Not Trump's trade war with China, not the war in Ukraine, but the only war taking place on American soil: the trans-ing of American children.Episode Links:The leftist activist super position: It's definitely not happening (because that sounds insane), but if it is happening, it's a good thing. Time for another weekly news debrief: we pick apart the most unhinged headlines and try to make sense of the mainstream media, helping you consume the news critically. In this episode, we take you through the Media Storm mission: we're not about conspiracy, we're about media literacy. THAT Zelensky-Trump press conference set the tone for world news this week, as Western leaders rolled out red carpets and tried to decipher diplomatic rationale from clickbait MAGA politics. So who was the rude reporter that set the wheels in motion? And what should we make of the pantomime that's become of the White House's press room? Imagine, instead, if Netanyahu had been in the hot seat (we play it out for you): warned by Trump and Vance that he is gambling with World War Three. That he has no cards to play, if the US wants a ceasefire. Instead of applying such pressure, the US government pushed through an emergency arms sale to Israel this week - days before imposing new terms on the ceasefire with Hamas. But is that how the press reported it? Now for something NOT TRUMP. Ever heard of joint enterprise? The little-known law putting Black boys in prison has failed to attract much press scrutiny, so we dive in. And finally, Mathilda's secret aristocratic background has been exposed by the Daily Mail! Find out why Helena's so disappointed. The episode is hosted and produced by Mathilda Mallinson (@mathildamall) and Helena Wadia (@helenawadia) The music is by @soundofsamfire Support us on Patreon! Donald Trump has officially paused the 25% tariffs on both Canada and Mexico just days after implementation. Trump claims that he spoke with leaders of both countries and was able to secure concessions from both that allowed him to pause the tariffs. What he didn't tell the public, however, was that ALL of the concessions from both countries were things that they had ALREADY agreed to do, so they didn't have to concede anything to win.The Trump administration suffered another crushing blow from a federal judge this week, as the restraining order that was put in place against his spending freeze was left in place. Trump's DOJ argued in court that he didn't have to abide by the court's original restraining order because they only addressed the memo from the Office of Management and Budget, and NOT Trump's executive order. It didn't matter in the eyes of the law, and that argument failed. Marjorie Taylor Greene announced this week that her DOGE Subcommittee in the House is going to be holding hearings with PBS and NPR to demand answers about their so-called "biased content." Greene specifically mentioned that neither outlet covered the "Hunter Biden laptop story," but a quick Google search proves that both outlets covered it extensively - and have provided updates for nearly 5 years! Donald Trump may have temporarily paused the 25% tariffs against Canada and Mexico, but there are still more tariffs to come in the near future. And his blissful ignorance about who pays those tariffs could come back to haunt Republicans for years to come. A new poll has found that most Americans are NOT ok with their prices increasing as a result of his trade war, and they are well aware of who will be responsible when it happens. Today's sentencing means that President-elect Trump will officially enter the White House as a convicted felon, but it's the establishment who are finding themselves discredited by this label and NOT Trump. Plus, one English father is coming forward about how he was arrested for trying to save his daughter from the Muslim grooming gangs. And finally, a transgender activist gloats online about tricking Florida into allowing him to change his sex on his I.D., only for the attention to undo it all.Guests:Libby Emmons | Editor-in-Chief, The Post MillennialAndrea Kaye | Radio Host, The Andrea Kaye ShowAuron MacIntyre | Columnist, Blaze Media & Podcast Host, The Auron MacIntyre ShowRiley Lewis | Host, The Real Story with Riley Lewis
Congress is set to certify President-elect Donald Trump's victory today, on the four-year anniversary of the Jan. 6 insurrection. Since then, almost 1,500 people have been charged with crimes for their actions that day, and more than 500 people have served — or are still serving — time in prison. Not Trump, though. He's managed to avoid any real consequences for his efforts to overturn the 2020 election. Hanna Rosin, co-host of The Atlantic's narrative podcast 'We Live Here Now,' joins us to reflect on the Jan. 6 anniversary and what Trump's reelection means for the rioters. Later in the show, a former D.C. metropolitan police officer who was at the Capitol during the insurrection talks about what he saw that day.And in headlines: The FBI shared more details about the man they say planned the New Orleans terrorist attack, A New York judge upheld Trump's felony conviction and set a sentencing date in his hush money case, and funeral services began for former President Jimmy Carter.Show Notes:Check out We Live Here Now podcast – https://tinyurl.com/msvj67bxCheck out Michael's book – https://tinyurl.com/mvvha6hpSubscribe to the What A Day Newsletter – https://tinyurl.com/3kk4nyz8What A Day – YouTube – https://www.youtube.com/@whatadaypodcastFollow us on Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/crookedmedia/For a transcript of this episode, please visit crooked.com/whataday

Unlike in 2016, this time they knew. This time the people knew exactly who Trump was, and they still voted for him. They knew who he was and they said either "I don't care" or "I want that." So now it's on them. Every anti-democratic and anti-rule of law thing Trump does is on them. Not Trump. Which is how a democracy should live or die. Hosted on Acast. SERIES 3 EPISODE 53: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:44) SPECIAL COMMENT: You are HERE - at this spot in the map of madness where the New York Times and Politico tried to get away with lying and reporting Trump's Saturday Arnold Palmer Penis Length monologue – the first thing he has seemed actually INTERESTED in, in weeks - was just ‘telling golf stories.' You are HERE - where Howard Kurtz actually held Trump more accountable than the Times or Politico or nearly every major news organization. You are HERE where the Times has been front row for one of the greatest unprecedented political stories in human history – just on a sell-more-newspapers, first draft of history level – I mean it's up there with the rise of Hitler and the mid-press conference suicide of the Pennsylvania State Treasurer and the death of President Faure of France with his mistress atop him and both of them atop the presidential desk – the Madness of King Trump – and the Times could have owned this story for all time but the Sulzberger-Kahn idea of how to cover this presidential race was to finally look at the Trump Penis Envy and try to explain or analyze it and come up with only two possible explanations: frustration or a desire to entertain. Not: Trump is a full-on KKK level racist and a rapist-in-spirit if not in absolute literal legal fact, and/or Trump is absolutely, positively nuts. You are HERE where Nate Silver predicts Kamala Harris will win the popular vote, win the Electoral College - and still lose the election. Where the polls in Michigan have her behind by half a point OR ahead by eight. You are HERE where a putatively STRAIGHT man Trump spends an awful lot of time talking about other men's penises and using expletives to demean women, and where Trump drags in a really damaged former SportsCenter co-anchor of mine named Sage Steele and makes her the emcee of one of his staged events and the crowd BOOS HER and he MISPRONOUNCES her name. Journalism. Use it or lose it. On January 20th. Mr. Sulzberger, you and your Times executives and editors will have helped end democracy in America or damn near done so. Those of us who survive will remember. B-Block (20:26) SPECIAL COMMENT: So why are we in this horrific place? How are we one week and one day to the election and how is it possible that the polls show anything other than a double-digit lead for the party of the non-racist, able-to-read, non-conspiracy theory candidate? The answer is two words: Mike Tyson. It was trainer Cus D'Amato and his associate Kevin Rooney who perfected managing Tyson's medication in such a way that they could keep him stable nearly all the time, and then gradually lower his dose in the weeks and days before a fight so that all his maniacal energy would appear IN the ring. And then in 1988, two men stepped in to try to take over Mike Tyson's contract and Mike Tyson's life: Don King and Donald Trump. King said Tyson should be making millions more than he did under Rooney and manager Bill Cayton, and Trump showed Tyson the world of jet-setters. When Tyson complained that the drugs he needed to keep life manageable made him sleepy and uncomfortable and unhappy, Trump told Tyson: Why are you TAKING them? You are the youngest heavyweight champion in history, you can do what you WANT, you tell THEM what drugs you'll take. They don't know you and who knows if the drugs really do you any good? You're not the troubled kid any more, you're an adult man, a champion, a God. Dump these idiots making money off you and come with me and Don King and we won't make you take those drugs! Today? America is the Mike Tyson of 1988. C-Block (28:00) GOOD NIGHT AND GOOD LUCKSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

SERIES 2 EPISODE 220: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:44) SPECIAL COMMENT: Finally somebody has said SOMETHING confirming we don't have any idea whether Trump was hit by a bullet or a piece of bubble gum during what was - unquestionably - the assassination attempt, now nearly two weeks ago. And the doubt is from no less a figure than the head of the FBI, in Congressional testimony day before yesterday that got almost no attention for hours after he gave it. This led to considerable umbrage from Ex-Doctor Congressman Ronny Glug Glug Jackson of Texas who insists he saw the wound (of course it was the next day) even as video emerges of him explaining his own nephew was near Trump and suffered minor superficial injuries from... debris evidently thrown up by a bullet hitting something. Something that is ever more certainly NOT Trump. ALSO: Superb polling numbers for Kamala Harris from The New York Times (Biden was behind by six; she is behind by one), Morning Consult (she is now ahead by one) and Change Polls (It was Trump by four over Biden. It is now Harris by one over Trump). The Times had to find some disaffected Democrat and somehow found a confidence trickster (literally, she went to prison over a fake finger-in-the-chili thing) and quoted her. The Times has jumped the shark. I AM BEGINNING TO THINK TRUMP WILL DUMP JD VANCE. It's not just the couch embarrassment (So-fa, so-good) or the horrible approval numbers. This video of him complaining that Harris has 'no skin in the game' because she's not a biological parent? So - Lindsey Graham has no skin the game? Tim Scott? George Washington? And maybe best of all, there is a new nickname for Vice President Harris and the momentum she's building: Kamalot. It's courtesy Trump's second worst press secretary, the imbecilic Kayleigh McEnany, who is convinced it's an insult. This person has had one good idea in her life - this is it - and she's disowning it.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Speaking at the NAACP National Convention, President Joe Biden took to the stage and played off a term that former President Donald Trump used during a debate referring to Black jobs. “Here's what he thinks of Black jobs. I love his phrase, Black jobs. Folks, I know what a Black job is. It's the Vice President of the United States,” Biden said. He then took the time to tout his record. “The first bill I passed included $1,400 checks, plus $300 checks per child, per family, per month, in the pockets of people in this country; to get them through the pandemic. Not Trump's administration; Kamala and I did that. We cut Black child poverty in half. We grew the American economy to the strongest in the world. And I'm determined to make that tax cut permanent.” Biden has made several speeches and appearances since his debate with former President Donald Trump, which had many people wondering if he was going to stay in the race. However, Biden has pushed back against all claims of stepping down and says he is ready to continue to deliver for the American people. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Show Notes and Transcript The current Israeli-Gaza war has sparked much debate focussing on geo politics and historical land disputes. But few dare ask if Islam is the root cause of the ongoing tension. Robert Spencer has studied Islam for 3 decades. His dozens of books and the Jihad Watch website are all go to sources of background information on Islam and the history behind it. He returns to Hearts of Oak to ask if this is a religious problem and we start by looking at what Islam actually says about the Jews. The aggression and vitriol throughout Islamic text and the history of behaviour towards the Jewish people is an eye opener to all of us. Armed with this deeper understanding Robert then touches on how the term Palestinian was invented. The history, leader, flag and culture had to be invented as it was all non existent before. His short book "The Palestinian Delusion" goes into much more detail and is a recommended read. Enjoy the interview and get ready to see this current conflict in a whole new light. 'The Palestinian Delusion: The Catastrophic History of the Middle East Peace Process' on Amazon https://amzn.eu/d/cPigAab Robert Spencer is the director of Jihad Watch and a Shillman Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center. He is the author of twenty-seven books, including the New York Times bestsellers The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam, The Truth About Muhammad and the bestsellers The History of Jihad From Muhammad to ISIS and The Critical Qur'an: Explained from Key Islamic Commentaries and Contemporary Historical Research. His new book is Empire of God: How the Byzantines Saved Civilization. Spencer has led seminars on Islam and jihad for the FBI, the United States Central Command, United States Army Command and General Staff College, the U.S. Army's Asymmetric Warfare Group, the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), the Justice Department's Anti-Terrorism Advisory Council and the U.S. intelligence community. He has discussed jihad, Islam, and terrorism at a workshop sponsored by the U.S. State Department and the German Foreign Ministry. He is a senior fellow with the Center for Security Policy. Robert, thank you so much for your time today. (Robert Spencer) Always good to talk to you, Peter. Thank you. Great to have you on. Always good to have guests on talking about their books. We'll get into a book that I've been delving into and got a couple of months ago, but only picked it up recently and have read it. We'll get into that in a moment. But obviously, you can find Robert: that is his Twitter handle, @jihadwatchRS. And obviously jihadwatch.org is the website. You can find everything in the links below. Make sure and use it. Make sure and sign up to it. One of the latest, I think the latest piece on that, and we're doing this just two days before the video goes out, is the U.S. Supreme Court gives Hamas-linked CAIRE a 9-0 thumbs up. And CAIR obviously is the Council on American Islamic Relations. I encourage you to delve into that, which gives some of the geopolitics, I guess, that lies behind some of the difficulties that the U.S. Faces as it engages and grapples and understands Islam, which is a massive subject. But the book that I've been delving into and enjoying is The Palestinian Delusion. Short book, 200 pages. And if you want to understand what is happening at the moment in the Middle East, I would encourage you to get a hold of a copy. Available US, UK, wherever you are. The links are in the description. Grab it. And I know you'll want to get it after this interview. But , I do want to get into modern day; what is happening? But right at the beginning, chapter two; chapter one is about the formation of Israel. If we just go on to chapter two, does religion, specifically Islam, lie at the root of the problem? What are your thoughts, Robert? And of course, you delve into this in chapter two. Yeah, absolutely, Peter. Islam is what the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is all about. If you look at the messages from Hamas, from Palestinian Islamic Jihad, from Fatah, from the Palestinian Authority itself, they are all about Islam all the time. Yet that is the one aspect of this conflict that is universally ignored by policy analysts and by policymakers in the West. Every attempt at a negotiated settlement initiated by the President of the United States or any other entity over the last 50 years has completely ignored, 100% ignored, Islam as a factor in this conflict. And yet, from the standpoint of the Palestinian Arabs, that's what it is all about, and we ignore it to our own detriment. Now, chapter two is entitled The Roots of the hatred of Israel. Hatred is a very strong word, Robert, is it not? Yes, but it's entirely accurate in this case, because what we are dealing with is not only a hatred, but what has been termed the longest hatred, that is the hatred of the Jews, which of course is not solely the province of Muslims or Islam, but, many people in the West don't realize that there even is such a thing as Islamic anti-Semitism. Yet, it is very real and it is at the roots of the problem between Israel and the Palestinian Arabs today. Now, we all hear the term Islam being one of the great Abrahamic religions, and yet there doesn't seem to be a lot of love for the Jews in Islam in the text and the history. Do you want to just let us know; because that is a different side that many people will certainly not hear in the legacy media. Yes. Islam, the Quran teaches that Islam is the third revelation after the revelation of the Torah and the Gospel. That is the core scriptures of the Jews and the Christians, and that it confirms the message of the Torah and the Gospel. And that Moses and Abraham before him, and Jesus after him, and all the other prophets in the Bible, in both the Jewish and the Christian scriptures, are people who taught Islam. Islam was the original religion of all the prophets. We can see this particularly in chapter 3, verse 67 of the Quran, which says Abraham was not a Jew or a Christian. He was a Muslim. And you might wonder, well, this doesn't make any sense. How could Abraham be a Muslim when Muhammad is the originator of Islam in the 7th century and Abraham is many, many centuries before that? The Islamic answer is that Islam is the original religion of all the prophets and that it was their followers who twisted their teachings to create Judaism and Christianity. The only legitimate expression of the true teachings of the prophets is Islam. And that being the case, the orthodox mainstream understanding among Muslims of Judaism and Christianity is that they have no legitimacy at all. Now, this is a very important point because, then the Quran commands Muslims to fight against and subjugate the Jews and Christians, among others. And it's in part because of their rejecting the true faith and corrupting their scriptures, although that part comes from Islamic tradition. Now, the difficulty that people have with this arises from the fact that Islamic spokesmen in the West very deceptively, frequently, refer to how much they as Muslims revere and respect figures such as Abraham and Moses and Jesus himself himself. And so Jews and Christians who are uninformed about Islam hear this and they think, isn't that wonderful? How generous and open-minded and ecumenical they are. And we should do the same. We should reciprocate by acknowledging Muhammad as a prophet. And they don't realize that the Muslims do revere and respect Abraham and Moses and Jesus and the rest of them, but as Muslims, not as they are portrayed in Judaism and Christianity. I mean, everything seems to be on the terms of Islam. I knew your book: Did Muhammad Exist? Actually, I think we need to remind ourselves of the world that Muhammad, if he did exist, was born into, which wasn't an Islamic world as we know today. It was a very different world. Yes. North Africa, the Middle East, what we think of today as the heart of the Islamic world, those were Christian lands. They were 99% Christian from Morocco all the way across North Africa and throughout the Middle East. And so it was the conquest initiated by the Arabs beginning in the 630s that ultimately led to the Islamization of those various nations and the steady diminishment of the Christian population. But, it's important to keep in mind, Peter, that the Christian population did not decline because the Christians were gradually convinced of the truth and beauty of Islam. Rather, they