Episode Summary Hello Beautiful Souls! I love you so much! Welcome to the Angels and Awakening Podcast, Pray and Be Wealthy series. I'm your host and author, Julie Jancius, here to uplift, inspire, and help you give yourself permission to be blessed beyond your wildest imagination. In this episode, we are shifting our energetic frequency to recognize a profound truth: You are a magnet for miracles. Many of us have been conditioned to "hunt" for success, but a magnet doesn't shout—it is silent. By quieting the mental chatter and returning to the present moment, you activate your natural design to receive the bounty of Heaven. We're diving deep into the "What Ifs" that expand your capacity: What if every challenge is actually a "setup" for a miracle? What if you don't have to generate your own power, but simply plug into the Source of all light? Join me as we breathe in miracles and give ourselves the courageous "Yes" required to step into the abundance God has already created for us. Key Spiritual Takeaways & Divine Truths: The Magnetic Design: You don't have to "do" anything to be magnetic; you just have to "be." The bounty of the universe is already rushing toward you. The Power of Now: Magnetism only happens in the "now." You cannot be magnetic in the past or the future. Presence is your power. Shifting the Lens: Train your mind to stop looking for "what's wrong" and start looking for "what's possible." Intuition as a Compass: Miracles begin when you go inside. Your intuition is the direct map to the blessings intended for your life. Collective Blessing: Your magnetism doesn't just benefit you—it affects the field of everyone around you. When you are blessed, the world is blessed. Soul Affirmations for Receiving: My intuition is the compass that leads me to my miracles. I don't have to chase what was created for me; I simply have to stay open. I give myself permission to be blessed beyond my imagination. I am safe in my abundance; I am safe in my joy. This is the fourth live Q&A from the Jesus and Galilee class with John Dominic Crossan — recorded, appropriately, on St. Patrick's Day, which means Dom is operating with a slight green halo and absolutely zero intention of slowing down. The questions this week go deep into parable theory: what it actually means for a parable to "point elsewhere," why the Parable of the Sower is not about sowing, what the Parable of the Vineyard Workers is doing to anyone in the crowd who has ever stood all day looking for work and been blamed for standing there, and why Luke's version of the Good Samaritan is both right and a domestication of something far more dangerous. Dom takes apart the three sub-genres — riddle, example, and challenge parables — shows how the tradition keeps sliding one into another, and makes the case that Job, Ruth, and Jonah are all challenge parables of the Hebrew Bible aimed at blowing up the certainties of post-exilic restoration theology. There's a devastating reading of the Eucharist as a public political declaration that you are willing to die for what Jesus died for, a meditation on why comic eschatology is the first great act of resistance against autocracy, and a moment where Dom explains why he became an American citizen in 2000 — and it will not surprise you. If you want to hear all four lectures behind these Q&As and send in your own questions for our final session, head over to crossanclass.com — you can join for whatever you can give, including zero. In this episode, I'm celebrating episode 300 of the podcast and taking a moment to reflect on the journey that got me here. I share how this all began, from recording episode one of the first time I connected with spirit, and what this path has looked like behind the scenes over the years. This episode walks through the moments that shaped not only this podcast, but also my work and the way I show up today. It brought up more emotion than I expected and feels like a true full circle moment. I also share what I'm most proud of when I look back on reaching 300 episodes and everything it took to stay consistent, grow, and continue showing up on this podcast over the last almost 7 years. In the second half of the episode, I answer a series of questions submitted on Instagram. I speak into topics like whether the future is predetermined, how to tell the difference between intuitive information and your own thoughts, and the biggest tip I would give someone developing their mediumship. I also talk about what I personally see and experience in my work, including whether I see auras or anything connected to nature, and how Reiki supported the development of my mediumship. I answer questions around whether devices like an Apple Watch or Oura Ring affect energy work, whether spirit communication is always loving or can come from a place of ego or separation, and what it means when spirit begins to come through during Reiki sessions. I also share my process for energetically "turning off" when I'm in crowds, reference earlier podcast episodes (50 and 70) where I talk about the eggshell analogy, and speak to the idea of identifying what kind of intuitive or "woo-woo" person you might be. Whether you've been here since the beginning or you're just finding the podcast now, thank you for being part of this. Episode 300 feels like a moment to pause, reflect, and take it all in. Life After Being a Cop: Recovering from Trauma. After 30 years of law enforcement, he thought he had retired unscathed. A veteran of the Suffolk County Police Department and the Atlanta Police Department, he spent decades responding to emergencies, witnessing trauma, and putting his life on the line. Yet even after leaving the force, the weight of his experiences lingered. The Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast social media like their Facebook , Instagram , LinkedIn , Medium and other social media platforms. Mike Morgan is our guest. “I thought I was done with all the trauma,” Mike says. “I thought I got out unscathed. But it all started catching up with me after retirement, especially that call about the 2-year-old child who drowned.” The Podcast is available for free on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast website, also on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube and most major podcast platforms. A Life-Altering Call The call that shook Mike the most involved a young child who had drowned. He was able to save the child, but the emotional impact stayed with him. As he explains, “Saving that child was one of the most rewarding things I've done, but it also brought back all the other moments in my career that I hadn't fully processed.” Life After Being a Cop: Recovering from Trauma. Supporting articles about this and much more from Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast in platforms like Medium , Blogspot and Linkedin . Drowning remains a leading risk for children under 5. According to recent studies: 87% of drowning fatalities occur in home pools or hot tubs, often when children sneak outside unattended. Highest risk group: Children aged 1–4, with backyard pools as the primary location for fatal drownings. Silent danger: Drowning is fast and silent, rarely involving splashing or screaming. Mike emphasizes, “Swimming pools may look safe, but kids can slip away in seconds. Even the most attentive parent can't always see it happen.” The episode is available across major platforms including their website, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, with highlights shared across their Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn profiles. