On December 20th, 2022, a doctor at Women and Infants Hospital in Providence looked at Lindsay Clancy's medication list and decided she was too medicated to safely enter their postpartum program. That doctor picked up a phone and called the nurse practitioner prescribing them. Nobody answered. Nobody called back. Thirty-five days later her three children were dead.Today that nurse practitioner testified, and Kevin Reddington read her the note.Day 11 in Plymouth Superior Court, on what happened to be Lindsay Clancy's 36th birthday. Julie Paul retook the stand and got a one-minute cross that was more devastating than any of the grillings that came before it. Rebecca Jollotta, the psychiatric nurse practitioner who inherited Clancy's care in November 2022, spent nearly the entire day answering for a treatment record she only ever saw a fraction of. And before the jury walked in, Judge William Sullivan heard argument on whether a former McLean Hospital social worker who posted about the trial on TikTok can testify about holiday staffing on a psychiatric unit.I go through the MyChart messages Clancy sent her provider in December, in her own words, in real time. I go through the bipolar question and the 5K that nobody knew about. And I get into the detail nobody else is covering: Jollotta could not get her patient's psychiatrist notes, could not get the McLean records, and did not know about fourteen psychiatric appointments, but she could pull every controlled substance Clancy had ever been dispensed in Massachusetts in about ninety seconds. We built one interoperable health database in this country. We built the one that watches you. Also in here: why blaming HIPAA for this is a myth, with the actual regulation cited. Why there are five inpatient perinatal psychiatric programs in the entire United States and forty-five states have none. And why every provider on that witness stand is also a defendant in a civil suit over the same care.***This episode is not editedBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/we-saw-the-devil-unfiltered-political-analysis--4433638/support.Website: http://www.wesawthedevil.comPatreon: http://www.patreon.com/wesawthedevilRobin's Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/robin_wstdTwitter: http://www.twitter.com/WeSawtheDevilInstagram: http://www.instagram.com/wesawthedevilpodcast.TikTok: tiktok.com/@wesawthedevilpolitics

SEASON 8 STARTS NEXT WEEK! In our final replay episode of Season 7, we revisit our conversation with actress and advocate Elizabeth Perkins. Elizabeth shares her personal experiences with reinvention, motherhood, menopause, women's health, and the freedom that comes from finally putting yourself first. After four decades as an actress and nearly four decades as a mother and caretaker, Elizabeth explains why she ultimately left Los Angeles and moved across the country to Western Massachusetts. She describes the liberating experience of driving cross-country alone, building a close-knit community, reconnecting with creativity, and creating a dedicated art studio for her mixed-media collage work. Elizabeth also speaks candidly about what it means to enter a new chapter of life after raising children and caring for aging parents. She reflects on the pressure women face to remain caretakers, the guilt that can accompany putting yourself first, and why the years after 60 can become an opportunity for profound reinvention rather than a period of slowing down. Elizabeth recounts years of being dismissed while experiencing severe symptoms, ultimately discovering dangerously high blood glucose and being diagnosed with late-onset autoimmune diabetes shortly before undergoing a full hysterectomy. She also discusses the challenges of navigating menopause and surgical menopause, the importance of listening to women's symptoms, and the need for better research, education, and individualized healthcare. This episode is ultimately about finding your voice, reclaiming your identity, embracing creativity, building community, and giving yourself permission to dream again.

Our metabolism is the core to our health, balancing everyday building (anabolism) with the breakdown of cells (catabolism). In our 21st-century toxic food environment, many of us are now living with metabolic dysfunction and chronic diseases that result: high blood pressure, obesity, insulin resistance, diabetes, infertility, autoimmune illnesses, mental illnesses and cancer. These chronic diseases are not cured, but rather “managed” with medications, often for the rest of our lives.Metabolic coaching focuses on root cause healing to address and reverse chronic illnesses, empowering patients to improve their health by addressing lifestyle issues.Find Dr. Jocelyn Foran at-https://www.metabolicmedical.ca/aboutIG- @MetabolicMedicalFB- @Metabolic MedicalFind Boundless Body at-myboundlessbody.comBook a session with us here!