were subjugated, as the Quran directs, under the hegemony of Islamic law and denied basic rights in the societies that had been conquered. And the only thing they had to do to free themselves from the oppression of living with this denial of rights was to convert to Islam. And so many people did over the centuries, such that, for example, Egypt was 99% Christian when the Arabs invaded, and now it's about 10% Christian. The Christians didn't all leave. They just converted to Islam over time, because of the pressure placed on non-Muslims. Well, maybe as the world talks about repatriations, especially in the BLM movement, maybe Christians need to get some of that from Egypt. Yes. If there were real reparations for slavery and for oppression, then yes, the Christian population of the entire Middle East and North Africa would be owed an immense amount of money. But nobody's talking about that. I guess we hear the term anti-Semitism and we're told that any feeling of anti-Semitism from Islam is purely misplaced and doesn't lie at the heart of it and this seems to be this distinction between kind of rogue Islamic preachers, but actually key text and that seems, I think commentators seem to want to make a wide gap between that. Yet, as you point out, this term anti-Semitism, it lies right at the basis of Islam from 1300, 1400 years ago. Yes, absolutely. The Qur'an says in chapter 5, verse 82, that the people who are most intense in hostility to the believers will be the Jews, as well as the polytheists. Now, what this works out to in practice is that the Jews are the recipients of the most hostility from the Muslims. This is also because this is not an isolated passage, but the Quran is full of passages depicting the Jews in a negative light, depicting them as schemers who plot against the plans of Allah himself and try to foil them. Who crow about the limits on the power of Allah, saying Allah's hand is chained. That's chapter 5, verse 64. They were transformed into apes and pigs by Allah for their disobedience. That's chapter 2, verses 62 to 66, rather. Chapter 5, 59 and 60, and 7, 166. and many, many, other passages all the way through the Quran depict the Jews as being rebellious against Allah and essentially enemies of Allah. Then the Islamic tradition is even worse and the Jews are depicted as plotting against Muhammad, trying to kill Muhammad, being massacred by Muhammad and punishment for their plots to kill him. Jewish woman poisons Muhammad and this ultimately leads to his death and so on. They're the real villains of the entire tradition. And this carries through to the modern age where Judaism and Jews are so stigmatized in the Islamic world that several ex-Muslims have spoken about moving to America or moving to Europe and encountering actual Jews for the first time and being shocked that they were not evil, horned creatures, devils in human form, trying to disrupt human society in every way, but just ordinary people like everybody else, some good, some bad. And they had no frame of reference to understand this, because Islam is so unanimous and monochromatic in depicting them as evil. I think if someone is watching this as a Christian, they will understand the Bible as the text that they live by, which is full of stories, explains things, not really chronological, but actually, you can read it and you can grasp a lot of its meaning. And that stands by itself outside the Christian traditions, really. Islam seems to be quite different. It seems to be not not only is the Qur'an actually impossible to understand, but actually seemingly is only supposedly, understandable. With a wealth of other writings, which seems to confuse things massively for anyone coming from a Christian background or from the West. That's right, Peter. The Qur'an in the first place is written, in many cases it tells the stories that it tells. In a way that makes it clear that it assumes that the hearers have heard them before and are familiar with the general outlines of the story. So, it leaves out important aspects of the stories, and many times it is speaking about incidents, and events, and not explaining what incident or event is involved. It's as if you were talking to a friend and I walked up and I didn't know either of you very well and didn't know what you what incidents you were talking about, and you didn't pause to explain it to me. I would have no idea what you're what you're discussing, and that's what reading the Quran is like in many ways. So, you have the voluminous hadith literature: hadith means report and it's the reports of Mohammed's words and deeds. In the hadith literature you find what is known as the Asbab al-Nuzul which is the circumstances of revelation that tells the stories of what was going on at the time among the early Muslims. And Muhammad that led to the revelation of this or that passage of the Quran. And that's all very well, but this material comes from a couple of hundred years after Muhammad is supposed to have lived. And there's no trace of it existing before that. And so, it's an open question as to whether these things really give the circumstances of revelation and the Quran passage follows from that, or if these stories were put together in order to explain what is essentially a gnomic, elliptical, incoherent text. And that seems, the latter seems to be more likely. Some philologists like Christoph Luxemburg have noted that if you strip out the diacritical marks that distinguish many Arabic letters from each other, because there are 22 letters in the Arabic alphabet, but 16 are exactly the same character, just with different combinations of dots above or below. And so if you take out the dots and repoint it as if it were Aramaic, then suddenly it's a whole different text and a Christian text in many cases. And so, Luxembourg contends that it was actually a Christian text that was repurposed by the early Arab conquerors in order to create the religion of Islam. And they did this because this is actually the fundamental thesis of my own book: Did Muhammad Exist? They did this because in those days, religions were what cemented political unity. There were no parliaments or constitutions in this era when Islam arose. And you had two great powers in this region, the Byzantine Empire, which was Christian, and the Persian Empire, which was Zoroastrian. They were held together by those religions. The idea was that to be a Roman citizen at this time, a citizen of the Byzantine Empire, meant that one was a Christian and adhered to the tenets of Orthodox Christianity. Consequently, the non-Christians were not considered to be fully citizens of the empire. And this is another story, but it was the Christian identity that was the cement that held the empire together. So, the Arabs amassed a great empire, conquering massive expanses of territory, and then they developed a religion to hold it all together. And because these were warriors who wanted to expand and defend and strengthen their empire, they made their religion belligerent, aggressive, martial, warlike, expansionist, and so on. I think in chapter two, you talk about that we all know of Muslims praying to Mecca, and only then Allah can really hear the prayers properly. But you talk in the book about initially it was facing towards Jerusalem. So, was this just Muhammad wanting to be accepted? and then later on, of course, or at that time, Muhammad wanting to be a prophet. Kind of, in my thinking, that's sheer arrogance, thinking you can be a prophet to a religion you come across. Those concepts of him wanting to be a Jewish prophet, but also praying towards Jerusalem, those are two facts that seem to be missing in any dialogue today. Yes, well, it does seem as if, at least according to the canonical traditional Islamic story; that is of questionable historical value. But there's no doubt that Muslims believe it; that Muhammad taught that he was a new prophet in the line of the prophets of the Bible. And that consequently he was the new prophet of the Jews and a new prophet of the Christians. And both groups said, you're not. The Jews said, you're not Jewish. You can't be a Jewish prophet. And the Christians said, Jesus said: it is finished on the cross. We're not looking for a new prophet. And so he was rejected by both. And this has led to the kind of cognitive dissonance that the Quran says that the Jews and Christians, the Christians in particular in chapter five of the Quran will be rightly guided if they follow the gospel. And yet the Gospel does not confirm the teachings of the Qur'an as the Qur'an insists, and it insists that it confirms the teachings of the Torah also. And so Islamic spokesmen, Islamic scholars throughout the ages have accounted for this discrepancy by claiming that the Jews and Christians corrupted their scriptures. And so, they maintain that Muhammad is indeed a prophet in the line of the biblical prophets, but that it's the Jews and Christians' fault for not recognizing him. They twisted their scriptures to erase the congruence so, that people would not see that the Quran confirms the Torah and the gospel. A s a result, the Jews and Christians are portrayed as these incredible renegades and rebels against God who have dared to tamper with the very word of God that he gave them, and created false religions of their own making. And so here again, they have no legitimacy. I do want to get on to current day but, I want to there there's another concept that comes out in your book which is a widely misunderstood word and that's the word jihad, and we are told jihad is inner struggle. It's a spiritual struggle between yourself trying to be right and to be good and live correctly. Yet, jihad is a term that's used in violence all across the world. What is this term, jihad? The primary understanding of jihad in Islamic theology is warfare against unbelievers in order to bring them under the hegemony of Islamic law. The confusion arises from the fact that jihad means struggle, and there are as many things that are referred to as struggles in Arabic as there are in English. And so you can have great struggles and small struggles. You can struggle to be on time for appointments when you're chronically late, but you can also have a great struggle between civilizations, such as World War II or something. Now, in the Islamic realm, it's the same thing. The Islamic Republic of Iran has a department of agricultural jihad, which doesn't involve blowing things up on farms. It involves trying to struggle to increase the efficiency of the farms and their fruitfulness. Whereas in Islamic theology, the principal meaning of jihad has to do with this warfare against unbelievers. So, here again, Islamic spokesmen in the West frequently confuse people. They're trying to confuse them and make them complacent about the jihad threat by saying jihad just means struggle. And it's about struggling to better yourself. And they don't tell you that Muhammad said the warfare against unbelievers is the highest understanding of jihad, that there's nothing greater than jihad in which one loses one's life and then is rewarded with paradise. In the book, you use a number of examples of what we would call hit preachers. This is in 45, the Hamas deputy minister of religious endowments on Al-Aqsa TV 2010 said: the Jews suffer from a mental disorder because they are thieves and aggressors. A thief or aggressor who took land or property develops a psychological disorder and pangs of conscience because he took someone that wasn't his. And then the next page, you have a from 2018, a program on Palestinian Authority television saying people could be deluded or think that they have no way out with the Jews. The liberation of this land is a matter of faith, which will happen despite everyone. And then the next page up, the Jews are treacherous and conniving cheaters. But again, the argument, many of the guests I have on would not look at Islam as an issue, as a problem. And they would simply say those are misguided, radical preachers, and they don't understand the true, beautiful nature of Islam. How do you speak against that criticism, I guess, that you're maybe picking things out and you're looking at these preachers that actually don't understand Islam, really? Well, in the first place, I find it difficult to believe that people who have committed their lives to understanding Islam correctly would not understand it correctly. While non-Muslims who've never picked up a Quran or have any idea what it says, they understand it perfectly well. Islam is kind of funny in that way that the more you know about it, the less you understand it. And the less you know about it, the more you understand it. We see this with non-Muslim politicians all over the West who assure us with immense confidence that Islam is a religion of peace that has nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism. Those are actually the exact words from Hillary Clinton a few years back, but many, many other politicians say exactly the same thing. And I know that Hillary Clinton doesn't have the first foggiest idea of what the Koran teaches, whereas I, who have read the Koran dozens and dozens of times, committed a great deal of it to memory. Published a translation and commentary of it that's my own, and have studied Islamic theology for 40 years, now. They would say, well, you don't understand Islam at all. And even more to the point, these Muslim clerics who've attended Al-Azhar or other prestigious Islamic institutions and and spend their whole lives trying to understand the Quran and the Islam properly, and they don't get it at all. So, in the first place, it's absurd. But in the second place, what these people said that you quoted, like the fellow who said the Jews are treacherous, conniving, cheaters, that's just Quranic theology. If you read what the Quran says about the Jews, just get a Quran, don't even read the whole thing. Get one with a good index and read all the passages about the Jews. And you will see that every last one of them is negative. Every last one of them portrays the Jews as scheming and conniving and cheating the righteous people. And so this is the prism through which these clerics see the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. They understand it through the lens of the Qur'an, because they believe that the Qur'an is the perfect word of the perfect being that is valid for all times and all places in all situations. They see the world today and they see Israel and the Palestinians. And the first place they will go to understand all that is the Quran, because they would trust Allah over any human authority, telling them what the conflict is all about. The Quran tells them over and over that the Jews are evil and enemies of Allah. So, they see Israel and they think, here are the evil Jews who are enemies of Allah. Even, the fact that they refer to Jews and not to Israelis or to Zionists or some other term of that kind indicates that they're seeing this through theological principles. And those theological principles are deeply anti-Semitic. Well, bringing us up to the present day, for over 2,000 years, the Jews did not have their homeland there in the land that is Israel. And it was under all different, we'll not go into the history, all different, I guess, occupying forces or other forces. And then 1948 happens and the Jewish homeland, modern day Israel, is founded again. And immediately, and this is chapter three, you talk about the jihad of 1948,which is an interesting term. Why that title? Well, the whole thing is a jihad from 1948, from before 1948, when the Zionist settlement began in the late 19th century. Even before that, because there there were always Jews in the Holy Land, and they were always subject to sporadic, periodic attacks. Now, after the Zionism began, these attacks intensify because in the first place, the Ottomans were alarmed when they owned the land that the Jews were moving in, because they thought that it would threaten their hegemony over it. Then when the Ottoman Empire fell, the League of Nations, the precursor to the United Nations, gave Britain the mandate for Palestine to establish a Jewish national home. Now, why did the Arabs object to a Jewish national home? There were already large Arab states right there neighboring this territory. And so it should have been and could have been. A relatively peaceful and orderly process once the Jewish national home was actually founded. After World War II, Germany lost massive territories in the East because it fought a war of aggression and lost. And for reasons of national security, the Poles, the Soviets, and the French in the West took various territories from the Germans. The Germans who who lived in those areas, were sent to what remained of Germany. Nobody complained. Nobody raises, nowadays, some right of return or speaks about occupied German territory in Poland and Russia. It would be absurd even to think about. But it's the exact same situation with Israel. The Arabs of Lebanon, of Syria, and of Jordan are identical ethnically, culturally, linguistically, and religiously with the Palestinian Arabs. There has never been a distinct Palestinian nationality. That's a propaganda creation that was designed to be a weapon to use against Israel. So, when you have Arabs who leave, they did not actually get kicked out. They left because the Arab League told them to leave in 1948, because the Arab states neighboring Israel were going to crush it within weeks. Then they would be out of the line of fire and could return home after Israel was destroyed. It didn't work that way, because Israel actually turned out to win the war. The Arab states, after that happened, could have easily absorbed these populations. And there would be no problem today, just like there's no problem in Europe today, in regard to the German refugees after World War II. And yet they did not do that because they they wanted to keep the Palestinian refugees as stateless, as refugees, as a weapon to beat Israel with. This is what became the linchpin for what I referred to as the Jihad of 1948. The Jihad, because the Quran says in chapter 2, verse 191: drive them out from where they drove you out. It's a myth, as I just noted, it's a myth that the the Israelis drove the Arabs out. It's not a fact, but it's what the Arabs all over the Middle East and the non-Arab Muslims are taught about what happened. So, that is because it triggers the divine command, drive them out from where they drove you out. They have to have been driven out for that to kick in as being applicable. So, now millions of Muslims, Arab and non-Arab, are taught that they must drive out the Israelis, because the Muslims were driven out. It's a divine command, no less than the Ten Commandments for Christians. Consequently, it is a jihad because if it were not for these religious principles that are rooted in Islam and the Quran, the problem would have been solved by negotiations decades ago. But no negotiated settlement ever succeeds, because you don't negotiate away divine commandments. Well, that negotiated settlement, two-term, two-state solution is the phrase that comes up, and you touch on that in that chapter. And we're told this is the way to fix all the problems, if only we can come up with this mythical two-state solution. Why is that then not the solution to the issue that the world faces in the Middle East? A two-state solution would require two states. That requires at least ostensibly that the Arabs have to acknowledge that a Jewish state of some size has a right to exist there and they will never accept that, because the divine command has driven them out from where they drove you out. That does not admit of half measures. It might admit of partial fulfilment that they take over half of Israel and then the other half later. But it doesn't allow for the recognition of the right to exist of any non-Muslim entity on that land. Consequently, the Jewish state could be the size of my office here. The Jewish state could be the size of a postage stamp, and it would not be acceptable, because they have have to drive them out from where they drove you out without any exceptions. The negotiation, the two-state solution would quickly become, or even eventually, even slowly become, a one-state solution. The Palestinian state would make war against what's left of Israel and ultimately destroy it. There would never be two states in that land on an indefinite basis. In your book, one of the chapters talks about the naivety of Carter. Seemingly, every U.S. president has accepted this. Even Trump has accepted; has stated that actually he sees that as the best solution. Is that simply an absolute misunderstanding that this is a religious ideology that lies at the root of all this? Yeah, absolutely. It's because nobody in Washington knows or wants to know about the power and influence of Islam over political issues. They underestimated and misunderstood Khomeini when it was the time of the Islamic Revolution in Iran in 1979. And since 1948, they have misunderstood the Israeli-Arab conflict, because they don't understand Islam. They routinely discount it as having anything to do with this conflict. And yet, it's right there in the Hamas charter. Israel will arise and will remain until Islam obliterates it. Islam