Welcome back to Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu. In this episode, Drew and I take you through a whirlwind week where politics, world affairs, and tech innovation collide. We dissect Biden's shocking cancer diagnosis and what it means for the country, dig into Bernie Sanders' eyebrow-raising admission about the Democratic Party, and go deep on just how broken the government really is—and how (or if) it can ever be fixed. We tackle the big questions: What does it take to create a thriving middle class? Should we trust the government to spend more and do more, or do we need to completely rethink the machine? Are we living through a crisis of vision, where our leaders offer no North Star to inspire the country? And with news breaking on both the NIH's gain-of-function research and China's clampdown on gene editing, are we prepared for the next wave of scientific disruption? What does it really take for your teenager to trust you with everything? Are you creating a home where your wife feels truly safe to open up? Could a father-son conversation reveal the surprising answers? Today I'm bringing you something truly special: a replay of one of the most meaningful live Q&A sessions I've ever recorded. This one goes way back to 2023, and I had my oldest son, Ethan, who was just 17 at the time (he's 19 now) join me, along with 35 awesome guys from The Dad Edge Alliance. What made this conversation so powerful is that it was completely unscripted. Real questions, raw answers, and packed with the kind of gold you can only get from honest, open dialogue. Even though it was a live stream with our members, the themes we dove into are just as crucial today. In this episode, you'll hear us tackle some major challenges that I know resonate with so many of you: Connecting with Your Wife When She's Emotionally Distant: Real strategies for bridging that gap. Creating Psychological Safety in Conversations: How to foster an environment where true communication can thrive. Navigating Discipline Without Losing Connection with Your Kids: Ethan even chimes in with his perspective on this one! The Power of the Experience Cube: We explore this incredible conflict resolution tool (originally taught by ClearLeadership.com) that's a game-changer for tough conversations with your wife, kids, and even at work. But what truly blew me away during this Q&A was hearing, in his own words, what builds trust between Ethan and me. And spoiler alert: it's not about being the perfect dad. It's about something much more real: showing up, owning your mistakes, and spending genuine time together. I'm not going to lie, you might even hear a little emotion in my voice when Ethan starts talking about this–it really hit home the importance of creating that safe space where our kids feel they can tell us anything. So, whether you're a dad wanting to lead your family better, a husband striving for deeper connection, or just a man wanting to improve your relationships, this episode is packed with hard-earned wisdom. Sit back, relax, and get ready for some real talk that still rings true today. This special "WINSday" edition is all about celebrating our members' successes and sharing the valuable lessons they've learned on their journey to becoming better dads. Sit back, tune in, and get ready to be motivated by the remarkable guests of the Dad Edge community. www.thedadedge.com/alliance www.1stphorm.com/dadedge

In this episode, I introduce you to Eve M who lives in Western Ireland with her rescue cat. Eve was first introduced to Organize 365® through listening to another podcast that was interviewing me about ADHD and Organize 365® solutions. Eve became obsessed about this idea of the slash pockets and organizing. She listened to the Sunday Basket® episodes repeatedly. She has a podcast too called Feel Better Everyday that she hosts, author of the book 365 Ways to Feel Better, owns her therapy practice, and is a freelance journalist.  We rabbit trailed about having a podcast. Eve has noticed with organization she's gained mental capacity to batch record her podcast content. And we joked how funny it is that once you notice you've gained capacity you continue to push it to see how much more you can accomplish with such things as batch recording. We also talked about growing business. Once you see you have room for growth, that is a great time to get a VA. Eve has gotten a VA and is surprised by how much more she can do because she's not focusing on the admin tasks or harvesting content from work she's already completed. There is less on her plate due to delaying some things according to the Sunday Basket® practice, but it's all getting done within time constraints. It's like her safety net to not have things fall through the cracks. And knowing all of the work that needs to be done helps her ensure that she has work for her VA too.  Then we had a really fun conversation about deep dive work. I love my Thursdays when I get immersed in school studies. It allows me time to do productive deep thinking. When we get rid of some of the noise like admin tasks, meetings, delaying things till Sunday, and other distractions, we can really focus and get creative. Eve explained that this is also time to capture all of her pink thoughts. And described deep dive immersive time as being luxurious. It allows us to nourish our unique purpose and grow in it.  