Autodesk CMO Dara Treseder returns to Rapid Response to break down what worked, what didn't, and what the ads reveal about where marketing is headed next. My guests today are Alex Behring and Daniel Schwartz, Co-Managing Partners of 3G Capital. 3G has built one of the most distinctive firms in investing around a simple idea: there are only a handful of truly great businesses and even fewer great CEOs. Their model is to raise capital with the intention of making just one investment per fund, commit meaningful amounts of their own money alongside their partners, and focus all of their time and best people on that single opportunity.  Their approach has produced a series of iconic deals, including Burger King, Tim Hortons, Hunter Douglas, and Skechers. They have also become known for developing talent early, giving young leaders real responsibility and ownership, and holding an unusually high bar. Once you've heard from Alex and Daniel, I highly recommend you read our in-depth profile on them and 3G Capital. They gave our managing editor Dom Cooke unprecedented access and the outcome is an excellent profile about the fifty year history of 3G and how the model began with Jorge Paulo Lemann in Brazil. This episode I am reading from Holly Porter's book 'Near Death Shift : What Dying Taught Me About Life, Business, and Purpose'.When everything fell apart, grace held her together. After seventy days in the hospital—including two intubations, a coma, and a near-death experience—Holly Porter awoke to a life forever changed. Near Death Shift is her breathtaking true story of survival, spiritual awakening, and divine purpose. When Holly entered the hospital, she had no idea her world was about to stop breathing. Fighting for her life through sepsis, paralysis, and weeks on a ventilator, she experienced what few ever have—a journey beyond the veil. In that sacred realm, she found herself surrounded by a radiant stadium of light, angelic choirs, and divine messages that would reshape everything she believed about life, leadership, and love. What she brought back was more than hope—it was a blueprint for transformation. Through her signature SHIFT framework—Surrender, Hope, Intuition, Faith, and Transformation—Holly reveals how pain can become purpose and how surrender can lead to strength. Each lesson offers spiritual and practical guidance for anyone navigating loss, trauma, or the longing to live a more purposeful life.As Holly learned to walk, breathe, and live again, she also learned how to listen—how to trust the quiet voice of divine intuition and follow the signs that would lead her to rebuild not just her body, but her mission. Her near-death experience became a new beginning, inspiring the creation of Retreat RnR, a platform for transformational retreats, and the Adventure Bucket Wish Foundation, dedicated to helping women lead with purpose, passion, and presence.Blending powerful storytelling with timeless spiritual truths, Near Death Shift invites readers to see their own challenges through the lens of grace. It's a reminder that the hardest seasons often carry the seeds of our greatest callings—and that even in the darkest nights, love and light remain.Whether you've faced illness, loss, burnout, or a crisis of faith, this book will meet you where you are and guide you toward healing and hope. With honesty, humor, and hard-won wisdom, Holly shows that no matter what you've endured, your story isn't over—it's shifting you toward the person you were always meant to become.Readers will discover:✨ How to find divine meaning in life's hardest moments✨ The healing power of faith, surrender, and intuition✨ Tools to rebuild life after loss or trauma✨ Ways to transform adversity into abundance✨ Hope, strength, and renewed connection with what truly mattersIf you've ever wondered why you're still here—or what your pain is trying to teach you—Near Death Shift will help you uncover the light hidden within your own story.“I didn't come back to who I was—I came back to who I was created to be.”BioHolly Porter, Hon. Ph.D., is an entrepreneur, keynote speaker, podcast host, and humanitarian who turned the fight for her life into a global mission of purpose and transformation. During a seventy-day hospitalization, Holly had a near-death experience and several other profound spiritual experiences. These led to the development of her SHIFT framework—Surrender, Hope, Intuition, Faith, and Transformation—a model that guides individuals to find meaning in adversity and to live with greater purpose. Holly is a best-selling author and the founder of multiple ventures, including the PropTech and SaaS platform Retreat RnR, and the Adventure Bucket Wish Foundation. She inspires audiences worldwide