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) studied drownings among children age 4 and under in Arizona, California, and Florida, where pools are common. It found nearly 70% of children were not expected to be in the water, and 46% were last seen inside the house. Essential safety measures include four-sided fencing, pool alarms, locked doors, and constant adult supervision. Life After Being a Cop: Recovering from Trauma. Recognizing PTSD Even after retirement, Mike realized he was struggling with symptoms of PTSD. “I was listening to a podcast one day and thought, ‘This is me,'” he says. “I was having everything the experts describe, but I hadn't acknowledged it yet.” Police officers face a particularly high risk of PTSD due to frequent exposure to traumatic events. Studies estimate prevalence rates up to 20%, roughly double that of the general population. Symptoms often stem from cumulative stress, fatal accidents, officer-involved shootings, and repeated exposure to violence, leading to flashbacks, insomnia, and even suicidal thoughts. Available for free on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast website, also on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Youtube and most major Podcast networks. As Mike explains, “It's not always one single traumatic event. It's the buildup over time, the constant stress, the repeated exposure to tragedy. That's what hits you when you retire and finally have time to think.” Life After Being a Cop: Recovering from Trauma. Key facts from research: Police Officers experience an average of 3.5 traumatic incidents every six months. One in seven officers worldwide suffers from PTSD or depression, with 15–18% meeting diagnostic criteria. Stressors include violent incidents, exposure to death, and organizational pressures. Symptoms and Behavioral Impacts PTSD can affect every aspect of life: Physical: Fatigue, insomnia, chest pain, nausea Emotional & Behavioral: Anxiety, withdrawal, paranoia, rage, increased substance use Job Impact: Poor performance, missed work, strained family relationships “PTSD isn't just a badge issue,” Mike says. “It follows you home. It affects your health, your family, and your ability to enjoy life after the force.” Life After Being a Cop: Recovering from Trauma. Look for The Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast on social media like their Facebook , Instagram , LinkedIn , Medium and other social media platforms. Recovery and Support Mike credits therapy, medicine, peer support, and community for helping him recover. Evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy are highly effective. Departments that promote open discussions and mental health support can reduce the stigma and help officers seek treatment. Now living in Florida He shares his journey on The Resilient Warrior podcast and the book he wrote titled The Resilient Warrior. “The podcast is my way of giving back and showing other officers and anyone struggling with trauma, that recovery is possible,” he says. The modern marketing organization is not a factory that produces campaigns; it is a Decision Factory that produces choices. In this episode, legendary strategist Roger Martin returns to explain why his 20-year-old "Knowledge Funnel" is more relevant in 2026 than ever before. As AI commoditizes the "mode" (the average), the role of the marketer must shift from executing tasks to solving mysteries and developing heuristics. If you are using AI to do your job faster, you are likely just making yourself easier to replace. To survive, you must learn to use AI as an "interlocutor" that frees you to do the one thing AI cannot: reflect.Key TakeawaysThe Wage Bill Reality: Knowledge workers now represent nearly half the workforce but over 70% of the wage bill, making the efficiency of the "Decision Factory" the single biggest management challenge of the century.AI is a Mode-Seeker: AI is mathematically designed to find the mode—the most frequent, average response. It will give you the "standard" approach faster than any human, but it cannot give you the "best" or "unique" approach. The Reflection Gap: In a study of "best and brightest" consultants, less than 1% actually practiced reflection on their work. This lack of "intellectual curiosity" is what makes workers susceptible to AI replacement. The Outsourcing Trap: Companies often pay 7.5x the cost of a consultant because they have fixed "flat" structures and can't find the right 50 people for a project. The future belongs to project-based organizations.About Roger Roger Martin is a trusted strategy advisor to CEOs and the author of Playing to Win and The Design of Business. Hello, beautiful souls! Welcome back to the Angels and Awakening Podcast. I'm your host and author, Julie Jancius, and friends — this episode lit me up in the best possible way. Today I'm sitting down with the brilliant Katina Bajaj, a creative health scientist and founder of Daydreamers. I have been so excited to have this conversation because the intersection of creativity and spirituality is something I feel so deeply, and Katina brings the science to back it all up. About This Episode Katina started her career in finance, burned out completely, and discovered that the one thing that finally brought her back to life wasn't more rest or more meditation — it was returning to creativity. That journey led her to a master's in clinical psychology and ultimately to forging an entirely new field: creative health. This conversation goes deep into why so many of us feel empty even when we're doing all the "right" wellness things — and what's actually missing. Katina shares the science behind burnout (spoiler: rest alone doesn't fix it), why creativity and intuition are one and the same, and how the brain literally builds superhighways the more we live creatively. We also get beautifully real about identity, authenticity, AI, and what happens when someone copies your work — and what spirit says to do about it. What We Cover What a "creative health scientist" actually is — and why this field is changing lives Why burnout isn't just exhaustion — and why cutting things out of your schedule makes it worse The difference between burning out vs. outgrowing a chapter (such a good nuance!) How dopamine, desire, and your intuition are all pointing you toward your next purpose Why our bodies are wired for homeostasis — and how to push through it anyway The brain science of "collecting dots" — and how living creatively builds your inner superhighway The three pillars of creative health: presence, meeting challenges, and finding meaning in beauty Katina's "Notice, Think, Express" framework for anyone who doesn't know where to start How creativity is literally the entry point to your intuition (backed by Dr. Lisa Miller's research!) The cognitive revolution — creativity as an evolutionary "blip" that changed everything Why you cannot be separated from your creativity — it is a limb The hard conversation about AI, copying, and what happens when your vulnerability is used against you Why your most inspired work is always one step ahead of what anyone can copy Connect with Katina Bajaj