obliterates it. And yet, no policymaker, no president, not Carter, not any of the others. Not Trump. None of them have ever pondered. What does that mean until Islam obliterates it? How can Islam obliterate a country? That doesn't even make any sense to the policymakers in Washington, because they think of Islam solely as a religion, and they think of it because they come from Judeo-Christian backgrounds. The way Christianity operates in the West. They assume it's like that, and so, they have no idea of its political, aggressive, expansionist, and supremacist aspects. In chapter four, you say the Palestinians are invented. That's a very strong statement. Surely, we've had the land of Palestine back in the Roman era. That's surely 2,000 years old. So, there must be all this history and people: the Palestinians. Well, I'll tell you, Peter, you're right, and yet not. And I know you know. It's true. The Romans renamed the land of Judea, that is, land of the Jews. They renamed Judea Palestine in 134 AD. And they officially expelled the Jews from the area, although many of them stayed all the way through to the modern age. Now, Palestine was a name they had taken from the Bible, from the Philistines, the ancient enemies of the Israelites, in the Jewish scriptures. And they named it Palestine. They named Judea Palestine as a yet another taunt against the Jews as they were expelling them from the region. They renamed the region against their extinct enemies. But, there were never any Palestinians. And I would ask you, you know. You can find on YouTube, for example, the men on the street interviews, and people are even Palestinians are asked, name a famous Palestinian from history. And they all say Yasser Arafat. Okay, name another. If they were Palestinian since 134 AD, then, okay, name one. Give us one from the second century or the fifth or the 10th or the 15th or the 19th. There weren't any. It was the name of a region. It's like Los Angeles. Los Angeles is a city in the United States. And there are citizens of Los Angeles, but if we start talking about a distinct Los Angeles nationality that deserves its own state, people would laugh. It's the name of the city. And Palestine was the name of this region, but there were never any Palestinians. It was just the name of a place. The idea that it's a distinct nationality was invented by Arafat and the KGB in 1964. And they did it as a propaganda weapon because the whole world in those days was sympathetic to Israel. The Israelis, because they had faced off and defeated massive nations. Arab and non-Arab Muslim nations, and had stood against them even though they were vastly outnumbered and outgunned. They gained the sympathy of the entire world. And so, the KGB in Arafat in 1964 renamed the Palestine Liberation Organization, the PLO, the Palestinian Liberation Organization. Very small change and nobody even noticed, but it was a momentous change, because it indicated for the first time in history that there was a people called Palestinians. And now the whole world accepts it and takes it for granted, but this is an invented nationality that was designed to create an even tinier people that was menaced by the massive Israeli war machine. And that would take the wind out of the sails of Israel, the tiny underdog Jewish state facing off against these massive Arab states. And it's worked very well. Even the Israelis have admitted or accepted the existence of Palestinians as a distinct nationality when there has never been such a people in history. You can go to 1948. Go to the library, read the newspapers from the day. Read the United Nations deliberations when they offered the Arabs half of the area of Israel. We're going to establish yet another Arab state and a Jewish state. And the Arabs said no, because they wouldn't accept a Jewish state of any size. Nobody ever mentions Palestinians. It's funny, because they're the center of the conflict now. And yet, in those days, it was the Israeli-Arab conflict. There was not a single mention anywhere of Palestinians. I mean, Islam does seem to have a trend of rewriting history. And in the book you talk about a number of statements and articles referring to Jesus as a Palestinian. That would be news to Jesus, because I'm sure I read in my Bible that he was Jewish. Yeah, well, obviously this is another propaganda point that's designed to curry favour among non-Muslims with the Palestinians. Even from a historical standpoint, Jesus was not a Palestinian because it wasn't until a hundred years after Jesus that the Romans renamed the area of Judea Palestine. The Gospels are very clear. Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea. That Galilee was right there next to Judea, where he grew up in Nazareth. And he says salvation is from the Jews. A very ignored statement of his. This is very clearly someone who was operating within a Jewish framework, a Jewish culture surrounded by Jews. And even the theology of Christianity is based on the theology of Judaism, that the temple Judaism before the destruction of the temple in 70 AD was based on animal sacrifices for atonement for sins. And then Jesus is presented as being, as God become man, the eternal sacrifice and the perfect atonement for sins that opens the way of heaven for the people. This is something that really doesn't even make any sense apart from Judaism. And I think Christians nowadays are getting very carried away in this Christ is King controversy that's been going on in regard to Candace Owens and the Daily Wire and so on. It risks ignoring or denying the Jewish roots of Christianity and the fundamental kinship that Judaism and Christianity actually have, despite the undeniable antagonism and the Christian anti-Semitism that was certainly operative in Europe for centuries. Well, you're right. Without Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the stories of the Old Testament, God's promised there would be no New Testament and Jesus would not be there. 100%, Robert. Just to finish off with, the last chapter is what is to be done. And it seems from this discussion that what the conflict that we see at the moment between the Palestinians in Gaza and the Israelis is just part of the wider issue of Jews and Muslims, of Islam and Judaism. So, when you say what is to be done, how do you see looking ahead? Well, looking ahead, it doesn't look good, because the American government, which is essentially the principal, if not the sole ally of the Jewish state, is betraying Israel because the Biden regime is very afraid that it's going to lose the Muslim vote, which could lose it several swing states in the November election. And end up with Biden being defeated for re-election. So, they've decided to betray Israel as a result. They're pressing for a Palestinian state. If a Palestinian state were founded, that would, as I discussed earlier, become a new jihad base for renewed attacks against what's left of Israel. They don't seem to know or care that if Israel is destroyed, then the jihadis all around the world will be emboldened like never before, and will step up their attacks in Europe and the United States. This is what we're looking at in the future unless Israel is able to destroy Hamas despite the international pressure to get it to surrender and by surrender. I mean accept a ceasefire that would allow Hamas to live and if Israel can do that then all bets are off and the post-war picture will be radically different. But right now it looks like it's going to be very tough times ahead head, both for Israel and for the West. Well, I would encourage people to get: The Passing Delusion. It's a great book and will help explain what is happening. And of course, Robert's latest book is: The Empire of God, How the Byzantines Saved Civilization. A wonderful endorsement by Victor Davis Hanson. So, if you're not sure about Robert, go to Victor David Hanson. Robert, really appreciate you coming along. Love your work over the many decades with Jihad Watch, certainly one of my go-to places on the geopolitics and deeper. Thank you so much for your time today. Thank you. Pleasure.
This week on the pod we welcome back, Jamie Burwood! To kick off the show we get Matt's Minutia Minute before we get into a fantastic conversation between Thomas and Jamie. Thanks as always for listening. Rate and review the show!Transcript:Track 2:[0:42] Thank you so much, Doug DeNance. It is great to be here back in the SNL Hall of Fame.[0:50] Please, mind your feet, give them a wipe, use the map for what it's supposed to be for before you come into our hallowed halls. The SNL Hall of Fame podcast is a weekly affair where each episode we take a deep dive into the career of a former cast member, host, musical guest, or writer, and add them to the ballotfor your consideration.Once the nominees have been announced, we turn to you, the listener, to vote for the most deserving and help determine who will be enshrined for perpetuity inside the hall. That's how we play the game. It's really quite simple. You follow along, you vote, you celebrate or complain about who got in or who didn't get in.It's really quite a bit of fun for us.I am walking down the hallway now to talk to our good friend Matt Ardill, and we're going to get some information on who we're covering today and who will be nominating them.Wait and see. Well, you don't have to wait and see because you can read the title. And I guess the title sort of gives it away. That's right. We're talking about Jon Hamm today, and we're joined by Jamie Burwood. But before we do that, let's go to our friend Matt Ardill and get the skinny on Jon Hamm.Track 3:[2:13] Hello, Matt. Hello, JD.What's shaking, my brother? Not much, not much. I am really looking forward to today's trivia.Okay, who you got for us? John the Hamaconda Ham.He is six foot one, born March 10th, 1971 in St. Louis, Missouri. He is the son of a trucker and a secretary. He had a rough childhood growing up, which actually helped inform his backstory when he auditioned for his breakout role of Don Draper. But his first acting role was as Winnie the Pooh in a first grade production.[2:58] Oh, OK. OK, yeah, very early start. But he didn't follow that up until playing Judas on Godspell at the age of 16 at John Burroughs School, where he was the member of the football team, the baseball team and the swimteam, because, of course, he was.He actually dated actor Sarah Clark in high school. He went on to attend the University of Texas before transferring to the University of Missouri, where he answered a newspaper ad for someone to play in a production of MidsummerNight's Dream.[3:32] He's gone on to complete 118 acting credits, 10 producer credits, and he has one director credit. He almost didn't get the role of Don Draper, which I can't imagine anybody else in that role right now.But he was told by the showrunner that he was too handsome, which is not something I'm sure many people frequently hear in a like, I'm sorry, you're just too goddamn handsome for thisrole.Yeah, they reevaluated and decided that he was he was the right fit.[4:07] He rewarded he received an award nomination for Emmys for the show.Golden Globe SAG Awards, Annie Hall Awards, Critics Choice, MTV Movie and TV Awards, National Board of Review Awards, Satellite Awards, Teen Choice Awards and TelevisionCritics Association.Association um i'm guessing his teen choice was for something not mad men related there should be an acronym for all those awards like an egot you know yeah he should get some sortof uh preferential treatment in hollywood as a result of all those awards yeah they need to they need to broaden the awards like the mtv award teen choice award circuit that's right that'sright um the slimies I guess maybe I don't know that's good on television you know now before hitting it big he worked as a daycare worker and a high school teacher while teaching highschool he was actually Ellie Kemper's drama teacher and went on to help her break into the world of acting.[5:12] Um gee whiz yeah so he followed the uh harrison ford school of of acting he worked as a set dresser uh unfortunately it was in a much more risque type of cinema uh as a set dresseron adult films get out of here no yeah that is one of the many jobs he did in the valley just trying to pay the bills yeah when he moved to la he actually only had 150 in his pocket and didnot book a single gig for three years. He stretched that $150 then, didn't he? Yeah, well, he worked as a set dresser for adult films, so he was taking any job that came his way.He actually set a career sort of deadline that if he didn't book something big, a breakout role by 30, he was going to move home. Now, he did make that breakout role, and he's now gone on to star in all sorts of things. While filming a young doctor's diary with daniel radcliffe he became an ardent cricket fan he has been a comedy nerd from the go yeah he's often seen on set quoting anchorman and.[6:25] Amy poehler uh has recounted in her biography how when she was pregnant and he was coming on the show they were in makeup and she heard that her doctor had passed away shehad a freak out was was completely losing her mind because she was panicking he grabbed he took her by the shoulders looked her dead in the eye and said you know this is very sad.[6:48] This is a really important show for me, so I'm going to need you to get your shit together. At which point, she started laughing so hard, she almost, well, she says she peed herself. But this is one of those moments that she says, you know, when somebody is so funny, they make you go from crying to laughing in a heartbeat. And something that can only happen like five times in your life.[7:12] He's so good. Have you ever listened to him on Comedy Bang Bang? Yes. Yeah. He's just got perfect, that perfect sense of timing and the counterpoint to like going dark and going light and how to break that tension. Yeah.So he's just, I think he's severely underrated as a comedic talent.Well, I mean, less so now. I mean, he's kind of embraced it.I mean, his Skip the Dishes ads are actually like super funny, which is like.Great. you think a big star but like taking a gig doing ads for a food delivery service in canada not even uber eats but specifically a canadian one so it's like like people aren't gonna see itin the states i don't know but uh yeah he's just a super funny dude and i'm really looking forward to hearing um what what we have to have to hear today yeah me too we're fortunate to bebe joined by a friend of the show, Jamie Burwood.[8:09] And gosh, I don't know how many times she's been on at this point, but she should be wearing a full robe and, I don't know, boots or something like that at this point.I have to get like scepters for... Oh, that's good.Scepters. I love it. Well, Thomas, take it away, buddy.Track 4:[8:56] All right, Matthew R. Dill and Jamie Du, thank you so much for that introduction.Informative, as always. You guys do such a great job with Matt's Minutia Minute. This has been a really great season of the SNL Hall of Fame in general.Matt's Minutia Minute is going great. I feel like we've had a lot of great discussions this season. So I think we're off and running. We're humming in this season. And it's going to continue that way in this episode because we are welcoming a guest who I told her before we hit record, you're part of the fabric of the show at this point. You're like a really special guest, like one of our VIPs at this point. So Jamie Burwood, thank you so much for coming back here in Season 5 of the SNL Hall of Fame.TV show graphs herself, Jamie Burwood, how are you?I am doing great. It is good to be here again. Season 5, that's wild.[9:54] Yeah, always love, love talking to you guys. I feel like we have a good one on deck for today. So yeah, no, it's great to see you. Yeah, we've really done some fun ones in the past. Will Ferrell, Christopher Walken. We've really just had really fun and very, very, very entertaining nominees. And I would classify our nominee today just that a really interesting nominee.Nominee and you're like the one of the perfect people to cover this nominee before we get actually before we get to the nominee who's TV related what have you been up to JamieBurwood just, Just in general, are you doing, I know you had the TV show Graphs. How's that been going? What have you been up to?Yeah, I know. Things have been going good here. I've been, I'll be honest, I've been a little slower on the actual graphing side lately.I still have a few things I've been working on, but I have been catching up on a lot of television.I feel like I go through like twigs of either like TV watching and then actually like working on projects. And I have been, yeah, knee deep in lots of TV watching, catching up on some like anthology type stuff, a little True Detective, Fargo, that type of genre at the moment.[11:14] And just, I mean, it's winter in Boston, so there's really not a lot to do other than watch TV, occasionally sneak away for like some weekend trips here, trying to get to places that areslightly less cold.Um but yeah otherwise just just live in life here in the very cold city of boston.[11:35] Yeah catching up on tv that's i think that's a great way to spend time and uh our so our nominee today made his bones essentially in a prestige television show i would call it it's amadman arguably by a lot of tv show experts and viewers one of the handful one of the four or five possibly greatest television shows of all time.So Jon Hamm is our nominee for today. A really interesting one, again, to me.[12:06] Jamie, were you a Mad Men watcher? I was.I wasn't watching it live as it was airing. It was probably like right as it was wrapping up that I started watching it from the start. So it's not one where I can say like, oh, I was so ahead of the curve on this one or I was watching before everyone else. Sadly, I was not, but as soon as I watched it, I absolutely loved it.It is probably a top 10 all-time show for me.It's one that I think just you can watch it and re-watch it and still catch new things.I feel like the caliber of performances, the caliber of storytelling, it is an all-time great show, and I know sometimes there can be a little bit of backlash from prestige prestige TV or like, Ifeel like Mad Men is one of those shows that always is on high on some of those lists. But for me, it's, it's deserving. And I think Jon Hamm in particular made that show what it was.[13:07] Yeah, amazing show. I know some people and I include myself in this.It took me Mad Men took me probably four different tries to get going. So I would watch the pilot, maybe watch the second episode, then I would almost sort of lose interest. But the fourth time that I tried to get into Mad Men, it worked. And I finished Mad Men in like two months, I just could not stop watching.Every time I had some downtime, I would throw on another episode of Mad Men.I just got completely hooked, and you're right. Jon Hamm's performance as Don Draper was one of the huge reasons. Can you describe what Jon had to do on screen as Don Draper? What kind of character was Don Draper? What did Jon Hamm have to be on screen for that?[13:56] Absolutely, yeah. I feel like with Don Draper, he definitely fits the mold of those anti-hero. You feel like there's a lot behind the surface with the character.I mean, at face value, he's this 1960s ad-exact kind of the smooth talker, has the wife and family at home. And then as the show goes on, you kind of see all that's behind the surface here in terms of, I mean, the very obvious things around the affairs, the drinking, just the whole culture. But also in terms of his family history, I won't give any spoilers, but you just kind kind of learn that there are so many different layers to who he is and why he does the things that he doesand one of those characters that you really have a kind of complex relationship with in terms of how you feel about you can go from being like oh my gosh I feel so bad for this person Ihave sympathy based on situations in their past to feeling like oh my gosh this person is unjustified in their actions, and I absolutely hate this character. He does it in a way where you really get some of those subtle nuances coming out in his performance, and I just think it's a top-tier performance.[15:12] Yeah, and he had to be really subtle, too, like you said. Especially he had to use facial expressions, but really subtle facial expressions. His tone of voice had to be a certain way.Especially in the earlier seasons, he had to play it a lot more stoic. Yeah. And as the series progressed, he was a little more animated. But especially at the beginning of the series, there was almost like this enigma.I mean, that was probably part of the point. But this enigma, and Jon Hamm had to play it like that. So there wasn't really a lot of time for slapstick comedy in his performance, right? And so what makes him a really compelling SNL host is that he came from that dramatic background with Mad Men that really got Jon Hamm on the scene. And I'm wondering, because as an SNL viewer, Jamie, I mean, how fun is it to feel surprised by a host? because I feel a lot of people were surprised by Jon Hamm.So as an SNL viewer, how fun is that when you see a host and they surprise you?Like to me, it's one of the things that makes following the show so rewarding.