with her keynote speeches and her All Things Retreat Podcast. When you have a big vision but zero “formal” experience in the space, do you move forward anyway? In this powerful episode of She Believed She Could Podcast, host Allison Walsh sits down with serial entrepreneur Rebecca Matchett to talk about how she has repeatedly built successful companies by trusting her instincts, solving real problems, and building the right team around her. From co-founding iconic fashion brand Alice + Olivia, to reinventing women's sizing with TrioFit, to now launching Synchrony, an AI guided social app designed specifically for neurodivergent adults, Rebecca's journey is a masterclass in mission driven entrepreneurship. She shares how she moved from fashion to tech, why she believes lack of “traditional” experience can actually be an advantage, and what it really takes to bring a vision to life in a totally new industry. You will hear a candid conversation about trusting others with your ideas, navigating app development as a non technical founder, handling missteps as learning experiences, and staying anchored in your why when the path ahead feels unclear. If you have a mission on your heart but feel intimidated by everything you do not know yet, this episode will encourage you to take the next right step.In this episode, you will learn:How Rebecca went from co founding Alice + Olivia to building tech and AI enabled solutionsThe story behind Synchrony and how it supports neurodivergent adults who struggle with isolation and lonelinessWhy not having prior experience in an industry can help you see fresh solutions and gaps in the marketPractical ways to move through perfectionism and analysis paralysis so you can actually launchHow to build a trustworthy team around your vision and navigate the risk of outsourcing developmentWhy mission, focus, and taking one small step at a time matter more than a perfect long term planWhat confidence really means when the outcome is not guaranteed Connect with Rebecca:LinkedIn: @joinsynchronyWebsite: joinsynchrony.com

People analytics has spent years building credibility through data. Now the pressure is different. Business leaders aren't just asking for insight - they're expecting direction. Where should we invest? What should we stop doing? What risks are we not seeing yet? But many teams still find themselves pulled back into reporting cycles, ad-hoc requests, and an overemphasis on metrics that don't always lead to better decisions. So what shifts when people analytics starts operating more like a product and less like a project function? In this episode, David Green is joined by Ashar Khan, Head of People Insights and Solution Design at Autodesk, to explore how the function evolves from delivering data to shaping choices at scale. Join this conversation as they discuss: The skills and mindsets modern people analytics teams need beyond technical expertiseWhat an effective people analytics operating model looks like in practice The core capabilities required to bridge HR technology and HR strategy Where “metric fixation” leads organisations toward false confidence and poor decisions Why the assumption that AI automatically means “fewer people” misses the bigger picture Practical advice for CHROs building or redesigning a people analytics function today This episode is sponsored by Worklytics. Todd Durkin IMPACT Show

In this episode of The Todd Durkin IMPACT SHOW Podcast, I open up the floor to YOU. This one is personal. This one is deep. And this one is EXACTLY what many of you need right now. I asked our text community for questions—and wow, you delivered. From marriage, faith, and relationships to business, leadership, mindset, marketing, productivity, and youth sports… we go there. All of it. We cover 10 real and raw questions, then I wrap it all up with a Spitting Fire message on one word that's been my February mantra: FINISH. And yes—we close with a powerful prayer you don't want to skip. What You'll Hear in This Episode: 1. 25 Years of Marriage — What Actually Makes It Work I share real talk on communication, faith, respect, working out together, and why "there are no perfect people." This sets up a deeper conversation coming next week with Melanie. 2. Building Mental Toughness in Athletes (Without Breaking Them) For coaches and parents—how to teach mindset at the high school level and why kids ages 6–7 simply need to play, compete with joy, and fall in love with the game, not the scoreboard. 3. Starting (or Restarting) a Business the RIGHT Way If I had to start over from scratch, here's exactly what I'd do: Keep the offer simple Systemize everything (systems save time, energy, and money) Reverse engineer from the end Build to scale without confusion This is straight from launching IMPACT-X Performance San Diego with zero members to a full community. 