This week I'm talking to Jeremy Spillane about his book 'Joan and Roger Alive in the Afterlife' After the in-laws died, they gave us signs that they were still around ... See them on camera and read their story... After Joan died, many bizarre signs from her started appearing: TVs and lights switching on by themselves; the smell of Joan's perfume in the house; a wild bird of prey circling closely, twice, at a very low level. Nothing like this had ever been experienced when other relatives had died. But Roger, an avowed sceptic, wouldn't acknowledge the signs his late wife was sending. But after Roger died, new signs started to occur, signs from him. Everything that happened was carefully saved on photographs and videos, as well as on some ghost-hunting devices purchased a few months after Roger's death. Over the next twenty months, more than a hundred videos of Roger's spirit were recorded on the SLS camera, communicating with us. Joan and Roger Alive in The Afterlife is the true account of everything discovered and done while Joan and Roger gave the world the most mesmerising proof - on camera - that we really do live on in an afterlife. What more important message could we receive from our late loved ones? If you've ever wondered what happens when we die, here is the answer, confirmed by the oldest, most respected scientific organisation in the field - the Society for Psychical Research. Bio Jeremy Spillane had never written a book before - there was never anything that gripped him enough to make him embark on the massive amount of hard work that writing a book entails. In his twenties he was offered the job of Sub-Editor on the local newspaper, but after much internal debate he accepted a much better paid job in the electronics industry. By his very early sixties, he accepted that his life was pretty ordinary and simple, nothing Earth-shattering was ever going to happen to him…then his wife, Caroline's parents died. Joan died first, then a few years later, Roger. All of a sudden, he just had to write a book about what happened next… He lives in East Yorkshire, England. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GL4TDQWH https://www.pastliveshypnosis.co.uk/https://www.patreon.com/ourparanormalafterlifeMy book 'Verified Near Death Experiences' https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DXKRGDFP Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Available for free on their website and streaming on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Youtube and other podcast platforms. The Personal Impact on Federal Officers For Sorensen, the murder of Officer Williams was more than a tragic news headline. It deeply affected the officers who worked inside the prison system. “When something like that happens inside a federal prison, every officer feels it,” Sorensen explained. “It reminds you how quickly things can turn violent.” He described the reality correctional officers face every day, supervising violent offenders in a confined and unpredictable environment. “People often forget that correctional officers are police officers too,” Sorensen said. “They just work behind the walls.” You can follow him on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast Facebook, Instagram, watch the episode of the podcast interview and case breakdowns on YouTube, or listen to in-depth discussions on their website, on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and most major podcast platforms. Violence Inside America's Prisons The dangers faced by correctional officers are significant. The Murder of a Corrections Officer Working in Prison: The Impact. According to data from the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, the memorial walls include the names of 528 correctional officers who have died in the line of duty. The first recorded correctional officer killed in the line of duty was William Bullard, who was beaten to death during an escape attempt in 1841. Today: More than 200,000 correctional officers work in local, state, and federal facilities. They supervise approximately 1.5 million inmates nationwide. Roughly 8,000 assaults on correctional staff occur every year. In the past 30 years alone, more than 200 correctional officers have died in the line of duty, many during inmate assaults. The Murder of a Corrections Officer Working in Prison: The Impact. It is discussed across News platforms and shared on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Apple, and Spotify, where audiences continue to get their content. Recent tragedies highlight the ongoing danger, including the deaths of Jeremy Hall in 2025 and Dustin Pedigo in 2026. “The public rarely sees the danger correctional officers face every day,” Sorensen said. “But the risks are real.” Changes in Federal Prison Policies Incidents like the murder of Eric Williams have forced federal prisons to reexamine policies designed to protect staff. According to Sorensen, the tragedy sparked discussions about: Officer safety procedures Contraband control inside prisons Tactical response training Equipment and protective tools for staff “You can't eliminate the danger completely,” Sorensen said. “But you can improve training, procedures, and awareness to better protect officers.” Robert Sorensen's Career in Federal Law Enforcement Sorensen spent decades in federal law enforcement before retiring from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Listeners can find the show on the major platforms such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube, where discussions focus on mental health, leadership, wellness, and recovery from trauma. He later served as a GS-13 Special Agent with the Office of Internal Affairs, overseeing nearly 1,000 investigations involving staff misconduct, policy compliance, and interagency coordination with agencies including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Naval Criminal Investigative Service, and the Office of Inspector General. The Murder of a Corrections Officer Working in Prison: The Impact. He also held operational roles at USP Canaan, where he contributed to crisis management and tactical training programs adopted throughout the region. Today, Sorensen serves as Director of Strategic Partnerships and Agency Liaison for SoRite, helping develop practical safety solutions for corrections and law enforcement professionals. “Training and preparation are everything,” Sorensen said. “You have to give officers the tools and knowledge they need to survive the job.” Honoring the Sacrifice The story of Eric Williams serves as a reminder that law enforcement service extends far beyond patrol cars and city streets. You can find the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, X (formerly Twitter), and LinkedIn, as well as read companion articles and updates on Medium, Blogspot, YouTube, and even IMDB. Correctional officers stand on the front lines of the