[16:22] Agreed. Yeah, I think it's one of the best things, right?Like it's there are times when you go into a host and you know what to expect. And that's great. And that's solid. But I feel like those like really special moments come when you go in, you're not sure what to expect.Or maybe you see a host known for one genre and you're not sure are they going to be able to deliver on the comedy side and I feel like with with John John Hamm in particular like hewas somebody who was known dramatic actor at that point and maybe a question of how will this go how will he hack it in in a true kind of live sketch comedy atmosphere and.[17:02] And that is one of the most fun things about this show.I always have to learn my lesson time and time again, that a lot of times the really good dramatic actors are some of the best SNL hosts. For sure. Like, yeah, I can totally see an alternate universe where Jon Hamm was a comedic actor.I mean, maybe his looks might be a little bit of a detriment.I feel like figuring out the right way to, like, cast him in comedic roles.Roles but i mean i think it it happened that mad men became a very successful tv show and that's how people were introduced to him but in an alternate universe maybe a comedic rolewould have been his breakout and then we would have been surprised to see him do a show like mad men 10 years into his career and be like oh my gosh this hilarious guy is also anincredible actor so it's just kind of funny how it how it works out yeah i agree with you the tape it could have been been total reverse we found out over the years that John really enjoyscomedy I mean he's been he had a role in Bridesmaids that was really funny like while he was playing Don Draper he was he was uh Kristen Wiig's uh jerk boyfriend yeah in Bridesmaidshe's been on comedy podcasts he's really good at comedy improv that's like something that John's expressed over the years and.[18:18] About how he really enjoys comedy. He almost just sort of, the Don Draper thing is almost like the thing that took off.But you're right. He could have very easily taken off as a comedic actor. For sure. You see a spark in him, I feel like, whenever he does any sort of comedic role. And I think people have maybe started to see that side of him a little bit more so over the last decade or so.He's done various guest spots, 30 Rock, Curb Your Enthusiasm.[18:45] Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.Like he's had these roles where not necessarily the star of a comedy show, but able to shine in that type of role. And you just you see that other side of him right away. Oh, my gosh. This is a guy who no question can do comedy. He's great at it. Yeah. People like Tina Fey, SNL Hall of Famer Tina Fey are giving their stamp of approval with Jon Hamm. You mentioned 30 Rock, Unbreakable, Kimmy Schmidt. uh yeah he's getting like the the approval of people who really know their stuff with comedy so snl was maybe his first the firsttime that people got to see john ham's comedic chops so so that's why the uh john ham and snl that that's an interesting part of his story as an actor so we'll get to it gonna kind of like lookat some of his he hosted three times so we'll kind of look Look at his hosting gigs. His first one, season 34, episode 6.That was October 25, 2008.So it was maybe the second season, I feel like, of Mad Men that was kicking up. So musical guest Coldplay. And Jamie, this, I really, I'll say up top, when I saw this episode, I really enjoyed it.So I feel like there's a lot of stuff that we can.[20:08] Go over and choose from like what stood out to you uh you could make a specific sketch but like what stood out to you uh first and foremost from this episode yeah so what'sinteresting to me about this episode is just kind of the context in which it's taking place first so you have john ham coming in not necessarily the giant name john ham that we know nowright like madman i think took a little bit of time to kind of have the critical acclaimed bill and to have everyone and know it the way that they know it now.So he's coming in a little bit more of an unknown than he is today.[20:42] He's talked a little bit about this episode in terms of just like his own nerves and like excitement to host, but also being nervous, like going out, doing that monologue. He was telling a story at one point about how he almost missed his cue to actually go out and like almost had to be like pushed out.And I mean, once once the episode kicks off, I feel like he's he's a pro and like the professional Jon Hamm who does everything brilliantly comes out.But yeah, it's just it's a little bit crazy to me in a good way how he pivoted from apparently being so nervous to doing everything he needs to do to just deliver on the sketches in thisepisode.Yeah, there was a little bit of nervous energy, which is to be expected when you're hosting SNL. But it's kind of funny to see somebody like Jon Hamm, especially somebody who playedDon Draper, to be a little bit rattled by an experience. So I love seeing the human side of somebody like Jon Hamm. Not everyone has discovered our show yet.So tonight, in hopes of boosting our ratings, I'd like to tell you what you'll see if you tune in.[21:51] Mad Men is a measured period piece set in the early 1960s that explores the social mores of advertising executives who, well, who like to dance with the stars. It's a cutthroat elimination celebrity dance-off show, and it's on AMC, 10 p.m. on Sundays. days. The show stars me, everyone from CSI, all of the Phillies and the Rays. He's almost like this good looking robot actor in some ways.So it's fun to see the human side of it. And he was in a lot of...[22:32] Pretty classic sketches from that season, all in one episode. This was from SNL.SNL fans really enjoyed this episode. Is there a particular sketch that you think we should start by talking about?Yeah, so I feel like I have to start with Trick or Treat, and maybe it's a cop-out going a little bit chronologically, but I think it's interesting because we were talking about how he comesout, was maybe a little bit nervous, his first time hosting a gig, you can maybe start to see a little bit of that. But I feel like with this sketch, and so this is the Jeff Montgomery, it's a classic Halloween sketch.Folks have probably seen it, but you have Will Forte in the kind of creepy, is he a pedophile? Is he not?Kind of interplay with John Hamm.[23:22] John Hamm just crushes this. And I mean, obviously, he's more of the straight man in this, but such an important part and you were talking earlier about his like facial reactions during mad men and just how he bringsthat you see that in this sketch and a i'm super impressed that he didn't just break a million times in this sketch because it is so hilarious and b not only did he not break i feel like he bringsthat kind of professionalism into this in a way that just makes the whole thing work so yeah i'm curious what you think about this one i feel like this This is a top tier sketch for a lot ofpeople.Oh, no, this is a classic one. And it's a very much like it's a Will Forte showcase. And it really plays in Will Forte's really twisted, dark, weird sense of humor sometimes. But you're absolutely right about Jon Hammond, his acting ability. And I think a sketch like this, this is where being a very good actor can really help elevate a sketch.Because you're right. He had to play the facial expressions just right. He had to go from...[24:28] Being annoyed by Jeff Montgomery to kind of feeling bad that he was annoyed to then start to catch on about what the game was.Let's just let's just be clear on something here is is sex offender your Halloween costume or are you fulfilling a legal obligation to declare yourself a sex offender?Bob lighten up it's Halloween![24:48] Besides this is a tradition you know I do this every time i move to a new town are you jeff montgomery a sex offender am i jeff montgomery a registered sex offender on halloweenyes what about not on halloween yes even when it's not halloween i'm still jeff montgomery a sex offender look you're missing the point he had to play that just right so you're he's kind ofthe voice of us you're just kind of sitting there going like Like, is he going to ask these questions? And Jon Hamm, he's not a dumb neighbor. He's a neighbor that's picking up on this. So this is such good acting.I feel like Jamie, and this is what I was talking about as far as like these dramatic, quote unquote, dramatic actors or people who we know as dramatic actors. This is where the really good actors can elevate sketches. And I shouldn't be surprised, but this is yet another example of that.Yep, absolutely. Yeah, I feel like this is a sketch where the material was great so it would have been fun if it was a little more chaotic or he was breaking or all this stuff. There's a place for that. But I love that this sketch just comes across as super professional, well-delivered, well-executed comedy and I think that played a big role in how folks received itand just the...[26:12] The place that I think it has in SNL history and thinking about like the Halloween compilations and everything, this is is always right up there. And I think one of one of the best, maybe even the best Halloween sketch.Definitely, definitely at the top for me. Yeah, for me, too. It's up there. And I feel like this episode for Jon had like an interesting trajectory. It almost felt like they sort of ramped him up as far as what he led or how much of the sketch was aboutJon Hamm leading. So it seems like at the beginning of the night that this, because this was the lead-off sketch. This sketch happened right after the monologue.[26:49] And it was, like I said, like a Will Forte showcase. And Jon played a specific role in this. And then they had him playing Don Draper in the next sketch.Sketch the two a-holes which was really funny that's of course a Jason and Kristen vehicle he played a he had a very brief appearance as John F.Kennedy in another sketch but you can kind of I think watching this episode they're kind of ramping John up a little bit he played Don Draper a second time but this this one was a littletwist on it so Don Draper's guide to picking up women Jamie is a pre-tape it's one that that did stand out to me I know it was very very beloved amongst SNL fans. He's playing Don Draper again, but this time it was more fun and comedic. It was a twist on Don Draper. When asked about your past, give vague, open-ended answers.[27:43] So Don, tell me about your family. Any brothers and sisters? There was a man with bright, shiny shoes.I saw him dancing.Until the accident.[27:59] How mysterious. Yeah, I love this one.I think this is a fun just ode to Mad Men fans or just something that they will extra appreciate and, I mean, hopefully has a little bit broader appeal as well.I think some of the jokes work regardless, but I think especially for folks who know the character of Don Draper, there's a little bit more to the laughs on this one.So I love how he's basically kind of going through all of the different steps to, as it says, his guide to picking up women um all of the things that are just kind of a little bit ridiculous abouthis character or memorable so things like when in doubt remain absolutely silent which again on mad men you see that he is just this kind of stoic person especially in the early seasonsand just the women and the affairs come from every every angle and just like the reaction that like every woman has around him.Another one of the steps being like, have a great name. You have the context of like the ridiculous name coming out. But yeah, this was just a fun.[29:09] Fun way to kind of give a little bit of love to the Mad Men fans while also I think putting in something that anyone can appreciate.Oh, you're absolutely right. And I was in I was in the camp of not being a Mad Men fan when I first saw this. But I knew I mean, there are once you watch Mad Men, there are Mad Men specific things that are funny. But when I first saw this, I wasn't real familiar with Mad Men.So to me, this this sketch really just like it did convey just a good looking guy who doesn't have to say anything to pick up women essentially and so there's that joke as well so you're rightlike it's for mad men fans but it was for people like me at the time who was not a mad men fan so this this was that's good writing and and good acting uh by john and we'll see like that'sjust a common thread throughout all his sketches like he's just such a good actor he's just such a presence on screen he's has like total command of the material agreed agreed yeah This isa fun one.The next one. So we kind of are going chronologically well because this is such a fun episode. It is. And this next one possibly is the highlight for me of the night.I think with Vincent Price's Halloween special. So John plays James Mason, who was an old British actor. He was in the Stanley Kubrick movie Lolita. And I had to look up Jamie James Mason interview because I wanted to compare. And John was pretty spot-on.[30:38] No spaceman costume, James? No, didn't even open the box. Too old-fashioned.The suit was too old-fashioned?No, I had two old fashions and I couldn't open the box. I've been drunk since 11 a.m., Price. Please, James, family show.Understood. Say, where are the hordes? Cheesy, crazy, James![31:00] He had the cadence down. He had a good British accent. like this was a really this is like it's probably a deep cut impression but John Hamm's James Mason impression was reallygood playing opposite of course Vincent Price Bill Hader's character and then Kristen Wiig was playing Gloria Swanson from Sunset Boulevard this is set in the late 50s so what did youthink of John actually playing doing an impression like playing a character and not himself or Don Draper yeah I love that like the episode starts to like pivot in this direction right of justlike allowing him to do even more I feel like second half of the episode it's like all bets are off we'll let this guy just be be totally wacky and going beyond the the Don Draper sketches thatwe kind of had to start off so yeah I think this one is really just like a fun ensemble sketch for me right you have Fred as Liberace you have kind of Bill kind of coming it being like raisedI don't know if it's a platform or what but like starting off the sketch with like a little little bit of a gag, just kind of being frustrated that that device is not working as expected.[32:09] You have a little bit of everything, and then you have the impressions.I was not familiar with James Mason, so I had heard from folks that he did a great job with this impression, but it wasn't one that when I first saw it, I was like, oh, it's that guy orwhatever. But for me, even without that, just the line delivery and that drunken cloud over his performance in the best possible way just made it super fun.And he has a lot of great lines. The, hey, where are the whores? Just kind of like coming in.He absolutely was having fun. And it's fun to see somebody like Jon Hamm.He was playing in the SNL of the time.Because this was already a fun, this Vincent Price Halloween special.[32:55] It was either a recurring sketch at this point, or it ended up being a recurring sketch. But this was part of something that a lot of people liked about this part, this era of SNL. So it's fun to see John play with like a recurring sketch.[33:10] But it's always really neat to me, too, to see a host really pull off an impression because we expect our cast members to do that because they're on the show. This is what they do. But to have a host come in and have an impression and really pull it off.And that's what you see from a lot of the greats. Like Alec Baldwin has a handful of impressions that he was really good at.Not Trump, but stuff like Tony Bennett, stuff like that. That, like, Alec Baldwin had his forte of impressions. It looks like Jon Hamm.He probably, I wonder if Jon Hamm randomly told them, like, I can do a James Mason. So what I read about this, and someone might need to fact check me on it, but that he was supposed to be Dean Martin, I think, but then it got changed at the last minute.I don't know the why. I think it was, like, Lauren saying to change it, and he suggested that he can do James Mason. What's his name mason james mason um so i feel like that there it sounds like was an element of him suggesting it um and he does it i mean it's it's great yeah i think this might have beenhis best performance of the night for me just because of like the degree of difficulty for a host to do something like this uh the the next sketch i think is probably the most memorable interms of just the snl community at large yeah from this episode and we had a lot of this around around that time we saw like a play on the host name.So we saw like Peter Skarsgård, Sarsgård is a famous one.[34:39] So playing off the host name and creating a product and it's such a dumb idea, but it does work for me. And especially the delivery. So we have Jamie, Jonhams, Jonham, what a product.Tonight I'm here to talk to you about a product that doesn't need any glitz or gloss. It's a product that speaks for itself and I'm proud to endorse it.John Hamm's John Hamm. And you can eat in the bathroom.[35:07] Let's face it, we live in a fast-paced world. But if you're as busy as I am, every day you have to make a decision.Am I going to eat lunch or am I going to go to the bathroom? Now you never have to make that choice again. This is probably, across the three episodes that we're going to talk about, this is probably my favorite in terms of like you just may makes me laugh the most when i watch it right like idon't know what that says about my brand of humor but i something about just the toilet paper rolls of ham and like his commitment as he's eating this probably disgusting prop ham hamright um but yeah i just thought this was silly well executed fun um it's not super long it's not like he has this crazy amount of stuff that he's saying or doing but the line delivery of evenjust like when he's like now that's good ham just the way he says some of these things i I feel like brings the laughs. And when we talk about Jon Hamm and Hall of Fame and just his legacy as a host, I feel like his ability to take great material and elevate it is what I look for in those elite caliber hosts.[36:28] And this is one that I think actually showcases that really well. You're so right. He speaks with such gravitas. And that's what this sketch means. and I love that I'm a sucker for that when when it's really dumb material but it's presented in such a grand way with again with such gravitas like it's justlike that funny dry delivery of something so stupid I love too that they even called out the name thing he said I bet you I bet you're thinking that I'm only endorsing this because my name'sJon Hamm and this is Jon Hamm Then he had to explain how his name's spelled and it's not spelled that way and all that. So I love like taking.[37:10] Taking that idea for the sketch and really like putting it under a microscope and saying no i know i know that i'm up here because it's john ham and my name is john ham but here'sthe deal i'm not i believe in this product so he had to really deliver that like really straight like this is so, fantastic and this is another example like so this is toward the end of the night andwe're seeing like him get more responsibility in sketches as the night goes on i think there there really is like this upward trend of how much responsibility they're going to give Jon Hammthis episode.Yep. No, I, I love, I love that kind of flow with this episode.Like you, by the end of this episode, you really see like this, this guy can do comedy and like, you're not even that surprised by it anymore because he's just such a natural and he's justkilling it left and right. So yeah, I, I really liked the progression of this episode.Yeah. And speaking of gravitas, the last sketch, It's actually like a three-part runner, but they're back-to-back-to-back. Pat Finger.Hi, I'm Pat Finger, and I'm running for city council right here in beautiful Butts, New York. You know, I grew up here in Butts, so I'm very familiar with the sights, the sounds, and the smells of Butts Valley. In other words, I'm deeply concerned with what's going on inside Butts.I promise to improve our bridges and roads with a special focus on repairing potholes.I vow I will do everything in my power to plug up each and every butt's hole.[38:39] If there's one thing I know, it's this. To get these things done, you're going to need a finger and butts.[38:47] Cast your vote and put a finger in butts. Paid for by the committee to elect Pat Finger for city council.Would you vote for Pat Finger, Jamie? I mean, those ads were so convincing that I don't know how.The name change might confuse me a little bit, right?Like, it might get to me. But, no, this, I mean, we were talking a little bit about just, like, silly, dumb humor. And so we're, I feel like, doubling down on that with this one to end the night. But it's fun, right?I mean, it's basically a bunch of, like, finger and butt jokes for however long this goes on.Um but i i love that again he keeps a straight face pretty well like he's literally just giving the most childish lines and innuendos throughout and the fact that it's john ham makes it thatmuch funnier that this kind of larger than life guy type of personality is doing this kind of sketch sketch really makes it work.