4. Dreaming Big When Others Don't "Get It" What to do when your spouse or inner circle questions your dreams—and why that resistance often has nothing to do with you. 5. God-Sized Dreams & What to Do NEXT If you've felt re-ignited to dream again, this is your roadmap: Speak it into existence Get a coach or mentor Reverse engineer the mission Take the NEXT step (not all the steps)   6. Where to Invest Your Marketing Dollars A high-level breakdown of marketing buckets: Email (non-negotiable) Podcasting & storytelling Social & paid ads Community outreach Plus, real percentages for early-stage, growing, and stable businesses. 7. Productivity, Focus & Eliminating Noise Why "focus bubbles" are a game changer—and how one 90-minute distraction-free block can radically increase your effectiveness. And after answering these powerful questions, I take a moment to bring it all home with a message that's been burning on my heart this month: FINISH. So many people are great starters, but winners are finishers. Finish the workout. Finish the project. Finish the hard conversation. Finish the calling God placed on your heart. Because momentum, confidence, and breakthroughs are all found on the other side of finishing what you started. I also close this episode with a powerful prayer—for strength, clarity, endurance, and faith—for anyone feeling tired, overwhelmed, or stuck with unfinished business. If this episode hits you where you are right now, don't just listen—take action. Share it with someone who needs encouragement, leave a review, and make sure you're subscribed so you never miss an episode. And if you're ready to go deeper, get coached, and surround yourself with the right circle, check out the links in the show notes. Let's keep showing up, keep growing, and keep making IMPACT—together.  IG: @ToddDurkin  FB: @ToddDurkinIXP @ImpactXSanDiego *** P.S. #1. Are you in my TEXT COMMUNITY? It's completely FREE and I drop motivation, wisdom, reminders, and more. Simply TEXT me at 619.304.2216 and enroll for FREE. This week I'm talking to Holly Porter about her book 'Near Death Shift : What Dying Taught Me About Life, Business, and Purpose'.When everything fell apart, grace held her together. Pedro "Pete" Mora is the founder and CEO of Fajita Pete's, a Houston-based Tex-Mex concept built around catering, delivery, and a streamlined fajita-focused menu. Born in Colombia and raised with an entrepreneurial push from his family, he opened his first full-service Mexican restaurant, Poblano's, at age 23 in 2002, discovering that guests were most excited about fajitas and off-premise catering. In 2008 he closed that restaurant and launched Fajita Pete's, reimagining the business as a compact, catering first brand that delivers fresh fajitas, tacos, and flautas directly to homes, offices, and events. A graduate of the University of Houston's entrepreneurship program, Mora has grown Fajita Pete's from a single Houston location into a fast-growing franchise recognized on lists of top emerging franchise brands, all while keeping the model intentionally simple and hospitality-driven. On this episode, Pete shares how he went from crafting tables in his garage to building a scalable restaurant system, why he believes hospitality matters more than square footage, and what he's learned about grit, franchising, and "achieving the American dream one fajita at a time." In this conversation, Ben discusses the challenges created when a new employee finds out after working a few months that the job that was described to them is different than what they are doing. Ben says this lack of clarity results in pendulum swings between rapid job expansions and mass layoffs. He also discusses how work can be better designed to be a source of dignity and purpose. Ben believes that management is about job reconfiguration in order to keep employees relevant so those employees are able to meet current and future needs at their organizations. Ben also shares his opinion on whether or not work - in an augmented world of robots and AI - should be saved. The interview finishes with a conversation about the future of work, how artificial intelligence will augment every job, and the likelihood AI and robots will be taxed in order to generate revenue to pay for universal basic income. Dr. Ben Zweig is the CEO of Revelio Labs, a workforce intelligence company that leverages the latest advances in AI research to create a universal HR database from public sources. Ben teaches courses on Data Science and The Future of Work at NYU Stern. His first book is “Job Architecture: Building a Language for Workforce Intelligence.”