Keep winning! Two-time Emmy and Three-time NAACP Image Award-winning television Executive Producer Rushion McDonald interviews Jackson Dunbar. Entrepreneur, author, and chronic pain advocate, joined Rushion McDonald to discuss his book Race Matters in Pain Medicine, his experience living with chronic pain following a serious car accident and failed back surgery, and the lessons he learned about resilience, health, and financial success. The conversation combines personal testimony, healthcare advocacy, and practical strategies for overcoming adversity. Dunbar shared how chronic pain dramatically changed his life but ultimately pushed him to develop new approaches to physical health, financial stability, and personal growth. His story demonstrates how determination, self-education, and adaptability can help individuals thrive despite significant challenges. Purpose of the Interview The interview aimed to: Discuss Dunbar's book Race Matters in Pain Medicine. Raise awareness about disparities in pain management and healthcare treatment. Share his experience navigating chronic pain and recovery. Inspire people facing personal, health, or professional setbacks. Encourage financial literacy, self-help, and personal accountability. Provide practical strategies for creating success under difficult circumstances. Key Takeaways 1. Resilience Is a Choice Dunbar emphasizes that while people cannot always control what happens to them, they can control how they respond. Rather than focusing on what he lost, he concentrated on what he could still accomplish. 2. Create a New Normal A central theme of the discussion is that recovery does not always mean returning to life exactly as it was before. Success often comes from adapting and building a sustainable new reality. 3. Race Matters in Healthcare Dunbar highlights disparities in pain treatment and argues that race can influence how patients are treated, diagnosed, and prescribed medication. His book explores these inequities and their consequences. 4. Chronic Pain Affects Every Aspect of Life Pain impacts more than physical health. It affects emotional well-being, family relationships, work performance, finances, and overall quality of life. 5. Self-Advocacy Is Essential Patients must become informed participants in their own healthcare. Dunbar encourages people to ask questions, seek information, and actively engage in treatment decisions. 6. Financial Education Creates Opportunity Dunbar believes financial literacy is a critical life skill. He encourages continuous learning about investing, wealth creation, and economic trends regardless of one's circumstances. 7. Health and Wealth Are Connected His journey demonstrates that improving health and improving finances can occur simultaneously through discipline, education, and consistent effort. 8. Apply Business Thinking to Personal Challenges Dunbar credits much of his success to using a solutions-focused, analytical approach to managing his health, finances, and personal goals. Memorable Quotes "If you're about to make a change in your life and you feel uncomfortable, that's the best feeling you can have because for the first time in your life, you'll make a decision that's going to be best for you." "I made money, lost 90 pounds, and thrived in chronic pain." "Race matters in pain medicine." "A strong believer in self-help, Jackson Dunbar applied solutions-focused business logic to his own health." Bottom Line The interview is a powerful discussion about overcoming adversity through resilience, self-advocacy, financial literacy, and personal responsibility. Jackson Dunbar's message is that while chronic pain and life-changing setbacks may alter a person's path, they do not have to define their future. It's primary day in four states across the U.S., along with a special election in a fifth. The lineup includes contests in Connecticut, Vermont, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Plus, South Carolina's special primary for the U.S. Senate. Following a string of progressive Democratic victories earlier this year, Wisconsin's Democratic gubernatorial primary is the race to watch. FOX News Decision Desk Director Arnon Mishkin joins the Rundown to break down key matchups, discuss whether progressives and Democratic Socialists will maintain their momentum, and analyze what lies ahead for South Carolina following the death of Senator Lindsey Graham. The Trump administration is taking aim at what it calls a major blind spot in America's food supply, proposing new requirements for companies to disclose chemicals added to their products. The move comes as Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. pushes to establish a formal definition for ultra-processed foods. HHS advisor and author Calley Means joins the Rundown to explain why the administration says greater transparency is needed and what these proposed changes could mean for the food Americans eat every day. By creating a new normal, staying informed, and focusing on solutions, individuals can continue to grow, succeed, and make a positive impact on others. #SHMS #BEST #STRAW Money Making Conversations Master Class with Rushion McDonald is America's premier entrepreneurship, business leadership, financial literacy, and wealth-building podcast featuring successful entrepreneurs, executives, founders, celebrities, and industry experts sharing actionable insights for professional and financial success. It's Tuesday, August 11th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson and Timothy Reed Canada euthanized Christian grandmother against her will The nation of Canada continues down the dark path of euthanasia. This time, comes this shocking story, where the state euthanized Brigitte Stegemann, an 83-year-old Christian grandmother, against her will and the will of her family. On the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition blog, her granddaughter said,  “One of our greatest ethical concerns is that GG had explicitly declined [Medical Assistance in Dying], stating it violated her Christian faith. Once a vulnerable patient explicitly declines this path, the facility should never have targeted her for re-evaluation behind closed doors while her primary advocate was away.” More than 5% of all deaths in Canada are attributed to Medical Assistance in Dying. It is the fifth leading cause of death there. Psalm 94:4 and 6 cries out: “How long shall they utter and speak hard things and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves? … They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.” Severe drought in Europe and blazing hot July in America God has brought a severe drought on Europe. Since 1836, the month of July was the driest for England and Wales in recorded history, reports Reuters. Similarly, the United States experienced the hottest July since 1895.  Also, March 2026 was the hottest March ever — 9.4° above the 20th-century average. Ukraine drone attack killed 13 Russians, injured 75 Ukraine's drone attack on Russia's oil hub killed 13 citizens and wounded another 75 over the weekend, reports PBS.  Russia says they shut down 450 drones. In addition, Russia killed 21 people in Kyiv in this ongoing drone-based tit-for-tat warfare. The changing military alliances overseas Internationally, nations are lining up in allied positions. Just last week, Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia signed a pact, in which all three nations agreed that an attack on any of the three nations would be taken as an attack on all. Pakistan's relationship with China has also warmed up considerably.   China supplies Pakistan's military weaponry and Pakistan strongly supports Beijing on Taiwan, Xinjiang, Tibet, Hong Kong, and the South China Sea. If we include China's growing relationship with Russia, this axis of powers now holds 6,100 nuclear warheads in total, almost exactly the same number held by the allied powers of the United States, the United Kingdom, France, India, and Israel.  Keep in mind: God is over all the armies of the Earth. Isaiah 13:4–5 states that “The LORD of hosts musters the army for battle. They come from a far country, from the end of Heaven, the LORD and His weapons of indignation, to destroy the whole land.” Columbia hit by major earthquake Another devastating earthquake hit Colombia yesterday morning, killing 111 people, reports the Associated Press. It was 7.4 on the Richter scale. This follows another 7.5 earthquake in Venezuela a few weeks ago, that killed 5,000 people. Colombia produces 80% of the world's cocaine.  However, Friday marked the first day in office for Colombia's new president —  Abelardo de la Espriella. He is an admirer of President Donald Trump and had promised an "all-out war" on the drug cartels. South America has swung to the right over the last few years. Now eight countries are led by presidents who would align more with President Donald Trump. Only three South American nations are led by presidents that bend towards the left including Brazil, Bolivia and Venezuela. Two-thirds of Americans support the death penalty Pew Research has found that Americans favor the use of the death penalty for murder convictions, in line with Genesis 9:6.   A full two-thirds of Americans say they favor the death penalty, and only 32% oppose it.  The numbers have remained about the same for the last seven years. Yet, in the first half of 2026, capital juries chose not to execute the murderer at least 19 times, more often than to execute. Murders in America average 15,000 per year, yet on average, only 23 murderers are put to death.  That's one-tenth of one percent!  And this year, only 19 murderers have received the death penalty.  Genesis 9:6 says, “Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in His own image.” Network for Hope shut down for its immoral organ donor system The Department of Health and Human Services has decertified Network for Hope, an organ transplant organization that was exposed for unsafe and immoral practices. Heidi Klessig of Life Site News explained, “Removing Network for Hope's certification was absolutely necessary, but will not address the most pressing problem underlying our current organ donation system: organ donors must be biologically alive in order to donate viable organs.” Attorney General Todd Blanche eager to end mail-order abortions And finally, newly appointed Attorney General Todd Blanche has pledged to work towards solidifying pro-life gains across the country, as well as to end mail-order abortions. Not surprisingly, all Democrats voted against Blanche's nomination.   According to Americans United for Life, “Through his statements and actions as Acting Attorney General, Mr. Blanche has shown himself to be a sincere advocate for human life and a faithful servant of President Trump's pro-life agenda.”  And Blanche himself has stated, “If states have said, ‘We are going to protect the unborn and we're going to protect every life from the moment of conception,' we're putting practices and policies in place so that other states and other organizations can't attack that. They can't do things like they're doing with mailing in mail-order drugs.