criminal justice system, often in environments that are isolated from public view. The Murder of a Corrections Officer Working in Prison: The Impact. “These officers deserve recognition and respect,” Sorensen said. “They put their lives on the line every day to keep the public safe.” For those who serve behind the walls, the memory of fallen officers like Eric Williams continues to shape how federal prisons train, prepare, and protect their staff. And as Sorensen emphasized during the podcast, the lessons learned from tragedies like this must never be forgotten. Signs of Life - Medium Insights with Host Roman Karpishka Guest: #FFFCertifiedMedium Bobbi Allison Unlike many others in her field, Bobbi can relay messages from master guides through automatic writing. She is also a remote viewer, enabling her soul to be transported to locations of missing items and people. For over a decade, Bobbi has helped hundreds around the globe, including law enforcement and private investigators. In this episode of Signs of Life, host Roman Karpiwska interviews certified medium Bobbi Allison to explore the mechanics of spiritual communication and the survival of consciousness. The discussion provides practical advice for connecting with "the other side" while delving into the ethical boundaries and profound personal experiences that define a medium's work. Practical Techniques for Spiritual Connection Bobbi Allison emphasizes that everyone has the potential to connect with their "team" of angels and guides. The most effective methods include meditation to raise one's vibration and automatic writing. For automatic writing, she suggests a simple ritual: lighting a white candle, saying a prayer of protection, and asking questions while allowing the pen to be guided by spiritual energy. She notes that the "alpha state"—the bridge between being awake and asleep—is a prime time for receiving messages because the conscious ego is less likely to interfere with the transmission. The Mechanics and Ethics of Mediumship A significant portion of the dialogue focuses on how mediums manage their gifts. Bobbi describes mediumship as "tuning in and out" rather than turning a switch on or off. She adheres to strict ethical guidelines, such as those set by the Forever Family Foundation, which prohibit giving unsolicited readings to strangers in public. She also shares a compelling story regarding a 9/11 victim who used automatic writing to provide specific evidence—such as the "Tinker Bell" collectibles—to prove his identity to his grieving family. The Structure of the Soul and Healing Bobbi introduces a unique perspective on the soul's architecture, describing a "Main Soul" and "Fractals." Fractals are parts of the soul that step forward to experience trauma and "take the beatings" of life to protect the core soul. She also recounts a transformative near-death-like experience during a healing session with Pat Longo, where she felt her spirit leave her body and enter a state of "powder blue" euphoric bliss. This experience solidified her commitment to mediumship as a tool for healing rather than just information gathering. Signs, Symbols, and the Afterlife The conversation concludes with advice on asking for signs. Bobbi asserts that spirits love providing specific, even "silly" signs—like an ice cream cone in winter or a purple dog—to confirm their presence. She also touches on the theory of soulmates, suggesting that our "true" soulmate often remains on the other side to guide us, while we interact with various "soul partners" during our earthly incarnation to facilitate growth. The interview highlights that mediumship is fundamentally a service of healing and validation. By understanding the mechanics of the "alpha state," respecting ethical boundaries, and learning to recognize the "fractal" nature of our experiences, individuals can better navigate their own spiritual journeys and maintain a connection with loved ones who have transitioned.

I love you so much! Welcome to the Angels and Awakening Podcast, Pray and Be Wealthy series. I'm your host and author, Julie Jancius, here to uplift, inspire, and show you why you are so, so important to God. Today, we are dismantling the "scavenger hunt" of life. We've been raised to believe our purpose is a "golden ticket" hidden somewhere in the world, and that if we don't find it, we've failed. But what if you can't search for what you already are? In this episode, we shift from being a "creation" to being proof of God's imagination. You are a living, breathing idea that the Divine is still having. When you realize that your existence IS the task, the pressure of "fixing" yourself or "finding" a role disappears. You are the canvas where the Divine is currently painting, and every unique "variation" of your soul is a deliberate choice by the Creator. Key Spiritual Takeaways & Divine Truths: Proof of Imagination: God didn't just make you; God imagined you. You are a spark of Divine creativity brought into physical form. The Custodian: You are the caretaker of the Divine's dreams for this planet. You honor God simply by being the version of your own imagination that calls to you loudest. The End of the Search: A rose doesn't search for its purpose—it simply unfolds. You were created "full," and you are the way the Divine gets to explore the human experience. The Divine Mirror: God wants to experience a cold glass of water through your throat and a mountain range through your eyes. Redefining Failure: You cannot fail at being God's purpose. Even your messiest moments provide a depth of experience to the Divine that "perfection" never could. The Bridge: You don't have to build a bridge to Source through your "works." You are the bridge. #narcissist #narcissism #darkenergy In this video, we explore how narcissism operates as an energetic form of fascism—controlling, dominating, and suppressing truth at both psychological and spiritual levels. Narcissists seek absolute power over perception, emotion, and reality, mirroring the core dynamics of authoritarian systems. This discussion breaks down the energetic structure of narcissistic abuse, why radical acceptance is essential for healing, and how reclaiming sovereignty dismantles control. When truth is seen clearly and no longer resisted, the illusion collapses. In this episode, I'm sharing a story from early in my career about a moment when I completely stuck my foot in my mouth while sharing psychic information. It happened during an Instagram Live when I said that I felt someone would be having a baby soon. What I meant by "soon" and what the person hearing it understood were two very different things. Months later, I received a very strongly worded email about how this message gave her false hope, as she was not yet pregnant. I learned a very important lesson from this that I will never forget. Timing is one of the most difficult parts of psychic information. Words like "soon" can mean very different things depending on who is hearing them and what expectations they attach to that word. In this episode, I talk about why timing can be so tricky in intuitive work and why I personally choose to be very careful when it comes to speaking about fertility or