She wishes she'd known to build in time for rest. I explained what fun means to me, travel!!  But Eve shared her she's been resting, taking back up scuba diving, and scheduling fun. She said she spent so much time trying to catch up, she has so many ideas though, she has realized she never will “catch up” so she's resting and having fun instead.  Eve's advice is, “Keep checking in with yourself. Know that you know yourself best, you know your business best, you know your home best. Trust yourself and just keep asking yourself ‘What would be a kind thing for me to do for myself right now?'”  EPISODE RESOURCES: The Sunday Basket® Sign Up for the Organize 365® Newsletter  On the Wednesday podcast, I get to talk with members of the Organize 365® community as they share the challenges, progress, missteps and triumphs along their organizing journey. This timely story that teaches kids the importance of respecting history, traditions, and each other in an increasingly divided America. But this episode doesn't stop there. Julie and Nick expose the media's complicity in the conspiracy to cover up former President Biden's cognitive decline, as Democrat insiders and legacy journalists rush to publish self-serving books to enrich themselves. This is a powerful conversation about the cultural rot in our society, the collapse of trust in the press, and what it will take to restore honesty and accountability in American life. Episode Highlights: Julie Banderas explains how A Monumental Mistake teaches kids to respect history and warns of the dangers of erasing America's past. A breakdown of how Democrat insiders and media elites conspired to cover up Biden's decline, and why they're scrambling to rewrite the narrative. Why trust in journalism has collapsed, and how the media's self-inflicted wounds have exposed a deeper crisis in America.

In this episode, I dive into the crucial topic of building trust online, especially in the digital marketing landscape. You've probably heard about the phrase 'know, like, and trust,' but I believe there's a missing piece in this equation. I argue that trust is not just a byproduct of likability; it also hinges on reliability. Trust is formed through the relationship plus the consistency of behavior that demonstrates a commitment. Would you like access to our advanced agency training for FREE? https://www.agencymastery360.com/training Are you doing great work but still feel like your agency's stuck in neutral? The truth is, talent alone doesn't scale a business. In this episode our guest, Stephen Woessner—author, agency growth strategist, and founder of Predictive ROI—reveals why most agencies hit a ceiling... and how to break through with a smarter, more strategic approach. From developing a true methodology to showing up with content that teaches, we dive into what's working now (and what's not) when it comes to agency growth, client expectations, and scaling with intention. If you've ever relied a little too heavily on referrals, be unsure of your niche, or found yourself winging it without a real system—this one's for you. Tune in to learn how to enhance your agency's approach to attracting clients and scaling your business! Stephen Woessner is the founder of Predictive ROI, an agency that helps clients build predictable and repeatable ROI so they can focus on doing the work they love alongside clients they choose. With over 30 years of experience, including a six-year stint in academia, Stephen discusses what's working right now to get more leads, why getting specific is vital for agencies, and why the journey to scaling your journey requires patience, as well as methodology. Stephen also hosts the "Onward Nation" and "Sell with Authority" podcasts and is the bestselling author of five books, including his latest, “Sell With Authority". In this episode, we'll discuss: Why you should be ridiculously specific. Developing a true methodology to showcase your process. How a softer approach can lead to bigger wins. The Power of Specificity (and Content That Teaches) Stephen has had a long career in the agency world, starting thirty years ago, before ROI was a thing, and working alongside agencies and consultants — teaching them how to build their authority within the markets they serve. He worked six-years in academia while also sharing his knowledge in his first books on Viral Social Networking and SEO. The expertise shared in these books got him requests to work as a consultant for different businesses, which led to him starting his own agency in 2009. At his agency, Stephen commonly works with agencies and consultants that are going about sales and new business development in the least effective, most painful way possible. In fifteen years, he's seen a lot in the business and now brings his own perspective on what's currently working in the agency space. According to him, success comes from being ridiculously specific—about who you serve, what you offer, and how you market it. It's not about flashy gimmicks or one-size-fits-all strategies. Agencies that clearly