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Tuesday, August 11th, in the year of our Lord 2026. Environmental and wellness expert Helen Christoni discusses reducing toxic exposures at home through improved indoor air and water quality. Christoni describes her health crisis—severe osteoporosis at 42 and multiple fractures—which she attributes to chronic artificial fragrance exposure in beauty product development, and how purifying air and water helped her recover and later complete multiple marathons. They discuss indoor air hazards such as VOCs (including formaldehyde), microplastics, wildfire smoke particles, and the importance of using a sealed, high-grade HEPA (down to 0.003 microns) plus substantial carbon filtration, proper room sizing, and filter maintenance; they caution against relying on ionizers or UV add-ons. On water, Christoni urges reverse osmosis to address contaminants including lead, PFAS, pharmaceuticals, and arsenic, noting boiling concentrates pollutants; they also discuss shower filtration for chlorine/chloramines. Devin: What is your superpower?Emily: So I think— I, I don't— it's hard for me to boil it down to just one, but I would simply say my superpower is really rooted in connecting dots. And so seeing things that others may not see because I'm able to put the dots together.Food as medicine can move from a hopeful idea to a scalable health care solution when the people closest to the problem build the system. That is the lesson I heard from Emily Brown, founder of Attane Health and now Chief Healthcare Officer at Sifter Solutions after Attane's acquisition. Emily's work began not with a business plan but with her daughter's diagnosis and a family grocery budget that suddenly could not keep up.“It all started with lived experience, my family's own personal experience with food insecurity and just the need to have specific foods to support my daughter's health,” Emily told me. “We were on WIC, SNAP. I'm actually a former Medicaid recipient.”That experience revealed a gap in health care that millions of families know too well. Doctors can diagnose food-related conditions but families are often left alone to figure out how to pay for and prepare the foods that could help them heal.Emily first responded by founding a nonprofit that helped get special dietary foods into food banks and pantries. Under her leadership, the organization launched one of the first food prescription programs in Kansas, serving clients who had prescription diet orders from physicians.Over time, Emily saw that charity alone could not solve the problem at national scale. Health care needed the tools, data and infrastructure to make food and nutrition care part of routine delivery.“I knew that technology was gonna be really important to scaling our work,” she said. “So I left the nonprofit, started what became Attane, really to develop the technology and the infrastructure to do food and nutrition care at scale.”Attane Health now works as the health care arm of Sifter Solutions, partnering with health plans, pharmacy benefits and health systems to expand access to nutrient-dense foods, education and measurable outcomes. Emily pointed to high-risk maternal health as one powerful example, where better nutrition can support mothers facing gestational diabetes or preeclampsia while helping reduce risks for babies. Her message is practical and hopeful. Food is not a side issue in health care. For millions of people living with chronic conditions, food is part of the standard of care. Emily is helping build the bridge so patients can actually access it.tl;dr:This episode shows how lived experience can spark scalable health care innovation.Emily Brown built Attane Health to make food and nutrition care accessible.Attane Health now grows through Sifter Solutions after a strategic acquisition.Emily explains why storytelling helps turn hidden health challenges into action. This article highlights practical ways to develop the superpower of connecting dots. How to Develop Connecting Dots As a SuperpowerEmily describes her superpower as “connecting dots” and “being able to tell that story.” She sees things others may miss because she can “put the dots together,” then frame the insight in a way that helps others act. She said, “The power of storytelling is really significant because we learn through stories, we connect through story.” That combination has helped her move from being a mother on Medicaid facing food insecurity to becoming a venture-backed founder building solutions for families like hers.Emily's superpower became visible when her daughter received a diagnosis that required a gluten-free diet. Overnight, Emily looked in her pantry and realized many of the foods her family relied on were no longer safe. Her grocery budget quadrupled while her resources shrank. Instead of accepting a system that paid only for clinic care, she began identifying every point of friction. That led her to start a nonprofit, create food prescription programs, advocate before federal agencies and eventually build Attane Health to integrate food and nutrition care into health care at scale.Frame your challenges as opportunities for growth, connection and innovation.Ask what is missing from the data before assuming the data tells the whole story.Look for the friction points hiding in plain sight and treat them as places to build solutions.Bring others with you by using stories from data, patients and partners.Be patient when building disruptive solutions because meaningful change often takes time.By following Emily's example and advice, you can make connecting dots a skill. With practice and effort, you could make it a superpower that enables you to do more good in the world.Remember, however, that research into success suggests that building on your own superpowers is more important than creating new ones or overcoming weaknesses. You do you!Guest ProfileEmily Brown (she/her):Founder of Attane Health, Chief Healthcare Officer at Sifter Solutions, Attane Health, Now a Sifter Solutions CompanyAbout Attane Health: To improve health through food and nutrition care by providing access to health foods, education, and actionable data.Website: attane-health.com, siftersolutions.comCompany Facebook Page: facebook.com/attanehealthBiographical Information: Emily is the Co-founder of Attane Health and Chief Healthcare Officer of Sifter Solutions, a digital health company in the “food is medicine” space.
