Send us a textThe speakers are Marc von Grundherr of Benham & Reeves , Jeremy Davidson , Farnaz Fazaipour, Matt Smith & David Mckee. Leading experts in London's property market.  They discussed the potential impact of the Labour Party's property reforms, particularly the Renters' Rights Bill, on landlords.Marc von Grundherr argued that the reforms may not be as problematic as feared, as landlords seeking long-term tenants could benefit from more stability. However,  highlighted the issue of evicting problematic tenants, noting the need for a more efficient court system or housing tribunals to handle this.Jeremy Davidson shared a personal experience as a tenant whose landlord failed to renew the tenancy agreement, questioning who benefits in such situations.Farnaz Fazaipour criticized the reforms, arguing they will demonize landlords and lead to more landlords selling their properties, thereby increasing rental prices.Farnaz Fazaipour emphasized the need for the Labour Party to prioritize passing the Leasehold Reform Act, as it has been pending for years and is causing a standstill in the market for those with short leases. Finally, David Mckee concluded that the reforms will negatively impact small-term buy-to-let investors, pushing the market towards large-scale landlords, which could shrink the supply of rentals in prime residential areas. The overall sentiment was that the Labour Party's property reforms, while well-intentioned, could have unintended consequences for the rental market and landlords if not carefully implemented.PROPERTY WEALTH - Transforming challenges into opportunities with specialist knowledge and reach. ON COACHING | Why does the topic of New Year's resolutions often elicit an eye roll? Maybe it feels cliché or maybe it's your personal history with it or maybe it's the national track record–an 80% failure rate by February. But what if we shifted our perspective around goal-setting from zeroing in on one particular outcome at one particular time of year to focusing on character growth and becoming a more committed being? A person who consistently follows through, sticks to their word, and has the power to make things happen in the world. Coaches Rosanna Tomiuk, Joseph Thompson, Randy Poon and Chris North turn the traditional idea of goal-setting upside-down, challenging listeners to rethink their approach as they discuss setting goals based on passion and inspiration, rather than on fixing problems; why engaged detachment is so effective; the trap of holding happiness hostage; and the benefit of community for accountability. They send you off into 2022 with specific goal-setting tactics that have made a powerful difference for them and their clients. "There needs to be an equal, proportionate upgrade of resting as you upgrade your performance." Navigating the holidays: three segments with Novus Global coaches Amanda Jaggard, Chris North, Dan Leffelaar and Johan Martinez-Khalilian.1. Family Expectations + AgreementsThe holidays can bring about both joy and immense pressure...demands for your time; high expectations from your kids; managing finances, travel, or sensitive family dynamics. Amanda shares insights from her various lenses over the years--single, married, divorced, before children, after children, and through lifestyle changes. She and the team detail three specific tools to use to set you and your family up for success during the holidays and beyond.2. Cultivating ConnectionWhy do we gather? For many of us, a desire for connectedness is at the root of the holiday tradition; yet meaningful connection sometimes gets overshadowed by a sense of burden and obligation. The group discusses this common disconnect and how to realign. Chris explores divisiveness, tension, curiosity, and why it is so beneficial to approach gatherings with a posture of "listening to understand, rather than speaking to be right."3. Grief + LossIt's natural to feel grief more deeply during the holidays, a time when we're expected to be happy. Johan, Dan and the team share personal stories about their own experiences with grief. They address different types of loss that people face--death, divorce, unemployment, the loss of an expectation ("Why don't I have a family yet?")--and how to create space for both sorrow and joy to coexist.Novus Global is a tribe of elite executive coaches who work with Fortune 500 Companies, Professional Athletes, World Renowned Artists and Business Leaders to create lives, teams and companies that go beyond high-performance.Book a free consultation with a Novus Global coach here: http://novus.global/now/ This podcast is produced by Rainbow Creative with Matthew Jones as Senior Producer and Jeremy Davidson as Editor and Audio engineer. Former teachers/current Novus Global coaches Amanda Jaggard, Laura Leffelaar, Randy Poon, and Joseph Thompson discuss the venn diagram of teaching students and coaching adults. While the disposition required of great coaches and teachers is similar--an unconditional belief in their clients or students--the approach is not the same. The group discusses artificial limits, inquiry-based coaching, and how the ability to impart knowledge effectively in a classroom is a different art than the ability to ask the right open-ended questions to "unleash the genius" in a client. Novus Global is a tribe of elite executive coaches who work with Fortune 500 Companies, Professional Athletes, World Renowned Artists and Business Leaders to create lives, teams and companies that go beyond high-performance.Book a free consultation with a Novus Global coach here: http://novus.global/now/ This podcast is produced by Rainbow Creative with Matthew Jones as Senior Producer and Jeremy Davidson as Editor and Audio engineer.

DEAF TO ALL BUT METAL PODCAST - BLACK METAL EPISODE While the Tain's away, the Gary Grim will play BLACK METAL!!! Joining Gary in the makeshift DTABM studio for this episode is Jeremy Davidson a.k.a Nekrokvlt a.k.a Plague Belcher (from Snowdroppers/JD and the Hunger Men/Telling Natriz to have another drink fame). The guys talk about and play some old and new black metal tracks of the grimmest, most nekro and frostbitten quality. They also get sidetracked by a phone call to Austria and other non sequitur nonsense. Basically, we're screaming into the uncaring void and having nothing returned except for indifference - perfect for an episode comprised entirely of black metal. Plus, there is the drunkest easter egg in the history of the DTABM podcast so stay tuned until the bitter end! In this episode of the podcast, we are joined by would-be usurper Jeremy Davidson of Snowdroppers/JD and the Hunger Men/Nekrokvlt fame. Things start off in their regular fashion with talk of metal and an interview with Jeremy about a musician's life on the road and the state of the music scene in Sydney. However, when our guest from Hollywood Christopher Walken joins us (and it's obviously really him), things go off the rails and the show descends into drunken chaos of the best kind. There's dancing, failed attempts at improv, dong huffing, questions from the audience, open air dick farts, in jokes, COG and, of course, METAL!