What does it look like to turn an idea into a message, a message into a signature talk, and a signature talk into a published book?In this episode, I sit down with Thought Leader Academy graduate Melania Murphy to talk about her powerful journey from spark to spotlight. Over the past couple of years, I've watched Melania take a deeply personal idea and transform it into a compelling signature talk—and now, a published book. If you've ever dreamed of sharing your message on a bigger stage or turning your ideas into a book, this conversation will show you what's possible.Melania's new book, Bound by Love, Not Tradition, explores married name choices and how women can make intentional decisions that reflect their identity, values, and partnership. But this episode isn't just about names—it's about voice, courage, and claiming your message. We talk about why so many people stay stuck in the idea phase, how Melania found the confidence to speak without hiding behind slides, and how her signature talk became the blueprint for her book. IT Spending Rises but Channel Share Falls; AI Arms Race and Shrinking Jobs Impact MSPs

IT spending continues to expand, with North America projected to lead a 12.6% increase to $2.6 trillion, primarily due to hyperscaler investments in AI infrastructure. However, the proportion of technology spending funneled through channel partners is declining, now at 61% compared to over 70% four years ago, according to a survey by Omnia. This shift signals that while the market is growing, traditional margin and resale opportunities for MSPs are narrowing as vendors redirect a larger share of revenue direct while still relying on partners for implementation, support, and customer operations.Data from Salesforce underscores a near-universal trend toward partner involvement in sales, with 94% of surveyed global salespeople leveraging partners to close deals and 90% using tools to manage relationships. Despite this, Dave Sobel clarifies the distinction between involvement and compensation, highlighting that partner influence on deals does not guarantee economic participation at previous levels. These dynamics reinforce that MSPs must adapt to a reality where their role in the value chain is being separated into influence and execution, with the middle tier facing increasing pressure.Additional analysis draws attention to labor market changes and technology commoditization. U.S. job openings have fallen to their lowest point in over five years, undermining MSP growth strategies dependent on seat expansion. Simultaneously, the AI market is fragmenting at the application layer—with Google's Gemini app, Grok, and OpenAI's ChatGPT shifting market shares rapidly—while hyperscalers like Alphabet (Google) commit unprecedented capital expenditures, fueling an infrastructure arms race even as front-end AI tools become more interchangeable. The practical implication for MSPs and IT service providers is increased pressure to re-evaluate business models, operationalize AI offerings, and focus on defensible, productized services. Reliance on a single vendor or seat-based growth forecasts presents heightened risk. Successful adaptation will require a shift toward managed services around AI operations, governance, and productivity—emphasizing accountability, optionality, and measurable ROI—rather than assuming historic revenue models will persist.Three things to know today:00:00 Partners Essential to Sales but Losing Economic Share, Survey Shows05:44 US Job Market Shows Low Hiring, Low Firing Despite Falling Openings       08:00 Alphabet Plans $180B AI Capex as Gemini Hits 750M UsersThis is the Business of Tech.   Supported by: Small Biz Thoughts Community

The Founderz Lounge Episode #73 with Don Varady and Steve Bon.Don and Steve are back with another round of Business & Bullsh*t, where real entrepreneurs break down what's happening in business, what's changing in culture, and what owners need to stop whining about and start fixing. This one starts light, then gets real fast. They rip through the top menu trends shaping 2025, from boba and Dubai chocolate to Korean flavors, matcha, protein overload, pickles, and the rise of mocktails as younger consumers drink less. Then Steve pulls a weird one from CES. A lollipop that lets you “listen” to music through bone conduction while you eat it. It turns into a bigger convo about why brands have to create experiences people cannot get from a screen. From there, the episode bounces through Black Rock Coffee's aggressive growth goals and what “Barista First culture” might be doing right, then shifts into theaters reinventing themselves with premium experiences, funnels, and the push toward IMAX and 3D.But the real core of this episode is the Hot Take.