timelines. Experiences like this shaped how I approach my work today and taught me the importance of being thoughtful with the way intuitive information is delivered. I always want to share the good, the bad, and the ugly lessons I've learned over the years. And while the situation felt very uncomfortable at the time, it ultimately had a very happy ending. Tune in to hear the full story and the unexpected way this situation eventually came full circle. _______ Are you a Reiki Level 2 Practitioner ready to take your skills to the next level? The Dangers of Being a Firefighter and the Rewards. Few professions demand the level of courage, sacrifice, and resilience required of firefighters. Every call could mean walking into danger while others are running out. The risks are real, the stress is constant, and the long-term health consequences can be severe. Yet despite those dangers, many firefighters say the rewards of helping others make the job one of the most meaningful careers imaginable. The Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast social media like their Facebook , Instagram , LinkedIn , Medium and other social media platforms. David Dachinger, a retired Fire Lieutenant/EMT from Connecticut, understands both the dangers and the rewards of the job. With more than 21 years in emergency services, Dachinger has seen firsthand how the profession can shape a person's life and sometimes threaten it. The Podcast is available for free on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast website, also on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube and most major podcast platforms. Today, Dachinger shares his story as a guest on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast also as an author, podcast host, cancer survivor, and advocate for first responder wellness. Supporting articles about this and much more from Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast in platforms like Medium , Blogspot and Linkedin . Responding to the Unthinkable Firefighters train for disasters, but some events leave an impact that lasts forever. Dachinger recalls responding to the World Trade Center following the September 11 attacks, working at Ground Zero for a day during the massive recovery and response effort. The Dangers of Being a Firefighter and the Rewards. Available for free on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast website, also on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Youtube and most major Podcast networks. Experiences like that, he says, stay with firefighters long after the call is over. “Those moments remind you how fragile life can be,” Dachinger explains. “But they also remind you why firefighters do what they do, to help people during the worst moments of their lives.” Another call nearly turned deadly when Dachinger responded to a residential fire that suddenly flashed over, a dangerous phenomenon where intense heat causes everything in a room to ignite at once. “Flashover can be fatal if you're not careful,” he recalls. “It happens fast. One moment you're fighting the fire, and the next moment the entire room ignites.” Situations like that are a constant reminder of the physical dangers firefighters face every day. Look for The Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast on social media like their Facebook , Instagram , LinkedIn , Medium and other social media platforms. The Hidden Risk: Cancer in Firefighters While the flames and smoke are obvious dangers, one of the most serious threats to firefighters often appears years later. Firefighters are increasingly being diagnosed with cancer, believed to be linked to exposure to toxic chemicals, smoke, and carcinogens during fires. For Dachinger, that danger became very personal. In 2014, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 head and neck cancer, something many in the firefighting community believe may be related to occupational exposure. Available for free on their website and streaming on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Youtube and other podcast platforms. “Cancer is extremely common among firefighters,” Dachinger says. “We're exposed to toxins on a regular basis. It's something many firefighters eventually face.” The diagnosis was life-changing, forcing him to confront both his health and his future. But instead of allowing the disease to define him, Dachinger used the experience to transform his mission in life. The Dangers of Being a Firefighter and the Rewards. From Firefighter to Author and Advocate After battling cancer and surviving, Dachinger became a powerful advocate for firefighter health, resilience, and mental wellness. You can follow him on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast Facebook, Instagram, watch the episode of the podcast interview and case breakdowns on YouTube, or listen to in-depth discussions on their website, on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and most major podcast platforms. He went on to become a two-time international bestselling author, appearing in the book “Cancer: From Tears to Triumph” and co-authoring the bestselling book “Live Calm With Cancer (...and Beyond).” He also co-authored another important book titled “Helping the Helpers.” The book serves as a guide for professionals who work with first responders, helping them understand the trauma, stress, and unique culture experienced by firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and dispatchers. “Helping the Helpers bridges the gap between clinical training and the real-life experiences of first responders,” Dachinger explains. “It helps therapists, leaders, and families understand what these men and women face every day.” The Dangers of Being a Firefighter and the Rewards. It is discussed across News platforms and shared on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Apple, and Spotify, where audiences continue to get their content. A Voice for First Responders Dachinger now uses multiple platforms to continue supporting the first responder community. He hosts the podcast “Responder Resilience,” which explores the challenges and triumphs faced by firefighters, EMTs, dispatchers, and law enforcement professionals. The Podcast features conversations with experts and firsthand accounts from those working on the front lines. Listeners can find the show on the major platforms such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube, where discussions focus on mental health, leadership, wellness, and recovery from trauma. His work has also been featured across News outlets, television interviews, social media platforms like the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, helping bring attention to the health challenges faced by first responders. A Career Beyond the Firehouse Interestingly, Dachinger has also had success outside the emergency services world. The Dangers of Being a Firefighter and the Rewards. You can find the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, X (formerly Twitter), and LinkedIn, as well as read companion articles and updates on Medium, Blogspot, YouTube, and even IMDB. Before and during parts of his firefighting career, he worked in the music industry, earning two Grammy Award