Episode 369: Dr. Kelly Casperson, interviewed by Sarah Reardon What happens when a urologic surgeon who has spent years treating women's bladder and sexual health sits down to answer every question she wishes her patients had asked sooner? You get this episode. In a role reversal from her usual hosting chair, Dr. Kelly Casperson is interviewed by Sarah Reardon for a wide-ranging, myth-busting conversation on perimenopause, hormone therapy, and what it actually means to advocate for yourself in a medical system that has historically under-served women. No gatekeeping. No fear-mongering. Just the science, the nuance, and the permission to want more. Perimenopause is not just hot flashes. The hormonal shifts of perimenopause and menopause affect your bladder, your sleep, your joints, your skin, your mood, and your sex life — often years before your period stops. Kelly breaks down what's actually happening biologically and why so many women are told their symptoms are "just aging." Local estrogen and systemic HRT are not the same thing — and you may need both. Vaginal estrogen treats the tissue. Systemic hormone therapy treats the whole person. Kelly explains the difference, who benefits from each, and how to have an informed conversation with your provider about what's right for you. DHEA and testosterone belong in the conversation. These hormones are not just for men. Kelly covers the evidence for testosterone and DHEA in women's health — including delivery methods, indications, and why so many women are never offered them. Finding a knowledgeable provider is hard. Here's how to do it. Not every clinician is trained in hormone therapy. Kelly talks about how to identify providers who are, and how to self-educate enough to advocate effectively in any appointment. Gut health, exercise, and alcohol all matter — but not instead of hormones. Lifestyle strategies can amplify hormone therapy; they're not a replacement for it. Kelly cuts through the supplement noise and explains what the evidence actually supports. Gender bias is real, and naming it is the first step. From the Women's Health Initiative fallout to the way women's pain is routinely minimized, Kelly addresses the systemic forces that have shaped (and limited) what women are offered — and how to push back. Hey Heal Squad! It's Throwback Thursday and Kev is back hosting this one, and honestly, this conversation feels more important than ever. In his conversation with Dr. Joel Gator, they get into what's really going on with our kids right now, from rising chronic illness and mental health struggles to what we can actually do to start shifting things in a better direction. They talk about how health isn't just about one thing (not just food, not just exercise), but the full picture… stress, environment, toxins, sleep, family time, and the pace of life we're all trying to keep up with. Kev and Dr. Gator also get real about how modern parenting, packed schedules, processed foods, and screen time are all adding up… and why slowing down might actually be one of the most powerful things we can do. There's also a really important conversation around trusting your instincts as a parent, finding balance (instead of extremes), and focusing on what you can control, without feeling overwhelmed. Such a good reminder that the basics really do matter! One of the most common arguments you hear from company executives racing to develop super-intelligent AI is that it will cure cancer. It's an incredibly powerful and seductive promise. If superintelligent AI really can cure cancer, then anyone who stands in the way of it, anyone who wants to slow it down — even because of its serious risks — is essentially letting people die. In fact, the biggest risk would be going too slowly. But what if a superintelligent AI isn't actually capable of solving cancer in the way it's been described? What if we're being sold a false promise to justify a dangerous race? That's exactly what our guest this week argues is happening. Dr. Emilia Javorsky is a physician, public health researcher, and director of the Futures Program at the Future of Life Institute. She's worked across scientific research, clinical trials, tech startups, and AI policy. Emilia recently wrote a paper titled “How AI Can and Can't Cure Cancer,” in which she argues that the promise of superintelligence curing cancer falls apart under scrutiny. Emilia lost a parent to cancer, so her criticism of this promise comes from a place of real concern, not cynicism. It also comes from her belief that AI can be really revolutionary for medicine, if we build it the right way. Your Undivided Attention is produced by the Center for Humane Technology. However, this paper does not include any methodology for arriving at this claim. Emilia stated that we have yet to cure any complex, chronic disease in humans. However, we have been able to cure Hepatitis C, which is considered a complex infectious disease, and we have managed to effectively cure some types of Leukemia Correction: Tristan incorrectly paraphrased a quote from Charlie Munger about incentives. The actual quote is “The basic rule of incentives is you get what you were owed for. So if you have a dumb incentive system, you get dumb outcomes." Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. This episode is brought to you by Fatty15, Audible, and Strong Coffee Company. Most women are told their fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, and poor sleep in midlife are just "normal aging"—but this episode exposes the real root cause: a breakdown in the gut-hormone connection driven by declining estrogen, chronic stress, and a disrupted microbiome. Cynthia Thurlow reveals how these hidden internal shifts create inflammation, metabolic dysfunction, and hormonal chaos—and why traditional approaches often fail to fix it. More importantly, she explains how to reverse the trajectory by addressing the true drivers: gut health, sleep quality, and stress resilience. If you've been doing "all the right things" and still feel off, this conversation reframes the problem—and gives you a path forward rooted in biology, not guesswork. IN THIS EPISODE YOU WILL LEARN: How hormonal shifts in perimenopause and menopause directly alter the gut microbiome, increasing inflammation and impacting metabolism Why sleep is the #1 foundational habit for improving hormones, gut health, and overall energy in midlife The surprising role of chronic stress, trauma, and even toxic relationships in damaging gut health and accelerating aging How simple nutrition shifts—like increasing fiber and supporting detox pathways—can rapidly improve your microbiome Why "surrendering" your old health strategies is essential to thriving in this new phase of life Follow Cynthia @cynthia_thurlow_ Follow Chase @chase_chewning ----- 00:00 – Intro & Why the Microbiome Matters 00:02 – The "Virtual Organ" Explained (40 Trillion Microbes) 00:05 – Why Gut Health Is Overlooked in Women's Health 00:06 – Hormones, Neurotransmitters & Whole-Body Impact 00:12 – Why the Microbiome Is Key to Longevity 00:13 – Gut Changes During Perimenopause & Menopause 00:16 – Immune System Aging, Inflammation & Autoimmunity 00:18 – Leaky Gut, Nutrient Absorption & Food Sensitivities 00:20 – Real-Life Symptoms: Fatigue, Brain Fog & Bloating 00:21 – The Hidden Impact of Stress & Trauma on the Gut 00:26 – The Estrobolome: Estrogen & Gut Detox Explained 00:30 – Common Symptoms of Hormonal Imbalance 00:33 – Where Women Should Start (The Roadmap) 00:40 – Why Sleep Is the First Thing to Fix 00:44 – The Power of Mindset & "Surrender" 00:49 – Can You Repair Your Microbiome? 00:50 – Fiber: The Most Underrated Health Tool 00:53 – Best Foods for Gut Health 00:54 – Sleep, Hormones & the Microbiome Connection 01:00 – Digestive Rest vs Fasting 01:03 – The #1 Sleep Habit That Improves Everything 01:05 – Alcohol, Food Timing & Sleep Disruption 01:06 – Stress, Hormones & Nervous System Overload 01:08 – Rethinking Exercise in Midlife 01:10 – Why Walking Is So Powerful 01:12 – Most Surprising Research: Trauma & Aging 01:16 – Generational Health & Epigenetics 01:17 – What "Ever Forward" Means ----- Episode resources: Save 15% on coffee with code CHASE at https://www.StrongCoffeeCompany.com/chase Save an extra 15% on C15:0 essential fatty acid with code EVERFORWARD at https://www.Fatty15.com/everforward Get a FREE trial month of my favorite audio book platform at https://www.AudibleTrial.com/everforward Watch and subscribe on YouTube Get her new book The Menopause Gut
Dane Wigington, founder of Geoengineering Watch, returns to discuss the most critical threat facing humanity: stratospheric aerosol injection and covert weather modification operations occurring globally. Throughout the interview, Wigington presents evidence that 40 to 60 million tons of toxic nanoparticles are being sprayed annually into the atmosphere under the guise of solar radiation management. He explains how these aerosol dispersions, which can be observed as grid patterns in the sky, contain harmful materials including aluminum and manufactured particles that have been independently tested and documented. Wigington emphasizes that this is not speculation but rather patented technology being deployed systematically, with photographic evidence of aircraft equipped with visible nozzles and scientific confirmation from atmospheric sampling conducted at altitude. The conversation expands into the broader consequences of these operations, including their role in ecological collapse, weather warfare capabilities, and deliberate perception management that labels legitimate concerns as conspiracy theory. Wigington highlights the cascading failures of Earth's life support systems: plankton populations down 90 percent, bee colonies collapsing by 70 percent, fish populations decimated, and tree cover reduced to one third of pre-civilization levels. He discusses HAARP and ionosphere heaters as amplifying weapons that can manipulate weather patterns and potentially trigger seismic events, while urging listeners to move beyond political divisions and recognize this as a species-level threat requiring immediate collective action and awareness. Main Points Covered: Stratospheric aerosol injection as documented geoengineering operation Aluminum and toxic nanoparticles in atmospheric dispersions HAARP as ionosphere heating weapon for weather manipulation Insect apocalypse and plankton population collapse Suppression of climate engineering information Legislative barriers and government denial Health implications of atmospheric contamination Perceived connection between geoengineering and ecological degradation Call for public awareness and individual action SEO Keywords: Geoengineering, chemtrails, stratospheric aerosol injection, weather modification, HAARP, Dane Wigington, weather warfare, climate engineering, atmospheric contamination, environmental collapse