communicate their expertise and share their knowledge generously (even for free!) are the ones building long-term trust. With the many AI tools available for marketers nowadays, there just isn't a valid excuse for not putting your own content out there to attract clients with valuable tips that show your expertise. These should be small, actionable pieces that solve real problems. That kind of generosity leads to high-quality leads who already trust you by the time they reach out. While the tools might not be polished yet, they show just how easy it is now to create content and show up consistently. The key is that agencies need to be intentional, have a point of view, know their clients' real pain points and speak to them clearly. Raise the Bar or Get Left Behind Today's clients are smart. They're looking for specialized, strategic partners—not generalists who throw spaghetti at the wall. Agencies that develop a true methodology, a real system for delivering results, stand out. It's not just about the work—it's about the process behind it. Simply put, a solid methodology builds trust. It shows prospects that you know what you're doing and that you've done it before. And yes, it's a big part of what makes an agency sellable down the road. If you're familiar with games like “Age of Empires,” the process of building your methodology will be a lot like starting scrappy in the stone age—just you, maybe a freelancer or two. But as you gather resources (aka leads, a team, and tools) and build systems (onboarding, sales, and delivery processes), you level up. The methodology evolves as you grow—and mastering each stage is what gets you to the next one. The path to growth requires structure, clarity, and an intentional approach. If you're still winging it with no repeatable system in place it might be time to rethink the game plan. How a Softer Approach Can Lead to Bigger Wins Other than a methodology, the journey to the top will also require patience. Scaling an agency is rarely instantaneous and each stage of development comes with its own challenges and learning experiences. Agencies at various levels of growth face unique challenges, and the aspiration to leap from a level two to level thirty-seven—is just unrealistic. You need to experience the wins and losses that truly gives you the expertise to sustain growth and learn to appreciate that they've prepared you for the next challenges and goals. Jason was actually confronted with this lesson while preparing for his latest event, which although did eventually sell out, but did so much more slowly than he would've liked. In the end, the team made the decision to stop being pushy about promoting the event and instead try to be more inviting. A pushy attitude will likely be met with resistance. Instead, a gentle nudge or an invitation to explore creates a sense of curiosity and openness. By reframing the conversation from one of pressure to one of invitation, he was able to build trust and rapport. People are more likely to engage when they feel they have the autonomy to make choices without feeling coerced. This is the same principle that drives successful business generation. Instead of being pushy, make sure you're sharing case studies, insights, or even hosting webinars that allow prospects to learn and engage with the agency's expertise. Trust that you're offering great value that resonates with the target audience, encouraging your audience to lean in and explore further, rather than overwhelming them with hard sells. Creating Content That Draws the Right Clients In So what is the type of content agencies should be creating to get prospects to lean in? The first thing that may make you feel like you're screaming into the void is trying to attract just any client who can sign a check. Successful companies have shown that focusing on a select group of high-performing clients can lead to tremendous success. This does not mean that if you start to work with plumbers you'll have to work with that niche in perpetuity. A niche can also be a specific problem you solve or an area you serve, not just an industry. When you focus on "right fit" clients, you'll attract people you genuinely enjoy working with who choose to stay with your business long-term. When agency owners narrow their focus, they can tailor their offerings to meet the unique needs of their chosen niche. This not only enhances the quality of service but also simplifies the content creation process. Once the target audience is identified, agencies can generate relevant and engaging content that addresses the specific problems and pain points of their clients. At this point, you can focus on sharing content that makes a lasting impression. By providing valuable information upfront, you'll no doubt capture the attention of potential clients and build credibility. Do You Want to Transform Your Agency from a Liability to an Asset? Daily Emunah Podcast - Daily Emunah By Rabbi David Ashear