nominations as a mixing engineer and producer. During that time, he collaborated with major artists including Roberta Flack, Usher, Celine Dion, and The Isley Brothers. Today, he combines his diverse experiences to help others build resilience and overcome adversity. He also works as a peer coach with the nonprofit organization 22Zero, which helps first responders dealing with trauma and mental health challenges. More information about his work and interviews can be found on his website ResponderTV.com. The Rewards of the Fire Service Despite the dangers, from flashovers and collapsing buildings to toxic exposures and cancer, Dachinger says the fire service remains one of the most rewarding professions in the world. “Being a firefighter means serving your community at the highest level,” he says. “You're there when people need help the most.” For Dachinger, the job brought challenges he never expected, including a life-threatening illness. But it also gave him a powerful purpose, helping others long after his days inside the firehouse ended. The Dangers of Being a Firefighter and the Rewards. The Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast social media like their Facebook , Instagram , LinkedIn , Medium and other social media platforms. What if the "outlaw" behaviors we see in ourselves or our animals are actually biological signals of energetic misalignment? How can we bridge the gap between our internal intuitive world and the external demands of a professional life? In this episode of Kaleidoscope of Possibilities, Dr. Adriana Popescu is joined by Janell Rae, founder of the Energy Intelligence Method™ and a master energy healer with nearly 30 years of intuitive practice. Janell shares her fascinating journey from being a professional horse trainer—where she learned to read the "silent language" of animals—to discovering her gifts as a medical intuitive. In this Medium episode, Emotional Intelligence expert Jess Cameron and I unpack one of the most damaging beliefs many of us inherited - that emotions make you weak. For generations, men were taught that strength meant suppressing emotion. If you want to succeed, don't show vulnerability. For women, the messaging shifted but carried the same undertone - if you want to be taken seriously in leadership, don't be emotional. Over time, both men and women learned to suppress emotions rather than regulate them.Jess breaks down the critical difference between emotional expression and emotional control. Emotional regulation is not about becoming less emotional. It is about building self-awareness, understanding your emotional triggers, and choosing how you respond instead of reacting from habit. When we are taught to ignore or suppress feelings, we never develop the skills to manage them. And suppressed emotions don't disappear - they surface in stress, conflict, burnout and relationship breakdown. We also explore modern relationship dynamics, including: • Emotional suppression in men • The desire for emotional depth in women • Masculine and feminine energy in relationships • Creating emotionally safe spaces for vulnerability • Why emotional intelligence is essential for healthy communicationThis episode highlights the growing tension in modern relationships — women asking for emotional availability while many men were never taught how to access or express it. We discuss how emotional safety transforms intimacy, leadership, and connection. At its core, this conversation is about redefining emotional strength. Emotional resilience is not the absence of feeling — it is the ability to feel fully without being ruled by your emotions. If you want to build emotional intelligence, improve communication in relationships, and understand how emotional regulation impacts leadership, parenting and personal growth, this episode offers practical insight and perspective.Inside this podcast:- Why both men and women were taught emotions are weakness- The difference between suppression and regulation- How emotional avoidance damages intimacy- The role of safe space in vulnerability- Why emotional strength means feeling fullyConnect with Jess:Instagram → https://bit.ly/3ZGbKMv Website → jesscameron.com Connect with Steve:Instagram → https://bit.ly/3KARQhR LinkedIn → https://bit.ly/48sw8Vj Episode Highlights00:00:00 - Every relationship is unique and tools must fit context00:01:30 - Creating space for real human connection00:02:30 - Families drifting into separate worlds00:03:10 - The power of structured check ins00:04:00 - Listening without fixing or defending00:05:00 - Logistics versus emotional intimacy00:06:00 - Feeling like a team again00:07:00 - Why intimacy changes the emotional atmosphere00:10:00 - Conflict as a feature, not a flaw00:11:00 - Avoidant attachment and retreating from feedback00:12:00 - Self compassion as the foundation of repair00:13:00 - Children absorbing the emotional tone of parents00:13:50 - Repairing faster and breaking cyclesABOUT THE PODCAST SHOWThe Noise of Life is a podcast that shares real stories, raw truths, and remarkable growth. From Cop To Sheriff, His Experience With Murderers. His career in law enforcement spans more than five decades, 51 years to be exact, filled with moments of courage, chaos, and the quiet heroism that often goes unseen. From becoming the youngest police officer in New York at just 20 years old to serving as the elected Sheriff of the Chenango County Sheriff's Office in upstate New York, Loughren's life has been defined by service, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to justice. The Podcast is available for free on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast website, also on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube and most major podcast platforms. Thomas Loughren is our guest. The Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast social media like their Facebook , Instagram , LinkedIn , Medium and other social media platforms. “Law enforcement is more than a career, it's a calling,” Loughren reflects. “Every case, every suspect, every call teaches you something. You learn about humanity, about resilience, and sometimes, about your own limits.” Supporting articles about this and much more from Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast in platforms like Medium , Blogspot and Linkedin . You can find the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, X (formerly Twitter), and LinkedIn, as well as read companion articles and updates on Medium, Blogspot, YouTube, and even IMDB. A Career Spanning States and Stories Loughren's career took him from the Florida Everglades as part of the Mikusukee Police to some of the most high-profile cases in New York. He recalls one particularly harrowing investigation: a 12-year-old girl had been brutally murdered, and the investigation. From Cop To Sheriff, His Experience With Murderers. Plus he talks about arresting a hit man from a tip from the TV Show America's Most Wanted. The suspect had fled to New York State. “This individual was a hitman for a gang,” Loughren explains. “Tracking him across state lines was challenging, dangerous, and it reminded me why law enforcement can never rest.” Available for free