[39:48] Yeah, I love childish things that are said with such commitment and gravitas.John Hamm, more than most, pulls that off so well. He's running for mayor in a town called Butts. His name's Pat Finger.Of course, you can see where some of the jokes might go.He changed his name because I love the progression, the escalation of these sketches. So it was three consecutive commercials for Pat Finger, who is running for and i love that that he realizes why people weren't taking him or the ad seriously so he kind of like became self-aware and of course you know he changed his name to his mother's maiden name which was a cajun name uh deldo so yeah so that's just sort of like the cherry on top of of all the childishuh wordplay that john just sells so well like i'm a sucker for this probably Probably because of his delivery.Like, Johns is such a good actor. He made this type of material work.[40:46] No, absolutely. I feel like it was a perfect matchup of the right person to be doing this, this type of sketch. So yeah, this, this was a fun way to end it.So this type of so you're if you're watching this type of episode, as it's as it's going on, like your reaction after it ends as an SNL fan, are you just sitting there going like, dang, like, thatwas impressive.Like, what's your reaction after this type of episode, especially from a first time host?Yeah i mean i think for for me it's again if you had any doubts that this guy if you had seen mad men a few times or kind of starting to hear about this john ham guy doing some greatacting over on amc i feel like any of those doubts at this point are gone and you're like okay this guy is the real deal he is i mean a legitimate great actor but also just fun and willing to todo a bunch of of silly stuff.I think we see some of the silly stuff even elevate in the next few episodes, which we'll talk about. But I feel like by the time this is over, you're like, okay, this guy just talked about finger and butts for three minutes.[41:56] He's he's in like, we like this guy, we can have fun with him.He can come back. He's in.And he made an impression on the cast in this episode.Amy Poehler, I don't know if you've read her book called Yes, Please. I haven't. I haven't read it yet, but it's on my stack that I need to read.Okay, I'm going to spoil just a little bit for you. Yes, that's all right.I can handle it. So she had a funny story in her book about Jon Hamm's episode and about him in particular. So in her book, Yes, Please, she said that during Jon Hamm's first hosting stint here, she was pregnant and she was very close to her due date. And she called her doctor's office to check in with them. and the receptionist was crying and told Amy that the doctor had passed away the night before.[42:40] So this was on the set of a pre-tape that they were filming.I think it was the How to Pick Up Women pre-tape because I know Amy was in that one.And Amy started hysterically crying in front of everybody. So John went over to Amy, put his hand on her shoulder and said, in picture John Hamm's voice, he says, this is a really important show for me.I'm going to need you to get your shit together.[43:04] He told Amy that. Amy said she laughed so hard that she probably peed herself. And I know that that's something that John did to make her feel better and to kind of lighten the tension a little bit. And it was absolutely perfect. So if I didn't already think that he was funny just in real life and good on his feet, that Amy Poehler story about John saying that to her at that exact moment, it's like left no doubt in mymind.I don't know if you've ever heard Amy tell that, but I love that story. No, that's amazing. And again, you hear that story in his voice, which just makes it even better.Yeah so he yeah he left an impression on amy poehler left the left an impression on the show itself because this was season 34 that he did he had his first hosting gig season 35 it doesn'ttake him long to come back it's just a little over a year later season 35 episode 13 this was january of 2010 musical guest michael buble and that's important that michael buble was amusical guests tonight so we have Jon Hamm returning yeah second season in a row they must have really liked him so.[44:15] Yeah, this, his monologue, Jamie, he joked about playing variations of Don Draper in different acting gigs prior to Mad Men.So he's talking about Don Draper again in a monologue, not taking himself too seriously again.[44:29] It's always been a dream of mine to host SNL, and that dream came true last year when I did it.So honestly, this time it's really just for the paycheck. check i love that and i think with each progressive episode you just get the sense that he's feeling more and more at home and i feellike it seems like he had great relationships with the cast i don't know exactly the order of that if he had some connections with this era of cast first or if they developed as he was on theshow um but it definitely it feels like he was kind of intertwined with this era the like hater wig like that whole group of people he just fits in so flawlessly with this cast and i think thisepisode kind of his second episode hosting is where you really kind of start to see that it wasn't just kind of a one-off he did a great job and in his first time but he really kind of starts tofeel like part of the fabric of this era in a way that's that's kind of cool yeah i bet when the cast was told that john ham was going to come back they were probably like that's a great ideawe loved working with him last season so i bet a lot of them were really happy to have him back i have an important question for you jamie are you a fan of the movie the lost boys.[45:46] Not specifically oh man can i give a confession i don't know if i've seen it i don't know if i've seen it you know okay this is a safe space it's okay the movie came out in 1987 ohthat's where i was born oh my gosh i need to get on that yeah it's a good one the cory's cory hame cory fellman, they're both in that jason patrick's in that um also another person who's inthat is a gentleman He's a saxophone player named Tim Capello is in that.He plays a shirtless sax player in The Lost Boys.So he was the inspiration. I am sure, I'm 98% sure that he was the inspiration for Sergio.[46:32] So talk to me about this goofy digital short Sergio, Jamie. So much fun. um so basically have the guy who's getting cursed Sergio just keeps appearing in in being played by Jon Hamm in the most ridiculous ways just instantly silly right like wewere talking about the build up from the last episode of like putting Jon Hamm in these increasingly like stretch roles for for For him, this is just all in on let's have him play this characterwho is just hilarious. He's shirtless, right? Shirtless, shiny, kind of the hair, everything going. The absolute best part of this sketch, though, like the punchline at the end.I don't know if punchline is the right word, but kind of having him emerge covered in goo as the baby. When you find out the like whatever the good luck thing has been broken and so he'll be back but just one of my favorite like ends of a sketch in terms of just nailing that ending and inmaking it super memorable.[47:44] Earlier today, I accidentally knocked your good luck trinket out of the floor.I didn't know that it fell, and I stepped on it really, really hard, and I broke it. Sorry, don't be mad. No! No!Take her, and I just pull it. No! Here it comes.[48:16] Yeah john is really great at selling this goofy idea and i could just see andy and them telling him like we're gonna make you you know if you're up for it we're gonna make you justbe more goofy and silly and look ridiculous in your second time here because like we're not playing like we're taking some of the training wheels off and we're gonna have you shirtlessgyrating with the a saxophone covered in oil and goo are you up for it and john ham says yes i am up for it that's what i love about a good snl host we say we like to say this person wasgame and that person was game no doing something like this is game yeah yep next level game absolutely it's so it's so fun like he you get that goofball side of him yeah and i'm gonnaneed you jamie after we record to go on youtube and look up i think if you just search lot the lost boy saxophone player, you'll see the source material i am so curious now i did not knowthis and i actually need to watch that movie for sure when we stop recording i'm going to stay on with you and like i'm going to have you go on yes yes watch this okay i want to see yes ican't wait so that was sergio a lot lot of great this was a great episode like what else stood out to you here jamie yeah i mean i'll touch on this one just briefly but the the new senator onewhich is well it fits it's like yeah.[49:44] It's interesting to me in terms of like just letting him be goofy so this is one it feels like a very like dated of the moment reference it's talking about senator scott brown from fromMassachusetts. So as a Bostonian, that was my initial connection as well, who was like, I guess, known for being this like hunky kind of senator.I don't remember that being part of his aura, but I guess it was as kind of the basis for this sketch. And he's played by John Hamm. And you have each one of the folks in the meeting and various political types.I forget who exactly was who, but they're all kind of envisioning him.And then you have kind of the Jon Hamm, I don't know, not cutaway, but like the little person hovering on the screen.I don't know what the technical term is for that. But in all of these different.[50:35] Costumes outfits just dancing gyrating at one point he's in like a a flapper that was my favorite dress right yeah um so i mean it's it's a sketch that like yes feels very much a productof that moment they mentioned the scott brown thing literally during weekend update in the cold open of this episode so like this must have been a big story this week for some reason umbut taking Taking that aside, I feel like just what he did in that sketch was really fun to me.[51:06] And again, makes it very clear from the first two or three sketches that like this guy is here to just have a wild good time with us.Yeah, it's his second sketch in a row where he's dancing around shirtless. Yep.[51:21] So, you know, he was just completely up for that on this particular evening.[51:26] Yeah, and the way he played it too is Scott Brown. he would walk in like oops i accidentally walked into the wrong room and then he would on like flirt with one of them yep just tokind of like get and he would like flirt with each of them individually he knew what he was doing uh but uh yeah so i think i think this does like with this one in sergio there is thatcommon thread yep yep of that yeah um i guess we are gonna maybe go a little bit chronologically uh the next one is one of my favorite recurring sketches from around this time uh gametime with randy and greg like do you remember these when they were so goofy wonderful bill hater yeah showcase but john plays he plays an alien bill bill hater plays an alien he playsgreg who's quote unquote not an alien but he is but john matches bill so well playing playing a an alien in this sketch jamie i mean bill hater like one of the all-time time greats just so soincredible to be able to play.[52:27] With and play off of bill hater in the way that john ham does in this sketch was really impressive to me like there's a a moment or a few moments actually where they're almostdoing like synchronous movements together in like full alien style and i thought that was really well done um as they kind of keep multiplying and we We have four Greggs and then eightGreggs. It was a zany, fun sketch, I feel like.[52:57] It's cool seeing Jon Hamm too with some of these different pairings. And again, we talked about how he fits into this cast so well. But yeah, any time throughout these episodes where he's with Bill, I just love that.Because I feel like they have this energy or just something with their different comedic styles that just works well for me. So this was a fun one.Yeah, a comedic genius like Bill Hader sees Jon and trusts him as a comedic actor and a scene partner. So that was very obvious here. It was obvious in the Vincent Price one. It's just obvious how much trust that the cast has in Jon Hamm to pull off this material.I love when he and Bill Hader's the aliens. They're looking at that globe and the caller's like, oh, that's not good. They're talking about doing stuff to the earth. That's classic alien.[53:48] I love these sketches and Jon Hamm just felt right at home.Because i think they did these like three or four times and all of them were like five star solid yeah yep no this was this was great yeah i have a feeling that you love the next one too andthe next one might might be my favorite john ham sketch okay on snl so i'm gonna let you start start talking about it yeah so i assume we're talking ham and bubbly absolutely yeah so thiswas the you'll have to help me with the details here restaurant is supposed to be a restaurant was the the vibe right yeah john had an idea that he pitched to michael buble at a party whenhe was a little drunk michael buble sings he gives the backstory in song form so this is supposed to be be a restaurant yeah yes and the entire sketch is essentially sung to the tune of i justhaven't met you yet maybe little breaks throughout but you kind of get that whole like michael buble and and first of all like love the when you have the musical guests kind of coming inum to to have fun and and to be such a crucial part i feel like sometimes you have the musical guests coming in and they maybe say a line or they get to say that they were in a sketch butum i love that he is such an integral part of this and by the end you have michael buble basically admitting that he's been taking captive and asking for the police to.[55:15] Get involved it's a lot of fun.[55:18] Seeing kind of this side of john ham um in.[55:22] In this one yeah john is perfect as like this intimidating guy or this like low-key sinister guy like he's trying to like have a have a smile on his face and say hey come to ourrestaurant that serves champagne and ham and pork products and yeah bubbly and I just love like you see the intimidation you see you see that side of him in little spurts.Good evening. I'm Jon Hamm. If you're looking for a romantic night out at a restaurant that specializes in pork dishes and fine champagne, then look no further than Hamm and Bubbly.[56:02] It's actually pronounced Bub-lay. Well, Bub-lay doesn't work, so now it's pronounced Bub-ly.It's just like, this is played so perfectly. To me, this is one of my favorite sketches of that era, like 2010s, around that time. I just absolutely love this. You're right, Michael Bublé shows such fun comedic chops as well. This is a classic, in my opinion.Yeah, and I love just the interplay across these different sketches. You have him from an alien before to now this kind of intimidating guy holding someone else captive in this one.All of these different sides of Jon Hamm's character breadth that he can do.It's really fun. yeah this was great is there anything else from this episode that that stood out to you the only other one that i would give a quick shout out to is the the two-part closetorganizer.[56:57] Series um so this is super fun you have basically a ton of things getting thrown at the is it zipco is that the name zipco closet organizer yeah it's basically a guy in like a blue bluesuit will forte's character who's like just dealing with all this stuff kind of being thrown being basically the closet organizer marbles yeah pies pies yeah so it's it works on its own but ithink for me like seeing the second part was what made me really appreciate it so the second part being basically it seems like this random bar sketch you don't even realize at first thatThere's a connection. You have Jon Hamm, Will Forte sitting at a bar together, Jon Hamm recognizing and being like, oh, my gosh, you're that closet organizer guy.The guy from that wearing the blue suit and goes into this whole thing, finds out his name is Tarantino.[57:58] Fencing to and then like it becomes a whole a whole ordeal uh john ham's like asking him to do a little bit of his role and then you find out he like kind of wants to go over to hishouse or like meet up have him come over to like use his closet organizing services and the guy's mad that that's what everyone just wants to use him for and it's just fun right i feel likethey could have gone in the direction of just like giving us more of those like commercial spots but in 10 they Instead, they kind of like flipped it and gave us like the inside look at the guywho was in this commercial. So I thought it was a cool twist.[58:33] Yeah, I love when SNL does this and especially how they did it here.So I like runners in general, but you're right. This was like a different, this wasn't just a second closet organizer commercial. It was like that we've already established that there's a commercial.Commercial now we're gonna see the guy who play who was in the closet organizer commercial just add a bar somewhere that that was like perfect john it's kind of funny because in thefirst one john just played an actor who gave a testimonial that had nothing to do with the product so it was kind of like a non-sequitur testimonial so then john is in the second one uh asyeah you were as this person who's like and at first he said oh we can come we can hang out we can play video games we can let me have fun and then maybe you can help me organizemy closet and will forte is like oh Oh, there it is. There it is.[59:21] So it's a great acting by John. Just the perfect, like when he's revealing that Will Forte is the closet organizer. He does it in just such just a...[59:31] Great timing yeah great delivery in that reveal so that's something that's it that was again i'm saying this a lot but that was a very memorable sketch amongst snl fans around thattime and john ham again part of it so again so you two we're two for two as far as like would you consider this like a classic snl episode absolutely um honestly both of the like these firsttwo episodes like i was trying to think like of the three which are my favorite it's either number one or number two but I keep going back and forth like yeah I think the the first oneprobably had my favorite like sketcher moment with the like Jon Hamm's Jon Hamm but this one like from a consistency standpoint I feel like had a lot of just classic really great sketchesso it's kind of like it's it's hard to pick between these two yeah I think they're pretty equal I think Jon was given a little more responsibility in the second one yeah so if we're talking JonHamm that might edge it out for me but to me honestly these first two john ham episodes are two classics from the era agreed not a lot of n