We know that the essence of a person is his Neshama . The body is merely a casing, and death simply means that the person comes out of that casing and continues to live — just in a better place. There isn't even one split second when a person is not fully alive. The moment of death is only the moment when the casing is removed. Sometimes, we are privileged to see clearly — even in this world — the eternity of the Neshama. A rabbi once related that many years ago, he was hired by a shul to give a series of classes, for which he was promised $2,000 upon completion. He gave the shiurim, but the payment never arrived. The president of the shul told him that the check would come in the mail, but apparently, it slipped his mind — because it never did. About a year later, the rabbi happened to meet the shul's treasurer. They made small talk, and during the conversation, it came to light that the rabbi had never been paid. The treasurer was horrified and told the rabbi that he would personally take care of it and get reimbursed by the shul. He then took $1,000 out of his own pocket and handed it to the rabbi. Before parting, he said, "I personally guarantee you will get the second $1,000 as well." Just a few days later, the treasurer became very sick. He was hospitalized and, tragically, passed away within two weeks. Some time afterward, the rabbi of that same shul called the original rabbi to his office. As soon as he arrived, the rabbi handed him an envelope with $1,000. "This," he said, "is from the treasurer who recently passed away." Puzzled, the rabbi asked, "How did you know about the treasurer's promise? No one else knew — only he and I." The rabbi replied, "My wife had a dream. The treasurer appeared to her and told her he wasn't allowed into Gan Eden because of an unpaid promise. He asked that the money be given right away to fulfill his word." There was no way anyone could have known about that promise — except if the treasurer had truly come back from the next world to make things right. When a person passes away, his life does not end. He simply relocates — to a far better place. A man shared the following story that he heard firsthand from someone named Reuven. Reuven said that in Poland, during the Holocaust, a man lost his wife and was left raising their only son alone. At one point, they were separated, and the father was forced to flee for his life. He was almost certain that his three-year-old son had not survived. Four years later, one night, the man's wife appeared to him in a dream. She told him that their son was still alive and he must go find him. At first, he dismissed it as just a dream. But then it happened again. The father returned to his hometown and discovered that a righteous gentile had rescued several Jewish children during the war. He tracked this man down, entered his home — and there he saw his seven-year-old son. He recognized him immediately. ברוך ה׳ , he was able to raise his son in Torah and mitzvot, and eventually, the boy grew into a man who built a beautiful Torah family. Reuven concluded, "I know this story is true — because I was that seven-year-old boy. It was my mother who came to my father in a dream and told him I was still alive." The next world is very real. As it says in קהלת : וְיָשֹׁב הֶעָפָר עַל הָאָרֶץ כְּשֶׁהָיָה וְהָרוּחַ תָּשׁוּב אֶל הָאֱלֹקים אֲשֶׁר נְתָנָהּ — "And the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it." If a person fulfills his mission in this world, he will experience the greatest bliss — for all eternity

I want to tackle a hot topic that's getting a lot of attention here in Ohio: police qualified immunity. There's been some buzz lately with talk of amending the Ohio constitution to eliminate qualified immunity, and with moves from the Attorney General and even the Ohio Supreme Court nudging this issue closer to the ballot, the debate is really heating up.I break down what qualified immunity actually is, why it matters for police officers, government workers, and regular folks like us, and what could happen if it gets scrapped. Trust me, there are strong arguments on both sides, and it's the kind of issue that could seriously change the legal landscape here in Ohio.I'm not here to take sides today, but I do want to set the stage for a much bigger conversation. I'm planning to bring in some guests soon—lawyers who work on both sides of this debate—so we can really dig deep and talk about what's at stake. So if you've got questions or thoughts about qualified immunity, shoot them my way. I'm looking forward to having this discussion, and I hope you stick around for what's sure to be an interesting ride. Let's get into it, right here on Lawyer Talk.Submit your questions to www.lawyertalkpodcast.com.Recorded at Channel 511.Stephen E. But with just one primary income and a major surgery planned for next year, every decision feels high stakes. How to have the conversations that are most difficult — and most important. Before you can have hard conversations with others, you need to have an honest conversation with yourself. That's the counterintuitive advice from Sheila Heen, who says our own internal narratives often derail our attempts at negotiation and conflict resolution."The first negotiation is actually a negotiation I have with myself about my own story," explains Heen, a Harvard Law School lecturer and co-author of Difficult Conversations: How to Discuss What Matters Most. When entering challenging interactions, she recommends a