on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast website, also on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Youtube and most major Podcast networks. It was a tip from the then-hit television show America's Most Wanted (AMW) that proved pivotal. “AMW was more than entertainment, it was a life-saving tool,” Loughren says. “The public's involvement often made the difference between justice being delayed or delivered.” During his tenure in law enforcement, Loughren witnessed the full spectrum of human behavior, from courage to cruelty. “You confront the worst in people, but you also see the best,” he says. “I've seen communities come together, strangers help strangers, and officers risk their lives for people they've never met.” Serving Chenango County Chenango County, located in the south-central section of New York, became a central stage for Loughren's leadership. With a population of just over 47,000 as of the 2020 census, Chenango County is part of New York's Southern Tier region. The county seat, Norwich, and the surrounding communities became familiar ground for Loughren as he served as Sheriff. From Cop To Sheriff, His Experience With Murderers. “Being Sheriff isn't just about enforcing the law, it's about guiding a community,” Loughren explains. “You learn how to balance authority with empathy, how to respond to crises, and how to build trust in the places you serve.” Look for The Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast on social media like their Facebook , Instagram , LinkedIn , Medium and other social media platforms. The county's geography, from the Chenango River that flows through it to its 899 square miles of land, played a part in many of Loughren's investigations. Remote roads, rural landscapes, and small-town networks often made solving crimes both challenging and deeply personal. From Crisis to Courage: A Life in Law Enforcement Loughren's book, When Crisis Meets Courage, captures these experiences in vivid detail. The book chronicles fifty years of duty, danger, sacrifice, and service, from the Florida Everglades to Ground Zero. “This isn't just a book of cases or arrests,” Loughren says. “It's a collection of lessons in leadership, loyalty, and love for the work we do.” In When Crisis Meets Courage, readers can find action-packed accounts of chases, investigations, and arrests, alongside reflections on the human side of policing. Loughren writes not only about criminals and crimes but about the relationships, decisions, and moments that define a law enforcement career. “Policing teaches you humility,” he notes. “It teaches you that every action matters, every decision can save or change a life, and that courage is sometimes quiet, showing up day after day, ready to serve.” From Cop To Sheriff, His Experience With Murderers. Available for free on their website and streaming on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Youtube and other podcast platforms. The book is published through 846 Publishing, where readers can also learn more about Loughren's career and other publications. News outlets across America have highlighted his career, and television appearances including mentions on "America's Most Wanted" have amplified his voice to the public. “Social media and podcasts allow us to reach people in ways we never could before,” Loughren says. “It's about sharing knowledge, inspiring future law enforcement professionals, and giving the public a window into what really happens behind the badge.” Lessons from a Lifetime of Service From chasing gang hitmen to protecting small-town communities, Loughren's career is a testament to the challenges and rewards of law enforcement. His story demonstrates that policing isn't just about crime, it's about humanity, justice, and the bonds we form in the process of service. It is discussed across News platforms and shared on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Apple, and Spotify, where audiences continue to get their content. “Every officer, every deputy, every sheriff faces moments that test them,” Loughren reflects. “But it's those moments, the ones that require courage, empathy, and quick thinking, that define us.” For those interested in the realities of law enforcement, the triumphs and tragedies, and the leadership lessons learned from decades on the front lines, When Crisis Meets Courage offers an unfiltered, unforgettable look into the life of a man who devoted his life to protecting others. He introduces the concept of a foundational evergreen operating system: being where people are, staying ever-ready, and building connections that compound. The episode covers the SEO quadrant and its four pillars, why your contact database is your most valuable SEO asset, and how first-party data from email lists outperforms second-party data from platforms like LinkedIn, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts. Jonathan shares how NewsBreak and Medium drive backlinks and high domain authority, while Dr. Martin highlights the BlackNews.com story — a site built in 1999 on pure HTML that became the top black news site in the world because Google could easily crawl it. Favour performs a live Semrush audit, explains authority scores, and breaks down how commercial-intent articles like "top 10" lists build domain dominance the way Yelp does. Core Reasons for Being Trapped: The primary reasons owners cannot leave their businesses include strong emotional attachment (37%), financial dependence on the business income (25%), inability to sell at a profitable price (20%), and a lack of suitable buyers (19%). According to LinkedIn. Workload and Burnout: Many owners are forced to work longer hours, with 60% struggling to get time off and 54% having given up hobbies and personal activities, according to Medium. For Laurie Barkman: Growing up, I launched my first services business at age 10, mowing lawns, raking leaves, and babysitting. In high school, I leaned into leadership, learned how to address challenges head-on, and made a lasting impact on my community. That drive to build winning teams took me to Cornell University, where I studied Industrial and Labor Relations. I began my career at Ingersoll-Rand, a global engineering firm, working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers and plant teams to reengineer operational processes for productivity and cost improvements. It was there that I first saw how analytical and technical leaders think. Later, I earned my MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, intentionally choosing a rigorous quantitative program to refine the analytical skills I knew I'd need to lead and advise in structured, technical environments. Over the years, I built a career spanning Fortune 500s and startups, leading teams through high-growth transformation, including time in logistics, SaaS, e-commerce, and operations, often in collaboration with engineers, data-driven founders, and technical teams. The search was part of a long-term succession plan. A third-generation family business and leading transportation and logistics company in North America sought a new divisional CEO. In the interview process, I was told, “We're not interviewing you for the next 2 years…we're interviewing