Glenn Beck Special. 13 Reasons Why BIDEN Is A Dictator, NOT Trump. The noise from the Left has been nonstop for years about Trump being a dictator. An actual headline in the Washington Post read, “A Trump dictatorship is increasingly inevitable. We should stop pretending.” But who is the ACTUAL dictator in the 2024 race for the White House? Glenn makes the irrefutable case: fascism is already here under Biden. You may not recognize it because it's been quietly growing thanks to a sneaky administrative state modeled after Woodrow Wilson's that does not (yet) resemble the brute force of a Hitler or Mussolini dictatorship. “You Will Own Nothing” author and Main Street advocate Carol Roth argues it's not hyperbolic to call the Biden administration fascist. From COVID mandates, intentionally stoking inflation, killing the gig economy, and weaponizing the U.S dollar to freezing our energy output, Roth says the executive branch is trying to dictate every aspect of our lives down to what stove we use. But she also says we will continue to live under this administrative dictatorship unless the American people start to march on Washington to shame and threaten political power. Congresswoman Victoria Spartz, who represents Indiana's Fifth Congressional District, was born and raised in Ukraine under the old Soviet Union regime. She tells Glenn about the red flags she's seeing that remind her of the authoritarianism that crushed her family, “What's happening in D.C. is Karl Marx 101.” Instead of protecting citizens' rights, we're taking them away in very clever ways through federal agencies like the EPA and DOJ. “You buy a Bible and a gun in the U.S., you're labeled a domestic terrorist,” Spartz warns. “The same thing happened in the Soviet Union.” Watch this special at- https://youtu.be/wzpLlzFsGKI?si=IxQgZhc7MdKnGfdj Glenn Beck 1.27M subscribers 74,481 views Premiered Feb 14, 2024 #theblaze #blazetv #glennbeck ► Click HERE to subscribe to Glenn Beck on YouTube: https://bit.ly/2UVLqhL ► Click HERE to subscribe to BlazeTV: get.blazetv.com/glenn ► Click HERE to subscribe to BlazeTV YouTube: / @blazetv ► Click HERE to sign up to Glenn's newsletter: https://www.glennbeck.com/st/Morning_... He is loved by all! No one can even come close to beating the Don! And that is precisely why they're trying to destroy him, but alas, to no avail. Even CNN is admitting, whining in fact, wailing, that all of these efforts to take Trump out are only making him all the more popular and powerful, as you can see with your own eyes! The more he is persecuted, the more people, especially people who have themselves felt wronged by the system, love him! And there's nothing the powers that be can do to stop it! This day will be looked back on as the official beginning of the end of the establishment! This is the first hammer chipping away at the Berlin Wall, and make no mistake, IT WILL FALL! Our modern-day Berlin Wall is destined to fall, and there is nothing our corrupt, decrepit ruling elite can do to stop it, and I'm going to show you exactly why! Highlights: ● “Trump's enemy, our enemy, the enemy of 100 million patriots across the nation is not the Democrats! I know that all of these prosecutors, all of these corrupt, deceitful, vile prosecutors are Democrats, but they are just the surface! They're just the tip of the iceberg! They are not the ones who are ultimately calling the shots here, and every one of you knows that! You all know who the real enemy is: the real enemy is the ruling class, the permanent political class made up of both Democrats and Republicans!” ● “A Republican Attorney General in GA could shut this case down this very second and he refuses to do so! Why? You all know the answer! Because the Republican leadership is in on it!” ● “The rich got the policies they wanted even if the rest of us didn't want them (exactly what we're seeing right now with the hundreds of billions of dollars going to Ukraine, not Ohio, not Hawaii; Ukraine!) And whatever the rich didn't want, didn't get passed even if the majority of the people wanted and supported it!” ● “The real threat to the political establishment is ultimately NOT Trump. He's just a symbol, the major symbol without question. Make no mistake, the real threat to the establishment is YOU! They see YOU as the real enemy! What they're doing to Trump is vicariously what they are doing to us!” Timestamps: [00:49] Donald Trump's iconic mugshot and what it really represents [11:15] Who our real enemy is - how even Republicans are allowing these indictments [29:42] The billionaires and bureaucrats, the permanent political class using wokeism to stay in power [35:44] The real threat to the permanent political establishment and how this will all come crashing down [41:20] Q&A Resources: ● HE'LL BE BACK! (Karli Bonne') Wonderful to be here. I was saying to you before we started to be speaking with someone with that beautiful British accent on Coronation Day, and I took the liberty to ask you for apologies in advance for any memes or anything that I might have posted. That you would find offensive, but it's all good. We discussed it and we understand each other perfectly. It's all in jest, but congratulations. This is a historic day. It is. It is. And certainly, I know that you always speak your mind. Any jest and good humour and mocking is always welcome. So people can find you @KaliBonne on Getter and Truth and @KarliBonnita on Twitter and @RealKarliBonne on Telegram, nearly forgot there, find you on Telegram. And you, I just feel bad bringing you on because I think you're just up day and night posting. So I feel bad cutting into your proper job. I well, I've been doing this a long time. This is a new Twitter account. I've had like eight in the past. Elon Musk or his team reinstated one of my accounts midnight rider, But I no longer possess the phone does that I did it on doesn't work. I don't have the email or the, password so I just stare at it I look at it I go on Twitter said oh there's my old account and I waved to it I can't do anything with it and a dear friend from the Keystone Channel when I got finally got kicked off Twitter for the last time started my telegram account for me and now recently she started this Twitter account and they can't get me because she lives in Mexico now where she used to live in Europe. So, you know, I'm biding my time. I haven't even been on like a full week, you know? And it's like, you're on Twitter when you've been kicked off so many times, you're like, you're constantly looking over your shoulder. When are they gonna take me down? You know, I already got an 11 hour timeout. I got smacked on the hand because I called Brian Killmeade on Fox News a whore. But you know, it I didn't you know, it was a lovingly. You know, he does like a hundred different shows He does radio and anytime there's an open slot they stick his his head in and he took I mean, Tuckers seat wasn't even cold, and they popped him in there and you know, we were, I don't think it was just me. I think all of America was just livid over this and to put him in there. I guess, you know, and then, you know, he's had a few words about Steve Bannon and that really set me off. So the timeout was worth it and they didn't make me take down the tweet. So Brian Killmeade is still a whore. Give us give us a minute of your background. We were chatting before, obviously, you said what you're doing is, is fairly recent, although you're a master of editing those videos. But what was your, what was your life leading up to that? Well, as I told you, I was a wannabe rock star. My whole life I wanted to do acting or singing or modelling. I've tried it all. A lot of extra work. I sang in a Russian restaurant for almost 30 years of my life, every weekend, every holiday, every New Year's. And so, that was something I would imitate Marilyn Monroe. I had different characters I would do. And in between that, rock bands. We discussed how I lived in London for a couple of years trying to make it in music. And that was back in the day when we had People's Express Airlines and it was only $99 to fly to London. And the dollar was almost equal with the pound. So I had the most glorious wardrobe shopping in Kensington. And I lived in Camden Town. I worked at the Dingwalls restaurant in Camden Town and the big place you wanted to see was the Camden Lock, which was this little waterway with a little bridge and little canoes going through. That was the tourist attraction in Camden Town. Still is. When all of that failed and I kept trying, I started, because I was posting my music, I started with MySpace and Facebook and then all of a sudden this whole thing with politics started and I was like, who is this Trump guy? I mean, I loved him on TV, always made me laugh. And then I was like, they keep attacking this guy. There's something up with that. And I've been a Trumper ever since. And I have three phones. I just post and post and post and get the videos out there Telegram is a great, App because I can edit the videos right on telegram Which saves a lot of time and this this just what I do now. I try to make people laugh. I keep them informed I use the telegram is like almost like an aggregator, I post everything on there. A lot of people say well, why do you post clips from Fox and I'm like, Because it's basically the only app that lets me rip the video. Where I tried it with CNN MSNBC. You can't do it. They have it blocked. You can't screen record and I do everything from an iPhone I have like three little mini computers on my bed and I work, you know, like this I put the big glasses on and this is what I do. But I enjoy it. There's a lot of wonderful people that support me and use the videos. It's all good. I love having that telegram and getting all those clips that you put out, but let's jump in to the news. And as I said, today was was a huge day in British history. And I also get all the huge issues and push back on all the WEF stuff, everything else and I get that. But I do love the pageantry which is in the UK. So ProJam, can we play the first video? (video plays) God save the King! (music) And it goes on. That's a little, but what were your thoughts as someone across the pond, kind of, we obviously, Queen Elizabeth after such a long time, passed away, but kind of, how do you view those type of events? Is it with curiosity? Is it mocking even? Tell us Karli. Well, I mock everything. I have no mercy. I mock everything. But, you know, I've always, you know, the pageantry is beautiful, you know, and you like the intrigue. I'm not a big, crown fan. I don't watch the series or anything like that. I do love period pieces, because I love the costumes. I love the clothing. You know, you love all the gold and the diamonds, you know. You'd be a liar if you didn't like all that. And, you know, wanted to see what what Harry was going to do. And you know, I had it on the TV, but I was too busy making memes about it. I'm so sorry. But no, it was beautiful. You know, I woke up just in time to see Charles crowned, and there it is, it's done. And now tonight, which I find pretty amazing, they're gonna have the big concert, and all the people in this concert are American performers. What does that say? Here you have, here's your new king, who's very big with the W E F and the climate and all the stuff you would think Labour and all the lefties would appreciate where the queen was just like, you know, kept it on the down low. You know, she wasn't vocal. I mean, if you hear Trump's story about her, she said, oh, I like everyone. Everyone is wonderful. You know, she was just neutral and just kept the ship sailing. You know, this guy, Charles has come out and has said things like, we're all gonna die. We gotta do something about the climate. And you know, I don't know, is he gonna still do this? But the fact that you don't have, you know, where's Adele? Where's Elton John? I mean, why aren't they performing? I mean, this is a real slap in the face by your own people. That we got, we got Katy Perry over there and Lionel Richie. I mean, they had to take the stars from our Idol TV show. Seriously. There's one video out where there was a view of the chapel, and you can see like this figure that looks like he's the Grim Reaper walking across. And I put up, I said, is Gandalf Katy Perry's plus one today? Because they made a big thing. She had a whole article that she was making fun. She couldn't find her seat. We had, well, they had Jill Biden, the professor, Dr. Jill, the professor, all the way in the back row behind Slavonia. And, you know, she's all the way in the back. Joe Biden couldn't even be bothered to go. He said last night on his Fluff Piece, interview that he's very busy. You know, he's getting, you know, he wants to finish the job. He's very busy. Can I bring what actually you, the president, actually the president did come, Dr. Jill did come. I think she probably knows what's happening much more than Joe. But this is, I did find this Funny, Professor Curtains. Tell us about this, because she does seem to blur in. And there she is with her, was her granddaughter. And it does look like the Ukrainian flag in many parts, as she did. And their carpeting was Ukrainian flag colours. Did you see that? I saw that. Saw that. I was like, what is that all about? You know, I am friends with a lot of, people that look into things like this and see it as messages, you know, is there a conspiracy there? It's yeah, It's it's not that you're putting up the lookout on. Ronda, Ronda Nell, Iowa. I inspired her because it seems like everything that Jill Biden wears looks like a piece of furniture or curtains or something. And she did a whole thread over on Twitter with all the different looks like Jill Biden is a couch. Today, they put up she actually looked a little bit like if they melted them both together, it would have been Snow White's outfit, even with the little bow in the hair. It's just crazy. And she did shower curtains. See, I joke when I put it in a tweet that's like, there's what is Alice wearing today? The joke is she looks like Alice Cooper. Yeah. And we say, you know, and I'll put up an outfit that she has on at the time and I'll say, okay, everybody, what the hell is Alice Cooper wearing today? Everyone goes nuts and they do the side by side pictures and it's just become this running gag and some people have done whole threads. [14:24] They have found actual tablecloths and curtains and throw rugs and couches and vinyl shower curtains that have matched all her outfits. It's very disturbing. This is the First Lady. It's very disturbing. Yesterday she met with Kate. And I believe it was the Zelensky's wife. And they both had solid colours on they look very nice. And she came in with this flower dress. I said all I got to do is tip her over and put the tea on top of her and use her as a table. Cause she looked like she was wearing the tablecloth. It's true, I saw that. It's so embarrassing. Well, yeah, you've got many things in your political worlds are embarrassing. Actually, we also are the same, but let me, this was a clip, I think it was from Fox News. You'd posted talking about Biden being rude and anti-British. Let's bring this up. Pro Jam. Can you play that little clip? (video plays) Here in London. Also missing, of course, along with Meghan Markle, is Joe Biden. Biden is absent from the coronation. I do think this is a very rude signal that Biden is sending to the British people. A lot of unhappiness, certainly on the ground in the UK, with regard to Biden not bothering to attend. And Biden is seen by many Brits as very anti-British. Really? You know, Hilary, You see the woman, she said yes, because you realize it was just a week ago he was in Ireland. And he had the crowds all swooning and you know he can't get crowds like that in his own country. They all sit in little circles. They actually believe he's the president there, so they do come out. But you're right, he was over in Ireland and the whole thing was he was in Northern Ireland and the car, I think someone had posted, didn't even have a Union Jack on the car but he went to the Republic of Ireland and again all the tricolour flags and it seemed to be two fingers up to Britain. So yeah. That question, because you would know this better than I do, the part of Ireland he supposedly is part of or his, you know, lineage or whatever, is this the part of Ireland that doesn't want Brexit? Are they part of Brexit? So it was part of the Republic of Ireland. So the Republic being a separate country for just over 100 years. So you've got Northern Ireland as part of the UK, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. And you've got the issue with Brexit in Northern Ireland. But the issue is Republic of Ireland rely on the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland for trade. So anything that happens to us hits them. But it's a yeah, it's it's a very. We did one of these. Yeah, yeah, he did. Yeah, I know how to curse in British. But was that was that reported on at all? His trip over by a Biden trip over to the UK? Oh yes, they made a very big deal of it, you know. They're saying, oh, look how they welcomed him. And meanwhile, he was having his usual brain farts. He's there with Hunter, now supposedly Hunter, the broke son who wants to give less money to his daughter. OK? He supposedly slept on a cot while he was in Ireland. I'm like, give me a break. A lot of stuff is hitting the fan. I don't know if that was like their last hurrah trip. And then Jill going to England without Joe, like Joe is playing it low key, or they're basically, he's announced that he's running. So now there's no debates and they're gonna run the basement campaign they did during COVID. He did a little puff interview last night. Even with the editing, it was terrible. What, 10 p.m.? Was it late at night, 10 p.m. I saw. Well, I don't know that it might've been taped. I don't think it was live. Okay, so I think it was definitely after tapioca and close to bedtime. So I think, you know, they got him. He was still a lunch bag. It's embarrassing. But he has the media covering for him. He has newspapers covering for him. And now, I noticed that I'm on Twitter now. I would always check. They never tweeted for him much. I know he doesn't tweet. The man does not tweet. Okay, he just learned how to take selfies this past year. Because I remember when he started his campaign, he didn't even know how to open the phone. He was looking to see if it flips open. Okay, but he doesn't tweet, but it seems his staff, they think they're going to get him out there through social media. So today it's been like a tweet storm. I've lowered these costs and I've added these jobs. And it's like every 20 minutes or so, it's a new tweet with some lying stats. And what's great now that Elon purchased Twitter, he's getting community noted to death. He's getting fact-checked by the community. Not by Politico, not by all those phony fact-checkers that used to fact-check all of us. No, it's the community, because this is the town square. This is where we all go. We're all independent. We think independently, and we see that this is a lie. So it's a beautiful thing. Now, this is why they didn't get rid of TikTok. Because if you go over to tick-tock and I'm on my fourth or fifth or sixth account over there because they kept taking me down. They hate Steve Bannon on TikTok, Hate him. I've lost so many accounts He's the guy, gotta stop putting up the Steve Bannon videos, you know, and I'm like, I'm never gonna stop doing that, But it's all these young, with 1 million 2 million followers young lefty kids and and they've invited them to the White House. This is, you know, they're going to run their campaign the way they think Donald Trump did in 2016, where it was social media, minus the rallies, because this man can hardly speak and doesn't know when to get on or off the stage or what direction he's going. I'm just so glad he's announced he's running. It's one of the greatest gifts, I think, to your country. And the world. But you mentioned about in the interview, this is the Daily Mail article, Joe Biden claims he couldn't attend King Charles' coronation because he's got a lot going on. And also the interesting thing, and this was the editorial piece in the Daily Mail, it says, the president dispatched his wife Jill to attend the ceremony's place. I know that was a beautiful dispatched, it seemed to be quite disparaging, quite mocking. I thought this is great, the, media are getting it and they're willing to mock him and I've seen that fairly regularly, where in the first year or so he could do no wrong, he had slayed Trump and suddenly they seem to be turning on him and realising he's an utter disaster. Well, you know, the Daily Mail, that's a British paper, isn't it? So this is very insulting. I mean, they'll do different articles and stuff that are very good, but they cover the monarchy and everything that has to do with the queen or the king now and this, this does not rub them the right way. This is a total two fingers up that he didn't go, that he's too busy. Now I'm sure that the White House didn't use the word dispatched. I'm sure the Daily Mail is taking that a little that's that's their wording. You know, I don't think the White House would say that. And the fact that oh, he's very busy. Well, he's not busy with AI because Kamala is doing that now. He's not busy with the border because he sent my York is down there. What else is he not busy with? I can't think. And also, he's not busy with press conferences. He doesn't do those. What is he busy with? His team is arguing with Hunter Biden's lawyers. Hunter Biden wants to start his own GoFundMe for the lawyers. And Biden's team is like, you can't do that. I mean, we covered for you with the paintings. We couldn't be transparent, you know, you're solo artist, you're out there, you know, who buys your paintings, that's your business, that's separate from the White House. But now you want to start a GoFundMe for your baby mama problems? And now we're finding out, you know, Brennan, that the same cast of evil characters with the Russia Russia Russia hoax. Here we go again. They're the ones that we're talking to Blinken and do we got an IRS whistle-blower? We got other whistle-blowers and it's all bubbling up and you know what's going to happen? They're going to bring in Michelle Obama. How can they really run this guy? They won't let him debate. Yeah. They won't let him go out for too long and speak. They're going to win by tweeting and TikTok? A bunch of kids screaming on TikTok? Think about it. I think, you know, are they gonna have a new kind of COVID? Don't give them ideas. They're gonna have to pull something because you can see with the polling and with that, even with that softball interview last night, it's utterly embarrassing. And this coronation thing, him not being there, and they're keeping Jill very low profile. They stuck her all the way in the back of the church. Okay. We have no American media taking, you know, oh, she's so glamorous and look at this, you know, because she's not. She walks like she's been on a tractor for six hours. You know, this is not an attractive woman. And see Simpadwey, what kind of stupid thing? She's going to talk like this, like, you know, Jersey girl. Oh, it's such a mess. And, you know, for the life of me, because it's so embarrassing, I can't think like a Democrat and see how the hell do we get out of this mess? Well, let me bring up, this was the New York Post headline you put up, and this is another