powerful shift where we consider that our perspective is only one side of the story. "If I can shift my purpose from convincing you of something to just understanding how you see it and why we might see it differently, that actually is more likely to generate a good conversation with less defensiveness for both of us."In this episode of Think Fast, Talk Smart, Heen joins Matt Abrahams to explore effective communication in high-stakes situations. From giving and receiving feedback with her “ACE” framework (Appreciation, Coaching, and Evaluation) to recognizing the "degrees of difficulty" in disagreements, she offers practical strategies for having productive conversations even when emotions run high.Episode Reference Links:Sheila Heen Sheila's Books: Difficult Conversations / Thanks for the Feedback  Ep.144 Communicating Through Conflict: How to Get Along with AnyoneEp.136 The Art of Disagreeing Without Conflict: Navigating the Nuance  Connect:Premium Signup >>>> Think Fast Talk Smart PremiumEmail Questions & Feedback >>> hello@fastersmarter.ioEpisode Transcripts >>> Think Fast Talk Smart WebsiteNewsletter Signup + English Language Learning >>> FasterSmarter.ioThink Fast Talk Smart >>> LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTubeMatt Abrahams >>> LinkedInChapters:(00:00) - Introduction (01:36) - Managing Anxiety in Tough Conversations (04:15) - Why Emotions Matter (07:23) - Shifting the Story We Tell Ourselves (08:41) - Starting with the Real Issue (10:20) - Getting Unstuck in Conflict (13:18) - ACE: The Three Types of Feedback (16:20) - Making Feedback Actionable (18:40) - Finding Common Ground (20:17) - The Final Three Questions (27:32) - Conclusion    *****This episode is brought to you by Babbel. Deniz shares the story of a security project with a team of eight experienced, senior engineers working on mission-critical systems. Despite initial motivation and clear architectural solutions, the team soon exhibited signs of negative behavior including complaints and criticism. The root cause traced back to frequent Product Owner changes—several within less than a year—and poor client management. Instead of shielding the team, the PO directly transferred stress from clients to the team, demanded overtime, and created unnecessary tension by bringing unfiltered conflicts to the team and requesting excessive details. Deniz emphasizes the importance of avoiding unnecessary tensions, being more political when necessary to protect the team, and being mindful of tone in written communications. Self-reflection Question: In what ways might you be failing to set proper boundaries in your role, and how could establishing clearer limits improve both your effectiveness and your team's performance? Featured Book of the Week: Boundaries by Henrik Cloud Deniz recommends "Boundaries" by Henrik Cloud, a book about human relationships and personal limitations. The book addresses crucial questions: Does your life feel out of control? Do you keep saying yes to everyone? Are you taking responsibility for others' feelings and problems? Have you forgotten your own limitations? Deniz explains how this book helped them learn to say "no" while still considering others' realities and feelings, and understanding why we often struggle with setting boundaries. Deniz highlights that being a Scrum Master involves much more than just processes and methods—it requires healthy personal boundaries. [Scrum Master Toolbox Podcast Recommends]

In this powerful episode of the Her Best Self podcast, Lindsey explores what it truly means to go ALL IN on your recovery journey. Inspired by a church sermon on faith, she unpacks the different levels of commitment in recovery—from ankle-deep hesitation to full blown surrender—and challenges you to identify where you're holding back. If you're tired of partial results and ready to experience true freedom from disordered eating, this episode offers both inspiration and practical next steps for going ALL IN on yourself and your healing. What You'll Learn The four levels of commitment in recovery: ankle-deep, knee-deep, waist-deep, and ALL IN How staying in your comfort zone blocks your healing progress The exhausting reality of wearing the "eating disorder mask" and the freedom that comes from removing it Practical examples of what going ALL IN looks like in everyday recovery Biblical wisdom that supports full surrender in the recovery process One tangible action step to move toward going ALL IN this week Highlights From This Episode On Partial Commitment (3:12) "Partial commitment yields partial results. To experience the full freedom that recovery offers, you have to go ALL IN. That means complete surrender. Complete trust. Complete willingness to feel ALL of your feelings without using food or exercise to numb them." On Getting Out of Your Own Way (5:45) "How often are YOU getting in the way of your own recovery? How often are you blocking your own healing because you're trying to control everything? Because you're not willing to trust the process? Because you're holding onto the false comfort of your eating disorder?" On Removing the Mask (8:30) "The eating disorder has pulled a mask over you - a false identity that you might have