“It is kind of the norm now for business owners to complain about staffing issues… When are we gonna stop using it as an excuse? And I feel like we either need to adapt or die.”They unpack why “just pay people more” is not the full answer, how expectations have shifted, why career paths matter more than ever, and what it takes to get people truly engaged. Don shares a direct strategy that has worked for him, and why ownership, not just pay, is what keeps the right people around. They wrap with a Fast Five full of one-liners, old school nostalgia, and a reminder that excuses are expensive.Tune in to hear more...Timestamps:[00:00] Trailer[01:26] Founderz RoundUp[05:39] Music-Playing Lollipop Launch[07:44] Random Bullshit[10:27] Movie Theater Industry Comeback[15:36] Founderz Hot Takes[19:37] Building Career Paths for Employees[24:19] Founderz Fast Five[28:21] Bringing Back Old TechnologyKey Takeaways:  • “It is kind of the norm now for business owners to complain about staffing issues… and I feel like we either need to adapt or die.” ~Don Varady• “The money coming in has to be greater than the money going out. That journey reshaped how our team sells, serves, and makes room for bigger opportunities.   Hit play to be challenged into a bigger perspective and a bolder level of faith, as we explore: Why perspective quietly limits income, impact, and opportunities The shift from "selling" to solving real problems for clients How letting go of familiar clients can open higher-level doors A faith-based view of grief, aging, and celebrating legacy Moving from the world's economy to God's favorite economy The teaspoon vs wheelbarrow mindset for business and money Practical declarations that align language with abundance How perspective affects marriage, happiness, and daily decisions Using faith and scripture to lead at higher levels in 2026   Be Inspired! with Daniel:  Website (Makings of a Millionaire Mindset) Website (Daniel Gomez Global) Facebook Facebook Group X Instagram LinkedIn Pinterest YouTube   Episode Highlights: 01:48 Changing Perspectives in Business  04:00 A Different Perespective to Sales: Helping Clients Solve Problems  07:19 A Different Perspective on End of Life  11:18 Expanding Perspectives in Business  15:00 Change Your Language, Change Your Life

Interview Date: December 14th, 2025.In this episode of Business of Dance, Menina sits down with veteran performer and powerhouse industry staple Sarah Mitchell, who joins the conversation nine months pregnant and still glowing (literally). Sarah takes us back to her beginnings in Western Massachusetts—starting dance at two-and-a-half, falling in love with NYC after seeing the Rockettes at age nine, and boldly moving to New York City with limited money but unstoppable determination. From becoming a Patriots cheerleader in high school (and earning a Super Bowl ring) to landing the Knicks City Dancers through a Good Morning America public vote, Sarah breaks down how dance teams can be a career-launching network, training ground, and built-in community for dancers moving to major markets.Sarah shares a full-circle story that shaped her career: after moving to LA with no plan besides “I have to be here,” she booked American Gladiators—only for the dance cast to be cut. That “loss” led directly to her booking a Jell-O commercial, meeting Jerry Slaughter, and soon finding herself dancing with Christina Aguilera—the same artist she once watched from the audience dreaming of being on stage. From there, the episode dives into Sarah's long-running work with major artists and productions, including Christina Aguilera (spanning roughly 2007/2008 to 2024), Britney Spears' Vegas residency, Burlesque, and the realities of auditioning, touring, and navigating the emotional highs and lows of a freelance performance career—especially as life expands into marriage and motherhood.Shownotes:(0:00) – Welcome(7:01) – Full intro: Sarah Mitchell's career highlights(11:40) – Early beginnings: Western MA, Rockettes inspiration(12:30) – Patriots cheerleaders, Super Bowl ring, early confidence(13:17) – Knicks City Dancers + Good Morning America vote(17:01) – Cross-country move to LA, starting from scratch(20:26) – American Gladiators canceled → pivotal career shift(22:28) – Booking Christina Aguilera through Jerry Slaughter(30:15) – Burlesque stories: doubles, endurance, golden time(50:37) – Q&A wisdom: preparation, mindset, longevity, balanceBiography:A dancer and choreographer with over 20 years of experience, Mitchell has toured and performed with artists such as Christina Aguilera, Katy Perry, Pitbull and Dua Lipa.