thing that Biden is not doing, sorting out the border. Beautiful headline, maxed out with New York City shelters full, Adams buses migrants to Rockland County. Furious officials say this is absurd, we will not stand for it. I love it the way these Democrat cities and states are actually beginning to feel the heat, whenever Texas and Florida and others say, well, enough is enough. How do you view this? Will this force things to happen? Will some of the Democrat voters waken up and realize actually what is happening on the border? Well, it can't be ignored anymore. And this is maxed out now, and this is before title 42 is lifted. Meanwhile, they never were really enforcing it. And they're trying to pass a bill to have title 42 for another two years, because even if it's, It was used for COVID. There's other diseases coming. They have these tent cities and stuff. They got scabies. We could get an outbreak of smallpox, measles. There's all other diseases. It's not just COVID. And they say, well, it was used for COVID. Well, it should be used for the next two years for a lot of things. I've watched videos where they're actually washing lice out of the migrants' hair. This should have been addressed when the first baby. First little baby was thrown over the wall. Not Trump's wall, another piece of wall, someone climbed up there and threw a baby over and left it sitting there. That's when this should have been addressed. When they had they weren't in cages, they were in plastic tents. And Ted Cruz went down there. That's when it should have been addressed. And they're saying, oh, we have a six point plan, eight point plan, my orcas should be thrown out. Actually, the way our country has been so overrun, I consider it treason. And I think Biden should be sent out on a rail. Because this is treasonous. This is invasion of our country. And this has been going on for two years. And they're saying Congress has to do something. We didn't have this problem when Trump was president. And they all had AOC down there crying next to a fence in a parking lot. And she said, oh, they're drinking out of toilets. Meanwhile, it's in those facilities, the sink is on top. And the toilet, it's one fixture. And she's drinking out of toilet, where is she now? Where is she now? They found a young girl was raped so many times, They found 47 or something different kinds of DNA inside of her. They have lost 87,000 children. Joe Biden is a child sex trafficker and a child sex trader, slave trader. They're talking about reparations in California. Look at your president, people. You voted for this man! And he is flesh trading your precious migrants that you're all so concerned about. And now you're saying if the men down there, which is a lot of men, Chinese men, all different countries coming in, if they dress up in drag, they'll be let in immediately. This is the signals they're sending out. We have warriors that are down there at the Darien Gap and at the, border since day one of this nonsense reporting on this. So don't say that this is all new news. We all know about it. America knows about it. A lot of Democrat senators, governors, mayors, congressmen that are on those border states, they don't wanna lose their job. They're speaking up now too. So the fact that they waited until the last minute. It's shameful, it's shameful. I don't want to see anybody in pain. Well, another thing that's shameful, and you talk about treason, you mentioned it earlier on, this was the headline from Fox News, Biden says Hunter has done nothing wrong ahead of possible indictment. I did listen to him saying that because I thought, no, surely he couldn't have said it. I trust him. I had faith in him and it impacts my presidency by making me feel proud of him, Biden says of son Hunter Biden. I mean, it's all out there, all the evidence. Again, will the American people get it? Because obviously the last election, this was suppressed and that's all come out. All the information is now out there. What's going to happen? Because it seems as though the net is tightening closer and closer on Hunter. Well, the fact that he went on there, he's gonna stick to it because he's a stubborn, nasty old coot, okay? A lot of people say, oh, he's got the dementia and stuff. I watch him in different settings where he starts drifting off, but then someone will shout a question at him and he'll turn around and snap and you see the nasty old man. All right? So I take the dementia with a grain of salt. I think a lot of it's acting and he's playing the grandpa love me Joe, but he's nasty. Yeah, this is a nasty white trash family. They're white trash. They're trash. And remember the video when Tucker Carlson interviewed Tony Bobulinski and Tony Bobulinski, Tucker asked him, he goes, how are they getting away with this? How did they think they were going to get away with this? And Tucker was being honest. He's like, you know, bewildered. You're telling me all these horrible things and you got proof and you got emails. How are they getting away with it. And Bobulinski just looked at him and said, plausible deniability. Because they're actors. This man, he said last night, I have the best resume, I've been doing this forever. I know better than anyone. Yeah, knows how to play the system, skated through it, kept getting put back in office. You know, you got friends at the unions that are gonna pay for the politics and pay to play. And then you bring in other countries. It's, I just hope this whole thing with Comer doesn't turn out to be like, uh, Trey Gowdy and Benghazi. Because here we all thought, oh, we're going to get some, every time we all thinking we got the popcorn ready and we're going to get some accountability and then it just disappears and we have nothing. And the left laughs. And we're left like just all that energy drained. So I don't get my hopes up. I post what's coming out. I keep everybody up to date with what's happening. And I keep myself up to date. But you know, I take every, I don't get excited anymore. They broke in my spirit. I want to see justice. There's a lot of things we still haven't seen justice for. What happened with Durham? Where is Durham? We made all the memes with, you know, the Punisher shirt and we're, yeah, Durham's coming. He lost two cases and then he disappeared. And they were such low bar cases to nobodies. And there's so many, in the hierarchy of the, as Cash Patel would say, the government gangsters, there's so many at higher levels of power that we have dirt on, that the country, the whole world has seen. And no one cares. It's business as usual. And that drives me crazy. Just when I think I can quit and say, Oh, everything's good in the world. I can't let it go because it's not been settled and these people are getting away with things. And every time, this is a funny bit, every time there's new news on some rotten stuff that these people have done, there's a new accusation against Trump. You know, don't look here, look here. but Trump did this, so don't even worry about that. That's, you know, that's Russian propaganda. Look at what Trump did. And then they put out videos of Trump and his deposition. And he's a beast. He's a beast. You know, I've never been one of those women that was like, oh, he said, grab him by the, oh, oh, that's terrible. Oh, you're such a liar. You're all lying. You women love it. Everyone wants a man's man. Nobody wants a Bud Light drinker these days. We want real men, especially if the zombie apocalypse comes, you want a real man. You know? So none of that bothers me. And all the phony, they're so phony. All of them, they act prissy and like, oh, it's so horrible. Oh, he's a rapist. Oh, he's this. Oh, he's that. And they're all, you know? Oh, you're so phony. I see right through you. You're a piece of... I have to mock you and meme you to oblivion because you're ridiculous. Ridiculous people. I love watching some of the depositions. I haven't seen it all, but they're so good. There's so many outtakes of it He's such a beast. Oh god, just when you think you cannot love this man more. Oh god, I love it. Wonderful. Let's go to something completely different. This is TikTok and I'm curious to get your thoughts, not specifically on this, but on TikTok in general and all the debate. I had to laugh at this. TikTok workers compiled lists of users who browse gay content, which sparked complaints from some employees who were concerned it could be used to blackmail people. Surely not. There's a massive debate at the moment in the US on TikTok and the influence it has. And of course, that leads back to China and whether individuals are in control of China. And this kind of connects with that, that TikTok gathering information to be used for blackmail, that kind of does connect at all the dots, doesn't it? But what's been happening TikTok-wise in the US? Well, I told you, I'm like on my seventh account, they keep taking me down because they don't like Jesse Waters, they don't like Steve Bannon, they don't like Fox News. Now you will get taken down for supposedly disinformation about the climate and it's basically an lbg ptq playground. And it's sad because you know it is a great platform for making videos and things it really, is a it's great I love using it a lot of people say oh it's china in my phone I said you're worried about China in your phone. Can we be completely honest here folks? You're worried about China in your phone. The overlords of our own government are in your phone. You have Google on your phone, you have Facebook on your phone. We just found out from the Twitter files that the CIA and the FBI were in your private messages. Okay? And you're worried about China? What's China going to do to me that hasn't already been done? Where they released a catastrophic virus and you're worried about TikTok? This is how I knew they were never going to get rid of TikTok. They went through the motions, oh, federal employees can't use TikTok. They could go home and use it, but when you're on the job or if you have a federal employee's special phone or something, you can't use TikTok. And it was all the big rage. They had the CEO of TikTok up there. None of these people knew what they were talking about. They know nothing. And another thing, if you've ever been on Discord, or any of these other platforms like that, gaming platforms, the CIA's in there, China's in there. I would say MI6 is probably in there. So this is nothing new. Spy versus spy, this is nothing new. So this new thing that they, you know, had a bunch of information, didn't we just get through a whole bunch of employees from banks that they got hacked and all their information was put out? You're going to see this a lot more, especially now we're getting closer to maybe China invading Taiwan, or right now there's a stalemate with the Russian-Ukraine war. We're going to see a lot more cyber stuff go down, a lot more. So, who knows, someone might just take TikTok down all on their own. So I just, I don't worry about it. I just use any outlet I can, whether it's to make videos, post videos, or share videos from. You know, because I got 50 followers now on TikTok when I used to have 20K. You know, it's hard to build up again when they don't like you. They're not gonna let people see you. So who does that, the Chinese overlords, or is this now the Democrat party that's in charge? Because if you look, all the people that say to get off TikTok are not on TikTok, but now AOC, what was it, Watermelon Head Schiff, the minute he got kicked off the intel committee, he opened up a TikTok account. Was crying over there, you know what I'm saying? These people don't care what you think. They don't care. They don't listen to their own advice because a lot of them know it's nonsense. So I feel bad that people's information is being put out there, but that's it. Look, your bank information could fall into the wrong hands. Look what's happening with the banks collapsing. All right. You know, you're one hack away. All of this reminds me, they took the show off, Westworld. Have you watched Westworld? Yeah, I've watched some of the early ones off it. Yeah, yeah. The last season, it was incredible. They were able to do with sound waves, like they would infect you with a fly, like a fly would fly into you, I guess with nanobots and stuff. And they had a building that you couldn't even see. And it would let off a sound, and it was able to control you. But the season before, the robots or fembots or whatever they were, were able to hack into the system and show everybody what everybody really thinks of them. Everyone was exposed. There was just one day everyone's looking at their phone. The system was hacked. The AI was hacked and everyone saw the truth and it became complete Anarchy. People were just killing each other left and right blow countries blowing each other up when everyone finally saw the truth It was anarchy now, what if we all finally got the truth and we weren't all just conspiracy theorists anymore, What if we finally were told the truth? Have they been hiding the truth from us because they're afraid of this kind of anarchy? Or do they just want to keep us dumb cows, tell us what to eat, what stove to buy, what car to buy, pay the taxes so we can have other people tell us what to do? Is that the point of our existence? or is our existence to ask questions, worship God, have a family, enjoy life, feel the grass under our feet, one with our beautiful world. Like Elon wants to go to other planets. Let's deal with this one because we got some evil people on this planet. I told you, I laugh at them. I get kicked off of platforms because I laugh at them. And I record myself laughing at them. It goes viral. And I laugh at them because it's like holy water on a demon. When you make jokes, like the memes are so important that everyone does because that laughter, it's not only good for the soul, but it exposes the truth. That's why they try to shut down so many comedians. And now the comedians are shut down because we got a strike. I saw that. No, but memes are so powerful. So powerful. And President Trump put up this latest poll, 2024 National Republican primary, Trump 58%, DeSantis 22%, Pence, is Pence still running? 5%. Ramaswamy 5%, Haley 4%, Christie. And what are your, because he obviously is streets ahead, and what's kind of the process? When did the kind of primaries start and when? I really can't believe anyone would run against him. As much as I really do like DeSantis and like what he's done in Florida, I don't understand the logic for running against Donald Trump. Well, from what I've seen in the past, a lot of people get in primaries because they're looking for cabinet jobs. They don't expect to be president like Ed Buttigieg and Kamala and all those people that lined up at the last election. Buttigieg is now in charge of airplanes. Look how good that's working out. You got Kamala, she quit. She was less than 1%. She quit before they even had a primary, and now she's vice president. So sometimes people run, like you saw President Trump put out a truth social giving some kudos to Varuswamy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I saw that. You know, so saying, you know, you're doing a good job, you know. He never puts down Nikki Haley. But he goes right after Ron because everyone says oh because you know, he's closer to him in the polls No If you know anything about our President Trump, He's been saying it his whole life. If you ever read any of his books or seen old videos of him, you know one thing, he values loyalty. He is a businessman if you're not loyal and I do something for you stay loyal to me. We'll make things work out. He could have made him, in DeSantis in 2028, the biggest thing anyone's ever seen. Or even think about vice president, but because he's doing this, now you got people fighting on Twitter. Oh, the DeSantis people or the never Trumper people and now DeSantis people and that Chris Christie and his fat ass wants to get in. Give me a break, you know? I guess nothing happened when Mike Pence went to give his deposition because I'm sure if there was one iota of damning things that he said, it would be in the news right now. It's true, yeah. Because they love to leak. They love to leak. So when you don't hear anything, that's a good thing. It's a very good thing when you don't hear anything. But Mike Pence, I don't know, is he gonna run? Who knows? A lot of these people. I mean, who is it that in California? It's this people running that have no chance in hell. It's a Hutchinson. Are you kidding me? A race ahead. Get out of here. All right. What does he want to do? Is he running so he could just collect as much money as possible? Then once he doesn't even make it to a primary, he can go and write a book and then do a tour. I ran for president a lot of see this is a whole, money-making scheme Beta O'Rourke has run for everything with his arms flailing in the air looking like he's on the parking lot of a used car lot. And that's how he makes his money. He's disappeared Where is he now? They got a new guy that did pumping up, to run against Ted Cruz in texas, I never heard of the guy, but he looks like one of these bodybuilders and there's already dirt coming out of the sky. You know? So bring it, people, because you know what? We do our homework and we will find the dirt on you and not be quiet about it. Let's move on to, there are lots of comments down on GETTR, I won't be able to pull them. This for just the first minute or so but we'll play it anyway. (video plays) Welcome back. Welcome back. President Trump, a quick word to the Irish friends. What's it like being back at Ireland for the first time since the election? This has become a big success. We love it. Special place. You see what happened out there with the kids and yeah. We help them and they help them. It's really a very special place. Great course, great hotel. You're here very shortly after President Biden's visit. What did you make of President Biden's visit? What did you make of the crowds? I mean, I didn't see too much of his visit. I don't know what he did here, but this is special. And we're here to pay homage to this great property. This property has revitalized a big part of Ireland and the people are happy. And we have incredible people working here. A lot of them, too. You see some of them, a lot of them. And so it's been great, it's been really great. There's a lot of yous in Ireland, a lot of them paying an awful lot of corporate tax here. Do you think some of that corporate tax, or at least most of that corporate tax should be paid in America? Well, that's an interesting question, but I won't answer that question in your country. But a lot of people would say yes, but Ireland's done a great job. You've lured a lot of companies in, and they love it here, they really love it here. They've been treated well, just like I've been treated well. This has been a great success, and we bought this, it was a great property, but it had to be finished. And we have really completed it, and it's beautiful. And now we'll do some additions. And the course is one of the best courses in the world, actually, one of the best courses, with some of the most beautiful dunes in the world. So we've had a good time. You've had some planning difficulties, though. What do you think of the Irish planning system and the recent refusal of planning commission? Well, I think we've had very good luck. You know, most of this is built because of planning commission. But what we've wanted to do, I think they've pretty much led us to the important things. There's been a lot of attention on the Northern Ireland post-Brexit trading agreements. How do you think those negotiations are going? Well, we're going to see. They're negotiating and we're going to see. But there are a lot of negotiations going on in Ireland and other places right now. But that's going to be a tough one. It's not an easy one. We're gonna have to work it out. Will cut short, uh, President Trump, but it was, it was Ireland. So he did do Scotland and then went to, uh, Ireland, but it's Right before that he was outside with a hat on and all the kids saying to him. Yeah. So I felt bad because he knew his hair was messed up. He knew it. He knew he had that little puff right there and he wanted so badly to fix it, but he was just like, he's so stoic. You know, he takes the questions, he knows, you know, sometimes they're going to be hard, but let's say, yeah, but and he knows how to direct to something else and say, yeah, but we're doing this and this is good for Ireland. And he's very good. He's, you know, Joe can't do that. Joe can't do that. But Trump, he always is so good. He, he, he takes all the questions. He, he doesn't but anyway, and he, he's that personal touch because he knows his stuff and poor Joe doesn't know what day of the week it is, never mind knowing about policies, talking to the press. Well, supposedly Joe was picked by Obama, for his, he was good with foreign affairs, and we all see what has happened with the foreign affairs. Since Joe became president, okay. If anything, he was good at foreign affairs because he was able to send his son the bag man and make some bank for the family. That's why he knew the foreign affairs. He knew who to talk to and where to send the poor