you for the next 20.” Playing the long game excited me. Taking on this role was a perfect storm of high expectations, internal resistance, and every eye was watching. I wasn't necessarily who they expected, but I knew how to create value. I steadied the ship and shifted mindsets towards transformation. Eventually, we guided the company to a successful sale to a Global Fortune 50 company. After the acquisition was completed, I stayed on as a senior executive and served on the Integration Steering Committee, advising on the launch of new e-commerce fulfillment services. Back to the original notion of staying in the company for 20 years. As things played out, my tenure was only three. Was I disappointed? Heck no. I realized that while we may have a plan, sometimes plans change for good reason. The acquisition “put some money in my jeans” and gave me the flexibility to pursue my entrepreneurial passions. In 1903, two hunters tracking moose through the frozen Yukon wilderness stumbled upon a massive furrow in the mud — thirty feet long, flanked by clawed footprints the size of a man — and followed the trail straight to something that shouldn't exist. What a French traveler, a gold prospector, and a Jesuit priest would witness clambering out of a remote Arctic ravine defies every assumption about what still roams the Canadian wild.*No AI Voices Are Used In The Narration Of This Podcast*IN THIS EPISODE: Is it possible that dinosaurs lived recently? Like, in the 1900s? Even more bizarre… could they have been living in the 20th century in, of all places, the Arctic Circle? (The Monster of Partridge Creek) *** On May 3, 1881, Mena Muller and Louis Kettler took the ferry from New York City to Hoboken, New Jersey. They were going to be married in Hoboken, although they each had a spouse already. The legality of the marriage did not concern them; they were returning to Germany and would start a new life there. But somehow their plans went awry; that night Louis Kettler returned to New York alone and ten days later Mena Muller's body was found in New Jersey with a fractured skull. (The Guttenberg Murder) *** Timothy Trespas lives in his home in Brooklyn. And I do mean in his home – as he rarely leaves the house, because he feels he is being stalked everywhere he goes by gangs of individuals. And he's not the only one. (Gang Stalking Paranoia) *** They say walking is good for you… but that depends on where you walk, when you walk, and who you bump into, as one person found out late one night just trying to alleviate the boredom. (The Smiling Man) *** We've all slept in longer than we planned. What's the longest you ever slept in? Three hours? Thirteen hours? Did you ever sleep three days straight? I think I see maybe two hands raised out there. You two are amateurs. One man slept 300 days out of the year. (Never Enough Sleep) *** A man had several unexplained incidents while hiking in a German forest. Shaken by the events, he eventually encounters a man with bright green eyes. Welcome to the Angels and Awakening Podcast, Pray and Be Wealthy series. I'm your host and author, Julie Jancius, here to uplift, inspire, and remind you of a fundamental truth: You make God happy just by being you. In today's episode, we are shifting our vibrational frequency away from "doing" and "earning" and moving into the sacred space of "being." We often think we are separate from Source, but the truth is that the Divine is experiencing every nuance of human life through your senses. When you see beauty, God is seeing it through you. When you cry, the Heavens hold you in a divine embrace. Your unique soul blueprint is essential to the expansion of the universe. You are not a machine; you are a living, breathing expression of infinite creativity. Today, we release the burden of comparison and honor the divine spark within. Key Spiritual Takeaways & Affirmations: Divine Perspective: Your existence is a gift to God. You are the way the Universe gets to explore and express its joy. Oneness: You are never alone; the Divine is always experiencing life alongside you in every laugh, every tear, and every step of your soul's evolution. Inherent Worth: Release the need to "earn" love. You are inherently worthy of abundance and grace simply because you exist. Cosmic Bias: The Universe is biased in your favor because you are its joy! The Power of You: God's biggest wish is not for you to be someone else, but for you to be the truest version of yourself. Character actor Sam McMurray's media path winds through connections, coincidences and many, MANY contacts with industry legends (and assorted relations.) Sam carves a path through the backroads of Friends, The Golden Girls, Freaks & Geeks, Raising Arizona, The King Of Queens and beyond while we scramble to keep up!Raised in New York by actor parents, his dad was on The Edge Of Night. His mom graced Broadway and Off Broadway stages and Sam, an athlete, nursed a high school broken heart by running straight for what felt like home, the school theater. He's been an actor ever since. His Hollywood career began when he and his wife headed west in 1986. He was quickly cast in The Jeffersons, The Ropers and Hill Street Blues. He was on his way to becoming one of the most recognizable faces on the screen.Sam shares insights from inside a career defined by a wide range of memorable appearances. He tells the story of meeting a 17 year old Matthew Perry while working on The Tracey Ullman Show. It would not be until ten years later that Sam's stage directions, on Friends, instructed him to smack Matt in the butt. Sam shares his thoughts and concerns about the migration of Hollywood production to other states and countries and how the audition process has become so much less personal via Zoom calls and self-tapes. We discuss the McCarthy era as Sam's parents were both under fire and even skipped town for Florida when they got wind that a subpoena for his mom to appear before HUAC was heading their way. The red scare and its impact on creative voices has informed the course of his life.We also explore the wide variety of mediums in which he has worked. From television and film to web series, like Then We Got Help! Sam also returned to the stage after many years away. How did he salvage the night when he went up on his lines playing a gravedigger in the 2019 play, Buzz, about groundbreaking British theater director Buzz Goodbody? His story will delight you.He also shares personal anecdotes about legends Jerry Stiller, Anne Meara, Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Estelle Getty, Rue McClanahan, Kevin James, Steve Martin, and Tom Hanks. And, with refreshing honesty, Sam admits that not every role, in a long career, receives the same level of focus. Some projects demand everything an actor has to breathe life into the part, and he'll wonder if there was more he could have given. While others, like The Sopranos, are so brilliantly written that embodying the character is a joy.By the time we made our way to IMDB Roulette we knew that this was an interview to be studied and interpreted by future entertainment historians, as Sam guides us through the threads and relationships which become the fabric of our entertainment.
