agricultural use in the United States but is widely used in New Zealand.Jan 13, 2005 (Taken from latest Google search). Janice introduces her very powerful and compelling book: Ocean of Drugs - the demise of healthy options. She talks about patients who show up at her clinic who are taking up to 12 different medications. For so many people today are awash in pharmaceutical drugs that to be healthy is really a challenge - because many people do not know what these particular drugs are actually for! Plus the side effects are in many case very pronounced. Janice still has her own garden and grows much of her own food and she says we have to become very aware of what's happening across the spectrum and that todays chemical input is extremely obvious and that we must take steps to eat a clean diet of organic produce. Especially as cancer is increasing at an astonishing rate - that we have to ask the question, why is this so and what am I eating and what are we doing to ourselves to cause cancer to manifest? Especially that my body has rebelled against me. There is so much more in this interview - that I realise Janice has a huge amount of knowingness on healthy living and choices that the imperative is to interview her again in the very near future. This interview is a must for New Zealanders wanting to reset their health priorities and embark on a new regime of healthy options. To download and listen is only the equivalent of about 7 photographs. For her Book - 'Ocean of Drugs' or Health Enquiries: JanicePriest.com HealthyOptions.co.nz

Clayton Thomas-Müller of the Mathais Colomb Cree Nation in Northern Manitoba, Canada, is the indigenous oil campaign organizer for the Indigenous Environmental Network. He works across Alaska, Canada and the lower 48 States of the US with grassroots indigenous communities to defend their human and environmental rights against transnational oil corporations. Clayton has been recognized by Utne magazine as one of the top 30 under 30 young visionary activists in the U.S.. Sue Supriano interviewed him at Bioneers where he was a presenter.Thomas-Muller says that 35% of all fossil fuels found in North America are on or near indigenous lands so corporations and government organizations concentrate on exploiting them and socio-economic conditions are worsening for the people who live near the sites of these nonsustainable energy sources such as oil and gas. Like so many people, some of the leaders go for the money offered them by the corporations and government agencies and things get worse and worse in terms of the toxicity of the land, water, and air where the indigenous people live. He goes into some detail with the example of the proposed oil refinery in Fort Berthold, North Dakota which is already subjected to a huge amount of toxicity due to being close to coal fired power plants. The oil refinery would only worsen the situation. Parents are very concerned for the health of their children on the Reservation. He says that already the amount of oil spilled into the water and polluting it in one year is equivalent to 1,000 Exon Valdez oil spills. Then the oil would go from Fort Berthold to Chicago and would be driven by the oil extracted from tar sands in Native lands in Alberta, Canada. In fact those lands (a huge number of miles and acres) are being ruined by being drilled with water to get a bit of oil, and then the water is polluted to the point of being undrinkable with toxicity from the chemicals from the oil. So it's all connected and continues the long tradition of exploitation of Native peoples and their land.We also speak about climate change and the disprportionate hardship for people of color and poor people. The Houma indigenous group in Louisiana being a current case in point as they were severely affected by Hurricane Katrina and got absolutely no government help whatsoever. The Indigenous Environmental network, when invited by local people, comes in and educates and help grassroots groups to fight this exploitation of the people and their environment and, in the example of the Houma, to help them with basic needs.
Evon Peter is the Chief of the Neetsaii Gwich'in people in Alaska. He is an amazing young man who, though he grew up carrying water to his one room house which was remote and without energy from gas or oil (no electricity, etc), now travels the world speaking about his people and all indigenous people and the welfare of all living things. He especially makes a plea for us in the United States to stop the US and the oil companies from drilling in the Arctic Wildlife Region. This bill is in the US Congress as we write right now. Evon Peter from his website www.nativemovement.org:"The relationship between the Indigenous Peoples of Alaska and the United Stated needs to be addressed. This relationship is out of balance. Indigenous Peoples are struggling for basic human rights, quality education, and jobs. Yet, the colonial governments and European-based corporations are making billions of dollars in profit from Indigenous land and resources in Alaska every year. Our place as human beings in the world is out of balance. Through greed, fear, and over-consumption, we have hurt many relationships between one another and our relationship with the earth. Our path as humankind needs to be altered to incorporate values of respect, unity, and balance."The things we discussed in this interview are those in the above two paragraphs-- the need for getting off our addiction to oil, the extraction of which is damaging to the environment and its inhabitants whether it be in Ecuador or Alaska. It makes people sick, hungry, destroys societies, the land itself and the animals and plants that live on it. We agreed that oil has peaked and will cheap oil will become unavailable very soon, but even sooner we can begin making those necessary transitions to sustainability in energy, our lives and our societies. He invites anyone who shares the values and sentiments expressed in the native movement website to join in creating a harmonious and sustainable world.