kid, you know, who turned out to to be pretty rotten, you know, it's just, oh. But Trump, he's a businessman, you know, I love you get a morning Mika and and that whole rotten crowd over there on MSNBC and they're like, Oh, he's just a game show host. He's been a businessman. He's been in real estate. He's worked with the boxing, the casinos. He's not, just because he had a great show. All right, because of his status from all the other things that he did. Best selling books. I mean, come on, you know, they try to really cheapen him. Because they're so damn jealous. And they all loved him when he was a Democrat. Chuck Schumer was like, come back, come back, you know, when he was running against Hillary at that dinner. And then what did Chuck do? He came out with as many knives and Uzis and whatever else, landmines, anything he could throw at this man to ruin his presidency. Well from a political heavyweight to a media heavyweight, and then we'll just finish off with looking at your US military gone fully woke. But this is Tucker Carlson. This is just short, 30 seconds, I think. Pro Jam, play this and listen to Tucker and his speech. If you can. Or not. This is, well Tucker's line is, I didn't realise how much free time I would have when I accepted this speech. This is his first public appearance since his removal from Fox News. But what are, your, everyone is speculating, everyone is thinking what on earth is he going to do next. He obviously wasn't expecting it because he said he was going to be on on the Monday and then wasn't. And I mean, Tucker could do anything he wanted. So how are you watching this individual who is bigger than really anyone else in the in the media space? I'm what you know, when he posted that video at 801 on the first night that the whore Brian Kilmeade was in his slot and he posted on Twitter and that tweet of him, you know, just being him and putting out a message to everybody got more views than anything. It was just, it was insane. Like 25 or 40 million or something or some, It's like I don't even know where it's at now. It's just Ridonculous. All right, and uh, he could go anywhere the question I have is I would like him to do an interview or put out another video to let us unless he's, they might have him, Under a contract where he can't speak, like, you can go and do these speeches at these private venues, like, that video is somebody holding up a phone, that's uncivilized. He could probably, he could do things like that, but if he was to go on somebody's show, I mean, Fox could have him silenced. I would like to know these things. I want to know how much freedom does he actually have. Are they keeping a boot on him till after the election? How long is this gonna last? Are they paying him out? Is he fired? Was it mutual? You know what I'm saying? They did him dirty. They did him dirty. But is he and he can go anywhere. He could just start his own podcast. It would just be insane. It would be the biggest thing ever. Is he taking time now to enjoy his family. He'll talk here and there. I think he sent a message to CPAC in Ukraine, not in Ukraine, in Hungary, didn't he? He did. He sent a 30, 40, short message to them. But I think he did that before he was removed. Because it was on his set. Yeah. But he said, if I'm ever sacked, then I will be with you. And then he was sacked. Well, that's what I'm saying. Anything that he was to do now. He could get sued by Fox because he's under contract. You know that they get you. They get you. You thought you sign your life away. Or you read renegotiate but they could have him on hold for for six or nine more months. I mean, he it's not like he's he's gonna starve to death, but you gotta think of politically where we are. He was a huge voice that we needed and nobody on Fox is gonna fill that hole. So that's why we go the independent route and we all support each other, and just keep supporting each other like what you do. Me with my kooky videos and my memes and stuff, everybody, keep the pressure on, keep laughing at them, keep throwing that holy water, exposing these demons that need to be eradicated from our world. Because they will not stop. They will never stop. They will never give up. They're dug in. Now are we gonna be like all the RINOS of the past and the ones that want to move in now because there's a void there and we're going to roll over and show our bellies and say, oh give me a little scratchy it's okay, let it be like that no we've been fighting for too long to to give up now, way too long, please. Giving up, it shouldn't even be a thought. Can I just finish, just two or three minutes just on this. I just want to throw it in on the US military. And Steve had posted this, which Daily Mail story, but the Navy is 8,000 recruits short because red blooded Americans don't want to join a freak show, I'm not sure this Navy is ready to defeat the CCP fleet in a gun battle in the South China Seas. I mean, the last thing you need for your recruitment campaign for the military is a bloke dressing up as a woman and somehow, someone, somewhere has decided this is the way to fix your military shortfall. Um, yeah, uh, Steve calls it I perfectly. It is a freak show. Well, there's someone that is friends with that Dylan Mulvaney. Because they used to work together on the Book of Mormon. They were like theatre kids together or something. And they just put out a TikTok video showing this old movie. And it also had Ronald Reagan and where all the men dressed up like women and this was to raise money, for the for the military and, because of this old movie that this guy found he says What Dylan's doing and what the navy is doing is all right because look there's even a child in the audience and I'm like, No, no, no, no, no That was different because all those men that put on a woman's dress. And did some camp Okay They all went home to their wives, if they didn't get blown up in the war. Okay, it's a big difference. Okay, everyone knew it was just a play acting. Remember, you want to go back even further? Shakespeare, plays that were performed way, way back in the day, all the performers had to be male. And the men played the women's roles. Okay, so there's a talk this drag thing that you're doing the hyper sexualized. Yes. Oh, oh, all right. That's not what that old movie did. It was a bunch of men dressed up in these hokey lady, old lady dresses. Okay, and Milton Berle, that was part of his his shtick was, dressing up as an ugly old woman, okay? There's the comedy part and then there's this over-sexualized nonsense that's being pushed. So don't show me an old movie with Ronald Reagan of a bunch of our military guys dressed up as women and compare it to the nonsense that's being portrayed now, this hyper sexualization these guys you know, doing splits and big rubber boobies with nipples in the kids faces, Yeah, okay the heavy makeup. You know these drag is an art drag is a nightclub thing It's just like going to see a stripper in a pole dancing thing. That was drag. And now you got these really low budget drag performers going to kids' schools. And a lot of them have been arrested for kiddie porn. They've got their junk hanging out, their costumes are low, low budget. You got professional drag performers saying, stop this nonsense. It's embarrassing. We don't stand for this. We don't go to kids. I will. Who is it? Jesse Waters had a drag performer on his show and said that this is horrible. I don't stand for this. When I go out to the club. I don't want kids crying in the background. I want to have my mimosa and see a show. And that's my thing. But now the I don't know what is it with the kids. And you know, there's something really, and I don't want to say evil, because, you know, I hate to think that everyone's evil. But there's an evil agenda going on with this, a very evil agenda and it's towards the kids. And they started off, you know how you start with soft porn and then you get addicted and it has to get harder and harder to get more clicks or get more outrage. They're using it as a tool to get an outrage mob going on both sides, for and against. We still haven't seen the manifesto of the trans murderer. None of those family members were invited to the White House but the three insurrectionists were. And I thought it was also very funny. One of the insurrectionists, the guy with the bullhorn was out in front of the correspondence dinner, in a tuxedo with the bullhorn yelling at the people coming in, the reporters for climate change and get rid of big oil. Here's all the people that stuck up for this little maggot, and he's yelling with the bull horn in their face. Wow. Wow. Karli, I'll bring us into a close. As I said at the beginning, I feel bad taking out of your time on posting non-stop. Great having you on. Thank you so much for giving us your time. Well, this afternoon with you, this evening with us. Oh, this is wonderful. I was just, I couldn't believe you invited me because I'm such a goofball. And I always see, I always watch your videos and you have very serious people on. I'm like, what the hell does he want me on for? I am like goofy and you know, my eyes are wacky. And you know, I just make memes and stuff. This was wonderful. I hope everyone enjoyed my goofiness and listen, enjoy the rest of your celebration over there. I pray for you and I pray for your country just as hard as I pray for mine right now. They both need prayer. They really do. They really do. No, but I love your memes. Absolutely love them. And that's where we win this battle using the power of media and memes using humour. That's how you get people and that's how you connect to people. So thank you for what you do. And Midnight Rider channel, love it on Telegram. So thank you. Let me finish off with our viewers. Thank you for tuning in wherever you are, however you're watching. Great to have you with us. Obviously, if you didn't know Karli before, all the links are on the screen there, on GETTR, on Truth, on Twitter, and @RealKarliBonne on Telegram, so make sure and follow her. Or if you're listening on the go after, thank you for joining us. So I wish you all a wonderful rest of your weekend, and we'll be back with you on Monday with Tom Fitton from Judicial Watch. Oh he's my favourite! He's so good, I met him when I was over a couple, well, just CPAC and them before. And I love what Judicial Watch do, just the power of using those freedom of information on the government. So he'll be with us on Monday. He's another patriot that he doesn't stop. He doesn't stop. Like, I don't know when he finds the time to lift weights and keep up that Superman bod with all the work that he does. You know, I get the newsletter. 25 years, 25 years he's been president of Judicial Watch and it's a phenomenal organization. So yeah, he'll be with us on Monday. So on that, I wish our viewers a wonderful rest of your weekend and we'll be with you on Monday. Thank you for joining us and goodbye.
"BIDEN IS THE CRIMINAL, NOT TRUMP!"SPECIAL GUEST: Miranda Devine, Investigative Journalist
Donald Trump's legal troubles are mounting. A Manhattan grand jury investigation into the hush-money payment to Stormy Daniels could soon make Trump the first former American president ever to be criminally indicted. But the Manhattan case isn't the only source of legal risk for Trump. In Georgia, the Fulton County district attorney is considering criminal charges for Trump's efforts to influence the 2020 election, and the Department of Justice is investigating his role in the Jan. 6 riots and the removal of classified documents from the White House. This level of legal vulnerability surrounding a former president is unprecedented. It's also unsurprising — Trump routinely flouts protocols and norms. But even more than his disregard for convention, Trump has a knack for forcing our legal and political systems into predicaments that don't really have good solutions. How should a political system handle criminal charges against a current political candidate? Is it appropriate for prosecutors to consider the risk of mob violence in weighing charges? And what's the risk of damage to our institutions of holding Trump accountable — and for failing to do so?[You can listen to this episode of “The Ezra Klein Show” on Apple, Spotify, Amazon Music, Google or wherever you get your podcasts.]David French, my colleague at The New York Times, is a lawyer and conservative commentator who has been trying to parse the legal merits of the Trump inquiries and the thorny political questions they raise. In this episode, we explore the investigations into Trump's misconduct and the interconnected risks that he, his supporters and the Republican Party pose to our political system. We discuss the details of the Stormy Daniels case and why it may not be a slam dunk; the inquiry into Trump's efforts to overturn election results in Georgia; the appropriateness of weighing the “national interest” when prosecuting a political figure; whether Gerald Ford's 1974 pardon of Richard Nixon created a precedent that presidents are above the law; why French worries about giving a mob “veto power” over the rule of law; the Department of Justice's Jan. 6 investigation and why the legal definition of incitement might be hard to clear; French's belief that moral courage among Republican elites could stopped Trump's rise to power; why he thinks the Dominion Voting Systems lawsuit against Fox News was a “tremendous public service”; whether Fox News is really showing “respect” for its viewers, and more.Mentioned:“MAGA, Not Trump, Controls the Movement Now” by David French“The Potential Trump Indictment Is Unwise” by David FrenchBook Recommendations:We the Fallen People by Robert Tracy McKenzieThe Napoleonic Wars by Alexander MikaberidzeRing of Steel by Alexander WatsonThoughts? Dan and Corey open with the emotions of being tied to our opinions and political views. Viewing the Trump presidency and Trump voters in hindsight should be objective. Trump voters are NOT Trump. Trump showed us the "the lesser of two evils" approach IS NOT WORKING. Demand better. We bring YOU, the people into the fold. What do YOU think about the social and digital civil war? Thanks to our Redditors for their responses to our question! (Send us and email at Libservativepod@gmail.com OR tweet at us @LibservativePod OR send us a message on our Libservative Facebook Page).ALL Censorship is an issue. Bad and offensive language is okay...the court of public opinion always wins out...right? We give you the final verdict on our thesis. How real is the social and digital civil war? Can we fix it? What did Dan and Corey learn from the discussions this season? And what did you learn?#MakeThinkingSexyAgain! Muah!!
In this week’s episode of Politics In Question, Julia, Lee, and James discuss President Joe Biden’s performance during his first 100 days in office. Is Biden a transformative president? Or will his presidency be remembered as “Not Trump?” Can presidents even transform American politics? These are some of the questions Julia, Lee, and James discuss in this week’s episode.

Lindsey Graham said Sunday that the FBI and Justice Department exhibited a 'double standard' in the 2016 presidential race in how it went about informing Hillary Clinton about an investigation into foreign influence in her campaign but did not do the same for Donald Trump. The South Carolina senator told Fox News' Maria Bartiromo on Sunday morning that FBI leadership shot down a request for a FISA warrant until Clinton was briefed on the matter. 'They never did to Trump,' Graham said during his interview on 'Sunday Morning Futures.' 'As a matter of fact, not only did they not tell Trump, they used a generic briefing to spy on Trump.' He pointed to a newly released redacted document detailing an October meeting where FBI personnel briefed the Clinton campaign so they were able to fix the issue without a FISA warrant ever being needed. *** The Patriot Beacon #1 Tactical Flashlight on the Market Link: https://www.patrioticlegacy.com/product/patriot-flashlight/ Coupon code: Duran20

US VERSUS THEM: Okay Guys, this is going to be a different kind of podcast than what you're used to from The Dad Presents. I want to do this new podcast series because I feel It's time for Americans to begin to heal and unite. America is divided more than I can ever recall in my lifetime, and we need to come together and recognize that we all mostly want the same things: we want health for ourselves and our family, we want to be able to put a roof over our heads and food on the table, and we want our children to grow up in a safe environment where they can grow and learn and have fun and thrive. You and I are on the same team. The elite: the politicians, the media, the billionaires- they are our common enemy and we need to start calling that out and uniting against them. Friends and families, have been torn apart in the past few years because they've been fooled by politicians into choosing sides along party lines of team Democrat or team Republican. Here's the truth — if you make less than 100 million dollars per year, guess what, the government is not on your side. Not Obama, Not Trump, Not Clinton. Not Bush. Not any of them. The elite rich and powerful use their power and wealth to gain more power and wealth. The Republicans and Democrats differ only in rhetoric. And when it comes to voting on stealing your rights (like the patriot act), or stealing your money (like the bailouts), or going to wars that enrich them, team elite votes unanimously together. They've fooled you into choosing these teams. The United States Government will break your knees and then give you a crutch while they steal behind your back. They want us to team up, let's team up. The team is Us and our enemy is them.

Also, Trump orders his staff to boycott the White House Correspondents' Dinner to prove that everyone will follow him into a dumpster fire.

The Single Mom Podcast - Single Parent Advice, Support & a Little Bit of Humor
HAPPY 2017!!!! I hope that the first few weeks of the new year have been good for you. I know that this has been a scary couple of weeks for me. As many of you listening know I am not a huge Trump fan. To be honest he scares the hell out of me and I find him kind of childish. However, like it or not, he is the new President of the United States. That being said I decided that this would make for a good topic for this podcast. Not Trump per say BUT my ability to manage how I feel about Trump. What does any of this have to do with New Year's Resolutions you may ask? Well, here's how. I have always had an issue with making New Year's Resolutions mainly because of the mindset around them. The fact that we are supposed to tell ourselves that the very first day of a New Year holds some secret power over us to make us do things that we haven't done ALL YEAR LONG! Like some sort of ass backwards Cinderella - the stroke of midnight is going to somehow make us magically become better at doing shit!? Um-no. That isn't how it works. We can tell ourselves that all we want but if we are truly being honest, the second we make that resolution we already have a part of our brain ticking down the time until we break them. The simple idea of a New Year's Resolution brings that idea of when we are going to break it into our minds. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
A daily devotional through the recorded words Jesus spoke while He walked alongside us. Our website http://alittlewalkwithgod.com. Today's Scripture Focus Luke 12:31-34 devotional summary Should we vote? Yes. Should we support a candidate? Yes. Should we pray and get involved in things that will make a difference in the welfare of others as we continue on this earthly journey? Yes. We are to be good citizens as long as we are here. But we should not get so bent out of shape when things don't go the way we think they should. God gives promotion, not men Proverbs tells us. God allows elections to go the way they go. But we are citizens of heaven. We know the final outcome and need not worry about the things of this world. God is still on the throne and none of the actions and activities that happened in the last week caused even a tremble in His throne room. As Christians, we have an opportunity to bring unity to our world. We can show the world that all the craziness that is happening around our nation and our world is just that - craziness. This rampant fear and mourning and protest and pandering and maneuvering going on is just insane. God is still in charge despite what anyone else might think. As Christians we have an opportunity to get that message out and bring peace to those who are wallowing in this insanity. God is still in charge. Not Trump, Not Clinton, Not Obama, Not Congress. No one but God. The question is whether we put our trust and treasure in Him so we have something that will last or will we be like the crazies in the street and just let everything go up in smoke. It's time we show what it means to have our hearts in heaven and let the rest of the nation see what peace looks and feels like. So, are there still any Christians out there that can show the rest of the nation God's way of peace and joy at the end of the day? Today's Bible reading plan: Read it in a year - Ecclesiastes 7-8 see the whole year's plan here