worn for years or even decades... Going ALL IN means pulling away that mask and saying, 'This is who I really am. This is what I'm really struggling with. This is what I really need.'" On Redirecting Energy (10:15) "When you go ALL IN on recovery, you get to redirect all that energy toward actually living your life. Toward your relationships, your passions, your purpose. Toward the woman God created you to be." Scripture Referenced Romans 12:2 – "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Proverbs 3:5-6 – "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Psalm 139:14 – "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Your Recovery Action Step Identify ONE area where you've been holding back in recovery, and take ONE step toward going ALL IN in that area this week. Write it down, share it with someone who will hold you accountable, and commit to taking that step even when it feels uncomfortable. Daily Emunah Podcast - Daily Emunah By Rabbi David Ashear

A man said he has done a certain segula in the hope that he would be married within a year. However, the year has passed, and he is still in the same position. He feels let down and is in need of chizuk . This sentiment is shared by many others who have had the same types of letdowns. A woman once told me she took upon herself to be careful in the area of modesty in the hope that she would have righteous children. However, when she did not see her children acting in the way she hoped, in her words, she became disenchanted with tziniut . What chizuk can we give people in situations where they have followed the advice of our Rabbis and grown spiritually in the hope of being granted something they need, but have not gotten what they have expected? The Mishnah says in Pirkeh Avot , שכר מצוה מצוה – the reward for doing a mitzvah is that Hashem will give the person an opportunity to do another mitzvah. Although we love to see immediate benefits from our actions, Hashem wants us to have the ultimate benefit, eternal bliss. There is nothing in this world that could compare to the pleasure we will receive in the Next World for our mitzvot. The greatest gift that Hashem could give a person is something that is going to make him happy for eternity, not just for the moment. Being that in many instances, we do see side benefits in this world for our performance of mitzvot, when those side benefits do not come about, it presents us with a wondrous opportunity to earn infinite rewards for our avodat Hashem. This is because it is then that we can display our emunah and tell Hashem, we know You are appreciating what we are doing, we know You are trustworthy to reward us the way You know is best, so we are going to continue growing and continue to serve You to the best of our ability. If someone has taken something upon himself as a zechut and he didn't see the side benefit he was expecting, if he would continue doing that avodat Hashem, every moment of it would become infinitely greater. That itself may very well be the immediate reward that Hashem is giving him, the opportunity to soar to the greatest heights. Yosef HaTzaddik was presented with one of the most difficult tests in all of history. With superhuman strength, he overcame that test. We can only imagine Yosef's tefilot every day, stuck in Mitzrayim as a slave to Potifar, he must have been begging Hashem to go back home and be reunited with his father, where he could once again be surrounded by kedusha . He must have thought that in the zechut of overcoming that enormous test, Hashem would bring him out of Egypt. But instead, he was thrown into a prison for 12 years. Yosef could have easily said, "That's what I get for being a tzaddik ? Why should I continue?" Yet, the Toldot Adam in parashat Vayeshev writes that the pasuk testified, Yosef maintained all of his levels of righteousness throughout the entire time he was in prison, as it says, ויהי שם בבית הסוהר – and the word שם means the same as he was before. This opportunity for Yosef to remain righteous despite that letdown, is precisely what made him into the great tzaddik that he became. That episode of being thrown into prison was part of the reward that Yosef received for his tzidkut , being given the chance to become Yosef HaTzaddik that we are still learning from today. A man told that he went to the Kotel for 40 consecutive days to pray for a shidduch . When the 40 days were up, he waited with anticipation of his long-awaited salvation, but nothing came. However, rather than turn the other way, he decided to double his efforts. He went to pray by the Kotel for the next 80 consecutive days. Some time after that, he did get engaged. But that was not his ultimate reward. The fact that he got that opportunity to show his emunah in Hashem(when the salvation didn't come) and used it to pray even harder for a longer period of time was his greatest gain, and it is going to last him for all eternity. We love to see the benefits in this world as well, and we hope that we will see them, but in the meantime, if the efforts we have been putting forth did not yet produce the results we were hoping for, we should utilize the time to earn the ultimate reward, serving Hashem with steadfast emunah.