In 2024, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was a presidential hopeful running under the banner of “making America healthy again.”Among his most fervent supporters: vaccine skeptics and cynics, nutrition-focused parents and anti-pesticide activists. After dropping out of the presidential contest and endorsing Donald Trump, Kennedy emerged as the president's foremost pick to lead the Department of Health and Human Services. Now, many in the so-called “MAHA coalition” are disappointed with Secretary Kennedy for what they describe as a failure to deliver key reforms to the nation's health and food systems. And, we discuss what the rise in measles and other infectious diseases means about the state of our public health. Secretary Kennedy has repeatedly downplayed recent measles outbreaks and given deeply mixed messages on vaccination.Find more of our programs online. Sarah hosts Jamie Glowacki on the Evolving Wellness Podcast to discuss how Jamie's background as a social worker led to her potty-training work, including the origin and growth of her “Oh Crap Potty Training” book and classes. They explore how parenting pressures and overwhelming information have intensified for modern moms, shifting Jamie's focus toward supporting mothers' well-being. The conversation turns to aging, perimenopause, and menopause, with Jamie describing a symptom-free transition and arguing that perimenopause can be a “report card” on health, emphasizing strength training, adequate dietary fat, and reducing endocrine disruptors. They also critique trendy, scripted health messaging—especially around HRT and telehealth—while acknowledging HRT can help some women. Additional topics include circadian eating, avoiding constant snacking, balancing seasonal/local foods, and simplifying family life to reduce stress.— Links Mentioned in the video:https://www.instagram.com/jamie.glowacki/?hl=en https://linktr.ee/jamieglowacki _________Sponsored By:→ VivaRays | This episode is sponsored by VivaRays - VivaRays Blue - code YOGI https://vivarays.com/→ Toups & Co Organics | Ready to give Toups a try? I want to alert you, so you don’t miss out on expert analysis and insider perspectives from my guests who provide tips that can help you uplift the community, improve your financial planning, motivation, or advice on how to be a successful entrepreneur. Keep winning! Two-time Emmy and Three-time NAACP Image Award-winning, television Executive Producer Rushion McDonald interviewed Dr. Kurt Jones. Purpose of the Interview The conversation aims to highlight the importance of mental health and wellness, particularly in the Black community, elite sports, and entrepreneurial spaces. It focuses on mental resilience, confidence building, and strategies for handling stress and setbacks, while introducing Dr. Jones’ methodology and his mission through Play 21 Wellness Academy. Key Takeaways Mental Health in the Black Community Historically stigmatized; seen as weakness or negativity. Today, awareness is improving, but significant work remains. Customized Approach Dr. Jones does individualized analysis and treatment plans for athletes and business professionals. Rejects “cookie-cutter” solutions—tailors strategies to personal circumstances. The Shelving Method A mental organization system with four shelves: Immediate Shelf: Urgent tasks within 24 hours. Active Shelf: Important but less urgent tasks. Holding Shelf: Items to revisit later. Elimination Shelf: Thoughts/tasks to discard permanently. Helps clients focus on the present and avoid dwelling on past mistakes. Confidence & Setbacks Confidence can collapse after major losses or failures. Strategy: Remind clients of their greatness, review past successes, and rebuild momentum. Consistency and adaptability are key to sustaining success. Play 21 Wellness Academy Founded in memory of Ben Wilson, a top basketball player and Dr. Jones’ best friend. Mission: Support youth athletes, address issues like parent/teacher abuse, and provide mental health resources. Operates as both a nonprofit and for-profit entity. Broader Client Base Works with elite athletes, entrepreneurs, and high-level professionals. Mental clarity and emotional control are critical for success in any field. Health & Balance Encourages regular medical checkups, stress management, and work-life balance. Advocates for self-reward and stepping out of comfort zones while maintaining wellness. Upcoming Projects Book: Chi-Town Blueprints (personal story and mental resilience). Workbook on the Shelving Method for schools, universities, and professionals. Notable Quotes On Mental Health Stigma:“When people talked about mental health, the first thought was negative.” On Focus:“You can’t take the last play to the next play.” On Success:“Mental thinking is a huge part of success.” On Confidence:“Remind yourself of what got you to the point where you were winning.” On Consistency:“You’ve never seen a Brinks truck behind a funeral car—the graveyard is the richest place because people die with million-dollar dreams.” On Purpose:“Walk in your purpose. When you walk in your purpose, there’s no stopping you.” #SHMS #STRAW #BESTSteve Harvey Morning Show Online: http://www.steveharveyfm.com/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

A gay man's female friend is planning her wedding. But the relationship is already a disaster, and the caller does NOT approve of this union. Should he still help her choose a wedding dress? A bi man got into a cat fight with a guy on one of the hook-up apps when he wasn't polite enough about ending a conversation. Is there a social contract on gay hook-up apps? On the Magnum, Dan chats with Dr. Jennie Young, author of Burn the Haystack: Decode Dating, Torch the Duds, and Make Room for Men Who Matter. Her feminist, pragmatic approach to dating for straight women is blunt and hilarious. She talks about her method for brutally winnowing down the list of men, how dating apps are addictive by design, and (counterintuitively,) why the man should plan the first date. Don't miss this one! And, a man asks for logistical advice on how to plan the abduction scene his wife desires. What could possibly go wrong?
